for like 3 weeks i was wondering why i was sleeping so much and felt listless. and just now I managed to email 3 people and responded to a month old message in the span of an hour because I got back to TAKING MY FUCKIN MEDS..........

#MOTHER FFFFUCKER #to be fair. my doc said I could stop taking them while im on break since i wouldnt need to be constantly pumped on stimulants #im not sure if it was a side effect but i managed to take like 3 different naps in one day and STILL managed to sleep thru the whole night #at least 2 days into my break. the weird thing is i didnt feel more or less rested afterwards. but mentally i think im in a good place rn #to really put the level of awakeness im at rn i feel weirdly confident i could start one piece. also bc of that sick new opening it BANGS #the song is really good and im in love with the animation style. did some digging and it seems one of the lead animators is masato mori #but i could be wrong. it seems he also did some work on mp100 which could explain a lot lol.. he uses smear frames really well to convey #consistent movement and fluidity!!! someone else might have done color design but it works really really well esp with odas style!! #just love the overall vibe and aesthetic and id really love to study it and incorporate a bit of it into my art.. especially the thick #outlines which i think helps to separate characters and objects on screen. though i have to say the style is definitely more suited to #animation bc of the simpleness and smears. maybe that will help me explore shapes and perspective when i draw... i wanna get better #at drawing poses and angles but i have a hard time wrapping my head around space and using perspective guide lines NGHHHH #i wonder if it has to do with my dogshit ability to judge distance. not depth perception but like. judge how far smth is in metres etc #im also wearing an N95 for the first couple weeks back bc of the wave. absolutely NO BODY is wearing a mask its so fucking over #where im sitting ive heard 5 different people coughing probably not into their elbows!!! and im just. head in my fucking hands #there was a kid sitting a couple seats away in class coughing as he pleases and i wanted to grab him in a chokehold so badly. I dont talk about animation much bc i know id be insufferable but i think my biggest issue with the recent disney movies (im talking like.... tangled- present) is that they all look the same. The animation is fine the effects are fine the stories are hit and miss. But u can tell that all the character designs were done by the same team of artists. Nothing wrong with the style per say but i wish they would.... do something different :/

Tbh the funniest thing I've seen crop up for mob psycho s3 is when people complain about the characters being off model. Like.... really?? Off-model animation... in mob psycho 100.. Ohhg the horror. Surely the roughness and creativity and freedom in style hasn't literally always been part of this show's art direction.. mob psycho has never been off-model before. Yup.....

#like not to be a hater but like. #....i feel so underwhelmed #its so odd how half of the show feels like a lab grown “sure to do numbers on tumblr” by the book experience and then the other half is lik #the weirdest most well animated love letter to late 90s early 2000s computer media. #and how none of those 2 halfs manage to congeal well to me at all and creates something that feels so fanficky in its creation i cant help #but feel disinterested in literally anything it has to say because i know they werent thinking that hard about it. #like i told my friend that you could replace the setting with a haunted house or a deep sea cult and fundamentally you would have the same #plot and charactertization. #nothing felt fundamental to its premise beyond its comedy and “nonspecific glitch monster” and created something that i feel relies purely #on style with zero substance. it feels like keto diet the animation. #and like it sucks bc im struggling to figure out whether or not it was a personal taste issue or if it genuinely didnt work from a writing #level. #and like ig thats a good thing im thinking so hard about it but ngl i probably wont go back to watch any new content they make for it. #ngl from the little ive seen of murder drones its the same thing? so maybe just stylistically glitch's projects arent a thing for me. #thats entirely a possibility.

To be entirely honest I have no idea.

It’s not abandoned, to be clear, and it’s going to be finished. I just haven’t cared all that much about marvel in a hot minute, and writings like pulling fingernails when I’m not interested in the material. I’ve also noticed that it tends to make for some of my more poorly written chapters.

That being said, hyperfixation happens on the turn of a dime for me. It could be a week; it could be a month. I don’t really know. It will come though! I really love kintsugi and have no intentions of abandoning it.

#I do have to reread it before I update too #i change my style based on who’s narrating and that’s one of the reasons why updates fall off when I lose interest #it’s hard to maintain the characters inner voice #overall fanfiction is my ‘fun’ writing where I let myself cut corners and experiment so I am just very unserious about it overall #for my original works I make myself stick to projects a bit more and build writing stamina but im kinda here for a good time #I have decided to make myself finish up more works before I succumb to any new ones tho #tho those are probably gonna be toy rosaries and pez dispenser debris #that’s not to say that kintsugi or nhthcth will be neglected they’re just so much longer than the other two #my nhthcth are very long suffering they know that I will disappear into anime bog and return six months later with like seven updates #and there’s no in between #I am how I am
