Why not both?

For Pip:

Sexuality Headcanon: Gay, no doubt about it. Idk where else to put this but an interesting tidbit is that in the 19th century left-handedness was a sign of homosexuality, and Pip uses his left hand as his dominant hand a lot in the show, so make of it what you will.

Gender Headcanon: Cis, never really thought about it tbh.

A ship I have with said character: Bip, my soon-to-be 9 year old OTP, aka Butters x Pip. I have a lot to say about this ship but I'll make it brief. This ship,while seemingly saccharine on the outside, is extremely bittersweet not only in a meta context(Butters indirectly killed him not only in a meta sense, but also in being the first one to draw attention to Tom Cruise in 200), but in-universe as well, in the sense that even if they get beat up,insulted or abused, they still have each other, but how long until Butters realizes he wouldn't be getting so much mistreatment if he wasn't dating Pip in the first place?How long until Pip lets Butters take his repressed anger out on him because "there's no other way", or maybe he'd let him do anything because he's that desperate for attention, any kind of it?There's just a lot of things you can do with it and you could nurture it into a good ending against all odds or a gritty grimdark ending. Also it'd be funny to see Butters' parents react to seeing him date a more passive version of him.

Besides Bip though,Cartip aka Cartman x Pip is just a very entertaining ship for me, purely because their scenes together have a lot of dom/sub tension to them and also for its comedic value.

A BROTP I have with said character: Pip and Dougie are a good pair and it'd be fun to see what interests they could have in common, but it's super weird that they didn't interact once in Two Guys Naked in a Hot Tub, though that's probably because Dougie's kind of a third wheel in that episode. Pip and Stan might be very unlikely and Stan wouldn't want it for the life of him but I can see it as a one-sided thing.

A NOTP I have with said character: I really don't have one I think?

A random headcanon: His parents were killed in a home invasion by a frenchman, which is why anything french related is a trigger and why he hates french people so much, to him they took away his one chance at having a decent life, though he doesn't remember that his own parents hated him too.Also it'd be super funny if he was a Barbra Streisand fan so yeah.

General Opinion over said character: Pip's tied with Butters(my opinion on him is pretty complicated though) and Dogpoo as my favorite characters, so there's a lot to unpack here. He's a repressed Victiorian orphan child put into an uninhibited 90s setting, someone whose purpose is to be really cringe and annoying,but on the other hand the cringiness is what makes the gimmick with him funny, how deep can the cringe go and how much will his abuse escalate, and what does he truly think about it?(tbh this entire gimmick with him would most likely culminate in death so that was pretty obvious in hindsight)At the same time there's a sense of pity or worriedness about him as well,and it's really nice when he actually has friends who like him back in Butters and Dougie. In terms of his death it's so inconsequential and blink and you'll miss it that I normally don't think about it much when analyzing him, but ig it's interesting to think about where he'd go after dying?(the obvious fanon answer would be Hell, but Heaven was recruiting more people in season 9, but also his death was unnatural so maybe Limbo?)

Now onto Clyde:

Sexuality Headcanon: I'd say Bi but knowing Clyde he'd label himself as Questioning or Heteroflexible for a very long time.

Gender Headcanon: I view him as cis though maybe he'd question his gender identity too?I could see that but can't pinpoint exactly what he'd question himself as, maybe agender idk.

A ship I have with said character: Cryde, I'm really a sucker for "doppleganger" ships so this one fits the bill, but also if you look deeper into it you'd see that amidst the superficial similarities they have a lot of differences too. Also I really just love the bro vibe they'd give even after they'd start dating, they seem like they'd just be super chill together and wouldn't have many worries about big arguments. I think both of them could also benefit from one another?Clyde would let his insecurities go after he sees that Craig has no problem with how he actually is, and Craig'd probably like being with someone who doesn't mind being mundane.

A BROTP I have with said character: Cryde again, for the bro energy that I mentioned above, but also Twyde, they can be conspiracy bros together and talk about how the government wants to control everyone, though Tweek would be on the more supernatural side(like the Underpants Gnomes) while Clyde would go for the more sci-fi side(he didn't believe in supernatural zombies existing but had no problems believing Covid and QAnon conspiracies).

A NOTP I have with said character: Nobody really, at this point idk if I have NOTPs anymore lol, but Tyde when used just for the "Pair the Spades" trope maybe?But that's just how I feel about people doing Pair the Spades in fics in general.

A random headcanon: Even though Clyde is a naturally emotional person, his mom's strictness over rules made him supress said emotions and indirectly made him ashamed of being emotional and not the Cool Popular Guy he wanted to be(that and probably toxic masculinity in general). Because of this, he idolizes Craig, especially his attitude and coolness, and he's his ideal on what the Cool Popular Guy should be, so even though he had his own brand of deadpan and snark before, he started to imitate Craig's mannerisms more in an effort to seem cooler.

General Opinion over said character: Even though he's kinda inconsistent in the show, Clyde's a pretty interesting character to talk about and analyse on, I like him a lot though my interpretation of him is probably more of an Outsider Artist's view on things. For me, he's someone who is more middle of the road academically and socially, not that smart but not that dumb either, and even though he can be easily misled into a fall from grace and said downfalls might cloud his judgement until someone knocks him out of it, he's normally not ill-intentioned. However, he often lets his insecurities and self consciousness get the best of him, so he's at his best when dealing with said issues(Lice Capades is definitely my favorite Clyde episode).

But, I've finally watched the barbie movie and also started watching the new Jujutsu Kaisen season. (ง^▿^)ง I managed to watch the first five episodes and I can't wait to watch more. It's understandable why everyone is back in their jjk phase, seeing the characters animated again is great!!! And I really loved the barbie movie, but I won't lie: I knew nothing about it, so I was horrified when the men started being disgusting and embarrassing. (ọvọ)

Pps: Mosquitoes are so annoying, if they disappeared I'd be so happy. But the biggest problem in my house are the ants (I'm terrified of them because of childhood trauma). do you know how you want the story to end when you start, or are you just stumbling through the figurative wilderness hoping to find a road?

kind of both tbh XD for long fics, i usually have an ending in mind, but the middle...is stumbling through the figurative wilderness haha. i'll generally have a rough outline, but it's still a lot of filling in. i was about halfway through Crimson and Steel before i finally had an outline for each individual chapter, but i've had the ending planned from day one

7. tell us about the plot of the first fanfic you ever wrote

i literally don't even remember, it was so long ago haha. i've been writing since i was in seventh grade filling in my little cringe notebooks, and daydreaming scenarios in my head long before that XD i think the first time i put pen to paper was star wars fanfic? it might have just been an "anakin lives" scenario i think lol

9. in an ideal world where you’re already super successful and published, would you want to see a tv or movie adaptation of your work? why or why not?

Yes! my mind is super visually-oriented, so i usually write chapters like they're episodes in a tv series anyway. if Crimson and Steel were to be adapted somehow, i think i'd like it to be animated (and the format of it works better as a tv show)

11. what’s something neat you’ve learned while doing research for something you were writing? also, how much do you worry about doing research in general?

i learned a lot about the New York irrigation system writing the Lizard chapters of Crimson and Steel XD like where the city gets most of its water and stuff. and it depends; i don't want to make a glaring error, but if i'm getting too frustrated then i remind myself that i never fact check fanfics i read anyway, so most people probably don't care. if it stops being fun, that's when to stop

12. do you ever have trouble focusing on writing? how do you get around that? 

sometimes. in my view, unless you're a professional writer, you're not on a schedule and this should be fun, so don't force it. if i don't strain myself, i usually get around to thinking about my fic anyway haha

13. talk about a writing experience that has pleasantly surprised you.

i love hearing my readers' theories! it's always pleasantly surprising to hear what they think will happen, even if it's off, and i've even occasionally been inspired by them. i love when a reader will point something out that maybe even i missed

17. what is your favorite line you've ever written?

this one hasn't been published (but i do have a WIP with it), but i still wake up in a cold sweat thinking about it: "Never think you are worth any less than all I have to give you and everything I stand to lose."

23. how do you deal with writer's block?

don't sweat it. take care of your body and mind, primarily, and the ideas will start flowing again eventually. reading fic, even if it's not in the same fandom, can also spark an idea.

40. best piece of feedback you've ever gotten.

i get told my character interactions/dialogue are decent, so that's always nice. but someone told me my fic was a blessing, and i still think about that comment :')

51. share the synopsis of a story you're working on that you haven’t published yet

oohhh...i have so many WIPs lol but i'll share a little about the third part of the 'Here to Stay' trilogy since a lot of people have been asking me about it. it sees all the characters from across the universes reunited, but there's a cosmic threat (if you read the comics you might know who) that wants the power too. shenanigans ensue

73. how do you visualize scenes? do you see it like a movie in your head, or do the words just flow?

kind of both? i visualize the scene like a movie in my head AS the words flow. it's hard to describe, i'm not that good of a writer haha

1. Gosh, I have so many, I’m crazy indecisive, and anything else would be way too long to share, so here are some of my favorite scenes from season 1:

3. Unfortunately, Emperor Awesome, since he has the most screen time of all the reoccurring characters, so I actually remember him more than I do anyone else. That, and I genuinely love a lot of his scenes; he gets beat tf up in so many of them AND IT’S ALWAYS HILARIOUS TO SEE. The WOY crew are comedic geniuses and the stuff they do with him is no exception.

4. 1) The way Lord Dominator’s masked lines were handled was like this: Noël Wells would come in first and get the performance they wanted, and then Fred Tatasciore would come in and dub over her lines to match the nuances of her reads. That’s why it never stops sounding like her whenever Dominator has her mask down and Fred’s voicing her lines! He’s said that “it’s really fun matching her word for word when [he’s] doing Lord Dominator’s voice.” 2) Lord Dominator is just as excitable, if not even more so, than Wander is, (but about doing evil). 3) The line, “Oh it’s thrillin’ to be a villain” in I’m the Bad Guy was originally, “Oh it’s thrilling to do a killing” ♫

Okay I’m unsure about whether you meant if the series was good.... or the fandom? As in the community? So I’m just gonna talk about both.

Jujutsu Kaisen (JJK)

Currently I’m hella into jujutsu kaisen. I recommend you to both watch it and read it! The characters are so much fun!

The manga is not as much as the fun as it is blindly agonising because heck there’s a lot of angst that hits you but it’s really good. Painful but good.

The anime’s animation blows you away, along with its opening and ending! I’d rec you to watch that first if you want to get into this series.

For the series: It’s really, really funny and has epic moments and characters. It’s so enjoyable! The world, though, is a bit hard to understand at first. There’s still a lot, lol, that I don’t get. But yeah, would rec this so very much.

The fandom is really fun, and good to enjoy — active and hilarious and have so much good and amazing content! I’m mostly in orvcord — the eng orv discord which are so fun and I enjoy v much! It’s not really active here on tumblr, though but on twt.

Omniscient Reader���s Viewpoint (ORV)

The omniscient reader fandom is really, really fun as well. There’s a webnovel and webtoon. The webtoon is going and I enjoyed both! I read the webtoon and was like. Okay, I can’t just stop there. The fandom is hilarious as heck. The characters are so, so lovable. My fav is on my icon — Jung Heewon. She’s just so <3333

I love this one so much because it resonates with me. It’s talks about readers, and stories and just — blows my mind every time??? The characters are so fun, as well. I feel like I mentioned that before, but anyways. It’s a slow start and gets a bit confusing — with me — at times with the world but I remember the first time I picked it up. I wasn’t feeling optimistic because this type of webtoons well... they are pretty much all the same and not my type but holy heck. I read that first chapter and I can recall my excitement and just. How it completely blew me away.

It’s about this guy, Kim Dokja who had been reading this novel for ten years and how it’s brought to life. It keeps you interested by how we never know the “ending” of the original story but Kim dokja does, and also the dynamic between him and the protagonist of the original story, Yoo Joonghyuk which is so good.

Mob psycho 100 (MP100)

Also — thinking about another fandom I posted recently. Mob psycho 100. Oh my god, okay so. I would rec this one so, so so much. It’s not even long! It has two seasons animated and holy heck. It’s so good??? So beyond good???? I can not stress that enough. The mangaka does fantastic character arcs and characters and just. It feels so real and so good. Also: the animation is out of this world. It’s so enjoyable and so so fun. I love it so much.

Okay, so. Possibly this might be the series that I enjoy the most. The artstyle might be hard to get to at first but ITS ALL HECKING WORTH IT. I have so much love stored in me for this series. It’s just. Wow.

Also: the brothers in this one tug at my heartstrings very much. They are so. Good. God, I love them so much. I have a grantee that you’ll love them. Well. Hopefully. Since you like Elrics.

It’s about Kageyama Shigeo who’s like has insanely god-like psychic powers and how he just wants to be popular and for the girl he likes to like him back. Okay, I know that sounds.... not interesting but I promise it is! It’s a really funny show and heck, just???? really puts out a nice message??? and tells it so well.

The fandom is a bit dead, though. I mean. I know there’s a lot of people out there but it hasn’t been really active? Though with the recent promise of a season three it has like SHOT UP.

I think I would rec this series firstly out of all of the ones I mentioned here and so much. It’s so fantastic!!!

Tokyo ghoul

I also reblogged stuff from this show. I mean. I do like it. Like love it a lot..... but this one gets a bit muddy??? Like. I feel its a hit-and-miss with this one. I would recommend the manga more than the anime because wow, it misses a lot of stuff and has basically.... a completely different storyline. But! The animation is really good, along with that first OP (insanely good).

The fandom is... pretty much dead, lol ‘cept me & my other two friends. Okay, lol, I do know they are definitely more people but — just not as active?

I would like half-rec this one. It’s not.... urghhh I’m just bad at explaining this. I do love it! It’s just. Idk????????? I would say to go and try it out! warnings: people eating monsters, it’s pretty gory, cabalism, torture, there is a lot of sucidal ideation and depression in here and also abuse and child abuse

I’m really not good with giving out warning for it, so I’d suggest looking up that before going in.

Ao no exorcist also called blue exorcist (aoex)

I’m not really in this fandom, right now but I wholeheartedly enjoy it very much. The characters are so lovable and so good. The series is FANTASTIC as well. It has both an anime and a manga. The anime is good but — highly verges off the manga at one point. I didn’t even know this, lol.

The anime’s....plot after the divergence is just. pretty bad. I mean. I did like some parts of it and did enjoy but didn’t know what the heck I was missing until I realised that it was all filler. The character arcs are so so much better — especially, Yukio’s. The manga is still on going and heck, must I say ITS SO GOOD.

I especially love the second season – that follows off from ep 18 ??? I think of the first season and is my fav arc so far in the whole series. The plot is so good! The characters so good! The artstyle so good! I just love it all around.

The fandom is small but pretty active (??). I gained many good friends from it <3333

So yeah, I would rec this one indefinitely.

Gintama Ask Game!

Last time you watched / read Gintama? Well... I’d say the beginning of October? I had to reread the manga from scratch to write my Gintoki Bday Bash fic! :) 

Favorite male character? TOUUUUSHIIIIIIII~! Love of my LIFE!!!!!

Favorite female character? Kagura! MY DAUGHTER. 

Favorite male character design? I’m stuck between ponytail Toushi and joui war Zura....it’s too hard to choose???? (also lol you can probably tell I have a type)...also like, Farewell, Shinsengumi arc Zura when they dressed up as Naraku, THE PONYTAIL YES IT’S THE PONYTAIL OK. Also honorary mention to Kamui. 

Favorite female character design? THIS IS REALLY HARD?? I adore Tsukuyo’s design, but Kouka’s like...the most beautiful female character I’ve ever seen in the history of anime? Also Asaemon’s really really cool? I DON’T KNOW????? 

Most underrated character? Are these questions gonna keep getting harder???? So the thing is, I’m not really sure I understand the question right so I’m just gonna. Well, ramble lol. If we’re talking about THE most underrated character in canon, then the answer is BY FAR Zura! He should’ve had much more spotlight than what he got. But if the question is who’s most underrated in the fandom, then well...I’d probably say Shimaru? 

Best squad? SHINSENGUMI!!!!! <333333 

Favorite episode or arc? Episode: idk if it’s my “favorite” but I don’t think I watched anything else in Gintama as much as episode 231, the funeral episode. I watched it no less than 20 times (seriously) and it never gets any less hilarious and I really wanna know what Sorachi was on when he wrote it???

Arc: Farewell, Shinsengumi arc. Hands down best arc in the history of anime, no exaggeration.

BROTP(s)? I’m glad there’s an “(s)” because I was never gonna choose one lol. Okay so: Kondou/Zura, Kagura/Shinpachi, Kondou/Toushi, Gintoki/Zura. I’m sure if I reread my answer tomorrow I’ll be able to name at least 5 more BROTPs that I should’ve mentioned. :) 

An unpopular opinion?  I don’t really know how popular of an opinion it is, but I have some...issues with how much of a spotlight Takasugi was given in the final arc compared to just about every other character in the show sans Gintoki. The arc felt too heavily focused on Takasugi and Gintoki with everyone else playing minor roles. 

Favorite running joke? HOW DO YOU CHOOSE ONE JOKE??? Here’s a few: all variations of “zura ja nai katsura da!”, Shinpachi being a human-wearing glasses, “SHOGUN KAYO!!!!!” and, well, it’s probably not a “running” joke, but that episode of “no, it’s poop” had me screaming. 

Favorite OST? Know, Know, Know I think? It really fits the dark and badass mood of Farewell, Shinsengumi arc so well! 

Feelings about the upcoming movie? DON’T TOUCH ME. I’m emotional, I’m happy because the trailer shows VERY PROMISING AND BREATHTAKINGLY GORGEOUS ANIMATION, and it’s been so long and I miss Gintama and can’t wait to see it, but also I don’t wanna see it because that’s really the end and Gintama SHOULD LIVE FOREVER??? It’s breaking my heart thinking about it really ending??? MIXED FEELINGS ALL OVER!!!! :’)  SO! Thank you so much @whoyoucallingtoshi for tagging me! SO SORRY it took me 34263 years to do this! a breakdown on the mermaid melody kingdoms pt. 1!

an anon asked me to make this post so here we are! i’m going to go pretty much in order from what we see in the show, so of course i’m going to start with the kingdom we see the most of: the north pacific, lucia’s kingdom! more under the cut!

the first look we get at the north pacific is in episode one, of course! we see lucia’s getting ready to leave for the surface and we get some super cool opening shots and a look at what pink mermaids look like!

the first thing i noticed, of course, is that the north pacific palace looks very much like the taj mahal! including the little towers, the dome, and the big walkway! im pretty sure the north pacific palace is pretty much almost entirely based off it, tbh!

this is the main shot of the palace! its so pretty! its really interesting to me because all of the little details we get to see- plenty of windows to see the sea from inside, the colors range from yellow to purple and of course, to pink! the palace is huuuge of course because you have to fit in the hundreds or even thousands of pink mermaids that live in the palace and make space for all of the sea animals that live in there too!

 there’s a lot of typical mermaid imagery throughout the palace and its gorgeous! pearls, clamshells, etc etc its beautiful! lucia’s palace gets a lot of special attention because 1. its one of the only castles that doesn't get wrecked 2. lucia’s the main character 3. the coming of age ceremony episodes! i love it, and i especially love the pink coral lining the walkway? (swimway?) the entrance to the palace!

a headcanon i have for the north pacific is that they have a lot of like lore about how the yellow mermaids were their ? hmm kind of predecessor? i thought it was really interesting how even though the exterior of the palace is pink and they are the north pacific pink mermaids, of course, but the interior is mostly yellow and purple-pink? anyways so that's my little headcanon on that lol

its Crazy how many columns there are in this palace shfgd i was like???? but you know what, i think that this shot in particular makes the room look a lot smaller, but that room is actually a lot bigger than it seems! also is there a pool? in the back there? but anyways you can actually see this crazy amount of columns in the taj mahal too!

 anyways those columns are actually different types of columns in different parts of the palace- ionic, doric, greek corinthian, etc! and theres a few shots where you can see some columns have really detailed carvings in them, but they’re hard to make out, unfortunately! 

 also this is super cool and i just realized it but we have a little shot of the fountain of promise in episode 1 in the very beginning! if you don’t remember this is the same fountain that we see lucia dsgd passed out near when gaito attacks the north pacific!

a million pearl designs of course!!

we also see that the palace has a lot of pretty arches and arched doorways around the whole palace! whiiiich surprise surprise we see this in the taj mahal too!

another thing i wanted to discuss while we’re here- the north pacific mermaids! as far as we can see the mermaids are pretty much color coded, but lucia’s kingdom has a wild variety in coloring! and by that i mean that lucia’s blonde despite being the pink mermaid princess, and the mermaids around the palace range from brown to purple to a million different haircolors!

in this picture alone we can see the diversity is crazy! buuut we also see that the outlines of these girls tails are actually colored differently! the main tail is pink but the little outlines at their hips are yellow, green, and indigo respectively! so my little headcanon for that is that these girls might actually be mixed! 

its interesting to think about because really, the mermaid princesses have much richer and purer (?) coloring than the other mermaids, in that hanon is bright aqua, rina is green, noel is indigo etc but lucia’s mermaids stray from the palette entirely! but to be fair, so does lucia! she’s the only one of the girls whose hair color doesn't match their tail almost exactly !

(side note: nikora should definitely not be from the north pacific kingdom, but she calls it home? her tail is purple! whats going on there sgfds)

when it comes to the palace, we get random shots of different rooms throughout the coming of age episode! 

this is the room lucia gets ready in, kind of preparation chambers i guess? theres a million columns in the room of course, and you can see fake archways carved into the wall! the main door has a clamshell carved into the very middle and its wonderful because you can kind of see a little nod to the girls powers there- the clamshell has carvings projecting outwards and at the end of the lines are a bright circle that looks like a pearl! <333

 the little chair has clamshells on it too! <333333 i love that the palace has chairs and stairs and stuff that they don't really need dgsfgds 

who are these stairs for? it really perplexes me truly shdgshsgdhs technically speaking, this would make more sense as a sort of ramp? instead of stairs, and it would actually be pretty that way too! 

theeen theres this little hmm idk divination room? where taki talks to hanon and rina about lucia’s ceremony, which is pretty cool! seeing as they have chairs and tables and stuff, i’m guessing there’s some sort of ? magic artificial gravity that keeps things tied down while simultaneously allowing the girls to swim wherever they want in the room, because we see lucia does that whole dramatic swimming to the ceiling when kaito shows up sdgs 

this is the room we see momo bring kaito in through! this room haunts me sgh momo goes through the glass and it leads from the palace to the ocean of course, and its interesting because the palace is underwater and the girls swim through the palace with no problem, but gaito breaking the walls of the palace makes a bunch of water start rushing into the castle! which is weird because i assumed there was water In the palace already but sgdsf mermaid magic! 

one thing i did notice in this room is of course the cool columns and the shots of kelp? or some kind of seaweed that we see there! and the way that the room has tiered stairs that we can see from above, too!

nice! another thing i noticed in this room is that theres a huge clam shell there that makes me suspicious because i’m not entirely sure what it is- basically, there are two options in my head! this is either the throne (lounging?) room, or, and this is less likely, this is where lucia was born!

my rationale is basically that this room is actually really similar to a room we see from rina’s kingdom! we see her chilling here during her flashback in the episode where we see the emerald that was taken from her kingdom! 

this includes the tiered little steps, the big windows with the shots of the kelp out there, the clamshell chair with the cushion, and the pretty columns! i think this option is the most likely option, and it would make sense because momo, if he wanted to bring kaito to lucia, would bring him to her throne room!

oh i just realized- theres a shot of a room like this in caren’ s kingdom too!

buuut since the shots we get of the little one at lucia’s palace are kind of blurry and small i also considered the possibility that this might be where lucia was born! and the reason why is because during pure, we get a little shot of where seira is born (almost sfdgs) and it’s a little clam shell! 

of course the indian palace has been destroyed, so we don’t get to see what it looked like in its original glory! buuut the room has a bunch of columns and i thought it might be close enough, but summarizing this all for you now, ive pretty much convinced myself that the shell in that room in lucia’s palace is a little throne! its super cute i love that its a huge clam shell <3333 also the kingdoms have matching rooms! fun!!

and finally, this should be the last room they’ve shown us:

this huge room where lucia sings legend of mermaid to get kaito back on the surface (also can we talk about how she has that power? im guessing that was a little sneak peak of what she might be able to do as aqua regina since that's the first time they mention that, but i was like??? so you can do that??) and its super cool! we don't get to see much besides the doorway and where lucia’s sitting, but we do know that the acoustics in here are amazing! sghdgsh

to be honest i think that the other girls kingdoms would have gotten this same level of depth and detail if they had been given the opportunity, but since the show never focused on their kingdoms for too long, we didn’t get to see it!

anyways that's my little summary post on the north pacific kingdom! i know it was super long and props to you if you made it this far, i’m going to post the next kingdom soon! it’ll probably be the north atlantic since we get to see that kingdom the most after this one, i think! thank you for reading!<3333

The One Where The Reader Finds Out

A/N: Sooooo sorry this took so long to post but it’s finally done! I was actually kinda struggling with this request a bit bc I couldn’t see Jack as a pinning type of guy (he’s just so frickin smooth and handsome how come ppl aren’t throwing themselves at him??) but this was actually really fun to write once i got stuff in order. It’s kinda modeled after this episode of Friends (The One Where Ross Finds Out) so you’ll see some similarities if you’ve seen the show. This is my first ever Jack Traven imagine so i really hope i got his character right or at the very least you guys kinda enjoy it. Feedback is always appreciated but now I leave you to it! <3333

Jack Traven can be described as many things. His fellow colleagues at the LAPD often use words such as reckless, bold, and dauntless to describe their fellow comrade. His close friend and supervisor Harry would call him straight up crazy but also very intuitive and clever. As for you, his best friend, you would say that Jack Traven is nothing short of compassionate, valiant, and brilliant. For the most part, all of these descriptions of Jack do not fall short of his actual disposition. But what would best describe him in his current situation is painfully conscious of how painfully oblivious he has been. 

It has been nearly two months since Jack had the brilliant idea to go on a double date with you, your current boyfriend Ian, and his then girlfriend Scarlett. Although you weren’t initially too fond of the idea he meant no harm by it. All he wanted to do was meet the new man in your life and judge if he was good enough to be with his best friend. His vigilant nature is something you’ve always admired about him and it is because of this that you agreed to the double date.

“So,” Ian turned forward in his seat to face Jack now that you and Scarlett have excused yourselves to the ladies' room, “you’re the infamous Jack Traven, (Y/N)’s mentioned you a lot and to be honest, I was a little intimidated by you.”

“Don’t sweat it, man, (Y/N) likes you a lot, I can tell.”

“I sure hope so,” he sheepishly smiled. “So you two are childhood friends?”

“Yeah, I’ve known her for most of my life. We met when we were kids through mutual friends, we lost touch after high school but reconnected when I joined the force a few years ago and found her in the forensics team.”

“And the bond has been restrengthening ever since, huh?”

“Yes it definitely has,” Jack chuckled briefly before taking on a more serious demeanor. “Listen, Ian, (Y/N) is really important to me. She is an amazing, smart, beautiful, and extremely down to earth woman who doesn’t deserve to have her heart broken.”

“Don’t worry Jack, I know I’d be a fool to not recognize (Y/N)’s worth. I know we haven’t been together for long but I really care for her.”

“I’m glad to hear it. It would be a real shame if I have to kick your ass,” he joked. 

He remembers laughing and even toasting in your honor with Ian that night shortly after that conversation. He remembers the great food, good service, and the exuberant vibes of the restaurant. For the most part, everything was going great that night. Then he saw Ian wrap an arm around your shoulder, effectively bringing you in closer to him, and stirring feelings of unease deep within Jack. At that moment, Jack mentally reasoned with himself that he was simply being protective of you. However, he wasn’t able to conjure another sound explanation for why he’d feel a tug at his heart strings whenever he’d catch you smile at Ian or interlock your hands with his. 

Jack rubs at his temples, recalling the night of your double date and mentally kicking himself for not reacting to his own signs sooner. 

“Sir,” the waiter calls out to Jack, pulling him out of his reverie. “Are you ready to order or would you prefer to give your party some more time to arrive?”

Jack pensively casts his eyes on the empty seat opposite of him, a seat reserved for an already late blind date Harry had arranged for him due to being tired of seeing Jack “all mopey and sad about (Y/N).” 

“Y’know,” he sucks at his teeth, “if I’m gonna eat alone tonight I’m gonna do it right. I’ll have the steak with steamed potatoes, a side of mac and cheese, and a beer. You guys have that here right?” 

“Yes we do, sir. Which one would you like?”

“Surprise me,” Jack hands his menu to the waiter and the waiter disappears into the kitchen to post the order.

A moment later, the waiter returns with a beer for Jack and he wastes no time in opening it and gulping it down. He stares at the empty seat in front of him and continues to ponder on you and the rather disheartening news you had given him earlier in the week. 

“He asked you to go on a vacation with him?” 

“Yeah!” you beamed. 

“A vacation,” he repeated in feigned joy. “Together… with Ian?”

“Yes, Jack,” you laughed. “For about a week I believe.”

“And only after two months together…. Wow…. Things are getting pretty serious between you guys, huh?”

“Well, two and a half months now and I guess so,” you shrugged. “I mean, I really like him. He’s one of the sweetest guys I’ve ever met, after you of course. Plus, I’ve been feeling really stressed out with things lately so a few days off and being in different setting just might be what I need right now.”

Jack motions to the waiter for another beer and the waiter readily complies. Once again Jack downs the drink as quickly as he received it in an attempt to drown his sorrows and his longing to be with you.

Moments later a slender, short-haired brunette donning a chic black dress hurriedly enters the restaurant. 

“Good evening, ma’am,” says the hostess, stopping the mysterious brunette before she can venture too far, “can I help you?”

“Yes, Hi. I’m really late for a date,” she replies, her eyes surveying the restaurant for her date, “he’s probably- Oh! He’s over there!” 

The waiter is handing Jack another beer and taking the empty bottle to discard it when the brunette approaches his table and introduces herself. 

“Hi, you’re Jack right?”

“Yeah,” he looks up at her in question.”Are you Annie?”

“Yeah I am and really late, sorry about that but my bus caught some traffic on the highway.”

“It’s no problem,” Jack rises from his seat and quickly straightens out his brown suit jacket before shaking her hand and pulling out her chair in which she gladly sits on. 

Jack signals for the waiter and he promptly returns with a menu for Annie and waits patiently for her to order. Since Jack already finished his second beer he requested a bottle of wine for him and Annie and once the waiter exits their date resumes. 

“So Harry tells me you’re in the force with him,” Annie starts.

“Yes, I am. What else did he tell you?”

“Don’t worry, it was all the good stuff,” she smiles and Jack gives her a small smile back.

“In that case, he probably didn’t have a lot to say,” he jests.

“Don’t sell yourself too short now, it was enough to get me to come here.”

“Well, since you know about me, why don’t you tell me about yourself?”

Annie starts to go on about her interests, her job, how her day went, and her connection to Harry and his wife, Patty. Her connection to Harry and Patty is actually a pretty good story. Too bad Jack is too zoned out to pay attention to it. Annie is by no doubt charming and attractive but Jack can’t help his thoughts and attention from shifting back to you and Ian. 

I’m not just jealous. How can you go on a vacation with someone you’ve only known for like two months?

But how can an idiot like me not have notice he’s in love with his best friend?

Time passes and the waiter stops by to collect their now empty plates. Jack nods every now and then and has been downing cups of wine quicker than he can notice. However, Annie does.

“Um, are you okay?” she questions.

“Hmm what? Yeah, why?”

“Oh, I don’t know, you just seem a little-” 

Jack’s cup makes a loud clinking sound with the now empty wine bottle as he attempts to pour himself every last drop of the bottle before haphazardly tossing it into the ice bucket and chugging his cup of wine. 

“Jack,” Annie calls for his attention. 

His drunken eyes shoot up in question before releasing a tired sigh, finally recognizing what he’s doing.

“I’m sorry. I’m not normally like this on dates, or in life, I don’t even drink wine like that. You’re great, you’re beautiful, it’s not you,” he rambles.

“What is it then?”

“It’s me-– well, it’s this friend of mine.”

Annie, knowing exactly where this conversation is heading, props her elbow on the table and rests her head on her hand.

“Does this friend happen to be an ex-girlfriend by any chance?”

“Not exactly,” he looks down. “She’s my best friend. We’ve been friends since we were kids so we’re really close. She’s always been the one person I know I could trust indefinitely and she’s always been there for me, she just… she means so much to me.”

“Oh, I see, and what’s the issue with this best friend?”

“She’s going on a vacation with her boyfriend.”

“Wow, no, yeah, that seems,” she furrows her brows in confusion, “awful?”

“I mean they just started going out,” he motions with his hands. “Would you go on a vacation with a guy you knew for only, like, two months?”

“No, not really–”

“Exactly! He exclaims. “Why do they even have to go on a vacation? Why can’t they just go on another date or just hang out, something less serious than a vacation, why not go out to dinner or something, do one of those… what are they called? What are they called? What are they called?” he snaps his fingers, trying to think of the word he wants to say and not realizing he just said it.

“Uh, a date?”

“Yes!” he exclaims again. “Man, you’re so smart.” 

“Yeah,” she flatly says. “Listen, you clearly have feelings for this friend of yours. Why don’t you just, I don’t know, tell her how you feel?”

“It’s too late for that,” he slumps in his chair. “(Y/N) has a boyfriend now and I’m just an idiot who didn’t know about his feelings soon enough. And she’s happy, she looks happy. It’s not right of me to ruin her happiness just because I want to be with her. I just wish I could get over her, why can’t I get over her?”

Annie huffs and her bangs gently fly up. 

“Look, Jack, I’ve been where you’re at. You’ll get over her. You just feel like this now because you haven’t gotten any closure–”

“Closure!” he enthusiastically points at her. “That’s it! I need that! How do I get that?” 

“Well, there’s no one way to it. Really it’s just whatever it takes so that you can finally say ‘I’m over you.’”

“I’m over you,” he repeats and motions with his hands. “That simple.”

Jack begins to look around his surroundings and an idea strikes him when he sees a man behind him talking on his cellular phone. 

“Excuse me, sir,” he calls for the stranger’s attention but when that doesn’t work he scoots his seat closer to the man, nearly falling off from it, and continues to call for his attention until he finally turns around.

“Hold on a second,” the man says into his phone before directing his attention to Jack. “What?”

“Hi sir,” he slurs, “can I please borrow your phone? It’ll only be a minute.”

‘“I don’t know if you noticed but I’m currently using it”

“I don’t know if you’ve noticed but you’re in the middle of having dinner with a pretty lady and you being on your phone right now is rude.”

After bickering with the stranger for a few minutes, and being quite unsuccessful in getting him to give him his phone, Jack grunts in frustration and begins to search for his badge. 

“Look I didn’t wanna do this but,” he flashes his badge to the now startled stranger, “LAPD, sir, I'm gonna need you to surrender your phone to me right now, I don’t wanna have to call for backup.”

“Oh my god,” Annie murmurs under her breath, rubbing at her temples with her hands.

As expected, the man finally yields his phone to Jack and he quickly thanks him for it before turning back to Annie in his seat and dialing your number. His eyes are squinted and he messes up the first two times when marking your number but he finally gets it right the third time. He gets your answering machine and patiently waits to leave you a message. 

“Hey (Y/N), it’s Jack. Just calling to let you know that I’m good. Everything is all good now. I’m really happy for you and Ian and the sudden vacation you’re both gonna go on. Feel free to bring me a keychain from wherever you go because I’m over you. That’s right. I am over you. And that, my darling (Y/N), is what we call closure.”

Jack lazily holds the phone above the ice bucket before dropping it in and leaning back in his chair and Annie immediately calls the waiter for the check.

The next day….. 

Jack is awakened by a pounding ache in his head and the sudden exposure to daylight makes him cringe in pain even more. He slowly rises from his bed, closes his curtains, and goes to his medicine cabinet in the bathroom to search for some aspirin. Upon finding the desired drug, he pops one into his mouth, turns on his bathroom sink, and uses his hand to cup the water to drink and swallow the pill. He takes a few more gulps, finding himself suddenly incredibly thirsty, before brushing his teeth and putting back the aspirin. It’s when he closes the medicine cabinet and sees his reflection in the mirror that he realizes he’s still dressed in last his clothes from last night which prompts an important question in his mind.

How did I get home? 

Jack cautiously opens part of his curtain and searches his neighborhood for his car. When he doesn’t find it he assumes his date called him a cab and is actually grateful she didn’t allow him to drive himself. 

His date. 

What was her name?... Andrea?... Or was it Anne?... Annie?

Immediately he begins to feel embarrassed for how foolish he must’ve acted last night. He already knows he’s gonna be getting an earful from Harry since he’s the one that set up the whole thing in hopes of helping John move on from you. Yet, it’s not like he didn’t want to try. 

Jack sluggishly makes his way towards his kitchen heading specifically towards his refrigerator for a hangover cure. Right as he’s opening the door to his fridge he hears someone knock on his door. He glances at his watch, noting that it’s only a little past eight thirty in the morning, and wonders who could be at his door so early. 

“Morning, sunshine,” you greet Jack when he opens the door.

“(Y/N)?” 

You give Jack a quick once-over.

“You’re dressed a bit formal for our breakfast plan but I’m digging the dapper look,” you make your way to enter his apartment and he quickly moves aside, letting you in and leading you to his kitchen.

“Breakfast plan?” he questions again.

“Yeah, we were supposed to get breakfast today, don't you remember?” Jack stays silent with a pensive look on his face and you have your answer. “From the look on your face I take that as a no. Oh, how did your date go last night?”

“How’d you know about that?”

“You told me about it,” you chuckle. “Jesus, how much did you drink last night, you seem pretty out of it.”

“I might’ve drunk a little bit past the average standard of too much.”

“Wow, was the date really going that bad?”

“I honestly can’t remember much but I know it was less than ideal and I know for a fact it was my fault.”

“Why do you say that?” you wonder and suddenly you find yourself being looked at rather oddly by Jack. “And why are you staring at me like that?” 

“I Just– I think I had a weird dream about you but I can’t remember.”

“Well that sounds fun. Maybe you can tell me about it over breakfast, if you’re still up for it?”

“Yeah, of course,” he nods. “Honestly food is just what I need right now. Just let me change,” Jack turns around and makes his way to his room but abruptly stops to turn towards you once more. “Did you and I speak on the phone last night by any chance?”

“No, I spent the night at Ian's. I actually haven't even had a chance to check my messages yet, mind if I use your phone?”

“Yeah sure, I’ll be out in a few,” Jack casually swats his hand in the air as an okay before retreating to his room.

You thank him as you move to retrieve his phone and dial your number and code to your answering machine. After about a minute you’re finally able to check your messages and smile in delight upon hearing Jack’s voice. 

“Jack, I got a message from you.”

Immediately Jack comes out of his room, wearing only a tank top and his dress pants from last night and a look of panic on his face. 

“You sound so wasted,” you giggle. 

“(Y/N), give me the phone,” he quickly makes his way over to you but you start to move away towards the living room.

“No way, I love listening to your drunken rambles,” with a secure grip on the phone you run to one side of the couch and Jack anxiously follows. 

“(Y/N), I need the phone, give me the phone, give me the phone now,” he pleads, anxiety clear as day in his voice.

Committed to retrieving the phone from you, Jack chases you in circles around the couch until he’s finally able to tackle you onto the couch and swat the phone away from you. However, by the look of pure shock on your face, he knows he’s too late.

“Shit,” he starts, rising from the couch and running a hand down his distressed face, “fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck!…” 

“You… you’re over me?” you slowly start to sit up on the couch. “When–when were you… under me?”

Jack continues to groan and pace the area, “You weren’t supposed to hear that.”

“I mean… it was only a message addressed to me. But… Jack… do you… are you … Jack,” you stand up and grab his arm, stopping his pacing and implore him to explain.

“Okay… okay fine,” he clears his throat. “So-uh basically, lately I realized I have-uh feelings for you…” 

“Oh...,” you slowly sit back down to process Jack’s confession and Jack joins you on the couch.

“(Y/N), please say something.”

“.... Pineapple.” 

“What?”

“You said say something and I can’t really think of anything to say at the moment.”

“Okay, that’s fair, this is all pretty sudden.”

“Ya think?” you scoff. 

“(Y/N), I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to do this or Ian. I didn’t mean for you to find out this way. Actually I didn’t mean for you to find out about this ever, I know Ian is a good guy and he makes you happy–”

“Yeah, he is a great guy and he does make me happy,” you say aloud, yet it’s more to yourself as you’re struggling to make sense of all this. “Oh god, Ian,” you rub your temples. “Why now, Jack? Why couldn’t you realize all this before?”

“I mean, what difference does it make now… unless…. do you?... (Y/N)....” 

You sit silently hug yourself. 

“(Y/N), do you have feelings for me?”

“Yes, Jack, I’ve had feelings for you for the past I don’t know how many years now,” you snap, standing from your seat and pacing back and forth. 

“Wait what?” now Jack stands from his seat and stops right in front of you accidentally causing you to collide with him and he instinctively holds you to steady you. “You–you’ve had feelings for me? Are they… are they over?”

“Are you over me?” 

You gaze into each others’ eyes, each searching for an answer to their question. You catch Jack look at your lips and you can’t help but look back to his. Before either of you know it you’re slowly leaning into each other until there’s nothing left between you and your lips finally meet. Jack’s arms immediately snake around, bringing you in closer as he kisses you hungrily. You kiss him with the same craving and hunger as this is what you’ve wanted for so long. Yet, after a few seconds you pull back breaking the kiss and turning away from him. 

“I’m sorry,” you turn once more to look at him before heading for the door, “I have to go… I just can’t right now, Jack.”

With that said, you exit his apartment and Jack slumps down onto his couch. He traces his lips with his fingertips recalling the taste and feel of yours lips on his before throwing his head back and sighing.

Later that day….. 

Jack enters his apartment with Harry following behind him. 

“You want a beer?” he asks Harry.

“Can’t.”

“What are you practicing sobriety all of a sudden?”

“Yeah, when the Nile runs dry.”

Jack laughs as he enters his kitchen and opens a beer for himself, Harry leans on a counter and Jack joins him to stand on the opposite side.

“I actually can’t right now. Patty and I have dinner plans in about an hour and I can’t be late or I’ll miss the earful she’s gonna give me for how drunk you were on your date with Annie and if I miss that it’s only gonna be worse when I get home.”

“Yeah, sorry about that. I really did want to try and move on but the entire night I couldn’t get (Y/N) out of my mind. I still haven’t talked to her since this morning ...” 

“(Y/N) just needs time, Jack,” Harry reaches over the counter and comfortingly pats Jack’s shoulder. 

“What if I lose her, Harry? And I mean completely. What if she doesn’t even want to keep me as a friend?” 

“That’s not gonna happen. No matter what she decides, you guys have been friends for years and I know (Y/N), she’s not just gonna throw all that down the drain. You guys will get through this.”

Harry glances at his watch and begins to straighten himself out to leave.

“I gotta go. You’ll be okay?” 

“I’ll find a way to be fro tonight,” Jack takes a few gulps of his beer. “Thanks again for taking me to bring my car back from the restaurant.”

“You can just pay me back a beer some other day. See you tomorrow, Jack.”

Harry exits Jack’s apartment and he’s about to go into his room until he hears a knock on his door. Thinking it’s Harry, he puts down his beer and goes to open the door.

“Rethought that beer did you– (Y/N)...,” he momentarily freezes.

“Hey, Jack, can I come in?”

“Yeah, of course,” Jack moves aside allowing you to walk in and you stand by his kitchen counter. “How are you?”

“Honestly? A lot better. And you?”

“At the moment I’m just really glad to see you. (Y/N), can we just forget what happened this morning?”

“Jack–”

“I don’t wanna lose you, (Y/N), I know you’re with Ian and I know things could probably get kinda weird because of what I said but I don’t want to not be with you in any way.”

You smile at his sincerity and your heart flutters within you as you say your next words. 

“I don’t want to not be with you either,” Jack grins in relief at your words. “And as for Ian, he really is a great guy… but he’s not you.”

Jack’s eyes light up at your words.

“You mean?...”

You nod.

“I broke up with Ian. It’s always been you, Jack.” 

Instantly Jack wraps his arms around you bringing you in for a tight, warm hug and briefly lifting you up. You happily giggle and hug him back, blushing when he pulls back to kiss your forehead. 

“You have no idea how happy you’ve just made me,” he kisses your forehead once more. “Aw man, poor Ian, though.” 

“Don’t worry, he’ll be fine. Now that I’ve had time to think about it we were moving kinda too fast with the vacation, he’s great but I did kinda just meet him.” 

“Well his loss is my gain and I am not letting you go,” he looks lovingly into your eyes before slowly leaning in and capturing you both in an ardent kiss. 

The first kiss of many that is to happen in your newfound relationship and the kiss that is to kickstart the new chapter in your lives together.

S1 Rewatch: Lena’s Take [1.03]

fully blew off homework to do this, let’s go!

fave scene: zay and charlie’s tutoring session, of course. as someone not opposed to getting “who needs oxygen” tattooed on her leg (kidding, kidding) it’s SO sweet to see their dynamic begin to unfold. when we can see charlie is having the time of his life with zay in schooling life…. charlie deeply admiring zay as a person and not being afraid to say so… zay helping charlie let loose… 🥺🥺 i love them lots and have lots to say about them at all times. season 2 best be good to them.

favourite performance: MISS RILEY MATTHEWS. ROSE’S TURN. such a refreshing change from her previous slow, sweet acoustic performances. we finally get to see her shine— and shine she does (lucas agrees). this is also a major turning point for riley— she’s finally, finally done being walked all over. go riles!!

favourite character this ep: our “perfect prince charming” (thanks zay) charlie gardner!!! ive changed my mind, he’s my fave ambition character. we finally get a glimpse of who he is as opposed to the charming, friendly, but sort of bland persona he shows others, and it is Wonderful. charlie is just as heartbreakingly insecure and cripplingly human as the rest of us deeply flawed individuals, and he really shines this episode (read: legally baby). yes, he’s not doing too hot, but he’s DOING. can we ask for more?

favourite line: “who taught you that having fun was trouble?” who taught you that it was okay to make me feel things? real questions. i reiterate: i Love they. honourable mention goes to dave and isadora’s endearingly exasperated exchange (“did you stick a fork in the toaster when you were little, or what?”)

underrated moment: eric and jack’s musical spat. this rewatch…. i love them more every ep. im gonna start a principal jack hunter fan club, and end of season eric is going to join. i love watching them slowly go from constantly at odds to closely working together and getting along to try and ensure the success of what they care about most— the kids! and well… if they fall in love what’s wrong with that?

something i missed the first time around: charlie is SO eager to tutor zay my god he really said LETS GO!! like let’s be real charlie’s been at least a little bit interested for a very long time. and he still has so far to go… his freak out is so much more significant now in the reread. (charlie: is it gay to tell ur friendly acquaintance that you deeply admire his ability to be himself at all times and that he’s so talented and exactly who he is? asking for a friend)

first impression vs reread: the zarlie content and the first friendly rl content really hit different now… they really enhance the experience of the reread. i think this ep is kind of underrated, even if it feels like not as much happens in it as opposed to, say, 1.02. it’s a really good ep, and we start to explore and develop more important dynamics (zay & charlie, riley & lucas, farkle & maya, isadora & riley) as well as receive more character insight (maya’s scholarship, farkle’s family, charlie’s insecurities) and it’s all so GOOD!

yes, mako knows haru well, but it's also true that he is good at reading people in general, not just haru. of course, haru is the person he can read most of all, but makoto can also read others.

wooooow that little part with haru taking off his swimcap and shaking his head as sparkling drops of water fall around him was one of the most magical moments of my life and i will cherish it forever.

i literally laughed out loud at the timing of haru (and rin) walking into the room. haru, you should have come in just a little bit earlier and then you would have heard what was just said about you that you weren't supposed to hear!! lol!!!

ummm okay, that's it. the episode's over... i am sad because that was a fun episode to watch. i really liked it, and that's because this episode had a lot of makoto in it, so of course i'm going to like that. XD and i just loved seeing makoto discover some of his own strengths. he even figured out his new dream at the end. he's just so special!!!! he is someone who has a positive impact on other people around him, and that is so clearly seen. it makes a lot of sense that he wants to be a trainer. he knows how to bring out the potential in others, because he can understand their feelings and figure out the best way to challenge them and encourage them.

oh, and... as of now, it is a real, true, canon fact that makoto is good at massages, which is yet another thing that makes him more perfect. <333333 this is really important to me. no seriously, this is something that matters to me a lot. this is like if the writers had thought, "hmm. what can we make makoto do that would be the #1 most amazing wonderful thing that sachi-pon would love???" it's like they read my mind and are trying to appeal specifically to me!!! ^___^ this is exactly what i would have thought of... uh... i mean... already thought of. okay, i thought about this a long time ago. >///////< but now this has gone beyond my fangirl fantasy and is a real thing that exists in the actual show. XDDDD hooray!!!!!! *waves pom-poms like a cheerleader* now all i need is a scene of makoto using his massage skills on you-know-who, and i'll be fine. ^__^

yes, i do have a problem with being too addicted to makoto. no, i do not intend to see a doctor. i intend to live with this problem forever. <3

wait... were there other people in this episode too? i forgot about everyone else besides makoto. uh, oh yeah. there was haru. he was so sad after the loss, but i think he's starting to feel better now, so that's good. i was getting worried when he wasn't texting makoto. =( don't do that anymore, haru!!! ;__;

also, there was rin, and later, makoto, finding out about sousuke's surgery. both of them had such excited reactions!!! and yes, rin, you cried, admit it!!! (haha) but yeah, it just shows how much those two care about sousuke. i loved those moments!!!

i am so happy for the big reunion in the next episode. i think it's going to be a little crazy, but definitely a lot of fun!! and of course, rin and haru's big showdown. who will win?!?!?!? also, what about the mysterious alien god????? how can anyone defeat him? the only way to defeat him is for haru to... TURN INTO A MERMAN!!!!!!!!!! (yes, i am still talking about merman throughout this whole season)

hey!! right!!! that boy is IN LOVE. AH thank u for asking i love talking about jake and amy i’m gonna put this under a cut though it’s probably gonna get a little long sorry 

TOP 1 would be the entire 1.13 but mostly the rooftop stakeout scene i would die for that episode and the way they laughed so freely on that roof and also how jake i’m in crushing debt peralta spent SO MUCH money on a date with amy that boy is in love and he doesn’t even know it. the other four in no particular order would be in the fugitive pt 1 when they were going through the miranda rights and jake just stopped and he looked so in LOVE. ALSO when their wedding plans were all ruined and jake was listing off all the places he would marry amy at and they were holding hands and it was super soft ): also obviously the proposal!!! the entire thing how jake was nervous and how amy was so worried it was just for the heist and jake reassuring her and amy saying yes and jakes sigh of relief WOW. lastly i’d prob have to say the entire johnny and dora ep bc they were so DUMB and they shared three kisses that’s the most we’ve ever got in an ep i love baby peraltiago ))):

the last episode i watched was chasing amy!! i think it was for a gifset edit but i loved when they had that talk on the rooftop!! it addressed legit issues but was still lighthearted and playful they’re such a great couple god DAMN

if i could be a character for a day i’d be jake def. who doesn’t want to be married to amy santiago??!!!!!

the b99 fandom is SO so nice and unproblematic tbh i just rly like how everyone’s chill and accepting and it’s never stressful
