[__] with a blind s/o!!
~Just a blind s/o drabble!~
FT: Diluc | Thoma | Jean |
Note: I was in school while making this, so sorry if it isn’t good! Also not proofread <3
~~~~~~~~~
Thoma: Even though your fully capable of taking care of yourself he just cant help but want to be by your side at all times, he always wants to help you even if you don’t need the help
Thoma thinks if he leaves you alone for to long you may get hurt, and if you get hurt he’ll blame himself. You’ve told him countless times it’s best if you get hurt so you know for next time, “but this world is such a scary place!” He says, he isn’t wrong and you know that, but if you let him take care of you all the time you wouldn’t have any basic fighting skills, which is something VERY crucial in a world like this
After telling him for the 10th time he finally complies, letting you take on the world, with his help still of cause but it’s better then being bed-bound.
Jean: Because of her busy schedule she can’t be around you 24/7, so instead she asked a guard to watch you around mondstadt, the guard won’t interfere with your life or anything, just there if your out collecting cecilia’s for your girlfriend and a random hillichurl tries attacking you, sometimes you genuinely forget the guard is there.
When she is around you however, she isn’t overprotective of you or anything, she treats you as normal, she knows your strong, but the thought of losing you because she couldn’t protect you is to much for her
Diluc: Would make the tavern very accessible for you, like putting braille on his drink menus an such, he wants to make the tavern a safe space for you as much as he can
Other then subtle things like that he won’t treat you differently then anyone else, he hates the thought of making you feel like you’re incapable of being strong without others
Even if he doesn’t help much he’ll do things like tell you when a steep step is approaching so you don’t fall even if you have a walking cane
Midnight Rain by Taylor Swift smells like a relationship between Ayaka and Thoma, with Thoma wanting to live comfortably with Ayaka and Ayaka wanting to feel the rush of a relationship. Thoma longed to spend the rest of his life happily with Ayaka, and Ayaka desired to make her own name so that the world would acknowledge her as herself and not as Yashiro Commissioner's little sister. Their relationship began to deteriorate swiftly as their ideals were too different.
— tugs at heart strings
PAIRING : thoma x ayaka
GENRE : fluff , mutual pinning , modern au
A/N : not proofread !! ayaka is slight ooc since i made her personality similar to my friend’s , short fic
Tumblr media
whenever thoma appears,
ayaka can’t seem to take her eyes off of him.
Tumblr media
ayaka’s classmate, thoma, was wearing a pilot uniform for their group project and it was too much for the poor girl.
a whisper sigh slips through ayaka’s mouth as she merely watches thoma in silence while they were practicing their rehearsal from afar with her classmates sitting at the same place she was at.
her friends were not there with her because they had to attend a subject that is not included on her schedule, which is why she’s on her own at the moment. she felt a bit awkward, and ayaka not wanting to interact with other people didn’t help.
the place was a bit quiet, all thanks to her classmates who were finally behaving properly as they were focused on the group that was on the stage. although she’s alone and does not have anyone accompanying her, she was glad enough to find a moment of quietness.
it’s not often to be able to find a moment of peace with her busy schedule inferring from time to time, there were already dark circles under her eyes that she couldn’t take care of since she still had a lot to do.
because of this, ayaka’s friends were concerned about her well-being so they always tried to help her with her duties. but of course, she turned down their offer kindly.
too lost in her thoughts, she failed to notice that the green eyed male already left the stage to go to the bathroom. ayaka gulped, being slightly embarrassed about the fact that she stared at him for too long that she wasn’t aware of her surroundings anymore.
it seemed like their practice was going to be paused for awhile because they were still waiting for thoma. she took this as an opportunity to talk with her older brother, ayato.
leaning forward a little bit from her seat to grab something from her pocket, she pulls out her phone. after unlocking it, she opens the app that she also uses to be able to chat with her friends and immediately started to tell him about her weird ‘feelings’ again about thoma.
she trusts her brother that she’s already comfortable enough about speaking this matter with him. and besides, ayato listens to her rant about thoma almost everyday.
her shoulders were tense as she types on her phone, feeling nervous.
brother, thoma looks even more attractive today.
oh, is that so?
yes. he’s just so hejfkkdn
ayato was flabbergasted at her reply. it was unusual for ayaka to do those weird typings.
ayaka wasn’t aware yet that her brother and thoma were friends. ayato didn’t even bother telling her as he guessed that she probably wouldn’t pay attention to that information that much, thinking that it was only a puppy crush.
however, the fact that ayaka was acting like this because of thoma made him feel a bit upset that his sister was indeed growing up. despite ayaka being an adult already, he couldn’t help but to the protectiveness consuming him.
thoma is a great guy and would be capable enough to protect his sister, but ayaka is still his younger sister!
do you finally admit on liking him, ayaka?
the word "like" is too strong. simply put, I only find him attractive
hmph. you should be careful around boys. you don’t know what’s going on inside of their heads.
brother! i really don’t like him that way!
i didn’t say anything about you liking him.
but that was what you were trying to imply, right?
hm
she swore that she could hear his chuckles through the text, making her huff in defeat and ended up closing her phone. ayaka places her phone back in her pocket. feeling flustered that her brother thought that she liked thoma.
ahh, this is so embarrassing. she thinks while covering her face with the palm of her hands.
“ayaka?” a soft voice calls out to her. “mister zhongli already gave us permission to go back to the classroom.”
looking up in shock, she was surprised to see that it was thoma that called her. “oh,” fumbling with her words, she straightens her posture. “my apologies. i was.. too distracted.”
the male chuckles in response at her nervous tone. he found her personality quite endearing which made him want to learn more about her. he wouldn’t force ayaka, of course! he would only do that if she was comfortable with it.
“it’s alright. i just came here to inform you so you wouldn’t miss classes.” her tense shoulders relax upon hearing his kind words. he’s such an angel.
thoma offers his right hand to the female with a bright smile, not wanting to make her feel uncomfortable around him. he just wants to assist her from standing up, there isn’t anything wrong with it, right?
thoma thought wrong. he watches in horror as ayaka only stared at his hand, not moving a single inch. with that, he starts to stumble on his words in nervousness and guilt.
“i-im sorry! i shouldn’t have done that, that was so inconsiderate of me, i’m sor—”
as he was about to retract his hand back to his side, the female in front of him grabs his hand embarrassingly fast, as if she was desperate to hold his hand. “ah.”
even ayaka was surprised by her own actions.
the two didn’t utter a single word. an awkward silence fell upon them after what just happened. both were too stunned to say anything to the other.
unfortunately, without them knowing, zhongli enters the auditorium to fetch them himself since they were taking too long. spotting them from a mile away, he walks faster, only to stop on walking abruptly as he saw the youngsters holding each other’s hand.
the flustered looks on their faces made him sigh tiredly. shaking his head, he says nothing. he chose to leave the two alone and walked back to his class alone with silent footsteps, not wanting to interrupt their ‘moment’.
back to thoma and ayaka.. the older one snapped back from reality when he felt the younger’s small hand shake slightly in anxiousness. his eyes soften, squeezing her hand gently. “shall we head back now?”
he attempted to change the topic to not make ayaka even more anxious. he wasn’t good for her heart. not trusting herself to say a word, she only nods in response as she stood up shakily, feeling her knees get weaker when she felt him squeeze her hand reassuringly again.
“oh!” thoma exclaims, raising both brows in surprise at the girl’s unsteady figure. “are you doing alright?” god, please give ayaka the strength.
“yes. i’m fine, thank you.” she smiles at him. trying to hide the fact that she was still panicking on the inside. how could she not? the boy in front of her is literally like a puppy wagging his tail. once the both of then recovered, they finally headed back to their classroom.
but before they could get to the room, they had to go a few steps down. thoma carefully places his warm hand on ayaka’s waist to guide her and to make sure that she wouldn’t fall.
“careful now.” has she already fallen for him?
——
they already arrived at the entrance of their room and thoma opens the door for ayaka, she enters while bowing her head slightly, muttering a low ‘thank you’ to the male.
“thoma and ayaka. would you mind explaining where the two of you have been?” zhongli questions them immediately when they sat on their seats. he already knew the answer to that since he saw the scene with his own eyes. he just wanted to test them for awhile.
zhongli was quite curious on what they would say. thoma spoke first and made an excuse that it was his fault that both of them were late. this shocked ayaka and she didn’t let this slide. she also tried to reason out but thoma just kept denying her statements politely and is still persistent about it being his fault.
once again, the teacher sighs. “i’ll let you both off the hook. don’t repeat it again.” the two students stopped reasoning and nods to his words. the brown haired male crosses his arms and continued his lesson.
the whole class that witnessed this snickered to themselves and muttered about thoma and ayaka looking like a married couple when they were arguing (affectionately). how cute.
a few moments later when ayaka was writing something on her paper, she felt someone staring at her. due to her curiosity, she lifts her head to look at the person who was staring and immediately locked gazes with thoma.
they were staring at each other for awhile that caused their faces to grow red. ayaka’s light blue eyes goes wide when thoma gives her a closed eye smile bashfully.
the soft; warm smile from the male tugged at her heart strings.
Waiting
Ayaka bounced uneasily on the heels of her shoes, peeking at the doorway to Komore Teahouse.
Waiting, patiently, for a head of blonde hair and those warm, gentle evergreen eyes to gaze upon her once more. To see his handsome face brighten up as he savors his regained freedom.
No longer under the threat of having his vision surrendered to the Shogunate.
Plus, she just knows he would be dying of boredom inside Komore Teahouse, antsy with nothing to do.
The sudden shift from doing odd jobs here and there aside from his housework in the Kamisato estate is probably eating him up from the inside. He's always been hovering around her and her brother, and to suddenly stop attending to them– well, she can only imagine.
Beside her, Sayu is already drifting off into dreamland, still standing upright as trained. Her head keeps bobbing off, tiny snores escaping her mouth.
She brought the little girl along, knowing Thoma would want to see her as well.
A soft spot, including his own interest in her learned art.
Ayaka manages a small, endeared smile to touch her lips. The maid following them is eyeing the Shuumatsuban ninja with curiousity and worry.
Oh, this wait is just making her anxious.
She's sure that Thoma had already been informed of the Vision Hunt Decree abolishment and if he had left earlier, the first place he would return to is their estate.
But waking up today and not seeing him greet her first thing in morning– let's just say it dampened her mood and a mild frown marred her features until her brother pointed it out with a knowing grin.
Her brother may be busy most of the time, and his appearances are few and far in-between, he still managed to be sharp enough to discover her carefully hidden secret. It didn't help that it was a well-known secret that Ayato likes to bully her retainer.
So, she needed to get to him before her brother does. Before her brother could say something.
The sight of the door swinging open drew her attention. She clasped her hands together, biting down on her lip as she wished for Thoma to exit faster.
His red jacket is the first thing she spots, followed by his entire body. His gaze trained downward, not catching a glimpse of her yet as he pushed open the door, hand still on the doorknob. He keeps his back to them, pushing the door close with his head bowed down and expression neutral.
Thoma looks up. Ayaka waves daintily, feeling the corners of her mouth lift up once more. It is always easy to be relaxed around Thoma.
Maybe it was because they haven't seen each other for some time. Her, having to keep up appearances so as to draw no suspicion, and Thoma, refusing her visits in order to protect their reputation.
Thoma is silent for some reason, gaze heavy with that fondness reserved for private moments that is meant only for them. Then he's striding forward, crossing the distance easily with big strides.
"Milady."
Ayaka sees him reach out for her hand, hesitating halfway before she takes the initiative and slips her hand into his comforting grip.
"I've missed you, Thoma." She says. Before he could say anything else. Ayaka cranes her neck to look up at him. Thoma's smile is bright and a little wobbly on the edges, yet retaining that adoration he holds for her.
"So, come home to me, to us."
Oh boy howdy.....hi Thomaya nation this is my one (1) short story on them that I wrote eons ago and I still like it; really stuck with me how upset she was when Thoma got taken and also just uh, I really wanted Thoma to get a big hug after the nightmare of almost dying in public, so here.
I've decided to call this one "Shielded." I hope you enjoy.
"Thoma! THOMA!"
The blond raised his eyebrows in acknowledgement and then before he could react, Ayaka was barreling into him in an uncharacteristic display of raw, unbridled relief. "Oof," he grunted, hands raising up in surrender before they comfortably wrapped around her in an embrace. "Ah, hello my lady. I take it you missed me--" Ayaka's head whipped up so fast it nearly made HIM dizzy, and he was shocked to see tears streaming down her cheeks.
"Stop," she sobbed. "Please do not make light of this. You could've died," and his lips pressed into a somber line; the gravity of the situation beginning to set in. "I was so worried," she went on, words pouring from her lips like a river undammed. "When I heard about what was happening, I - there was nothing I could do, to save you, and knowing that, having my hands effectively tied, you, Thoma you mean so much to me and if I lost you I truly do not know what I'd do with myself."
Thoma, for once, did not know what to say. And yet he heard himself speaking anyway, somehow. "You would live without me. You could-"
"I CANNOT," Ayaka hollered, and he blinked in alarm as her arms wrapped ever tighter around his waist (her hands were shaky, he noticed). "I WILL NOT. A LIFE WITHOUT YOU IS A LIFE I DO NOT WANT."
"Ah, Ayaka, please... please don't cry," he pleaded, brushing away her tears with his thumbs, but new ones rushed to take their place.
"You've done so much, for the Shogun, for the people of Inazuma, for my family, for me. And yet, notwithstanding; she would make you a public example. As if you are nothing. Do you not understand, why I am so upset?! Our Archon cares not for us. I had hoped that...there was some semblance of love left in her heart, but I see now that I was a fool to think so."
"You're not--"
"I AM," she shouted, breathlessly, burying her face in his chest- perhaps the rhythm of his heartbeat was calming? He didn't know. "I don't know what to do anymore…."
"There is nothing to do but fight as we always have, Ayaka," he heard himself say. "Nothing will come of us giving up." His words are strong and sure and yet he feels anything but- he feels, like the ocean has clutched him in his deathly hold and carried him away, thrashing and flailing and helpless, helpless to the current.
I could've died. I was lucky.
"Thoma?" Ayaka called, but he did not answer, eyes hollow and yet filled to the brim with fear as he began to process what had almost just occurred.
Was it all in vain?
"Thoma!" Ayaka cupped his face with her hands, and he was jarred back to reality with a sharp breath. "Are you alright? You're trembling. . ." Ahh….that he was. He hadn't even realized it, but his hands were shaking like little leaves and he couldn't seem to get them to stop, so he gripped Ayaka's wrists for a sense of security. "I'm right here. I'm right here with you. I'm not going anywhere."
"I have to, though," he whispered. "The Shogun is out for me, too. I can't afford to stay here, not now." Ayaka's eyes are so broken he wants to cry, but he holds firm to his stance. "It's like you said before, Ayaka. You can't protect me, even though you want nothing more. If they find me, they may drag me back to Raiden again, and next time; I highly doubt I'll be as lucky as I was."
Silence, only broken by Ayaka's quiet weeping.
"I'll come back. I promise. This will only be temporary," and she swallowed hard, nodding, then hesitated.
"Thoma. Before you go -"
"My lady?" Her eyes looked to his, and then his mouth, and he blinked slowly before realizing what she was asking for, and nodded in return, afraid to speak.
The next thing he knew, her lips pressed to his, chaste and grieving, and he melted into her hold; the looming catastrophe that was the Decree momentarily forgotten. "Please be safe," she breathed when he pulled away, and Thoma brushed her bangs out of her eyes.
"I will. I promise."
She watched him go with her hands clasped to her breast, until he was but a dot on the horizon; and began to pray for his safe return. Already, things felt so empty. . . hopefully, this would all be over sooner; rather than later.
2. Write a scene that includes mosquitos, hornets, or wasps.
"Blood suckers… gah get away!"
"Thoma, isn't that racism?"
"Against who?"
"Hmm… Ayaka and Ayato?"
"Uhhh…"
Yoimiya rolls her eyes, a sparkler in her hand. She dangles it over the pavement, the bright yellow spark snaking up in a slow warm glow. She swings it side to side, sitting on the sidewalk steps with Thoma.
He's holding a DS in his hands, piles of textbooks on his lap. Every so often he swats away a mosquito finding itself on his shoulder. He never hits them.
"'Miya, can't we just go inside? It's hot and these are annoying," the sound of pokemon battle music overtakes the crackling of the sparkler. Yoimiya shrugs, her sparkler almost finished. She watches it with far more interest than she does to Thoma, whose tail is jerking back and forth, whacking whatever mosquito is unlucky enough to get close. "You're usually not so annoyed, missing your boyfriend?"
Thoma flushes red, a glare on his face. Or, it would be menacing if not for the fact it came from Thoma and his face was far too cute and he far too nice to be seen as scary. Yoimiya sticks out her tongue when Thoma nudges her shoulder with his.
"No way, I'm his vassal and I couldn't pos-"
"Possibly like him cause your family's been under their command for decades, if not centuries?"
"Yeah and-"
"And his happiness and life are your priorities?"
"Yeah that but-"
"But you don't swing that way?"
Thoma pouts, his face only pinkish now. He looks away, his DS momentarily forgotten. Yoimiya rolls her eyes, again, nudging his shoulder.
"Please, it's the 21st century Thoma, vassalage and all that stuff doesn't matter anymore," Thoma tries opening his mouth, a retort on his lips. Yoimiya shuts him up, her hand closing his jaw. She sees a flash of sharp teeth before it disappears under his lips. "And you totally swing that way. Have you seen the way you look at him?"
"You're completely unreasonable Yoimiya, I don't look at him in any way,"
"Look at who what way?"
Thoma hiccups, turning so fast Yoimiya worries he's gotten whiplash. Behind them Ayaka and Ayato stand, their uniform hurriedly put on and eyes tired. For vampires, they look rather worn out.
"Oh, hi Aya!" Ayaka smiles at her, joining the two on the steps. She takes out her water bottle, her eyes trained on the still going sparkler in Yoimiya's hands. Yoimiya quite likes the amber glow that reflects from Ayaka's eyes. "How was kendo practice?"
Ayato sits on the opposite end, beside Thoma. He too takes out his water bottle. "It was mundane. Have you two been here the whole time?"
"No, we went out for ice cream and came back," Ayaka's eyes widen, her face panicked. "Oh, we're sorry for making you two wait. You could've gone ahead of us,"
Thoma shrugs, his face still pink. He's been quiet except for the music of his DS. Suddenly, he seems to be taken with it. Ayato nudges him, a teasing smile on his face. "What? No hello for your master?"
Ayato chuckles when Thoma stutters and turns red, apologies spilling from his lips. Ayaka frowns at her brother, but Yoimiya can only laugh quietly in her head. She's never seen flirting as obvious as this.
"I'm kidding Thoma, don't start calling me that now. Though, I wonder what you two were talking about when we came here. Who were you looking for?"
"Oh nothing, just me and Thoma-"
"We!... We were wondering… why you took so long! Yeah, you stayed longer than usual so we were thinking to go find you,"
Ayato chuckles, his blue eyes gleaming. Yoimiya had an inkling that Ayato already knows. Heck, she'd bet he feels the same way. She can only wonder why he doesn't confess yet.
"Oh, well as Ayaka apologized so will I. We had a meeting and I couldn't help but want to… help the president towards the right track,"
"No, you don't have to apologize my lord it's-"
"It's unacceptable to make a friend wait, so how about Ayaka and I treat the both of you to ice cream? I imagine what you had wasn't enough for this heat."
"I'll take you up on that," Yoimiya smiles, sending a knowing look to Thoma. His face is still red and embarrassed look there, but his ears are tall and his tail is wagging like there's no tomorrow. Ayaka only chuckles.
"Well? Let's go!" When Yoimiya stuffs the dead sparkler into her bag and grabs Ayaka's hand, she wonders if Thoma still thinks 'blood-suckers' are as bad as before.
A slap was heard before Thoma choked out in annoyed pain. She can see from the corner of her eye as Thoma's glaring at the mosquito buzzing around him.
Well, at least he thinks two of them aren't as bad.
Snow on the Hearth
— Paring: Thoma x Ayaka
— Tags: fluff, sweet, desserts, Inazuma, first snow, first kiss
— Summary: When the first snow of many years ago fell, Thoma tasted Ayaka's sakura mochi. She once said that affection was her special ingredient. Now it's Thoma's turn to let her taste the emotions of his heart.
— Word count: 1875
— Requested by Cherii
— Masterlist
-----------------------------------
Lady Kamisato Ayaka has been quite busy recently. It was the end of the year, her elder brother was away again, and the young lady was in charge of everything big and small in the house. Thoma would frequently catch her concealing her mouth from a lengthy yawn or dozing somewhere around the estate, despite her best efforts not to appear exhausted.
The temperature was dropping that day. Lady Ayaka remained in the library to plan ahead. Her meals were brought by Thoma. He was concerned that the young lady might become unwell if she persisted in this manner! She couldn't even finish the lunch he'd given her. Thoma settled on a hearty meal full of her favorite dishes for supper. Maybe if she was pleased, she'd eat more.
For most of the evening, the main dishes for the lady's dinner were completed. With just dessert remaining, Thoma was at a loss for what to do. Ayaka is a very delicate princess. The food must not only be attractive and delicious to delight the lady, but it must also have a specific meaning.
Then Thoma thought of one. It was Sakura Mochi, but in Kamisato Ayaka's style. It was the lady who created this dessert, using the special recipe only she knew. Thoma remembered the very first day he came to the estate, the lady had brought a plate of mochi in front of him.
“This… What is it?” Thoma questioned, puzzled. He had never seen a dish so exquisitely beautiful. The person who made this treat must have been just as gracious and clever.
“The name is Snow on the Hearth.”
Lady Ayaka spoke forward. She was younger then than she is today, but her manner was already mature.
"This is, in fact, Sakura Mochi. It's only slightly different since I used my secret recipe."
She continued and beamed, her eyes twinkling. She urged Thoma to quickly indulge and silently watched the expression on his face as he did so.
“D-Delicious!” said Thoma while his mouth was still full with mochi. The piece was smooth and fragrant with a sakura scent; the filling appeared to break in his mouth, like a snowflake at the start of the season melting in his hands.
Lady Ayaka's smile made the corners of her eyes curl. Thoma suddenly found himself a little impolite as he spoke while eating. He quickly apologized.
"Please pardon me, milady... I've never had anything as delicious as this in my whole life... so I..."
Thoma left his sentence incomplete. He didn't want to be ridiculed because of his background. Being able to serve at the Kamisato Estate for these two siblings in this time of need had been the greatest blessing of his life. And yet he dared to sit here and devour the mochi made by the lady herself.
But neither of the Kamisato siblings was haughty or dismissive of others. Thoma had heard from the estate's residents that they were gentle and compassionate toward even the servants and guards. That gave Thoma great comfort.
Seeing his stillness, Lady Ayaka said:
"There is no need to be formal. Oh, speaking of which, Mr. Thoma does know how to cook, right?"
Thoma gave a nod. "Yes. I'm also familiar with several Inazuma cuisine..."
"That's great!" Lady Ayaka clapped her hands joyfully. "When I have a chance, I'll show you how to make this."
Thoma was caught off guard. The lady prepared a meal for him and would even teach him how to make this dessert. Since arriving in Inazuma, and perhaps since he was born, the Kamisato siblings had been the ones who treated him best.
Seeing the look on his face as if he was about to cry, Ayaka added:
"From now on, this place is your home. My brother and I will be a part of your family too."
Thoma's eyes were welling up. He looked outdoors to escape the lady's gaze. It began to snow. The very first snow of the season. It was the first winter he truly knew warmth.
Lady Ayaka kept her words, and conscientiously showed him how to make her special mochi not long after. But no matter how hard Thoma tried, it never tasted the same as hers.
"Did you realize that each dish has a unique spice?"
"What is it, milady?"
"Affection." As her ivory hands clutched the mochi, Ayaka responded. "Every chef will have their own set of emotions and thoughts. The meal they prepare for each individual will be unique as well. When you taste the mochi I make, what do you think of it?"
Thoma felt a little embarrassed. What he thought of her mochi was also what he thought of her.
"Warm. And really unique. It's so delicate that a mortal like myself wouldn't dare to taste."
Ayaka turned to face Thoma. She appeared astonished.
"So it is. Nonetheless, you ate it all."
The young lady quietly chuckled. She covered her face with her hands, causing the dough to adhere to her cheekbones unwittingly. Thoma felt compelled to reach out and touch it.
"Yes... Now I'm sad I didn't keep one for myself since I was so hungry."
Ayaka seemed to be content. She stated:
"Thoma, you always complete household duties fast and effectively, as if you were born to do so. But cooking is another story. You were so driven to create this mochi and have it look just like mine that you overlooked the most vital component."
"Milady, you mean..."
"Think of me as you make each one."
Thoma's cheeks began to flush. He nodded fast and firmly. However, his multiple attempts did not yield the desired results. Thoma appeared to be concealing his own emotions, as he was worried Lady Ayaka might taste the feeling beyond his duty to her.
Back in the kitchen, Thoma was still shaping every mochi. At the moment, Lady Ayaka needed as much encouragement as possible. He couldn't fail her. He was bound to make a dessert that would make her understand his feelings.
"Think of me as you make each one…"
Though she might reject him. Though this discreet confession would probably destroy their years-long friendship... Thoma was willing to make a sacrifice, as the feelings in his heart grew, to the point where he could no longer keep them concealed any longer.
Finally, Thoma was done with everything. He placed the plates on a tray and carried them to the ladies' room.
It was rather dark. Thoma waited until it's cleaning time to return to the room.  He saw that the tray of food on the table had only been slightly reduced, and he didn't see the mochi. He walked inside to look for the lady. She wasn't working anymore, just sitting calmly on the porch, or engawa as the people of Inazuma call it. A half-eaten dish of Snow on the Hearth stood next to her.
Thoma grinned at her. When he came to ask whether the lady had a good supper, he saw she was sleeping. Closed eyes, head lying on a wooden pillar.  She must be exhausted. Thoma did not wake Ayaka and instead walked inside to get her a blanket.
Thoma gently draped the blanket over Ayaka's shoulders, hardly rousing her. The young lady was still sleeping peacefully. Thoma took a seat next to her. He took advantage of this unusual opportunity to secretly observe her for a lengthy time. It was as if he had buried the figure of the young lady and this adoration deep within his heart.
Thoma appeared to be drawn in closer by Ayaka's lovely features. His breath brushed over her cheekbones softly. How wonderful it would be if time could be stopped right at that moment...
Ayaka awoke at that very time. Thoma's gaze met hers for a split second before he pulled back.
“M-Milady!...” He stumbled. How could he justify this act of disrespect to her?
"Thoma?" Ayaka appeared to be sleepy still. She noticed the blanket draped over her shoulders and pulled it closer. "When did you come in?"
"I just got here. I'd like to know if you enjoyed your meal, particularly this dessert..."
Ayaka looked at the plate beside her, the corners of her lips forming a smile:
"Very delicious."
Thoma gave a nod. That was sufficient.
But Ayaka felt more from the mochi. She went on to say:
"Unlike before, I think I genuinely sensed Thoma's thoughts in it this time."
Thoma gave the young lady a surprised look. Ayaka looked away from him, out into the little courtyard. Snow started to fall.
"Look! It is the first snow."
The first snowfall of the season always reminded her of the day her brother brought Thoma home for the first time. How destitute he appeared at the time. She brought him the mochi she had just cooked. Winters had been long and cold. Ayaka was much more mature than she had been before. She wondered if Thoma had noticed what she meant, concealed beneath the delicate coating of mochi. Why were the ones he made for her still missing something…
But she realized something today after tasting Thoma's mochi. Previously, he wouldn't dare to invest too much love into the sweets. Today was different. The dessert had a distinct flavor of warmth, caring, and something more. The flavor of his heart.
Fortunately, Thoma's mochi tasted just like Ayaka's. She was relieved that Thoma had finally let his heart to speak.
"Milady, you should go inside to stay warm..."
Thoma spoke up, but Ayaka remained silent. She waited quietly for Thoma to look her in the eyes.
"Thoma, remember how the first snow of the season fell when you first arrived?"
"Yes. I remember."
Another silence engulfed everything around. Then, Ayaka said:
"Your mochi, I've got the heart in it."
"You... Are you telling the truth, milady? You understand my sincere heart? ...
Thoma was taken aback once more. When he looked at Ayaka, she was smiling brilliantly.
"It's quite a regret that it took so long to reach to me."
Thoma was afraid to breathe deeply. Was he dreaming? Did Lady Ayaka grasp his heartfelt words in the mochi? Would she be displeased with him or possibly force him out of the estate for daring to hope in vain?
Ayaka turned around to face Thoma. Her head bowed gently.
"Thank you."
Thoma also bowed down in a hurry. His hands were clenched around his knees. He was scared that she would see them tremble the way his heart was dancing.
Ayaka rose up and went inside. Thoma thought that was the end. Maybe he would be kicked out of the estate the next day, not having time to say goodbye to his lord. But then he heard Ayaka's footsteps on the wooden plank behind him so suddenly. He turned around in time to see her face rushing toward him.
The lady's hand rested on his shoulder. Pink lips, sweeter than Ayaka's tastiest mochi, brushed across his cheeks and halted at the corner of his lips. Thoma was petrified at that moment. He was certain that if he lost control just a little further, his Pyro Vision would burn down the entire estate in such bliss.
-The End-
— Small Self-Awareness Moments Headcanons ♡ !
Tumblr media
⊹ [ scenarios ] — How do they react to you getting hit while in dialogue, changing your main and simping over them. ◞
⊹ [ cw ] — none. ◞
Tumblr media
⠀‣ Getting hit while in dialogue
Panic inside and want to help, but because of the scripted dialogue, they aren't able to move or talk or anything, they can only watch you suffer and die.
─ Ayaka, Gorou, Thoma, Xiao
What are you doing? This isn't the moment for fighting and you could pay a bit of attention to them. If they could facepalm, they would.
─ Alhaitham, Diluc, Ei, Tighnari
They shouldn't laugh at your pain, fortunately they can't show a different expression, but they're laughing mentally and enjoying the show of you struggling.
─ Childe, Kaeya, Scaramouche, Venti, Yae Miko
⠀‣ Changing your main
Finally, you let them go. No offense but they have a lot of work to do.
─ Alhaitham, Diluc, Ei, Kaeya, Tighnari, Yae Miko
What about them? They're your strongest character and don't you remember when you explored Teyvat together? Clearly jealous, and would try to send email to you to get back your attention.
─ Childe, Itto, Scaramouche
Feel insecure, aren't they enough? You took their artefacts to give them to another, the problem is surely coming from them. Suddenly, when you login again, their stats are higher and it takes longer for them to run out of stamina. They'll try to satisfy you just please keep them.
─ Ayaka, Gorou, Xiao
⠀‣ Simping over them
Get flustered inside and thank the Archons that nobody can't see their embarrassment. They know you don't know they are self aware, but can't you be a bit appropriate?
─ Diluc, Scaramouche, Xiao
Find it funny since you don't know they can hear you, but they definitely appreciate the compliments, if they can talk to you one day, they'll return the praises.
─ Childe, Kaeya, Venti, Yae Miko
Genshin Siblings’ Reactions to Their Sister Having a Girlfriend!
Tumblr media
Genre: Fluff, slight crack, (minor Angst in Jean and Barbara’s part)
Reader: Female*
Characters: Ayato & Thoma with Ayaka, Lyney & Freminet with Lynnett, Jean with Barbara, and Extra! Aether with Lumine
Ayato & Thoma-
On a typical evening when Ayato was finishing his daily quota and Thoma was doing his last rounds around the residence, Ayaka boldly enters in, hand in hand with you.
Ayato immediately takes notice, wondering ‘who tf is this bitc-‘ Kidding, he’s just like ‘who are you?’ in his head. And Thoma smirks, as if he already knows something.
The thing is, Ayaka decided to come out to Ayato when she would eventually have a girlfriend to introduce to him.
So when Ayaka asks if the four of you could have dinner together, with her new “friend,” Ayato instantly thinks something is up. His main suspicions are that you ran away from home with your raggedy looking- But he is worried you’re either homeless or in danger. Not really thinking Ayaka wants to introduce a friend, not even taking notice of the way Ayaka looks at you, and not noting your body language around her.
After introductions, the four of y’all are sat around the square table (Kotatsu). Thoma brings a cake with writing saying, ‘Yay! You’re Gay,’ in frosting but it slips pass Ayato as he doesn’t take his eyes off you two.
Once Thoma sits down, Ayaka clears her throat and breaks the big news. “Okay… big brother please don’t be mad. I know you wanted me to remain single for the rest of my life and be lonely till the ends of time-“
Ayato interrupts, not happy with the accusation that is thrown at him. “What? What nonsense why would I want you to be alone? They would just have to be a sensible guy-“
“Ugh! would you let me finish?” Ayaka rolls her eye and interrupts her big brother back. Thoma gives you a soft smile, mouthing the words ‘You better get used to this.’ “Anyways.. like I was saying. I found someone and they’re not a guy so-” Ayaka turns to look at you and Ayato’s jaw drops.
“You’re not homeless?” Ayato exclaims, shock and surprise written on his face. Evidently, the news for Ayaka and you together hasn’t hit him yet.
“Ayato!” Thoma and Ayaka yell simultaneously, while you laugh. Ayato almost looks embarrassed at his words, but you chime in before he can say anything else stupid.
“No, but I am your sisters girlfriend if you’re okay with that…” You look to Ayaka and give her hand a squeeze. She’s been pretty nervous about this whole meeting and stressing about how her overprotective brother would take it. Therefore she came out to Thoma before hand and asked if he would be willing to help break the news to him.
Ayaka and Thoma eagerly eat up Ayato’s reaction. “So.. you won’t be pregnant right?”Ayato nods to himself. And everyone but him deadpans. “Yea, I’m okay with this. Why wouldn’t I be?” He smiles at y’all and watches how his sister gleams.
Ayaka runs over the table to give her brother a hugeee hug. “Oh my god! Ugh I can’t believe I was scared to tell you!.” Ayato gives his sister a hug back and she sits back down.
“Wait.. Thoma?” Ayato looks to the blonde who’s already laughing. “Did you-?”
“Know? Yea… look at the cake I made buddy.” Thoma points to the clearly rainbow colored cake. “It’s a fruit cake. To celebrate this fruity day.” Thoma explains all excited and quite proud of his work.
“Well I see that now.. gosh.” Ayato mumbles and digs in. He slices different pieces for everyone.
The rest of dinner ends in laughter and more of Ayato’s dumb questions. Like “how do women fu-“Where did you guys meet,” and “Who confessed first,” as both Ayato and Thoma anxiously hear your story.
P.S. Ayato’s biggest fear is that Ayaka would get swept up by some dead beat guy and boom hed become an uncle one day, so he’s really happy you’re here to prevent that hypothetical nonsense.
Lyney & Freminet-
When Lynnett calls her brothers out for a cup of tea, they immediately think something must be wrong.
After all, Lynnett never plans meetings. She doesn’t have too since they all live in the same house.
So they conspire with one another for the reason for this meeting on the way to the cafe. And when they enter the building and see their shy Lynnett laughing and giggling, sat next to someone… Lyney’s first thought is, ‘who is this clone of Lynnett?’ And Freminent looks as if he’s lost his marbles. After all, everyone that Lynnett knows, the brothers already know… well almost everyone, until you stringed along.
They both know that their sister likes women. So you being a girl is no surprise. Mainly because Lynnett’s not the most discrete about her likings. If she likes something, they’ll find herself in her own world staring at the object of her desire or find herself obsessed with it, like tea. (Actually I think that’s just a bRiTisH thing.)
Anywho, neither of the siblings have EVER seen Lynnett like this and their eyes immediately trace to the cause of her giddy behavior. You.
Lyney hesitates a minute before asking,“Uhhh Lynnett?” Lynnett turns to look at her twin, who wears a nervous smile. Lyney swears he feels a shiver down his spine, still not fully convinced the girl, who looks like an identical copy of him, is his sister. “Who that?” He points to you, so shocked he forgot his manners.
“Lyney! Don’t be rude! This is Y/N.” She turns to you, “my girlfriend.” Freminent’s shock didn’t show on his face until now, and Lyney is still in confusion. “I called the two of you here to introduce you guys since Y/N will be around more often.” She takes a sip of her cup of tea, “But that was it, so you guys can leave now.” She smiles and was about to continue talking to you as Lyney and Freminent both immediately pull up a chair.
“Waiter, two cinnamon teas please!” Lyney gets the worker’s attentions and turns back to Lynnett, “Oh we are soo here to stay.” Freminent nods vigorously in agreement and Lynnett sighs.
“Exactly! You can’t just introduce her to us and not tells us anything!” Freminent exclaims, crossing his arms over his chest as he huffs.
Lynnett warned you that they might not take the news too well. It’s been the three of them for god knows how long, and she didn’t think they’d be ready to see her get onto the next phase in her life with you.
But you told her this meeting would be good for the both of you. She wouldn’t have to be so cautious with you around the city anymore and could finally get rid of the rope she used for you climb through her window and meet her. Plus it was about high time her siblings knew about the two of y’all together.
“They have a point Lynnett. How can they accept us if they barley know me?” You look at her and she frowns. She just didn’t want to put you through the trouble of her brothers eating at your head :(. “Please,” You ask her earnestly and she sighs.
“Fine. Out with it you two. What do you want to know?” Lynnett glares at them, communicating with her eyes to not ask anything rude. “You don’t have to answer anything you don’t want to.” She whispers to you and you squeeze her hand in reassurance.
“Oh me first!” Lynnett raises his hand to beat Freminent who slides back into his seat. “Why do you love my sister?” He analyzes you, preparing what he will say if you give him a bad answer.
“Well..” The brothers lean in to hear your answer. “What’s there not to love?” You say with a small chuckle. “But if I had to pick some of my favorite things about her it would have to be… how she looks at me… and how she tries to make sure I’m always okay in her own way. But I think the thing I love the most about her… is her independence.” You look to Lynnett who’s already blushing.
Freminent and Lyney look at eachother and it’s as if they come to an understanding that maybe you really are right for her. They usually aren’t so quick to trust someone at face value with some words, but they know. Lynnett has a wall around people and doesn’t let it down around just anyone. They trust that their sister is good at figuring out people’s good intentions from wrong, and if she’s opened her heart to you. Then they trust her. They trust her judgement of you.
“Well, I’ll admit thats not a bad answer.” Lyney rumbles, rubbing his neck, not so happy with his defeat.
“But I have one last question.” Freminent asks and the attention turns to boy who’s remained mostly quiet throughout this discussion. “It’s a really important one.” He looks to both Lyney and Lynnett, and it’s as if they both already know what he’s about to ask.
“Of course. Ask anything. I’m an open book.” You say with a calm smile.
Freminent takes a deep breath, “If you want to be a part of this family then… do you promise that no matter what you hear… or what you learn.. you’ll try to see things from our side?” All three of them look eagerly towards you.
Lynnett has told you seldom about her life outside of magic, but you know in your heart that no matter what, Lynnett will always be someone you cannot live without.
“We all have a story don’t we? …When you trust me enough to tell me yours, I know that no matter what I hear or see… I will wait for however long it takes to hear that story before coming to any sort of judgement.” You say softly, looking at them all and see the brothers tense figures lighten. When you turn back to Lynnett, her eyes tell you everything you need to know and how touched she is.
“Well shit.” Lyney says. “Welcome to the family.” He exclaims, and their drinks have arrived. The rest of the lunch continues with the exchanging of stories from embarrassing moments Lynnett’s had as a child to great epic moments of the high time in their careers. Though they don’t talk anymore about their past, you know when the time is right the occasion will come. :)
P.S. POV: You actually infiltrated their family to learn their magic tricks >:)
Jean-
When Jean patrols Mondstat’s forests for any lurking danger, she sees her sister sitting next to someone on dock of the lake. Their legs dangling and feet touching the water. She was about to walk up to say hi until she sees her sister kiss the person next to her.
Jean drops her sword and a loud thud startles both you and Barbara as the two of you turn around to look at the cause of the sound, only to find the shocked expression of the Acting Grand Master.
“Sister!” Barbara looks as if she’s seen a ghost and gets up to run to her.
“Wait Barbara your shoes-“ You get cut off by Jean running away and Barbra chasing after her.
You sigh, grabbing Barbara’s shoes and wearing yours, while following the shouting of the ladies. You even pick up Jean’s sword that she’s left on the floor.
You and Barbara haven’t been together for very long, but you’re both serious about each other. However, every time you would mention if it’s time to introduce each other to one another’s family, Barbara would avoid the topic. You later learned it was cause Barbara’s sister is extremely overprotective of her.
And it makes sense after all. Barbara has been known to have stalkers and crazy fans (IFHY ALBERT). You yourself know how naive Barbara can be at times and how she doesn’t really take the best care of herself. After all, most of the time you’re picking up after her.
You find the sisters deep into the forest. Barbara sitting down on a rock, her pale feet covered in mud and gunk. And Jean pacing back and forth with a hand messing up her pony tail.
“I can’t believe you went behind my back!” Jean shouts. “A girlfriend? Seriously Barbara? Do you think you’re mature enough to be in a relationship? Do you think that girl is trustworthy?” Jean turns to her sister.
“How dare you! Y/N is a great partner and we’re doing really good! And I’ve learned so much being with her than I have before!…Gosh I knew you were going to react like this so I hid it from you.” Barbara continues the shouting, but then starts to weep and Jean sighs. Jean hates it when her sister cries. And she hates it even more when she’s the one who makes her sister cry.
“Oh Barbara, please don’t cry-“ Jean kneels down, about to wipe her tears.
“Tell me, is it just a thing in your family to leave your stuff everywhere?” You interrupt, and the stark difference in their reactions almost makes you laugh.
Barbara exclaims your name and runs up to give you a hug, while Jean stands back up and crosses her arms over her chest. She wears a furrowed brow on her face to match the tense body language.
“You got mud all over you.” You tell Barbara softly and Barbara giggles. Once she lets go of the hug, you kneel down to clean her feet with a cloth. You put her shoes on her as well, and when you stand back up, you’re met with a distraught look on Jean’s face. “Here. Your sword.” When you walked to her to hand it back to her, Jean looks even more lost.
Jean, for the past years, has been the one taking care of her sister all the time. And though what you did just now might seem small, Jean didn’t even notice her sister was walking around barefoot. ‘What if Barbara got a thron stuck in her foot and her whole leg got infected?’ She beats herself up about not noticing sooner.
“Thank you,” Jean speaks very softly. Almost as if she’s trying to counteract for her shouting earlier.
“Don’t mention it,” You give her a genuine smile. You get where the older sister is coming from after all. “Now, how do we resolve this?” You look at both the sisters.
Barbara walks closer to where you and Jean stand. “Jean… I know I’m asking a lot from you to accept us given how bad I can be at judging people… but I swear. I swear on Barbatos that Y/N is a good person.” She looks at you and you smile. You can’t help yourself but to pat her head.
“Jean, I know how worried you must be. You’ve just seen your little sister being affectionate with some random stranger… but I promise you that this random stranger.. will take even better care of Barbara than you have over the years.” You make a challenge to yourself at Jean and she finally loosens up.
Jean exhales deeply. And shakes her head at how she jumped to conclusions about you.“I will take you up on that.” She looks at Barbara and then at you and noticed how she hasn’t really seen Barbara this happy and free in a while. Being stressed AF runs in the their family and she tells herself that maybe you’re good for her Barbara. And that maybe it’s time to let her sister experience the world for herself, without Jean’s watchful eye. “But.. I think we’re all do for a shower and a proper dinner after. I have many questions.” You and Barbara agree, sticky from the lake and the humid air as the three you guys walk back.
But this time instead of someone running away from another, someone shouting, and someone crying, you guys walk together. This marks the new beginning of getting to know each other and the rest of your lives.
P.S. Even if Jean ended up accidentally slaying your ass out of anger, C6 Barbara would’ve brought you back <3
A/N: I did a Barbara version where Jean introduces you as her girlfriend but I second guessed myself thinking that might be weird after I did the Jean version… (._.)
Aether-
Aether doesn’t believe his sister got a partner before he did. Questions his rizz. The end ;)
Kidding, he doesn’t even know his sister has a girlfriend because he hasn’t found her-
A/N: How do people write traveller?? What even is their personality, like are they pretty? Yes. Do they speak? No. What do you guys go off of?? [・_・?]
