alright, BUT it just occurred to me that bunny mask would likely be so flabbergasted by the concept of robin in the dc verse. like just imagine that she just got done with killing her fourth criminal of the day or whatever number she may be on, and she can feel someone following her and whenever she turns around, it's literally a pre-teen in a costume. LIKE JSJSJS no shade towards robin, of course, because i love all of the incarnations of the character,, but i feel as if bunny mask would literally take one look at them and be like ' oh... i didn't realize this city was so desperate for heroes that they started to recruit children. i guess i came here at just the right time, after all ' and she doesn't even say that in an insulting way.
i just think bunny genuinely wouldn't understand the whole concept of it at first, and might even be a little disturbed that they have pitted this poor kid against pretty dangerous people, so she's just like ' yeah uhhh i know you want to stop me and everything but GO HOME ' LMAOO and she will threaten them with escorting them back home herself if they don't leave, like,, bunny mask is such a mom without even realizing it 💀 though regardless, the last thing that she would want is for them to get hurt and she absolutely REFUSES to fight anyone below the age of 16 okok because at least they're only like two years away from being an adult jsjsj and even then, bunny mask will hold back against them severely + will constantly be telling them that she really doesn't want to be fighting with them right now. she does not want to cause anymore misery in a place that is already so plagued by it, after all, and children are arguably the most innocent people in society,, so, if they do try to seriously engage with her at any point, i could just imagine her trying to put them in air jail or something rather than fight them because there ain't no way she's doing this LOLLL
but yeahhh,, that's just my two cents about the situation. and i feel like if/when she learned that robin was ' employed ' by batman, she wouldn't be mad at him. bunny mask would just be very disappointed™ and somehow that might be even worse than her being mad at you jsjsj

Law thinks he has it figured out.
That scrawny kid who just wandered into the university’s yearly flu vaccine clinic Law was manning and just DECIDED that Law was his new best friend— Luffy, he said his name was. Monkey D. Luffy, as if anyone could take that name seriously.
Law thinks he’s figured it out, though. How Luffy CHOOSES the people he does, and adds them to his group.
(not that Law is IN his group, absolutely not).
Sanji’s the most obvious one. He’s INCREDIBLY useful, no one could deny that. He cooks obscene amounts of food for everyone.
Nami, too, feels like a given. She has CONNECTIONS, knows how to use them, keeps records and receipts and organizes all the parties that Luffy spontaneously seems to decide on. She’s the brains.
Zoro Law struggled with at first, the man seems to just think about swords—
but seeing them out in public, Law realizes he’s like a human guard dog, leering over Luffy’s shoulder at anyone who disagrees. Chopper seems a little young— is the kid even in undergrad?— but he’s first aid trained and Law’s seen him put it to use on numerous occasions already.
Now Nico Robin— how on EARTH Luffy managed to make friends with the youngest tenured professor GLU has ever had is beyond Law, but she has connections in academia the way Nami does on the streets. Law would bet money that Robin’s the only reason Luffy is still enrolled.
Usopp’s an odd one, but he’s… well, funny might not be exactly the right word. Entertaining. And more importantly can fix anyone’s computer or phone within an hour. He adds weird features when he does, but his work is solid.
Franky is a GIVEN, he’s the one with the converted old double decker bus — Law didn’t think they even HAD those here — and auto garage. Luffy says the word and he’ll fix anyone’s car free of charge. It’s ridiculous what Luffy can get people to do.
Brook is also obvious. Most famous musician this side of the East Blue, how on EARTH did Luffy meet him? Regardless, the man’s surely a millionaire slumming it with the rest of them for the chance to play what he wants to play and be appreciated for it
Jinbei was confusing until Law learned how they met — that protest that Luffy (along with half his crew) were arrested at last semester. Professor Emeritus in the law department, he was once famous for organizing protests around campus, and eagerly bailed them all out.
So, Law’s figured it out. As much as Luffy SEEMS like a carefree brainless soul, he’s been strategic from the very first step, surrounding himself with everyone he needs to stay on top. He’s incredibly devious, honestly, Law’s almost intimidated.
He also knows that this means he doesn’t have a place among them.
As much as he’s always planned on being a surgeon, things just don’t work out sometimes. Like when your adopted uncle frames your adopted father for tax fraud and make it look like HE’S a millionaire—
Meaning you suddenly end up with a dad in jail AND getting rejected for FAFSA. No money, no loans, one single scholarship that Law’s about to be dropped from. Sorry Luffy, you’re going to have to find a surgeon somewhere else. Chopper will be good enough, surely.
He tries to separate himself from Luffy, but that’s easier said than done, as Luffy sticks to him like glue when they’re in the same place. The man’s incorrigible, impossible, guileless, brazen…
Law ends up yelling at him in the middle of a party thrown at Jinbei’s house.
Shouts that he’s dropping out, failing, not going to live up to whatever role Luffy’s recruited him to fill. Tells him to find another surgeon, they’re a dime a dozen on med campus anyway. Storms out before he does something dumb like tear up.
Oddly enough it’s Usopp who follows him.
He sits down next to Law, looking stiff and uncomfortable, and declares that he “knows what Law’s going through”, which feels, well, patently untrue.
“I did this like a year ago,” Usopp says. “Tried to tell him to drop me.”
They’re sitting on the curb. Law scrunches grass between his fingers and stares at the road.
“I had a car,” Usopp says. “She was BEAUTIFUL. Best car you’ve ever seen. Two hundred miles to the gallon and ran on French fry grease.”
Ah, this is one of those stories.
Usopp deflates. “Then she died,” he says. “We’d just met Franky and he told me she was beyond repair. Then he offered up that bus he has, replacing her before she was even in the ground yet! And like, I’m not going to say he was replacing ME, but like—“
Law nods.
“It’s not like I had a lot going for me anyway,” Usopp says. “Not compared to Nami or Sanji or Chopper. I thought I was just lucky Luffy found me early, when his standards were lower.” He laughs, but there’s no joy behind it.
“Anyway,” he picks at the laces of his shoes. “That car’s at the bottom of a lake now, may she rest in peace. And after I tried to pull what you just pulled, Luffy really fucking let me have it.” He ducks his head. “Told me I was being fucking stupid, and he was right.”
He glances up at the sky and Law watches, a queasy feeling in the base of his stomach.
“Turns out,” Usopp says after a long pause, “Luffy really does just choose people he likes.” He sighs. “You’re just lucky, actually, because I don’t think he’s liked anyone as much as you.”
Law grimaces. He doesn’t FEEL lucky.
Usopp, taking his queue, stands up. “The sooner you admit what you’re dealing with, though, the more he’s able to help.”
Then he leaves Law alone.
And Law… finds he doesn’t want to BE alone.
He slinks back into the party maybe twenty minutes later. It’s chill. Brook is taking song requests. Sanji is handing out grilled halloumi.
Luffy immediately walks up to him. “Why didn’t you TELL ME,” he asks, indignant.
“What, that my life is a mess?”
“Everyone’s life is a mess, silly,” Luffy says. “But we can HELP, duh.”
“I think even YOU can’t keep me from getting kicked out of GLU,” Law says.
“No,” Luffy agrees. “But HE can.”
He points to Jinbei, sitting at an old yellowed desktop computer in the corner.
“I have friends in the law department who haven’t retired yet,” Jinbei says. He has small spectacles perched on his nose. “They know people. Sending a few emails now.”
Chopper walks up to the two of them, looking shy. “I can help you study,” he says. “N-not that you need it!”
Nico Robin comes over, cocktails in each hand, pushing one of them into his. “Student services is accommodating,” she says. “If you know who to ask.”
“YOW!” Shouts Franky from the couch. “And I just hacked their system and changed your grades!”
Law chokes on his drink.
“SEE?” Luffy huffs, crossing his arms. “It’s FINE. You freaked out for nothing!”
Law squints at him. “And if it’s not fine, Luffy-ya? If none of this helps and I still fail out of school?”
Luffy purses his lips. “Duh, then you can just come live with me.“
He looks incredibly petulant. “It’s not like I like you BECAUSE you’re a surgeon. I like you because I asked for two of every shot and you said I’d have to choose a fake name instead of telling me no!”
Ah. He did do that, didnt he.
“And anyway, *i* don’t have a degree and I’m fine!”
“You’re GETTING one,” Law points out.
Luffy looks at him like he’s lost it. “I attend classes because they’re fun,” he says. “I don’t even have a high school degree, I don’t care about that stuff.”
…huh.
“Now come on,” Luffy says, wrapping small boney fingers around Law’s wrist. Zoro’s going to play snooker with me and I need you to watch to make sure he doesn’t cheat, because I don’t know the rules.”
And Law follows him.
And follows him.
And follows him.
And when he starts his next semester with his dad out of jail because Jinbei’s connections are honestly a little scary, and when he doesn’t sleep for three days in a row during finals week, and when he gets into the exact fellowship he wants, working under Marco himself—
Law follows Luffy.
Because nothing else makes sense.
Law hasn’t figured Luffy out at all But he’s figured everyone else out. Understands the magnetism they’re all drawn to.
And when he falls into bed with Luffy at the end of long days and weeks, He knows he’s the lucky one.

TW: mentioned past homophobia (steve's dad), steve uses the q slur to refer to himself once (quoting his dad), this is a happy ending i promise y'all
When Steve sent the invitations, he never expected his parents to actually attend. He never expected them to actually see the envelopes, even. It had been a fleeting moment of impulsivity that had led to him sending them at all, figuring it would be better to get the hurt out of the way before the ceremony came and passed without either of the people who gave him life in attendance.
And yet, when the wedding ceremony was over and the party was starting, he saw her.
His mom.
She wasn't sitting in the front row of chairs where the rest of their family was. Eddie had tried to convince Steve not to leave two chairs open beside Wayne for his parents, but he needed to see it for himself. Those empty chairs needed to be front and center, a reminder that the only people worth caring about were the ones filling their assigned chairs. Steve's mom wasn't sitting in hers, but she was there, stood in the very back where Hopper was keeping watch over the whole thing, daring anyone who disagreed with the scene to get anywhere near them.
Maggie Harrington wasn't dressed as prim and proper as she could've been, the only way Steve had ever seen her. No, today she was in a simple sundress, hair flying wildly around her shoulders in a way that reminded him with painful clarity of where he'd gotten his appearance from. The same brunette waves, the same doe eyes now staring at him like she'd never seen anything so wonderful and terrible before.
Even as everyone got up from their chairs to convert the outdoor space into the after-party, she stayed at the edge of everything, exactly as she'd been on the fray of his life since he'd left Hawkins at 19 and never looked back.
"Go talk to her," Eddie spoke, notching his chin over Steve's shoulder from behind, wrapping his arms around his middle and interlocking his fingers over Steve's belly.
"I don't know what to say." Visions of the night he'd left flashed unbidden in Steve's mind—all the shouting from his dad, the crying from his mom, him begging his mom to say something, anything. Eddie picking him up from Robin's house after he'd called, promising they could go anywhere they wanted. They'd left for Chicago the same night, and Steve had never looked back.
"Hi is a good start," Eddie teased gently, pressing a kiss to Steve's jaw before stepping back from him. "You can do it. I'll be over with Gareth and the others when you're done."
It was Eddie's quiet support—his husband's support—that pushes Steve's feet to action. Before he could begin to think of what to say, he was standing in front of her. There was too much to say, nothing at all that could rise to his lips, so he said the first thing his mind could supply.
"You didn't RSVP."
His mom winced, hands raising then stopping, fingers clenching as though she physically stopped herself from touching him. "I know, Steven, I know. I'm sorry."
This was too much. It was all too much and Steve wished he'd never sent the invitation, that he'd just listened to Eddie's fucking advice because he always seemed to know Steve best, better than even himself. "Most people RSVP for events. It's the polite thing to do, proper etiquette and all. You taught me that."
"Steven, please," his mom tried again, voice wobbling enough that some of the anger began to leech out of him. And that, well that made him more angry. What right did she have to show up on the happiest day of his life? To choose now to make him confront everything he'd fought so hard to forget? "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry for everything. I want my son back."
"It took you five years to realize you missed me? That's really great, Mom, we should really give you the Mother of the Year award for that one."
"Steven," his mom finally snapped, and again her expression could have mirrored his own, that familiar flash of uncontrollable anger and hurt across her eyes before it was reined back in to a disquieted coolness. "I am trying. I am doing the best thing I can to be the mother you needed back then."
"You think I wasn't trying?" Steve's voice was eerily calm, an even-tone that clashed loudly with the tears beginning to blur his vision. "Do you think I didn't spend my life trying to be the son you wanted so badly? I did everything perfect, exactly what you and Dad expected and it still wasn't enough. It would never be enough, not once you found out what I am, right? The sports were fine, and the friends, and even retaking my SATs so I could go to college, but none of it could ever make up for the queerness could it?"
"Steven, stop it," his mom begged, tears falling down her own face now. They were drawing a crowd in the way his fights used to in school. No one was outright staring, but all of them lingered nearby, ears turned to listen, eyes glancing by every so often to catch the scene. He'd like to think they were waiting for him, waiting to see if they needed to step in.
"Oh, I'm sorry, how could I forget Dad's exact words? It's fine if I don't act on it, if I find some woman I don't love and settle down. It's fine if I become like the two of you, marrying for reputation and making my kids fucking miserable."
That did it for his mom. He could see the moment the switch flipped, when the tears turned into something harder, more focused. "Steven, I did not come here to be berated. I came to apologize, for everything."
And that, well, that was new. Harringtons don't apologize.
"I shouldn't have let your father say all those things, I shouldn't have let you leave. I didn't...you can't understand, but I was scared," she tried, reaching out for his hand and wincing when he took a half-step back to evade her touch. "But losing you, not knowing where you were or if you were happy...that was the worst thing to ever happen to me, Steven."
"Good," Steve forced out through the tears, though he's not sure he believed it. He wasn't sure what he believed. "You should've said something then, not five years later."
"I know, I know that, and that is going to weigh on me for the rest of my life. But Steven, Steve, let me try again, please," his mom begged, and God he wanted to tell her to stop because Harringtons don't beg, they demand, but she kept going and going and it reminded him of himself. "It took me too long but...I got there. I'm here. I'm here, Steve, and I promise I'll try to be the mom you always deserved. I understand we can't get that time back, we can't have what it should've been from the beginning, but please, I want to see my baby's life."
Steve wanted to yell at her. He wanted to scream and throw something and tell her to get out. He wanted to spit every vile word he could come up with at her, to make her hurt the way his dad had made him hurt. And yet, this was everything he'd ever dreamed out, all those nights when he'd cried in Eddie's arms for his parents, for them to see the life he'd built for himself.
"I can't just..." Steve sighed, looking up to the sky as if the clouds might provide him with an answer. "I can't trust you, right away. I need time, Eddie'll need time he...he's pretty protective, you know."
"Good," his mom answered, pulling a small, tearful laugh out of Steve. "You deserve to have someone looking out for you like that."
"Do you..." Steve sighed, fighting the urge to mess with his hair lest Nancy kills him for it. He glanced to Eddie, seeing him with his chin tilted back as he laughed joyously across the space, hand gripped around a champagne glass. "Do you want to meet him?"
The smile that warmed his mother's expression was worth all of it. Steve had never seen her so open, so emotional. Maybe she really had changed, really come to every realization he'd wished she'd made five years ago.
"I'd like that very much."
It would take time. There would be good moments and bad, some where Steve wondered if any of it would work out and some where he'd laughed with his mom more than he ever had as a kid. Slowly, not-so-gracefully, they found a way to make it work. She came over for weekly dinners with him and his husband (who asked more than once if her pull in the Indiana statehouse could get them an official license), she called once a week and asked about his friends, his studies, the kids he worked with at his job.
And before Steve could even blink, he had his mom back.

"If you had to pick a boy from school to date... who would you pick?" Blossom asked, not sure if she'd wanna know the answer. She was lying on her stomach, flipping through a magazine in Robin's bedroom where they held one of many slumber parties.
"Uh..." Robin hesitated, not knowing what to say. She was so tired of lying to her best friend about her feelings, but what was she supposed to say? That she was in love with her?
"I don't think I'd pick anyone. They're all either ugly or boring, the only nice and sorta good-looking one is Dustin but he's too young for me," Blossom murmured. Truth was she never liked a girl before, but when Robin was there she felt... something different.
"Yeah, me either. They're all too... immature," she exclaimed, glad that Blossom had answered the way she had, not only to find out she didn't like anyone else, but so she could latch onto her answer as well.
Blossom sat up to face Robin with a little smirk. "But have you ever dated anyone?" The question definitely had ulterior motives, she desperately wanted to know if her friend liked someone and if so, what her type was.
"Not... exactly. Okay, no, I haven't," Robin exclaimed, making a face. "Have you?" She wondered reluctantly.
"I've dated one guy but it didn't last too long..." Blossom murmured. "It was just a little weird with him, you know? Like that's not how it's meant to be."
“Oh?” Robin asked, perking up before quickly clearing her throat. “I mean, why was it weird?” She asked, crossing her legs under her.
"He didn't treat me like I wanted to be treated, I felt attracted to him, but... it's like boys have a few nice bits and are attached to the rest, which is trash."
Robin couldn’t help but laugh. “I won’t disagree with you there,” she snorted.
"But um... does that mean you never kissed a boy before?" Blossom asked, feeling a little flutter in her stomach, even though she didn't fully understand it.
“I’ve… never kissed anyone,” she admitted, her face flaring brightly and suddenly feeling very hot, her palms starting to sweat.
A little gasp left Blossom's lips when she noticed how flushed (and absolutely adorable) her friend was.
"That's okay, everyone has their moment, nothing wrong with that," she assured. "But I don't get it. You're so beautiful, you're like... waking up in the morning and seeing the most wonderful day out the window. Your smile is like the sun, your freckles are so cute, and your eyes are gorgeous! Who wouldn't wanna kiss you?"
“I—“ Robin’s voice faltered and she only felt more flustered. “I’m none of those things!” She exclaimed, bleating an awkward laugh.
"You are though, you're also intelligent and funny and kind. You're like the whole package, anyone who doesn't ask you out is stupid."
Oh my God, it's me... I'm stupid, was all Blossom could think.
“You’re biased cause you’re my friend,” Robin argued, trying to calm her racing heart. Why did it feel like her friend meant all those things she’d said… in more than a friendly way?
"If you were ugly and uninteresting, I could've just kept my mouth shut so I wouldn't hurt your feelings," Blossom pointed out. "I'm not the most experienced kisser ever, but I mean... I know a few things if you ever want tips."
"Oh, uh, what kind of tips?" Robin asked, intrigued, but a little nervous.
"I don't know, like what to do with your tongue and your hands... stuff I wish I knew before," Blossom shrugged.
"Okay, I guess I could use all the help I can get, though I really doubt I'll be kissing anyone soon..." she mumbled.
"You never know. I'd tell you to let the other person take the lead. Your tongue shouldn't be too present, but also not stiff. Try to caress the neck or the hair with your hands so it adds to the sensation."
"Wait, how do you mean, your tongue shouldn't be stiff?" Robin chuckled, a little confused by her explanation.
"If can't be stiff, like hard. It needs to be relaxed, but not relaxed like a thirsty dog just... soft."
"I think I get what you mean, but it's hard to really understand without doing it, I guess," Robin mumbled, looking down at her legs when she realized how that sounded -- like she wanted Blossom to show her.
"Why don't you try it? I can show you... just for practice," the other girl suggested, trying to sound extra casual, as if she wouldn't jump at the first chance to kiss her best friend.
Robin's face flared bright red. "Wait, what?" she exclaimed, swallowing thickly, hastily trying to work moisture back into her mouth.
"Sorry, that was a stupid idea. I'm so sorry, I just thought... it would be easier to show you with practice," Blossom had to resist the urge to hide under a pillow, she felt like such a creep.
"N-no! No, it's okay! It just took me by surprise is all," Robin exclaimed quickly, not wanting her friend to feel bad. However, she also didn't want her to know how eager she was to kiss her. "We can do that," she said, having to take a steadying breath.
"You don't have to if you think it would be gross or something," Blossom murmured, moving closer to her and taking her hand.
"I don't think it would be gross," Robin assured her, a little too insistently. "So... how do we...?" She murmured, barely able to breathe as they shifted closer.
"Just relax and give it a try like this," Blossom whispered slowly approaching her until their lips touched softly. The kiss was slow and delicate, almost as if they moved in slow motion.
Robin didn't think her face could get any hotter, she nearly felt as if she were about to faint. Blossom's lips were softer than she could imagine, and she had imagined.
Slowly, Blossom parted her lips and her tongue found Robin's. She didn't mind her inexperience, it didn't take away from the moment and how amazing it felt. That was definitely what a kiss was meant to feel like.
“Oh—“ Robin gasped as her friend's tongue brushed softly against hers, but she didn’t pull away, her hands balling in the blanket beneath her, fighting the urge to kiss her deeper and make a fool of herself by shoving her tongue down her throat.
"That was pretty good," Blossom finally pulled away, looking quite red in the face. "But you can use more of your tongue, that was a little shy. Let's try one more time."
“I was just afraid of-of using too much,” Robin replied shakily, wetting her lips before leaning back in.
"It's okay, if it's too much, I'll let you know," Blossom murmured, burying her fingers into the other girl's hair. This kiss felt more passionate, more heated. Even though it was just for practice... of course.
Robin's breath hitched as she leaned into the kiss, feeling a little more confident this time, her hands grasping at the other girl's waist, losing herself for a moment in the kiss.
And just like that, nothing else mattered, it felt like they were meant to be, two princesses in a romance novel. Nothing had ever felt more right. "Yeah, I think you got it," Blossom breathed. "That was perfect."
"Oh, right," Robin breathed, coming back to her senses as they parted, remembering that this was just practice and that it wasn't supposed to mean anything. "You really think so?" she asked, trying to steady her voice, not wanting her friend to catch the hint of disappointment behind her words.
"I do, I think anyone would be very lucky to kiss you," Blossom said, fighting tears as she realized Robin would probably never want to kiss her again. Maybe she should've lied and said it wasn't good enough... just to get a few more practice runs.
"Wait, B, are you okay?" Robin exclaimed, noticing the tears caught in her lashes. "What's wrong?" She asked, her chest suddenly tight with worry, afraid she'd upset her.
"I'm fine, really, I'm okay," Blossom nodded, wiping her eyes quickly and looking the other way. "I'm sorry, I don't know what got into me. So silly."
"Hey, you're not silly," Robin insisted, gently turning the other girl's face back to her and instinctively reaching out to brush the tears from her cheek. "Please tell me?" She whispered.
"I can't," she murmured, more tears rolling down her cheeks. "If I tell you, you might never wanna see me again or be my friend and I can't do that."
"Nothing you could tell me would make me not wanna be your friend anymore," Robin assured her, nearly choking on her words, her hands still cupping her friend's face. "Even if you killed someone. I'd help you hide the body," she joked though her voice wavered.
"I never felt like this before," Blossom started, taking a deep breath to gather the courage to admit what had been in her mind for months. "But when I'm with you it's like the rest of the world doesn't matter and everything is perfect. You fix what I never knew was broken... I like you."
Robin blinked. She suddenly felt like she'd been dunked in an ice bath. She had to be dreaming. All the times she'd imagined Blossom saying those words, she'd never really thought it would happen.
"You... do?" She breathed, almost afraid to speak, afraid if she did the bubble would pop and the dream would end.
"I do, I think you're the coolest, most amazing, prettiest girl in the world. Not an army of Daryl Hannahs and Sissy Spaceks could change my mind. Your laugh and your voice are the first things I wanna hear in the morning and the last I wanna hear before bed."
Robin's eyes fluttered, a tear rolling down her cheek and when she opened her mouth to speak a sob came out instead. "I like you too, Blossom," she finally whispered, her voice cracking. "I've liked you for so long, but I was afraid--"
"I was afraid! I thought you liked that boy from Canada you told me about. I didn't know exactly what was going on, I've liked boys before, but I like you. I don't know if that means I'm a lesbian... a half lesbian? Is there such thing as a half lesbian?"
"I only made him up because I didn't want you to think I was pathetic. This whole time, I only liked you," Robin exclaimed, letting out a wet laugh. "I think that means you're bisexual," she said, pressing an overjoyed kiss to Blossom's mouth, kissing her urgently.
The other girl, in turn, kissed her back with the same enthusiasm, almost getting on top of her as she caressed the back of her neck and her dirty blonde hair.
"You could never be pathetic, you're like... like a gorgeous mermaid goddess that I can't get enough of," she giggled.
Robin let out a full-bodied laugh. "You're the gorgeous mermaid goddess!" she exclaimed, kissing all over Blossom's face giddily. "Fuck, I can't believe this is really happening!" she cried, holding tightly to the other girl.
"Me neither, you're like a dream," Blossom leaned against her shoulder. "I wanna keep you all to myself and never share with anyone ever again."
"I'm okay with that," Robin laughed. "Does that mean... we're girlfriends?" she wondered, falling to the bed with the other girl in her arms.
"I think it does... we're girlfriends!" Blossom shrieked in excitement. "You're all mine now! This is perfect."
Robin couldn't stop the giddy laughter that filled her chest and she pressed her forehead to her girlfriend's, her cheeks hurting from how much she was smiling. "You know... I think I might need some more practice at this kissing thing. Think you could help me some more?" She teased, tracing the line of Blossom's jaw with her finger.
"What sort of teacher would I be if I refused?" She winked, pulling her closer again.

Please note that these are MY OWN PERSONAL views, and it’s completely okay if you disagree with them! This turned out WAY longer than I expected, sorry!!
Steve Harrington is bisexual and you can fight me on this (please don’t). He doesn’t know until Robin, though
Eddie is gay as hell. Also I searched up the handkerchief back pocket code and uh.. hdksjd Eddie likes to get a bit spicy lmao
Nancy is bi, too! Also doesn’t know until both Robin and Eddie joined the trauma party (no she does not have a crush on Eddie, but he helped explain things to her)
Jonathan doesn’t label himself, but he doesn’t really care about what gender he’s attracted to! He’s really open to anyone-
Jonathan is also on the ace spectrum and you’ll probably fight me on this TwT
Argyle is pan and poly! He’s so cool, and is very supportive (also his gaydar is on POINT)
Robin is canonically a lesbian and I absolutely adore her, she’s amazing
WILL! We all know he’s gay, it’s canon and that’s beautiful, but I also think he’s on the aromantic spectrum, too! (yes it’s a spectrum, I’m aro/ace and in a relationship ^w^)
Mike is bisexual and has internal biphobia (he doesn’t know you can like both). I like to think he and Steve bond over this and Steve sees his younger self in Mike.
Also, speaking of Steve and Mike, I think Eddie would see his younger self in Will, to parallel. I love parallels
Lucas is a supportive ally and I will gladly fight on this! He’s a sweetheart, let him have nice things!! Like a super cool bi girlfriend!!!
Max is the super cool bi girlfriend!! I love her, and relate to her far too much. So I’m gonna say she doesn’t figure out she’s bi until she moves to Hawkins and has a mini crisis about it, doesn’t tell anyone, and then accepts herself within a month but still doesn’t tell anyone
El has no idea what the LGBTQ+ is until she goes to Chicago and meets Kali. She now knows about gay people! She doesn’t know anything else, tho- (doesn’t understand why ppl treat it like a bad thing) until she goes to California!! So much more information!!! She doesn’t know where she fits in all of it, but she’s super supportive and you know she’ll fight any haters
Dustin is straight, and an ally! A confused ally, but he’s got the spirit!! He has no gaydar, it’s truly unfortunate (but kinda funny, too)
Suzie!! Suzie is straight, but extremely supportive and helps Dustin (everyone) out when they need it- I like to think she learns it all from Eden!
Eden goes by she/they and is also panromantic! She’s also polyamorous and asexual. No I’m not projecting shut up
Murray doesn’t use labels, but he and Alexei are married. Soulmates. Lovers. They love each other so let them love each other.
Murray’s gaydar isn’t as good as Argyle’s, but it’s still pretty on point
Joyce is the most supportive mom ever and she will fight anyone who hurts one of her kids and she will win.
Hopper’s straight, and an eventual ally. He doesn’t support at first cause of how he was raised, but he doesn’t want to hurt the kids and Joyce. Joyce and Murray help him, along with El, Will, Jonathan, and even Suzie somehow!
Erica doesn’t really care for romance right now, nor does she want to claim anything yet. She’s still figuring herself out, even as headstrong as she is. She’s my favorite character, and so everyone is gonna support her of this
This is so long, so I’m gonna make a part two when I have more inspiration/ideas!

Stranger Things: Zodiac Signs, Love Languages, Birthdays
The Fruity Five: Steve, Nancy, Jonathan, Robin, Eddie
Tumblr media
What their Love Languages and Traits are according to me, and what their Zodiac signs are according to my friend who studies Astrology!
This is just a bit of fun! Definitely let me know if you happen to have a birthday near any of the ones I picked :) and enjoy!
-
Steve
Extrovert: He’s okay being alone but prefers the presence of someone else (loves parallel play)
Love language: Quality time because his parents never gave him it. Touch for the same reason. Words of affirmation for the sa-
-Uncomfortable with emotions because he tends to see things in black and white
-Incredibly empathetic to other people, but really struggles to overcome his own problems
-Not very creative, sporty instead
-Himbo (a little stupid but we love him)
-Loves HARD
-Wants his one person, they are his whole world, wants to be theirs too
-Think about how devastated he was when Nancy just admitted she wasn’t in the same place in their relationship
-Very confident in himself, doesn’t mind being the centre of attention occasionally (kind of likes it)
-Suave, good with words, but easily stressed
-Has pent up frustration most of the time in him that waits to come out
-Pretty sensitive, even though he won’t show it
-Has a LOT of love to give
Verdict: Leo Birthday: July 26th
Stranger Things Wikipedia says his birthday is April 29th but that makes him a Taurus therefore I disagree.
Nancy
Introvert: She likes to have her tight knit group of friends, or even just one best friend (Barb) and wants to hang out with her, because spending time with Barb doesn’t drain her energy
Love Language: Quality time, if she found someone with who she could spend time without being drained, that would be something special to her. Also someone who can spend a lot of time with her doing normal regular people things. She loves that.
-Prefers alone time, because spending time with other people kind of drains her
-She finds having to beat around the bush and speaking in a socially accepted manner very tiring
-Loves that her job (journalism) is something she can do with minimal help
-Natural leader
-Has a hard time letting things go
-Has a really strong sense of justice and holds onto a lot of guilt
-More of a listener than talker
-There’s definitely more going on in her mind that she would ever show or tell
-Loves reading deep into things
-Isn’t necessarily creative in a physical sense (painting or drawing) but she does enjoy those things
-She expresses herself through spending lots of time with her journalism and dressing a certain way
-A little snappy
-Overthinks a lot
Verdict: Gemini Birthday: June 18th
Jonathan
Introvert: loves spending time with Nancy and Will but isn’t really the party kind. Think about Steve’s Halloween party when he struggled to blend it
Love Language: Acts of service. Since he’s the older brother, he’s very used to taking care of Will and occasionally having to take care of his mom too (S1) so he would want someone assertive to sometimes do things for him and help him get a load off.
-Definitely prefers to be underdressed than overdressed
-His style was overall a little bland until he met Nancy and he started to wear things that weren’t always brown or beige
-A little on the shy side when it comes to friendly socialising
-Assertive if it comes to serious things
-Of course, very creative
-Loves his photography
-Very ambitious, since he wanted to go to college in New York since he was a little kid and seemed to work towards it with his photos
-Doesn’t shy away from saying how he feels, or encouraging other people around him
-Always gives Will all the love and supports he can
-Whether it be hugs, or reassurance, or giving Will his mixtape, he loves his family more than anything
Verdict: Very creative Taurus [Or Virgo, we struggled deciding] Birthday: April 27th
Google says his birthday is in ‘Fall’ so maybe he is a Virgo after all, but we think he suits Taurus more
Robin
Extrovert: Why would she spend time by herself when she can be attached to Steve’s arm or if she could be sitting on your lap or driving around with Nancy or fighting dragons with Eddie?
Love Language: Touch. If she’s not holding your hand then what’s the point…?
-Very energetic, Jack Russell or Golden Retriever vibes
-Has many of her interests that she delves deep into
-Clearly incredibly smart, since she knows 4 languages and picked up on bits of Russian pretty easily
-A problem solver/puzzle solver
-Doesn’t know when to shut up
-Very forgetful
-Very creative, because she has so many ideas all the time and it’s very hard for her to put them into words
-I bet she loves painting, because she loves really focusing on the colours that go well with each other, as well as mixing all sorts of types of mediums together
-She loves to get her hands in there and finger paint on her pieces, and prefers making abstract art that shows how she feels
-If she creates drawings or pictures that aren’t abstract, it’s rarely about how the (for example) people, look in the pictures, it’s more about the story that it’s trying to tell
-Sleeps a lot
-Her style is pretty colourful and confident, and a little on the androgynous side
-Her head is usually in the clouds so it could be a little difficult to make Robin responsible
-She can be extremely empathetic but is a lot better at being sympathetic and cheering people up
Verdict: Pisces if I’ve ever seen one Birthday: 10th March [Just like Maya :)]
Eddie
Extrovert: Despite his appearance, I think he actually prefers to be around people than alone. He’s very confident and has no issues with being around the Hellfire gang a lot of the time. If he’s alone for too long he gets sad and bored.
Love Language: Touch and Quality time, or more specifically, attention. Listen to him talk about his new DnD campaign and stroke his hair. He didn’t have parents growing up he needs to be listened to and hugged.
-Words make him a little uncomfortable sometimes.
-Loves music, loves fidgeting, loves doodling, loves twiddling his hair (like the little babygirl he is)
-Uses his hands a lot to talk too
-Clearly, incredibly confident in himself
-Is the first one to call out bullshit if he sees it (cafeteria scene)
-Not only doesn’t care what people think, but also is pretty okay with being known as the weirdo
-He’s always felt like an outsider so rather than being offended by the term, it’s grown with him
-He dresses in a very niche way that he’s developed, meaning he wears the same outfits repeatedly
-Surprisingly, doesn’t need external validation for big things, but little things
-Like when he’s talking to Steve about Ozzy Osbourne, while Steve isn’t answering, Eddie is a little uncomfortable and him not answering so he just keeps talking
-Tends to ramble to fill the silence
-Is so confident in himself he’s willing to make a fool of himself to make someone else comfortable (Chrissy, canon)
-Not a huge fan of eye contact
-Loves his tattoos
-Runs away from his problems (canon)
-Can’t do anything scared
-I think he’s not good at half-assing things. I reckon the reason he did badly in school is that he either really wanted to do well and tried really hard or didn’t really try at all
-Loves his found family so much, would die for them (canon lol)
-Slightly gets along better with younger people than him
-Struggles to find himself around his peers
-Of course incredibly creative, from his music to his stories to his storytelling, he’s a big ball of fantasy
-He daydreams all the time, and loves reading fantasy books
-A pretty boy with big brown eyes and dark hair which could only mean…
Verdict: Scorpio 100% Birthday: November 2nd
I thought Eddie might be an Aquarius, but my friend said "A Scorpio is just an Aquarius in a leather jacket" FJDKSFJ

So it seems like everyone who has been vecna’d so far has a secret/thing they feel guilt and self-loathing over. (Chrissy bulimia, Fred the guy in the car, Max Billy, etc.) So thought experiment: who in our Scooby gang has something they’d feel GUILTY about? It doesn’t seem like to me it would be something we the audience have never been given any kind of clue over. So like I just can’t think of anything for say, Dustin - if he is harboring anything that serious, we have never been tipped off about it. Lucas either. Ericka no (not enough screen time to even say). Steve MAYBE Barb but he doesn’t seem to feel how Nancy does about that, and we already have it happening for Nancy anyway. So for me I am left with Will (ugh my poor gay son, and possible guilt about upside down connections), Mike (internalized homophobia/not being able to love El the way she wants him to? Something else? It’s so hard to know what’s going on in his head), El for her fear she’s just someone who hurts people etc etc, and Jonathan (his secret from Nancy, though it doesn’t seem quite that dire to me)…….that’s it? So 4 of them, excluding Nancy and Max who it’s already happening to. Agree? Disagree? Did I forget someone who would qualify based on what we know? (P.S. Robin also could have gay-related trauma ig but idk she seems the healthiest to me, like she is only worried about society’s perceptions rather than wrestling with accepting herself personally.)
i literally never realized chrissy’s was bulimia omg i thought she was throwing up from panicking after having a vision and her trauma was just an abusive mom wow that went right over my head.
anywho yeah i think the only other logical vecna subjects are will and mike because like you said theres not much trauma that we know of for anyone else, and i really think the audience would be aware of the trauma instead of just randomly revealing that one of them is severely suffering from something. the only way it could be something we “dont know” is mike if thats how they reveal hes gay but thats been implied so its not like that would come from no where.
i made this post talking about why i think mike is more likely be to vecna’d than will because most of wills trauma is upside down related and vecna seems to torment with more human trauma. he also tortures with guilt and shame. nancy and max both feel guilty for barb and billy and chrissy probably felt shame for her ed. i dont think will feels any shame or guilt for what he went through because its something that happened to him, not something that he did. he has severe ptsd but because he was a victim not because of guilt.
mike is completely different. he definitely feels guilt and shame from his internalized homophobia. he probably feels guilty that hes been lying to el and not breaking up with her and he feels ashamed that he loves will instead of her. hes a perfect target for vecna.
the only thing holding me back is the fact that finn said he only met jamie bower a couple times. but maybe he is cursed just not completely? like he has the visions but isnt actually greeted with vecna.
i hope its him instead of will because if its will its probably related to liking mike but we already know that. it would be so much better to make it mike. and i dont think will feels nearly as guilty for loving mike and being gay than mike does so it would make more sense.
it would be SUCH a great way to reveal it to the audience because to anybody whos like “what the hell this came outta nowhere” the vision could show flashbacks of all the moments that they missed. that unreciprocated kiss at the end of s3, “its not my fault you dont like girls”, soft moments with will like “crazy together” and the hand hold, will telling him that its scary to open up to people, not being able to tell el he loves her. it would really make them be like “oh holly shit” and they need that moment. god itd be so good i want it so bad.

What do you think that we might see in season five of Stranger Things? What would you like to see?
Eddie.
Sorry, sorry; @typicalopposite said it'd be funny and I can't say I disagree... but I also wanted to give an actual answer along the lines of my usual ones, so! Here goes:
I predict that Max will wake up (and I hope she does). Joyce and Hopper seem to be heading towards having their date actually happen, so I kinda hope that'll take place (though it'd probably be in one of the soft, around-the-edges moments at the end if so). I predict/hope that Erica will have a decent role in the season, as I absolutely love her. I hope that LuMax have some happier moments to make up for the absolute devastation of last season. (I confess that I'm not deadset on this one, as I have a bit of a contentious relationship with Lucas... I love Caleb's acting, but the character is very much not one of my favorites.)
I don't have many predictions about the state of the season's actual conflict, but I agree with most of the speculation that I've seen about Will getting Vecna'd. There's a definite connection there, at any rate, so there will likely be something similar happening, even if it's not exactly the "Vecna-ing" we saw in s4. Due to what I'm about to say in the next paragraph, I could also see Mike getting Vecna'd, for similar reasons as the above. To be honest, though, I have fewer predictions about the conflict that might arise than other people probably do; I'm more a character-analysis kinda person than a plot-analysis one.
I, personally, think that Byler is going to be realized. I'm not really a hardcore Byler shipper --- it's not one of my top ships, and I don't obsess over it the way I tend to fixate on others --- but I certainly ship them together in a passive way (e.g. I certainly think that there's reciprocated affection there). And I've seen enough clues --- in the acting, the writing, the cinematography (my beloved), etc. --- that I think there's at least a good chance that it'll happen. I hope it does, even though I don't have a personal investment in it; not only do I hope it happens for all the many people who are invested in it happening, but I also think it's what would do justice to the storyline as it's been developed and to a large portion of the viewership. (And those who would be offended by it going canon are, imo, no big loss). Also, Will deserves all the happiness, and, if he thinks that's Mike, then I hope Byler becomes canon.
And as for what I want to see but recognize it might not happen:
I hope that El gets a decent character arc. I've heard theories/requests that she is going to/should die, and just??? What? Why? I mean, she's another character that I don't tend to like much --- again, acting is good; character is not my favorite --- but she deserves better than she's gotten. She definitely deserves happiness, and I very much hope that her happiness comes in the form of her own happiness and not a relationship. I think Milven is unhealthy, and she deserves better. I want to see more of the friendship --- or, if you prefer, romance, but I, personally, see it more as a friendship --- between El and Max. And I hope deeply that she doesn't just get shoehorned into some fate that isn't good for her.
I was torn on whether to put this up in "I think it will happen" or not, and I don't really know where it belongs; my inclination towards pessimism knocked it down here, though: I hope that Robin gets to have a good, well-developed relationship blossom. Sapphic relationships are few and far between, and I only rarely see well-developed ones; also, I love Robin and she deserves happiness. s4 makes me a bit leery that this will happen, though, I must confess. (Also, I've seen compelling stuff for both Rockie and Ronance, so I really don't know which I prefer.) I just want her happy!
I hope that Steve does not get together with Nancy. Indeed, for the most part, I hope he doesn't end up in a relationship at all. (There's one exception to follow in the paragraph below.) I've said many times that he and Robin are chaotic platonic soulmates and I stand by it; additionally, he's got a better family than ever before in Dustin and the others. All of these relationships are better than sticking him with some random love interest --- or, worse, making him "crawl backwards" to Nancy --- and... idk, I don't know how to put it into words, but I mostly hope that he just has a happy life with his found family and doesn't get stuffed into some romance for the sake of a romance that wouldn't do justice to his character.
And, finally, to follow the Duffers' leads and finish with a callback to where I started: I definitely want Eddie to come back, and I very much hope that, if he does come back, he doesn't then die again right after. I admit that I haven't seen much lately about how he might come back, so I don't know if what I'm about to say is still accurate, but... the Kas theory seemed pretty compelling --- especially given the Netflix icon release --- and there's definitely a pretty easy avenue for that to happen without then killing him. (Explaining what I mean takes six paragraphs, so I'm not going to go into it here; luckily, the reason I know how long it takes is because I already made a post to that effect! So, click here if you're interested!) Also, I have my own personal desire for how that could happen --- I just described it in a post here --- and I just think it'd be Very Cool. (Also, if this happens, even the intellectual fear that it likely won't happen can't stop my heart from hoping that Steddie becomes a thing.)
I hope that's a decent answer to your question! Thank you!

canon questionare. / @bloodymoonxvampire / ACCEPTING!        ↳  13.  Are there any other characters from the franchise you’d like to play?
Tumblr media
        ||. Yaknow, I’ve been considering picking up one of the lettuce fam? Maybe Seteth. I doubt I will though. Come August I’ll only have the energy for 1 muse. And that should be Byleth. But when I was first considering applying I was also turning in my head Dimitri and Rhea lol. I’m so glad I went with my gut! seirosu and areadri are such wonderful partners. The entire castmates list from FE16 are so wonderful, I couldn’t ask for anyone better ;;v;;       OUTSIDE of FE16? Robin. Hands down male robin. He is lingering in the back of my head like the little vessel of an evil dragon-creation boi is. I just... you know. Have to get through the actual rest of Awakening first. RIP
↳  11. Are there some things you dislike about how the show/series/etc. portray the character you have picked up? If so, what?
Tumblr media
            ||. Not especially? At least not in the classic sense. Unfortunately, one thing about Byleth being robbed of her voice proper is that a lot of what makes her interesting gets overlooked and swept under the rug. Or misconstrued entirely. Or overshadowed to make way for the infamous (and equally as misused) “player pandering” complaint. Basically what I mean is that her actions/dialogue are either left too vague, or in the case of CF versus every other route,  not explained at all so it doesn’t make a lot of sense — at first. I’ll try to give an example of each. 1. Overlooked          ↳  Byleth’s being a silent protagonist means her efforts to sway her respective lord (not counting SS. She is the lord of that route. God Bless You Seteth you wonderful retainer.) tends to get pushed to the side bc.... “player pandering”, supposedly. (Which is different from what I’ll mention later, promise.) The most I see this come up is with Azure Moon and her influence on Dimitri. Most people say Byleth did absolutely nothing and didn’t deserve to have the last word when it comes to Dimitri’s character arc. I vehemently disagree with this. Player character she may be, but that doesn’t stop her from consistently talking to him during the map exploration days, disagreeing with him during event-cutscenes, and ultimately being the exact person Dimitri needs to hear from to finally live for himself. Felix can’t do it, because Felix isn’t over his own Dimitri-related Trauma (and his dad just died for Dimitri so he’d be especially harsh about.) Rodrigue (Felix’s DAD) is dead, Gilbert (Dimi’s other surrogate dad &. retainer)  can’t stand up to Dimitri for crap and Dedue is too complacent. Not to mention, too, that in every. single. support, event, etc. between Dimitri and Byleth tthe narrative is building up to their moment in the rain. Their Goddess Tower may be optional (which I think in this case is dumb), but when the comment of     “No matter how hard someone begs to be saved, she would never so much as offer her hand. And even if she did, we lack the means to reach out and grasp it.“     Is paid off with  not ONE. but TWO SCENES??? Cos. You know. She IS the goddess. She’s RIGHT THERE. She cares and she’s standing right by one of the 2 people who need her the most out of this entire cast. (The other being El)            Yeah sorry but Byleth not only is her own character but she is a necessary one. And it is done WELL in AM at least, from a writing perspective.
2. Misconstrued         ↳  For... some reason there’s a very... commonplace hot-take that Byleth dislikes the Church, and Rhea, doesn’t care for the doctrine whatsoever and her absolutely loathes her destiny as goddess inheritor. I... genuinely don’t understand that... because 3/4 of her routes are Byleth being pro!church. She may be desperate for answers, and she may be consumed with an intense bout of imposter syndrome , and I would say, yes, she does harbor some misgivings towards Rhea for pushing it all onto her the way she has (and really only then when she thinks about it too long.) but... again. 3/4 routes are pro!church. She either becomes the Archbishop, becomes Queen and does NOT get rid of the church. In the case of CF - the only route where she is not pro!church - she ends up wandering aimlessly in her solo card unless you romance Edelgard or one of the others so... yay? I guess? (Also note: in every route where she ascends to a position of leadership she does go out of her way to help reform the church. It’s explicitly stated a couple of different times.)       TLDR with this one: her lack of voice means her opinions and consistent character traits can and will be up to the respective player to pick and choose from. Even someone who tries to be entirely impartial to bias ultimately will fall into this trap, myself included. (I do try, however, to genuinely keep an open mind to each route. She’s the same person in all of them, so I actually found the challenge of “how to get to CF” a ... difficult but satisfying challenge. You can read those thoughts HERE.)
3. Player Pandering       ↳  This one is about actual instances of player pandering, but there are some decisions you can make in the game that are... kinda strange in context. Romancing Rhea, for one. Like. Actually romancing her, instead of having her S support be... you  know. parental. Or something. Being entirely unable to constantly question Edelgard’s motives in the CF route despite the fact that there’s a chance that people might not play El’s route first, OR maybe only stumbled into the CF route on HAPPENSTANCE rather than by deliberate choice. There are plenty players who might actually like the church, and not necessarily want to lean into the whole “villain route” thing. (For that matter the player pandering in this case leaves it all to outside NPCs to  remind you that. yes. it’s the villain route. I love El because it’s the villain route. She’s wonderful when she’s nuanced.)         There’s probably plenty instances  in AM and VW but it’‘s been a year or so since I’ve played both routes so I can’t confidently give examples but. You get the point.

Fire Emblem Engage Thoughts
So, I finished Engage, and while I will probably sit on some ideas for a bit and maybe one day do another playthrough, these are just some of my initial thoughts on the game. Which, from my understanding, aren't all that different from the general consensus I've seen so far
The Good
The gameplay is a heck of a lot of fun. Interesting maps, the break mechanic is super fun to use, and well, it's Fire Emblem, so of course it's fun.
Most of the cast are quite charming and the supports can be nice, if you can actually get them. Some of the standouts for me were Yunaka (best girl), Alcryst, Timerra, Lapis, Panette, Rosado, Veyle, Mauvier, and Jade. But there were others who I wanted to get to know more but didn't have the chance to
Using the Rings is pretty fun and a neat little power boost
You can adopt every animal you see and it's great
The Somniel is gorgeous and it's nice that you can see characters actually using the various parts of it, like sometimes they're swimming or fishing or singing, it's cute
Sommie. He's perfect
The Bad
I saw someone compare the plot to Power Rangers and uh, yeah I can't disagree. I like Power Rangers, but it is a kids show, and this game's story is about as complex as that. That's not necessarily a bad thing...but it doesn't really work
I have no idea why, but they made getting supports for characters way more difficult. Now characters only build supports when attacking next to each other, so no points build up on the enemy's turn which is half of the battle. There were several supports that I wanted to see that I just couldn't get this time around
Most of the minigames in the Somniel are...not great
Why does the game insist on giving the bad guys attempted sympathetic qualities moments before they die? There are like two of the bad guys that are horrible, abusive monsters, and the game tries really hard to make you feel bad about them as they die but like, they were so horribly bad that I just didn't care at that point. If they wanted me to feel sympathy for them, they should have either tried to seed it in earlier, or just made them not utterly terrible the rest of the game
For a game that wants you to spend a lot of gold, they sure as hell do not give you any and I was so strapped for cash the whole game. Maybe that was intentional, but it wasn't fun
Why do the extra skirmishes scale with level? I wish that they were like in Awakening where they scaled on location. That way, it would actually be possible to level up weaker units instead of leaving over half of my army in the dust
The Ugly
Such a strange complaint, but the UI is nonsense. Why are the supports in a sub menu? It also just looks kind of ugly
The character designs aren't great. I've seen them compared to gacha games and, yeah... I doesn't help that every female character looks super young, except Saphir who looks like she's 60 when she's apparently 35? It doesn't make any sense
The Undecided/Average
I'm not sure how I feel about Alear as a main character. It's nice that they are fully voiced, but maybe it's just a me thing, but I didn't really connect with them as much as I did other Avatars. I realize that it's not a common sentiment but I actually really connected with both Robin and Byleth, though I'd need a whole other post to explain that more. And even if I didn't personally connect with them as much, I still feel like I enjoyed Corrin and Shez more. Maybe if I play the game again I'll feel a stronger connection, but it just wasn't there this time. Also, why can't they turn into a dragon? They're the literal child of a dragon! Such a shame
The thing is, I liked the game, but I also found it to be pretty, middling. It's like the exact middle of my Fire Emblem list. Enjoyable, but not something I'm gonna obsess over like I do with Awakening, Three Houses, Sacred Stones, or Path of Radiance
I think it may be because I value the story and characters of an FE game more than the combat. It's harder to get invested in the combat when I don't vibe as much with the world and the people in it

Damian Acting Like A Teenager? Impossible.
When Damian entered the halls of Gotham Academy, the first thing he notices was the change in the dark atmosphere. It felt oddly kinder and more lighthearted. Everywhere he turns, there are whispers focus around the new girl. At first, he didn’t care about the gossip, well, that was until he met her.
It was an unusual encounter, something that he would look down on.
It was the passing period, and she was running down the halls in a hurry as he was walking to his next class, one that he didn’t particularly care for; they bump into each other, causing a standstill in the halls. Everyone wondered how the dark prince would react to their newly dubbed princess of sunshine. They expected a yelling match, which, of course, occurred, but what they didn’t expect was an eventual best of the worst of alliance ever made.
Several months passed since the two had met and several weeks since the blooming of Damian and Marinette’s friendship, and not a single student could say that there weren’t surprised.
The moment Marinette had broken down any (and all) walls that the boy had placed, she was able to make the stoic teen become his age. It started small with a joke here and there; then it progressed into card games followed by video games. To this day, Damian swears that he’ll beat her at a shooting game at one point, to which Marinette would respond with a laugh and an over-the-shoulder wink. The young Wayne swears that he has never blush a day in his life, but the photographic proof on Marinette’s phone says otherwise.
The school soon became accustomed to being Daminette’s playground. At first, the teachers were opposed to the idea, but after seeing how slightly more open Damian has become, they slowly agreed to the concept of allowing the duo to have less strict rules. That and they didn't want to be sued by the Wayne family.
Which now brings us to this moment: Marinette swings on a swing set while Damian practices his form with a katana; don’t ask how he managed to get it past security-- cause there is no answer.
“You know, maybe we should do something wild?” Marinette thinks aloud, looking up to the sky with a mischief smirk on her lips.
Damian doesn’t turn to her; he only sets the blade down to his side. “What mayhem do you have in mind?”
Marinette giggles uncontrollably.
Let’s assume that whatever Marinette had in mind would rule the yearbooks for years to come.
~☾★☽~
Since his partnership with Marinette, Damian has been hiding his characteristic change at home. Surprisingly, it was simple. A few death threats here and there, maybe sneaking out moments every so often. No one at the Wayne cared enough to pay any attention to it. It only then became a shock when Damian left for school along the lines of being late. Alfred had offered to take him to school to which Damian declined and got onto his “normal” motorcycle and speeds off.
“Does anyone else seem to think that Damian is acting strange?” Dick asks, pipping his head down from the ceiling. He’s on the chandelier again. Poor Alfred, maybe Dick should dust the chandelier for him as an apology.
Tim walks in with a large, filled to the brim, coffee mug in hand, “Which one?” He absently wonders, taking a long sip. The dark circles and bags around his eyes explain it all.
“I do concur with Master Richard; the young master has been acting somewhat strange for quite some time now.” Alfred appears out of nowhere, thus starting an array of concerns.
It wasn’t long before Jason came in shouting demands with the head of the household trailing behind him. Alfred reprimands Jason for the yelling as he hands Bruce a cup of coffee.
Not caring enough about the conversation and looking like a madman, Jason shouts, “Look, I can’t explain it, but we’re going to need Demon Spawn for something huge.”
“Uh, why would we need Baby Bird?” Dick asks, dropping onto the floor and twisting his body. “Not that I don’t mind getting Damian involved.”
“Look, there’s no time to explain,” Jason facepalms and begins to push everyone towards the door despite the lack of proper wear they have on.
After several protests and one change of clothes, the Wayne household now stands in front of the gates of Gotham Academy.
“Is it me, or does this place look less you know Gotham-y and full of life?” Tim ponders, narrowing his eyes, as he takes a long sip from a to-go coffee cup with Red Robin’s emblem.
“No, no, Timmy, I see it too.” Dick whispers as Jason struts past the gates and onto the school’s property like a man on a mission.
Bruce sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose, “Come on, let’s go get your brother so Jason can stop being Jason.”
Tim shrugs before passing the gates himself, with Dick following him.
Upon entering the school, they could immediately see that it was either a passing period or free time from the number of students in the halls. Some student dared to pull out their phones while other whispers amongst themselves.
Bruce makes his way to the attendance office, where the attendance assistant, Joyce, resides sitting at the desk.
“Hello Joyce, I’m here to pick up Damian. He has a, uh, dentist appointment this evening.” Bruce speaks, hoping that she wouldn’t catch the lie.
“Well Mr. Wayne, Damian is, uh…” After lingering in her thoughts, Joyce turns to someone besides her. “Do you know where Damian Wayne would be at today?”
“Try the art room.” A feminine voice answers, followed by a series of typing noises.
Joyce turns back to the Wayne family and smiles, “He should be in the art room; it’s down the hall to your right, you should not miss it, as it’s in the only hallway that has a series of artwork posted on the walls. Before you go, please sign here."
Joyce hands Bruce a sign-out sheet, to which the man signs and ushers his wards to search for his youngest.
“They’re so screwed.” The same feminine voice speaks, causing Joyce to break out laughing.
It took a total of four different locations for the men to find the youngest Wayne.
First, they went to the art room like Joyce’s co-worker told them to do.
When they got there, Damian wasn't there, but the teacher did show Bruce a couple of Damian's artworks. Bruce couldn't help but feel proud.
While looking around the room, one of the art students told them they last saw Damian playing Pokémon Go near the gym; he was trying to catch a legendary Pokémon that spawned there.
So, of course, after an awkward eye contact with one another, they walk to the gym. Once again, Damian wasn’t there but a different student in his stead. He tells them that Damian was making ice sculptures out of ice cream at the cafeteria. The student then goes on to explain that Damian had some wicked skills with a knife.
Jason, with wide eyes, practically shouted at the student that he was crazy and that Damian would never, and he means NEVER would do something that stupid. The student shrugs it off like it was an everyday occurrence. It was Dick that had to hold Jason back from thrashing the teen. Bruce then apologizes to the instructor for their disturbance, as Tim walks casually behind Dick carrying Jason.
By the time they got to the cafeteria, it was damn near empty aside from a few students still eating. There were no signs of ice cream or the tools that would go into making an ice sculpture. Tim had to ask a few students to see if Damian was in here at some point in time. One of the workers overheard the question and answered him. Evidently, Damian was there earlier making sculptures out of ice cream before handing it out to students.
When they asked the question that has been slowly driving the four insane, the worker replies with: “Upstairs racing on these old colorful scooter board down the halls."
After three locations and no Damian, Tim wanted nothing more but to have a mental breakdown, and he would have if it wasn’t for Bruce holding him up and taking his coffee away.
So, they quickly found themselves on the second level of the school. There was no sight of Damian Wayne, though there were wheel tracks smudged into the flooring.
“Are you kidding me?” Jason shouts out into the ceiling. Thankfully, there were no students in the halls to hear it. Well, that might have been the case if it wasn’t for a teacher to open their door and shh the male. It took every bone in Jason's body not to show the teacher his middle finger.
After a beat of silence and walking down the hall, they overhear a familiar voice.
“Angel, you are desperately in the wrong here. The bear only wears one color, so it has to the color red.” Jason stops dead in his tracks and turns to railings.
The voice was too good to be true.
Looking over the staircase, they find an alcove, and sitting in it is none other than Damian Wayne himself, but he’s not alone.
“I’m telling you, Wayne. Pooh’s favorite color is yellow.” The female answers before taping her fingers as she makes her points, “He loves honey, which is by default a yellow color. He's never seen with a yellow background, and if yellow didn't clash with his fur, he would definitely be wearing it.”
“I disagree. Winnie the Pooh has been drawn on numerous of occasions with red items, not yellow. Case in point, the red balloon, his shirt." He counters. The conversation continues with banters and statements; whether it was true or false is up to debate.
This was not happening.
Tim.exe has stopped working.
Jason.exe has stopped working.
Jaws dropped, a low groaning sound.
They cannot be witnessing this. The most deadliest of the Wayne’s is currently arguing about Winnie, the motherfucking, Pooh’s favorite color.
Bruce has no words. He's practically in the same stance as his middle children. Dick, on the other hand, pulls out his phone and begins to record what remains of the conversation.
No one dares to move or utter out words. This version of Damian is the apocalypse. Nothing in the world is okay.
Slowly, the four Waynes exit the school; no one saw them leave.
Legend has it that Damian never went home that day despite being excused from his classes. When he had returned home, his family didn't utter a word to him. He was meet with either a profusely blinking, unwanted hug or laughter, as they were still in shock at what they just encountered. It wasn’t until a couple of months later that all hell breaks loose. Damian had introduced the family to Marinette.

Late Night Trips (Day 3: Bats)
This is a continuation of Day 2. Read it here
Marinette walks around the Halloween section of the store, giggling into her phone.
“I don’t know why you’re so against it!” She teases, adding a bag of bat window clings to her little basket, despite Jason’s grumbling on the other end of the phone.
“Because the vigilantes are known as the Bats, M. Just feels weird for our windows to be covered in tiny bats.” He grumbles, and she snorts, glad that he can’t see the way her face reddens when he refers to the windows as theirs. Sure, he hadn’t officially moved in, but he stayed at her place more than the manor lately. She loved it.
“Okay, Jay, if it really upsets you that much, I won’t get them.” She promises, taking the bats back out of her basket. She really did think they were cute though, but she didn’t want to make him uncomfortable.
“We could get ghosts or pumpkins instead.” Jason suggests and she grins, switching the bats out with the ghosts.
“Hmmm, the ghosts have top hats, so I’m definitely sticking with those.” She says. There’s silence on the other end of the line. “Jay?”
“Marinette, are you at the store right now?” He asks, and she can hear the concern in his voice.
“Yeah, but I’m at the little one down the street. I’ll be fine, Jason.” She reassured him. She loved him, she did, but he got way too paranoid about her going out at night sometimes. Sure that was when more Rogues and criminals were active, but she could take care of herself. Which she clearly showed him last weekend when she punched that stupid Scarecrow in the face.
“I- please, M. Just, please be careful.” He says, not lecturing her like he’d half expected.
“I will be, promise. See you when you get home.” She says. He worked nights most of the time, but she was still able to see him since she kind of made her own hours when she was working on commissions. Or, she just stayed up all day and night. It was honestly a coin toss.
“I love you.” He says, and her smile widens.
“Love you too.” She says, hanging up and heading to the registers. She quickly checks out and leaves, pulling her jacket closer as she steps out into the cold night. That was the only thing she didn’t love about Gotham. The cold. Once the sun was down, it was like it was winter, no matter the time of year. Sighing, she continues her walk back to the apartment, careful to make sure she stays aware of her surroundings. Sure, she could fight off a mugger, but she didn’t necessarily want to. She just wanted to get home and half a nice cup of coffee. Or hot chocolate. Something warm. She hums under her breath, almost to the apartment, when the hairs on the back of her neck stand up. Immediately, she tenses. She starts to move a little faster, grimacing as she hears the footsteps behind her quicken as well. Of course the streets are empty. She’s the only one stupid enough to actually be out this late. Crap. She yelps in surprise as the person- man, she realizes- that had been following her grabs her wrist and twists her around.
“Come on sweetheart, doncha wanna spend some time with me.” The man says, tugging her close and letting his reeking breath pour over her face. She grimaces.
“No thank you.” She says, trying to tug her wrist away from the man. His eyes narrow and his grip tightens, more than she’d been expecting. He turns them so that they’re just inside the alley instead of on the open street. Oh hell no.
“C’mon babe-” He starts before she cuts him off with a punch in the face. He groans in surprise and stumbles slightly, still not letting go of her wrist. “If that’s how ya wanna be.” He says, his eyes darkening. She huffs and drops her bags, bringing her knee up and kneeing him in just the right place. He doubles over and lets go of her wrist. Now having both hands, she’s able to grab him (he’s too busy groaning in pain) and ram his head into the wall. He crumples almost instantly and she lets out a huff. So maybe Jason was right and she shouldn’t go shopping so late at night. But he didn’t have to know about this, right?
“Are you alright ma’am?” A voice asks. She whirls around, her fists up in defense until she sees who it is. She sighs and relaxes her posture.
“Hello Nightwing. Um, yeah, yeah I’m fine.” She says, glancing at the man on the ground. “Though, I’d feel a bit better if you had something we could tie him up with.”
“Of course. Robin?” He says, and she blinks in surprise as a hero who couldn’t be older than fifteen steps out of the shadows. Obviously she’d done her research on the heroes, but she was still a little taken aback to see a teenager in costume again. She just nods at him in thanks as he pulls out...zip ties? And cuffs the man’s hands behind his back.
“You were quite efficient in taking the man down. We approached just as you got out of his grip.” Robin says, and she smiles awkwardly.
“Yeah, uh, there were villains in Paris when I was a kid so I had to learn some basic self defense.” She says, not telling them everything, but not exactly lying either.
“Still, you know it’s really dangerous to be out this late at night, right? Even for someone who took down Scarecrow as well as you did.” Nightwing says and she flinches back, frowning.
“Uh, sorry, that day is a little fuzzy. Were you there?” She asks. Sure, Red Robin could’ve just told the others, but the look on his face? How he said it? Makes it seem like he’d actually seen the fight.
“No, but we watched the body cam footage from Red Robin.” Nightwing says with a wide smile.
“Mon Dieu.” She mumbles, shaking her head. She could tell Jason that some of the Bats thought she was a good fighter, but then she’d have to admit what happened tonight. And she really didn’t want him to worry any more than he already does.
“We will assist you in getting home once the police arrive to pick up this cretin.” Robin says, and she puffs her cheeks out, trying to figure out a nice way to tell them ‘thanks but no thanks’. If they had to wait around for the police, there was a chance Jason would be home by the time they got there.
“I’m sure I can get home just fine by myself.” She reassures them, and Nightwing frowns.
“Probably, but it would be kinda rude of us to send you along after something like this and not make sure you made it home safe.” He says. She sighs.
“Look, is there any way you can follow from the roofs or something? If you guys escort me home and my boyfriend is there, I’m gonna have to look at him and tell him he’s right and I shouldn’t go to the store late at night and he’s gonna panic and freak out that I could’ve been hurt which is super sweet, but then he’s not gonna be overprotective for a week and that makes it hard on him because then he doesn’t concentrate at work and I know he thinks I don’t notice but every time I get hurt, he comes home from work hurt and I know it’s because he’s distracted and I hate seeing him hurt and-” She rambles, only stopping when Nightwing puts a hand over her mouth. Her eyes widen in surprise and she winces in apology.
“We’ll trail you, but you should still probably tell him.” He says softly, and she frowns, nodding. This was gonna suck.
---
Marinette waves at the roof of the building across the street before walking into the building and heading up to the apartment. She can hear the low hum of the tv, letting her know Jason is already home. She takes in a deep breath before unlocking the door and walking in.
“Hey M.” Jason calls from the couch, a smile on his face. She smiles back, silently noting that his smile doesn’t reach his eyes. He was either fighting with his dad again, or something went wrong at work. And now she was about to drop the whole ‘I took down a guy who tried to yank me into an alley’ thing on him. She sets her bags on the table and kicks her shoes off before walking over and sitting on the couch, instantly curling into his side. They sit in a comfortable silence for a few minutes and she relaxes.
“You okay?” He asks softly, and she sighs, sitting up and looking at him, wringing her hands together.
“So, don’t freak out.” She says, and he frowns. “Um, you were right about the whole shopping at night in Gotham thing.” She says, thankful that he seems to understand immediately.
“Are you hurt?” He asks, eyes scanning her, pausing on her wrist. She frowns. Her wrist was definitely currently hidden by her sleeve, how did he know it was bruised? She sighs and pushes her sleeves up, grinning at him awkwardly.
“Just a little bruise.” She says, and he frowns.
“A little- Marinette, that bruise is all around your wrist. Are you sure it’s not broken?” He asks worriedly.
“I’m sure, I know what broken bones feel like. I’m a clutz, remember?” She teases, smiling softly at him. She breathes a sigh of relief when he wraps his arms around her and pulls her close. He shifts so that he’s practically laying on the couch, moving her so that she’s laying on top of him.
“I’m sorry I wasn’t there.” He mumbles. She rolls her eyes, burying herself into his chest.
“I’m fine, Jay. I won’t go shopping so late next time. Besides, some of the Bats showed up.” She says, giggling at his scoff.
“As if those idiots did anything.” He snarks.
“I mean, Nightwing and Robin both commented on my fighting skills.” She teases, laughing as he reaches up and turns her face to look at him.
“M, Marinette, love of my life, what exactly did Robin say?” He asks and her face heats up at how easily he calls her the love of his life. Did he mean it?
“Uh, something about being efficient in taking the man down?” She says, finding it hard to think with how intense Jason’s stare was. He laughs, a wide smile on his face.
“Ya know, Robin is supposedly the least easily impressed. Apparently he can be a bit of a pain.” He says and she grins before laying back down.
“Well then, at least we know I can take care of myself.” She says, feeling him sigh. He doesn’t disagree though, just kisses the top of her head. Warm and safe, she slowly drifts off to sleep.

BONUS
Jason smirks as he walks into the Batcave the next night.
“So Demon Spawn, my girlfriend is an efficient fighter?” He asks. Damian scowls.
“Shut it, Todd. Just because I think she is an efficient fighter does not mean that I believe you are.” He says and Jason snorts. “Don’t laugh Todd, I truly believe that she could knock you on your ass.”
“Language, Little D.” Dick says, walking in with his suit on, but mask off. “He does have a point though. I think she could probably hold her own against any of us, even for a couple minutes.” Jason just grins widely. Oh yeah, his girlfriend was a badass.

What do you think about the theories that Jason was sexually abused as a child? Or even possibly while he was comatose after his resurrection?
Implications of this theory include his conversation with Mia (Speedy) and Bruce's message (Battle for the Cowl). In addition, when he was Robin he expressed what was then considered uncharacteristic rage towards the perpetrators of sex crimes.
Garzonas - unrepentant rapist who got no consequences
When a woman killed her sister's rapist and murderer (because Batman's evidence was not admissible in court), Batman said that she went too far with murder. Jason's disagreed with "Good riddance". Good for you, Jason.
His recklessness when dealing with a child sex trafficking ring.
I highly doubt that DC would ever confirm this theory. I would rather they leave it ambiguous because I don't trust them to not botch Jason... much less respectfully address the subject matter.
I have read so many thoughts on Jason that they're starting to blend together. So I apologize if you've already answered this before.
Hello friend! Aside from the fact that I took way too much time to answer your ask, this was also a hard question to come up with an answer to, I wanted to remain respectful of the subjects at hand even though I don’t second this headcanon. But before we keep going, let me put some trigger warnings in this post.
trigger warning: mentions of sexual abuse, child abuse, rape.
First, I would like to bring up these two concepts because I oftentimes mix them up when talking about these “ideas”.
Theory: a supposition or a system of ideas intended to explain something; an idea used to account for a situation or justify a course of action.
Headcanon: Headcanon generally refers to ideas held by fans of series that are not explicitly supported by sanctioned text or other media. Fans maintain the ideas in their heads, outside of the accepted canon.
I think the idea of Jason having been sexually abused at any point in his lifetime is a mix between a theory and a headcanon. Why I am saying this? Because as you have put in the ask, there has been instances where fandom has found pieces of information that they have considered the base of this idea.
So, if we say that there is a piece of text that might support that idea and they build from that to justify a course of action we would be looking at a theory. In this case Jason having been abused would the reason as to why he acts in that strong and violent way towards cases of sexual abuse/harassment.
In the other hand those pieces of text might not support that idea so fandom headcanons that idea in order to build another layer to a character, in this case Jason having been abused would also justify his actions towards certain criminals.
The “text” (panels, issues, mentions) are most of the time ambiguous, which makes readers have different perspectives in what is being written and what then is made into a theory or headcanon.
Personally, I don’t like this theory or headcanon for various reasons (which I will explain later in the post), and I have read and understood those moments mentioned as Jason just having survived Crime Alley as something general, I don’t think he suffered that kind of abuse but I think he was made aware of that type of behaviour every day that he spent alone in the streets and that why we saw Jason in Batman #408 saying that he had “graduated a long time ago from the streets of crime alley”.
Having said that, I do understand that some of the moments mentioned can be seen as ambiguous and that’s what leads people to theorize/headcanon that idea, because of that I would like to show the panels mentioned in your ask so everyone can read them and make up their own conclusions and then I will talk about the reasons why I don’t like this particular theory/headcanon.
As Robin:
Batman (1940) #422
Tumblr media
In these panels we can see Jason as Robin jumping in to defend a woman that was being attacked by a man. There I only see Jason acting like a vigilante would, maybe he was hitting too hard or whatever but Batman has hit people as much as Jason was doing it this time around, plus I, personally, don’t see any kind of problem with Jason beating a man that was harassing and threatening a woman with death.
Right beside we have Jason being on the side of the woman that killed her sister’s attacker. He didn’t see any problem with that woman seeking justice for her sister on her own when the police, Batman and himself couldn’t get the job done.
Here I see Jason having a big problem with authorities and justice system, which is not something new, in Batman #408, Jason says very clearly that he doesn’t trust the system in Gotham (the police, social workers and such), and he was also shown in that comic talking very fondly about his mother and about how much he cared for her when she was at her worst. Let’s remember that Jason loved his mother, he took care of her and resented his father for being abusive towards her and even introducing her to drugs.
Instead understanding these panels as Jason having been abused himself, I see it more as Jason having a humongous understanding of how much women and others suffer in Gotham due to the justice system’s lack of action. I also see Jason as the kind of boy that respected all women and could not sit and do nothing when people were hitting and abusing women just like his father did to his mother.
Batman (1940) #424
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This issue starts by saying that Jason jumps into action as soon as he hears someone scream but that he wasn’t going to be prepared to see what was happening. This is the issue where all of us meet Felipe Garzonas, the abuser and rapist of many women. At first Jason doesn’t know what Felipe was doing but after he and Batman “defeat” Felipe, he goes to the room where he finds Gloria in a bed badly hurt and scared. Jason is shocked when he first finds her and after hearing her story in the police station, he becomes more and more happy about the fact that by having caught Felipe, he and Batman would be able to offer some peace and justice to Gloria after he goes to jail, but that doesn’t happen.
They had all the evidence to put Felipe in jail and the police could easily see that Gloria was the victim but because Felipe had someone to back his made-up story up, he was able to not be arrested and jailed.
Jason once again is baffled at the lack of action by the police or simply justice not being able to be made in favour of the true victim. Batman even says that he has noticed that Jason “had become to emotionally invested with the case” which could favour either idea (Jason having suffered sexual abuse or not), in my case I see this once again as Jason not being able to remain calm after doing everything to keep that woman safe and the justice system not being able to do it themselves in a more permanent way (jail time, or whatever).
But that’s not all because Jason being too emotional with that case was brought up as a way to show that Jason couldn’t see that Felipe had been under the influence of drugs, which is something that Jason can see in people very well (do to experience with his mother and his training with Batman). So, Felipe is now a rapist, an abuser, he does drugs and he also has a market for it.
Because Felipe was allowed to go back to his “normal” life he had Gloria be killed, and he kept abusing drugs and women, when Jason finds Gloria’s dead body and that Batman still seems to abide the justice system he snaps. He goes alone to see Felipe and that’s were this iconic panel comes from. The moments before Jason made his first kill and felt no remorse about it. I know this is kinda soft topic because Jason was a teenager, but good for him, kill that bitch. Gotham doesn’t need more people like him.
Tumblr media
Batman (1940) #226
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is the issue where Jason attacks the men that were involved with some very nasty stuff involving children. Batman narrates and says that him and Jason had been working on this case for three weeks. Jason jumps into action suddenly and “recklessly” even though Batman considered their investigation wasn’t over, he also says that he thinks that Jason had been “acting oddly” and that he was very “moody, resentful and reckless” and that that attitude could “get him killed”.
This could be used as to add more proof of the abuse idea but I actually see it as build up to Jason’s death, that happened two issues later. Let’s remember that Jason found out of his birth mother and was desperate to find and save her from Joker, because he was a good son but also because he didn’t feel like Bruce loved, cared or appreciated him anymore. Ever since Jason made it clear that he didn’t see the world and justice in the same way that Batman did back in issue #422, Jason and Bruce’s relationship suffered, they just couldn’t see eye to eye on some subjects and Bruce’s neglect or lack of care for what Jason believed in drove Jason to act the way he did in the case involving his mother and the Joker.
Jason obviously has major issues with kids being abused and put in dangerous situations, he as the Red Hood (Winick’s Red Hood) is the same, he really wants kids to be taken far away from drugs so they cannot be manipulated, used and abused by Gotham’s Drug Lords. Here I can see some of the same thing, Jason being protective of those kids and getting fed up with how much time he and Batman had to wait to do anything about the subject, along side it I bet Jason wasn’t seeing the police or the justice system doing anything about the whole thing so that could have probably fuelled his desperate attack of those horrible people.
As Batman/Red Hood:
Batman: Battle for the Cowl #3
Tumblr media
Battle for the Cowl… yeah I am going to be brutally honest about this, if anyone thinks that this is someway or somehow proof that Jason had been abused in the past then I think we have very different ways of thinking how survivors must be treated or written in comics and other media.
This to me is pure bad writing, this is some of the worst things I have seen being written in comics. Whether or not this implies Jason being abused or not, Bruce’s message is absolutely disgusting and not at all helpful, it is even worse when you realise that Dick, a canon sexual assault survivor, is the one playing the message to Jason even though Jason explicitly said that he didn’t want to hear it again. That Book, issue, page and panel are extremely badly written and is one of the most terrible Jason and Dick characterizations ever.
So, I don’t really care if this panel is supposed to offer support to that theory or headcanon, I really dislike that speech and if it is actually referencing Jason as being a survivor of child abuse, then Tony S. Daniel needs to make an apology from today to the day he dies.
“Of all my failures, you have been my biggest” “You were broken and I thought I could put the pieces back together. I thought I could do for you what could never be done for me. Make you whole” “What happened to you as a child… the terror, the pain, the horrors” “You needed repair and instead I gave you an outlet to act out on”
Absolute garbage writing. Me, as Bruce is number one hater, know that that speech is even out of character for Bruce. Listen, if Jason had been a victim of sexual assault or just being a kid living alone in Crime Alley, no one should leave a message like that, telling a victim that they were broken and needed fixing, what the hell? No, thank you, this issue proves nothing except that Battle for the Cowl was a mistake as a whole.
Green Arrow (2001) #72
Tumblr media
Judd Winick is clever I will always say that, and while I do see why people think that Jason is making the “child abuse idea” canon I still think that the way that he talks is still fairly ambiguous if not just him playing mind games with Mia.
I know it sounds wrong, but hear me out, Winick, in this arc makes Batman say that Jason distracted him and Oliver just to take Mia as a “hostage” because that was Jason’s way to mess with him. This arc happens right after UtRH and Jason is a bit more unhinged than ever. But he doesn’t harm Mia, he just talks to her, he tries to make her see why he acts the way he does and to do that he talks about how much he sees of himself in her. Do I believe that Jason suffered the same things Mia did? No. Do I think that their past is similar? Yes.
But Jason doesn’t only use the fact that they have similar pasts to make Mia rebel against her “no killing ways” and Oliver like he did with Bruce, but he also brings up the fact that their past is incredibly different to the lives of Bruce and Oliver, and that those differences are of importance.
Tumblr media
Maybe it’s just me, but I didn’t see Jason bringing Mia’s past for anything other than manipulating her and kinda make her see Oliver in a negative light the way that he does Batman and Bruce. Jason was at a point in his life where all he wanted to do was deliver the same pain that he had gone through but he didn’t do it by physically harming anyone (Mia was left unscratched), he was just out there trying to play mind games so he could break more havoc in Batman’s name.
Mia’s past is just way too different to whatever we have seen in canon from Jason’s past. Maybe I am wrong, after all, I only read about Mia in that arc.
-
With all that having been said I think it’s pretty obvious that I just don’t think that Jason’ having been sexually abused as a child actually happened, and I also don’t like to think about his past in that way. His canon suffering could have made him act that violently against criminals involved with sexual attacks and drug-related crimes, but I also think that’s just how Jason was, he really disliked the justice system in Gotham and saw how much it failed to protect victims, so now that he had the training to help those who couldn’t do it for themselves, he tried his best to bring criminals to justice.
And when that didn’t work, he grew more and more frustrated with Batman’s methods which led him to be more unforgiving and violent.
I also don’t like the theory/headcanon as a whole because I think its one of those things that Fandom comes up with just for that extra angst factor in their favourite character’s story so they can make him suffer more and because of that no other Robin or character as a whole can ever understand his pain or whatever. In this fandom there is a lot of “competitive trauma” going on and I honestly dislike it a lot.
About Jason having been assaulted while he was in a coma, I don't really know, he was at a hospital for what I believe were six moths, maybe that idea comes from real life happenings but I have never thought of that happening in Jason's life and I would rather not give it much more thought.
Also, I believe that DC just like fandom would have never been able to handle the subject of Jason having been a sexual assault survivor with the respect and care that it actually needs. We have seen DC treat sexual harassment and abuse as nothing but a side plot or bringing it up in an extremely disturbing way. In Fandom some (very few) people end up glamorising or romanticising these subjects so, I don’t believe the comic world was or is ready to treat a backstory like this with the respect it needs.
Maybe I haven’t even treated the subject with the respect and care that it needs and if that’s the case then I am truly sorry.
I had never answered a question regarding this subject before and I really appreciate all the questions you send my way; they do make my brain happy. I am really sorry it took me this long to write an answer to you but I hope the post is good enough for all the time I made you wait!
I hope you have an amazing week!

Subnautica Headcanons: “But they could not hear me...”
Again, this is not meant to be a compilation of canon information. They are my own oppinions so take them with a grain of salt, k? :) Hidden under “keep reading” for possible spoilers.
So one of the most googled questions about the Sea Emperor is: why could Ryler hear her voice? Or rather: if the Precursors/ Architects where such an “advanced” race capabe of telepaty, why couldn’t they hear her?
Tumblr media
One of the leading theories out there is that Precursor/Architect telepathy is technological and therefore, biological creatures won’t be able to hear it, but I disagree. If that was the case, then how could, in Below Zero, Al-An communicate with Robin, who has no technologial augmentations? Instead I think it might have to do with Precursor/Architect evolution. Before we go on there are a few things we need to understand about evolution itself, I’m gonna get a bit technical so feel free to skip it if you like, ok?
Foreword about evolution and terminology
Back when I was in highschool, they taught us that an organism evolves from something more “primitive” to something more “advanced”, like this:
Tumblr media
But that is not entirely right, instead, it should look something like this:
Tumblr media
Organisms respond to pressure from their environment and change accordintly trough natural selection: A species that lives in the jungle needs to pass on a different set of genes to survive when compared to a creature that lives in the savannah. Biologists nowadays don’t use the word “primitive” or “advanced” anymore because it implies that there is a certain hierarchy to organisms, instead they use the word “basal” and “derived”: A derived species has developed more characteristics to take advantage of a certain niche/environment when compared to a basal one, but that does not imply that the “basal” species is less successfull! That is also why I think Al-An favors the word “inefficient” over “primitive”. He could be refering to our species’ unwillingness to adapt to certain environmental/ technological challenges rather than implying that we are less valuable/advanced that them (though he still has a lot to learn about being tactful!).
Precursor/ Architect telepathic resistance?
Now with that out of the way: We know for a fact that in the Subnautica universe there are alien creatures that are capable of telepathy, and not just for communication! Mesmers, for example, use that to either avoid predation or attract prey.
Tumblr media
Therefore, it is possible that the evolutionary ancestors of Precursors/Architects might have naturally developed defences against such “telepathic attacks”, defences which might have been enhacened further by their technology.
And when you’re working on an alien planet with predators that could potentially use telepathy against you, it would make sence to completely block any telepathic communication that does not come from another member of your species. That might have been why the Sea Emperor couldn’t get trough to them.
We, as a species, evolved without the selective pressure of psychic/ telepathic threats, so we had no need to evolve any form of protection against that, that means: no telepathic barriers! That’s why the Sea Emperor’s message could easily get trough: there was nothing to stop it. And Ryler was probably the first sentient creature to actually listen to her message instead of just being terrified by it! *coffDegasiCrewcoff*
As to why Al-An could communicate with Robin: He voluntarily initiated communication when Robin first entered the Sanctuary, basically he “opened the door” for her and provided a way to communicate. It should also be noted that Robin replies to him using her voice, since she has no telepathic ability herself.

The Voyage So Far: Enies Lobby
east blue (1 | 2) || alabasta (1 | 2) || skypiea || water 7 || enies lobby || thriller bark || paramount war (1 | 2) || fishman island || punk hazard || dressrosa (1 | 2) || whole cake island || wano (1 | 2)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this is still one of my very favorite nami panels. i think she’s really great through all of water 7 and enies lobby in general, actually, even though she isn’t really one of the characters in focus for a lot of it- like zoro and sanji, she stays pretty steadfast and very badass even though everything that happens, and never gives up on robin for a moment despite being one of the ‘weaker’ members of the crew. and it’s always fun to see her playing with lightning.
Tumblr media
one of my favorite jokes from the first half or so of enies lobby is the strawhats both being completely unsurprised that luffy charges in ahead of them as soon as they arrive AND being able to find him immediately by following the explosions. they know him so well.
Tumblr media
luffy’s never been scared of dying, going all the way back to when he told coby he was fine with dying for his dream back in chapter two or three. that conversation is what his exchange with blueno here reminds me of- blueno asks him how long he intends to keep fighting, and luffy says until he dies, like there’s nothing to it.
it’s always been a trait of his to face death unflinching with a grin, so long as it’s for the sake of something he cares about, be it his crew or his brother or his dream, and i just really like that about him.
Tumblr media
i’ll go into it in the dressrosa post too, but i think it’s really impressive just how long oda held off on giving luffy any sort of significant power-up. he gets his first big power boost in the whole series here, forty volumes in. i’ve always liked that oda is very conservative with power boosts like this, because it both keeps the series’ powerscaling in check and makes the times it does happen much weightier. this is a monumental moment, and it feels like it.
also, i love the way gear two is drawn pre-timeskip, especially with the steam. it looks very cool and atmospheric.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i really like how united the strawhat crew feels throughout enies lobby, after all the internal turmoil and discord of water seven. even though the matter of usopp leaving the crew is still unresolved, they’ll all together once more, on the same page, and fully united in the goal of saving robin, whatever consequences it might bring.
Tumblr media
the tree of knowledge has such a cool design- it looks massive, and even more than that, it looks old. you look at that tree and you know its been there for easily thousands of years. its seen entire eras of history, and it would be priceless even without the countless books stored inside it.
and then it burns.
Tumblr media
i’m so endlessly sad about the tragedy that is robin’s relationship with her mother. they never even got to see each other until their world was ending, and even then only for a couple minutes.
olvia is a very interesting character, because she’s someone who chose her dream over the people she loved. that’s not an inherently good or bad choice, but it is a choice she made, and it’s what led to the ending she and robin had to have. i’ve wondered a lot what might have happened if she chose the other way, if she never left or if she came back sooner or if she chose to flee the buster call with robin, and how different (and almost certainly better) robin’s life would have been if she had.
Tumblr media
in a way, olvia reminds me a lot of kouzuki toki. they both die in order to fling a light of knowledge and hope into the future, and they both send their children away and choose to stay behind to choke on ash for the sake of a better tomorrow.
Tumblr media
i didn’t really notice until putting these panels together, but a lot of things burn in enies lobby. ohara burns, and the pluton plans and the world government flag, and enies lobby itself, and at the end, the going merry burns, too. if you extend it back to water seven, there’s the galley-la headquarters, too. in an arc that deals so much with the preservation and destruction of history and knowledge, it’s a fitting motif.
Tumblr media
the world government flag burning is still to this day one of the most striking panels out of a series full of them, in my opinion. in one act, the strawhats proclaim their absolute defiance against the world government, and their willingness to make enemies of the greatest power in the world for the sake of their friend.
it’s also another one of those moments that’s interesting to think about in the context of luffy’s past. it was a ship flying that same flag that shot sabo down, and while luffy wasn’t there to see it, i don’t think he’s oblivious to that fact, especially given how he says just before this he understands robin’s enemies perfectly.
dadan told him and ace that there was nothing they could do against the whole world, and luffy went and did it anyways.
Tumblr media
sometimes i just think about how scary it must have been for robin, someone who’s been weighed down by the shackles of her past with no escape in sight for so very long, to open herself up and let herself hope, for life and freedom and a dream that’s always been out of reach.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
franky has a lot of really great moments between this arc and water seven- his conversation with usopp as usopp is working on merry and his talk with robin on the sea train are two others. it’s almost impressive how quickly he becomes an immensely likable character once we start getting to know him, given how he’s first introduced as an absolute piece of shit.
his burning of the pluton plans is a favorite of mine, and i think it might be because, like so many people before and after him, he’s choosing here to stake all his hopes on the strawhats, on luffy’s ability to pull off the impossible and on robin’s goodness. when robin’s only ever been chased and hated and called a demon by the world, franky chooses to trust her and luffy with the legacy his dad died for, and neither of them let him down.
Tumblr media
monster point looks SO FUCKING TERRIFYING in enies lobby, and i LOVE it. look at that. franky is seven and half feet tall, and in front of monster point he’s tiny. monster point is huge, and dead-eyed, and a force of absolute destruction. i do kind of wish we got to see chopper go completely feral like this more often. he deserves to be terrifying!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i love how much FAITH all the rest of the strawhats continue to have in usopp throughout enies lobby. he left the crew and they really would have a right to be angry at him if they chose to, but it doesn’t even seem to cross any of their minds. they’re just happy he’s okay, and they include him again without missing a beat, because he’s still their friend and they know down to their bones they can trust him, even after everything.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i’ve always really loved zoro and kaku’s little moment of post-battle banter here- zoro relays paulie’s message about cp9 being fired, kaku says he’s out of a job, zoro tells him to try the zoo, and kaku cracks up.
it feels very real to me for whatever reason, and i think part of it ties back into how well one piece handles morality with its characters- zoro and kaku are genuinely pretty similar people who get along decently, it just happens that they wound up on opposite sides. there are series where you’d never see moments like this due to the lines between good and bad being so firmly drawn, and i love how one piece blurs those lines so much they may as well not exist a lot of the time.
Tumblr media
this is the other sequence, along with luffy climbing the drum rockies barehanded, that always makes me physically cringe to look at. it looks so painful. robin is so nearly powerless here, but not quite- she can still buy time for her crew to catch up, even if it’s only seconds, even if she risks shattering her teeth or even her jaw in the process. she’s spent so long giving up and has only just started daring to hope- she’s not about to go gentle.
Tumblr media
there aren’t many panels that give me catharsis like this one. there really aren’t.
oda’s villains are usually complicated and awful and often a little admirable, if only for how clever or how terrifyingly powerful they are, but every now and then he comes up with someone who’s just pathetic and cowardly and pointlessly cruel. spandam is like this, obviously, and so is orochi, and the celestial dragons, and i’d argue flampe from whole cake island as well. and there’s nothing like seeing characters like them- weak, cruel people so assured in their own power and rightness- get obliterated.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
one of the things i really like about enies lobby is that nobody really gets sidelined- everybody gets multiple chances to shine. luffy, usopp, and obviously robin are the most in focus, obviously, but zoro, sanji, nami, chopper, and even franky all get a bunch of individual awesome moments. oda’s ability to handle his cast satisfyingly is consistently really impressive (if sometimes strained in huge ensemble arcs like dressrosa or wano) and it really shows here, i think.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i just really love the entire climax of enies lobby. much like the arc as a whole, it just feels triumphant, even though the situation is extremely dire. luffy unlocking gear three, robin’s cuffs getting unlocked, usopp shooting spandam and the marines all the way from the tower of justice- it’s all just good, a long chain of much-needed victories and catharses, and it feels very good to read.
Tumblr media
i’ll always be impressed by just how much characterization oda manages to give merry, a boat. she’s only really a character in water seven and the end of enies lobby, only about two chapters of which she actually speaks in. and yet i don’t think you’d find a single one piece fan who disagrees that merry’s death is easily one of the most heartwrenching in the entire series.
Tumblr media
i love the reactions of the strawhats to robin’s thanks. they’ve just gone through hell to save her, most of them are beat to shit and they all risked their lives, and yet they all just smile, or brush it off, because to them there’s nothing else they could have done. it’s all worth it, so long as they got her back, so long as she’s safe and happy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
merry’s funeral just hits me in the chest every single time i read it. it’s tragic, of course, but there’s also something almost lovely about it, something peaceful about her getting to go out on her own terms, carrying her crew to safety one last time, defying every rule of the universe to do it. just like a strawhat pirate.
oda’s ability to communicate emotion through expressions really comes through here, too. merry has the only lines in this scene, fitting for her death in the limelight, but the shots of every other crewmate’s face let us know at a glance just what they’re all feeling and just how strongly they’re feeling it.
Tumblr media
you know, i’d forgotten we only learn the name of the new world after enies lobby. we only get proper exposition about the revolutionary army and the yonkou here, too, despite them being set up since loguetown and jaya (or alabasta, or even chapter one if you count from shanks’s introduction) respectively. oda’s ability to parse out exposition and explanation so we always have just the right amount of information is really impressive- we always have more questions, but we also always have the feeling that those questions have answers, and that sooner or later they’ll be revealed.
Tumblr media
points at shanks. i just think he’s neat.
Tumblr media
it’s my opinion that one of the great joys of one piece is seeing luffy and the crew rise up in the world, and seeing them gain more and more notoriety. i love nothing they do ever happens in a vacuum- everything has impacts, and there are always outside eyes watching, and often those impacts are things that they never could have predicted.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ace and blackbeard is still, i think, definitely one of the coolest looking fights in the whole series. it’s not all that often we get to see two people with extremely flashy and showy abilities go all-out against each other, and the resulting fireworks are still really something to behold, despite how badly it all ends.

Biodad Bruce Prompts:
-dating/love
-pets
-identities
-truths/lies (if you squint but that part will continue)
Marinette was waving bye to her friends before heading home. Alya was following her peppering her with questions about what she thought of Noah and what exactly he said to her. She almost pulled Marinette down holding onto her arm begging for details.
"Oh why do you do this to me? Lycée is wasted on you. I should be single and ready to mingle with all these cute new boys," Alya let out an exasperated groan.
Marinette lifted her hand and waved. "Hey Nino."
Alya turned around frantically looking for her boyfriend. When she didn't see him she turned back and slapped Marinette's arm when she saw she was laughing at her.
"You devil brat! I almost had a heart attack."
"Serves you right. Mooning over the new boys when you already have one who adores you."
"Doesn't seem like I would have a chance anyway. None of them look my way when you are standing near."
"That's not true. You're exaggerating."
"Noah just about knocked Max over in the hall the first time he saw you. You didn't notice because You were watching Adrien."
"That never happened."
"No, it did. I thought him and Kim were going to get into a fight but Kim saw where he was looking and laughed it off."
"Also that is definitely one boy, not every boy."
"He is not the only one. Pretty sure Luka is still pining after you. At least 3 other boys that went to different collèges and then of course Adrien."
"Another blatant fabrication. Adrien only sees me as a friend. You can't even say stuff like that. I need to move past that."
"You have been really distracted lately. You've missed a lot. He always smiled more brightly when you were around but now he watches you a lot."
"Stop Alya. He wouldn't want to date me."
"If you say so. But I think sleeping with his arms around you made him reconsider."
"It wasn't like that. Besides I have had a lot on my mind. I don't know that running off to find love right now is the best idea. It's all so confusing."
Their discussion of Marinette's dating life was interrupted when Damian walked up to them and addressed Marinette.
"You need to come with me."
"She isn't going anywhere with you. You've been an entitled jerk to her at every opportunity." Alya said with a glare.
"What do you need?" Marinette said.
"We can do it here but it might be easier if we were seated."
He gestured to some benches nearby and the girls sat. He tapped at his phone briefly and they saw the excited face of Tim who Damian barely acknowledged before turning back to Marinette.
"I am told that you may be visiting our home soon," he stated.
"That has been discussed and I am interested in the idea," Marinette said.
"I also heard you have always wanted a pet but that is complicated by your residence being attached to the patisserie," he continued.
"This is also true."
He addressed his phone, "Can you show her what you found?"
The 3 looked at the phone where they could see Tim turn it around they saw a ceiling and then a floor that looked like a store before it focused on a shopping cart as Tim talked about each thing he focused on.
"Okay this looks like it is the best enclosure it connects to a series of tunnels and a little cubby as a sleeping area. This wheel for exercise the water bottle, dish, food, and bedding material. All that is left is to choose one."
He focused his phone on the enclosures at what she had determined was a pet store. Marinette could see the variety of hamsters available.
"You are getting a hamster?" Marinette asked.
"You are getting a hamster," Damian clarified. "You just have to pick one."
Marinette was stunned with this gesture from Damian but she didn't have time to consider as Tim went through showing them each hamster that was available. Marinette oohed and ahhed at all of them but then she gasped at the smallest one she had seen.
"Oh it's so little and cute!"
Tim reached in and picked it up and it was even smaller than it had looked because there was another matching one huddled together with it. They both squirmed and struggled to get back to each other.
"Oh not that one," Marinette said. "They are together. They need each other."
"Get them both, Drake." Damian said.
"I'm already on it," he replied.
"No, that is too much. You don't need to do that." Marinette said.
"Nope. They need each other and I'm already doing it." Tim said.
"That is settled. I will have him send a picture when it is set up. When I am home I will give you updates as well as pictures and videos regularly."
Marinette's mouth was slightly ajar at his sudden change in attitude. He didn't wait for her to figure out her feelings, he pushed a card into her hands.
"This is my personal contact information. Use whichever you feel the most confident with and I will send the information that way. Good day."
When he finished speaking he walked off without waiting for a response. Marinette and Alya just stared as he walked away.
"Did that really just happen?" asked Marinette.
Alya just nodded before she too said her goodbyes and went home.
---
It was a little over 2 months from when they originally met the Justice League. Ladybug and Chat Noir had discussed it several times and then again with the Justice League members they had been working with. Today was when they decided to meet at a more private place for their reveal. Batman and Wonder Woman were not really involved. They were just there before to set up the meeting with the team but Hawkmoth wasn't considered to be at their level.
The decision of the miraculous users was that they would reveal to the 4 members they had gotten to know but that no one beyond that would know. They were already uncomfortable with the idea of a reveal and they wanted to control the information themselves. Well, Chat Noir was excited about the reveal. Ladybug was terrified what the reaction of her partner would be. She didn't worry about the Justice League group. She thought it was unlikely that they had ever met but Chat had met her as Marinette to rescue her, when he was disappointed with Ladybug not showing up, and then when she claimed to be in love with him.
The building was a gym under construction so no one would see them. When Ladybug entered she saw that Superboy and Robin were already there and talking. She gave a little wave as she approached them. She had grown to like the pair of them very well over the weeks they had worked together. Superboy was very friendly and Robin was very focused.
She looked over at the other side of the building at a new sound to see Wonder Girl walking up with Chat Noir. Based on their conversation they had just met outside while they were walking up. Greetings were exchanged and Marinette started to ask if anything knew about Kid Flash but as she started she saw his blur zip around the space several times before he joined them half a second later. He handed a flower to Ladybug with a flourish causing Chat Noir to glare at him.
Even though the Justice League members had acted as heroes longer Ladybug still took charge. It was her city and they had the experience with the problems there. They didn't like it at first but her no nonsense focus on the mission without being too uptight when they were patrolling together had made her accepted by all.
She took a deep breath. She was the only one very nervous. The others already knew the identities of their teammates. They had spent the last few weeks explaining situations where it had been useful. She thought they were probably skipping over times when it had not been a good idea. She had been talking with Superboy one night and he had almost let a story slip but he stopped himself.
She looked over at Chat. Maybe he was nervous too. But she could still see excitement in his eyes. She just hoped she would be enough. Their relationship wasn't like the others. He knew her civilian identity and they had worked together for 2 years. Ladybug took a breath and cleared her throat. Conversation stopped and she had their full attention when she spoke.
"Before we do this I want to remind everyone how important it is that the information not go beyond those in this room. It is the choice of each person to decide who knows their identity. If anyone disagrees with that they should say so now."
No one spoke but there were nods of agreement.
"Okay, then on three?"
She paused before slowly counting to 3. She closed her eyes as she detransformed and took a breath before she looked up. She looked first to see the fading green light on Chat Noir to meet the green eyes of Adrien Agreste. She was sure his shock was mirrored in her own. They both opened their mouths to speak but turned at another voice.
"Marinette?"
She turned to see Damian in Robin's uniform. Kid Flash and Superboy she had met at the fashion show but she couldn't remember their names. She had been too nervous to retain anything. She didn't think she had ever met Wonder Girl as a civilian. Surprisingly she was the only one. No one spoke for a moment. Adrien had that look on his face that Chat Noir would get sometimes when he looked at Ladybug. Marinette didn't think she could deal with this. Until one of the others opened his mouth and proved it.
"Isn't that your sister?" Jon said.
"Bruce is going to flip out," Wally added.
"You can't tell him!" Marinette screeched. "You can't tell anyone, especially not him."
"Marinette, what does he mean? I've met your parents. You don't have a brother." Adrien said.
"I-uh. It's complicated." Marinette said. "Actually I can't deal with this. It's just--"
She trailed off as she took several steps back before calling for her transformation and running out. She didn't see the fallout from her escape. They all argued over whether they should go after her and who should go. Cassie called for them to be quiet. She said she would be the one to go after Ladybug. Since she didn't know her it would be easier to calm her.
Wonder Girl flew off after Ladybug. She wasn't hiding but when she saw Wonder Girl headed towards her on the Eiffel Tower she stood up as if preparing to leave.
"Wait," Wonder Girl called out.
Ladybug paused as she landed and turned back towards her.
"Are they all upset with me?" she asked.
"I think it's mostly worried. You have a lot of secrets."
"I don't even like secrets. It feels like lying. I hate lies. A temporary secret like a surprise is one thing but sometimes I feel like my whole life is a lie."
Ladybug sat back down with her legs dangling as she had been before, Wonder Girl sat next to her. They sat there for awhile, saying nothing. Eventually Ladybug started speaking. She started back at the beginning when she first met Tikki and how she didn't even think she would be a good hero and tried to give the powers away. Once she started she couldn't stop. All her years of secrets and fears poured out. Wonder Girl sat there stunned realizing that not only had she not had anyone to talk to who knew but she also was at risk of becoming akumatized and endangering the entire city or even the world. She considered the spotted hero before she gave her first response that wasn't an encouragement to continue talking.
"You need to tell your parents."
