The thing is, we live out the episode mostly with Tharn, so when we get to the final scene, the head space is clearly wrong for what is a super important moment. It's the culmination of Phaya finding out who he is, who they are, the tragedy of their deaths and the only thing he wants to do is reaffirm to himself that Tharn is here, alive and welcoming him, reestablishing their connection he fears may have been damaged by Chalothon's presence. You're mine, not in the possessive way. In the you belong to me, you're my person and other half way. You promised me you would always be by my side. You won't leave me for him no matter what.

I like how the color scheme of Tharn's room is very Tharn-centric. His shade of Naga green so that we know this scene is entirely about Tharn and Phaya loving him emotionally, physically, being with him in any way he can. All of his focus on him and making him feel good. Honoring him and the love he has given to Phaya in their lives.

Part of my discombobulation was Tharn's immediate, oh okay, we're doing this rather than slowing Phaya down since he was starved of oxygen and he looks like he will fall down if he stands up for too long. I think it speaks to how much Tharn missed and craved Phaya in his absence. Reverently kissing his fingers and touching what he's allowed to touch. Tharn isn't taking anything for granted and he will take what he can get. He doesn't want to grieve like Phaya's gone or about to be. He wants to love him and be loved. I think he also needed a bit of lovin' after such a hard day and to be swept up in Phaya's swoony romance hands was too tantalizing even for Tharn.

These two are so ridiculously self-centered as soulmates are and I guess good for them.
