Dark Turtles in Cody’s Penthouse (Headcanons)

A/N: Not a super detailed one, as I need to get up early in the morning. The official count down until I finish my internship😭

The Dark Turtles were surprisingly quiet when they first moved into the penthouse. They had been there before, but none of them, other than Leo, had taken the time to take in the looks and decor of the penthouse.

Leo seemed to be the most affected by the move. He remembered his time in the penthouse, seeing the way the turtles had taken care of him in every room. He seemed melancholy, and for a time Cody was a little worried for him. But as time passed, Leo came to become comfortable in his new surroundings, somehow finding peace with the past.

The one that did the best with the change of surroundings, was Mikey. He quickly adapted, learning how to use the television and Helix console in less than a day. In the beginning, Cody would often find Mikey in front of the television in the morning, and the last thing in the evening, and for a time, Cody had no access to the couch, due to Mikey’s long legs taking up the whole length.

Raph was more mad the first week, his aggressions growing to a point he hadn’t felt in a long time. All these new impressions on him made him feel on edge and nervous, fearing that everything could be taken away at any given moment. But after the first week he realized that nothing was going to be taken away from him, and that Cody in fact wanted him and his brothers to stay. It was incredible comfort to Raph, even bringing him to tears one evening, crying out his feelings of gratitude to Cody.

Donnie almost seemed untouched by the whole ordeal. He found his brother’s over emotional states irritating and eratonal. Donnie was more than happy that Cody allowed him and his brothers to stay in his expensive penthouse, but he did not show it. Instead he would nod gratefully at Cody whenever he was around, doing everything in his power not to cause Cody any problems. The last thing Donnie wanted, was for him and his brothers fuck up such an amazing second chance, after all they had been though with the turtles and Cody. Therefore he spent a lot of time in Cody’s lap, either working on his own thing, or helping Cody out with what he could.

All of the Dark Turtles took over the old rooms of their counterparts, each of them finding a strange comfort in the room, as if they had been in there for longer. As if they had called it theirs before they even moved in with Cody. It was a place they often went to calm themselves down, or just to get away from their sometimes hectic lives. During their first few weeks in the penthouse, that was where they spent most of their time, collecting their feelings and thoughts.

Raph was not much for admitting it, but during his first nights in his new bed, he started to have nightmares. Visions of the past haunting his mind, along with the many pains he had been through. But those nightmares disappeared after Raph had his emotional talk with Cody, finally giving him peace at night.

It didn’t take long for Leo to find Leonardo’s bonsai tree, and without hesitation, he started to take care of it, recounting the words Leonardo had told him back then.

All through the Dark Turtles were quiet during the first few weeks, the moment they started feeling at home, they got loud. From one day to another, they started running up and down the hallways, screaming and yelling, crashing into walls when they were too heavy at a high speed, unable to move out of the way before collision. That had already cost Cody a lot.

Peacekeepers had been a constant after the kanabo clones moved in. Noise complaints, or the inhabitants of the building having something to complain about. There was even that one time the peacekeepers were called, because Mikey had been blasting music out over the city in the middle of the night. People were not fans.

Cody would follow in the footsteps of the original turtles, and take up the clones ninja training from where it was left off, helping them to become even stronger, and using their emotions as a tool to help them move further. It had proven quite successful, even helping the turtles become more calm. Or, as calm as a bunch of kanabo clones could be. Now they at least would cause as much of a noise interruption as before.

Just because they are part kanabo, does not mean that they didn’t work. Bishop had long wished to work together with the original turtles, and maybe even put them on a paycheck. But with the turtles going back to their own time, Bishop turned his attention towards the clones. It took some time, but he finally managed to convince them to work for him. In the end the Dark Turtles saw it as a win - anything to stump Darius or any of his new tricks into the dirt. And then getting paid for it? Amazing!

Turns out that the clones are quite spontaneous shoppers. With a sudden large amount of money in their hands, they were not quite sure how to handle it, spending it on whatever they found interesting. Cody had obviously noticed the large amount of new things laying around the penthouse.

tmnt 2003 Raphael headcanons

Raph has one specific spot in the living room that has just become his spot. I feel like it would be an armchair or something because he's such an old man. He's got an unspoken claim on it. Like an old recliner they found at the junkyard that's now raph's old man chair. It's even got a butt indent.

He's bad at math

He gets very vocally invested in movies and tv shows like he's the kind of person to gasp and yell at the tv in disbelief when he's watching something. And he'll do this with everything even if it seems like he's not invested. Like Mikey will be watching something and Raph will be like wow that's so dumb and go like workout or something but if it sounds like something juicy is happening on screen he'll be like 👀

And every time he walks by he'll be like wait what's happening? why is she mad at him? who's that guy?

He's not super into sweets but he loves spicy snacks like he'll absolutely demolish a jar of spicy peanuts. He also douses everything in hot sauce like Mikey will make eggs in the morning and hell dump an absurd amount of hot sauce on it.

Splinter got him into knitting as a calming technique for when he's feeling angry and he kinda just got into it and knits just for fun. Like they have a big blanket for the couch that he knitted.

He's probably the most physically affectionate except for maybe Mikey. But he's always leaning on one of his brothers or like constant arm and shoulder pats when he's talking to them. He'll walk by and just flick mikey's head as a form of endearment.

Also I saw this in another post I can't find but he talks with his hands

Just overall he's very expressive like you never wonder what Raph is thinking because you can always tell

He's a bad driver like there's a reason Donnie usually drives. Like he's okay at actually maneuvering but he drives like a maniac and he can't park. He's better at a bike.

2k3// not gonna lie, Fast Forward gave itself way more physical space than it could ever possibly hope to utilize, but we really should fuck around with just how VAST the world has become and how far away from Earth you can get. easiest examples are you can send anyone on a space quest, you can follow Zixx on adventures, you can send Stockman on research missions (that's what I'm doing yippee!!)

But you can also like, send Cody Jones to space finally. He can finally leave, go wherever he wants. It's hard to imagine he wouldn't want to get off the planet eventually, you know?

And of course there's the potential Space Usagi crossover which, if you're gonna stick with Space Usagi canon, requires at least a galaxy or two of its own, if i remember correctly, and and and, agh!

So much space!! We gotta explore it!!

TMNT03: Dark Turtles Headcanon Time

no you do not get a choice, now listen to me. a lot of it is probably inspired by @amevello-blue Dark Turtle fics on AO3, especially the names bc i for one would’ve never come up with that lmao so credits to them and also Read their Fics no i am not Asking.

anyway. im mad we didnt get a 2nd season of Fast Forward that potentially included a Dark Turtles Redemption and all i can think about is them getting taken in by Cody when the turtles travel back to their time and if you know me, im all about the Found Family Shenanigans. so after some grumbling and growling and hissing the boys settle in and finally get to be more than just weapons of destruction.

DaVinci [Dark!Leo]

nicknamed Vin or Vinny

"i don’t give a shit.” actually gives a LOT of shits

grows to be overprotective but in a really unconventional and grumpy way, ESPECIALLY about Cody and Simoni – when he doesn’t like where they’re at, he will literally scruff them and lift them up to another place, usually behind him

Bad Communication

So bad, oh my god, sir, please just TALK–

while he generally keeps to himself, most of his arguments are caused by him being very uncommunicative or just having no idea how to express what exactly is bothering him

that puts him often at odds with Bardi who will question him the most. one time they nearly duked it out in the middle of the kitchen bc Bardi was handling a sharp knife with his tail and Vin got lowkey worried that he’ll hurt himself or others if he’s not careful but instead of relaying that, he said something along the lines of “you’re shit at handling a blade” and it went downhill from there

he grows a substantial bonsai collection, but the one he got from Splinter is obviously the most well taken care of (he secretly named them all)

only Cody knows bc he was passing by and heard Vin talking to someone named Eliza and when Cody took a peek it was obvious that Vin meant the bonsai he was grooming at that time

PLEASE do not mess with his plants – not only will he severely maim you, he’ll also be very upsetti >:’(

Simoni once gifted him a turtle-shaped watering can as a joke but Vin uses it religiously

the lense over his left eye is actually removable but will leave him half-blind since his left eye is pretty much an empty socket with a prosthetic replacement in it – once he’s more comfortable, he begins removing the lense when he goes to sleep so he can actually close both of his lids

works out a lot, mostly bc the routine calms him (and he likes being the one who can hold back his brothers with just one hand)

once, Cody took them to the less populated countryside to show them the world beyond the city and went stargazing at night, ever since then Vin would sometimes sneak into the simulation room just to relive that moment over and over again bc it’s been the calmest he’s ever felt

Sanzio [Dark!Raph]

nicknamed Sunny

this guy LOVES to lie in the sun – ever since they existed, they’ve mostly been confined underground so the first time he actually got the opportunity to lie down on the roof of Cody’s home and feel the sun, he’d been hooked

Professional Napper™

yknow how cats loaf a lot? yeah he does that – in general, his and Simoni’s legs are the most flexible

you’d think he’s a heavy sleeper, but he’s scared Cody shitless countless of times when the kid tried to spend time with him as quietly as possible only to pass a glance and see those glum yellow eyes already staring back at him

while he can’t retract into his shell, he’s the only one who can achieve the closest thing to it by tucking himself as tightly as possible beneath his carapace

has the worst time during shedding season since his shell is the widest, so Cody and Starlee usually help him peel off his scutes – while he doesn’t feel it, he does not like the sound of it and wears noise-cancelling headphones

despite his initial aggression, Sunny is actually the calmest of his brothers, mostly bc he doesn’t have a lot to say since everyone else seems to run on higher energy than he does, so he can appear a little slow

if you annoy him, he will literally move away from you wordlessly

like, fuck getting into a verbal altercation, if someone just up and moved away from me mid-conversation and then settle down somewhere way off, that would emotionally damage me more than anything else

a fruit fiend, Serling has begun to buy the triple amount of fruits than he usually gets just bc Sunny keeps eating them – he doesnt even peel them

his favorites are cantaloupes and he eats them like apples

dont tell anyone, but Starlee is secretly his favorite bc she treats him like a huge cat

probably the laziest of all of them, yet physically he remains the strongest

likes watching movies – he doesnt particularly favor any genre, but he does noticeably watch a lot of documentaries. Cody thinks the narration soothes him

Bardi [Dark!Donnie]

nicknamed simply B

ngl he’s a bit of a Bitch

high-strung and high-maintenance, it drives Vin and Simoni up the fucking walls

he’s the moodiest, most standoffish of all his brothers and prone to constant sarcasm – however despite complaining about it, he never stops explaining the things he’s doing when asked

bit of an Instigator, it’s better to keep him busy so he won’t get bored and get ideas on how to entertain himself – naturally, he’s a fan of soap operas, the more dramatic the better

Bardi: this is a fun show Vin: the main character’s mother just died on screen Bardi: exactly, it’s hilarious

he was the hardest nut to crack, but Starlee eventually got to him by purposefully coding a system incorrectly while he was in the lab with her and he got so fed up he took over some of the work – it’s only later that he realized he got tricked into helping

oddly enough, that warmed him up to Starlee

he appears a lot more agreeable within a lab setting, but outside of it he will freely mock Cody for not knowing how to fry an egg (he doesn’t know either, he’s a hypocrite)

clearly uncomfortable with anything that involves emotions bc he sees them as a weakness and liability since Darius used to punish them for being anything but battle-hungry monsters – it takes him quite a while to come to terms that he is allowed to feel and let others feel in turn

he’s still super bad at comforting crying people tho, he’s not good with tears and usually just kind of. taps ppl with his tail like “there, there” while looking incredibly uncomfortable

despite his waspish know-it-all attitude he does warm up to everyone in the house and becomes a little possessive – these people belong in HIS bale and his tail has gained this reflex where it would start to wrap around the person he feels is being threatened to be taken from him

he used to squint a lot, like this angry, suspicious squint until Cody figured out he needed glasses

Cody: dont you get tired from all the squinting? Bardi: thats how i look Cody: do you. i think you need glasses Bardi: i need what now

Bardi is still kind of miffed that this didnt occur to him first

he files his claws regularly to keep them sharp “just in case” but wears special tips so he wont accidentally nick anyone, not since he did so with Simoni who immediately went to snitch to Vin

Simoni [Dark!Mikey]

gets called Moni, Mon or Monmon a lot

silly guy!! little guy!! dont let him bite you

the easiest to get along with – while he is a total wildcard and mischievous, he’s super curious about the world that was withheld from them and just. dives right in

absolutely does not understand video games at first despite having vague memories of them thanks to Mikey’s genes, but one all-nighter spent with Cody trying out the newest game on the market, he’s all for it

loves mangas more thann comic books – Cody just KNOWS Mikey would scream “BLASPHEMY!”

actually really loves reading bc he can learn so much and begins to have this huge assortment of random trivia in his head that he’ll just randomly blab out when it becomes relevant – or even when it’s not

the armor on his right leg isnt actual armor but a legit prosthetic after Cody scanned them for initial health checks

he can actually roll his tongue up into his mouth but bc of its current size, he cant keep it inside – him and Cody are still looking into corrective surgeries since there is the danger of his tongue being in the way of his breathing

while he likes a good brawl with his brothers, he hightails it out when Vin and Bardi start fighting since that energy always feels like wanting to cause genuine hurt. so he usually hides away for a few hours until he thinks the coast is clear or Cody/Starlee/Sanzio manage to coax him out

the Champion of Hide n’ Seek – he hides in the most unlikely places and nobody has any idea how he even manages to fit into some of these spots

he’s the most flexible, making him very nimble and acrobatic – he absolutely loves to climb stuff and especially likes to hang from the ceiling to scare the others

do Not touch his food. it’s not even a fun thing – he’s very protective of his food since Darius saw him as the runt of the litter for being smaller and naive and thus used to feed him the least, if at all

he will freely share his food however, but it has to come from his own will

Starlee once brought a pack of little fruit jelly cups and he’s been obsessed with them ever since

while he’s way more expressive than his brothers, he still gets incredibly nervous when involved in an emotional conversation – it takes him a while to realize nobody will punish him for feeling down and expressing it

the kind of guy who will randomly throw out theoretical or philosophical questions that make you have an existential crisis for a good few hours

Simoni: is fish wet when underwater Bardi: what the fuck, obviously, you moron Simoni: yeah but it lives there, water isnt wet to them Bardi: that’s– what? Sanzio: ...im going to bed.

What is your sexuality headcanon for the 03 boys

Sure! I am always up for exploring other interpretations, but here are a bit of mine at the moment:

To start, my headcanons are most of them are not seriously attracted to humans. Little crushes-that-aren't in some cases, sure - they've grown up on the outskirts of a society that says humans of a certain appearance are attractive, they've probably internalized that somewhat and would be subconsciously trying to conform to perceived expectations of what they're 'supposed' to feel while simultaneously being acutely aware that they are not considered attractive by those same standards - but nothing substantial. Mutants, aliens, anthropomorphic edo-period folk, though: a lot more their type.

Also, this show being made and set in 2003 complicates things! They wouldn't have access to the same level of societal acceptance or even vocabulary that we do now, plus no community support for obvious reasons. They wouldn't have experienced homophobia or cissexism in their own household in the sewers, but they still had TV at some point. And it's hard to talk about things when you don't have the words.

Leonardo - Gay, very much interested in Usagi, very much not sure how to talk about it.

Donatello - Demiromantic or aromantic asexual*, with a small initial queerplatonic crush on April that he grows out of.

Raphael - I'm not 100% on anything with him and I'd be happy to hear someone state their case, but currently I'm at straight. Or bisexual but not thinking about it.** I'm flip-flopping on whether I think he would experience any attraction towards humans, but I think he's either the most likely, or the most solidly sure that he doesn't.***

Mikey - Possibly pansexual or panromantic ace - if they spent more time in space a little older, I could see him chatting up random aliens he finds attractive like the social butterfly he is with no real regard for gender (or, well, not always sure how to tell what genders the aliens may or may not have, which ends up being virtually the same thing.)

*I'm kind of excited because in this particular headcanon, there's a possibility Donny would have found AVEN during its golden years. The philosophies and resources of it would have been very beneficial in finding The Words for not just him but everyone, and discussing it in a healthy way.

**Raph has closer social ties with humans than his brothers, between Casey and Mrs. Morrison, etc. and I think a little more likely to have slightly stronger internalized human-style hangups regarding his own feelings if he's not entirely straight, such as fear of the reactions of his social circle, possibly causing him to be hesitant about looking too closely at that part of himself (not because of anything Casey or Mrs. Morrison do directly wrong, but there are a thousand tiny unintentional ways these things get reinforced especially when we're talking about the early 2000s,) and he's also more of a doer than a thinker, so I can't see him being that introspective without some sort of significant external push.

***My memory sucks (brain fog) so I have no idea if he's directly said anything about this in canon one way or another.

⚔️REACTING TO A BODYGUARD⚔️

Version: TMNT Fast Forward (2008)

This is an idea that came to my head, of the Fast Forward turtles reacting to a new Cody Jones bodyguard

Situation: the boys, between different experiments that Donnie carried out by mistake, ended up again in the future, after their previous adventure in which they ended up at that time, now they did not have many problems, they already knew where to go directly, to the home of Cody Jones, the heir of O'Neil Tech, although the Serling robot reluctantly received them with their old artifacts to be at that time, however after letting them in there was a small detail that they did not count on and it was to be received not with a greeting, yes not with a series of attacks from a stranger they were about to lose to, if it weren't for Cody's meddling.

° I was very impressed with your skills, an attack was not expected to tell the truth

° However, after all the experiences with villains posing as good guys, it made him wary

° He will have an eye on you and your actions at all times

° Mr. Distrustful: Activated

° After a while both would train together almost all the time, so far you would be the only one who manages to give him a good fight

°It was very satisfying to have someone with whom you can fight 100%

° In time, who knows, maybe they would become good friends

💜Donatello💜

° Your skills were really good I recognized it

° He was surprised that you were Cody's new bodyguard

° He is nervous that you are watching him every time he is working on something

° After a while he himself established some limits in a matter of you watching over him

° It bothers him that you make him go to sleep at a certain time, but he likes that when he stays up late you give him a good cup of coffee even if you limit it anyway

° He likes you to go with him to get some pieces

° he felt very annoyed by your presence

° he asks you for a rematch almost every day, even though you constantly refuse

° I challenge you to a skating competition promising that he would eat only vegetables for a week, and when you beat him you only beat an admirer who insisted you skate with him all the time

° Horror movie nights were off limits after Mikey woke you up with his screams

° When he met you, he was equally suspicious, but after seeing you in the eyes, he only chose to trust

° he asked you to train with his children on several occasions

° More than once he told you that you would be a good Daughter-in-law (you almost spit out what you were drinking the first time)

Time for a touch up

Context: the human versions of the turtle brothers go out for a day to get some touch ups

“Does everyone have their money?” Leo asked as he grabbed his phone and pushed it into his jeans pocket. He heard a mix of ‘yeah’ ‘I think’ and ‘uh huh’ in response to his question causing him to shake his head a bit.

It’s been a long while since the boys had any time to themselves, they were caught up with school, training with Splinter and just life in general. They forgot the importance of taking care of themselves.

The only reason this was remembered was because their father reminded them, they were all lounging around one evening after school when he walked in.

Splinter would raise an eyebrow at the sight of his sons’ physical state, when was the last time they have gotten their hair cut? Is Raph’s beard slowly growing in? Sigh..

“My sons.” Splinter would speak up causing all four brothers to turn their attention towards their father. “When was the last time you four focused on maintaining your appearances?”

Each brother would look at each other before feeling their face or running their hands through their hair. “I assume a long time ago..” splinter muttered, pinching the bridge of his nose gently.

“Tomorrow is Saturday, you four should have enough time to get yourselves in order by the end of tomorrow..unless there’s something else you all have to do?” Each brother would look at each other like ‘do we have anything to do?’

“If there isn’t any objections I would like for you all to go get yourselves in order, haircuts, get any facial hair shaved..so on so forth”

All the brothers simply nodded “do we get money?” Mikey piped up causing Splinter to raise an eyebrow “you have an allowance, yes?” Mikey sweat dropped “riiight..” he laughed nervously and scratched the back of his neck

And that’s how they’re all in the family car, Leo in the driver’s seat, Mikey in the passenger’s seat and Donnie and Raph in the back.

Leo started up the car and started driving “do you guys want to do anything after this if we have spare money?” He piped up as he glanced at the rear view mirror, using his free hand to run along his stubble that was growing in.

“Oh oh can we get pizza?!” Mikey piped up and beamed at his elder brother, Raph grumbles “we ate pizza last night.”

“So?” Mikey retorted and continued playing a game on his phone, Leo flicking his indicator on “I mean we can” he let out a low chuckle.

Eventually Leo pulled into the parking lot “we’re here” the eldest announces, everyone getting out of the car one by one and heading into the barber shop. All the brothers stood at the front of the shop and looked around as a man walked up to them “are you boys Splinter’s sons?” He asks, Leo nodding “yes we are.” He answered.

“He called ahead of time and gave me a heads up” the man let out a soft chuckle and made a hand gesture for them to follow him “who am I doing first?” He suddenly spoke up. All the brothers looked at each other before Leo stepped up “me” he simply said.

“Alright Jakson that’s all for you, have a good one” he took the money from another guy, giving him his change and waving to him. Jakson smiled in return and nodded, waving as he left the shop, giving the brothers a soft nod to acknowledge their presence.

The man smiled a bit and nodded at Leo once Jakson left, he gestured to the chair infront him and grabbed a coat. Leo slowly took a seat and got comfortable, the barber throwing the robe like coat over Leo and hooked it behind his neck gently.

“So what style are ya going for kid?” The man twirled a small scissor between his fingers carefully, “uh just a trim please” he smiled a bit nervously.

The man simply let out a little chuckle while shaking his head “alright” he quickly got to work, starting to do the eldest brother’s hair “you three can sit and relax while you wait.” Mikey was already sitting on the lounge area’s couch and continued gaming on his phone, Donnie sitting next to him and Raph sitting on a separate couch.

“So kid what’s ya name?” “Oh I’m Leonardo, my brothers are Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo” Leo smiled and introduced his brothers in the process. “Well kid you can call me Von, that’s what all my customers call me”

“Oh okay” Leo smiled politely and slightly nodded as to not move too much. He looked at himself in the mirror and his eyes ran along his lower face “can you also shave my facial hair? It’s currently growing in” he added with a sheepish look on his face. Von let out a little laugh “of course I can, it’ll charge ya more tho” he gave a heads up and continues fixing up Leo’s hair, starting to style it.

Once Von was done, he dusts the coat off and put his equipment down, getting his equipment to start giving Leo a shave.

Mikey leans his head back as he lost a round in his game, grumbling a bit before glancing out the window of the shop. His eyes suddenly sparkled upon seeing a boba shop “hey bros! There’s a boba shop! Can I go pleaseeee” he begged and gave them puppy eyes. Raph raises an eyebrow and glances at the shop, he looked at Leo getting his facial hair done before looking at Mikey with a shrug.

Von paused to let Leo answer his brother, Leo took a second before nodding “sure” “okay what do you guys want? Von, do you want anything?” Mikey turned his attention to the barber causing him to smile softly.

“No I’m alright, thanks for the offer” He went back to focusing on Leo, Mikey stood up and checked his money “hm…alright give me your orders” he checked the online menu after looking up the shop. “Don how much would all the orders add up to?” He pointed his phone screen to his older brother. Donnie glances at the phone for a bit “around seventeen dollars for the most” he simply says and went back to typing on his phone.

Mikey hums “I’ll be right back!” He happily ran out of the shop and went right across from the barber shop. Raph rolled his eyes and let out a little sigh, leaning his head back and dropping the magazine on his face.

Once Mikey came back, it was Raph’s then for a haircut. “Took ya long enough” Mikey pouted and handed out the drinks, giving straws as well before sitting down and happily stabbing his straw in, taking a long drink of his milk tea.

Mikey looked at Leo and grins wide “looking fresh bro!” He complimented and grabbed his phone, opening snapchat. Leo noticed his brother pick up the phone and let’s out a little laugh, he put his drink on the table infront them and struck a pose jokingly.

Mikey laughed and took the phone, a wide grin on his lips “oh yeah totally a ladies man” “really?-“ “no.” Raph suddenly interrupts causing Mikey and Donnie to quietly snicker, Leo playfully glaring at Raph.

Von let out a soft chuckle as he got started on Raph, he glanced down as he started his work on the second oldest and suddenly leaned his head back a bit “Angel!” Everyone perked up at the sudden loud tone of voice. A girl with dark brown, almost black hair and eyes and tanned skin popped her head into the doorway to the back room “yes?” She tilted her head with curiosity, “can you sweep up the hair for me? I got my hands full here” Von smiled a bit and continued on Raph’s mess you call hair.

Angel slowly walked out and grabbed the broomstick on her way over, she started working on sweeping the hair up and avoiding hitting Raph and Von’s legs.

Mikey grins wide at the sight of her and right as he leaned forward to get up and walk towards her, Donnie quickly yanked him back “don’t even think about it.” “What?! Why?!” Mikey let out an exaggerated groan in return. Leo shook his head “she’s working Mikey, don’t bother her plus you don’t know her” donnie nodding in agreement with his bro.

Mikey grumbles a bit and leaned back against the couch, going back to gaming while taking long slurps from his drink.

Angel eventually got her little task done and walked into the back room again, trying to avoid any form of contact with any stranger.

Von took the coat off Raph and stepped back, Raph stood up and looked at his new appearance. He suddenly turned and walked to his brothers with a smug smirk causing them all to either chuckle or scoff at his dramatic display.

Donnie got up and took Raph’s place on the chair, Raph sitting on the couch next to Mikey and going on his phone.

“Hey Von, what would be our total price when we’re done here?” Von hummed upon hearing Leo’s question, twirling his mini scissors between his fingers before going back to trimming Donnie’s hair “about a good..thirty dollars” He responds with a kind smile.

Angel walked back out of the back room “did Jakson already leave?” She asks in a timid tone of voice, she was soft spoken. Von lifted his head for a moment before nodding and going back to what he was doing “oh..” she mutters. “Why?” Von spoke up “oh I wanted to maybe speak with him more-“ “you wanted his number?” Von had a sly grin on his face and Angel blushes from embarrassment, if she talked to anyone he would tease her. “Yes I wanted his number and whatever you’re thinking, no” she huffs and went to the back room once more.

“Alright one more” Von suddenly calls, taking the coat off Donnie. Mikey sprung up and marched to the chair with a wide grin “my time to shine!” Donnie rolls his eyes playfully and sat on the couch.

“Hey Leo” donnie calls and looked at the eldest “yeah?” He looked up from his phone, he’s been updating splinter with their progress so far. “Are we ordering pizza to take home or..I wanna work on something when we get home” “we can order take out” Leo smiled and opened another app, looking through the menu “are we going for the classic pepperoni or?” Raph hums “add some variety atleast, I’ll eat anythin tho” he shrugged.

Mikey smiled wide and tried SO hard not to move or bounce “can we order Hawaiian?” Leo hums “well, we’re ordering more than one so I say let’s go with variety” he smiles wide and kept browsing the menu “oh they came out with a new Brooklyn style pizza, how about that as well?” “Sounds good to me” “sure” “yeah!”

Von chuckles at the conversation and took the coat off Mikey, he grabbed the broom and started sweeping up the last bit of hair, dumping it in the bin “alright you boys are all set” he smiles wide and ran his hand through his hair. Leo got up and took the money out, he handed it to Von and smiles politely “thank you, we definitely needed this” Mikey suddenly nudged in “we look sick! You’re a real one dude!”

Von let out a deep chuckle and took the money “thank you, you four have a good rest of your day” “you too von, thanks again” the four got up and walked out of the shop as von waved.

They all got in the car and Leo started it up “alright, pizza then home sweet home” he announces. Mikey quickly connects his phone to the radio causing Raph to groan “don’t play anything stupid or I’ll pummel ya” he threatens the youngest. Mikey stuck his tongue out and played a playlist with music they all enjoyed, driving off to get their food for the evening.

Anyone just look at concept art/ideas and think “Ah yes this will support my headcanons/story”

Anyways 03 Splinter went through some changes. First he was taller, standing upright, he had light brown fur, white fur and his current grey fur. He eventually was hunched over. He had a tattered white gi that was later given sleeves and then he had his brown outfit that we know him in.

The only thing that remained consistent with the first three fur coat colors was the fact he had red eyes before it was revised.

Splinter had red eyes before they turned to black dots.

I’m not saying they couldn’t do better and that he doesn’t look decent with his brown eyes later on but it now tells me what kind of rat he is.

Splinter is a Black Marten Rat, mid-grey fur with red eyes.

I gotta draw 03 Rat dad looking like his concept art now. I just have to. You guys are missing out.

1.) Fandoms

My blog is, as a rule, not affiliated with any of the fandoms that my muses come from, and are largely products of my own headcanons, I'll list on the muse page which muses are fully canon divergent and which ones follow canon, as it can vary depending on how I feel about the media they come from.

2.) Basic RP Etiquette

Don't control or override the actions of my characters, don't kill them without asking, no forcibly shipping with my character without talking to me first, really basic stuff for everyone's comfort, really.

3.) NSFW

I generally don't like NSFW unless we're very close rp partners, and if we do engage in that kind of shipping it will lead directly to fade to black, I don't have a sinblog, and don't have an interest in one, so any smut will have to be implied at best. Otherwise, darker subject matter like gore and other darker themes involving mental health will be explored and tagged appropriately.

4.) Dropping Threads

I'm guilty of dropping threads when I lose my muse for them and get overwhelmed. I'm working on reaching out more and sending memes to my mutuals, but I'm a very shy person. The best way to start things with me is to approach me in DM's or send me a meme.

Shinichiro didn’t mind bc he also watched the show as a kid and still now. Emma probably didn’t want to but she gave in when her brothers and Baji begged her… she gave in and said yes. Tagging in takeomi and senju and sanzu, Omi as shredder. Senju and sanzu as the other 2 turtles. Wakasa and benkei dressing up as bebop and rocksteady, ps I bet waka was dying of embarrassment when he had to dress up as bebop, benkei was stone face 🗿 when he was rocksteady. After Halloween Emma watched Tmnt during her free times.

Fast forward to 2003 when Tmnt!2003 came and Mikey and Baji along with Shinichiro watching the show with excitement on their faces every time. But mikey probably stopped watching it after Baji died. Bonten!mikey watched the 2012 version of Tmnt and kept it a secret so no one would know that he watches a kids show like he did with toman back then.

So recently I was rewatching a few random Fast Forward episodes again (as one does when one is writing a massive AU about something) and BOY DO I NEED TO SHARE A THEORY

So like... Torbin Zixx, right.

This guy:

He gets introduced to us in the FF Bishop episode, of all times, as a mysterious vigilante who has avoided not only being captured but also getting caught clearly on any security footage anywhere! How strange! Anyways, Bishop introduces themselves to the turtles, Raph tries to attack his hologram, and the gang agrees to help Bishop catch this guy. Banger!

And then! We get to this shot.

Now, I don't know if this is a noticeable detail to anybody who like, has a life and isn't obsessed with this cartoon, BUT - boy does this face look familiar. The nose specifically is preeetty prominent.

YEAH I bet none of you were thinking THIS when watching that season (probably a good sign that you have better things to do), BUT I THINK.

ZIXX IS A BISHOP CLONE.

Consider the evidence - because there IS evidence, actually!

First of all, they get to stand back to back in the opening even though they both show up like twice? Three times? For mostly unrelated adventures? Why do they get to stand back to back instead of like, Zyxx getting a spot in the villain lineup that is also in the opening? He is ostensibly occasionally doing good but he’s mostly a trickster able to outsmart the turtles and get away - a trait Bishop has exhibited even when he almost fuckin died in Bishop's Gambit, by the way - so it feels meaningful to set him up here, back to back with Bishop of all people.

Second, they get introduced in the same episode, Bishop to Knight. I know we all rag on this season and the following season for not reaching the previous five seasons' standard, but I believe while Back To The Sewer was genuinely badly written, Fast Forward's issue was only that it wasn't given enough time to elaborate on all the things it set up - it is still written well. Things happen with intentions behind them, we are given as much closure as the show could manage, and so it feels like introducing two characters in the same episode has meaning. Combined with the shot from the opening, it really does feel to me like a point is being made here to compare the two.

Third, there is the parallel of both of them tricking Raph with their holograms - unintentionally and intentionally. It makes sense for Bishop, or someone made to think just like Bishop, to use new modern technology like this, because he's a resourceful bastard!

Look at him flinging himself at people he doesn't like. Me too, man.

"He and Bishop don't look alike!" - Well, not anymore they don't. But look at how Bishop used to look during the first five seasons, during his EPF era, and compare that to Zixx, and then compare Zixx to PGA era Bishop:

The nose, the face shape, the dual communicators? PGA era Bishop does look different and this could be attributed to either change of artstyle or the implication that his clone bodies have evolved and changed over the last century, but Zixx is a piece of who he used to be and has had to evolve differently, and thus looks the part.

(Additionally, we have already seen Bishop make clones of himself that didn't look exactly like his then-current body, when he made the Slayer army in Bishop's Gambit.)

This, by the way, would explain why there is no digital track of Zixx's face anywhere. Because hey, let's be real here - the opening of the episode is dedicated to how much information Bishop personally looks through.

If Zixx was indeed running around wearing Bishop's face, he'd want him gone, but Zixx, being a Bishop clone, would be smart enough not to get caught! Thus, the next best thing would be to get rid of any proof of similarity between them, hence these being the only picture Donnie, a de facto civillian, could find.

(Ironically, this could very well have lead to Zixx becoming the infamous enigma he is said to be in this world.)

They also fight alike, relying on acrobatics and on being able to push and pull their opponents around as needed. I am unfortunately too tired to get good screenshots/clips of this.

"But Zixx doesn't look human!"/"But Zixx has a different voice than Bishop!"/"But Zixx has green eyes!" - He's a vigilante in a scifi space show and has the face and voice of the most well known guy in all of space, is it truly a stretch to assume he might've gotten body modifications? We've already got one guy grafting alien DNA onto himself to survive and it's none other than Dr Baxter Stockman, notably another piece of Bishop's past that's come back to haunt him. Why not two?

You know this would also be in line with what I am now calling the Seeing Double Theme - Dark Turtles and a new Turtle Titan are in this story, confrontations of the future and the past self in some way, shape or form are a running theme of Fast Forward, so why wouldn’t there be a Bishop clone running around

No clue how or why Zixx would ditch the whole "protect all of Earth" mentality, but when Bishop reforms himself and swings into the extreme of establishing intergalactic peace to a point where he can't even be partial towards Earth anymore, does it not make sense narratively for his foil to swing the other way, become a typical "only looking out for myself" type of guy?

"It could also be said that maybe Zixx shows off traits that Bishop usually obfiscates, with the self-serving nature being a good example. We know all of Bishop's grand goals are really just covering for the fact that he's scared and wants to protect himself, right? If you look at the core of everything he does, it's to benefit himself. Zixx forgoes making up any justifications and says it like it is: he only cares about himself and what others can do for him." - additional comment, courtesy of THE Bishop Guy™, @violetvulpini, who's the reason I'm going this insane rn in the first place.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that Torbin Zixx is a Bishop clone gone rogue, similar in origin to the Slayer aka Rat King. He is Bishop shaped, he gets to stand next to Bishop in the opening like they're anime foils to each other, and it is SO interesting to explore.

BONUS: Headcanon territory!

Zixx's purpose was to be a "back-up" clone. Bishop has been recording his findings and work since at least the EPF era when we meet him, so maybe these recordings are then uploaded somewhere so that in case he dies and can't make the body transfer, a new clone is awoken and informed of his purpose. For some reason this system has at some point malfunctioned and awoken Zixx despite Bishop surviving - possibly during the collapse of the lab he and Stockman used to work in, or during the space war that gets vaguely mentioned at one point.

"clone six" or "version six" somehow becomes "Torbin Zixx"?

How did Zixx become a vigilante? Well, we know Bishop doesn't have human blood. Presumably the blue goop that we see him bleed at the end of Bishop's Gambit is something synthesized specifically for his body, so I imagine it would be VERY hard to come by. This, I think, would very easily lead to a life of crime he has more than the ideal set of skills for.

Bishop probably wants him obliterated but can't reasonably dedicate resources to catching or killing who he KNOWS is gonna be the ultimate most hard-to-kill guy in the known universe.

He steals Bishop's fancy car specifically just to piss him off <3

god i felt that headcanon post in my soul. ngl the main reason i chose to back away from the rise fandom (tho i'm referring to now, i dipped into it from time to time back when the show was still airing on nick) is bc of the fans' flight or fight reactions if you don't always agree w/ them, and/or if you have different hc's and opinions generally, that would range from 'eh doesn't sound interesting' to 'no, here's where you're wrong'.

i was interacting with some of the fandom for almost a month and a lot of them gave me, along w/ other pre-movie fans, so much crap for hcs n preferences like 'i hc donnie's eye's the same colors as his googles' 'i believe leo's the second oldest' 'i think raph should stay as leader and have leo be second in command/co-leader' ect.

the worse part is that this is mostly with the newer, younger fans that came after either the movie trailer or movie in general came out (sort of a baby's first fandom ordeal). like yeah there were obv bad eggs but i remembered the fandom being generally chill with each other back then, same with the general tmnt fandom tbh, now it just feels like any other fandom 😞

In part this is why Im not to much into Rise fandom I mean the drama over Leo/sagi alone but yeah it is for sure an issue I see with fandom as of late the new fandom is just not as accepting of things as simple as don't like don't look. They dont seem to understand not everyone is going to share thier thought as well or that some people may headcannon something other than they do for whatever reason. It's a big shift from what I'm used to myself but I've always stuck more into smaller areas of fandoms but as of late i tend to enjoy older shows and such more.

because many of these fans tend to skip to what is current they may dip into older stuff and some have looked into other tmnt series. Not many others have. I have noticed how vocal they can be for headcannons and such and ya knows it's fine to have your headcannon but wanna know what is also fun? sharing and seeing others?

I always love seeing other peoples reason for why they may see something for a charater. Best example i got atm is my friend states Casey anger being more cold over how often anger is related to fire. And I love that because it fits so well for him. I find it a bit silly how protective over certien things people can get like the turtles eye colors alone. Sadly I was keeping away from tmnt when rise came out I was one of the fans who didn't watch it till far later just before the movie so i'm not sure how it was then I know it's not all bad but some cricles can be but that is fandom over all. Thoguh I'm old and I just notice that this part of fandoms may be small but are awfully loud. This is why I keep to smaller corners or older shows. Like 2003 and 2012. Im a tad obsessed with Fast Forward ATM just cause i've been re watching it lol. It's annoying for sure, and it can damper the mood when fans just can't be chill with each other.
