Hunter, Belos, and Grimwalkers

Alright so theory time. I've seen talk of this but decided to put my thoughts into my own post, so here we go.

Grimwalker. From what we see on the page, it looks like some sort of artificial human -- or witch. They also have crimson eyes -- just like Hunter. The easiest conclusion to draw here is that Hunter was made by Belos. And from the dialogue we see with Belos next, that grows even more plausible.

Belos has plans for Hunter, and he wants him to stay safe. Notice the wording here. "It would be such a hassle to find a replacement." Maybe that's because he would have to create another Hunter.

So what does he want Hunter for? Well, the main theory that I've seen is that he wants to transfer his body to Hunter's. This would make sense! His own body is failing, so why not make a new one? Plus, that would tie into the "day of unity." It's not just when he merges the realms, it's also when he merges with Hunter.

I also wanted to mention that I've seen theories that Belos is Philip, who's kept himself alive by doing the body transfer with multiple grimwalkers. I don't think this is correct, mainly because of Belos' eye color. They're blue. The grimwalker eyes? Crimson. So unless eye color changes with transfer, that's probably not right.

dont mind me im just thinking about how hunter was possibly made as a future host for belos’s mind. like how belos’s body is failing him so he needs a younger and healthier body to continue his reign in the boiling isles. thinking about how hunter can be all of that, young and active with a body already used to fighting and stress. thinking about how not many people have even seen his face and how isolated he is. how those are perfect components for no one to miss hunter when he’s gone. how the only association the people have to him is his voice but that’s going to change as he grows up and how his stature will too. thinking about how hunter was raised to be lamb for slaughter for belos’s plan. thinking about how he doesn’t deserve this and that he’s just a kid.
