Character type: lives to spite god/whoever

It was either them, one of their dads, or that one character who's died at least 50 times but never stays dead, but they have the most trauma from this (they get clothes later in the story but this is what they look like when first encountered)

I've posted about them before (in that picture they were 18 and here they're 58) but this is Tomino, Asazan's God of Eternity. They're the kid of the God of Life Alice and the God of Death Ceasar. This immediately pissed off Asazan's Creator, Maryrose, because Alice was her son, and She only created him because She didn't want Ceasar to be known about. The parents knew this wouldn't fly and so raised him among humans to hopefully keep him safe.

When they were like, 10, their grandma literally sent them and a bunch of their human friends to Hell to hopefully solve Her little problem. This didn't work as Tomino just came back only missing all the skin on their arms. When they turned 18 She just hired a mortal to kill them (and also "killed" Ceasar Herself for good measure).

Only issue is Tomino can't be killed.

Tomino was forced, for 40 YEARS, to live as this mortal's reflection and promised her that the second they escaped she would die and so would everyone she'd ever loved.

When they turned 58 they finally escaped and kept their promise, killing her first and going through the village murdering her family by night. They finally calmed down when they got to the friends part and realized that one of her roommates was literally the only remaining person alive who knew about the suffering they'd gone through and wanted to help them recover. He was one of the human friends they saved from Hell and he genuinely wanted to return the favor.

As of the current position in the story, they're living with their human boyfriend and trying to recover from being isolated for a majority of their life. They've also reconnected with their dads (Ceasar came back) and killed Maryrose.

「富野さんは編集がいいんですよ。キャラクターが喋ってる途中で次にセリフがあるだろうなっていうところの頭を残して切る。あれで不思議なリズムが出るんですよ」と出渕氏が語ると、富野監督は「だけどそれに関してね、クソミソにね、富野編集下手だよねって言ってる・・・庵野ってやつがいた!!!」と吠え、会場は拍手も交えた大爆笑。出渕氏は「庵野くんの話を知ってる人もいるかもしれないですけど(笑)僕も一番最初『逆シャア』見た時にちょっと違和感があったんですよ。でもその後に見返すことがあって「これは面白い」と。要するに1回見ただけじゃわからないことがたくさんある。親切設計してないんですよ。説明するところも全部ダイアローグの中に込めてるんですよね」と話すと、ちょっと忘れていたから冒頭5分を今日見たという富野監督は「本当にびっくりした、頭の3,4分の編集、うまいなぁ〜!」と自画自賛。「⻑編映画を作っていく時の面白さっていうのは、映像のリズム感で物語を語れるっていう部分なんです。そういう意味では『シャア』はそれなりに頑張ってるんじゃないのかなって気はしてますので、そこは見てください」と語り、これから見る観客の期待を高めていた。
