Here’s a little accessibility/ease of use Tumblr thing a learned recently:

If you’re going directly to someones blog and they have a custom theme that makes it difficult/impossible to navigate, reblog, like, etc (ahem, like yours truly), swap where you’re putting their name in the URL. For example,

netscapenavigator-official.tumblr.com will give you my blog page under its custom theme.

tumblr.com/netscapenavigator-official will give you my blog page, but with the default Tumblr theme.

This (obviously) only works on desktop for people who use custom themes, but it’s just a fun little thing I found out and often use because a few of my favorite Sims 4 CC Creators have custom themes that behave oddly on my computer’s display resolution for some reason.

i srsly want to know why a username might just be " unavailable " . its just baffling to me .. ive looked up usernames on here that ive wanted and there is no blog when you type tha url , it doesnt @ anyone when you try to @ the username , but its still just .... unavailable . and its not offensive or anything , they arent slurs ir cuss words , in almost every case its been a name that ive wanted . it still wont let me take the username . im also confused on where it says that a blog might just be hidden , because i cant figure out how to hide my own blog , in account settings or regular settings , so how and why are these blogs potentially able to avoid being seen or @ by anyone ? i hope this doesnt sound accusatory , as thats not my intention , im just . genuinely confused liek whats going on here . i dont get it
