Regan: So, with most of the head office still under construction, I hope you all don't mind having to hold this board meeting here in our home once again. Which brings me to the first point on the agenda... The reconstruction of the office has gone over budget, and with the bad financial year we had last year, I'm afraid it means we might have to rethink some of our investments.
Tumblr media
Ellen: If I may have a suggestion... I don't see why keeping the estate in Académie Le Tour is necessary.
Regan: Good thinking, Vice President.
Tumblr media
Goneril: But— I thought you had fond memories of your time spent in that house, Elena. Plus, Hal and Desdemona are going to college soon, am I supposed to send them to live in the dorms?!
Ellen: Look, it's simply not worth it to maintain that big house for a maximum of one of two students at a time to live in it. Sure, we could rent it to other students, but then what would be the point of the elite accommodation? We should simply sell it.
Tumblr media
Goneril: Regan, do you agree with this?
Regan: Well, I can see why you'd consider keeping the house a long term investment in our family's future, it's not that I don't want the best for my children for when they get to college, but the truth is, we need short term solutions now. So yes, putting it on the market after Miranda and Hermia graduate and sharing the profit among all eligible Capps would be the logical thing to do.
Goneril: But that estate is something our father was so proud to have built for his grandchildren. It was his dream to see it get a charter and become a Greek house one day. That dream is now going to be out of reach forever...
Regan: Goneril, please be reasonable here. It simply doesn't make sense to keep the house. We need the money, as bad as that sounds. And with all due respect, you're only a honorary board member... and it's not hard to see why. ... So, all in favour say 'aye'.
Ellen: Aye.
Cornwall: Aye.
Goneril: *sigh*
Tumblr media
Ellen: By the way, Regan, where is that lovely baby chair from?
Regan: Oh, it was a gift from a business partner if I recall. But I can just give it to you, Cosima has almost outgrown it now. ... Unless of course you have the misfortune of having a boy.
Goneril: You wouldn't want that, would you? To end up like Regan, with a male firstborn... As much as I love Constantin – oh, AND Clement –, I just wouldn't wish that on a Capp mother.

Ok, we're all talking about ViolEtte (Viola x Juliette) and Brandina (Brandi x Dina) but can we stop for a second to think how cute the two ships Brandtonio (Brandi x Antonio) and Mirola would be??? (Miranda x Viola)
Brandtonio:
They are both widowed parents.
They both like to cook.
They both are stressed for their kids.
They're both "poor" (well, not Antonio, but I have always imagined that Antonio has argued with his father and therefore does not use the family money)
They're both cute lil babies. They need love. Well, Brandi likes bad boys but she can also feel in love for a italian man who curses while cooking. Antonio can become very fearsome if he fails to cook what he wants to cook or if Romeo touches something in the kitchen.
Imagine how cute a Brandtonio child would be.
Bonus: Antonio Is a good dad, Imagine him taking care of lil unborn baby Broke as his own son 🥺
Imagine the scene: Antonio manages to open a small restaurant after many sacrifices. Job-seeking, Brandi is desperate, Don Lothario tells Brandi that he knows a family of cooks who could hire her. Don goes to meet the Montys on weekends, so he suggests Brandi tò go with him. Brandi asks Antonio if she can work there. The two fall in love after some times working togethet but Brandi is afraid to confess to Antonio that she is pregnant by her late husband, Skip. At a certain point, however, she is forced to admit it and Antonio tells her that it's fine with him and that he can be a father to that child too and Brandi is like 🥺🥺🥺🥺
Mirola:
They both have complicated lives. Viola doesn't have a canon story but you can make up anything, Miranda lives under the constant pressure of her mother who wants her as a perfect heir when Consort doesn't consider her a possible heir at all and Miranda DOES NOT WANT to be part of the Capps. She would like to escape from her family. She wants to be a normal teen, with her hobbes, her wishes. She wants to make her errors, be free, not a doll on a shelf.
I have the headcanon that Viola is a very hyperactive and sociable girl, while Miranda hides her insecurities under a rebellious, annoying, spoiled girl personality. I like to imagine if by meeting Viola she could finally find a shoulder to cry on, first a friend to let off steam with and then slowly begin to discover her bisexuality and discover herself in love with her.
Bonus: drama. Imagine creating a situation where maybe for reason X Miranda believes that Viola might like Tybalt, so out of spite Miranda tries to seduce Mercutio but Mercutio likes Tybalt and Tybalt like Mercutio. Imagine if Viola and Miranda have been secretly friends for a long time (secretly because of the feud) one day Viola disappears and the police accuse Tybalt precisely because someone believed that Viola liked Tybalt. Boom. Drama in the family. Miranda hating Tybalt. CHAOS.

The Beginning of Twisted Pleasantview
Pleasantview used to be a happy and relaxed town, but new faces and the recent surge of disappearances has been stirring up tension. Can the younger generation solve the ongoing problems in town and restore Pleasantview to what it used to be?
Special Notes:
Each day, a premade sim will disappear (this includes bin sims and children). Every sim will be assigned a number and if their number is selected, they will be sent elsewhere
Every five days, one of the sims who mysteriously disappeared will die. This will be chosen randomly
The three Veronaville families alongside the Grunt, Curious and Specter families will be added. They are not immune to deaths and disappearances
The Strangetown sims are all mind controlled. If one of two characters (depends on the results of the poll) beats them in a fight, they will return to normal and be befriended. The Capps or Montys will also be mind controlled after one member from the other family is befriended, and can be restored in the same way
Dustin and Dirk will have their parent (Brandi and Darren) protected, while Angela and Lilith protect each other. Also Daniel and Mary Sue have a 50% chance of both being the first disappearance if either Angela or Lilith are chosen, and Beau and Unborn Baby Broke are not protected. Choose wisely!

Extra Veronaville sims
As you can see I added several sims to Veronaville:
Beatrice Monty aka unborn baby Monty- Claudio & Olivia Monty were supposed to have third child called Viola, but as I always rename Monty twins from Beatrice & Benedick to Viola & Sebastian, she got Bea name
Hermia Capp - french bio of Cornwall Capp mentions Hermia as his daughter, original Hermia was renamed to Helena
Edmund & Edgar Capp - twin sons of Regan & Cornwall
Benedick Capp - son of Kent Capp, because Beatrice needed love interest
Kate Monty - fourth child of Patrizio & Isabella Monty, Bianca needed her sister
Benvolio Monty - son of Kate Monty, as I needed love interest for new Hermia
Rest of them is resurrected.

Even while retired, Consort still manages the Capp businesses and watches over the family finances carefully. Now that he knows Hermia will take over and he needs to make arrangements for his last will, he makes sure each of his many grandchildren gets a good amount of money from him. He even secures a nice paycheck for Kent's unborn baby, just to make things fair.
Tumblr media
Other than that, his daily life isn't particularly eventful. He's glad to take it slow now in his final days and even gets to appreciate small things in life. Like Edgar making Ian's job harder by leaving fur all over the expensive kitchen counters.

N and/or T for the ask game? c:
N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice): Since I already answered this one for Deltarune I'll be answering this one for my second primary interest, The Sims 2! :) 1. I wish Simmers cared less about what other people think on what they do in their Sandbox game at times. The most interesting stories and gameplays were those of Simmers who just fully played their game the way they wanted to. For example, Alpha CC often gets kinda looked down upon in the Sims 2 fandom nowadays and while the more realistic look definitely isn't my cup of tea I love how much time these Simmers put into their Sims and general enjoyment. Heck my favourite Sims Streamer plays with Alpha CC haha! Or heck, if you want to pair Buzz Grunt with Brandi Broke, please do that, have fun! Who cares how random some of it is.
2. I honestly would love to see more stuff related to Veronaville, Belladonna Cove and Desiderata Valley. The fandom really loves Pleasantview and Strangetown and while I definitely love those towns I feel like the other ones can be quite interesting as well sometimes and do deserve some love.
3. Would love to see more fanart, especially of the spin-off games, who get so little attention but are quite interesting. While it's quite easy to find when you know where to look, there are so many characters that would look so nice in art! :'D
T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending, about anything at all (gender identity, sexual or romantic orientation, extended family, sexual preferences like top/bottom/switch, relationship with poetry, seriously anything): Answering this one for The Sims 2 and Deltarune hehe! I'm always bad with coming up with these from the top of my head so I may be forgetting a few but here are some that immediately pop in my mind:
For The Sims 2: - Tybalt Capp, Hal Capp, Orion Tricou, Annie Howell, Nervous Subject and Tank Grunt are all gay. Nothing can change this for me haha. I refuse to ever pair them with a Sim of the opposite gender. - Daniel Pleasant and Mary-Sue Pleasant both made mistakes in their relationship and will likely never manage to work out romantically. The best option for them is to get a divorce and once they've had the time to work on themselves I can see them becoming very close friends again, but that's also where it stays. - All of the Tricou Sims were Vampires and Jon Smith isn't a good person despite what his personality may tell you. - Veronaville is doomed to follow a similar fate to what they were based on, meaning many people will die. The only difference is that they may be able to write the ending to their tale. - Sims biology works very different, hence pretty much anyone would be able to have a biological kid, regardless of gender. This means two female Sims or two male Sims can also have biological kids. I mean heck, the game gives me this option, why not run with it? Sims 2 biology is way too much fun not to see what kids will look like! xD - Romeo Monty, Hermia Capp, Puck Summerdream, Hal Capp and Unborn Baby Broke (who is named Skippy in my game) are trans. I also really like the headcanon of trans Jenny Smith.
For Deltarune: - Jevil, Spamton, Berdly, Noelle, Rouxls, Diamond King and Swatch are all trans. (Of course Kris, Seam, Mettaton and Mew Mew are in canon, but I'm just mentioning headcanons here). - Darkners are NOT one or two days old. I really dislike the headcanon that they became sentient the moment their fountains were open. I feel like they are all AT LEAST as old as their Light World objects are, if not older. As of right now I headcanon while some Darkners came with their objects, some existed long before them and once an object came into the world with their properties they became connected to it. Upon being connected to an object their strengths and capabilities increase. The Fountains are moreso a bridge if anything that makes it possible for Lightners to properly interact with them or see them. - Spamton and Jevil were in a sense written to be each other's counterpart. A balance so to say. Hence while their first instinct is to dislike each other, they grow especially close and inseparable over time. - Kris is selectively mute and has a form of autism. They are capable of speaking at times, but when they can't they use sign language which most people around them know by now. Ralsei, Berdly and Noelle also have a form of Autism. - Both Spamton and Jevil have a form of Tourettes and ADHD. - The reason Rouxls enjoyed long dungeon walks is because of the fact he got to speak to most of the people King Spades inprisoned. This includes the Diamond King, with who he became especially close. - Rouxls was once married to King Spades. When King Spades turned out the way he did he stripped Rouxls off his title, but a part of him couldn't bear to part entirely with him, hence he got turned into the Duke of Puzzles. - Jevil is the direct cause of Seam's injuries, which happened during a performance and were the final blow that made King Spades decide to have Seam imprison him. - Seam is likely one, if not the most powerful entity we'll ever encounter in the Dark World. - The Weather People from Chapter 3 are siblings, twins to be more specific and I will die on this hill unless proven wrong lmao. Which knowing my luck will probably happen. :'D - Noelle was the one that caused so much destruction to the first half of Chapter 2. It's why Queen knew she was powerful and wanted to protect her from it, she's witnessed it first hand! - Spamton is not and has never been an Addison which is why he always struggled to fully fit in with them or sell properly. He looks an awful lot like them, but he still isn't an Addison. His hair also was never fully white. - Noelle is a lesbian, Susie is bi, Kris is pan, Berdly is bi, Ralsei is pan, Spamton is pan (which with Sweepstakes seems to be confirmed as canon?), Jevil is pan, Rouxls is gay, Queen is bi, Tasque is a lesbian. Aaand I can go on like this for a while haha. - After the events of the game Spamton sort of becomes Kris's adoptive uncle and Jevil Noelle's adoptive uncle. - Kris and Berdly become a couple somewhere in college. - More of a theory as of right now, but I headcanon there are multiple Knights, with there only being one TRUE Knight. - Another that's moreso a theory as of right now. But I think Ralsei is aware of the Player, knows outside knowledge and actively despises us. This is why he wants those moments alone with Kris so he can speak with them, one on one without having someone spying on them. I also don't think Ralsei is evil, but he will end up doing questionable things that will end up hurting his friends without him realizing it. - I refuse to believe Kris and Berdly dislike each other, especially after Sweepstakes. I feel like the two have a rival-like relationship and love to tease each other. But at the end of the day when all is said and done they regularly love playing games with each other and probably have the weirdest Minecrap server out of everyone haha. I mean heck, when you give the gift to Berdly Kris runs over to him of their own accord to hand it over haha. - I like to think Berdly is pretty good at painting and drawing!
Sooooo, that's all for now lmao! If I remember any that I might have missed, I'll post them somewhere over time! xD

We Are (A) Family 🩷
Chapter 6: Pink Or Blue?
Stella & Kelly find out if baby Severide is a boy or girl.
Stella was now 24 weeks pregnant. She had comfortably settled into working at the firehouse where Boden made sure her shifts lined up with Kelly’s, or as much as he could. Even still, Stella would be there for the night shifts and make herself busy. Honestly, she spent a lot of time ordering things off Amazon. A new package seemed to show up at their front door of the loft daily. Stella’s online shopping made her husband feel exasperated but she was giving him what he had always wanted. He was going to be a dad. So as far as he was concerned she could do all the shopping she wanted. Stella had avoided buying clothes as they still didn’t know if their little one is a girl or boy. They were going to be finding out at the end of the week. Then Kelly knew the shopping would only get worse. But he wouldn’t have it any other way.
Kelly had completely settled into returning as Squad lieutenant. He had ZERO regret about turning down the investigator position. He was putting his family first and that’s all that mattered to him. He still from time to time helped OFI with cases in and around Chicago. It kept him engaged with arson work but it kept him home. Always going home to his wife and unborn child. He had no doubt this was the right decision.
Stella and Kelly had decided to not do a gender reveal but Stella had a cute way to let their family know after they find out. They wanted to find out together. Just the two of them. Have that joyous moment alone.
Friday had finally come. Their appointment was set for after shift at 4:30pm. Stella was anxious all day, anxious in a good way. She was excited. The anticipation was killing her. 51 had set up a baby pool. Stella would walk by it multiple times a day and would only amp up the excitement. Kelly finished his shift report paperwork and made his way to the bullpen where he found his wife who was lost in thought.
“Babe”
No response.
“Stella. Earth to Stella”
“Ohhh. Hi handsome”
“Well hello there. Ready to go? Let’s go see if my new favourite colour is pink or blue?”
“I’m so ready”
“We got this, Stella Kidd”
Later, as Stella laying with jelly spread over her belly. Ultrasound technician doing circles with the probe around which seemed like a eternity for Stella’s liking, Kelly’s too. Finally. “Alright. Here we go. Baby is giving us the goods” saying the technician. Turning the screen towards Stella. “All girl in there. Congratulations. IT’S A GIRL. Ok, Stella. I will get out of your hair. All measurements look good. Make sure to make your next appointment for 4 weeks” Stella looked up at her husband who’s hand was firmly holding her belly. Tears flowing down her flushed cheeks. “A baby girl. Our baby is a girl. I always knew you were meant to be a girl dad. She is gonna have you wrapped around her finger.” smirking Stella. Knowing there was nothing more true. “Oh Stella, we are way past that point. She already does” replying Kelly. Kelly continuing “A baby girl. WOW. I have never felt so happy. You know aside from marrying you” both chuckling simultaneously. “So, your new favourite colour is pink?” Stella laughing. “Well it definitely is at this very moment”
As they made their way home. Stopping and picking up a celebratory dinner from their favourite takeout restaurant. Made a quick stop at Target so Stella could pick a item out for their announcement to the 51 family. A pink onesie.
There had been a long standing 51 group chat.
Kelly
Stella
Boden
Casey
Brett
Cruz
Capp
Tony
Violet
Herman
Ritter
Mouch
Carver
Kylie
Stella making her husband taking a selfie which he rarely would allow but this time he was more than willing. A picture of them, holding their pink onesie.
Stella (to group chat): “Well, our Squad lieutenant is officially outnumbered. Baby girl coming soon”
Stella and Kelly’s phones both bombing with messages from everyone. They couldn’t of been more excited, knowing this baby girl was so lucky. To not only have the most loving and doting mommy and daddy. Also, so many aunts, uncles and papa Boden.
As they made their way to bed. Stella curled up against her husbands chest.
“Well girl dad. Today was quite a day. We are so blessed. I’m so blessed to have you, our baby girl. Our little family. Thinking back to my past, I never thought I would have this. I’m the luckiest woman in the world” Tears dropping down from the corner of her eye. Kelly wiping her tear soaked cheek where he also had tears escaping his glowing blue eyes.
“Stella. I am the lucky one. You have made me whole. We have gone through so much but what has never wavered is my love for you. I am so completely in love with you. So in love with our little girl” rubbing Stella’s growing belly and giving her a soft kiss. “My girls. My world. My everything”
Stella’s eyes starting to feel heavy. “I’m so tired”
“Sleep baby. Goodnight my girls. I love you both so much”
“Goodnight my handsome husband. We love you”

Top 10 fave Sims? ;) Doesn't have to be in a particular order if you can't choose.
*cracks knuckles* buckle up, here's an entire list of my top 10 sims explaining why i like them so much
10. Dina Caliente; the lass who started my obsession with the sims 2 right before i made this blog. I was watching a video about the game for nostalgias sake, when suddenly this whole backstory and theory about her came up. Back when I played the game when I was younger I did realise Bella Goth was missing, but I never really looked into Dina's aspirations. So when it came up, the 11 year old inside me was SCREAMING and made me dive right into the entire Sims lore. So yeah, Dina Caliente really deserves to be on my list
9. Cassandra Goth; I really like that the devs gave those pigtails, even though that doesn't seem like a very popular opinion. Cassandra is set as a kinda naive girl, who is convinced that the local stud of the town loves her just as much as she loves him. And her pigtails really reflects this in my opinion; if she was given another haircut, I think she seems much less naive and the situation with Don would seem a little out of place
8. Kn (_) t F (_) ta (I can't write out his name without this post getting hidden); the sim with the most corrupted character file in the entire game, because most of the information is missing. If you revive him, he gets the age set of a baby but the skin of an adult, and looks very off in the videos I've seen about him. He's not "supposed to" be in the game, which makes it even more creepier and I love it. He kinda reminds me when a character "knows" that they're in a game, if that makes sense? He really is the cherry on the cake in terms of the messy coding of ts2, an icon
7. Mercutio Monty; the coolest dude in Veronaville. Perhaps it's thanks to the original play, but I interpret him as a chaotic and sweet guy. Would probably know the entire mamma mia soundtrack by heart and would be friends with everyone if it weren't for that meddling rivalry
6. Olive Specter; do I need to say more? Everytime someone asks why I like ts2 so much I pull up Sims Wiki and explain that this old lady killed 19 people just so she could woohoo with Grim Reaper, resulting in her getting a child that has been taken away and ended up getting adopted by 2 evil scientist that run experiments on him. Yes, Bella Goth is the icon and face of the franchise but this lady entire backstory really is the best example of how chaotic and dramatic ts2 really is with its lore
5. Lilith Pleasant; I didn't realise how much I love the lass until recently. A redhead punk? YES LADS!!! Absolute ICON. Good for her to rebel against her parents
4. Tank Grunt; where do I even start with this poor poor guy. He seems sure his dad really likes him, and even considers his dad as his (only) friend. Seemingly is the favorite child in his dysfunctional family, but is just as hurt as his brothers, since he's doesn't really befriend any people his own age and depends all his social life on his dad.
3. Tybalt Capp; one long lad of teenage rage. His design is one of the most, if not the most, iconic looks of the entire game. With his jacket he just kinda looks like some guy (to me!!!) but the mask??? Absolute SERVE and really completes the entire look. The red jacket and matching red mask also really reflects his personality I think, since it somehow makes him look even more aggressive (like, blue or purple would reflect his teenage rage much less in my opinion)
2. Lazlo Curious; my eyes look at this man and my brain goes "yes". Iconic design with his green glasses and purple shirt and I LOVE the fact he is portrayed as a bit less studious, but nevertheless being just as smart. Lazlo is by far the coolest personality-wise design in my opinion, and he is the embodiment of "science can be fun!" with his more seemingly laid-back personality
1. Ophelia Nigmos; my absolute favorite sim and I have no idea why, I just really like her?? It may be caused by a certain fanfic I've read that made me start this blog, but uhh, regardless, she is amazing and she deserves the best
(honorable mentions: lyla grunt, unborn baby monty)

Pre-Tragedy Living Arrangements -- Original Residences
Tumblr media
This is a continuation of last week’s essay. To read that one, if you haven’t already, click here.
Essay Word Count: 3,463 Image Count: 39 Thank You Word Count: 213 Total Word Count: 3,676
If residing at the manor or the ranch would have been somewhat problematic for both families, then where did they live before anyone died? Well, that's something you will have to decide for yourself. Like many other aspects of Veronaville, there isn't much to go off of when deciphering most of these clues. As such, the final decision is yours, and yours alone.
With that in mind, the rest of this essay will be more interpretive than anything else.
Claudio and Olivia’s House
I will be starting with Claudio and Olivia’s family because, in my opinion, finding their home is much less complicated and can be done in as little as one section.
First of all, given their surname, they would have likely lived on Veronaville’s less-populated west side. Second of all, there's an image of two members of this family in what could have been their intended home.
As I mentioned in my essay about the tragedies, a picture exists of Mercutio and Olivia Monty, plus an early version of Juliette Capp, at what appears to be 111 Stratford Street. While there are aesthetic differences between the lot in the picture and the one found in the final product (the doors seen on the upper floor, for example), they are relatively minor in the grand scheme of things. While this lot could easily fit Claudio, Olivia, and the two boys without any trouble, it would have also been possible to find space for the couple’s unborn baby as well.
111 Stratford Street has three rooms on the second floor that are very clearly meant to be bedrooms. There's one larger room at the front of the house with a tannish color (really the only room where you could place a double bed), and two smaller rooms towards the back, one green, one blue. When it comes to choosing a room for the unborn baby to sleep in, you could place both of their older brothers in the blue room and have the baby sleep in the green room, or you could stick a crib in the tan room with Claudio and Olivia.
There is also a small blue room with an ambiguous purpose that is only accessible by using a bridge-like structure on the second floor. Regardless of how you decide to use this room, it is possible to fit a crib, changing table, and one or two more objects in there if you're smart about it.
Cordelia and Caliban’s House
Unlike their Monty counterparts, Cordelia and Caliban's house is much more difficult to find out. Unlike the 111 Stratford Street image, the Capp family storytelling image cannot help when narrowing down residential lots. The reason for this is because, unlike the exterior of 111 Stratford Street remaining intact, the room in this particular picture is missing from the final product. As a result, we need to take more steps to find Tybalt, Juliette, and Hermia's original home.
First of all, we should probably rule out all the western side’s villas that are associated with the rival Monty clan. The next thing on the list would be to rule out any residential lots that could be considered too small for a family of five. As such, we should probably discount all single-family homes that have less than three bedrooms. Given the size of Cordelia and Caliban's family, I’d imagine fitting all five sims into a one or two bedroom house would have been a very tight squeeze.
I also believe we could also remove each disconnected two house lots from the list. Personally speaking, I find they work better for a family whose structure is more akin to Regan’s household at the beginning of the game than they do for families like Cordelia’s.
Removing all the lots with any of these elements leaves us with four houses where Cordelia, Caliban, and their family may have lived. These lots are 80 Bard Boulevard, 95 Bard Boulevard, 7 Chorus Court, and 54 Via Veronaville. All four of these lots have at least three bedrooms, thereby providing the family with copious amounts of space. Also, unlike the lots with separate houses, 7 Chorus Court and 54 Via Veronaville each have a bridge-like structure on the upper floor, thus making it easier to use them as a one-family home.
At this point, it's the player's decision more than anything else. Honestly, you could easily pick one lot and call it a day. But for someone me who feels the need to narrow everything down to the most minute detail, my next step would be to look at some Shakespeare.
Locating Cordelia and Caliban’s House with a Shakespearean Lens
It might seem strange to use the Shakespeare canon to find one specific house in a video game, but doing so might help us narrow down our options with even further. In a previous essay, I mentioned that the scenario presented to us at the Capp Manor echoed Romeo & Juliet’s balcony scene; however, an eagle-eyed player has likely noticed that the Capp Manor lacks one key component, that component being the balcony itself.
Juliette Capp’s current residence missing any sort of balcony is something that always struck me as rather odd. The balcony scene is one of the most famous scenes in Shakespeare canon so its absence is something a Shakespeare buff would most likely notice. Whether this is likely yet another oversight or something the developers deemed unimportant is unknown; however, perhaps the reason for this is because Juliette's balcony was located at the house where she and her siblings lived before Cordelia and Caliban died.
Unlike the Capp Manor, these four lots all have at least one open outdoor space on the upper floor that could qualify as a "balcony" where Juliette could express her feelings. With that in mind, the "balconies" found at 7 Chorus Court and 54 Via Veronaville seem ill-suited for delivering any grand soliloquies, as their primary use is to allow sims to move between houses instead. By that logic, it is unlikely that Juliette Capp would have lived in either of those homes, leaving us with the two options found on Bard Boulevard.
80 and 95 Bard Boulevard's Bedrooms
The houses found on Bard Boulevard have some similarities that could point to either of them being Juliette’s childhood home. For starters, both of them have three bedrooms. 80 Bard Boulevard’s three bedrooms are all on the upper floor, a large bedroom on its left side of the house (forty-four squares), and two smaller bedrooms to the right (the one up top is eighteen and one-half squares, while the one on the bottom is twenty-two and one-half squares).
Conversely, 95 Bard Boulevard’s bedrooms are all rather small, each being twelve squares total, thereby making it impossible to a double bed in any of them. That said, there is a large section of the hallway upstairs that could easily be made into a room for Cordelia and Caliban, whether by adding a wall or a divider of some sort.
The “Balcony” Scene
This famous scene begins after Romeo and his friends leave the Capulet’s party. Not wanting to say goodbye to Juliet just yet, Romeo sneaks away from Mercutio and Benvolio and hops over the garden wall. Upon reaching the other side, Romeo finds himself in Capulet’s backyard orchard. After finding a suitable hiding place, he sees that Juliet is standing on the balcony outside her bedroom window. After that, there’s some soliloquies and some dialogue, and the two have promised to marry by the end of the scene.
This scene takes place in the Capulet family’s backyard, which is described as an orchard. While trees are present on both lots, they are rather sparse and don’t bear fruit (this feature that wasn’t even available in TS2 until the Seasons EP).
As for the balcony itself, the one in Romeo & Juliet is supposed to be located outside Juliet’s bedroom window, though this is not replicated in any of “balconies” on either lot, both of which are only accessible through doors. In addition, Romeo has to climb the garden wall and find a hiding place before his soliloquy in Romeo & Juliet, while in The Sims 2, neither lot has a large garden wall.
The Balconies Themselves
Tumblr media
Casa di Giulietta in Verona, Italy. Originally built in the early 14th-century, it is now a popular tourist attraction.
Much like in Shakespeare’s play, “Giulietta" reached her balcony by walking through a window. In addition, this image contains a large wall to the left, likely similar to the one Romeo is supposed to climb to reach the Capulet’s orchard in Romeo & Juliet.
Tumblr media
80 Bard Boulevard’s “balcony” (front yard). It can be used to move between the large bedroom on the right to one of the smaller bedrooms on the left. Since the balcony in Romeo & Juliet is supposed to be located in the back yard, odds are this isn’t the one we should be looking at.
Tumblr media
80 Bard Boulevard’s “balcony” (backyard). Could be used to move between the upstairs hallway and the master bedroom. By taking the size of the bedroom into account, it would have likely belonged to Cordelia and Caliban rather than Juliette.
Tumblr media
95 Bard Boulevard’s “balcony” located in the backyard.
Tumblr media
You can only enter and exit through this door that leads to the upstairs hallway.
Even though the balconies in the play and at the Casa di Giulietta are accessible from a window, the “balconies” on both lots can only be reached using a door. As such, it is impossible to narrow down our options on this point alone.
In addition, neither lot’s backyard can be accessed by climbing a garden wall (something that is impossible in game, by the way). That being said, both lots are surrounded by fences, a design choice that could be referencing the way Romeo enters the scene in the play.
Tumblr media
80 Bard Boulevard’s backyard. If Romeo were to hide anywhere in the backyard, the larger tree is really his only option. There are other trees on this lot, but those two are the only ones behind the house.
Tumblr media
95 Bard Boulevard’s backyard “garden” along with three trees (none of which bear fruit) that can be seen from the “balcony.”
When it comes to a possible hiding spot for Romeo, his best option would likely be to use the maze. Given the size of the hedges, finding a suitable hiding place should be pretty easy.
Looking at each of the similarities these two lots share with both each other and the Shakespeare play shows that a case could be made for Juliette’s family living in either house. With that in mind, there is one last major thing I want to go over.
Another Look at the Storytelling Image
Back when I wrote my essay on the tragedies, I hypothesized that the room in the Capp storytelling image was located at 95 Bard Boulevard. Since then, a closer look at the layout of the lot has shown that my original interpretation was not as strong as I thought it was. As such, I thought it would be a good idea to try and recreate it on both lots to see if we can figure anything out that way.
Before we go any further, I am going to provide a link for the storytelling image in case you want to follow along. To see the room I’m recreating, click here.
Recreating the Storytelling Image at 80 Bard Boulevard
Tumblr media
80 Bard Boulevard’s two smaller rooms.
Tumblr media
The angle I will be using to recreate the scene.
Tumblr media
I moved the old windows elsewhere and replaced them with the ones found in the storytelling image. As you can see, I even made sure the shutters were red as well. That being said, I couldn’t get the shutters inside the room no matter how hard I tried, so it’s not perfect.
Tumblr media
I also added the cribs and made sure their placements were the same as in the original picture.
Tumblr media
The view from the window above the pink crib. Mostly grass, but trees and fence can also be seen.
Tumblr media
The view from the window above the yellow crib. Mostly grass, but trees and fence can also be seen.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After completing all those steps, I moved the yellow crib and the window above it over one square to the left.
Given how close the yellow crib is to the door, it’s doubtful that this room would have been the one in the image should this be the correct distance between the two cribs.
That said, I am including this image so you can get a general idea of how this room would look with the cribs, walls, and carpet.
Tumblr media
I also included a picture of the view outside. As you can see, the backyard’s footpath is visible.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Two angles from the bottom room, though I will only be editing the angle shown in the bottom image. The reason for this is because I doubt the angle shown in the top image would have been used, as that door is the one leading to the balcony.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here’s what the room looks like with the windows, cribs, walls, and carpet.
Tumblr media
The view outside the window above the pink crib. While the grass is visible, you can also see the sky, trees, fence, sidewalk, and street.
Tumblr media
The view from the window above the yellow crib. The grass is visible, but so is a tree, the fence, and a teeny-tiny bit of street, sidewalk, and sky.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is how the room looks should you move the yellow crib and its corresponding window one space to the left. For some reason, I didn’t get a closer shot of the view outside the window’s new position. That said, it’s basically the same as the other one (grass, trees, fence, sky, and bits of sidewalk).
Recreating the Storytelling Image at 95 Bard Boulevard
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As you can see here, there is no way to easily recreate the storytelling image with the wall separating the rooms in place. That said, removing the wall can easily solve this problem.
While removing the wall might seem strange, I believe it is possible Cordelia and Caliban could have renovated the house sometime after the picture was taken, thereby creating three separate bedrooms for their children. This may seem like a stretch to some, but renovating a home this way is a fairly common occurrence where I come from.
I didn’t do the same with 80 Bard Boulevard, basically because it wouldn’t really change anything. The front room could fit the yellow crib in both places without needing to put baby in a corner. The back room, on the other hand, would need to also have the hallway wall removed in order to prevent the yellow crib from touching that room’s upper left corner.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here it is without the wall and with the cribs.
Tumblr media
Also, I am including shots angled upwards for the room at 95 Bard Boulevard. I tried to do the same with 80 Bard Boulevard’s bedrooms, but it looked like crap no matter how hard I tried.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After that, I replaced the windows from the final product with those seen in the storytelling image.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then I added the walls and carpet.
Tumblr media
Like in the storytelling image, the view from the window above the pink crib from this angle is all grass.
Tumblr media
Conversely, the view from the window above the yellow crib has extra elements that were not present in the storytelling image (street, sidewalk, fence, and trash can).
Tumblr media
This is what the view outside looks like from this angle. Less grass, more sky, and a little bit of tree above the pink crib.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is how the room looks should you move the yellow crib, along with the window above it, one space to the left.
Tumblr media
After moving the window above the yellow crib, I took a picture of the view outside. Unlike the window above the pink crib, this window’s view will never be all grass like it is in the storytelling image (though there’s no more trash can).
The Verdict
In the end, neither of the lots on Bard Boulevard can perfectly recreate the storytelling image. That being said, they both come pretty close depending on how you look at it. Recreating the scene at 80 Bard Boulevard is rather easy should you use the front room. Given its size, you do not need to move any walls around in order to fit everything inside. That being said, neither window has the same view as the one in the Capp Family storytelling image.
The bedrooms at 95 Bard Boulevard are all too small to accurately recreate the scene as is. That being said, removing the wall between two of the rooms solves this problem. As mentioned above, it is possible Cordelia and Caliban might have split a room in half so each of their kids had their own rooms when they got older. When it comes to the windows, the one above the yellow crib will never have a completely grassy view. The window above the pink crib, on the other hand, will show grass and nothing else from certain angles.
As usual, it really all comes down to the player, as arguments can be made for either lot being the original home of Tybalt, Juliette, and Hermia Capp. And if you don’t think the three lived on either lot at any point, that’s okay too. The Sims 2 is one of those games where most of the canon aspects are the player’s decision. While Maxis provides bits and pieces of information, it is up to the player to create their own story and parts of the lore for themselves.
With all that out of the way, I still choose to interpret Juliette, Tybalt, and Hermia’s childhood home as 95 Bard Boulevard. This is more of a personal preference than anything, as there isn’t really any major deciding factor to logically narrow it down. That said, there are a few little details that make this choice the more appealing one for me.
95 Bard Boulevard's three smaller bedrooms allow Tybalt, Juliette, and Hermia to each have their own space. As someone who enjoys designing bedrooms that match their owner’s personalities, all three sims having their own room is more appealing to me personally. While there isn’t a large bedroom for Cordelia and Caliban on this lot per sé, a makeshift room could easily fit in the large, empty part of the hallway.
The “balcony” at 95 Bard Boulevard seems to function closer to the one in Romeo & Juliet than the ones at 80 Bard Boulevard. Like the balcony commonly associated Romeo & Juliet, the one at 95 Bard Boulevard has only one entry point. The ones at 80 Bard Boulevard, however, have two separate entry points, thereby making them less private.
The maze in 95 Bard Boulevard’s backyard serves as a much better hiding place than any of the trees in 80 Bard Boulevard’s backyard.
The view from the window above the pink crib at 95 Bard Boulevard matches the one seen in the storytelling image. This is not the case for any of 80 Bard Boulevard’s windows.
Regan and company are already living at 80 Bard Boulevard in my game.
Final Thoughts
Whenever I choose a house for any family in The Sims, the first thing I do is make sure that they all fit comfortably. While it is possible to make alterations to accommodate your sims, I’m one of those people who tries my best to not make too many. If a family can’t fit in a house, then I tend to keep searching until I can find one where they can, and if I can’t do that, then I usually just build a house that does or find one in the lots & houses bin.
This philosophy of mine definitely plays a role when it comes to moving sims from the family bin into the neighborhood. For example, whenever I play Strangetown, I always move the Singles girls into the house next to the Grunts. Whenever I play Pleasantview, I always move the Burbs into a house with two or more bedrooms usually depending on whether or not I want John and Jennifer to expand their family. Heck, I use this philosophy whenever I play Veronaville since I always move Goneril’s family into one of those lots where two houses are connected to each other by a catwalk on the upper floor.
In the end, choosing homes for your sims really comes down to play style and how you interpret the family in question. After all, there aren’t any right or wrong answers when it comes to the places your sims call home.
Thank you so much for reading part two! This idea is rather recent in the grand scheme of things, but I thought that it would fit in quite nicely given what’s been covered so far.
You’ve probably noticed that I’ve been using pictures in the past two entries. These two essays are definitely more on the visual side. As such, it was necessary for me to show rather than tell as a result. For the record, each in-game image was taken by me from my Ultimate Collection copy. Doing so was a necessity, especially since I needed to place certain objects in certain places and recreate a storytelling image, two things I’d rather not bother anyone else with.
As a special bonus, I will also have pictures of how 95 Bard Boulevard and 111 Stratford Street could have looked had Cordelia and Claudio’s families lived there in the past. The furniture I placed in each room will be based on my interpretations regarding the sims living on each lot; though I left the walls and floors as they were in the final product. I plan on queueing them up so they will begin appearing tomorrow.
Once again, thank you so much for reading. I really hope you enjoyed both of these entries.

Note
Umm, hi. What other interesting headcanons can you come up for our favourite characters? Because I can imagine that Erin and her friends in the Singles household are bisexual, and Ajay, Cassandra, Nina and some others are demisexual.
My headcanons are :
-Erin Curious and Beau Broke are Demisexual
-Alexander Goth is Pansexual and later marries a woman
-Pascal Curious and Tank Grunt are Asexual
-Chloe Curious, Angela Pleasant are lesbians
-Nina Caliente, Lazlo Curious, and Lilith Pleasant are Bisexual
-Unborn baby broke, Kent Capp (Obviously), and Ajay Loner are Gay
-Nervous Subject doesn’t care enough about the concept of sexuality to evaluate who he’s attracted to, his life is a bit too messy to consider it yet or ever

Tybalt: You're already doing us all proud, darling.
Ellen: It sure doesn't feel like that with all the ancestral ghosts haunting me at night in this house, it's like they're all out to get me. I hope my pregnancy earns me their approval.
Tybalt: I was talking to the baby.

Personal interpretations of some Shakespearean characters who DO NOT have sims (they are not present in the game.
ATTENTION: Some characters don't have their correct surnames and their role is a bit different, this is because to adapt them to the story we (@gingersimmerr and I) changed a few things, mainly because the family flag of Mercutio and Romeo has made the story a bit... confusing to adapt the other characters.)

Extra Veronaville sims
As you can see I added several sims to Veronaville:
Hermia Capp - french bio of Cornwall Capp mentions Hermia as his daughter, original Hermia was renamed to Helena
Edmund & Edgar Capp - twin sons of Regan & Cornwall Capp
Benedick Capp - son of Kent Capp
Perdita Monty aka unborn baby Monty- Claudio & Olivia Monty were supposed to have third child called Viola, but as I always rename Monty twins from Beatrice & Benedick to Viola & Sebastian, @violetpixels who originally made this save also used this name
Beatrice Monty - daughter of Bianca Monty
Benvolio Monty - son of Antonio & Hero Monty
Kate Monty - fourth child of Patrizio & Isabella Monty, Bianca needed her sister
Lysander & Demetrius Monty - sons of Kate Monty, love interests for Helena & Hermia Capp
All Veronaville sims were replaced with their gallery versions (id: openlyweird). Summerdreams live in Fayebrook (Glimmerbrook)

Tybalt: The Montys... have overstayed their welcome in Veronaville. It's time to get rid of them... once and for all...
Tumblr media
Ellen: Honey, I couldn't agree more, but you're starting to act a little... possessed. Has something happened recently? Have they done something again?
Tybalt: Do I need a specific reason to want them gone? They're ruining this town. Just their... presense... with their stupid tanned skin and pasta dishes... the locals think they're some godsend because they feed them spaghetti for 3 bucks a bowl and smile at them in the streets like psychopaths.
Ellen: Okay... and what do you think we should do?
Tybalt: I need to win the local elections. I need to be district rep. Then I'm sure I can start an investigation into their "business" and get it shut down with a lawsuit or something.
Tumblr media
Ellen: That's if you win the vote. And we still have two years to go.
Tybalt: You're right. In the meantime, we should also consider expanding our family on the same level.
Ellen: What do you mean?
Tumblr media
Tybalt: I know Auntie Regan just gave birth to her heir, but so did Mercutio, and who knows what Romeo has planned with my sister, so the game is on for our generation. We can't stay behind.
Tumblr media
Ellen: Maybe you're right, we can't let them outnumber us. It's time for me to bring a Capp into the world. Maybe that will help your aunt Regan see me as more of an equal on the board of the company, too.
