Spent this week stuffing the local little free libraries!

I went through all my books, read and unread, a massive undertaking that took days. Also sweat and tears. Plus some screaming. Maybe some screeching.

But: ✨️ Over 100 Books Unhauled!!!!! ✨️

These are my TBR shelves. I’ve been working on paring down my collection but there are still Too Many and I’d like to ask: which of these just aren’t worth my time? Terrible, bad, or just meh, I just need a reason to get rid of it and not think about it again.

[Shirt four] Thought it would be fun [to wear later], but nah – wrong purchase.

[Shirt five] Not really feeling this one anymore.

[Shirt six] Too tight.

[Shirt seven] A little tight.

[Dress one] Not really bringing joy anymore even tho it is pretty.

[Shorts one] Not really feeling them anymore.

[Skirt one] Okay, this one hurts because it was one of my prom skirts, but yeah it needs a new home.

[Skirt two] Not feeling it.

[Skirt three] Never actually used.

[Dress two] Too tight and gives me dysphoria.

[Pants one] Way, way too tight.

[Shirt eight] A little tight.

[Shirt nine] Not really feeling this one anymore.

Do you unhaul books or just hold onto everything?

Today is the last day for #ShopYourShelvesBingo hosted by @loveinpanels and I'm wrapping things up with the 'weed an already read book' prompt. My completed bingo card will be in my stories.

I'm terrible about actually getting rid of books, but I do tend to take things off my shelf and banish them to my closet when I don't want them anymore or am deciding whether or not to keep them. These four books are some of my current contenders right now.

• The Holiday Swap by Maggie Knox was cute but ended with a pregnancy, so that was an immediate nope from me.

• My Best Friend's Exorcism by Grady Hendrix was okay. I liked the classic scary movie elements, but it's not something I'll ever reread. I've basically been keeping it as a prop.

• Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng was an enjoyable read and I enjoyed it far more than the show. It's another that I won't be rereading and don't know why I've kept it.

• Daisy Jones & the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid was okay. I liked the interview format and probably would have liked it more if I'd have done the audio. But with recent events surrounding Carrie Soto, I won't be reading anything else by this author and didn't love the book enough to keep it.

It's hard letting go. Especially when you've spent money on things. But it's time. These are coming off my shelf and might find their way to being resold or donated.

I recently got back into reading after not reading much this year. My poor Goodreads challenge is at the lowest its every been. This year I just haven't been in a huge reading mood. Normally I read a little bit throughout the year and make a big dent in my reading challenge even if I don't complete it. Though typically I aim to read about 100-110 books and normally end up reading about 60-70 depending on how I'm feeling during the year.

Now that its the end of the year my reading mood suddenly kicked in full drive. I've been able to finish several books already this month. One of which was sitting on what I like to call my pile of shame for several years. I've also recently bought a lot of books to add to the pile of shame, lol. Whoops.... XD Any who today I organized one of my main bookshelves. It was due for a dusting, plus I've been meaning to go through and see if there were any books that I'm not going to re-read. I ended up with a small stack of books that will be finding a new home at my local library. A few months back I purged a whole tote full of books from years of collecting. I rarely get rid of my books but normally when I do I have a huge stack to donate.

Unhauling:

Fallen, Torment, Passion by Lauren Kate (I've had these for years and I don't see myself continuing the series.)

Vicious by V.E. Schwab (I liked it well enough but I don't see myself reading the next book any time soon. Honestly Eli was insufferable and I don't know if I want to read his pov.)

American Gods by Neil Gaiman (I intend to read this but my copy is a really old paperback. I'd rather read it in hardback or ebook form.)

Unspoken, Untold by Sarah Rees Brennan (I adore this author but this series just wasn't for me. I have the last book and I intend to finish it but after I'll be unhauling it as well.)

All Of Us Villians by Amanda Foody (This was a DNF for me sad to say. It had a strong premise and I heard there was LGBT rep so that's another big plus for me. But I only got one chapter in and I just couldn't.)

A Darker Shade Of Magic V.E.Schwab (Another DNF for me. I tried reading this and just felt myself bored. Which is a shame cause I love this author and the covers to this series were so bomb.)

Keeping You A Secret by Julie Anne Peters (One of the first LGBT books I've ever read. To be honest there is better rep out nowadays and I don't feel the need to hold onto this anymore. It was good for a read but I don't see myself reading it again.)

The Wrong Girl by R.L. Stine (Fear Street was my jam in my teen years and I still enjoy a lot of the older titles. But this particular one is a part of a newer series and I just didn't care for it too much. So its gotta go.)

So This Is Ever After by F.T.Lukens

(I am so sad that I didn't like this book! The premise sounded fun and the cover is a work of freaking art! I'll probably have to make a post about what I didn't like about it. But the short version is I was very annoyed for a good chunk of the book.)

💔📚💔The Most Evil Unhaul Part 2! 💔📚💔

I never actually posted photos of the first evil unhaul, just the pictures of the stuffed ittle free libraries afterwards. My shelves have been overcrowded for some time so this was a necessary evil but still so difficult!

The ladder is full of tbr books that just will never be priority reads. All of them were intresting when I bought them, but a mix of changing tastes and new buys have edged them out. The chair is stacked with the books I've read and no longer need/have room for. A mix of doubles or tales I'm never going to reread.

All of these will end up in little free libraries or donated to the thrift store. Well a few will be put aside for credit at a secondhand bookstore I like!

Deep cleaned my closet and my room today to relieve some stress, and now my back hurts. But anyway I still feel like I have a lot of clothes though I’m giving away so much (mostly to my female relatives). I went through my remaining clothes like 4 times. I think I’ll end up doing another unhaul in December cus I kno for the new year things are going to change.

then went thrifting with my mom (she got a couple of things) and got 2 pair of pants that are the same style but one navy and the other is black, a pair of very dark wash bootcut jeans, a lavender button up that has a single stripe of lace at the cuffs, a beige button up with this cool design in the front, a black dress that has has an ombré effect of polka dots. They’re red and white and scarce at the top and it grows in quantity as they move to the bottom it’s so cute, reminds me of something in the 40s or 50s and I want to where it whenever I go to the south of france. I also got a denim jacket (I’m giving away my other ones) that’s quite different from normal ones and is a dark wash. I got 4 pair of earrings and a cute little black bag covered in sequins. It’s so dainty and definitely more suited for the evening but I don’t care I’m wearing it during the day. I can’t believe someone gave this bag up.

I also got to furniture pieces that I really needed cus I’m redecorating my room. I have this quilt I’m thinking of getting online but I want to ensure it fits, but I think it will. The chair I got is teal (with a small red and ivory floral print on the back) and the quilt is I believe a baby blue and ivory, but has some dark blue on it that I think can compliment the teal. My favorite color is blue so that’s going to be in it a lot and most of the time it’s unintentional cus it happens with my clothes. I also saw this lamp and painting at the store, but didn’t get it cus I wanted to look at other places too.

I love that I always usually never spend more than $100 when thrifting.
