Okay so assuming there is absolutely nothing going on come Halloween night, no ancient threats or out of nowhere invasions or anything, which of the HoM would be up for trick-or-trwating, from most to least hyped?

These 6 would be especially excited for trick-or-treat out of the lot!

Their trick-or-treating would probably consist of them crashing people's homes (enemies and friends alike) to play some harmless (or not) pranks in the spirit of Halloween.

Randy just in general enjoys Halloween and dressing up. Danny is more excited to have Halloween fun with people not from Amity Park (or more like fun to mess with people who are actually afraid/get scared of ghosts unlike most of Amity citizens). Ben and Jun just likes any excuse to mess with people. While Zak and Rex are all up to have some relatively 'normal' fun with a group of friends (something they didnt have many opportunities for when they were younger).

The other three wouldn't mind joining them, but they would be more excited about hosting a big Halloween Party!

Kim, Jake and Jenny always sought out more social forms of holiday celebration, and they really would enjoy hosting a big party, open to all of their friends, be they magical, alien or human. Rex would also be incredibly excited (if not to actually host but to participate in it) because it is another 'normal' experience he never had a chance to get before.

Also can you imagine how rad the party would be???

There is also another thing two of them would be very excited about...

Haunted House/Maze.

Danny and Ben would get into a contest of who could make a better Haunted House/Maze for the party (with some assistance from Randy and Rex).

As I said before, Danny, with all his ghostly powers and expertese would be excited to make a Haunted House for people outside of Amity Park. While Ben would probably rise the challenge to Danny's efforts, saying that he could make a scarier maze.

And the truth is, despite all the ghostly things Danny can do, Ben would make a very decent opposition (and for why, you really need to only refer to Ben 10:AF episode Above and Beyond, that kid can be very sinister lol).

So the party would end up with two haunted mazes, one themed around ghost /spirits /magic, and the other themed around horror movies/sci-fi/aliens, which would fit really well, considering the diversity of their friends. ;D

also i dressed them up like that because

Danny as Phantom, dressed as Fright Knight because i just keep thinking about the dude. Danny as Fenton, a low effort t-shirt because he would be spending more time as Phantom.

Randy as Sorcerer, because despite defeating him, Randy can admit that he was pretty freaking spooky.

Zak as Francis (agent clone boy), because they planned to crash their agency HQ and Zak knew it would annoy Francis.

Jun as Loki of Marvel Variety, because she knows it would annoy Taylor (their universe Loki's demigod son) and it just amuses her in general how popular and different a Marvel Loki is, compared to that Loki she knows and is imprisoned.

Kim as Warmonga, mostly because i wanted to dress her as one of her enemies, but didn't want to go easy way of dressing her up as Shego or Dr. Krakken.

Jenny as Vexus, because Vexus design slaps and i wanted to.

Ben, Rex and Jake went the low-effort easy route (because they are like that), with Jake just freely walking around as Dragon (and people complimenting him on his scaly suit lol), and Ben and Rex transforming freely and whenever the want.

Quite the improvement over the early Campaign 2 swamp troll stump (meaning no offense of course). As I said, a mighty epic tree! The Sun Tree deserves no less.

The Monsters/Villains

Why does spirit form Delilah look like Imogen’s hair? It’s as if when she lost her hair, it animated into a malevolent wig wraith. This Specter mini doesn’t photograph super well, but it has a certain pop to it in person. Decent miniature choice. But such an infamous villain is deserving of a more loft model imo. If/when Delilah returns, I would expect a custom model.

Skeletons Warhammer Sepulchral Guard skeletons

An interesting skeleton situation in this episode. We have two of the best in the biz appearing onscreen alongside some of the worst. The Warhammer Sepulchral Guards are metal af. Spectacular poses and cast fidelity. With the exception of Campaign 1 final form Vecna, it is a rare occasion that a Warhammer model appear on Critical Role. But here we are. What a delight. The downward swing skeleton is one of my all time fav skellies.

Gods awful. Garbage. I own these models, I don’t have the heart to throw them away, but I actively avoid using them on the tabletop. There are so many variations on this figure, what an absolutely waste of plastic.

There is a subtle brilliance to the posing and sculpting of this figure. A certain slackness, jerky, distinctly reanimated appearance to this pose. Also, the skull of this skeleton actually looks like a skull, unlike the skele-poots. This model also comes in an axe variant, which I think I might prefer, because, let’s face it, this sword looks busted.

Not unlike all the other boys, Lucifer is willing to risk it all as soon as he sees it.

His favorite cut of skirt is the classic a-line ones, both modest and not.

A CLOSE second goes to wrap skirts.

This is a SFW blog so I will not be going into any detail at this time ✨

Literally loses his breath everytime he sees MC, and it surprises him.

If MC isn’t already wearing the RAD skirt, he’s already offering to get him a set. Almost too eagerly?

When MC decides to not wear a skirt one day, he tries not to make it too obvious, but he’s simply curious as to why is all. Maybe a tad bit let down.

MC insisted one time that Lucifer painted his nails for him, and...

“Well, normally Asmo is the one doing that for all of us...”

“But Lucifer 🥺”

“Alright... Fine. But I’ll have to continue my paperwork in between each layer.

It’s just kinda cute to think that he would spend an incredibly unnecessary amount of time on each nail, trying to perfectly lay down the polish. Occasionally, his tongue will poke out because of his concentration.

There’s some slip ups here and there, but mentioning them will only get him flustered.

He thinks he loves MC in every skirt imaginable just as equally as the last (which, he actually might) but deep down he can’t deny that a mini skirt just hits different.

The first time he saw MC wearing a mini skirt, mammon’s initial reaction was to cover him up before anyone could see him.

However, he failed to realize that he was actually the last of the brothers to see him, since he woke up late.

But that’s just what being the avatar of greed does to you. You just want to keep what’s yours, no matter what.

But considering his jacket isn’t as big as Lucifer’s or Solomon’s, he ended up just holding it up against MC’s lower half and stood in front of him.

It took the coaxing of MC and the snark comments of his siblings to make Mammon finally allow MC to walk around freely.

Looking back on it, Mammon most certainly understands why even Asmo had called him clingy.

But even now, he can’t help but hold MC a little bit closer in public when so many demons are staring at him! It just feels wrong to allow them to do that.

Cut him some slack, he thinks MC looks amazing, and he trusts him, but they’re literally in hell surrounded by demons. He just wants to keep his boy safe <33

Levi doesn’t even realize what MC’s wearing at first.

In fact, he doesn’t realize even after their first FEW encounters.

He only notices because while Mammon was ranting to him and Satan about money, he brings up MC and his “stupid and cute but also dumb skirts”

Levi is baffled that he’s the only one that hasn’t noticed it. So, the next time he walks by MC’s room, he contemplates stopping by to talk. Right... Socialize. That.

While Levi is stuck in his thoughts, MC opens the door, presumably ready to go out to a party with Mammon and Asmo.

*fish man short circuits*

Because I’m big on fashion, I can kind of picture an exact skirt I feel would apply to him. Let your mind run free but I imagine a semi-sheer maxi skirt with water-like embellishments uwu

But don’t get me wrong, Levi literally loves seeing MC in skirts so anything will get him like 😳 yall know how he is

Actually starts to get more interested in feminine fashion because of MC. And one day, he purchases a long black skirt from Akuzon.

He saw a popular cosplayer wearing one, and so he makes that his excuse.

No one even realizes the change except for Asmo, who gushes over the new look, even if it barely changed. MC also notices, but only compliments him/brings it up when they’re alone so Levi doesn’t overheat.

I was this close to typing “Satan is a man of beauty and FASHION” can you believe that

OKAY ENOUGH SATAN SLANDER

Satan... He can recognize when someone else looks ridiculous.

But he knows for a FACT. That MC very likely pulls off a skirt better than anyone he’s seen before.

Call him biased, but he sincerely loves it on MC specifically.

He likes the puffier skirts because they’re ADORBS, but for a more casual look, there’s this one asymmetrical skirt in particular that makes MC look so handsome to him.

He has no idea why men don’t wear skirts more often! Surely MC isn’t the only one that can do it!

Oh. Right. Gender norms 😪🤚🏼

Satan feels his anger crawl up his skin when he watches MC get ridiculed. And just for something he simply enjoys wearing! The nerve of demons.

He advances to “de-escalate” the situation in the most “avatar of wrath” way possible, but when he sees MC’s slumped shoulders walking away from him, he feels more inclined to follow and comfort him.

Satan gives an icy glare to the irrelevant demons, taking note of their faces, and goes after MC.

He doesn’t immediately bring up the situation, instead opting to go out on a spontaneous date to a nice café or a shopping district. Anything to distract from the situation subtly.

If his plan works out, splendid. Anything to make light of situation without even addressing it for even a day is good.

If the shopping and food doesn’t quite bring MC’s smile to his eyes, Satan will just have to be forward with his feelings for once.

“MC. I’m not entirely sure how I can get it through to you, but you shouldn’t be worrying about what some moronic, low-level demons think of you or your clothes. Much less what they say. Just be you, and make them suffer ten times worse.”

MC relishes in his words, even if the last bit sounded more like a threat than anything.

The last thing Satan would ever do is let MC even hesitate wearing an outfit that he would have had no trouble throwing on any other day because of someone else.

Asmo screams (in a happy way)

“No, Mammon! You’re wrong. MC is NOT my personal dress-up doll! He’s my model.”

Trying to break the stigma around Asmo’s “shallow” personality, let’s get the obvious things out of the way.

He and MC shop together pretty much every other day. It’s almost concerning. And nail appointments are, of course, regular.

NOW THAT THAT’S OVER,

Yes yes, Asmo loves the skirts and wonderfully glossy black nails, but there’s still such a massive divide between him and MC. Not physically, or even relationship-wise.

He’s never met someone like MC, who is so fashion-heavy and just the right amount of self-centered.

He thinks its the fact that they’re a human and demon. But he’s seen firsthand that the line between what makes a demon so different from a human is very thin. Solomon is an example of that.

But he realizes it’s just MC. He’s simply dressing for himself and himself only.

Asmo loves himself, there’s no doubt. And it’s nice to go out and dress fancy for others. He couldn’t dream of another lifestyle.

But he has to admit that what MC is doing is working for him. He comes off as a charming sort of man when he ignores the negative comments made about his clothes.

He knows that people in both Devildom and the human realm are a little sensitive when it comes to men in skirts. And the fact that MC continues to wear them is beautiful in and of itself.

This got kind of deep out of nowhere and i apologize but Asmo deserves to be seen for more than he’s constantly portrayed as 😞

Diavolo isn’t really thrown off that much by it at first, but as time passes, he starts to understand the appeal of skirt-wearing MC.

Barbatos has to remind him that it’s rude to stare, but he finds it almost entertaining how whipped they BOTH are for MC.

Like Asmo, he actually loves bringing him out to shop!

The only difference between the two experiences is that Diavolo has no fucking idea what he’s doing when he picks out clothes for him.

Which leads to some pretty funny/terrible clothing combinations.

No, Diavolo, MC will not be wearing a flannel top with a camouflage hi-low skirt. Put those plaid socks away.

He’s confused and even a little sad when MC continues to turn down his ideas, but he figures that he should turn this into a learning opportunity.

So he lets MC grab whatever he wants, and patiently waits for him to finish up in the fitting rooms.

The store clerk is shitting her pants at the sight of the literal future ruler of Devildom hyping MC up with the energy of a puppy retriever.

Barbatos does an amazing job pretending like this doesn’t affect him.

He’s a classy man, he just internally loses it when he sees MC in any fancy skirt, really. From silky gold ruffles to a victorian-esc vibe, he’s obsessed.

So when Diavolo makes arrangements for an event/ball, Barbatos makes sure to, at the very least, offer to help MC get ready at the castle. He may not be the most fashion-centric but being able to spend time with MC in an extravagant get up is enough to make a demon butler interested.

Most of the time he’s disappointed because in between the seven brothers, he’d be lucky to be able to see MC at all because of how jealous they can all get.

I can imagine that even Diavolo doesn’t get to hear what Barbatos has to say about MC and his ability to make him weak at the knees.

But all it takes is Diavolo prompting, “MC’s outfit tonight... It was a sight for sore eyes, correct?”

Then, Barbatos lets a compliment or two slip out.

I can also imagine MC wearing a slightly short snd flowy skirt, and some rather disgusting demons waiting for it to get picked up by the wind, only for Barbatos to already be there, discreetly holding the fabric down and shooting them an intensely calm smile

Barbatos will always be one step ahead of creeps.

👀..

sneaky boy is sneaky.. especially with the constant glances he gives MC.

Solomon’s favorite type of skirt to see on MC is DEFINITELY pleated. No other option.

Unlike Lucifer, if MC isn’t wearing a skirt, he makes it clear that he wishes he would’ve.

It’s in a playful manner, though! Don’t worry.

“No skirt today? Bummer. That’s fine though, I can’t expect myself to feel attracted any less.”

I imagine MC wearing a flowy skirt to some sort of event at the demon lord’s castle, and he uses his magic to make it temporarily sparkle or shine.

This mf flashy and wants EVERYONE to know that MC is dancing with HIM and no one else.

But if you ask him about it, what? What’re you talking about? Lights?? Emitting from your skirt??? While we were dancing ?¿ Crazy talk. I would never do such a thing.,.

As childish as it is, he loves to see the way it flows when MC twirls or turns.

Not in a weird way, either. It’s just beautiful to him.

So, not to be cheesy (which he WITHOUT A DOUBT is.) but he’ll occasionally just spin MC by his hand throughout the day, then catch/dip him by the waist.

Places I'd love to see in Sonic Rangers (if it's actually an open world game):

(I wrote this post weeks ago, but considering Iizuka is hinting again at open worlds along some other things like Sonic online and Battle Royale, I think I can share this one with you)

-Not just the forest from the teaser, which is probably not representative of the actual zone in the game, but who knows.This sounds straight out of Big’s Big World, but maybe add some bridges in a chill nod to good ol’ Bridge Zone? It was amazing in the fangame.

-Some kind of ancient shrine, like the Master Emerald one (I'd love to see the actual Angel Island M.E. shrine, but I think that's asking way too much), a zone centered around ruins is probably granted at this point too (maybe a little nod to Marble? That would be cool.)

-AT LEAST one big city to explore (not too long ago I imagined zones as big as Unleashed stages, but more open-ended) with lots of highways and bright colors like Stardust Speedway (unlike boring Skyscraper Scamper). If there's a day-night cycle in place, then the amount of neon lights at night could make or break the city experience.

-Some sort of gorgeous seaside zone. A callback to Seaside Hill seems inevitable (and sounds neat on paper), but maybe a fully original zone is the best approach. Or just make Adabat 2.0 idk just something pretty so we can take lots of screenshots.

-One big amusement park, maybe as part of the city, or maybe as its own location elsewhere. But let there us go there and maybe have something to do in it. Maybe a date...? he he...

-Tails. Workshop. Of course there's gotta be a workshop or some sort of safehouse to return to... or maybe build our own town! Like Tarrey Town!

-Any kind of mountain, maybe a snowy peak, or maybe a volcano... or a mix of both. Ice Cap outside, Red Hot Skull inside. That’s rad.

-Of course there's gotta be some sort of Eggman base, right? Or his fleet. Or somewhere we can't safely reach until late-game (think like Hyrule Castle and Calamity Ganon but in Eggmanland or Final Fortress or something hard af.)

How old do I need to be to get a Lighthouse job? I want to be in the middle of nowhere and get payed while at it. How hard is it?

Hi, I started at 16 with college of the atlantic as an undergrad field biologist hoping to become a field biologist someday. It was rad AF working in tiny teams in the middle of friggin nowhere. Theres a lot of science you need to know in that field though, and several of my friends who were in the same path as myself went into the forestry service on firewatch crews and park management and they became much happier just chilling in their cabins 3 hours away from the closest human being, collecting paychecks, writing their books, and doing general forest upkeep. (clearing trails, looking for lost folks, ect) You can often have a dog in forrestry service jobs too unlike a lot of the lighthouse positions where you are studying local wildlife and the very presence of a dogs smell or sounds could super alter wildlife behavior nearby.

Can I just say I’m so glad The Old Guard was getting attention on tumblr. Matthias Schoenaerts has been my favorite actor for over a year and I’m glad he’s finally getting some recognition in this community. I knew that The Old Guard was going to be an amazing movie simply because he was in it. I have not yet seen a film of his that was bad. He chooses each movie carefully and with such respect to acting that they can’t possibly be bad. For God’s sake, he turned down the role of Batman because there’s no meaning to the role anymore. Here’s a comprehensive list of his works I’ve seen and the order I watched them in.

The Laundromat (available on Netflix): I watched this a month before “discovering” Matthias. Turns out he’s the asshole who I was glad died. This movie would probably be considered boring to the average viewer. However, I am someone who enjoys introspective and sometimes hard to understand films. This movie is about whistleblowers and how the rich avoid taxes by using offshore bank accounts. I watched it during the whistleblower scandal in 2019 so it was uncomfortably relevant. That being said, I will not watch a few specific scenes in the very beginning because it shows the images of drowned people. That is something this film (and another one of Matthias’) have helped me come to realize; I don’t like the image of drowned bodies.

The Danish Girl (available on Netflix): This movie depicts Eddie Redmayne as a transgender woman. Some people found this controversial because he is not transgender in real life but I could not imagine someone else depicting Lili. I think it is a beautiful retelling of the first transgender woman to undergo the first part of gender reassignment surgery. I cried at the end and am unashamed to say so. I think it’s a wonderful LGBT film and Matthias is an added bonus.

Suite Française (unavailable unless purchased): It is such a shame that Netflix took this movie from their collection because I think it was beautiful. Matthias is the main love interest in it as a Bruno, a Nazi stationed in Bussy. He was a composer before the war and I like how the movie depicts a soldier fighting because of familial requirement (Bruno comes from a military family) instead of personal belief. However, he is still a Nazi! I am not a Nazi sympathizer! It is uncomfortable in that sense but it is a romance, so...

SPOILER IN ASTERISKS *I cried at the ending and I will not watch it anymore because of the whole drowned bodies thing.* All in all, it’s a beautiful movie based on an unnecessary tragedy that resulted from politics.

A Little Chaos (available on Netflix): This is a movie that shows an awesome female lead taking charge and not letting men get in the way of her talents. I feel like the romance between Matthias and Kate Winslet came second to that, which I appreciate. Also, this film has Alan Rickman playing the king who ordered the construction of the gardens of the Palace of Versailles (can’t remember which king). So like... that’s freaking awesome.

Our Souls At Night (available on Netflix): This is also a film that to most viewers would be considered boring. It has very little Matthias but I thought was at least worth mentioning. It’s a sweet story about and older man and woman who have both been left alone by time and start sleeping platonically in the same bed. I think that idea is sweet overall just to prevent touch starvation which can seriously screw a person up but the film also has an unlikely ending for a romance film.

The Old Guard (available on Netflix): This movie, regardless of Matthias is amazing! I’m not an action movie person but this was great and I’ve already seen it twice. I also made my friends watch it with me. The soundtrack is subtle, unusual, and awesome for the film. It was directed by a black woman (which definitely shows). Like seriously, there was not one scene of Andy in a sports bra. She wears a tank top the entire time. There is a canon and wholesome gay relationship and an implied lesbian one. The gore and violence, in my opinion, is tasteful and not overdone. Also, the choice to cast Harry Melling as the villain (the guy who played Dudley in Harry Potter) was a good choice. There’s just something about him as Steven Merrick that just makes me mutter “twit” and want him to die.

This high praise is without even seeing his most know works such as Rust and Bone, Far From the Madding Crowd, Red Sparrow, Bullhead, and The Mustang. Unfortunate, these films are not available on any streaming service I subscribe to but someday I’ll watch them.

Seriously guys, check Matthias Schoenaerts out. He’s an amazing actor who really dedicated himself to the quality of his work. Also, he does graffiti which is rad af.

Hmm, to be honest I didn't think the evil morty theory that unlikely. I kinda just assumed that our Morty was C-137, because the show hadn't outright proven it wrong (until now), but at the same time, if they had turned around and revealed that "evil" Morty was our Rick's original, I wouldn't be surprised? I do think Rick knows something about Evil Morty, but whether it ranges from having adventured with him to just knowing of/about Mortys like him (I'm sure he's not the only one to have rebelled, just the first on a scale this large), I'm not sure. Honestly, part of me just liked the theory because of the potential ~drama~ it would entail, but yeah, I guess it was almost too obvious.

I never believed the Rick is Older Morty thing, haha. I can see where it stems from, and the idea of going on adventures with your older/younger self sounds rad af, but nah, didn't buy it. New Jersey then trade Radulov to the Stars in exchange for Connor Carrick and a couple more draft picks. Once he's informed that the trades have gone through, Radulov finds out through the phone tree/gossip circle where Khudobin is and goes to his front door.

Ok this is a fun one. I know a lot of SP players are celebrating rn and for good reason. Fianna is like the only SP girl boss and ppl have been asking for Legion era card retrains so this is quite exciting. I doubt she'll challenge Luard for the throne but seeing as Nemain/Luard choice restriction still exists, who knows. Either way I expect this to be fun, this feels both like a wild card choice and a fitting option to settle for. Even if she can't be her own deck she might chance things up and force SP players to make more choices. If she fits seamlessly in Luard I'm kinda gonna get pisses though lmao that deck is already too good. Hype level: 8/10 I want another SP drama shit storm at the very least plz. Also the art is amazing.

Gran Blue: Obake Leader Beatrice

She's really cute! And what a fun concept! Another clan I don't play nor know much about but among the new units she's by far the most interesting and creative one and her little ghosties are adorable! Kinda wish she looked more like a ghost herself but other than that I really like it. I think GB players are gonna love her too ngl. Hype level: 7/10 just a really good concept for a card using such a gen but iconic archetype like this gj
