Look I know that this is stupid, okay? Because we’re just friends and I’ve tried for a year to be okay with that, but it’s really hard. Because I think that you are amazing and strange and rude and smart and unique and honestly frustrating because you’re so much more special than you give yourself credit for. Look, my point is: you don’t have to want be with me, and that actually makes a lot of sense now that I listen to myself, but it’s crazy that you want to be with Liam. You don’t need someone who always has to be the hero. You’re the hero, Penny.

I just saw Gatta Kusthi (2022) and I absolutely fucking loved it! (Mixed messages about the partiarchy aside 🙃)
Wikipedia bills it as a romantic sports comedy drama but while watching, I realized it was a dual-hero mass action film, too. You get a villain in the first half, and a new villain in the second half.
You get two heroes, Keerthi (Aishwarya Lekshmi) and Veera (Vishnu Vishal), both fighting personal and social battles. Keerthi is fighting her family, social expectations, and personal expectations when it comes to her responsibilities and her dreams. Veera — you will hate him in many scenes but you will also learn that he is unlearning the toxic things he has learned from his uncle and other men in his life.
Both Keerthi and Veera are given cool mass moments, but Veera has more mass action scenes (one man vs many), while Keerthi has the cool hero lines when she’s talking to the bad guys (stuff like “you’ll have to get through me to get to him”). Although, Veera still gets to be the one to make a big speech about men and women equality. (I really wished Keerthi could have done a bigger speech, too.)
All in all, it’s a good family entertainer. The songs are really nice. I’ve got the track on spotify now because they’re such bops. I’ll probably post some gifs tomorrow.
Also… does anyone have recs for Aishwarya Lekshmi? Vishnu Vashal is cool and all, but I think I fell in love with Aishwarya more. I want to see more of her movies. (Forgot to add that I already saw her in PS but I need her to be in the lead role 🥰)
Tumblr media
P.S. Yes, I giggled when they mentioned an old Vijay movie.

Forevermore (2)
“My friend’s father died in an accident, his body was taken for the post mortem,” In a large assembly of senior officers and officers in training, Dhruva speaks, presenting his view on the rules still present in Indian law System since olden time which are completely irrelevant as of today.
“By providing the excuse of ‘Post Mortem is not performed after 6 PM’, the body was left as is till next morning. The family was very disturbed by this incident” He continues his views confidently.
“Rules are right sir, but, in olden days there was no proper electricity hence it wasn’t possible to perform post mortem after dark. But we still follow those many blind rules. In today’s era even phone apps get updated regularly so why can’t a country with a billion of population get updated too? This incident influenced me a lot”, He explains his point with no hesitation, laying down his views thoughtfully.
“That was admirable”,  The senior officer praises his views.
“May I share something, Ma’am?”,  Gautam questions, catching the attention of the present fellow peers , officers and his friends.
“Yes you may Mr.Gautam”, replies the Senior Officer encouraging him to share whatever is that he wanted to share.
“The reason for the strength of my social views is, Dhruva”, Gautam speaks, his voice proud and confident.
“One day he told me, Kasab, involved in Mumbai attack was 18 years old, and the boy involved in Delhi gang rape was 17 years old. Similarly, boys involved in any time of extortion and robbery of country are in age of 17-18 years. It doesn’t take a lot of time for a man to learn and commit wrong, but a good person never sees time or make excuses to commit good.” He continues as everyone listens to him attentively.
“These words of him have left a great impact on me. ‘For a good person committing good deeds, every moment is great’, with these words he has gifted me this watch.” He proudly holds up his wrist, the watch strapped on it on display for everyone to see.
Tick
 “Every tick of this watch”
Tick
“Reminds me of Dhruva”
Tick
“That is why I never separate this watch from myself” He states proudly….. not realizing how cheesy it sounds.
Everyone bursts into giggles upon hearing the last sentence as Dhruva watches his friend fondly.
“Quiet please”, The Senior Officer commands and everyone composes themselves and the session continues.
As Dhruva smiles as his friend’s short speech, he is disturbed by the vibration of his phone, a message had been sent to all of his friends and him.
I know that you all jump the wall at night….
If you don’t want me to report this to the seniors Dhruva must be present at the Park Hotel by this evening.
All of them read the message and glance worriedly at each other.
“What’s this, a new headache? Who could have sent this message?” Karan questions worried and frustrated.
“Posting is due in next few days, if the seniors found out about this we would be in big trouble”, Gautam states worriedly.
“We can deal with 40 people outside easily, but dealing with the seniors….. Tenshion ho rahi hai yaar”, Ranveer states tensly, worried about the situation.
“Instead of making the matter a big deal, lets solve it peacefully”, Vijay advises softly to sooth their nerves.
“Look, we didn’t start this to leave it in the middle. They have called to meet, haven’t they. Let’s meet them and hear them out.”
Tumblr media
At Park Hotel…
Dhruva arrives at the meeting point, fidgeting with his pen and glancing at his watching. He subtly glances to where his friends are sitting having a clear view of him and his surroundings in case he needs help. He looks around for any sight of the person in question, glancing at his friends he gives them a slight shrug.
And then…..
Gautam and Vikram catch the sight of someone, recognition flashing on their faces.
Dhruva catches it. He focuses his hearing without turning around, catching the sound of hurried footsteps approaching his way. Before the unknown person could push him the pool, he sidesteps causing them to stumble and almost fall in the pool. But before they could fall, Dhruva catches them by their wrist, still facing away from them.
Ishika….
He recognises her without even turning  around.
“What is she doing here?” His friends question eachother as Ishika dangles above the pool, Dhruva’s hold being the only thing keeping her from falling. But as soon as realization hits him, annoyed, he lets go of her wrist.
Splash
Ishika falls in the pool. Dhruva looks back annoyed as she emerges from the pool. She tries to explain herself, but he doesn’t listen and walks away still annoyed by her antic. He meets his friends halfway, fidgeting with his pen.
“Was the message sent by her?” Ranveer questions.
“Yeah, it was her”, Dhruva replies.
“Did something happen between you two?”, Gautam questions curiously.
“ Go, why don’t ask her yourself ”,Dhruva replies with a sarcastic smile and walks away, his friend calling after him.
“To become an IPS Officer like my papa, after passing my civils, I too went to Mussoorie for my training. There, for the first time, I met Dhruva.”
Dhruva drives behind the bus as Ishika enjoys the beauty of Mussoorie, all the while leaning out the window.
Dhruva honks his horn as Ishika pays no mind to it, being slightly tipsy from the beer she was drinking.
“Kaun hai bey wo?” Bujji leans out the window to look at the cause of the noise.
To her surprise a very handsome stranger seemed to me honking his horn.
“HEY! Ishika, he is honking the horn for you!” She calls out to her friend. Ishika turns around and notices Dhruva.
“Hello!? Bus rokne ke liye kahiye!” Dhruva requests her.
“Wow, you are doing hard work, are you following us?~” She teases him leaning on the window.
“What?!” Dhruva asks back.
“Sundar ladki dikhte hi follow karne lag jaoge?” She teases again as Dhruva shakes his head, amused at her teasing.
“If you keep following us like this then…. Bujji?~” She calls to her friend.
“Ishuu?~”, Her friend coos as she leans her head back out again, a beer bottle in hand.
“Then I will make you marry her!”, She states sternly as her friend hiccups and accepts the proposal.
As Dhruva Lags back, Ishika and her friend lean back into the bus, all the girls laughing and cheering at the scenario that just occurred.
Suddenly, the bus stopped. Dhruva had parked his bike at front to stop the bus. They notice him climbling on.
“Yeh to andar he aa raha hai yaar”, one of her friend states worriedly.
“Two minutes”, Dhruva tells the bus driver as he climbs aboard.
“Bulane par kese nahi ayega.” Her friend states again.
“Sir-” Bujji hurries in front of him before he pushes her to the side.
“Moti toh nahi chalegi, par tum zaroor chalogi”, He flirts looking her up and down before pulling her for a ki-
“Stop It”, Dhruva calls out annoyed breaking her memory lane. “Tell them the truth”, He orders before walking away.
Ishika looks guiltily in between his friends.
“Don’t look at me like that yaar……. If this happened then- ”She explains before being interrupted by Gautam who asks her to tell them the truth.
As Ishika goes back to properly explaining how they met, how she had confessed her feelings to him and how he had refused her proposal.
Dhruva walks out the hotel while pulling out his phone. He calls the one person he had been wanting to call to explain the situation.
Ring~
The person on the other side picks up the call in one ring, indicating they had been waiting for him to call.
“Hello? Dhruva”
Her sweet but tired voice rings on the call, instantly calming his nerves, an unconscious smile settling on his lips.
 “Bangaram…..”

so what ever it be .. think not of doing it sometime or later or whenever .. if it is decided to be done , do it NOW .. for the later never does come or will come .. gone past like the wind never to return ..
the National Flag was flown on Government buildings only .. until a kind Member of Parliament, Mr Jindal asked why it cannot be raised on our homes .. the question was negated .. and he moved Court , won the decision in his favour and immediately I started flying our National Flag on our homes .. as many that came for the meets on Sunday at the gates would have noticed on Jalsa ..

those memories gently in the mind of the Independence on 15th August 1947 .. and a 5 yr old me holding the flag in our modest home in Allahabad , in the veranda, filled with pride pf patriotism , of identity , of being mine and ours , of belonging .. and since then each occasion , the emotion that rides with it every time it is played .. one of the most, being the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata and the Indo - Pak cricket match , being asked to sing it live for the start of the game .. and a 100,000 thousand that filled the arena, singing along with me ..
my pride of being an Indian  🇮🇳 !! Jai Hind  !! 🇮🇳
and that ecstatic evening when India won the World Cup Cricket .. Abhishek and I on top of our car waving the tricolour driving about the streets screaming shouting along with the hundreds that thronged the roads  ..
they asked me this afternoon to sing a few lines of the song being picturised for the moment .. I have .. any association with National fervour a pride .. !!

Political Campaign Strategy of Gokul Baskota
-a political leader of Nepal
Gokul Baskota is a Nepali politician. He belongs to the political party CPN UML. He served as Minister of Communication and Information Technology of Nepal and is currently serving as the member of House of Representatives elected from Kavrepalanchok-2, province number 3 for the second term. He was born on August 29, 1970 on Kavrepalanchok district. He has spent his childhood in Kavrepalanchok. Later in his teenage days, his father shifted to Kathmandu.
Gokul Baskota is frequently known for his uncharacteristically brash attitude, using derogatory language towards political opponents, and remarks for attacking the free press. An audio clip of Baskota bargaining for 700 million in bribes with an agent of a Swiss company based on Kathmandu over the procurement of security printing for government was leaked to media outlets. He was accused of demanding Rs 700 million bribe in exchange for a contract to print e-passports in Nepal. He subsequently resigned from his ministerial position. He has opened the way for fair investigation. No any proof of guilty has found on him. Then, he shortly filed a defamation lawsuit against Mr. Vijay Mishra.
He has win the election held on Mansir-4, 2079 BS and been elected as a member of House of Representatives from Kavrepalanchok-2. He has received 45,345 votes. He beat his nearest rival Shiva Prasad Humagain of the Nepali Congress by 5,863 votes. He has been re-elected here 2nd time.
What makes him re-elected?
Many outsiders thinks, after such the blame against him of 700 million how can he again win the election. But us the residents of Kavrepalanchok-2 has eye witnessed his followers inside the Kavre and very sure of his victory again as well. The main reason most people liked him here is his truth specking capability. He appeared in media as a fighter. Every time the opponents backbite him, he faces it with weight in speech. He is a kind of manipulator as well. He knows what the people needs. He fights with the words of opponent in a funny way. So that the people don’t take much grudge on him.
Apart from this, many constructive work has been done after he elected as house of representative in kavrepalanchok. Hospital is going on under construction. Roads here are being pitched. People has got the sufficient facility of education and water supply and many more.
Beside this, he has good ability to attract the media and its audience. He has utilized the local media during the political campaign before election. He clearly knows that it is very important to utilize the local media for attracting the local audience. He knows local media works effectively in political campaigning rather the national media in his case. Because many common people listens the local media because they have more concerns in local issues rather than in national issues. Baskota has used the local media of Kavrepalanchok district to convey his messages to the audience of Kavre district.
He even reach at each one’s home and convey his messages to the voters. He mostly talks about his previous activities during the political campaign. He convey the voters that if he will again win, he will work for the betterment of Kaveli like he has done before. His good sense of humor and direct specking behavior also helps in influencing the voters. This is because most people prefer humor and direct specking person.
Conclusion
From all the above discussions, it is clearly known that Gokul Baskota effectively use the local media as a political campaign tool.

Daddy Vijay Prashad’s speech at the recent peoples summit conference was disappointing and not very good. I agreed with him all the way, but it was very simplistic and I expected more insight and thought from it than what I got.

Eisenhower, 1961 Akin to, and largely responsible for the sweeping changes in our industrial-military posture, has been the technological revolution during recent decades. In this revolution, research has become central; it also becomes more formalized, complex, and costly. A steadily increasing share is conducted for, by, or at the direction of, the Federal government. Today, the solitary inventor, tinkering in his shop, has been overshadowed by task forces of scientists in laboratories and testing fields. In the same fashion, the free university, historically the fountainhead of free ideas and scientific discovery, has experienced a revolution in the conduct of research. Partly because of the huge costs involved, a government contract becomes virtually a substitute for intellectual curiosity. For every old blackboard there are now hundreds of new electronic computers. The prospect of domination of the nation's scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present. and is gravely to be regarded.
