Ego Holiday Headcanons

Haven’t decided if I’ll make more after this, but here’s some festive headcanons for the Septic boys! (tagging as Yuletube for my submission for the past two missed days, hope that’s alright!)

Henrik Von Schneeplestein

-The host of the Septic Ego Holiday Celebration (est. 2017)

-STRESSED

-If he wasn’t stressed enough by being a doctor (and parent lmao), HE IS NOW

-Getting all the egos together for the holidays and making sure they DON’T kill each other?? Someone give this man an award

-Everyone keeping their limbs would be his only Christmas wish

-He does not get said Christmas wish (see: Robbie)

-Switches up his black coffee for coffee with peppermint creamer

-Chase eventually hooks him on peppermint tea instead, he knows the Doc needs sleep

-Can be found humming along to the Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy as he cooks holiday dinner

-Definitely has a “kiss the cook” apron

-Chase crossed out the “the” on it with “zhe” in sharpie

-Day 5, Schneep still hasn’t noticed

-Loves it, but still wears his doctor coat on top of it

-Gets very cold easily, so the fire is always burning

-Has a nutcracker collection

-It’s getting out of hand

Chase Brody

-Holidays are,,, hard for him

-Still sends his kids cards and presents, never actually knowing if they get them or not

-They do, I promise

-Wasn’t originally keen on celebrating with everyone, he has a tendency to self-isolate

-But once he gets there, he’s glad he did

-IMMEDIATELY tackled in a hug from Jackie

-”YOU’RE HERE!! Couldn’t start without you, dude!”

-Everyone else smiles and gives the appropriate hug

-(Anti does not, but no eye roll this time at least)

-Absolutely loves warm apple cider and has a good recipe to make his own

-Favorite Christmas movie is Elf, no I do not take criticism

-Has a soft spot for Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmas though because of his kids

-Holiday puns, you CANNOT get this man to shut up with the puns

- “Where’s Anti?” “Up to SNOW good! There’s SNOW way we can REIN him in now!”

-Once it snows, this boy is sledding down every hill in SIGHT

-Teaches Robbie how to catch snowflakes on his tongue

-Marvin makes him a “World’s Best Dad” sweater

-He totally cries and does not take it off the rest of the season

Jackieboy Man

-Christmas is his favorite holiday

-Good luck getting him to sit still around this time

-Has super strength, so he doesn’t quite have the same “don’t do that, you’ll hurt yourself” factor that everyone else does??

-Nearly giving Henrik a heart attack everytime he moves, but make it Festive™

-”Guys it’s snowing!!” “JACKIE GET ZHE FAHK OFF ZHE RAILING”

-Slides down the stairs anyway

-Marvin made him a whole ass “ugly supersuit” instead of just a sweater

-It is a w f u l, but on purpose

-Ofc Jackie adores the shit out of it

-Loves snowball fights!

-Always gets targeted by Anti tho

-Eventually it turns into a snowball war

-Pulls Chase over to tag team him, then discovers Marvin has an alliance with Anti

-They will be here a while

-Time to break out the reindeer-themed boxers

-They go along perfectly with his red and blue sweater-suit

-Eventually able to settle down when it gets dark out, bonus points if there’s hot chocolate involved (courtesy of JJ)

-Don’t forget the marshmallows

-Wants to help everybody out with their plans, always does his best

-Even if his best includes falling off a roof

Marvin the Magnificent

-Made everyone sweaters, even Anti

-Spent too much time on the design parts to make em perfect, so he had to rush getting them all sewn

-Uses his magic to sew like three at once

-December 1st, 12:00am is when the Christmas music starts

-Mariah Carey impressions that slowly get higher as the month goes on

-Performs a “Let It Go” rendition that could rival Idina’s during christmas karaoke night

-Switches his regular mask for his holiday one with snowflakes instead of card suits on it

-The decorating master, with JJ as his apprentice

-Favorite part is designing for the lights outside

-Learned a spell to make it look like it’s snowing inside

-Forgot to learn the spell to make it stop snowing inside

-Ended up just sticking with those paper snowflakes dangling on the ceiling

-Asks Jackie for help with the lights on the roof, not because he can’t easily do it himself, he just knows that Jackie likes to help and this is the one thing he knows he can’t break

-Did not expect Jackie to break himself by falling off the roof instead

-Ends up finishing the lights with his magic anyway (after he untangles his boyfriend from the lights, that is)

-Can and will destroy Jackie during snowball fights just because he can

Jameson Jackson

-THIS BOY oh this boy

-Brings out the classic holiday music and sets it up on the gramophone

-LOVES making up dances to the music

-May be a classic boy, but his guilty pleasure is Michael Buble

-(Robbie calls him bubbles whenever he comes on)

-Goes ALL OUT with the holiday baking

-Cookies of all kinds, homemade gingerbread for the houses, so many pies, even learns how to bake his own bread

-Everyone agrees that his pumpkin bread is the best

-Anti especially loves the cherry pie for “aesthetic purposes”

-Has a whole “Twas the Night Before Christmas” puppet show routine

-His job is making the decorations while Marvin sets them all up, it’s a great dynamic

-Definitely makes those traditional popcorn garlands for the tree

-for some reason puts an orange in his stocking?? The others are confused, but he’s so excited so they just let him do his thing

-Now everyone has oranges in their stockings

-They still don’t know what it means

Antisepticeye

-Die Hard is a Christmas movie, dammit!

- “Grinch Bitch” is what his sweater from Marvin says

-Secretly likes it, but fuck off

-Wears it to sleep every night in Winter

-You know that thing where cats get under Christmas trees and swat at the ornaments? Yeah that’s him

-Loves the white elephant gift game

-Ends up getting a present and it’s a turtle

-His name is knives

-KING OF SNOWBALL FIGHTS

-Fills his snowballs with fake blood so they explode on people

- (at least we hope its fake)

-If it doesn’t snow enough, he is the bitch who throws water balloons instead

-Henrik still has work leading up to Christmas, so Anti listens to him rant when he gets home

-Christmas patients are fuckin crazy and he loves it

-One time fell asleep and woke up with a red nose and antlers

-Chase was never safe after that

-Kept the antlers though, they jingle

-Saved them all from Chase’s puns that day

- “Where’s Anti?” *distant, staticky jingling* “Ah there he is”

Robbie the Zombie

-LIGHTS...pretty lights…

-He loves the lights, and will try to eat them if you’re not careful

-Says they’re static candy

-Doesn’t get cold because he can’t feel it, so he often wanders around in the snow

-One time he came home without his left foot and Schneep nearly had a heart attack

-Turns out it froze in the snow and snapped off his leg

-The Great Foot Search Party of 2020

-Please don’t forget to bundle this boy up before going out

-Anti has knitted him a hat and scarf for just this reason

-Henrik was the Proudest Dad that day

-Totally gets to put the star on the Christmas tree every year

-Marvin levitates him high enough

-Favorite holiday movie is The Polar Express

-One time JJ came out with his signature hot cocoa during the movie scene and Robbie was THRILLED

-Talking almost knocked him over thrilled

-Tries to sing along to holiday music, the lyrics don’t work out much

-Really good at keeping a beat though

-Marvin made him a sweater with bells on it

-Adores the bells, flaps the too long sleeves to make them jingle

Shawn Flynn

-Likes Christmas, but like lowkey

-He’s a toymaker!!! He makes adorable toys for all the egos as their presents from him!!

-Didn’t really have a family to go back to in his days at Joey Drew Studios, so he was used to spending Christmas alone, usually working

-NOT ANYMORE!

-Now he has Too Much Family (but in the good way)

-Absolutely gets nicknamed Scrooge at first, probably because he really likes A Christmas Carol and he’s a grump

-Often can be found being pulled off to dance by the gramophone with JJ

-He’s got two left feet, but JJ doesn’t really care

-If anyone still believes in Santa, even just a little bit, it’s because of him

-Has a giant red sack that he fills up with toys he’s made and/or the ones no one could sell back at the studios and donates them to orphanages

-Usually sticks to his old timey clothes, but when he does wear modern Christmas attire like the sweaters, he has,,,no idea how to match things

-It’s ‘cause he’s red/green colorblind

-once asked why Marvin had “yellow” hair

-JJ makes sure that his decorations have lots of blues so it’s not so much strain on his eyes

hi jordan!!

ok the place i really want to go to rn on a small scale is the pool i wish it was warm and what i really want to do (for reasons i can’t quite figure out) is to go to the pool or the beach in my favorite swimsuit and hang out poolside or beachside and sunbathe with sunglasses on although last time i did that i fell asleep and got a very weird sunburn. the place on a LARGER scale i would like to go to is a ski resort because if it’s going to be cold i want to go to a ski resort with my family and go skiing and go to the waterpark inside and the arcade and stuff because i haven’t gotten a family vacation like that in a lil bit (it was summer. so ig not that long)

my favorite kind of weather is when it’s sunny and warm out (75F+) but it isn’t humid so i don’t mess up my hair and it’s not SO so hot that i sweat all my hair dye and makeup all over my face but i can still go swimming and go shopping and nap in the hammock in our backyard and it’s perfect

ig the last little treat i got myself was either this bowl/mug set that i got for $5 at target on a whim (it’s for me and pretzel the mug says “i love you” and the bowl says “i woof you”) OR when i got myself some very yummy eclairs from my roommates job yesterday (he works at a french pastry shop)! my next lil treat is just kinda coming in the mail bcs it’s a necklace from etsy and tomorrow im seeing the new scream with my friends from school so that’ll be fun too!

my blorbo………well i am always thinking about fun ghoul but today im going to talk about blorbo from my head which is odile von rothbart but from my version of swan lake where she and odette fall in love and break the curse and escape. i think my favorite things about her character design are 1. the necklace with a swan and her name on it that she gives to odette during the story 2. all her freckles because that’s unconventional for nobility during the time pd it’s set in and i like her :) and 3. her hair because it’s kind of farrah fawcett-y and it’s fun to draw. also i think you would have a lot 2 say abt the historical inaccuracies of her and odettes dresses but um. im going to play the “it’s distinct character design” card so ha (also ik this is more than 20 words i am just so full of things to say)

i love u too!! my weekends been very chill but also busy? i had two (!!) medical appts yesterday but no class bc it was a school holiday (but not like. a provincial one or anything its just a dal thing) and i did schoolwork off and on all day and then i got PUMPED out climbing today but i did one (and a half. kinda) of the competition climbs which was super great and i came REALLY close to doing a climb nd a boulder that are. the top of my climbing range rn. and then i did MORE schoolwork. and laundry and groceries! but ive also been just like. watchin succession and designing an oc. so very chill yknow?

Feb 2006 Days 4 and 5 – cruise up the Bosphoros to Anadolu Kavagi and departure to BG and RO

EN Hi everyone, today we will have some sunlight, take a ferry north from Eminönü to Anadolu Kavagi with many stops along the way, enjoy a lahmacun and soup, get money out of an ATM, get to Sirkeci station for the night train and miss out on a whirling dervish performance and end the day by getting out of the train for an exit passport stamp.

Hallo allerseits, heute haben wir etwas Sonnenlicht, nehmen eine Fähre nördlich von Eminönü nach Anadolu Kavagi mit vielen Haltestellen auf dem Weg, genießen ein Lahmacun und eine Suppe, holen Geld aus einem Geldautomaten, fahren zum Bahnhof Sirkeci für den Nachtzug und verpassen es auf einer wirbelnden Derwischvorstellung und beenden Sie den Tag, indem Sie aus dem Zug aussteigen, um einen Ausreisestempel zu erhalten.

Today is Sunday the 12th February 2006. This would be my last day in Turkey. I thought the previous day, why not to take a cruise up the Bosphoros? Hopefully the weather will be nice. Well at least in the morning it was.

About 7 AM I had breakfast and then went to Eminönü to catch the ferry to Anadolu Kavagi. It cost about $ 15.00 round trip. The ride up would take at least an hour and a half, as it would stop at five different places, either on the European side or the Asian side. I remember doing something similar with my parents in the 1970s, and back then it was easy to tell the European side from the Asian side.

The ferry was ready to board about 9 AM. It was better to be inside for most of the time, than to be on the outside except for the more interesting stops. The weather at Eminönü was nice, the clouds were not particularly thick, but when the ferry passed Rumeli Hisari, coulds thickened up and it started to snow. The next half hour it snowed but did not ice up the Bosphoros. We stopped about four more times before ending up at Anadolu Kavagi. Anadolu Kavagi is a tourist town on the Asian side, and has a military base. For lunch I went to a small restaurant on Dolay Ck. I ordered a lentil soup, lahmacun, and an Ayran, which is a yogurt drink. I watched the snowfall outside the restaurant.

I wanted to get a good view of the Bosphoros, so I walked up Cafer Baba. I saw the nearby hills covered with snow. I could not stay much longer. That was the last time I saw snow in Asia.

I wanted to buy some provisions for the night's train travel, and I was running out of money. I found an ATM but it was inside the military base. I asked permission to enter just to use the ATM. The gentleman was very nice to allow me to enter, and once I withdrew my money, I left and went back into town.

Once I returned to town, I bought some Efes beers and snacks for the night's train ride. I also bought a copy of the day's edition of the "Hürriyet" newspaper, even if I could not speak Turkish. To end, I had a couple of glasses of tea until it was time for the return journey. The journey took an hour and a half to get back to Eminönü. I took the tram back to Sultanahmet and walked back to the hotel. I asked for a ride to Sirkeci station, and someone volunteered to take me for 10 Lira, not a bad deal. I packed up my belongings and about 6:30 PM I was at Sirkeci station.

There was one last thing I wanted to do, but it would possibly make me miss my train from Sirkeci station to Bucharest. I had supper, a lahmacun with seasoned onions and ayran, then took my luggage to the car where my compartment was located. I had the compartment all to myself. The train did not have a restaurant car of its own. I had a sink and mirror and electric outlet. The bathrooms were down the hall. The train left Sirkeci station about 8:30 PM for the border at Kapikule, close to both the Bulgarian and Greek borders. It seemed a bit slow, despite being an electrified route.

I went to sleep for a while until about 2 AM when the conductor knocked on my door to let me know that we were approaching the border and that everyone had to exit the train, in spite of the cold weather. Everyone had to leave the train, line up at the customs building, get a "Cikis" stamp for exiting, and board the train again. It was good to get back on the train. The train passed Kapikule and crossed into Bulgaria.

At Kapikule the electrification ended (there is a project to extend electrification to Bulgarian national rail standard) and thus the locomotives were switched from there until Dimitrovgrad where the electrification resumed. When the train approached Kapitan Andreevo, the Bulgarian custom guards boarded, knocked on the compartment doors, saying "Passport control", and reading aloud passport numbers by walkie talkie. My passport record was clean and I was given an entry stamp into Bulgaria. It must have been about 4 AM when the train went on to Svilengrad, Dimitrovgrad, Shumen and Ruse. About 8 AM I bought a cup of coffee for two euro. I received a cup of coffee and a CFR (Romanian railways) packet of sugar. That was the only "food and drink" I received that entire ride. The train ride was very long, with an electric locomotive from Dimitrovgrad to Ruse, where it was swapped out with a diesel train to go to Giurgiu in Romania. I also received an exit stamp at Ruse. The train went along and crossed the Danube into Giurgiu, Romania.

At Giurgiu, the train stopped for about an hour. The weather looked fine, sunny with few clouds. But the weather could change at any moment. The Romanian customs agents took my passport into an office and I was worried for about half an hour. I eventually received it back, with an entry stamp. The train left maybe 6 PM and arrived at Bucharest Gara de Nord around 7:30 PM, and it started snowing.

If you come to Bucharest, always be careful of scammers. Particularly luggage handlers and taxi drivers. If you can use public transportation, know how to get to and from your hotel and do not ever depend on the luggage handlers or taxi drivers, as they can demand outrageous fees. For example a taxi ride should cost less than $ 10.00. Sometimes a person can be charged $ 30.00 or $40.00, maybe more. I did end up at my hotel, although with $ 30.00 less cash than I expected.

It was cold and I did not really want to go out that night. The hotel had a restaurant and I ordered some soup and an Ursus beer. Ursus is one of the major beer brands in Romania. Then I went to sleep.

Things I forgot/am re-learning about socal: • Mossy friggin Nissan • VERY good air conditioning • the way tortillas here are the best in the country, go ahead and fight me about it GO AHEAD. • California burritos everywhere • all the theme parks every 5 miles, especially Legoland - Guys, legos got a WHOLE LAND. • seeing "El Centro" on freeway signs • going 75 feels slow, like reeeaaally slow. • turning a corner and accidentally being on a movie set • seeing celebrities doing normal things, like walking around with an apple core looking for a trash can. • my face skin likes to break-out here. • VONS • I JUST LIKE SAYING 'VONS' • freeway car chases! • people drink Starbucks here. • like, a lot. • traffic on the 405. • Mesa and Rancho and Mira and San and Loma and Villa and Valle! • how good my mom is at making beds so heavenly comfortable that you can't even can even. • that's probably who I got it from. • faraway mountains and rolling hills and poppies and palm trees. • I looooove palm trees. Here’s the 4-11 on LA Life

So today I wanted to cover a topic that I feel very confident talking about. It’s called “Living In Los Angeles Full Time.” But before I get started, let me be real with you guys. I am completely aware of the fact that I have only a few more seconds to sell you on this post.

How do I know this?

I write for a living. I get paid to communicate, and that’s all I’ve ever wanted. I take great pride in my work, but I don’t take work home with me. How do you know this about me? Because after work, I still text like this: “How r u doing 2 day? sry was @ work what r u up 2?” Why? Because that’s how I used to type in middle school, and it’s easy to fall back on. Maybe it’s who I am in a sense. And it allows me to not take myself too seriously for a bit. In other words, if this post has some grammatical errors, it’s because I’m off the clock.

So enough with the intro. I have 16,000 views on my blog. I know people read it. Let’s get right to the point. Right now, I am listening to house music by Robert Miles, folding clothes, and rebuffing my nails. My alarm is set for 7:32 AM, and I have an English muffin on standby for the morning. Shoot... does that mean I am officially ready to live in Santa Monica full time? Let’s find out.

Everyone has their life story. My story started with where I came from. It’s a state that has been in the news a lot lately because of the heat wave. I’ll give you a hint: It rhymes with Merizona.

When I attended graduate school at USC last year (oh my gosh, I can NOT believe it’s only been a year since I lived in South Central-does that make me Cali basic)?! I always identified myself as “Alaina from Arizona.” But now that I’ve been living here awhile, I’ll say: “Alaina from Venice.” Or “Alaina from North Hollywood.” Or whatever I feel like saying, because the truth is-I’ve lived in a LOT of places in LA. But on Monday, I’m moving to Santa Monica for an ENTIRE YEAR. Because I have a great job, and I’m ready to see what it’s really like to be a full time LA resident. If you live here already and can relate, or if you are interested in moving here- Here’s what I know so far.

1.) Traffic is pretty bad

I’m not going to sugarcoat it. There are certain life adjustments that one needs to make in order to work with the LA freeways. If you’ve lived here long enough, you’re smart enough to know not to get on the 101 or 405 at 5 pm, no matter what direction you’re going. You know that traveling 20 miles will take roughly an hour and twenty minutes, and driving a minuscule five miles will take around twenty-five minutes. While embarking on this frusterating commute, you realize that most people are just as stressed as you are about timing, so they are not purposely slowing you down. It’s just a “traffic jam.” In other words-everyone has found the gold rush. Los Angeles is a beautiful place, a lot of people want to live here-and the freeways just aren’t quite built for the amount of people trying to drive.

2.) Dating is not a nightmare

I have read numerous websites about single women complaining that they cannot meet somebody in LA because “everyone is a player,” and there is “too much competition.” I don’t agree. I think that dating is a mindset, and I firmly believe there are plenty of great men out there who are just looking for the right person. Don’t let LA intimidate you. Like Gretzky says, you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. So say “hi” to someone at Runyon Canyon, maybe it will pay off!

3.) The stereotypes are somewhat true

Now, just like any stereotype, I am in no way trying to say that every assumption applies to every person. I will say my own personal opinion, since I’ve lived in a lot of places here. 1.) I think that the Beverly Hills area is overrated. 2.) I believe that the Bel Air/Westwood area is extremely overrated (I went to USC, so I could be a bit biased on this category). 3.) The Valley is hotter than the areas located around the ocean, and can make your commute a LOT longer. But I’ve met some of the greatest people in the Valley. 4.) I personally like Venice, but it’s kind of true to its yoga/Whole Foods/hippie stereotype. Oh, and most people in Venice like the beach, own a dog, and like to frequent vegan cafes. Which, don’t get me wrong-is totally fine! I like the beach. I don’t own a dog, and I would maybe go to a vegan cafe-so since I’m only one for three, maybe I’m better off in Santa Monica.

4.) Cher’s dad is wrong-not everywhere in LA takes twenty minutes

Remember that scene in Clueless when Cher lies to her dad and says she is on her way home? Her lawyer dad hollers at her: “SEE YOU IN TWENTY MINUTES-EVERYWHERE IN LA TAKES TWENTY MINUTES!” I get where the saying originated from-LA is LA, and the valley is the valley. But let’s be clear-It’s always a smart idea to give yourself more time if you are going ANYWHERE. Because in LA, “Sorry I got stuck in traffic” is a lame excuse. It’s like saying “Sorry, I was breathing.” So standard.

5.) Be prepared to shell out more money in California

Compared to Arizona, and 90% of the US, things in California are just more expensive. You will pay more in taxes. You will shell out more dough for fuel. Food will be pricier. Stay away from clothing boutiques if you are on a budget. Certain gas stations will charge $1.50 more per gallon, so be wary of where you are getting gas from. Be aware of which grocery store you are shopping at. (Hint: Gelsons is much more expensive than Vons or Ralphs, Vons is more expensive than Ralphs-always go to Ralphs).

6.) Yes it’s a scary change at first

When I first moved to LA for graduate school, I cried every night for the first week, because it was SUCH a big change from the city I grew up in. You will not have people knocking on your door giving you banana bread. If you ask someone for directions, not everyone will help you. You will have a few cranky salespeople, a few professors that you don’t see eye to eye with-and even sadder still: friends who you grow apart from, and relationships that just don’t work out. But... isn’t that everywhere? What I have finally come to understand about Los Angeles is that you are not ENTITLED to anything when you move here. Just like the most popular person in school, you have to EARN their respect. Because LA has a lot of potential suiters-it doesn’t want to settle for the faint hearted.

7.) But if you can pull through, the possibilities are endless

I moved to Los Angeles with a dream, just like everybody else did. My goal wasn’t necessarily to be to famous. I had no plans on becoming a singer, or a dancer, or an actress. I moved here for my education. I think that people who don’t understand think that going to USC is an easy thing. It’s really not. It’s not a safe area. The university has done a phenomenal job of keeping its students safe, but it was a huge shock to me. Academically, it’s EXTREMELY difficult. It took 100% of my focus, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And that brings me to my final comment about living in Los Angeles.

You can live on the coast, but you can never coast.

I made that saying up on the spot, and I rather like it. Maybe I’ll get it patented, because, #wheninLA.
