in the gen4 au, nick's gen2 body is recovered a few months into his disappearance and brought back to goodneighbor. tua and dr. amari try to wake him up, but it is very evident that he's an empty shell, though tua sits with him - tries to massage life into his hands, talks to him in spanish. they have to decide when to shut him off permanently. in the spring tua ends up burying him up at kingsport with the help of hancock and a couple other ghouls under a cypress.

fast forward a few more months and daisy's calling tua at 3 a.m. to ask her to come down to the store, because nick's back. and tua is immediately horrified. does that mean that they buried their heart while he was still alive? how could they make such a mistake? to which daisy has to clarify, well, technically, he wasn't alive then either. but now he is

Picking one is impossible >> Most of my favorites are based in Pokemon that I've used before, so a lot of these have specific names attached to them that make them my favorite x) These are roughly in Pokedex order because I'm scrolling through a list, not in order of least to most favorite.

Gen1: Hypno line, Abra line, Gengar line, Beedrill. Mankey, Magnemite, Mr. Mime, Mew, Mewtwo

Gen2: Swinub (It's my sister's favorite, so its naturally grown a lot on me as well), Crobat, Umbreon

Gen3: Nuzleaf, Ralts line, Sableye , Baltoy line, Jirachi. HOWEVER I do have a NUMBER ONE favorite of this gen unlike some of the others and its SPOINK. Spoink is #1 in my heart for gen 3.

I am surprised Tumblr doesn’t have anything about PBhere

so basic fact about PBhere; it is an ARG animation about a red guy waking up to have lost his memory and is locked up. The only thing he has to help is his phone which has limited apps, TikTok, Twitter, and Youtube

and the only ones who can help him is us. We have freed him and he was exploring the place which is a company owned by iBT. He has found out that PB perhaps stands for Perfect Being and he is a clone. There are others that look like him. He did find one that was in a tank, not dead but was rather progressing to be ready.

We have helped him with codes and unlocked doors and he has sometimes answer us (such as explaining he doesn’t need to eat or go to bathroom, not knowing what his name is and so on). We have found their Website iBT, we have 3 names so far (Henry Carter, Cindy, and Adam)

But 3 videos ago there was a figure behind him. We think the figure behind him was a clone and has now replaced our original PB and this man knows more about iBT than we do. His nose is crocked and there was a big poodle of ... something there we last saw our original PB. And this new PB killed the PB that was in the tank.

We have contact “C” on the iBT website, sadly, C won’t be able to text us soon no longer

Last one says that they will leave 1 last message to us that is very important.

We have also got Cindy’s password for the website but not everything was revealed.

The last video (29/11) clone PB shows the other generations before him, gen1, gen2, gen3, and lastly him, gen4.

And on twitter this new PB says he has big plans.

altho i recently decided that the gen3 au - following on the heels of nuka world - goes a little further w the theme of individualism, with how the survivors of the institute took to vault 95 to further their research, not w the interest of bettering the rough world they were ushered into, but bc they were so.... indoctrinated with this vision of a Better Future to preserve. and with their gunner support significantly diminished by the events of nuka world, they have to abandon the vault - and sleeping nick - for the winter, except they. just dont come back. they have no community, no skills necessary for building or entering a productive society. they go into the commonwealth and disappear. its only luck that nick wakes up (tho i wonder if deacon had anything to do with it, like he is implied to have done w vault 111) but theres that parallel too... waking up like tua did, all those years ago

also the fact that the gen3 au overlaps with nuka world means that nick (having been scooped up in the net with other gen2s taken for reprocessing maybe a week or two earlier) was absolutely conscious when the gunners confronted the engineers/institute dudes and told them they were being called out west. and nick would have made the connection... and would have just Exploded trying to get the fuck out of the vault

I've Got A Chance To Win...

One of my favourite things that HG/SS do, is help to flesh out the important NPC characters, especially the Gym Leaders from both Kanto and Johto. It was really cool how, in the original Gen2 games, you got to see how the Kanto Gym Leaders had progressed since Gen1. You could see how much stronger they were now when facing you as the champion, and also get to see how their team had evolved. You still get to do this in HG/SS of course, since it follows the same plot, but once again the feature has been expanded upon. Back in Gen2, the facility to add NPC phone numbers to your Pokégear was introduced. This allows you to call and rematch various trainers that you meet along your journey but in HG/SS, this has been expanded to cover the Gym Leaders of both Kanto and Johto!

Once you have all sixteen gym badges, you may find the Gym Leaders scattered across the regions, spending time outside of their gyms. This only happens at certain times, or on certain days of the week, or both, and can also require certain other tasks in the game to have been completed first (for example you need to have captured Zapdos outside the Kanto Power Planet before Lt. Surge will start appearing there). When you talk to these Gym Leaders while they are out and about, they will give you their phone numbers and tell you about a specific time when they are usually free for a rematch. If you remember, and call them in the suggested window, they will agree and head to the Fighting Dojo in Saffron City to wait for you. Fortunately, there is no time limit on how long they wait, so you are able to schedule all sixteen Gym Leaders, go to the Dojo, and fight them all one after another. No only is it really cool so see all the powerful trainers gathered in one place, but it is also a great way to grind some experience in a region that makes that difficult!

This is another great addition to fleshing out the characters further. Brock is looking for fossils in Diglett Cave when you get his number. Misty is on a date (which you interrupt) at Cerulean Cape. Bugsy has travelled to Kanto to search for more Bug-type pokémon in Viridian Forest. Erika is chatting about fashion with Jasmine in Celadon City. Chuck is too busy meditating to give you is number so you get it from his wife instead. Blue is too arrogant to give it out, so his sister Daisy provides it. All these little details really add to the story for me and is one of my favourite things about HG/SS. And that is before you consider the battles. The rematch at the Fighting Dojo is against the absolute strongest version of this Gym Leaders team so far - a chance to see them at full power for once. This is especially great for some of the early Johto Gym Leaders like Bugsy and Falconer, as you can really see how strong they can be. This rematch feature can be used over and over again, but given it takes a full week to find the windows to call each of them, I only did it once before heading off to beat the Elite Four one last time and then finally moving on to fight Red (who I was better prepared for in SoulSilver!).

I also like the fact that a couple of the Sinnoh Gym Leaders also pop up in these games. Crasher Wake, Sinnoh’s Water-type expert (and also a masked wrestler for some reason?), will show up in the Celadon Department Store to provide you with some accessories, and he also crops up again on one of the routes to the Safari Zone. Maylene- the leader of the Fighting-type gym - shows up in a Kanto diner as a part of an eating contest (which she is amazing at despite being tiny). It’s really cool to see them travelling the Pokémon world, even if you can’t actually battle them this time. It does make me wish that a few more Sinnoh folk cropped up here and sadly none of the Hoenn Gym Leaders make an appearance either - but maybe I’m just being greedy now!
