like don’t you get it? by hunting ghosts you become a part of them. a presence that lingers. the memories you are making here right now is also what will survive of this place. it’s also what will haunt it.
people are acting like we’re saying creators shouldn’t be paid for their work; they absolutely should. and watcher already is. they have a patreon, they get sponsors, their videos regularly get millions of views which gives them ad revenue, they sell merch; they are getting paid. feeling indignant and disappointed that they’re asking us to pay for content we were already getting for free isn’t entitlement, it’s expected. they wanted to make bigger produced shows and now their budget can’t sustain it, that’s not on the viewer to make up for
dungeon meshi is soooo fucking great especially when it hits its stride and all characters have come into play bc it's just like
laios: I want to eat all the fucking monsters i want the monsters carnally
marcille: EATING MOSNTERS???? UNHOLY. UNCOUTH. DISGUSTING. anyway here's all the dark magic and necromancy i've got on the backburner to bring back my dragon-digested gf and also i plan to find a way for everyone to live forever at the cost of my very soul if need be
kabru, normally, in a normal tone he's rehearsed 42000 times in front of a mirror: I'M NORMAL. I'M SOOOO FUCKING NORMAL. I'M THE MOST NORMAL GUY AROUND AND I'M NOT CONSTANTLY PLOTTING ASSASSINATIONS FOR THE GREATER GOOD
senshi: I have all this trauma abt being the sole survivor of the fantasy equivalent of the franklin expedition but that's not important what really matters here is eat yer goddamn veggies or so help me
and the best part is that none of them are straight
honestly I think an interesting martyn character trait to poke at would be the watcher lore as an expression of grief. as an attempt to rationalize and explain a terrible thing that keeps happening to him. to give it a reason, to give himself an enemy, to both give agency to the situation and to help temper his survivor’s guilt and tell himself he could never have stopped it anyway. as a construct of stories to build around himself so he can understand.
So people have noticed that BigB's secret task logo was red, right? No one seems to know why it was red or what it indicates, but BigB sounded pretty shocked to see it. He seems to have a simple task and executes it normally, but he acts strange in his episode. He's lying for no reason and gaslighting people all session. Unless he's decided to make it a bit this season, why would he do that for no reason? Grian says "I think I know what's going on but they'd never confirm it." Who's 'they'?
What if the red task is a 'decoy' task? Only one person gets the red task, just like the boogeyman. What if his real task was to lie and gaslight and act 'sus', and he has to keep it secret from the audience?
