This will be my one and only post on the subject of post-s3 canon-compliant Hannigram...
...unless ofc the show gets renewed, which, at this point--it won't, lbr. Martha de Laurentiis was the show's champion and navigator of the rights issues, and she has literally died. If anyone else is championing it, I don't know about it. Maybe something can come through eventually as the new company leadership gets shit figured out, idk. But I'm not holding my breath.
That's the key point here which most of these asks don't seem to recognize: they want me to give an opinion on the state of the relationship, and whether or not Hannibal and Will can be together for a long term and maintain contentment in their relationship with each other: the Happy Ever After Question. But what these asks are most notably NOT doing--even though the askers always frame it as if they are--is asking me about the kind of storytelling would be likely in a continuation of the show: the Plot? What Plot? question. They want to have their plot cake and happily eat it ever after too. And it just doesn't work that way.
These are really very, very different questions. And what would happen if the show actually did come back has as much to do with what would have to happen to resurrect the show out of rights oblivion and then negotiate endless contracts AND how the creatives own lives and circumstances may have changed them and their points of view over the years, as well as the years themselves.
And because the show is very likely never coming back it's really a moot point now. Fantasize however you want. Write fic however you want. It's your damn story now, not the creatives. So in answer to the first, Happy Ever After Question, yeah, sure, why the fuck not. Let Hannigram have forever. But wait--you like plot with your porn? Then by all means give them some conflict. Tear them from the seams, their skin, their bones. Does that make you happy now?
But stop pulling down other people who are doing it in a different way than you're doing it, even if you can't understand it. Yeah, you know who you are....
As for the ~cANoN~ question, let's also be real for a second. If the show were renewed TODAY, it will have been more than a decade between seasons three and four, and Bryan Fuller has been pretty clear that Hannibal and Will are together during that time. So CAN they stay together for a period of years? Yeah, sure, why the fuck not. Obviously they HAVE.
But also--if the show were to come back, would they be destined for angsty shit and conflict and, yanno, PLOT? Again, obviously. It's a ridiculous notion that the show would continue without it. Flip side of that, though, is the equally ridiculous notion that seems to be floating around that if they can't be Disney princesses in their happily-ever-after together, then they can't be together at all, or at least, not for long. That's also absurd.
So let's touch base with what we know, and not what we each individually prefer.
Let's pretend--perhaps ambitiously--for a minute that if the show did ever come back it would be following the plan that we were left off with. It would stretch into 3 more seasons, with Cuban, Korean, and Cajun dishes iirc for episode titles. Bryan Fuller was pretty clear that season four would dive into an untapped portion of the books, revisit season one in a "really interesting way," and be pitched as Angel Heart meets Inception. Will might achieve happiness but not till the ending of the whole thing. That's what we know. Sorry I can't cite any of this; I haven't looked up a Hannibal article in half a decade.
So, leaving aside specifics and just getting to the question at hand, what we do know from season 1 is that Hannibal and Will were together. So, logically, they're probably together in any theoretical season 4. And OF COURSE they would be--they just spent all of S3 apart. You gotta vary this shit up. And they have to have internal and external conflicts, because writing 101. And the internal conflicts are meaningless--as would be all the rest of the preceding show--unless they're deeply and passionately invested in and love each other. That was the whole frickin' point of S3.
I don't honestly even understand how any of this is a question or a debate. Why are y'all even arguing in this the year of our lord almost 2024, and making me grumpy by sending me endless asks about stuff that's been answered for years and years. Why did I have to read with my OWN TWO EYES that someone who joined the fandom in 2016 (!!!) is so #FandomOld that people are afraid to argue with them????
...
So, y'all, this is all I'm willing to say about a potential continuation and ending of the show:
In a simple sense, the pattern the show was setting up is S1 & S4 Hannigram is together and solving crimes (at least in some weird Angel Heart way), S2 & S5 is semi-together, semi-apart Baltimore State Hospital for the Criminally Insane thing (with other stuff), and S3 & S6 on-the-run culminating in Something Big (probably at least partially apart). That doesn't mean this is the way the show would go, but it'd be very easy to write Clarice or an expy coming into the story to chase them down and end up mentored by them (either one or both) with this format.
As for the very final ending of the whole thing, the ending *I* would write may not be the same as what Bryan Fuller would write, but to me it seems both obvious where the show should go and that it would be completely and utterly satisfying to shippers and non-shippers alike. And I have run my theoretical ending by devout Hannigram shippers, and it met their approval. So if I can come up with something that both works for them and works for my sense of completionism in storytelling, then I'm sure Bryan Fuller could. He's way more practiced than me.
I have consistently said that I do not relate to the notion that it'd be better to have them together in one's imagination than it would be to actually see Mads and Hugh acting together in the ACTUAL SHOW, regardless of how that ends. Because here's the thing: my imagination is boundless and endless, and I can get an unlimited amount of Hannigram doing whatever the fuck I please whenever the fuck I please. More show, on the other hand, is rare as hen's teeth. I would take that miracle if I could get it.
The End.

You've spoken about your opinion on sufin but do you have any opinions/headcanons about other nordic shops like dennor and hongice?
I like DenNor, and I get why people ship it! But I just personally never really got into it. To me, they're so brother-coded. Or it may be just one of my delusions once again and me flipping the script. To me, Denmark is a ridiculous older brother, who likes provoking his younger siblings when he's bored and Norway is a more reasonable younger brother, who actually takes care of everything behind the scenes. Denmark is more outgoing with a lot of friends, while Norway is a bit weird and quiet loner. They're opposites, which makes them very entertaining!
Same thing with HongIce; I should be able to ship it. But it just never clicked. It also just never felt that natural. I know they have some canon interactions, but it still feels a bit pushed, y'know. Just taking two of the younger characters and shipping them together. Even shipping Indonesia and Iceland makes more sense to me, and it's something I'm way more interested in. Iceland is just such a tough character to ship anyone with regardless. I just really vibe with the idea of him being so detached from dating and not being particularly interested in the whole topic altogether. And even if he was seeing somebody, he wouldn't dare to introduce them to his family. I do, however, adore Iceland and Hong Kong as friends! They'd have a lot in common; having international friends is cute and fun, and I should make more content about it <3
But I do want to clarify this by saying that it's a me issue, not an issue with the ship itself. I still consume HongIce and DenNor content; I don't dislike the idea nor do I avoid them. I just don't have a strong opinion on the issue one way or another. And there are other relationship dynamics that I prefer with them even more. That's really the only reason why I don't ship them
I've mentioned it before but I see the Nordics as found-family. I always felt that bringing romantic feelings in there is ultimately gonna make it unnecessarily messy and awkward. Unless you're into Nordic polycule!
In my experience, shipping just takes up so much screen time. It doesn't leave a lot of room to explore other things in storytelling. I doubt I'm the only one who feels this way. Especially, when we're talking about country personifications. The world-building aside, you can use these characters to tell something meaningful about your people, compare and learn about different cultures and history. That's so much fun for me; I love seeing and researching topics like that! Storytelling-wise, romance adds drama and it has its place - but it's not going to be fun if that's all that there is
I have to confess that I don't really care about shipping anyway. I'm so out of that loop. Is it imagining two of your favorite characters kissing? Having sex? It probably means different things for different people but I just never felt particularly interested in that. However, I do like imagining and pondering when, where, and why these characters got together. How do they get along? What sort of obstacles they might have? Will they overcome those? It's not so much about thinking how they're together but when and why. But then again, I do that with all sorts of relationships; romantic, familial, parental, or platonic. That's probably why shipping is just a "whatever" topic to me. I get the same "kick" by seeing characters being best friends rather than romantic/sexual partners. But it's true; some characters just make sense as a couple. But DenNor and HongIce are just not those kinds of pairs to me
I am fascinated by people who are really into shipping though. Your minds are so intriguing. You really like the idea of that character getting railed blind and I can respect that. But this shows that people consume and think of fiction in different ways, and all of those ways are valid. So just because I don't ship your OTP, it doesn't mean anything. It doesn't even mean it's bad. I'm just one voice with one opinion! Also if people tag my posts as [ship x], whatever. You can consume and take my posts as you want <3

Hi there! I wanted to ask, what were your impressions/thoughts of Tsurune season 2 episode 1 so far? And the colors symbolism in the opening song with the ribbons? Just curious about your thoughts, thanks and have a great day!! :D
BRUH. I LOVED IT??? FUCK YEAH, THAT WAS AMAZING.
I really wonder how all those annoying Anons who filled my inbox with garbage back in 2019 are feeling right now, because just in this one episode, KyoAni has fixed literally every defect that I had pointed out in S1. The amount of improvement is just surreal.
First of all, the storytelling this season. The freaking storytelling. You can tell the difference between works that a studio actually places their bets on and the ones they don’t by the amount of effort that the animation team puts into the flow of each episode. S1 was an ungodly mix of slow pace that suddenly went too fast at punctual moments without any warning, bad humor, boring tone, missing information, inconsistencies and shit that the animators pulled out of their asses to cover up plot holes. This one, though? Smooth as a feather. Full of well-thought details. Scenes and events connecting properly with one another. Flashbacks very nicely timed. It was entirely an anime-original episode, 90% non-canon content, yet there’s canon info at every single second. I love the little things, such as the way that we’re led to think that the MVP of the sports event is going to be Rika and the show makes use of every possible hint that it’s going to be her, until the very last second, where it turns out that it’s Ryouhei. Awesome screenplay right there. This episode was meticulously planned and it shows.
The changes in visual. The upgrade in the artstyle is the most easily noticeable thing about the animation of this season, but the quality is a million times better too. The characters also have a lot more facial expression now. I once talked about Morimoto Chinatsu’s incredible talent for character design and the way that she goes as far as giving not just different hair and eyes, but also different eyelashes, eyebrows, ears, noses, mouths, chins, jawlines and even fucking wrists to every single character that she drew for the novel. And seeing S1 doing the opposite and giving every character a base face was just... no. So now that there’s been a turnaround and the characters externally show what they’re feeling and thinking, following their journey is a whole new experience. That moment when the team stares at Minato after he answers Masaki’s question is pure character study right there. And it’s probably the most blatant example of this season’s improvement, given that we never had this in the previous one. I also love how the expressions are not just there, they’re on-point. On par with what the novel tells us about them. My biggest peeve with S1 was that I’d look at these kids and a voice at the back of my head would go “who the fuck are you people”. Those weren’t the characters I knew. They didn’t look like them and didn’t act like them. But now I recognize them. These are the kids I read about. They finally feel like themselves.
The symbolism of the series. By God, so many treats in this episode in that regard. The yesterday-today-tomorrow blossom splashed with watercolor in the team’s theme colors. The intimist approach of the shots. The way that Minato and Shuu’s positions oppose each other on-screen. The lighting, the colors, the smear filter… literally everything is more vivid and lively. One of the things I recall commenting about S1 is that it didn’t feel like a KyoAni anime because KyoAni’s works are very immersion-based. You can feel yourself being inside that world, together with the characters. But I couldn’t feel that from Tsurune’s first season at all. With this one, I was able to dive head-first into it. It was absolutely magical. I also love that the leaves that fly out of the targets whenever the characters hit now don’t look so obviously like CGI.
Personality traits. They’re fucking everywhere. Like I said, this was entirely an anime-original episode, yet there’s canon info at every single second. Even better: information that clearly contradicts S1 but that matches the novel. Seiya being a smartass little shit full of wit instead of a Minato-obsessed yandere. Kaito being a team-driven hardworker instead of an obnoxious asshole who wants nothing but victory. Ryouhei actually acting upon his lack of experience in archery to catch up to everyone. Nanao being charismatic and having screen-time of his own instead of being pushed to the background while all his personality and lines are used on Seiya. Minato expressing his thoughts and feelings instead of just being an emotionless doormat who never really does anything. We learned more about the characters in just these 20 minutes than the entirety of the first season. It feels like KyoAni has finally taken a step back to look at the material they had in their hands and truly took in what the novel was about and what each character had going on for them. Even the girls’ team was fleshed out in this one, which was honestly a great surprise. I think we’ve gotten from this episode all the little things we didn’t get from S1, such as the way Noa and Yuuna are fangirls of Rika. The way Nanao shines better as support than as main even though he’s so conspicuous. The fact that Kaito is good at soccer and Seiya loves soccer tactics. The way Ryouhei, who doesn’t know much about archery, is used as the eyes of the viewers, and how unpretentiously the lessons he is taught are presented to us as something that we should also keep in mind (for example, that the target is the archer and the archer is the target, and when you’re at the stage of the draw, you’re aiming at your very own self). And the way that Minato is something in this season. We finally see the inner machinations of his mind here aside from his struggles with target panic.
Lastly (and what I consider to be most important) is that the roles of each character and their relationships with one another seem to be in tune with the novel now. Well, okay, almost. Seiya is still being weird around Masaki, but I guess that’s because it’d be too sudden if Seiya started acting the way he acts in canon (y’know, like a normal fucking person). However, the difference is that the narrative is clearly pushing towards Masaki instead of Seiya now, as it should be. Kaito, Nanao and Ryouhei, who used to be just in the background most of the time in S1 are now set perfectly into their own functions and you can tell that they do exist for reasons other than just fill up the team positions. Nanao also seems to be his own person now instead of living through Kaito. Seiya is being shown looking after the whole club, as the competent club president that he is, instead of just Minato. Minato now has proper reactions to everything and doesn’t just completely ignore when Seiya is being a little shit. Masaki is now acting like a true mentor and already in the first episode we have him giving more advice to the boys than the entirety of the first season. But more than anything else, what caught my attention was Shuu. S1 did him really dirty by giving him scary jealous rival vibes and not expanding at all on his relationship with Minato. As I said before, they’re not your usual sports anime rival duo. They really respect and admire each other, are jealous of each other to some extent, but they’re friends first and foremost. They’re also opposites of one another in every way. We didn’t get any of this in S1, and now we’re getting literally all of it at once. What a fucking blessing.
Honestly, the only things I’m concerned about in this season are 1) Kaito and Seiya’s relationship. It’s probably too late to mend it now and make it the way it is in canon, and it also seems the animators are just not interested in doing that, which kinda hurts, but I guess we can’t have it all. And 2) Minato and Masaki’s relationship. I’m pretty sure that we’re not gonna get the same amount of content for them as there is in the novel, and in the off-chance that we do, it’s just not gonna have the same approach or the same quality. Minato and Masaki are mirrors of each other but the anime vehemently refuses to acknowledge this for some reason. They try to treat Masaki as a completely separate entity that has absolutely nothing in common with Minato despite all of the mystic, supernatural and fate-oriented themes that their connection is centered around and the fact that they’ve gone through very similar experiences and hardships in doing archery. But I’d rather believe that it’s a little too early to make a judgement and wait. Truth remains that the characters and their relationships in the anime will never be nearly as good as they are in the original work no matter how hard they try, so I’m just gonna take what I can get.
Anyway, these are my thoughts on this episode. It was one of the very rare instances where I completely approve of anime-original content in an adaptation.

I am distinctly not the friend. I like Robbie, hes fun. Although i was curious myself once you said you had reasons hdjdndm
My reasons for liking Robbie are pretty much because hes not canon. Free real estate /hj
So one design wise hes really cute and he uses my favorite colour as a pallet. His design is so distinctly different from the other egos who all look relatively like people and he has different coloured skin and different coloured hair, which just gives him a level of individuality the others don't really have.
In terms of other reasons the fact that he is not cannon is a huge contender for why I love him so much. As a character he can be anyway you want, anywhere you want, with any origin story or character trait that you want, in any relationships that you want! No matter what happens in the cannon universe or what head cannons and takes the whole community is arguing over with different interpretations of these characters, Robbie will forever be up to the author's interpretation. He can be agressive and emo and dark like the versions that @d-structive or @sambloom have, he can be cute and fluffy and clueless like robbie im @leobashi and myselfs versions. He can be a mix of both as seen in the art of him by @tracobuttons, there are endles possibilities of how to view this character and there is no wrong and right version. His not being cannon means that there is no way to do his character correctly, and he can be switched up and changed and played with to the artist/authors content!
The baseline premise of this character is also incredibly interesting with him being undead. The other egos have interesting premises but Robbie pretty much requires a made up origin story to function in this world as an undead character. Which means for every version of him that exists someone has delved into their mind and constructed a little origin story for him no matter how wacky or complicated it is everyone has a different version. He inspires people to create their own stories and their own versions of him as a character more than any other ego does. You will always have a baseline of cannon with all of the others but not with Robbie because he has no cannon so you have to make one for him which pushes people to create stories. And because people like to create original stories, most of the origins for Robbie tend to be very different and it's fun to read the different versions and interpretations people have had! it really does show our communities creativity and love for storytelling and lore building. He is a constant reminder of our communities creativity being a character and have walked in many different ways throughout the years and will continue to do so. A walking reminder of how much our wonderful community loves and cherishes artistic interpretations and storytelling.
Last of all, I just think hes pretty neat! I love him, hes my little blorbo, my little skrunkly wunkly, and because sean didnt create him, out community together did, and i made my own interpretation of him, in a way, he's mine, all mine. For me, he has been my favourite ego for years and reminds me of how long and wonderful my journey in this community has been. My online sona is based off of robbie, the pseudonym i use online is robbie, i draw lots of robbie content! I want more Robbie the zombie apreciation please, i never see enough of him anywhere anymore and it breaks my little zombie borbo loving heart.

more on BG Sister Matilda and the Dune Encyclopedia
The Dune Encyclopedia is put together like a collection of different in-universe articles and commentaries, and the result is really interesting if sometimes very frustrating. This kind of meta storytelling approach allowed the contributors to address some of the inadvertent inconsistencies and unexplored elements of the novels' worldbuilding but also to get a little silly with it. The entry on the mandatory SFF fuck-planet Gamont is so freaking weird that I have to share it with my fellow Duneposters -- we're given a passage from the diary of a humble Bene Gesserit laundress as she records the curious customs and peculiar folk songs she encounters there and we get the flavor of the place through her stubbornly innocent POV. This interlude was written by J.R.M. aka Julia Reed; the text that follows is Reed's, while all transcription errors are mine.
[content note: the cultural insensitivity in this is a little different than usual for Dune -- some of the themed areas on Gamont relate to Orientalist and racist fantasies around sexual enslavement drawn from our own Earth history, handled with all the flippancy of a horny Disney theme park. Also the canonicity of this is... dubious.]
****
Sabhaasdii, nAudrim 28:
Cold and windy again today, but the laundry-room is always warm. Lots of sisters complain about Wallach's weather, but not me. My job is a blessing.
Shannisdii, nAudrim 29:
Entertainment tonight. A very special dinner in honor of His Grace, Duke Philippos from Gallatin and his wife — a great lady, you could tell. After supper in the Great Hall, his musicians played and our choir sang. And that was very nice, but then I almost died! His Grace introduced his mentat — a fine-looking man, but tunic not well pressed — and asked him to very kindly favor us with a demonstration. Well, the mentat looked right at me and asked me what I did, so I told him I was the head laundress. Then he wrote something down on a piece of paper, and asked me to ask him any question that I wanted. Well, I don't know why, but the first thing popped into my head, and I said, "How many stars are in the Lyre Nebula?" Then he passed the note to Reverend Mother and asked her to read it out, and she did — it said "The number of stars in the Lyre Nebula is" — and then some big number. Well, that didn't go over too well. I mean, there was some polite applause, but mentats, after all!
Jehansdii, nAudrim 30:
I think I figured it out, what the mentat did. When I went to work this morning, I picked up the soap box and right on the back there's this big ad for a contest "Name the Stars". And it said, how many stars in the Lyre Nebula, and if you fill it out, you win a prize if you're right. And then I remembered that the mentat asked me what I did first, before anything, I still have his paper for a souvenir. I ought to send it in. Serve him right.
Phyllisdii, neSheustim 15:
I won!!! I can't believe it!!! The mentat was right and I won a Two-Week, All- Expense Paid Trip to Gamont, Planet of Pleasure, wherever that is.
Mothersdii. neSheustim 16:
Well I went to 'see Mother Caius today and it was very strange — very strange indeed. Said no. Said Sister Matilda, the trip would be too strenuous for a woman of your years. My years! I said I'm only fifty-seven add I've been doing laundry for forty years, and the the last eight and you can't be all that weak if you can do that. Then I told her just how much wash there was to be toted around. I promised to take Sister Bertha with me, so Mother said we could keep an eye on one another. Then she said something about innocence being the best protection and sent me off.
Glensdii, neSheustim 25:
I've been so busy I've really neglected my diary. A lot to catch up on. First, I'm writing this from Gamont, which is a very odd place. When we got off the ship, there was a wire fence between us and a line marked "Departures," and over on the other side were some Sardaukars of Salvation playing music and handing out pamphlets and passing the tambour. I was going to give them a donation and get some religious reading for the quiet times, but apparently the law allows them only to talk to a person going home, not one coming in. Then we went outside, and people were singing and natives were putting strings of beads around everyone's neck. These beads are to pay for things on Gamont, you just pop one off and use it like money. A very pretty little boy came running over to me and Bertha and said are you from Wallach, Sisters Matilda and Bertha? We said yes and he winked and handed us two brown envelopes. We looked inside and, goodness, the necklaces must have had two hundred beads on them. Later a man said, "Hey, you're Bene Gesserit." And we said that's right, how did you know? He said the B.G.'s always get their beads in plain envelopes. I don't think I'll ever spend all my beads — I mean, how much can one person eat and drink? Maybe souvenirs for the sisters in the laundry.
Twosday, neSheustim 26:
I'm exhausted. I woke up when it was still dark because I could hear someone breathing in bed with me, and I thought "Poor Bertha, she must be homesick," and I said "Now, now, Bertha," and I turned the light on. But no, it wasn't Bertha but a very handsome young man with a mustache. And I said "Young man, get out of my bed immediately!" and I thought, some hotel to make a mistake like that! Well, I guess I woke up Bertha, too, and she screamed because there was a man in her bed, and my young man said, "But I am your guide to the pleasures of Gamont," and I said it was too dark to see anything on Gamont. Then I called the manager and things got straightened out. He said Ahmed and Pol (the boys) would be available in the morning to take us sightseeing. I think this vacation is going to be more of a strain than the spring cleaning wash.
I certainly learned things about Gamont when it got light. I thought it was for vacations, like the seaside on Kestrel where my parents used to take me, and people would build sandcastles and swim and eat ices in the evening.
Gamont is not like that.
The whole place is divided into what they call little worlds. You go inside one and you can pretend you are someone in the past or future and they do all sorts of unusual things. We got in a carriage drawn by a thorse and Ahmed and Pol started to show us the sights.
First we went to Eden. There was a woman dressed up like a snake at the entrance who wanted us to check our clothing and pick a costume from the rack. On the rack marked "Adams'' were all these leaves of all different sizes (but fake ones — cotton), but they were all marked "Extra-Large." There were different brands, too, Fig, Conan, Stud, though what kind of a tree a stud is, I can't say. Well, I certainly wasn't going to get undressed, so we didn't go in Eden.
I asked Ahmed if there wasn't a seashore we could go to, and he said sure, and we drove off again. We came to a world called Nantucket, and decided to have lunch before going to the beech. There was a restaurant called The Flipping Frog. Food all right. There was entertainment, too — a man and a woman sang a very funny (but sometimes puzzling) song. Here's what I remember about the beginning:
First the girl sang,
"Who's that knocking on my door?" "Who's that knocking on my door?" "Who's that knocking on my door?" Said the fair young maiden.
The boy answered,
"D' ye ken me still, I'm Barnacle Bill, O' the 'Rakis Royal Navy. And here I stand, come from 'neath the sand, With the 'Rakis Royal Navy."
So the girl told him to wipe his feet upon the mat, but there must have been a hundred verses, and our food came, and I don't remember the rest. Afterwards we went to the beach. Bertha and I had a good time wading and enjoying the sun. Ahmed and Pol played cards.
Oh, I almost forgot: Gamont has seven days in its week. They're called Funday, Manday, Twosday, Womanday, Threesday, Tryitday, and Satyrday. When the couple was singing, Bertha almost choked, she was laughing so hard and her face got so red. I asked her what was wrong, and she said, "When in Gamont, do as the Gamontians do." So I'm dating my diary differently while we're here. It'll be a nice memento.
Womanday, neSheustim 27:
I had a scare today. Went to Harem World and lost Bertha. We put costumes on — pretty things, but sheer, my goodness, you can see right through them. Little sheer pink top. Full, gathered pantaloon thing. Pretty gold belt. Hand wash, I guess, in cold water. But anyway, I think Bertha's getting upset by the excitement or something. I kept my underwear on when I put the costume on, but Bertha didn't. And I started to scold her, but she just gave me that "When on Gamont" business again.
Well, we went into the palace, and it was beautiful, I must say that for it, but a little gaudy — soft music and water splashing in fountains and men and women lolling around in little dark alcoves. Two huge men in turbans took us to reclining harem-chairs, and I guess I went to sleep. When I woke up Bertha was gone. I yelled for Ahmed and Pol and they came running from somewhere pulling their clothes on. I guess they were napping too. So we looked for Bertha through long dark hallways with men in turbans in front of the doors. They wouldn't let me in, so I just called out at each door we came to. Then we came to a door that said "Sultan's Chamber," and it was open, and inside there was Bertha, stark naked, sitting on a big red velvet pouffy cushion thing. I told the boys to shut their eyes and went in. Bertha just kept grinning, and saying, "The Sultan chose me, the Sultan chose me." I got her dressed and the boys helped me take her back to the hotel. I told Pol to stay in the room with her all day tomorrow and make sure she stayed quiet and rested.
Threesday, Jehannesdii, neSheustim 28:
After yesterday's scare and today's shock, I know I'll live forever, because if they didn't kill me, nothing will. There is a Bene Gesserit House on Gamont! Why didn't Mother Caius tell me? I think I know.
Ahmed was driving me in the carriage through the streets, and I was looking at the places — Ol' Plantation, Gay Paree — when I saw a little shop called "Ve Haf Vays" and I told Ahmed to stop. I'd been wanting to get some souvenirs for the sisters at home, and this was a leather-goods store with beautiful belts and boots in the window. Not much of a selection though — everything was black, besides there were too many buckles and straps and things. They even had whips, though why anyone would want to whip a sweet gentle creature like a thorse I don't know. Anyway, there I was in front of the store when I saw the B.G. emblem on the house on the comer. I couldn't believe my eyes. But I was so happy. I went right up to the door and knocked.
A little old sister opened the door, but she seemed surprised to see me — she said "They usually send younger ones." Then she shook her head and said "No accounting for taste" and led me into the parlor. And all over the walls of the parlor were these pictures of women. Well, I won't try to describe them, but let me tell you I recognized some. There was that nice young (and smart) Helen Mohiam, and it's beyond me why she would let them take a picture of her sun-bathing.
The head of the house (I will not call her Mother) came in, her face all painted and her eyelashes all long and black with some stuff on them. She says, "You're not one of my girls. Who are you?"
"No," I said, "I'm Sister Matilda, the head laundress from Wallach come to see your house. Who are you?”
And she said, "I'm the Procuratrix. Are you a lay sister?"
"Certainly not. I am a regularly professed sister and have been for forty years. And what, I'd like to know, is a lay sister?"
She said, "Oh, think of it as a little joke." And then she began the most garbled and incredible story I've ever heard. It seems there are three kinds of sisters — the regular ones that live in the chapter houses, and some that go into the world and marry and have families — well, I knew that — but then there are others, the lay sisters (some joke!), whose job is to infiltrate the Great Houses and let the sisterhood know what's going on.
"Aren't the women sent to the courts regular sisters?" I asked.
"Well, they are," she said, "in a manner of speaking. You know."
"No, I don't," I said.
"Well, put it this way," she said, "they serve as concubines and sometimes even wives. They come here to Gamont to learn the best ways of pleasing themselves and their royal lovers."
Maxine (that was her name) wanted to give me some brandy, but I'd never drink anything in that place. I went back to the carriage and straight to the hotel. Bertha was gone again, but I thought, she's on her own this time. I packed my things. And Bertha came back with Pol, and I said "I'm leaving." But she said, "We have so many beads left." "Do as you please," I said, "but tomorrow I'm going."
Tryitday Phyllisdii Matilda's Day, neSheustim 29:
When I checked out this morning, I just sat in the lobby. I didn't know where to go — I don't care about Eden or The Ol' Plantation or Harem World, but I don't want to go back to Wallach either. I'm not young, I know, but I'm not stupid, and I'm not sneaky, either. There are things I can do, and do well, and that ought to be enough for anybody. I won't use other people because I wouldn't want them to use me, and I won’t be a part of anything that does. I know what my duty is — I need to tell the Emperor just what's going on here — then it's his problem and I wash my hands of the matter. Pol and Ahmed are here — they flipped a coin (they said it's a local custom) and Ahmed is my guide today. So this diary goes in an envelope for the Imperial Mail. I'll have Ahmed take it there, then I'm going to take my bags and go ask for a job at one of the other places I saw. With my experience I know there’ll be something for me to do at "Suds and Bubbles."

I noticed something with Raph and don’s relationship in 03 vs 12. In 03 they seem to get along so well but in 12 they seem to hate each other but that can just be that 12 Donnie tends to yell more and lose his temper while 03 Don is like a fury of a storm which takes time to build up. No hate btw I just feel 03 Don and Raph have a better relationship? What do you think?
Okay you’ve unlocked a long answer but I’ll give a short one first and put the essay under the cut, heheh
Short answer: Yes I agree. 2012 Raph and Don have soft moments, but Donnie makes fun of Raph’s emotions weirdly a lot and for no reason? And insults his intelligence (I know it’s not always on purpose but sometimes it is). And Raph doesn’t mind scaring Donnie to get his way. They both do get better throughout the show. But if 2012 Raph and Donnie met 2003 Raph and Donnie I do think they’d be surprised how close they are.
Long answer:
Hard agree. That’s part of why it took me so long to warm up to 2012. Even still I don’t watch it I just like the fan content. I will say, 2012 pacing is different which I think makes them feel meaner? Like it’s a different style of storytelling that’s more likely to… not trivialize exactly? A lot of things are played for laughs that wouldn’t be in 2003. Like Raph is very mean to Donnie about his crush on April but that’s less the show writers showing us who Raph is and more them inventing Donnie angst imo. And when they need Raph to get really angry for plots it’s usually Donnie who says the cruelest things because Leo’s the main character and Mikey’s the sweetheart.
In 1987 Raphael and Donatello make fun of each other constantly. I think 2012 might be drawing on that. I mean, to me, the 1987 dynamic still felt warmer? Maybe because both characters were mean to everyone, as opposed to mostly each other. But for example, one of my fave episodes, Raphael vs The Volcano. Donatello invents some kind of health-o-meter that Raphael is immediately skeptical of, and when he’s scanned it says he’s about to die. So Raphael is making fun of something that’s clearly important to Donatello right out of the gate, BUT, he spends the rest of the episode taking it very seriously, going around doing good deeds and taking insane risks because he thinks he’s gonna die anyway (and wow okay. Okay. Sure just stomp on my heart and do it in a silly font so that I’ll feel stupid complaining about it. 1987 turtles are fluffy bunnies who will you). Anyway when the other turtles find Raphael inside of an active volcano trying to prevent its upcoming eruption, Donatello is the one coming down from the helicopter to greet him. In fact Donatello is always sticking close to Raphael and even mimicking his tonal patterns. It’s a very sweet warm-feeling moment between two brothers who we constantly see together, who have been apart for a whole episode and their last conversation was a disagreement about Donatello’s latest invention. Here’s what the moment sounds like:
“Hey IIIIDiooot~~”
Which is definitely exactly something Raphael would say to Donatello, probably also while saving his life. I just. They’re both such jerks but they’re still so soft with each other in a way I can’t even explain. And it feels like 2003 prioritized preserving the softness while 2012 focused on preserving the humor. Idk 2012 also just tends to be… angstier? About the family dynamics? Which it is cool to watch their growth, that is a strength. I didn’t want to sit through three seasons of unnecessary comments and veiled threats first though, personally
Anyway my preferred imaginary interpretation of 2012 is that Raph and Donnie are besties, they just express their affection through sarcasm and screaming. Which isn’t necessarily what we’re shown? But I don’t think canon contradicts it either.
This is making me want to explore the idea of 03 Raph meeting and adopting the 12 boys. Imagine 12 Donnie seeing how close their counterparts are and being jealous (I say Donnie being the jealous one because I think he would be the most immature about it which with 03 Raph’s help would lead to some ~healthy conversations~).

I was just rereading Insomniacs Anonymous (which, good stuff 👍👍) and I was just wondering if you've seen Miraculous season 5 yet? And if so, thoughts?
Why thank you~ ✨
And yes! I have seen Miraculous Season 5. You might notice in one of the A/Ns in Insomniacs Anonymous I say that the story won't be following Season 5. Mainly because the story starts somewhere in Season 4 and diverges from canon from there, you know how that goes.
As for Season 5... I think this season made me realize that this genre is not meant for me. Yes, it's superhero media (and I love superhero media; I still need to catch up on Invincible before they release the rest of Season 2), but the genre itself is very different. Like how Captain America: Winter Soldier is action (you could even make an argument that it has aspects of the thriller genre), while She-Hulk is comedy. They're both superhero mediums, but the content and storytelling are completely different.
In general, I have a very complicated relationship with Miraculous Ladybug. I don't read fanfiction for it anymore, and I dropped a lot of the MLB blogs I used to follow.
A lot of my problems aren't even from Season 5 but comes from the show altogether. The characterizations are very inconsistent, and the writers often ignore their own worldbuilding. They'll create hard rules and then backtrack.
I'm not a huge fan of how Thomas Astruc handles the show and some of the characters. Keep in mind, this is the same man that once said Jesus Christ used a Miraculous, before he rescinded the statement when he realizes oh fuck this is a bad idea.
I think a lot of it comes down to the fact that there is so much potential, but at the end of the day, this isn't the genre for it. Their focus is on something else, so I can't judge it based on what genre I want it to be.
It's also a little disappointing because there are so many other cartoons that are limited by their ratings as well but they can do so much more with it. Like, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is rated PG. That movie had depth and character growth and never once lost its charm and humor.
But I know there are those that really enjoy it, and honestly? It makes me really happy. Buggachat has some amazing art; her Bakery "Enemies" AU is an incredible display of love for the show. She also has some great analysis posts about the series, and Season 5, that I would recommend. There was a post she made about the Season 5 finale that made me appreciate it more. There's also frostedpuffs who makes beautiful pieces of art and fanfiction.
I'm never going to criticize anyone that enjoys it. I know what it's like to be interested in a piece of media that gets a lot of contention and discourse. With the rise in popularity with DPxDC, I've seen a lot of posts that gave bad faith interpretations of Danny Phantom because they didn't try to look into the show beyond the tropes they saw and disliked. Hell, just yesterday I saw the most rancid take on a beloved character that had absolutely no depth or nuance.
There are so many times when I'll see these posts and just know they've got it all wrong. Because they don't love the show. Sometimes they know the show, but they don't love it. You know what they say about authors and directors and creators who get their hands on a character they hate- they ruin them. Because they don't love them.
I don't love Miraculous Ladybug. There are parts about the show that I wasn't fond of, and then I'll see analysis posts about how the episode fits into the series as a whole, and you know what: they make sense. I couldn't have thought about it that way, because I simply don't love the show like they do. And I don't have to.
I don't think I'll watch Season 6 when it comes out. I was morbidly curious about Season 5 after the Season 4 finale, but knowing that the studio is hoping to produce 8 season total, I don't think I can commit to that. The show just isn't for me, and it's time I accept that and move on.
I'll still play in my little corner of the playground, but I think otherwise I'll just stand aside and let everyone else play with their toys how they want to.

I was watching Springtrap and Deliah for the first time and I'm not too deep into it yet but there's certainly some things that I don't like at all as in they feel too... dumb, others that I feel they are on point, even more than other media out there. It's a mix bag.
But I'm on the part where Springs is talking about his motives with Deliah, and although I have some mixed thoughts on it got me thinking of videogame/canon Springtrap motives.
Of course we're never supposed to know the actual motives (until the books came and say that it was because he's looking for immortality or whatever weird remnant mad scientist retcon thing happened there), that's left to interpretation and I wouldn't like it any other way because it gives me opportunity to think of why and make that my own canon.
I don't read the books, I don't care much about them other than morbid curiosity in the same way one would like to hear the rumors of a train wreck as it's happening, I'm sure they are good on their own. And I have a different approach to the timeline/s of the game and what is canon. So let me explain that first.
My understanding and how I take the story is that there's by now three different canons and they are all valid. Three different timelines or alternate universes because of how the game's stories were planed and how they have been retconed. So we have the purple guy timeline universe, that goes from FNAF 1 to 3. Is the security guard and phone guy and possessed animatronics. FNAF 4 is in limbo between purple guy era and Afton era. Then there's another alternate universe that is the Afton era, that goes not from sister location onwards but from FNAF 1 again all the way to pizzeria simulator because it's the first retcon, which means it recontextualizes what happens in the first games, so it should be considered separate because that doesn't mean the first ones didn't happen since the story was finished and complete at the time of FNAF 3, it just means it's another story with similar events and characters, it's an alternate reality where mad scientist and roboticist Afton is the unknown killer and Mike is the security guard and all the drama with the Emilys. And then there's Glitchtrap/mimic era, which is another another retcon the moment they put into question the validity of all previous games, it goes again from FNAF 1 to current content because it recontextualizes everything for the purpose of a new story. So for my own sanity and so I can keep enjoying all stories without having to try to make sense of them as if they are a single continuity that should make sense, I'm just treating them differently, each with their own timelines and canons and whatever. That way you don't have to try to sell me that everything needs to make perfect sense with everything and that all of it it's an epic saga with a plan and genius storytelling or anything, Scott... I don't want another Warcraft "The jailer was behind it all" and "it's the awaited epic conclusion of the 20 year long story" when it's clearly not because nothing was planned like that.... But whatever, tangent.
So, I'm going to be referring to the purple guy era here. The Purple guy universe where he was just an unknown serial killer and the supernatural is tone is just that, spirit and animatronics coming to life because they are possessed. OG FNAF.
So in this, my interpretation for why Purple guy was going around killing kids specifically is maybe because he just hates kids. Not as in "oh they are so annoying", more in like what kids are supposed to represent. It's a very dark mindset to get into but maybe he just despised to see them happy and to see their innocence. Maybe he was envious of it. Or maybe he just couldn't comprehend it. Kinda like cute-aggression (yes, it's an actual term) but to the extreme, which refers to someone seeing something so so overwhelmingly cute their mind can't comprehend it, gets overloaded and to try to remedy what's happening it resorts to hurt it or destroy it, or twist it in some way to go back to something more familiar and manageable, comprehensible and logical. And it apparently is a phenomenon that some people with a past of abuse have. So, I don't know what could have been the motive for why he ends up hating kids. Maybe the only way he comprehends it is to destroy it because he himself didn't had that as a child or in life so it doesn't compute. Maybe he doesn't hate them, maybe he even envies them or admires them, but it's the only way he can comprehend it and tolerate actually seeing it. Who knows, it's something really twisted and wrong of course because he's a serial killer, but that's why I think FNAF 3 was so impactful and cool, because we defend ourselves from this guy, just one animatronic, and in the end we know he gets the same fate as his victims, and then dies finally (until he didn't) and the souls are put to rest finally. Deliah and Springtrap is a different interpretation for why. Everyone has their own theories.
This subject is dark so I'll leave at that. Will keep watching the videos and see where the story goes, which I think is set in that same Purple guy era.

The amount of posts I've had to see about how the sperm donor arc is actually brilliant storytelling and you just don't get it yet but wait and see till 6b!! is making me honestly sick. I love going to your blog to be reminded that it's ok to dislike this arc (and that I don't need to write several long posts defending this opinion). (also I've been unfollowing so many people because I simply cannot stand this forced positivity.
My latest take (one I haven't really discussed before): a reason for the toxic positivity is because if everyone who is losing faith in the show and disliking storylines/characters actually did stop watching...How would those ratings look? Would certain actors be a "lock" for the future, or would they contemplate other opportunities just in case? What would the fandom look like? Weeding out the "fakes" is good and all, but if a fandom needs to only have like-minded people for it to be "fun"...will there be content to reblog outside of the same...five-to-ten accounts? And how many fans will actually be able to reblog it? These content creators complain about the ratio now...what do they expect if they manage to "kick out" the majority who don't fall in line with their thinking? The one thing I agree with from that side of fandom is that people should know better than to complain in the inbox of someone who doesn't want to hear it (I have my limits, too. Like when I explain something three different times and get asked again. That's why the ask tag exists, babes.) But they're not showing maturity, either, by giving that person the attention they want just because it's an opportunity to feel "smart" and have their mutuals be like "go OFF, bestie!! so true!!" (It's very high school, which is understandable because many people haven't let go of their high school experience!) I guarantee that the folks pushing the toxic positivity have complaints they save for discord/group chats/PMs solely because they don't want to be accused of "killing the vibe" or "inviting drama". They only put out what they want people to see (to read) and create this image of being above it all, especially if they're "fandom elders" who think they're supposed to be knowledgeable. As for the "wait and see" advice? Agreed - when we're in-season and only have to wait those seven days to find out if something is going to be addressed. But during the midseason or full season finales? What then? What is there to talk about besides what just occurred in canon? What would they like the fandom to do? Die and come back to life in the spring and fall?

Fanfic Masterlist (last updated February 8th 2024)
Where the east wind doesn´t blow (in progress) fandoms (crossover): Sherlock (BBC) x Enola Holmes movies chapters: 6/? quick summary: „Enola.“ Sherlock rolled the word in his mouth. It felt odd, yet strangely at home on his tongue. „That´s “alone“, spelled backwards.“ Enola simply smiled as she looked away, outside the window to the streets of then rainy London streets. It was a brief look, seemingly without a reason. It began to rain outside. „My mother´s a big fan of word games.“ She said, her eyes turning to the ground. Sherlock noticed her hands began to shake again as she partially curled up on herself.
Someday you´ll return (and I´ll be gone) (finished) fandom: The Sandman (2022) chapters: 3 quick summary: Once upon a time, there was a fairytale about a beautiful lady trapped in a tall tower by an evil witch. The lady in the story was incredibly beautiful, with golden hair so long they reached the bottom of the tower when she let them down through the window – the only way in and out of her stone prison. As stories often go, there was truth to it, one that had since morphed into something slightly different after being passed from mouth to mouth to ink and paper, written down into a book with a considerable amount of creative liberty. Let´s tell the story once again, now unchanged. And let´s tell it properly - from the beginning.
Two halves of the same orange (finished) fandom: Our flag means death (2022) chapters: 11 quick summary: A continuation of season 1, very minor difference to canon. It´s basically a collection of my headcanons with a bit of stuff that could possibly happen in canon and very poor integration of Spanish (I tried). First fic i finished (yay). additional note: I may put out additional content for this story (short stories and POVs that didn´t make the final cut) in the future, but for now, this is it.
The story of a storyteller (in progress) - DISCONTINUED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE fandom: The Sandman (2022) chapters: 14/? quick summary: An ordinary girl named Sarah suddenly appears to be transported to a different universe, one she considered nothing more than a good story. Running into the characters she only read about, however seems to put that view to the test. additional note: OC-centric, Hob x Dream in this one is present, but off to the side. Is this self-indulgent ? Unapologetically, but i will at least try to treat it with respect. I haven´t seen a single one story anywhere which deals with OC (or hell, even a reader insert) having knowledge of the Sandman universe so I´m looking forward to writing the rest of this very much. another additional note regarding content warnings: some chapters deal with heavier topics than the majority of the story. Those chapters have specific content warning in the notes at the beginning of the fic. Reader discretion advised.
The party goes with you (finished) fandom: The Sandman (2022) chapters: 1 quick summary: The days melt into each other for Hob Gadling once his old friend disappears. When Death comes to deliver the news of his demise, however, there is yet a shard of hope about the air.
The skin of a killer, the song of a longing heart (finished) fandom: The Sandman (2022) chapters: 1 quick summary: Hob wants to know more about Dream. Dream can only know about Hob what he directly tells him because he literally can´t see or hear any of his dreams. Things take an interesting turn. Or What 600 years of longing can do to two people who have very romantic feelings about one another with nowhere else to put them

I was turned off from the hype of Brigerton early on (idk I wasn't feeling it) but I've been seeing gif sets of Kate and Anthony and I'm kind of obsessed. Would I need to watch season 1 for me to get it or can i skip right into season 2 for the kathony canon content?
Ohmygod hello! I'm so flattered you regard my opinion highly enough to ask me about this! Honestly you're so valid and I'm SO happy that Kathony is drawing in people who were never interested in Bridgerton before S2 dropped. More under the cut because as always this got LONG:
Okay so this is tricky and really depends what you're into as a romance fan? S1 is about Simon and Daphne and they are a fake dating trope which was really fun and wholesome to watch! S2 is of course Kate and Anthony and they are PEAK Enemies to Lovers and are very HOT. While the romances each season are stand alone - S1 does have a storyline for Anthony which acts as a prequel for his story in S2 I'll talk more about later in this post.
Honestly as much as I adore Kathony but their season was all over the place as a cohesive story - at times it felt like I was watching two different shows because there was an annoying plotline that didn't connect to the main story and romance AT ALL. (Honestly I always skip their scenes on my rewatch feel free to do the same).
It was shit as an adaptation which is why I'm currently an S2 hater like I love the Kathony of it all but the rest of the season can get fucked - and its mainly because I'm a huge fan of their book. So I would recommend just watching S2 and then reading their book for more of their scenes together - for all her flaws Julia Quinn really FED US with the Kathony content. Also Kate's family is featured more and they are so wholesome! Kate even gets a fully fleshed out backstory (minor spoiler but we were robbed of that in the show) My friend did that and she said the book after watching S2 first felt like a comfort cos you got more scenes. Whereas a book reader, we felt robbed of a lot of pivotal book scenes.
If you have the time and are up for it, I would definitely recommend watching S1 because it was a solid adaptation of Book 1 and Anthony's arc in it is so compelling - yes he was a dick and everyone thought he was annoying af (not me though I've always loved my hot mentally ill eldest sibling clown) but really it's a shield to protect himself from his past trauma - no spoilers but it gets covered in S2! So to see his development from S1 to S2 is very satisfying if you want the whole picture.
Simon and Daphne are cute until their main conflict which was pretty fucked up and going to try to keep it vague but spoilers for S1EP6 at timestamps 47:15 to 49:40 there's a sex scene that turns into an assault at 48:50 and it just soured the rest of the series for me because the perpetrator never atones for their actions. If that's a trigger for you I would suggest just skip that scene all together and come up with a conflict of your own for the couple lmao.
Other than the SA, it was a pretty solid first season, a good introduction to the main family and characters and a cohesive story, the side plots actually worked and the main characters were actually connected to most of them so it didn't feel as disconnected.
Storytelling aspect aside, I will say Kathony is the superior couple just because Simone Ashley and Jonathan Bailey have INSANE CHEMISTRY and that's what you're seeing in the gifs so I'm not surprised you're hooked! And honestly ignoring the issues I had with the season itself, all their scenes are HOT and amazing and I love these two fucked up clowns in love so much.
Do let me know if you end up watching it and what you think of the show! Honestly if you would just prefer reading, then I recommend just reading the books only (Kathony's book is Book 2 named The Viscount Who Loved Me) I wouldn't bother with the show (it's slowly becoming my new PJO movies/ATLA live action)

EVERYONE...
...
please try to not send so many "why X and Y is not a thing" in my inbox.
I appreciate that you want to know my opinion. I really do. Also for other ships!
But please also understand that I am no expert for any of the other ships!
I'm a person who can tell you in detail about FRobin and the fandom surrounding it and give my headcanons about the story and the Strawhats. I can try to give my honest opinions and ideas - as a storyteller - about what is going to happen in One Piece (probably not correct but with good reasoning, lol).
But I try to stay neutral about other ships! I do ship other stuff of course. But they don't belong here even though I sometimes slip... I am far from perfect (it's not hard to find my main or art blog, lol).
I am very much a friend of ship and let ship! So if someone is shipping Law and Robin, they can do that. If they love Nami and Robin, they are absolutely fine. They like Robin and Jinbe, good for them. They ship Franky and Book, more power to them. They enjoy Franky and Zoro, hey why not. Franky and Doflamingo, unusual but be my guest.
Just don't try to argue why FRobin is not a thing. Because I know it's not a thing. But your ship is also not a thing. We're in a stalemate, friend.
Yes, you can come into my inbox and tell me why for example Zoro and Sanji is going to become canon and not Zoro and Robin and I will answer to that and give you the platform... but that is not the point of this blog!
This blog is first and foremost PRO FRobin.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Give me FRobin headcanons and ideas (like some of you already do and I love you for that!!!) or post on your blog too so I can reblog your stuff! Headcanon, texts, analysis, ideas!
And I'm sorry if that is not what you hope for but this is what I made this blog for. To create a place for people to find Franky/Robin content to have a place to talk about it and to find other fans.
Anway, I'm still working through all your asks. right now every 24 hours two posts are coming out of the queue. To answer the asks it takes a few hours most of the time, sometimes because tumblr decides to bugger off and eat the post and I have to rewrite it or maybe because I reread some chapters or rewatch a whole movie. I don't take any of your asks lightly.
Which reminds me:
Hey anon, whos' asks I consider a Troll ask because of the way it is asked and the time it appeared in my in-box... sure smells like stirring the shit to me.
So, if you weren't a Troll, consider how you ask your questions...
But to answer it: I don't think Oda even thinks about the people behind the ships. He might know which ships exists and have opinions about those but won't think about the people behind them except for maybe "lol, girls.".
I know I wouldn't think about the people behind the ships if I were a famous author. And I don't think about the people behind other ships nowaday. Why would I? I rather concentrate on the peole who are shipping with me and try to create a good time for them! I sometimes wonder what kind of people are here with me...
I think it's people who might be disappointed by their parents, who enjoy wholesome relationships, are into height differences and love it when the man, not afraid of his emotions is adoring their badass wife. They might be mostly on the oder side 25+ but some are also younger. They are more silent and calm but often very dedicated.
That is how I see FRobin fans. And still this is so vague and I like to think I'm an expert. But everyone is different.
...
Anyway, everyone please be patient with me. I do have a real life and I have other fandom blogs too. I try! I really do!
If you all read this, thank you so much.

Hey! I'm finally (at long last) getting back to my read-through of music AU, with the hopes of having time and headspace to finish in the next few days.
I realize this was a long time ago for you and your readers, so please don't feel like you have to post this if you've moved on--but I'm still enjoying the heck out of this story and feel compelled to tell you so in great detail. So, here's chapter 6:
-“Seeping in, the way water creeps slowly through the crack beneath a door.” Must you remind me of THAT scene in Ep. 9?
-“Dani forgets to pass on Peter’s message, if forgetting is what you call not considering it worthwhile.” This is so casually savage, and exactly what Peter Quint deserves. Delightful.
-This bit where Dani realizes that the pull she felt from the first iteration of Us was in fact a magic-constructed facade is really interesting. So is the contrast—the facade of the band vs. the magic/music showing her the truth of Jamie. Makes me wonder how the band’s effect on the audience might be different with Jamie (and Dani) on stage.
-“I could be boring, Jamie Taylor.” Could she? Could she really? If the thing inside her head is waking, if the music invading her bones is a lie, if she does not—could never—truly belong with these people who have grown to love her? Could she really be boring?” This feels like the road map to where (I think) they are going—I could see an endgame where all of these people walked away from the band but remained family to one another (except Peter. He can walk away from the band into a lake).
-I’m not going to quote all of it, because there’s just a lot, but I really enjoy watching Dani think and feel her way through being in a relationship with someone she actually wants for the first time. You capture that rush of, “Oh, THIS is what it’s supposed to feel like” really well.
-“Her voice is warm, the words tumbling easily past her lips. It’s like being told a bedtime story by an accomplished weaver, someone who has come to so many stories over so many years that they can’t help but turn any sentence into a glorious tale. That’ll be Jamie, someday, Dani thinks. The music in her has nothing to do with it; it’s simply who Jamie is. The witness. The storyteller.” Ah, there it is. Love that Dani recognizes this growing in Jamie before Jamie really comes into it herself.
-This is a really beautiful distinction between keeping something secret out of fear and shame and keeping something secret to nurture and cherish it.
-“But Jamie now is opening that space to Dani like she never wanted to be alone at all.” I’m not sure there’s a single trope I love more than “aloof cynic with giant marshmallow heart.”
“Dani’s heart is full and her head is quiet…” the follow-up joke almost made me miss what a lovely, succinct description of contentment this is.
This entire conversation with Rebecca is half “Peter Quint is a tool” (which, true) and half Jamie and Dani blindly defending one another in ways shaped by their very different personalities, and I love it.
-“Dani could leave her hanging now. Could shake her head, walk away, cherish these last two weeks as a memory she’ll never match again. She could protect Jamie from this, as Jamie tried to protect her with Peter Quint.” I love this, because I haven’t seen anybody else try to describe the warring emotions we see in Dani in canon before she takes Jamie’s extended pinky. And here you’ve done it perfectly—just, you know, in a completely different setting.
-“I finally saw magic.” Ruh-roh
My friend, detailed comments of the “I love this” variety never get old. I hope life is treating you well and that your headspace remains cheerful. (And that you enjoy the rest of the story. I forgot just how damn long it was.)

English is not my main language, so... I will most likely make some mistakes (grammar etc.) but I will try my best. :>
I'm really nervous about this whole thing. I don't know how people will react to this blog. But I'm just going to yeet myself into cold water and see what happens.
Anyway, I created this blog because I wanted to see what it would be like to have my very own centered around a certain topic. This little blog will be focused on my own SCP canon plus the ocs in it. This includes the O5 council, agents and members from other GOI.
WARNING!! This blog will mention serious topics!! Some characters have dealt with bullying, homophobia and more!! Please be careful. I will try my best to tag posts like that include triggers.
Also I won't reveal my exact age but I am over 18 years old. So I would prefer that everyone who might interact with this blog is also an adult.
DNI (if you think I forgot something, please let me know):
- transphobes
- homophobes
- anti lgbtqia+ overall
- maps
- albeists
- racists
- anti oc x canon (seriously, people who do oc x canon are just people and if you think a ship is problematic you can calmly tell them)
Since this is my first ask blog, I still have to figure things out, I'm not an expert :3
For now anonymous asks are turned off, I might turn them on eventually.
Alright, enough chit-chat. Let's jump over to the SCP stuff .
First things first: This blog is indeed inspired by other similar blogs. Tumblr has some really cool blogs focused on SCP content.
Let me finally start talking a bit more about my canon:
1. The veil is NOT lifted.
2. The Foundation has a pretty chill relationship with the GOC and Serpent's Hand.
3. Their relationship with the Chaos Insurgency... well, it's complicated.
4. There are different humanoid species. This includes the Saints, Starborn and Stareater.
5. Most characters you might know from the wiki do not exist in this canon. However, who knows? We might actually encounter a Clef from another canon.
I... I'm going to drop a character list. Because I have a bunch of them, and a list might help you all keeping track. Also, all of the characters are adults.

Juvenile (Pkmn/Prsk crossover) Prologue notes extended
Okay! So! This is the start of a little big something I've been sitting on for a while. For the last several months (since at least April 2023) I've been occasionally poking at this ever-expanding AU in my phone's notes, adding ideas for story beats and things to do with the characters and world. I always figured I wouldn't actually turn this into a real thing and figured I'd just keep it to my own imagination but the brainworms eventually won, so here I am!
Uh, so I don't know how "good" this is gonna be? Hell even this first chapter I'm already worried that maybe I tried to do too much at once. As I was writing a lot of extra ideas hit me for how I could better build this as a solid foundation of the rest of the story. I wanted every scene to like, matter, yknow? It might just straight up be too long! But any time I considered cutting a scene just to make things more brief I was like "no, no, I need that part". I could have also cut it into multiple chapters but it's the same amount of content so like, what would the point be. If you're wondering, the break points for a 3-chapter version of this would have been Mafuyu showing up at Kanade's place and Kanade seeing the others off at the train station.
Right off the bat, the prologue is a bit different tonally and I wanna talk about that. There's not a super high saturation of Pokemon stuff in this opening! I hope that isn't too weird considering this is a Pokemon AU! I wanted to ease Kanade into it before dropping her in the deep end for the last chunk. When the next chapter hits, we’ll be in full on Poke-mode. This chapter also has a handful of more serious moments, which is par for the course since y'know, Niigo. I actually cut out or edited some bleaker moments because I thought they felt out of place, lol. It's gonna get a lot more consistently lighthearted from here, I promise! (Mostly!)
I have the broad strokes of this story outlined, both in written notes and a map that I scribbled out. I don't have all the details in-between locked in, I'm being flexible there, but I know where I want this to go and generally speaking what I want to do with the whole cast.
I'm not aiming for anything super profound with this, and I have no practical experience in long-form storytelling. Hopefully that doesn't bite me in the butt too hard. Going forward, some chapters might end up being mostly choreographed action, some might be the characters sitting around talking for a few thousand words. At the end of the day, this is just me having fun with my favorite characters in one of my favorite fictional words. I'm trying to not think so hard that I corner myself.
On that note, I think it's worth noting up front that this is very much my version of these characters in my version of Unova. Not in a "my fic don't like don't read" kind of way but like... you might not agree with every choice?
For the most part character origins will have to be built from the ground up, though as you can see from this first chapter I've tried to keep bits and pieces from canon that I think naturally fit. Niigo's origin story is honestly pretty easy to write and intuit around considering they first met remotely. And while I did do a lot of expositing in this opening I think that instead of every character getting an airtight, perfectly laid out backstory, I'll leave some things to the imagination.
As far as the laws of the Pokemon universe goes, it probably goes without saying that I definitely won't be following strict rules from the games. Some Pokemon might end up learning moves that aren't in their learnset, for example (or at least, if they make sense for the Mon in question). Some moves and abilities might have their function tweaked for this context, or I might go for a different interpretation of how the move manifests physically. There’ll be Pokemon that have more than literally four moves. Stuff like that. I'm inserting some headcanons, some ideas that I think fill in gaps in the world building, and there'll be a lot of changes to the design of the world. I joke to myself that this is a "post-globalism Unova", because there's some locations that are really different, a couple totally original locations, and Pokemon here that don't show up in Pokemon BW/2. You could call it "anime logic" if you want, I just think loosening the rules makes things more interesting and fun to write and read.
One more little nugget: In case you didn't recognize it, the title is from the Jin song made for the Project Voltage collab! It's my favorite song so far from the crossover, it makes me feel so many things. It just felt like a perfect fit for this story vibes-wise, as well as a fun coincidence since I’d been imagining Kanade with an Eevee for months beforehand.
I may run out of steam eventually, but I'm publishing this first chapter because I'm currently feeling fired up about it. Even if the current enthusiasm wanes over time this'll be here for me to poke with an update whenever I want.
I'd love for you to join me on this silly journey, and I hope you can enjoy it!
