so I always play the intro and outro because I love them so much and another thing caught my eye that might be nothing but is there a reason the women and men are reaching up, with Falin and Laios the ones in the center, and then them grasping hands? it feels meaningful anyway

they've reached the stairs they have to take to reach the 5th basement floor, near the orc's settlement (where the orc leader told them the red dragon was seen, hanging out and causing problems)

but the staircase is filled with tentacles so they can't just stroll down lol

the dwarfs hid in the lands (where haughtypants is a lord now ig) and waited for the elves, and even after the war they continued to dig tunnels WHICH ALLEGEDLY SWALLOWED THE GOLDEN CITY AND TURNED IT INTO A DUNGEON wait wasn't that the dark evil crazy magician's work (allegedly)? hmmmmm interesting

he also says that the surviving dwarfs are responsible for the dungeon's continued expansion

grumpy mcpants says (his name is Mr Tansu just in case you think I am using the dumb nickname bc I don't remember) that rumor can't be trusted

ok so he copied a magical circle, I'm guessing before they met Senshi & friends bc afterwards they just bailed right? and it's in elvish, the same individual as before

AHA so his theory is that the crazy evil magician is an elf and these magical circles are his work, interesting (he says the work is beyond the abilities of dwarfs and tall-men)

anyway, the western elves are sending letters now being like "the dungeon is ours we want it back" (well, our "heritage" is what they said, which is interesting bc weren't the king and Delgal tall-men?)

oh EVEN MORE INFO so they won the war with the dwarfs? bc they took the land from them and gave it to humans bc they apparently "didn't know what to do with it" (their king granted it himself even)

this evil magician, if it is an elf the only one I can think of is the crazy eyes elf from the living paintings, so I wonder if it has something to do with him

lordy mcislandpants doesn't want to give them back the island bc he wants the treasure that must still be in the depths of the dungeon lol

MAN we're getting so much lore and theories and everything now, the hamster in my brain is being pushed to his limits

grumpy mcpants says that the elves aren't after the treasure but the immortality spelll that's been cast on the dungeon (that does seem more valuable lol)

he tells mr lord to get his hands on the blueprint of the spell before they do and then he'll finally be treated as an equal, or even their superior

he says the lord of the dungeon possesses it (is that the evil magician or does he mean whoever "beats" the dungeon?), and tells him to keep supporting adventurers and not to cut down prices for hunting monsters etc

oh he'll issue a reward for taking down the orcs (that does not sound good)

ah yeahh I remember, Namari goes to the resurrection office and she asks about Falin (no luck of course)

on the 5th floor, outside the golden castle is the castle town (now abandoned and in ruins)

right, so Laios did mention that the red dragon is supposed to hunt once a month and then sleep until the next hunt but this red dragon has been active nonstop, even going as far as getting the orcs to flee their settlement which Marcille finds odd (but it's also no good for Falin bc she's getting digested faster)

there she goes again saying her protective magic isn't as powerful as Falin's. She was the best in school, right? It's making it seem like something either happened to her or the school didn't have any good students in it hahaha I mean, I don't really have anyone else to compare her to (besides Falin who is apparently better than her in everything magic related) so I can't tell if it's just normal for her not to be able to do this stuff or what.

ALSO not me just realising Falin is a tall-(wo)man and aren't tall-men supposed to be weaker in magic than elves by default? hm

listening to their plan of trapping the dragon now after I know what happens makes me think that they should have known this wouldn't work out. they're all humanfailures

Immortality Ramble

okay so Wukong is 8x immortal. here's how:

Patriarch Subodhi's training makes Wukong invulnerable to death by old age, lightning, and fire (as I understand it).

Crossing his name out of the Book of Life which "frees him from the jurisdiction of the underworld gods" (as put by Overly Sarcastic Productions), meaning they can't take him to the afterlife. So invulnerable to death as a being ig lol.

Eating the heavenly peaches of immortality. This tacks 3,000+ years on to his lifespan unless he ate the 3rd time of peach, where he'd be "eternal as heaven and earth, as long-lived as the sun and moon" (Wikipedia). So honestly this doesn't really matter if he was already ageless LMAO.

Drinking immortal wine. I can't find what it grants specifically but my guess is more years on his lifespan 💀

Eating immortality pills. Similarly to the wine, I assume this just adds more years.

Surviving Lao Tzu (or Laozi)'s furnace. This apparently "extracts yet more of the impurities of mortality and leaves him with another immortality" (Wikipedia). So I would say this means he's invulnerable to sickness and the like (bc "impurities of immortality"?).

Last but not least, the Ginseng or "man-fruit", which gives him 47,000 years.

So anyway. The reason I'm here.

In most fanfiction/art I've seen, Wukong convinces the others (namely MK) to become immortal via the peaches. But unless they eat the 3rd type, they're not timeless. So consider:

At 100, it's like you were 20 just yesterday. 300, 500? You blink and you miss a few decades. Maybe you forget to keep track of how long you have, now that you've lived a handful of centuries with more to come. Maybe you even forget that your time, though prolonged, is still limited at all. And since you're as handsome and spry as you were all those years ago, you have no reminder that time is steadily ticking on.

Until, of course, that time is up.

ok i know no one will really see this but i just had a dream and need to share.

so. i have a toddler cousin who loves trying new stuff and im always trying to make that happen, so apparently that includes dragon riding. my two year old cousin was hanging out with the httyd gang and rode MOTHER FUCKING TOOTHLESS. AND ALSO MEATLUG.

the gang was all talking about what they were gonna do when they had to pass their dragons down (bc dragons are apparently immortal + ig they just can't ride them forever or smth like they're too busy) but IT WAS SO CUTE like she was having a blast and they were all so sweet! and hiccup was talking to astrid about how toothless is too hard to clean and might not get proper care with someone else. also apparently when he wears the dragon mask (he had a new cool one that only covered his mouth ig) he can't breathe so he has to fire breathe. well he said "technically raptor breathe" when astrid asked so idk. the whole time the gang was on a little island discussing who would end up with their dragons, and the dragons were all making sure my cousin (the toddler) didn't get hurt

also there was a later scene where there's a group of kids (that look exactly like movie 1 gang) who keep trying to go ride dragons but get scolded bc they're too young. it was actually like really cool and stuff idk i wanted to share before i forgot

Not specifically funger OCs, but I do have a self insert character that I've put in the funger universe!

I welcome you to- uh. Right. *Turns to face her* You don't have a name. It's been what, fuckin' 3 years? You still haven't decided anything? Oh, now it's kinda maybe meaningful for your character to have no name? Poetic shit? Yeah sure. *Turns back to face you* So, no name. For our sakes, I'll call her Unnamed Girl(ie). UG for short.

She was a human that suddenly got snatched from Earth and put into a white void. And she was trapped there. With memories of nothing. Why she has no name. Well she has some vague memories of her previous life, like her being fatherless, she doesn't remember any names, faces. Just some interactions.

We dunno what the hell happened to Earth nor her, really, all we can assume is that there's probably some sadistic ass higher being that's putting her through that shit? Watching her suffer every moment here. But, we never got to know. They don't really matter to us really, they've never showed up. Not important.

In the white void, she also gained. Some sort of Godhood? She got powers of some sort. So that's one upside. Downside with this is that she's immortal. And as you see, a white void. Is well. A white void. Nothin in it. Sure, she's made a room for herself to get comfy but then you start to go insane with the fact that you're isolated and that there's no one to talk to and you have no purpose in life and that it feels like you were an unwanted part of the universe that wasn't meant to ever be existing but yet you still do, and then erm she can't take it anymore and tries to. Off herself. Multiple times, in fact!

Too bad for her, immortality exists. Or perhaps better called, eternal youth. She hasn't aged since she got here. Perpetually 12, what a hell to be in, huh buddy? Fucked up thing to add on, the way her immortality works is that she suffers the wounds, damage, pain, before her body starts to regrow it back. (Usually like a minute but if she pushes it, it can be instantaneous.)

After a few days in the white void she starts conjuring up friends in her head to try and combat the eternal loneliness. Barely works. She's got three guys in her head, that talk to her from time to time. They're pretty flat and 2D in personality, UG really isn't that much of a creative girl.

So, with these characters, let's show you how horrible she is at naming, hm? We got the furry one, Kats. Sadistic and mean one. Guy with the hat is Meowzerz. Cheerleader, also tries to advise UG to be kind. Gas masked fellow is Koolmeow. Wild card, she does whatever she finds fun. Mostly burning things up.

Really shitty names for those last two. No wonder she hasn't picked a name for herself if these are the names she gave these mfs.

Well, fuck. Friends aren't really friend-ing great unfortunately. What to do?

Oh, lookie that. That's a buncha.. games and anime. Huh. Well, might as well get through them. All this white is awfully boring.

So after some days of hell, she got to see stories she's vaguely familiar with. Must been stories she experienced back in her previous life. Entertainment is entertainment.

With nothing else in the void really, she gets heavily attached to these media. Filling her time with making fanart and obsessing over the characters. Three in particular she got attached to, but only one of them is of importance considering where we're headed to in this timeline.

Ahh the cat. The horrid horrid cat. I mean she's a young child, having a man tell him she loves her even when it's just a character written by someone else to be a creepy piece of shit is. Well a charming and interesting specimen such as him sharing affection? She can't help but reciprocate back.

With all the time in this non-existence, she makes a whole shrine of shit. Plushies, posters, figures. She loves recreating his likeness and having something physical to hold. Well, she is most well versed in digital art. That she does remember about herself. She was an artist. And most of him is drawn in a computer over and over again. She has no other way to show her love other than to put him in silly situations and emulate how he reacts. Yes I do mean fanfiction. She has a lotta files of just art of him she made, you don't wanna know how big it is.

Even besides him, she's pretty enamoured with this world of Funger. She'd much rather go through that hell than this hell. At least you can die there. And things actually happen.

Oh? We can finally go out? After all this time?

Ah, so much explaining her backstory and I haven't gotten to her personality! Well she's. Seriously mentally ill for one. Isolation for god knows how long and all that. I can only conclude Depression or some variation of it for now, though there is definitely another mental disorder at play here. Erm. We might never know. I don't think she'll ever go to therapy or a psychiatrist.

Due to her being in that void for so long, and with barely any memories, there's some things that she's real bad at. Of course, she retains her memory of how to walk, how to speak and communicate, and most basic human things.

However, this bitch cannot social interaction. How unfortunate, my friend.

She can be very blunt and clear with her words. Oh she also has this stupid thing where she's either really crass and informal or just talks fancy and with a thesaurus. Fucking weirdo. can't talk normal ever.

Next note, she has no respect for anyone. That's not to say she doesn't appreciate anyone's company, she definitely likes a good amount of people. Thing is, since she saw this all in a game she played and saw as fiction. Little dolls for her to play with. She never really got to get out of that thinking. Also that with her being some sorta higher being? Yeah, she thinks a little high of herself. Sometimes. Sometimes. (She also think she's the worst thing ever that existed lmao)

Adding on, she also possesses no self respect. No shame. No dignity. No regrets about anything ever. She just lives on. She's a very YOLO it is what it is kinda gal.

UG has a very normal perception of love. She thinks of violence as a sort of love language to her, she just wants to rip her beloveds to shreds. She also has an intense hatred for the cat, despite him being the one she loves most. The hatred plays along with her obsession of the cat. Also. Um. Yandere. yeah. She's obsessive. Isolation and all that. Makes you intensely crave affection and attention. And also being a child. Forever. Yeah she's quite an attention whore. (self label)

Other effects from the isolation also happen to be extreme boredom. She wants to do anything. In her life. And hey, she's got a lot if it to spare.. plany of time. It is mildly boring her that she knows she's most likely gonna win any battle with enemies but still, the experience of fighting is pretty banger. The adrenaline... Thrill seeking. Ahh... She loves fighting.

So um, with those last two paragraphs, she does normal things to both the party that dared step into the dungeon, and the termina contestants. She's normal about them. She is both heavily protective and extremely violent murder maim.

Ah, next thing! She's quite the contradictory thing. Mental disorder again, she can go from one extreme scale to another. Like her love and hatred, protecting her allies to killing them. High self confidence and self praise to self loathing. Sometimes a little bit of a hypocrite. She's weird.

Her morals are. Eh. Eh. Again, she both cares about everyone's lives yet is also apathetic. She doesn't mind murder too much, as she'll dirty her soul a lot through experiencing the funger universe. This. Image.

Everything might as well just be a game to her.

With all o' this. There's multiple timelines of her doing many different things because of how much she can vary and still be in character (well to me, at least). She can do so much. Silly girl.

That's all I can think of for now about personality! Little tidbits about her powers before onto the brief timeline. She has some future telling. If the future is far, she can see more possibilities it can go in, not giving an exact determined route of what will happen. If the future is soon, as in, will this guard swing at her right arm or her left arm in 5 seconds? She can check and the future will be certain, that it will be her left arm that will get cut if she doesn't prevent it.

Most of her powers stem from the other media she watched during the isolation period; she rarely uses the Gods' powers in funger purely to fuck around with it and also confuse smart asses. (enki)

After finding an escape from the white void, she wakes up in front of the.. dun dun dun... funger dungeons...

She does what any sane person would do and explores with glee.

They aren't really all that scary to a creature like her, only serving her to activate fight mode and get a rush.

She recruits everyone possible with her knowledge of these dungeons, and decides to change some things.

She approaches Pocketcat as she is done with her journey. There are no more battles to fight. No more exploration to be done in this dungeon. She is satisfied. The girl wishes for Pocketcat to eat her, since she hasn't tried that method of killing herself. (Also because she is crushing hard on this man and she knows he loves her too)

He instead gives a different proposal...

Remember how she's a sort of 'god' (but not in the funger way) and has OP ass powers? Well there's actually 2 drawbacks to them.

First one, it is quite exhausting. It is also exhausting just living and breathing in fact, but that's the mental disorders. She can go on long without rest but she will be extremely fatigued if she pushes. And my, she pushes a through a lot.

Second, there's one thing that nullifies her powers. Fear. But ah, with a soul like hers, it is quite difficult for her to fear anything. With problems in her way, she either brushes it over, gets enraged, or drowns in sorrow. How on earth could anything scare her?

Ahaha... Well a few actions made by a specific person could scare her...

(he soo gets off being the only one that can get her into such a submissive state, btw)

The one thing keeping her heart from total darkness, now entirely painted black. What a sad soul.

So, he didn't kill her. big whump. Fine though, she thinks about the termina festival in 350 years. She wouldn't mind living for that long to see more silly people. Plus, the dungeon took a lot out of her. A lot more magic she used than usual. This period will be... A nice and long break, she thinks positively. One hell she has endured in here, she will prepare to live through and enjoy another. Plus, if it's all adrenaline rushes, how is she meant to savour Termina?

She occupies her time by living with Pocketcat, and.. His usual activities. She joins in on his child murders from time to time. Not as fun as killing monsters that are fully intending to end her life but snuffing another life is still somewhat satisfying, nevertheless. And hey, fun bonding activity, right?

She also does the same as she did in the void, making a bunch of art and stuff. But this time, she actually has someone she can show it to! Speaking of the cat, they do typical lover activities time to time. Dates, and stuff. Doing things together. Fun!

Both of them had their fair share of isolation for a long period of time and needless to say, their 'eternities' are much more lively and worth living through with a like-minded being by their side.

She also.. has a little fun with the contestants before they enter the worst period of their life..

(This part is totally not because of recent events) After spending 350 years with Pocketcat, she picked up some of his mannerisms to her misfortune. Her hand feels like it should be doing something within conversation, so her subconscious makes her jack off a ghost dick. She's gonna have a fun time with talking to people.

Now we're at the festival, one meant to end all festivals! And boy it'll end more than just festivals, alright! Hehe.

At the end of this festival, she has one plan.

And that is to finally rest.

She will not be returning from this trip.

No. 2: take advantage of the poor

If I was her I'd set up numerous charities, get them in the good graces of the people (using some rich loser as the face of said charities) and then just as everyone in need is eating the food I provide and taking the shelter I offer? Grimm be upon ye. Grimm ichor in the food, Grimm crawling out the rafters. Aunt nelly is also a Grimm now cus it just sucks to suck.

No. 3: tell the story from my perspective to anyone who will listen. LOUDLY.

So like I want to talk about memories and afterlife and death and reincarnation and the universe and it's infinite possibilities ig, im bored and just rambling here

Tbh the first/earliest memory I ever remember is darkness and some voice and me being all confused, and I could hear some voices, and sometimes I think, hey, maybe this was when I was born or smth, or maybe while I was in the womb (which I know is impossible, but hey, it's a thought) but I like to think it's my last moments in my past life, I was really comfortable in the darkness really, I don't know why I still remember that memory though,

Some say it's heaven or hell, some say it's reincarnation, etc. etc. respect their beliefs of course

I like to think that the afterlife is what we want it to be or what we believe it to be,

Example, you believe in heaven or hell, you go there, etc.

I like to believe that once you die, you go to another world, another universe or so, whatever you want, like I like to think that once I die, I go to my OC's world, live their life, then die if they're not immortal, it's a calming thought really, cause now I know what happens after death

I like to think that if I was reincarnated, past me believed in reincarnation, and hey, here I am,

Anyways, so the universe is like, infinite with infinite possibilities, and like, that's really interesting, cause like, what if one day, the possibilities loop, it's infinite possibilities after all, so it's bound to happen

Like once in gone from this mortal realm, the same with you guys and maybe everything around here, there's a possibility that one day, the earth will reform again, and be the exact same, the same dinosaur will mate with the same dinosaur, your mother will meet your father and raise you, and you look no different, one day I will lie here in bed again and type these exact same words, on this exact same phone, maybe there will be a difference, maybe I'm wearing a blue shirt instead of red, maybe it's day instead of night, anything could happen, it could be the apocalypse and I'm just writing this on a piece of paper

It's really interesting to have the possibilities of the universe, cause maybe, there's a universe that's just the exact same, maybe there's a universe where it's the exact opposite, maybe there's one universe where the only difference is that people blink slower, and it's interesting that I'll probably never see them, maybe there's a me out here writing this as well at the same time as me,

Anywyas the egg theory is also very interesting, cause it implies that your everyone, and it's interesting cause if it's true, then one day, or maybe in the past, Im you, reading this text, made by me, I'm my mom and my dad,

SATBK NINJAGO AU NO ONE ASKED FOR

ahaha... satbk stands for sonic and the black knight btw it's a wii game and it has a whole grip on my brain so now i'm combining my two fixations bc i can..!

this will be a long post btw, designs n ideas are all mine and just an FYI.. It is heavily inspired by satbk but i will probably develop it as an au outside of the satbk story.. for my own entertainment idk. also idk much about the knights of the round table / king arthur story so don't expect anything related to them besides the names..? idk

anyways let's start!

Lloyd and Harumi (aka Sonic and Merlina)

Lloyd is a lost prince that gets summoned to this part of the world by Harumi who is a wizard and gets asked to help stop King Arthur (aka Garmadon) from being evil n wrecking shit ig.

Lloyd is chosen to help but he's not a knight! Harumi helps him find an ancient lost sword (aka Excalibur aka Morro in this au. hear me out. i'll explain it in more detail later.) and gets trained to become a knight with his now very annoying talking magic sword haha.

Also spoiler alert ig- Harumi is the real villain all along...! she manipulates lloyd into taking down Garmadon in order to get Excalibur's scabbard (which is in evil king arthur's possession which makes him evil + immortal) and wants to rule Camelot for herself to preserve the dying kingdom and thinks she'll be a better ruler to where Garmadon failed ig. still working out the motivations here.

Morro (aka Caliburn/Excalibur)

Morro in this au is Lloyd's talking sword. You don't see his ghost form.. at all..? i just mostly wanted to draw him in ghostly prince form lol. Basically he was the crown prince before Lloyd but then died a tragic death and became cursed to haunt a sword..? Yeah sure. So Lloyd picks him up and Morro talks and yeah they're travel buddies now.

Morro basically helps Lloyd become a better knight, but they still bicker and argue like siblings and it is funny.

Okay I'm gonna put a read more here now bc this is gettin long. The rest of the ninjas designs + stories are under the cut!

Knights of the Round Table

Kai (aka Lancelot)

Kai is Lancelot/Shadow in this au! He's the most loyal to KA / Garmadon in this au which is really funny lmao. As a knight Kai will follow any order given to him, he's one of the strongest knights in the realm and he's quite hotheaded to boot.

He encounters Lloyd first and they fight bc Lloyd is trying to stop Garmadon. Inexperienced as a fighter and a knight he doesn't exactly beat Kai but gets away after a technicality. Umm I like to think they meet a few more times over the course of Lloyd's journey, and maybe there's a part where Kai gets stuck with Lloyd and they have to work together.

Despite having differences of opinion on what it means to be a knight, Kai sort of sees Lloyd as a worthy rival... and lowkey younger brother!

Cole (aka Gawain)

Cole is the second knight Lloyd encounters and fights on his journey. After having more experience Lloyd does in fact beat him fair and square! But Cole as a knight takes chivalry and honor very seriously. After losing he feels so much shame but Lloyd snaps him out of it because there's more to being a knight than serving a king!

Zane (aka Percival)

The third knight of the round table that Lloyd encounters and also one of the toughest opponents Lloyd faces. Zane's fighting style is full of poise and grace and even though he doesn't appear to be as heavy hitting or brute forced as Kai or Cole he is most definitely strong! If not stronger for being able to conceal his power!

Lloyd is an experienced knight at this point, when he has Zane on the ropes part of the cliff they stand on falls off, nearly taking Zane with it. But Lloyd swoops in to save him like a true hero. After questioning Lloyd about why he saved him when he shouldn't have, Lloyd says it's because it's what he does! He saves people!

I wanna develop the knights more outside of the satbk encounters, so hehe. Keep ur eyes peeled for that!

Last but not least the other supportive characters in the story!

Jay (aka the Blacksmith)

yeah it would've been funny to make Kai the blacksmith but i think Jay works better here!

Jay is the town's local inventor / blacksmith and tthe best kind around! Lloyd goes to his shop to sharpen up Morro Sword and probably visits after every fight he has too lol. Jay doesn't mind at all and likes Lloyd's company! Especially because he will get any chance to show off his newest crazy invention for Lloyd!

Nya (aka Nimue Lady of the Lake)

Nya takes the place of Nimue who gives Lloyd three tests to become a true knight. I had to put her here because of water.. water symbolism n all that.

She's also very chill and hosts tea parties and invites Lloyd to celebrate after becoming a true knight! She's like an older sister to him too!

And.. yeah that's it i guess lol! I don't have more designs yet to show but I do have ideas and other stuff in mind! if u ever wanna ask about it my ask box is open! i wanna develop more of this funny little au haha

I pick out an extra box of pastries to bring back to the castle, loading up with enough baked goods to clear the case. Quentin handles the drink carriers and before we leave, my attention catches on Helena.

“By chance, do you know where Gleason went? Or, when Thatch will be back? I suppose he’d be the one to talk to about the apartments.”

“Oh? Gleason’s just outside, but Thatch is—” Helena’s iridescent eyes flash to Rhea snorting, then down to the dishwasher digging around in the pastry case, hood pulled down around their face as they struggle to pull out the empty trays. “Boss, really?”

The person stands and my heart palpitates in response to my magick’s upcoming symphony. Waves of tightly coiled copper flow from beneath his hood, covering one of his striking oceanic eyes. His mouth’s stuffed full of scone, and mocha icing dots his nose.

I bite my cheek in attempts to reel in my magick, a few heads turn in response to the mark on my face glowing brighter than a fucking neon sign.

Hello, witches. And no, it’s not him. He’s not my person, so stop looking between us with those smug grins.

“Oh, hello again,” he says over attempts to choke down his food. “You guys missed one.” He points to his reddened cheeks full of scone.

“Oh! You already know each other? Why were you hiding then, boss?” Helena asks, and the questions in Quentin’s eyes multiply. I rub the back of my neck in anticipation.

“No, he just—I just, we ran each other last night." Thatch gestures between us hastily with icing covered fingers, curls bouncing. His eyes linger on mine for a second, but he otherwise avoids looking directly at me. “I did not feel the need to bother you again.”

His gaze hardly falls on Quentin, but Quen can’t stop staring at the man with a smile brighter than the sun. Wait.

deathstar headcannons. now. (please)

F*ck if I know any, dude but here:

Blackstar is the morning person, Kid is the night owl

Blackstar has gay energy with several other boy characters. This isn't a headcanon; this is just fact.

Kid is gay and ace. And therefore my favorite interpretation of Deathstar is queerplatonic partners or just romantic (queerromantic?)

Blackstar achieves immortality by absorbing the power of an old god, so he and Kid have kind of like this "Adam and Eve from Only Lovers Left Alive" thing going on where they're both immortal and very secure in their relationship, but they can spend months or years apart from time to time just because they want to do different things at the same time and don't force the other into anything.

Blackstar got his growth spurt first and spent the following days trying to rile Kid up about it as a form of flirting, but Kid was so completely unbothered by it that it went the opposite way instead with Blackstar being pissed and Kid being flirty.

They go on their first non-sparring date after the battle on the moon (mangaverse).

This isn't Deathstar related, but I headcanon that Blackstar has like a 3rd-5th grade reading level (comfortable level, I mean), and he likes middle school fiction like Warrior Cats and Animorphs or something idk

When Kid learns of this, he tries buying Blackstar a bunch of books in an attempt to keep him quiet, but Blackstar won't stop exclaiming commentary while reading.

Kid asks about the books to be polite, but then gets surprisingly invested when Blackstar rambles about them at length.

They competitively duet during karaoke, and they sing mcr or something idk any alt rock bands

Favorite songs that I relate to Deathstar are "Tiny Star" by the Blasting Company, "Back to You" by WILD (especially during the Salvage arc), "The Reckoning" by Dom Fera, "Don't Fear the Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult, and "Infinite" from Sonic Forces.

It's cliche to think Kid would have nightmares about Blackstar dying, so I think it's the other way around. Blackstar has always seen Kid as something that can't die, but there are exceptions to Kid's indestructibility, so a nightmare would be a reasonable way Blackstar subconsciously processes that. (The dreams start after the final battle with Asura ig.)

During the crush phase, the pining is mutual, but Blackstar is suddenly afraid of confrontation because he doesn't want to lose what they already have, and Kid is oblivious because he's one of the biggest dunces alive (the other one being Blackstar).

The first time they go on a mission together, they go to Paris, and Blackstar acts like it's a date while they're dicking around waiting for the Kishin to show up (this happens in my fanfic)

Their warmest term of endearment is "hey you" because they can't stand anything more typical for a romantic-ish relationship.

When Tsubaki goes out of town for a weekend, she asks Kid to keep an eye on Blackstar, but Kid has no idea what human limitations actually ARE. It doesn't help that Blackstar’s actually not great at admitting his limitations. (Tsubaki gets home and Kid's like "I insisted he go to the infirmary for a stubbed toe." Then Tsubaki's like "What happened to his arm" and Kid goes, "He says it'll grow back.")

They go to prom together or something idk

Whenever Kid is frustrated and starts panicking over something that's tied to a tangible object, (like phone calls, paperwork, etc), Blackstar just. destroys it. Just chucks it out the window. He does it to give Kid a break and pull Kid's mind away from Panicking in favor of being Mad At and therefore paying attention to Blackstar. (Which gives Blackstar an opportunity to pull Kid's attention away from work entirely. Blackstar got this trick from Patty.)

Once they're dating, Blackstar’s method for helping Kid out of a panic attack is a lil different than Liz and Patty's. Where Liz and Patty would try smothering Kid or distracting him, Blackstar hears Kid out and usually says something well-meaning or indifferent until Kid stops on his own. And it *works* because Blackstar is less emotionally appeasing but completely genuine and he, in a weird way, *does* handle the source of the panic attacks. He's the "talk you down by poking holes in your logic or straight up what-iffing you through the worst case scenario" friend, even if it can lead to some rough moments in their relationship. After a while with this method, Kid's panic attacks start losing their bite.

After a couple decades/centuries, Blackstar wants either a pet or a kid, and Kid forces him to have a pet plant *first* to ensure that he won't kill it. If Blackstar has ADHD (and... I have significant thoughts on why he MIGHT), Blackstar wouldn't be invested in the plant and he would therefore be unable to keep up with it, and it would die, but he keeps bugging Kid and eventually Kid sees the issue isn't necessarily capability but interest, and they compromise by getting a surprisingly mesmerizing betta fish. Blackstar gets SO into keeping pretty fish that he ends up creating a fish paradise out of a pond in their backyard, complete with shade to keep the pond temperature low and fairy lights to keep the place lit at night. It's so aesthetic and stereotypically relaxing yet so *Blackstar* at the same time. Kid spends many evenings out in the koi pond space to read and unwind. It's kind of the first time they've created something of mutual interest together that isn't work related. It's their first big Nothing.

Do they say I love you to each other? I don't know. Seriously, I'm asking, because I have no fucking idea

So in my fanfic, Blackstar is acquainted with the stray cars because of the aforementioned Warrior Cats book series thing (^this headcanon is coutesy of askthesouleatercrew, big brained AMAZING se content creator, etc etc). So in my fanfic, Blackstar finds a litter of kittens abandoned and rescues them. His and Tsubaki's apartment doesn't take pets, and neither does Maka’s (Blair doesn't count), so Kid offers to take them. This is how they transition into a phase of Blackstar coming over after school every day to see his children. He brings kitten food and other pet supplies and calls it child support. Kid either doesn't get it or isn't amused.

Kid started getting closer with Blackstar than with Liz and Patty after the Salvage arc, which is ultimately healthier for him in the long run.

the Rammys of Hum, Dark Alley, AND 27 though

Don't even. The rammys of them playing all these songs.

Just the rammys of 27 feeling like a damn safety blanket are enough to send me, that it's become a song we're used to. A song from Folie about such a personal matter as feeling destined to die at 27. Because that's what you do when you're a doomed musician. (or actually otherwise, it is one of those milestone ages but i don't want to go over an analysis of why, it's way more complicated than just "glamorized by rock stars"). Doing lines of dust and sweat off last night stage just to feel like you is in some way where we're all at by replaying the videos and analyzing all these rammys and resharing all these things, but it's such a gentler version too, much as I'm enjoying the feeling of still being actively witnessing new tourdust angles and revisiting the highlights i remember.

But the actual rammys of that while humming the golden blues in a dark alley. That's why they play disloyal order bc somebody should restrain that man (patrick, needs to be restrained. not by the cops but by someone).

I don't want to go too in depth bc at this point we've mentioned and explored so much and more elegantly and specially tactfully than i'm finding the words now how they're playing songs that have been left in the vaults for being too raw, songs that are overtly about Pete's suicide attempt some being played by them all, others entrusted to patrick (bc i dont think dark alley was a unilateral patrick decision at least first time around). And the everything of Golden. How it ties to the feelings in pre-hiatus of superficially being golden plated but if you go a bit deeper being the monster people hope stays the fuck away and that their children don't become, versus their reality now being so far from that.

hitsukarin as my favourite xianxia otps for this upcoming halloween! xianxias are usually chinese dramas, about cultivation, immortals (demons and/or heavenly beings) and mortals, and three loves three lifetimes. they also tend to be long.

eternal love of dream. karin is the sole red nine-tailed fox is in the world. one day, karin is attacked by a savage beast, and ends up getting saved by the first emperor of heaven, hitsugaya toushirou. grateful, and feeling indebted, karin accompanies toushirou to vanquish the demon lord. as the two spend time together, karin realizes her gratitude towards toushirou has slowly evolved into love. unfortunately, toushirou has long forgotten what love is. although the coldest hearts can melt with time, will countless lifeimes be sufficient to bring these two hearts together?

love between fairy and demon. in order to obtain terrible power, hitsugaya toushirou became an emotionless monster. luckily, the god of war managed to seal him away before he could destroy the world. legend has it that if hitsuagaya toushirou were to escape, the world would be in danger once more, and only the goddess of xishan can prevent this catastrophe, but unfortunately, she's vanished without a trace. 30,000 years later, karin, a weak and low-ranking flower fairy, accidentally stumbles into the dimension where hitsugaya toushirou is trapped, and their encounter sets off a chain of events that threaten to change the fate of the world once again.

till the end of the moon. hitsugaya toushirou is the harbinger of doom and set on bringing the apocalypse. in order to prevent this, karin volunteers to travel back in time prevent toushirou from becoming the fearsome devil lord, back when he was just a mortal man. in the past, karin assumes a new identity, unbeknownst to her, the wife of hitsugaya toushirou, who is a captive and powerless prince of the country they're now in. determined to destroy him, all too aware that he will massacre many, karin tries to understand how he became the figure that she hates. but as she witnesses hitsugaya toushirou's past life and rise to power, another emotion within her begins to complicate her mission.

things of note/brief primer, ig:

3 loves 3 lifetimes explanation. Immortal beings tend to go through trials -- becoming reincarnated as a mortal, live, love, die and become more powerful when they reawaken as an immortal. So life 1 and 3, they tend to be the same person, but some xianxias play around with who is going through the trial in the mortal realm, it doesn't always have to be the mains! Dreams arcs can count as this, TBH. Sometimes more than one trial is necessary, tho.

characters tend to be be dubbed. ML of LBFAD is def. dubbed, FL dubs her own voice. I'm fairly certain ELOD and LAR leads are dubbed, but I haven't confirmed it. TTEOTM, FL and ML are using their own voices. I'd say give the shows you're interested in a couple of eps before you decide continuing/dropping it, FL voices of LBFAD and LAR and ELOD are pretty high pitched, so they might need some time to get used to. Modern day cdramas don't tend to be dubbed, but might if the actor's natural accent is too strong? Whereas as xianxias get dubbed to suit the character more.

I guess these are variations on a theme. There's certain recurring tropes, and not all xianxias focus on lacking senses, but unfortunately, my faves do. They're handled extremely different though!

ELOD works as a standalone, but it does include some references to it's parent story Eternal Love/Ten Miles of Peach Blossom. Here's the thing, the main couple of ELOD are the b-couple of TMOPB, but everything that happens to them in TMOPB doesn't impact ELOD in the slightest, it was just made up content because the the producers didn't have the rights to the book. I don't really like TMOPB's main couple, but I was charmed by the b-couple, even if they get a bittersweet ending in TMOPB. They're characterized slightly differently in ELOD. Same actors tho! Which is nice!

(LBFAD, LAR and TTEOTM are standalone tho.)

They're all based on books! I'm sure you can look them up online, if you want to check them out, though I haven't read them myself. I've heard they do change a lot, though. LBFAD does have a cartoon -- though chinese animation is called donghua -- which apparently is closer to the book. It's still v. cute.

TTEOTM leads have worked previously in a modern day romcom called Love Is Sweet, and they're super cute in it.

TTEOTM is unfortunately truncated. It was supposed to be 60ish episodes, but got cut down to 40 instead. It still works and is cohesive enough, but man, I am sad that there's cut content because I love them most.

LAR relies a lot on misunderstandings, but the charm of the lead couple, who are very soft for each other, will hopefully carry you through it. The worst one is the misunderstood love triangle, IMO? But it's dealt with pretty quickly, considering that this show is pretty long! (Might be a matter of perspective, tho, bc at the time it's a bit of a drag, but I think it's 3-4 episodes long, and it happens early on.) But I was okay with the rest of the misunderstandings, they don't feel as painful? I mean, it's fine, and it suits the characters, but, a little irritating. Angst and the ML suffering to an art form is pretty strong in this one.

LBFAD uses a bit of cgi accessories? IMO they look awful, but they don't get used that much. Nevertheless, whenever SML and the villain wore them, they looked terrible.

Bad wigs are a given. Just a head's up.

There's a lot of bloody mouths/spitting blood in all of them? I think LAR and TTEOTM are the ones where it happens the most, but it is just a recurring trope in xianxias.

I think all can be found on YT, and I wouldn't advise watching them on Netflix/Prime just becomes they don't give out occasional contextual notes. Personal choice, tho, you can look them up on MyDramaList on where else to watch them.

I think it'd be incredible if the Talamasca show was focused on Jesse (or at least had her as a regular character), and as the seasons went by both IWTV and it would get into the events of Queen of the Damned and naturally cross-over.

They've talked about how they want to keep Loustat at focus on IWTV, so it'd make sense to do other shows in the same universe focused on other characters. In fact I was thinking maybe Night Island would be a future Armand spin-off and I'm a bit disappointed that it's not...

The Queen of the Damned is probably a very hard book to adapt and building a "shared universe" where the episodes of different shows can be parts/tie-ins of an overarching plot they share would be a great way to do it without shafting almost everything about it.

Like they've been marketing this ~immortal universe~ thing, but afaik the shows as they are now feel completely unrelated. This could be a way to actually deliver on that whole thing. Even in a seemingly unrelated first few seasons, just seeing characters like Jesse and David (maybe even Maharet) would make the show actually feel like a IWTV spin-off, since we "know" these characters should eventually be on the show (well, theoretically that would be the case for Rowan and IG other MW characters too, but I haven't read the books where that happens and from what I've heard they might not even want to really adapt them at all? lol).

I said when I had read QOTD that from Jesse's chapter she could be like the protagonist of her own YA series and it'd be crazy for that to actually come true in a way.

Knight what if we made an AU where Hilda, Hilbert, and Iris are the human forms/hosts of Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem

Like the three dragons are definitely weaker then how they were when they’re were the Original Dragon. But like what if being split apart made them to weak? Cause I’m sure if energy for one body got split apart for three different bodies then it wouldn’t be enough to support it for long

So imagine sometime after the war with the two brothers, instead of turning into the stones to regain their energy and heal up, they instead find a host to take over so they can stay awake and heal at the same time

I can’t think of a logical reason for Kyurem to find a host as well. Just didn’t want to be left out ig

But idk if the three dragons would switch hosts every few decades when their host is getting older and they can’t survive of the low energy anymore, or if the three dragons asked a favour from Arceus and practically made the twins and Iris almost immortal

Like the three of them still age, just verrrry slowly. I imagine they became hosts at age 10 and 14 but in present time they’re teenagers/young adults. Or if we go with the first option, Iris, Hilda, and Hilbert just happen to be the newest hosts the three dragons have chosen for the next few decades

I don’t think it’s painful or energy draining for the host, it’s more like they share their energy together so they both benefit from it. Like the dragons get to live and heal, and the host gets cool side effects cause they’re technically part dragon and fire/elec/ice type now

But anyways, what do you think? Pick whichever one you think makes more sense or you like more

Actually one more thing, if we’re going with the three of them being the original hosts. You know how old people will tell younger people “you have it easier than I did when I was your age” Iris can technically hold that over Draydens head causes she’s probably 300+ years older than him lmao

Pfft tenfold for Iris fucking imagine bc Kyurem's like, the most empty between the trio, some of his features are also seen on Iris, as if they're really becoming a singular person rather than just Kyurem living within Iris' body. Like imagine some of his scales on her shoulders and her arms, sometimes her eyes turn gold, her nails become sharp like claws now, even her teeth are sharp, her voice would sometimes sound so raspy, as if she was left in the cold for so so long, and she's trying to hide it from everyone else. And Kyurem wasn't nice either, he still wanted power, wanted to find Zekrom or Reshiram to take their own power again, to become the Original Dragon once more

And like yeah, they get cool powers and such, but y'know, they probs don't know how to control it, they probably hurt someone on accident and they have to live w the fact that they probs almost killed someone too. Also it'd be cool if they also had the memories of the dragons hahah like imagine also having to live with the fact that they know what happened in the past, all the destruction, the deaths, everything. What is the au about?

The au is STILL around Bella Swan moving to Forks with her dad but it's not a love story between Edward or Jacob. She gets with Tyler Crowley.

What's different?

Everything.

Cullen's aren't siblings.

Jacob isn't a big dog.

They're in college.

There's more than vampires and wolves because that's BORING!!!! (Tyler is a Gargoyle!!! But they're a bunch of forest critters and all that.)

because Bella doesn't get with Edward almost immediately, the newborn army is because James died and Victoria mourns horribly. Laurent doesn't go after Bella for this reason, and is alive.

Bree (that sad, scared newborn Riley turned) lives and is Edwards adoptive sibling who is hidden with Carlisle and Esme. Because I said so. Jane doesn't need her dead tbh.

Aro's ending fight happens, but not because of an immortal child (bc Bella doesn't get preggos), still figuring out what happens tho.
