Guess what! My sister's girlfriend (@scarlettshazam here and over on Instagram) has another book up for pre-order right now, coming out on August 20th of this year.

Callum Chessman has finally, finally reached his last year at Wildbrush Academy for Strange People. Between telekinesis, bipolar disorder, and being hopelessly in love with his best friend Nick, he has a lot on his plate. Being a Chessman sibling means one thing: you're very good at your Strange Behavior. Three out of four of the Chessman siblings are Strange...or so they thought. Callum's little sister Andy manifests a Strange Behavior at an unheard of sixteen, making that three Strange siblings into four. And Andy doesn't simply manifest any Strange Behavior -- hers is an Anomalous Strange Behavior, a Behavior that defies known capabilities. Then, as soon as Andy arrives at Wildbrush, students with Anomalous Strange Behaviors begin to go missing. Through a nationwide network of kids with a grasp on their mental health as tenuous as Callum's, he soon discovers that Anomalous kids haven't just been going missing from Wildbrush. They've been going missing from every Strange school in the United States. Callum has never been good at staying in his lane. He will find out what is happening to his friends. There's only one thing to keep in mind: Don't let them catch you.

I also have to share that she's made a bunch of cool stuff for this one with the logos and mottos of all the Strange schools across the US in her book. I'm particularly fond of the Great Lakes one for obvious reasons, as well as the one for the school the main characters go to in Colorado.

in the face of madness, i curl up: seed pod boy, nesting dog;

sickness swirls around me like a torrent. i want to take a match to

behind his tick. the sprouts begin to show.

Thank you so much for the tip! I will say the absolute best clothes I’ve gotten have been from small sellers on Etsy (I have an amazing Great white shark anatomy crop top from there) and I’m super excited to find more independent artists! I will definitely be checking these recommendations out

Iv seen the photos and videos and it’s like a something out of a horror movie. Have you heard ak is filming again? And have you seen that joe is cycling across the uk for charity? Xx

The twisting took 2 days. My writs were in so much pain. They came out pretty good for my first solo attempt. Cant wait to keep getting more practice in though.

Nugget, the wildfires are a huge pain in the ass. I grew up here and Im in my 30’s and there has been a wildbrush fire every. Single. Year. Sometimes it rains ash it gets so bad. Luckily im in a more metropolitan area so there isnt a lof of land to catch fire. But in thr Valley about 20 minutes from me it gets worse and worse. Today even though the fires arent close, I couldnt take my students outside because it was too smoky and the sky has this creepy orange glow to it. Im sure anyone with Asthma is hella pissed off. Especially since, one of the fires started because of a gender reveal party.

I did not see that Animanl Kingdom is filming but thata really exciting. I wanna see what happens to the crew especially with no Smurf. J is full on evil and I fucking live for it. Pope my sweet angel Pope deserves the world.

And, hell yeah I seen Joe’s insta. I bet his ass is gonna so hard from all that bike riding.(I know its for charity but Im hella thirsty)

Though Common Strange Behavior takes place at Wildbrush Academy for Strange People, it’s actually only one school of thirteen in the United States. Each of these schools teaches superpowered kids from ages 12-18. All of them can teach students with any Strange Behavior, but many schools specialize in certain areas and attract school of choice students.

Wildbrush Academy for Strange People, for example, exists on a mountain in Colorado. Many terrakinetic American kids choose to attend Wildbrush for its terrakinesis expertise.

Meanwhile, Fossilwaters Academy for Strange People, located along the coast in California, specializes in aquakinesis, while Heartland Home for Strange People, the school serving primarily the midwest, is known for accepting the most students with Dangerous Behaviors.

Every single one of these schools gets to come into play in the book, through the main character's nationwide network of kids he met during a stint in the mental hospital.

I intend to build more schools in other parts of the world, but I also want to be able to collaborate with people who are actually from those places so that they can be authentic to their home countries.
