STRIPPER SAMU ELABORATE THIS INSTANT
he's stripping to fund his entrepreneurial dreams! dances like he's got something to prove! he goes to the gym only so he can eat what he wants and has a slight social media presence. just a couple k of followers who avidly watch him cook with just an apron and no shirt. whenever makki thinks of a prank, samu is the first person he runs to because he knows he's down as fuck. one time they filmed a mukbang together for samu's ig live. makki, mattsun, and him play volleyball whenever their days off match up.
and his favorite pastime is annoying my reader because she's so easy to peeve and because he's bored and atsumu's not around for him to poke fun of.

— VILLAINFUCKERS.COM
“ but is it possible, the villain would treat you better than the prince ever would? ”
[💀] — in celebration of me hitting 6k followers, i decided to host my very first writing collab event. i took in deep thought of what did i want the theme to be. i had a vampire event idea, and threw it in the trash. sports anime idea? knew everyone would sign up for hq due to it being the most popular...threw that in the trash too! with the increase of hot villains, i thought...why not create an event writing about the bad guys. so here i am. just want to thank everyone for helping me get to this milestone. my blog anniversary is coming up and i’m just happy to have meet so many wonderful people and write so many wonderful things that people enjoy. i'm super excited to see everybody entry and such.
Tumblr media
rules.
[💀] — must be 18+ to participate. i will be checking pinned post & bios to confirm participants' ages. [💀] — due to this collab event most likely including dark content, smut, and other mature content, be sure to state all the warnings in whatever you're writing. [💀] — this is a villain-themed collab event. meaning that this event is strictly for the villains. no villain!character! none of that! strictly for the bad guys ! [💀] — all fandoms are allowed, i am encouraging everyone to venture out of the usual villains that we know. hence the fact that i didn't categorize the masterlist below. [💀] — villain repeats are allowed but are limited to three repeats. [💀] — there is no word count requirement, but be mindful that if your fic is over 400 words to add a read more option. [💀] — after joining, please reblog the post after i have added you to the masterlist. it helps the collab event get around the animanga writing community on here. [💀] — after completing your fic, don't forget to tag me in the fic or private message me the link so i can add the link to the masterlist. also, use the tag villainfuckers.com collab in your first ten tags, so it'll be easier for readers to find your work also if they're interested in reading it. [💀] — last day to join this event is august 12th & it’s no deadline for this event. i decided to change it due to myself also being busy. [💀] — this event is currently closed.
Tumblr media
how to enter.
[💀] — just shoot me a message in my ask box stating the villain or villains (plus anime/manga they're from) you would like to write for. if available, you can also include the title, trope, warnings, etc. if you're feeling creative, i would love if you guys sent me who you'll be writing similar to my example below (as if it’s a headline for an actual article), but it is okay if you don't though. do not send your message anonymously, so it'll be much easier to track the usage of one character.

a/n: when i first chartered my list of fics i was going to write for tumblr, i had a fleeting idea for this song along with iwa, and when the collab came into existence, i knew what i had to do: bring the idea to fruition. taylor swift's one of my favs (y'all know this lol), so it's no surprise that my writing's based on one of her songs. plus, I thought of creating a moodboard instead of the usual banner. also, this is based on a two-year relationship i'd had with my ex in uni before i left for the states and he decided to stay in india and prepare for civil services exam. as always, likes, reblogs, and comments, especially reblogs are appreciated.
Tumblr media
It had been a cold, chilly winter in Miyagi. The temperatures were almost unbearable. Taking a deep breath, you rubbed both of your mitten-covered hands together while blowing a warm breath in between them. While listening to calming music with your hands in your pockets, you walked along the sidewalk enjoying the snow. Suddenly, you paused along the tracks and took out your earphones, when you recognized a familiar face. One that you know all too well. While his familiar dark brown spiky hair was covered by a dark green beanie with dinosaurs on it, your gaze caught the man's olive-green irises. You took a step back in surprise, your breath caught in your throat, placing one hand on your chest as you realized who it was.
A soft smile spread across his face as he walked toward you. At that moment, you closed your eyes and took deep breaths as you tried to conceal your flushed cheeks, with all the memories you two shared flashing through your mind. From making fun of his best friend, Tooru Oikawa, to pranking the pranksters of Aoba Johsai, Matsukawa and Hanamaki, to going out on different dates: for coffee, for movies, for volleyball matches, for karaoke. The way you used to text each other, passing around secret notes, exchanging love letters, having clandestine encounters in the corridors, everything. He was your first kiss, your first love, and the one to whom you chose to lose your virginity, and as they say, “you never forget your first love.” You also felt a tug on your chest as you remembered the day you broke up with him.
You had seen many long-distance relationships break, and while you were amazed at how your parents could manage when they were apart for so long, with your father being in the merchant navy, nevertheless, you were scared that you would end up in the same situation. As a result, you dropped the bomb on Hajime Iwaizumi and told him why you had to end the relationship when he revealed that he was moving to the United States to study sports sciences and eventually work for a person he looked up to, Utsui Takashi. The truth is, you loved him too much to let him go. You loved the way he stood by your side whenever things weren’t going so well. You loved being engulfed in his embraces, and more so, you loved being lost in his kisses, every touch of his sending shivers down your spine. You knew he always treated you right; you especially experienced it, but you were afraid your relationship wouldn’t stand the test of time. In addition, he could see there was something wrong with you from miles away, but he never knew what it was until you revealed it to him.
When he heard what you felt, he was very upfront with you, albeit his gaze at you was laced with melancholy. “You know, baby,” he responded, with his shoulders drooping, “I’m actually hurt that you would think that our relationship would fade away as we meet different people, because trust me, what you and I have, I don’t think I can ever have that with anyone. However,” he reached out for both of your hands and held them, saying, “I’ll always be grateful for the memories we had together. I strongly believe that we’ll still find a way to each other, no matter what.” He then cupped your cheeks and planted a farewell kiss before leaving your house, concluding, “That’s because it’s always been you, my love. Always and forever.”
Tumblr media
As you opened your eyes, you noticed him standing in front of you. He always had a great sense of fashion, wearing a pair of dark blue jeans with an oversized dark blue denim jacket over a grey hoodie. He was known to make things look good on him. He smiled at you, ever so softly, with his gaze never leaving yours. Unbeknownst to you, a warm smile crept upon your face, as you muttered your first word to him in years: “hey.” He also replied with a single word: “hey,” as you two stopped talking for a while, oddly finding comfort in the silence you two were sharing. You tilted your head and asked him, “It’s been a hot minute, Iwaizumi. When did you come back?” He let out a small chuckle, responding, “You know that you can still call me Hajime, right? I came back a couple of days ago for the holidays. I’ll be here until the second week of January.” Nodding, you weren’t sure as to how you could continue the conversation until an idea popped up in your head. “So, um,” you hesitated, before continuing, “Let’s walk together, to Sakanoshita and get some pork buns. What do you think?” He grinned at you, responding, “I thought you’d never ask.”
The walk to the store was not a silent one; instead, you two handled small talk well. You learned that Hajime was about to complete his senior year in undergrad in sports sciences and will be interning under Utsui Takashi, his role model, after college. He then reveals that Takashi turned out to be the father of his and Tooru Oikawa’s high school nemesis: Wakatoshi Ushijima. You both shared a light-hearted chuckle as he continued, saying that after the internship was over, he intended to work as a full-time athletic trainer and that he was attempting to become the trainer for the Japan National Volleyball Team for the upcoming Tokyo Olympics. For some reason, this gave you a glimmer of hope.
As you two bought a couple of pork buns from Keishin, nodding at both of you before leaving the store, he was about to ask you whether you were currently seeing anybody when you interrupted him by telling him that you were pursuing your final year in your college studies in Tokyo with Tetsuro Kuroo, an alumnus of Nekoma High School, and you were set to work alongside him in the Japanese Volleyball Association. While his enthusiasm seemed to have died a little bit, thinking that you were probably seeing the former Nekoma captain, you then cleared your throat and confessed to him, something that he found oddly assuring.
“I don’t know where you stand, relationship-wise, but you were right, Hajime. I dated other guys, not Kuroo, because I told him about you, and we just became friends, but I dated other guys, and they weren’t you. They could never be you.”
Tumblr media
As he held your hands in silence, a single tear drop streamed down his cold cheeks as he smiled in response to your confession. While you were confused as to what that meant, he asked you in a soft voice, “Do you still stay with your parents, or did you get an apartment of your own?” With a tint of blush hitting your cheeks, you nodded, replying, “I do stay on my own in Tokyo, but here I stay with my parents. However, they’ve gone to Bangkok to visit my relatives, and I told them that I'd be joining them soon, so until then, I live alone. Did you want to come over and spend some time?” He shook his head in denial, replying, “Not until you truly are ready to be with me again.”
Furrowing your eyebrows at him, he continued, “If I do end up coming over, the good memories will return, and I'll want you to commit to me. There’s no middle ground anymore, (y/n). It’s either we get back together, or we stay as acquaintances.” You were taken aback at his confidence. For a moment, you pondered and realized that he had never stopped having feelings for you. Respecting his opinion, you nodded, and suddenly, an idea popped into your head. “So,” you said, “I’ll not be here for long. Maybe a week or so. Until then, would it be okay if we hung out at your place with Mattsun and Makki, and during that time, we can see whether the feelings still exist, and we can, um, give it a go.” Smiling, he nodded in agreement. “Alright, seems fair. We can do that.”
He then called Mattsun and Makki and urged them to come to his house with a couple of board games and to set up video cameras to surprise someone that was coming home after a while. As you two ate your now lukewarm pork buns while walking to Hajime’s house, you started talking about the crazy moments that happened to the both of you while you were away working on your goals. Upon reaching the house, your memories come back as to how you met him in the first place. You then opened the door to find the boys shocked that you had come back, and as you looked at the video camera to their right that caught their expressions, you and Hajime laughed at them, much to their chagrin.
As the days went by, you four hung out often at Hajime’s house, playing different kinds of board games, exercising, watching movies, and catching up with each other. You would even video call Oikawa to surprise him, and he’d whine with a pouty face, “Why am I not there now?” to which you’d reply, “because someone chose to fly to exotic places over us,” with the rest of you cackling and laughing at the milkbread-loving setter. What was seemingly oblivious to Mattsun and Makki was that there were stolen glances exchanged between the both of you, you found your hands brushing against each other often, and you would mistake other people’s names for each other. One day, someone had dropped cutlery, and while you’d kneeled to pick some spoons and forks up, you noticed Iwaizumi kneeling to pick up the same, causing your faces to be a couple of centimeters apart, and as you two realized that the tension between you was so strong that you could use a knife to cut through it, you gulped a little bit of air down your throat.
Tumblr media
The day before you were about to leave for Bangkok, you called him and started cajoling him, “Hajime, I need to talk to you. Would you be able to come over, please?” Exhaling a deep breath, he replied, “Okay, fine. I’m on my way.” You were pacing around the living room for fifteen minutes, confused as to why you were feeling this way until the doorbell rang and you rushed to open the door. When you unlocked the door, Hajime was standing on the front porch, shivering. His hands were in the muff of the dark blue hoodie, with his hood down so that you could see him clearly. His hair was disheveled as if he had run his hands through it one too many times. You let him in, a panting mess, looking as if he had just been jogging in the chilly weather. As you two sat on the warm couch near the fireplace, you knelt down.
This time you were the one holding his hands, causing him to widen his eyes. “Hajime, when I told you that all those people that I dated could never be you, I meant it. Sure, I was commitment-phobic as hell, and you know that, and I was scared that that would disturb our relationship should we go long-distance, because I’d be doubting you constantly, be jealous, and have all kinds of negativity in my head, but the truth is, I love you, Hajime. I always have, and I want you to be my boyfriend, and me to be your partner. I want to go ahead and fully commit myself to you, come what may. Always and forever, right?”
Smiling at you, he then cupped your cheeks, brought your face forward, and kissed you on your lips. No sooner did that happen than you enveloped yourselves in a deep kiss, eventually causing the two of you to peel the clothes off each other’s bodies. Every touch, every kiss, every action had the power to convey how much you still loved each other at this very moment more than words ever could.
An hour had passed since you two made love after four years, and you had wrapped yourselves in a blanket, sipping on some hot chocolate in front of the fireplace, nuzzling against each other. Suddenly, either one of the phones buzzes as Hajime kisses your forehead as he goes to the strewn pile of clothes and not only gets out his phone, which just had his alarm ringing, but also a small box. As you narrowed your vision to the small box, a number of thoughts spawned in your head. “Wait, is he asking me to marry him already?” You think to yourself. “Isn’t that too soon?” However, as Hajime brings the box to you and opens it, it didn’t seem like an expensive diamond ring, but it was one of those even more expensive platinum bands that must have been bought from a jeweler’s shop.
He then tells you, “(y/n), I’ve been aware of your fear of commitment ever since your cousin had a messy divorce, and your best friend’s eleven-year old relationship ended. When you broke up with me, while I was sad and heartbroken and you were citing your inability to commit, I imagined something: that years later, you'd tell me that you wanted to commit to me, and whenever you did so, I’d give you this ring. It’s not an engagement ring, it’s a promise ring. With this, baby,” He slides the ring onto your left ring finger and says, “I promise to love you and cherish you whenever you’re ready to take the next steps in the relationship, and I promise to walk alongside you, because baby,” he then holds both of your hands while saying, "There wasn’t anyone else in my life that I dated other than you, especially when I went to the States because I couldn't imagine anyone else but you by my side. It was always you, (y/n). Always and forever.”
Tears streamed down your cheeks as your gaze met with his. You then cupped his cheeks and kissed him on the lips, with both of your “I love you”s reverberating throughout the whole house. The next day, the quarter of the Seijoh 4 helped you pack your bags, and Hajime drove you to the airport. As he stopped in front of the airport, he saw you twiddling your thumbs while subconsciously biting your lower lip. He took one hand and intertwined his fingers with yours as you turned in his direction. He smiled at you, saying, “I promise you, love, this is not the end of us. In fact, it’s just the beginning.” Both of you were then engulfed in a warm embrace for what felt like an eternity. As you got out of the car and got your belongings, you then gave Hajime a kiss before leaving for Bangkok. If you learned anything from this trip, it was that ‘tis the damn season’s fault for bringing you two back together, because that kiss wouldn’t certainly be the last.

your unfinished business. | Semi Eita x gn! reader
warnings: childhood friends → strangers → lovers
w/c: 3.8k
a/n: this is my submission for @woahsamu’s “it’s always been you” collab! this is also my first haikyuu! piece so a billion thank you’s to my beta readers and helpers. @shinigamiplayroom @kazububs @mrskenmakozume @arlertslove 🫶
Tumblr media
Another warm summer had come and gone, as quickly as the days changed. A new school year with different kids and Semi had just moved into a new house with new neighbors. He wasn’t sure if he would fit in or how to even make friends. Maybe he could survive the first grade by himself, he thought. Until his parents took him next door to say hello to the neighbors with a fresh baked pie. Apple and cinnamon spice seeped through the golden, flaky crust, perfectly thumb-printed along the edges of the pie dish. A soft chime of the doorbell sounded into the otherwise calm atmosphere when two adults opened the door to say hello. And there you were. Small bare feet padding along the tiled floor as you flew a toy plane at arm's length, your lips vibrating in engine-like sounds. That was the first day he met you, and the two of you were inseparable from then on.
The first day of school came faster than he wanted. The two of you sat in the breakfast nook of your kitchen. Cold glasses of milk left condensation rings on the round table. Crumbs from the toast you ate littered the floor around the white folding chairs. Ziploc bags of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches were squashed under the room temperature water bottles in your school book bags. Time ticked on and you ran, hand in hand, to the street corner towards the transportation stop. The humid August weather was in full effect as you rode the bus to school- you and your best friend, Semi Eita. The most important person in your life.
“Hey, y/n?” - Semi looked at you with hopeful eyes- “Do you think we'll always be friends?”
“Of course, Sem-Sem! Even when we're old and have to do adult things, like taxes.” You grinned at him, showing off the empty spaces left behind by the two front teeth you had recently lost.
You scooted closer to him on the tattered bus bench seat and held out your right pinky finger. “I promise. You gotta hold my pinky with your pinky now. That means a forever promise.”
Semi looked down at your small fingers and then back at your smiling face. It held a glint of childhood seriousness and curiosity. Your eyes softly sparkled in the ray of sunshine that beamed through the half opened window. He gave you a small, sweet smile- just enough to curve the bow in his lips and took your pinky into his. You stayed there for a while, holding small fingers until the bus jolted to a stop, sending you both face first into the back of the seat in front of you. You giggled as you got off at the stop to your school. Walking in close enough proximity that you could smell the grape jelly still emanating through his warm breaths.
He sat with you on the old broken wooden bench outside by the playground at lunch time in grade school, stood up to the kids who teased you and made you feel less than you were and always split his cookie with you (except when he had oatmeal raisin because he knew you didn’t like them). You grew up together, you never imagined a moment without him or what your life would be like if you’d never met him. He was always there- next to you like your shadow when the sun hit the highest point in the sky. But Semi stood out more than you, like he was the color of the petals on a newly sprouted flower and you were just the ordinary green stem. He was smart, funny, cute and was always involved in something.
Through the years, he continued to be your only one. Grade school became fond memories into middle school, and middle school problems became the jokes of high school. Then, he joined the volleyball team. He got busier and busier as the months went by. Practices, games, traveling to matches. The two of you started to grow apart- he stopped coming by, stopped walking you home, eventually, stopped returning your phone calls and text messages.
It hurt. To lose the person you thought you’d always have. You decided you needed a fresh start- you couldn’t just be seen as ‘Semi’s shadow’ anymore. You reinvented yourself through the time apart. Switching high schools, going by a different nickname, changing your wardrobe, and becoming more involved in school activities. You graduated top of your class: valedictorian, and class president. You started the club for sustainability, which ended up having a pretty large following. You were a part of school humanitarian efforts, and competed in scholastic events. The only person you thought about during your graduation speech was your childhood friend, and even thanked him, though you couldn't bare the pain of saying his name. You got scholarships and were accepted into a great college for Environmental Studies. As time went on, you started to forget about him- packed away all the photographs, notes that were passed in math class, and things that made you think of him. There was something about those childhood mornings that just captivated you. You didn’t know it then, but everything felt so right. The universe was telling you this was the way it was supposed to be- but what did you know, you were just a kid. That’s all they were now- just memories.
You made new friends and life went on.
-----------------------------
“Come on, it’ll be so much fun! Just come to the concert with us!” Your best friend Kiyoko Shimizu spoke through the phone’s speaker. You could hear Koshi Sugawara’s voice in the background. It was an unlikely friendship but they turned into your found family during your second year at college.
“I don’t know Kiki, I’m pretty busy with club meetings and we both have finals to study for.” You sat up on your dorm bed, slinging your legs over the side as you held your cell to your ear with your shoulder.
“We both know the material. You act as if you won’t pass with the highest grade y/n. I won the tickets and even Ko wants you to join us!” You could tell she was starting to get annoyed with attempting to convince you.
She was right, however. You, her, and Ko all studied together on Thursday nights. It was a routine. You’d get take out, study (whether you needed to or not), and end up gossiping about the latest college drama. The football players cheating on their girlfriends, the chess club president finally touching a boob, or whatever story made its way through the halls. You always aced your tests because you were diligent with learning to understand the material and you had club meetings every Monday-Wednesday. Maybe you deserve a break, after all.
“Hello? You know I’d love it if you accompanied us, but don’t feel pressured to do so.” Koshi’s delicate voice sounded as if a whisper through the phone.
“You know what, I should go. I deserve a break anyway. Who did you say - ?”
“YAY!” Kiyoko screeched in excitement before you could even finish your sentence. “Oh, I don’t remember and I don’t care. The tickets were free! So let’s just enjoy ourselves.”
You smiled as you said your goodbyes and ended the phone call. The concert was tomorrow night so you had time to do some studying, choose an interim leader for two of the club meetings you’ll be missing, and time to go shopping for a new outfit. What a perfect way to end the semester- a fun, memorable night with your two closest friends. What you didn’t know was how memorable it would be.
-------------------
The car ride to the concert venue was filled with laughter, yelling your favorite songs at the top of your lungs off key and almost spilling your soda from your fast food stop earlier, in your lap after a hard press to the brakes. The building was bigger than you thought for a local artist- maybe they were more known then Kiyoko thought. Suga parked the car and the three of you walked towards the doors.
Once inside, you followed the direction of the crowds. The usher at the ropes scanned your tickets, and handed you badges for your backstage visit after the show. He pointed you in the direction towards the main floor and told you the details of what would happen after the show and where to go to get backstage. You squeezed in between friend groups and couples to get to the far left of the floor. It’d been a while since you’d been to a concert where you had to stand in the pit but nonetheless, you were excited.
The loud speaker announced the opening act with a loud guitar strum, and the lights went up on stage. Neon hues bounced from the overheads around the space as they swiveled in their spots. The curtains opened to a small five piece band you’d never heard of. The rough bass lines and drums were contrasted against the lead singers soft vocals. You jumped around with your friends to the fun, upbeat music. After their 6th song, they took a bow saying thanks and told the crowd to scream as loud as they could for the main act.
The curtains closed and there were muffled voices and crashes of sound as they adjusted the stage. A cymbal on the drum kit was softly tapped and a melody of strums against a guitar resonated through the microphone. The curtains slowly opened to a somewhat tall boy. He was lean and you could see his veins snaking up his arms as he strummed the chords and made rifts in the melody. His ash blonde hair had darker gray tips and was longer than you’d remembered.
“Semi…” Your words were barely said like they were a thought accompanied by the movement of your lips and little air.
Suddenly, it was like the rest of the world disappeared as you watched him. No crowds, no dancing feet, no walls, and no sounds. Maybe this was a dream, a vivid lucid dream where you thought about something too hard in the back of your mind and you made it happen without realizing it. Everything dispersed and then shimmered back together like a mirage and you were met with Koshi’s hand on your shoulder and a worried look. All you could do was shake your head and hold a thumbs up with an almost, believable grin.
You looked back at the man on stage. The way his fingers glided along the frets and the slight white of his nail beds as he pressed the strings to form a specific chord. His hair fell around his face as he banged his head to the music in the background. He adjusted his earpiece which was a plum purple, you knew it was reminiscent of his high school volleyball days. The vein in his neck protruded delicately against his skin as his Adam's apple bobbed with each crescendo of his voice as he sang.
The lights dimmed in the concert theater, a different ambiance from the electric lights from before. Semi put his guitar in the stand and sat behind a long, glossy mahogany Yamaha concert piano. A single amber spotlight shone above him as his fingers danced along the ivory keys. The octave jumped in a moment as his thumb crossed under his third finger hitting the flat of the note. You were close enough to see his boot softly press against the pedal, and he started to sing, his voice became the only thing you heard as the harmonies melted into your ears.
“I have known you my whole life,
When we were 10-
I said I’d make you my wife.
8 years later, we grew apart and older
Just as I took the world on my shoulders…”
He ended the song, softly gliding his hands down the scale of keys. He stood from the black lacquered bench and walked to center stage. He took the microphone off the stand, saying his ‘thanks’ for supporting him and joining him for this concert tonight. He took a bow at the waist and waved as the curtain closed in front of him. The lights went up in the venue and the crowd started to dissipate. You stayed where you stood, still in shock over those last two beautifully played notes. They floated so blissfully across the stage and echoed through the speakers strung high above the ground in the top corners of the ceiling.
Quiet tears fell over the high of your cheekbones and streamed down to your chest, crashing against the polished concrete ground of the small concert hall. Did he still think about you? That symphony of sounds was so familiar, like the one he used to play for you as kids. The song sounded like it was made for you, even though you were sure he didn’t know you were here, it felt like he sang it just for you.
Koshi noticed your tears and wrapped his arms around your shoulders, pulling you close. No words needed to be said between the two of you. Kiyoko placed her hand on your back, rubbing it up and down comfortingly.
“You okay?” Ko whispered in your ear.
“Yeah, it was just a pretty song. Reminded me of a past memory, no biggie!” You stepped out of his embrace and wiped your index fingers along your wet lash line, trying to not ruin your makeup.
You shook the small tears off of your fingers and gave a soft smile to your friends. You took a moment to fix your hair and recalled the directions the usher gave you to get to the door that led backstage. You moved through the hallways and corridors, showing your badge to each employee that stopped you. After a few minutes of weaving through the space, avoiding pieces of stage materials and instruments, the three of you found yourselves in front of a plain black door with a card labeled S. EITA, at eye-level. You took a deep inhale and then knocked.
You waited patiently, feeling your heart beating so harshly in your chest as your mind raced between old memories of you and him. The good, the not so good, and the best. It was hard to imagine what he would be like now, after years of not seeing each other, not speaking to one another, almost like the two of you never existed together. Except you did and you saw it in photographs, in letters, in emoji rampant texts and you saw it in the gray eyes that captured yours as the door opened.
Silence.
Kiyoko stepped between the two of you, unknowing of your history, and started rambling about the show and the set up and the lights. Your mouth moved but no words came out, it just gaped open and gasped for air like a fish out of water. He looked over her shoulder at you once more, like he was met with a figment of his imagination. But you were real- and standing before him in the dim glow of his dressing room. He stepped to the side, allowing you in. The space was probably as big as your dorm room, a large mirror was surrounded by lightbulbs along the far wall and a black leather couch sat in the middle with a small rectangular coffee table. Off to the side you could see a mini fridge stocked with water, energy drinks and a half-eaten fruit tray. You imagined what it would be like to be on the road touring with him, jumping from state to state until your thought was interrupted by Semi’s low voice.
“Y/n.” There was a hesitation in his voice, like he had forgotten how to say your name. Forgotten how it rolled so beautifully off of his tongue.
“Hi, Semi. The world is funny like this, I guess.” You offered him a sympathetic smile.
“Wait. You two know each other?!” Kiyoko looked between the both of you.
You looked back at Semi and nodded. You sat down on the couch, and the others followed suit. You told your friends about your childhood, growing up with Semi and the fond memories you’d shared. You left out the small details, like the way he made you smile the first day you met, the first time you laughed so hard you snorted, and the way your heart felt so comforted being around him. You told them about your falling out and told him about the small achievements you’ve made since the last time you’d spoken.
He didn’t take his eyes off of you from the moment you’d finally said hello to the last utterance of breath you took. “I’m sorry I left you behind…” His voice was calm but filled with sadness as he realized he’d missed so much of your life.
Minutes turned into hours and it was getting late. You picked up your bag from beside you and stood from your comfortable position on the couch. “We should get going, it’s getting late.” You looked between your two seemingly enthusiastic friends.
“Y/n… C-can you stay for a while longer? There’s so many things I still want to say to you.”
“Yes, they can. They would be delighted!” Koshi and Kiyoko smiled too large for comfort, like they had an unspoken plan between the two of them.
You sighed as they started to walk backward towards the door. “I can’t. I have to study.” You protested.
But then you felt it. A warmth that blanketed your whole body as it spread from the tips of your fingers to your toes. You turned to see Semi’s hand, holding your wrist as his eyes pleaded silently, hoping you’d catch on to his desperation. He still held that same childhood innocence as he let go of your wrist and held out his pinky finger. Your mind clouded with the memory of that humid August day on the bus. An exasperated breath escaped your lips as you looked from his extended pinky to his gaze.
“It’s a forever promise.” You turned your body towards him and took slow steps closer.
He took one large step, closing the distance and wrapped his arms around you. Everything felt like it was supposed to again. Every worry you’d had up until that moment melted away as you found comfort in his scent. You buried your face in the valley of his neck as he held you tighter. He lifted his head and spoke towards your friends saying that he’d get you home safely and they shouldn't worry. You froze for a moment, forgetting they were there. You pulled away from him and gave them an apologetic look, which they shrugged off with a genuine smile as they shuffled out the door.
“I never stopped thinking about you. Did you know that?” He was sincere in his words as his calloused fingertips cupped your cheeks.
It was in that moment that you realized, home was not just a house. It could be a person and your person was finally in front of you after all this time. You didn’t hesitate as you pressed your lips against his. It wasn’t rushed or messy, but slow and sensual. He was taken aback by the sudden kiss but quickly moved his mouth in tandem with your own. It was a waltz of tongues as you felt every curve, and drop of his lips. Tasted his sweetness in open mouthed kisses- like Red Bull and pineapples. He was warm as he pulled you closer to him, and you ran your fingers up his arms and through his ashy tresses.
“Stay with me, tonight. Please. I’ve missed you.” He spoke, lips still hovering over your own with eyes softly shut.
“I’d like that. We have quite a bit of catching up to do.” You leaned forward, kissing him once more.
-----------------------------
“Semi Eita.” You rolled over to face him in your shared bed of the hotel room, looking at his sleeping figure. You whispered just wanting to hear his name, allowing your fingertips to trace the curve of his jaw, the bow of his lips. His breath fanned over against your skin, soft sighs in minty toothpaste wafts.
This was the boy that filled your childhood, soft dreams next to each other and drowning out the noises with loud guitar solos. He made it feel less lonely. He made you feel loved in your lowest times. And known. And accepted, no matter how different you were from everyone else. He always seemed so whole, and put together- saying he could take care of himself and didn’t need anyone. That’s why you broke up in the first place, which felt like a lifetime ago now. He didn’t need you nor did you need him in a way- but you wanted each other. Something about letting go of something you love and if it finds its way back to you, it was meant to be. You and Semi, seamlessly ended up together, again. That infinite well of hopelessness that you spent all the time believing swallowed you whole, was nothing but a mere figment of imagination. He was here with you now.
“I love you, Semi.” You rest your head against the valley of his neck, finding solace in the warmth of his skin, breathing in his after shower scent.
You stayed there, lying awake in the memories of your relationship- not wanting them to become slippery. Not wanting to forget everything you two had been through. Life seems to have a funny way of allowing things to fade away into thin air, like a whisper or a blown kiss. But the pulse of unfinished business still beats as life unfurls; days to weeks to months to years. Love happens when people talk about it often, spending time and learning each other's faults, dreams, aspirations. That’s when you discover that not even the ones you thought you loved the most seemed to have the same effect that Semi does. In the end, the mark you left on eachother was in the shape and color of love. That will always be your unfinished business, because love is never finished.
It circles and circles, like the koi fish in a pond imitating the yin and yang. Those memories come in spurts and waves- out of order and not always complete. But one that always floats on in your mind, one you always come back to: you and Semi under an autumn dazed sun, apple orchards surrounding you as you lean up against a tree stump. He’s strumming his guitar in the soft melody he only plays for you and then holds out a dirty, calloused hand. You take into yours, entwining your fingers and rubbing your index finger against his knuckle- and you do not let go. You feel a warm wetness stroll down your cheek and he subconsciously wraps a heavy arm around you. And it was his turn to not let go.

pray for the stars to come together
Tumblr media
kita shinsuke x gn! reader
soft angst ; fluff ; a teaspoon of poetry ; exes to lovers ; abstract ; non-linear ; implied death
inspired by: wish - blackbeans ; lyrics translation
it’s always been you collab by @woahsamu
a/n: it’s been awhile since i’ve written anything so please be gentle and i hope you like it !!
Tumblr media
it’s been three years. and oddly enough, he could not feel the weight of your absence even after so long. how could he when traces of you were littered around his home—somehow it still felt like one.
taking a sip of his lukewarm tea, kita watched the stars glistened ever so bright from his balcony. maybe, somewhere deep within his heart, he knew it will work out in the end. as his grandma would always say, ‘if it’s meant to be, it will be’.
of course, he could tell she was affected by your missing presence when she called out your name each time she wanted an orange peeled. perhaps, he even found himself pouring an extra cup of tea whenever he was lost in thought.
you were always present in the little routine they had in their life, and even after three years, even if grandma stops calling you and kita stops grabbing another cup, somehow he could still vividly feel the love you left for him in bits and pieces of memories stored in his precious cookie tin (the same one you used to keep scraps of scribbled poems and letters).
kita loved you, so much so that he realized he might even love the you who he have yet to meet after three years. all he could do was pray to the stars that always accompanied him through the night.
“i wish. . .”
Tumblr media
“don’t you want to know too?”
kita raised a brow at your sudden question, the pen he was diligently using to scribble down notes lifted only for a mere second before he continued where he left off.
“know of?”
“who is going to sit at your grave and talk to you for hours. you know? that kind of thing.”
your feet swung in unison to the tone of your voice while the sparkle in your eyes was brimmed with so much curiosity, he wondered if only you had given the same amount of attention to your studies as you would then also be at the top of your class.
“was that all yer thinking about this whole time?”
“maybe?”
you grinned like an innocent child caught playing around instead of doing their homework.
“would you?”
kita wanted to answer you only after you have finished your work, but just the thought of knowing you will never be by his side again somehow didn’t sit well with him. his heart felt an itch he wasn’t familiar with, and yet through this unfamiliarity did he realize how much of your presence occupied his heart.
“would yer want me to?”
he looked up at your surprised face, a fond smile dotted along his lips when he noticed soft hues of red dusted on the tip of your ears.
“that would be romantic but i feel like you would just be nagging over my dead body if you’re going to talk for hours.”
a sweet chuckle left his lips at your accusation, one in which he found it to be quite endearing. did that meant you had envision growing old with him?
“i think that does sound nice.”
you gasped in the most exaggerated manner you could master as your hand covered your mouth.
“are you saying it’s nice that i’m going to die first?”
sometimes he wondered what goes on in that head of yours, yet it amused him how you would always bring pockets of joy into his life.
“i’m saying it’ll be nice to grow old together with yer.”
Tumblr media
it’s been three years. and oddly enough, you found yourself still holding onto a cup of tea as you watched the faint twinkle of stars hanging in the night sky. from time to time, you would doodle random rice grain on your scripts and even peel an extra orange out of habit.
it was in those little moments did you realize how much of his routine had stuck with you even if you stubbornly refused to follow through it. and in the absence of his presence, you found yourself struggling to keep in touch with reality, for you had never known how he was always the one anchoring you so you would not lost your way back.
sometimes you wondered if it was worth it. moving to a new city, starting afresh and chasing a dream you still was not quite sure of. it was everything you ever wanted, yes, and the more you shared it with everyone you love, the more you believe in it. the more others tried to tell you otherwise, the more certain you were towards it.
yet, somewhere deep within your heart, you knew that if nothing worked out, there was still a place you could return to. you just had a feeling that even if the world were to end the next day, you would still find yourself wanting to be in the comfort of his arms.
a saying you often heard by someone precious to you, ‘if it’s meant to be, it will be.’ and you believe in it. after all, whatever happens will happen. perhaps, maybe the only thing you could do was pray to the little shimmers above you that had been the light to your dark days.
“i wish. . .”
Tumblr media
“yer sure?”
you nodded firmly, albeit the nervousness bubbling in the pits of your stomach at your decision.
atsumu hummed a little too loud, making you shushed him in panic.
“and for how long?”
“three to maybe five years?”
the lad almost blew your cover if you had not reacted quick enough by covering his loud mouth with your hand.
“yer crazy?!”
he whispered-yelled after prying your hand away.
“i don’t know, am i?”
the blonde could not believe the question (even if it was rhetorical) that left your lips.
“did captain say anything about it?”
your silence explained the whole situation as to why you even have to pull him towards the old gym and away from prying eyes.
“did yer think he wouldn’t understand?”
you shook your head, suddenly feeling ashamed of your actions even when you had thought about it a thousand and more times.
“he would. i know he would be supportive and that’s the thing…”
if the whole world was against you, you knew he would still be the one to hold your hand gently and tell you how it’ll be all okay because he just know that was what you needed to hear.
“i don’t want him to say that it’s okay if i’m not by his side. i know i’m being selfish and unreasonable, but i don’t want him to let me go even if i need him to.”
Tumblr media
if only you had known.
“i’m sorry i was too late.”
if only he had been more selfish.
“yer still made it.”
with your eyes darting towards the ceiling in hopes to keep those waves of frustration and sorrow back, a tear or two still slipped from the corner of your eyes as you stubbornly refused to blink them away.
“why…did it have to be this way?”
the words trembled along with your fingers that held the last thing you ever wanted to hold in your life, even if you knew it was inevitable.
“yer would think she said that because she knew?”
oh god, just the thought of her words echoing along with the memories you shared together was enough to bring you down. your heart ached so much as the sight of her smile in the small photo frame in front of you.
‘if it’s meant to be, it will be.’
you wanted to at least make her proud with all her constant nagging of wanting to meet her grandchildren, yet had you known her time was numbered, perhaps you would never leave in the first place.
“i didn’t know—”
“—no one knew what will happen in the future—”
“—two years! it was only two more years i could’ve—”
with gentle arms soothing your back, you spilled every regret, frustration and pain into his shoulder as if everything was a lie. as if this was all a bad dream and you’ll wake up tomorrow studying for your final exams. before you made the stupid decision to leave, to just disappear without a goodbye, and maybe she will still be here nagging for you two to get married soon.
“did she say anything?”
your red puffy eyes did nothing to hinder your nimble fingers as you peeled an orange with ease.
“about yer?”
you nodded, gently placing the finished one next to the alter before proceeding to peel another one.
kita watched as you did what you would always do back in the days, and somehow he could feel the tears prickling the corner of his eyes at the endearing sight of you he had been constantly replying in his mind so he wouldn’t forget. like a routine he wished to be able to relive again.
naturally, he took another teacup and poured you some tea as you broke the orange in half for him.
“she said if yer coming back, she wants to be the first to see us get married.”
you hummed.
“and that she hope yer would stop feeling guilty for leaving because she knew about yer dream.”
you nodded and for once, finally tore your eyes away from her to the stars in front of the balcony.
“i wish we could have just stayed together from the start. even though that wasn’t the initial wish i kept praying.”
kita couldn’t help but chuckle knowing you still had the habit of saying your wishes aloud. his gaze softened at the way you laid right by his side so effortlessly, as if your absence never happened. perhaps, he knew all along that even if it took ten years for you to come back, it would still feel right. you would still fit perfectly like a mold you made him out to be where it’s only right if it’s you.
“yer weren’t the only one praying to the stars, but i guess i would also wish yer were here with me from the start. at least,”
tightening his arms around your frame, he decided it wouldn’t be so bad to be selfish for once.
“i know yer would be here until the end.”
“yes, until we grow old and wrinkly.”
“even if i nag at yer grave for hours?”
you chuckled at the old memory he just had to remind you of. seriously, you couldn’t believe he still remembered something so silly.
“even if you nag in front of our kids and grandkids, i would still love you nonetheless.”

lying down in the meadow with sugawara koushi
warnings: none, i think (it is angsty tho -_-) word count: 348 gender neutral! a/n: part of @woahsamu's 'this magic moment' collab event!
Tumblr media
you lay on the grass in a meadow, listening to the birds. the grass prickles as you move to face your best friend, sugawara koushi. you stare at him, smiling at the way his eyes follow the fluffy clouds in the blue sky.
you take in everything at once, making sure you can remember this moment forever. the way you didn't have anything on your mind but here. the hum of nature, showing you how wonderful it was. the tranquility of it all.
"hey y/n," koushi says. he's sitting up, smiling, his eyes sparkling with excitement. you smile, "hmm?" "you remember, the girl i talked to you about in my class, the one with the turtle bag?" he says. "yeah?" you ask confusedly. "i asked her out, and she said yes! i have a girlfriend now!"
you pause, your mouth hung open. you don't even notice a singular tear drop down your face. you quickly wipe it, putting back your familiar wide smile.
"y/n! what's wrong?" koushi asks, his eyebrows furrowing. "nothing", you add, smiling widely, putting your face in your hands as you sit up to face him. "i'm just so happy for you! i never thought i'd see this day." koushi laughs, "now all we need to do is find someone for you. what about your classmate, the one that sits next to you. do you like them?" you laugh. "i don't think so. besides, i'm not looking for a relationship at the moment."
you lie back down, staring at the clouds, observing every detail. anything to prevent the welling tears from falling down. the truth hits you like a wave. you like him. of course you do. how could you not? the way he smiles at you when your eyes meet, the way he pats your back as you slowly list out your worries and problems, the way he listens to your silly rambles, nodding along as you spoke.
how stupid you feel.
