Born with genius-level intellect, #Ekko constructed machines before he could crawl. Throughout his youth he watched his parents age beyond their years. They earned meager wages while greedy factory owners, and sneering #Piltovan buyers, profited immensely from their labor. It would all be worth it, they reasoned, if it meant their son could one day rise to the city above. Ekko made an astonishing find: a shard of blue-green crystal that glittered with magical energy. He experimented madly with the crystal. During one less-than-scientific attempt, the gem exploded into a vortex of shimmering dust, triggering eddies of temporal distortion. Ekko opened his eyes to see several splintered realities—and several echo versions of himself—staring back in sheer panic amid the fractured continua. He really did it this time. After some tense coordination between Ekko & his paradoxes, they managed to contain & repair the hole he had torn in the fabric of reality. Eventually, he harnessed the shattered crystal’s temporal powers into a device that would allow him to manipulate small increments of time… in theory. The time-warping device—which Ekko dubbed the #ZeroDrive—grew more and more stable. The only limit was how many do-overs his body could take before exhaustion set in. His time-bending antics have made him a person of interest to some of #Zaun & #Piltover ’s most inventive, most powerful, & most dangerous individuals. But his only interest is in his friends, his family, and his city. He dreams of the day when his hometown rises up to dwarf the so-called City of Progress, when Piltover’s golden veneer will be overshadowed by the towering ingenuity and relentless spunk of a Zaun born not from generations of privilege, but from sheer daring. He may not have a plan yet, but he’s got all the time in the world. After all, if his Z-Drive can change the past, how hard can it be to change the future? Another cool event with @wwp in the bag. Wood turning was interesting and challenging. I had to learn to relax and give myself grace while learning to do a skill I never even heard about! I made the first three items and the single bottle topper was made by Mike the gentleman that was my instructor. It’s amazing the people you meet, at lunch we were all chatting and Mike tells us he was an Admiral in the Coast Guard. Happy Monday, fellow daywalkers! I usually like to point out something fun or cool that happened on today's date, but today I wanna note something kinda somber (with a really, really bulky, sweaty, uncomfortable name): The U.N. has declared today as the official "Time of Remembrance and Reconciliation for Those Who Lost Their Lives during the Second World War" (whew - that's a mouthful! Let's just say "Remembrance Day").

So, in recognition of Remembrance Day, I humbly suggest you take a moment to reflect on the MILLIONS and MILLIONS (between 35 and 60, depending who you ask) of people who died during the brutal years of WW2. And - today and every day - remember the courage, legacies, and families of those who fight and die for YOU. The Wounded Warrior Project is a legitimately awesome organization dedicated to helping those very heroes, and it's an honor to show them some love with one (or both) of these (very inexpensive) adornments!

I think on this Veterans Day I want ro thank the people that wrote letters. Sent care packages. They sent the news papers from Home that were so valuable even if they were a week or two old. The people that really made the difference in that experience. Especially the people I never met that set care packages and letters to me as a complete stranger. A Nonprofit organization meaningful to me!

Hello, my name is Dylan Ford, and this is my second blog on Tumblr, I am doing it for a college course called Commi-1400-600: Social Media Communication and this week we are discussing a nonprofit organization that means a lot to us.  

The Nonprofit organization I have chosen this week is The Wounded Warrior Project. Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is a charity and veterans service organization that offers a variety of programs, services, and events for wounded veterans of the military actions following September 11, 2001. It operates as a nonprofit 501(c) organization. As of August 22, 2021, WWP served 157,975 registered alumni and 40,520 registered family support members. The organization has partnered with several other charities, including the American Red Cross, Resounding Joy, a music therapy group in California, and Operation Homefront. WWP has also provided a year-long Track program, which helps veterans transition to college and the workplace. According to Charity Navigator, WWP allocates 75.1 percent of its revenue to program expenses and 24.7 percent to fundraising and administrative expenses. WWP is recognized under the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) workplace giving program of the federal government of the United States with CFC #11425. On WWP Instagram they have a grand total of 175,000 followers, on twitter they have 182,500 followers, and on Facebook they have three million followers. For an organization that has grown and overcome all 50 states for our veterans it is an honor to be a part of. Considering the number of programs and stories they have discovered and produced to take concern for the wellbeing of our United States Veterans.  

With their minimal followers on multiple platforms, compared to Facebook, the Wounded Warrior Project should broaden their platforms and ads to spread awareness and their meaning even more!! Considering this month is considered suicide prevention month, they are hosting an event on their twitter account Monday, September 26th, 2022, at 1pm. To #CombatStigma seeking help for suicide ideations.  

Two Advanced Metrics for Facebook would be its capabilities to share and promote so easily as a platform, that it enables nonprofit organizations to spread their message so well. Due to WWP mass spreading on the Facebook world, it enabled its platform and site to gain over three million followers.  

 An Advanced Metric for Twitter would have to be its capabilities to retweet and voice channel, with multiple members enabling communication for yourself, 1 versus however many are in the chat. Twitter Vs. Facebook on this topic, twitter wins. While winning on the fact by voice with voce communication, rather than voice reacting and answering comments on a live stream that go too fast typically for the average reader.  

Both Facebook and Twitter accounts for the Wounded Warrior Project have great channel metrics considering how active they are reaching out to the community educating them and day by day taking care of our wounded warriors AKA (Veterans). Following Behavioral metrics, they are completely loyal to both platforms, Facebook, and Twitter, by reaching out to the community regularly and communicating with its followers.

The Veteran suicide rate is 1.5 times higher than that of the general population: 22 Veterans per day choose to take their own lives. I don’t even pretend to have the answers on how to deal with this, but I think awareness is the first step. While the #22pushupchallenge is awesome, I want to push myself a little harder. So Sunday (or Monday) I am going to run. While I have been running, I haven’t been training for anything specific. Nonetheless, I plan on running at least 26.2 miles. After that, it’s anyone’s guess how far I will go. No support crew, no long training program, no clear cut idea on my path, but this is my way of helping bring awareness.
