Here's a quick. Thing. They're All God's (except LBH) AU. This is like, the ending. no i dont explain anything. i just wanted lqg to get melted down and rebuilt. you know, as gods do. this does have an open/unsatisfactory endind just fyi haha

When he loses the first time, Liu Qingge refuses to acknowledge it. It doesn't matter, after all, as long as he tries again he can change something. He returns the second, third, fourth, fifth times.

He has lost count when he realizes that the something he has changed is in him. With the same heaving blood soaked breaths he coughs up at Luo Binghe's figure, something has been changed in him.

Of course. He cannot be the God of Breakthroughs if he cannot break through.

He keeps losing.

Each battle he marches into is another dig at his once spotless reputation. He feels his divinity and grace slough away from him like dried mud. Still he faces Luo Binghe every day.

It forges him into something else.

When Shen Yuan reawakens, not dead but Ascended, Liu Qingge stops his fruitless battles. 

Shen Jiu is with him. At some point the God had shed the title of Qingqiu as trees lose their autumn leaves. Still the God of Bitter Fall and Uneven Ground, of Unfair Advantages, but now also of Cunning Thought and Persistence. He hasn't changed, Liu Qingge realizes. He's just revealed more of who he is.

Shen Yuan is, as always, Shen Jiu's compliment: God of Bountiful Harvest and Smooth Travels, and of Cutting Words and Sloth.

Shen Yuan has, thoroughly, molded himself into the perfect God for his precious demonic pet. Luo Binghe will never want for a single thing ever again with the God of Easy Living walking by his side.

Liu Qingge wants to avoid them both. Everyone else is already aware, but from these two he wishes to hide his failures for just a little longer. However, the core of him is settled in such a way that he cannot find it in himself to pull away.

They want to see him.

It's no surprise that when Yue Qingyuan invites him to a banquet, Shen Jiu and Shen Yuan are there as well. As ever, Yue Qingyuan's bias shines through.

"What did you do?" Shen Jiu snarls from across the banquet hall.

"Who— oh Qingge!" Shen Yuan turns and catches sight of him as well.

Tension rises in Liu Qingge's body but—they've already seen. And if, somehow, they are too dense to understand, any one of their God siblings will explain it. Poorly. So Liu Qingge stays.

Shen Jiu is, of course disgusted. Shen Yuan intrigued.

"I thought once gods Ascend they do not change." He comments curiously.

"They don't." Shen Jiu hisses. "They can adapt perhaps. Split. Acquire or shed new epithets or old ones as we have. But they do not change. If they stop being what they are, then that God simply ceases to be."

"It's as it is." Liu Qingge shrugs. "I'm still a God—"

"Of cycles." Shen Jiu accuses.

"Reliability!" Shen Yuan insists. "Qingge is always dependable."

"It is no great thing if you can only depend on him to lose." Shen Jiu's dark gaze is calculating and Liu Qingge understands that, somehow, Shen Jiu knows the whole story already. That he simply needed to see Liu Qingge to fit the pieces together.

"He doesn't lose!" Shen Yuan defends, loyally. "Qingge has always been there when we needed him!"

Silence descends on the banquet hall like an awkward blanket.

"What, did—have I missed something?" Shen Yuan asks, glancing sharply around.

Yue Qingyuan, belatedly, ushers the rest of his guests out. Liu Qingge supposes he must be grateful that Luo Binghe isn't here to enjoy rubbing Liu Qingge's nose in it. Shen Jiu will, assuredly, have no problems doing it instead.

"It's exactly as Shen Jiu says." Liu Qingge starts. "Fighting Luo Binghe has irrevocably changed me." He says.

What he doesn't say: I cannot win against him now even if he deigned to throw the fight.

Perhaps, to Shen Yuan, the change isn't so dramatic. Shen Yuan had never wanted Liu Qingge to win that battle anyway, and Liu Qingge has ever been Shen Yuan's most reliable God-Brother.

Once upon a time, Liu Qingge was a War God. There were and still are many gods of war: strategy and prowess, blood and conquering, weapons and trade.

Liu Qingge was the breakthrough. The final push. The turning of tides. The culmination. He had never failed to turn a lost cause into victory, there had never been a battle lost to him if he meant to win it.

But then Shen Qingqiu became two, and then Luo Binghe built a shrine and Shen Yuan wasn't prepared for his tribulations and then—

Well.

Liu Qingge is a War God. Of Cycles, Shen Jiu says. Of Reliability, Shen Yuan insists. He is the God of forlorn hope, of having only one spear and one sword, of hunting phoenixes in mirrors. The same battle retread for the same reasons.

I am at the unfortunate point in the svsss fandom that it is becoming quite difficult to find stories that I have not yet read that have the types of characterization that I like. (For example if sqq is not just so in love with lbh then it is too ooc for me! Unless lbh remains fictional and even that's pushing it. Lol)

hi. it's sqh/yqy again. you're going to need to read the preceding segment of this for it to make sense.

1 - Critical Failure!

The thing about Yue Qingyuan was that he was really fucking good at this whole cultivation thing. It wasn't for nothing that OP protagonist son Bing-ge had to catch Yue Qingyuan in a trap first to get a good chance at killing him! Even now, years before he'd really hit his prime, Yue Qingyuan was the perfect model cultivator, with a strong and expertly trained body, and, relevantly to this situation, actually pretty fast and possessed of a very good reaction time.

All this to say, Shang Qinghua got out the window.

He did not get much further than the window, because Yue Qingyuan also dove out the window (gracefully!) and (less gracefully!) proceeded to bodily tackle Shang Qinghua.

There was some rolling and shouting and flailing involved. Let it not be said that Shang Qinghua went down without a fight! Or at least without some screaming and crying!

Yue Qingyuan still managed to pin Shang Qinghua down, because of course he did.

"I'm not a chair, stop sitting on me!"

"Just a moment, I really do--" Yue Qingyuan paused to deal with Shang Qinghua's elbow to his face and also slam it down so Shang Qinghua couldn't elbow him again -- "appreciate -- your concern. But there's really no need to bother Shen-shidi with these things, so if you could just -- hold still--"

"Hahaha, no way bro!" Shang Qinghua said, and bit him.

Was this a smart decision? Not really, but it sure was satisfying!

Yue Qingyuan made a noise that could have been an aborted swear. "Shang-shidi, I don't think that was necessary."

"Necessary is a subjective term!" Shang Qinghua said. "It's necessary to turn in paperwork, but have you seen how many people I need to chase down for that?? Clearly the definition isn't universal!"

"That's not the same --"

"It's absolutely the same!"

"You don't bite them!"

"And what if I did? Maybe I should!! Maybe they'll learn to fill out the requisition forms correctly then!!!"

"That isn't--" Yue Qingyuan exhaled. "This isn't... are you... still going to tell Qingqiu?"

"I don't know, am I???"

"It's... private. Please don't tell him."

"If I don't, will you?"

Yue Qingyuan laughed. It was an empty and unpleasant sound. "He wouldn't want me reminding him how I failed." His head drooped down, closer to Shang Qinghua's chest. "I broke my promise, Shang-shidi. Who wants to hear about that again?"

...Was Yue Qingyuan about to cry on him?

.Wow! This situation was already uncomfortable! It was about to get even more uncomfortable!

"If I say I won't," Shang Qinghua wheedled, "then will you get off me."

Having the thighs of a strong and beautiful cultivator on either side of him was the stuff of the shitty romance novels he still liked reading. Every man's dream! Super sexy! Except the romance novels never accounted for when the cultivator was about to have a nervous breakdown! Opposite of sexy, actually!

"You still want to tell him, don't you?" Yue Qingyuan said. "I don't think it'll be better that way. Even if it's you and not me -- especially if it's you and not me -- won't it be worse? Wouldn't he just be angry that I couldn't tell him myself?"

"Isn't this conversation pointless if you're not planning on telling him yourself?" Shang Qinghua said.

Yue Qingyuan looked down at him with big, sad eyes. "Qinghua, please don't say anything."

Ah? Aaah?? Was Yue Qingyuan trying puppy-dog eyes? That wasn't going to work, Yue-shixiong! Too bad! People did that on An Ding everyday! Shang Qinghua was immune! He had no sympathy!

"Don't cry on me," Shang Qinghua said.

Yue Qingyuan laughed again.

Somebody choked.

It was... not Shang Qinghua. It was very much a sound Shang Qinghua would make, but...

Shang Qinghua tilted his head back, and there it was. A little Qiong Ding disciple coming through the brush, scroll in hand, probably playing messenger boy. He was staring at them, wide-eyed and white-faced.

Shang Qinghua suddenly became horribly aware of his position -- Yue Qingyuan on top of him, straddling his hips, pinning his hands over his head, both of them disheveled and breathing hard. He'd been bucking up to try to get Yue Qingyuan off, but at first glance, it looked like... well, that he was, ha, trying to get Yue Qingyuan off. You know, the other way.

"Ah," Yue Qingyuan said, in the tone of someone who was experiencing the same revelation as Shang Qinghua and was just beginning to conceptualize the impact of it on his honorable and righteous reputation.

This would be really funny if Shang Qinghua was not involved.

"I see Da-shixiong is busy with private matters!" squeaked the little Qiong Ding shidi. "Sorry to interrupt! I'll come back later!"

"That's not necessary," Yue Qingyuan began, hastily straightening up. Ah, but that was too little, too late. Shidi was already way out of earshot and disappearing into the distance, clearly intent on respecting the privacy of Da-shixiong.

"So," Shang Qinghua said conversationally, "what are the chances your shidi is going to tell everyone not to disturb you because you're busy?" He put as much suggestiveness in the last word as he possibly could, just so Yue Qingyuan got the point.

Yue Qingyuan winced. "Yan-shidi is... not subtle."

"So everyone's going to know this happened."

"... Likely, yes."

"And they're all going to think we were about to fuck nasty outside."

"Um," Yue Qingyuan said.

Yue Qingyuan was still sitting on him.

Shang Qinghua let the back of his head hit the ground with a thump. "Fuck."

this fic is my baby that i expect mmm maybe 3 people to read, but it is gonna be my next longfic after WINRN! Zhuzhi-lang finds Luo Binghe as a child and watches over him in secret. when Luo Binghe leaves for Cang Qiong, Zhuzhi-lang finds a way to assume a human shape and follow him so that he can continue to protect his cousin--only to end up accepted onto the mountain under Yue Qingyuan, the man who defeated and sealed his uncle. thus proceeds many shenanigans, disciple!Shen Yuan, Qijiu reconciliation, and Qiong Ding Peak slowly acclimated to their new martial brother who keeps unhinging his jaw to eat rats.

It is on one of these ventures, letting himself drift, half-asleep, along the silty bottom of the Luo River, that Zhuzhi-lang finds a new purpose in his life.  He finds it when it crashes into him, in fact. A little body drops like a stone into the water, a tiny dark mass that Zhuzhi-lang thinks at first to be a large fish or a stray dog. Then the little body starts to flail in the water, dark hair fanning out and short limbs waving. A child.  Zhuzhi-lang is not a creature often moved to kindness. He saves his empathy sparingly, for the person who most deserves it in the world. But he is heartsick and monstrous in the river, and this creature is so small. He cannot free Junshang from his bindings, but he can save the life of this little thing.  He catches them around the chest, secures a grip with slick-scaled hands, and tosses them from the water onto the shore. They roll and curl up into a tiny dark lump, coughing up river water. There are more human children on the bank. Scruffy and scrawny but bigger than the one Zhuzhi-lang has fished out of the river. They are holding sticks, and there are thin lash marks on the pale arms of the child.  Seeing the child miraculously returned to the river bank, now pushing themselves onto hands and knees, one of the others with a stick scowls and approaches. “Hey, the dog’s been washed up. Push him again and maybe—”  Zhuzhi-lang pulls himself up onto the riverbank behind the child. He uses his arms to heave up his tail, a sheet of dark hair turned lank curtain by the water. The child he fished from the river is too busy coughing and sputtering on the ground to look around for its saviour.  The children in front of him, though, get the full view of this form. One of them whimpers. Zhuzhi-lang catches the sudden scent of urine on the wind.  He hisses, baring sharp fangs, and the children flee with shrill screams.  The half-drowned child finishes expelling water from their lungs and rolls over. Zhuzhi-lang lowers himself back down to lay flat on the ground when the other children run away, but he knows how he looks. Without Junshang’s blood keeping him stabilized and humanoid, he is a monstrosity. He expects this child, too, to scream demon and run when they realize what, exactly, has saved them from the icy Luo river.  Then large, dark eyes blink up at him. Painfully familiar eyes, in a painfully familiar small face.  The child freezes. Zhuzhi-lang freezes right back, as much from the shock of that face in miniature as for the child’s comfort. They both lay there, on the banks of the river, for a long minute, watching each other.  The child with Junshang’s eyes and Young Mistress Su’s face gingerly pulls themselves off of the ground. They kneel in the dirt in front of him. “A river monster…?” The child asks.

does anyone else have horny and non-horny ships? like binggeyuan is totally a horny ship & so is anything with tianlang-jun. i don't really read that much pwp but i will read the FILITHIEST things if they involve a heavenly demon ig. but tender binggeyuan always just seems so...wrong. tbh i think you have to be in a certain state of mind to truly appreciate the freak4freak dynamic they have going on...like any reasonable person would dump lbg's ass but then again sy has the wife halo so it all works out.

No one asked for this but ranking my fave Yue Qingyuan ships.

1. QiJiu

The OG doomed fated lovers, pining from afar and silent loyalty and desire. Would literally die for each other but can’t even have a more than five lines of dialogue before ruining their conversations due to miscommunication that could be easily resolved if they would just talk. However, communication is forbidden in danmei world which is why the fic is always so so good and cathartic. Both are obsessed with each other and want to attic wife each other (YQY would love to be trapped and kept by SJ). When they are not healthy or sane they are at their best because SJ would crawl inside YQY's ribcage to feel his beating heart if he could and YQY would open up the cavity to let him if he only asked. The problem is he'd never ask.

(this is also why omega verse works well for them where yqy is an omega)

2. YueLiu or (LiuQiJiu)

Are you telling me Liu Qingge in canon admires YQY and he is probably the only person in the sect that can defeat him, is a kind big brother figure, and he’s NOT crushing hard on him? PLS be for real!! Also YQY appreciating LQG’s bluntness and loyalty because he doesn’t need to second guess his intentions. In a sect full of noble born fussy cultivators, he appreciates LQG’s willingness to get dirty and do what needs to be done to finish a night hunt.

In a LiuQiJiu scenario it is a love triangle (YQY oblivious ofc) until they realize that hmmm maybe this guy I hate is hot and there has to be some reason zhangmen shixiong is so obsessed with him what IS it until they see the light and start thinking about the other under YQY and being like hmmmmm and the competing with each other turning into competing using YQY (✿◠‿◠) who is just relieved his shidis are finally getting along and a little resigned at their mutual attraction until they’re like HEY! You’re our North star get it together or we will fight each other to the death without your intervening here.

3. YueShang

Working class solidarity formed over long nights going over sect paper work together and shared exasperation at everyone and everything they have to deal with including their martial siblings. Also SQH knowing Everything and knowing when to step around issues and maybe also he doesn't think SJ is the worst which elevates him in YQY's eyes. YQY also being slightly endeared by his little shit behavior because he has a Type and also aren't they all just aspects of Airplane's psyche?? also yqy is unreasonably devoted to a fault and that is something sqh (and by extension lbh) might actually want in moments of feeling undeserving of love??? i also have my long standing headcanon that yqy (and then sj) was the first character sqh made but eventually regulated to the side for the lbh story. Also YQY's big tits and naturally amicable demeanor has screamed out SQH's daddy issues since day 1 i rest my case

4. TLJ/YQY

Widower4Widower the only other person that stands a chance putting me in the dirt (again) there are no expectations of each other because that has been a recipe for disaster before. Also mapping the scars they left on each other (or at least TLJ-> YQY)

5. YueMoShang or BinggQiJiu

No hate, I do appreciate them since I learn new things, but I'm also baffled by people who try to fit SVSSS as.... historically accurate.

I'm.... not even sure how that works. Since xianxia itself is fantasy - wuxia would make sense of course.

For my part I just slap on that it's in a distant past, where the earth is mostly pangea shaped, with one culture from real world cropping up here and another here, and they just..... mix. Interact.

Like, for the sake of the genre itself I'd say it's mostly chinese, mostly chinese writing system, which is easy enough since as it so happens, it's the root of a number of other writing systems. Literally just think ATLA, the way they mixed real life culture with fantasy and not let that hold them back.

Oh hey convenient space to put my 'headcanon races if they were transmigrated in our modern era'. SJ and SQH I'd put as chinese, YQY and QQQ korean, LQG japanese, and MQF vietnamese, WQW thai, mostly because I have this AU I play with where they are reincarnated in modern world but have faint recollection of their old lives as CQMS Peak Lords (this would be after the happenings in my universe AU where SJ, rather than dying of heartbreak after seeing Xuan Su sword shards escapes instead this and yes, spoiler alert they stil die bcs I'm all for the whole 'if I can't ascend with you all then I guess let's just all die'), and I keep playing with this scene of SJ living in a compound with YQY (imagine SJ waking up going 'Qi-ge, Qi-ge, gege I want breakfast' and YQY humming indulgently while cooking on the stove💗💗💗💗💘💘💘 (I mean not really relevant AS MUCH but just note I imagine them as brothers brothers here) and they have it for rent at first but when they meet the other PL and realize the truth of their memories, they have it reserved only for their martial siblings. And live together like a group of really chill friends that are low key keeping a pulse on the underground cultivation world that is concealed from the public

Yes, SJ does annoy LQG for rent even if it's not yet time to pay. He just likes being annoying okay, let him be annoying.

Oh, good question! Thinking about it... hmmm, I think Yue Qingyuan would actually enjoy how shameless Tianlang-jun is. A very large amount of Yue Qingyuan's large problems come from poor communication (on the part of him and other people) and, while Tianlang-jun might hide some of how he's really feeling under a deluge of 8D 8D 8D!!!! at times, he doesn't ever seem to hide the base emotions very much. Like, he might use a cheerful demeanor to hide how much he's hurting, but if he's angry at you, you know, and you will know why because he'll tell you. Again, maybe in a slightly round-about way, but you'll know.

And I think Yue Qingyuan appreciates that, possibly more than he realizes. He loved Shen Jiu flaws and all, part of him likely always will, but neither of them were willing or felt able to talk to each other about their hurts or why they're angry. So having someone who's so in-your-face about his everything, it can probably be overwhelming at times, but it makes things easier long-run.

As well as this, both of them found that Life-Changing Field Trip they took in the Demon Realm very liberating in a lot of ways. Like you said, both of them finally got to vent and have a proper fight (multiple times), get to know each other as people, and get some time to just... be, away from sects and followers and anyone who would judge them for their behaviour. Or, at least, anyone whose opinions they actually care about (currently). It gave them time and opportunity to bleed a lot of the poison out of their wounds.

And this also means that they were with each other after the fighting and the poison bleeding happened, for that tired, worn stage that comes afterwards and leads to healing. Because they're all each other has to lean on at the moment, they've said all they need to say, and they still need to rely on each other to get back to Cang Qiong (and to their preferred sex). I think this is the part where the bonding really started, because the masks were finally and fully down, and they could properly get to know each other.

I like to think that Yue Qingyuan has a mean streak to him, from the days he had to survive in the street; the 'perfect older brother figure' image he presents does have a lot of truth to it, but he's had a lot of pressure on him to be perfect, with this necessity being enforced when he tried to rush with his sword, so I think there's more under there that he's been keeping to himself for years. And I think Tianlang-jun likes this aspect when he learns of it, due to both his demonic and M tendencies. Which I think would be a relief for Yue Qingyuan to experience, to finally drop that mask and have his full self be accepted out of hand (even if it is only because Tianlang-jun initially is still working through his massive load of justifiable trust issues regarding cultivators).

As for Yue Qingyuan, I think he enjoys parts of Tianlang-jun's shamelessness, especially when it comes to affection. He has some limits to what he's willing to do in public, but this man has been affection-starved for decades, and I think he'd enjoy having a partner as openly and ardently devoted as Tianlang-jun can be, and would be happy to be able to return that affection with just as much openness. I feel like Tianlang-jun's vibe when he's in love is some variation of, "Listen, I know first hand how strong you are, and that's really hot, but also let me spoil you like a pampered little miss sometimes, okay?" Yeah, it's embarrassing sometimes, and they probably have some arguments over how much is too much, but overall I think he enjoys having a partner who's so over the top and overt in his affections.

As for Tianlang-jun, Yue Qingyuan's probably pretty different from Su Xiyan (I tend to see her written as being something of a spitfire who takes no crap from anyone (which, good for her)), much quieter and steadier. Willing to push back or stand his ground (post Life-Changing Field Trip, anyways), but generally still giving off that perfect serene immortal cultivator vibe. Which makes it all the more fun that he's willing to drop the act when they're alone together and be more open with his emotions and frustrations. I imagine the level of trust he's willing to place is Tianlang-jun is also kind of heady, and that our demon emperor enjoys how intense and low-key obsessive Yue Qingyuan can be in his love.

I also like the idea that, once they're married, they take turns playing at trophy husband, depending on whose place they are. Both for fun, and for how they balance being the respective heads of the demon realm and Cang Qiong Sect. They aren't the head of the demon realm or Cang Qiong sect when at their husband's house, just the man who their husband married.

Also, they both have really massive bedrooms. Overtly because they're such important, powerful men. Actually because they both have so much cave-related trauma, including a certain amount of claustrophobia.

Also also, all this means that, at some point, Binghe's going to have to deal with the fact that Sect Boss Yue's his stepdad, and I think that's beautiful.

About shen qingqiu saving liu qingge and his whole plan starts and ends at "someone who can help save me" (because he doesn't see these people as people yet, they're still just characters and he's a Hella unreliable narrator who bends over backwards not to have feelings wow) and liu qingge DOES! HE DOES HIS BEST he helps clear shen qingqiu's meridians, whenever shen qingqiu calls for him he SHOWS UP [sobs] like, liu qingge transforms from a tragic noble warrior who died before his time, for a story that has no place for him, someone who exists entirely for his sister (he's beautiful because his sister needs to be beautiful he's powerful so his sister can be powerful, he's killed off so his sister has motivation (LOVE that liu qingge is the dead woman trope btw) his death is placed at the hands of shen qingqiu so his sister can kick off the story's arc....) who's chronological first act in the story is pointing out the protagonist, whom he is always compared to! To a man desperately (unknowingly) trying to find his place in a story that has no room for him.

His sister doesn't need him for motivation any longer because Luo binghe isn't interested in her. He no longer serves the narrative purpose he was supposed to have. And he can't even serve the narrative purpose he's trying to fill because there is simply no room.... in the story. For him.

He's not anyone's fated soul mate, he no longer has a narrative purpose, he isn't a lead, he isn't a love interest. The things he does do... he finds shen qingqiu's fans, he clears shen qingqiu's meridians, he flies shen qingqiu around, he spends years fighting against a demon lord to retrieve shen qingqiu's body but like.... you could cut those pieces out pretty easily. From the story. Because he's not supposed to be there.

I can see LBH being super charming to Alfred because this is Shizun's dad! He has to make a good impression! Alfred appreciates that there is now SOMEONE in the house willing to help with housework. Meanwhile, SQQ has to arrange for ID and a cover story for LBH. Tabloids hitting the scene going, "Bruce Wayne is GAY?!" after pictures of LBH holding hands with Bruce are taken. (LBH is angling for a second wedding).

Asdfghjkl yes!! He takes three seconds to see that Alfred is nothing like tlj and immediately sets out to Get Future Parent In Law's Approval, something he's never gotten to do before. He is going to get the best score possible.

On the other side, Alfred would probably take a little longer, given this huge demon emperor materialised out of nowhere, completely took over his son's time and attention to the point he's neglecting his WE duties, and attempted to take over his kitchen.

Of course Darling Protagonist Mode wears him down quickly, especially when Alfred realises that lbh is very skilled in getting Bruce to eat, rest, and even sleep regularly! It's a miracle! Lbh loses most of the remaining intimidation points when he's seen reciting washing machine instructions under his breath as he hauls armfuls of the kids' clothes down the corridor, an apron over his inner robes and a towel tying his hair out the way. They agree to share recipes - sqq has favourites from both dimensions now, so all the better to team up! Lbh is beyond delighted to discover that chocolate does exist here!

How did you knowwwww a second marriage was my end goal? Everyone involved is delighted - the kids get their dad permanently and publicly off the market (not like he ever realised he was on it, really), league members get to attend their friend's wedding and eat expensive snacks (superman's heart is aching but its fine :)), Alfred gets to see his son get married after all this time - and to such a good lad, and of course bingqiu themselves are pulling out all the bells and whistles for the Event Of The Century. As part of the deal with system, the peak Lords get to attend as well, and the clash of cultures is very entertaining (lqg, yqy and Clark discover a fellow in each other and get on swimmingly, much to the others surprise). Lbh made sure to put the joker out of commission for the event, earning the kids respect. Damien is ring bearer and by rao he is going to be The Best Possible One Ever (reminding sqq of when lbh was little) (he cries a bit).

Someone shared this picture in a Xena’s Sapphic appreciation post in Twitter. I saw this and immediately though (besides “DAMN! LUCY LAWLESS, my first crush”) that this position is very very Qinghua style, and I couldn’t stop, my hand slipped and I did something kinda stupid

So imagine after Qinghua is taken back to An Ding after being discovered by other disciplines after the Mobei-Jun debacle. The poor guy is tired, scared and with his mental stability hanging from a thin tread while thinking in the furious and wounded demon he just abandoned behind.

PL:“Qinghua! Where are your other mission mates?” (We all know that Peak Lord was either very distracted or he really didn’t give a fiddle, if he allowed Qinghua everything he did through the novel while being a discipline)

SQH: Dead…I guess? I don’t know! I don’t care. Look I survived, what else do I care? They left me there to fight the demon, I escaped by the skin of my teeth!!!

And that would be one of his main poses through the whole story.

Sentient Qing Jing peak au idea.

As spiritual cultivators, the peak Lords of Qing Jing peak often let some of their Qi bleed into the surrounding mountain. Eventually, it became sentient.

The next Peak Lord isn't only chosen by the previous one, they also need approval from the peak itself (learned after the short and very accident prone reign of one Peak Lord).

The peak saw SJ, a boy who prefered to sit and meditate or read in the quiet of its bamboo forest. A nice change from the stuck up noble born brats who prefered luxury to nature. It immediately decided that this child was his.

People claim that SJ fights dirty, but in reality, the peak does not appreciate others bullying its child. LQG, YQY, and QQQ are frequent victims of random falling branches and tripping on roots.

The Qing Jing peak must still really like Yue Qingyuan to still let the sect leader go bother Shen Jiu so much with requests for tea. (Maybe the peak is trying to matchmake between the two while also acting like an evil mother-in-law to Yue Qingyuan by tripping him up with tree roots so often.)
