hi lay! could i please get the sfw alphabet for yuri? i love your work!!! have a nice day!! 💕
sfw alphabet. | yuri
-> Pairing: Yuri x GN!Reader
-> Genre: Fluff, SFW Alphabet
-> Warnings: None
-> A/N: i just wanted to say i’m so so so so close to 1.2k followers and i’m so excited i love having so many of y’all supporting me ♡︎
Tumblr media
A -> Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)
yuri is not affectionate in the beginning. it takes him a long time to warm up and get truly comfortable and fully trusting with you, so he still kind of has his walls up at the beginning of your relationship.
as it progresses, he gets a little more open in private, but there are some days where yuri just doesn’t want affection
B -> Begin (How did the relationship begin?)
you two were flirting MASTERS bruh
the tension in the monastery was unreal from the moment you two met. at first it wasn’t really serious, instead just trying to fluster the other, but eventually you gained some genuine feelings and he did too. yuri never really actually asked you out, it just kind of happened one day
C -> Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How do they cuddle?)
yuri’s kind of temperamental when it comes to cuddling. he doesn’t mean to be, but some days just aren’t cuddling days.
growing up, yuri didn’t get the affection he needed after being adopted. a sudden onslaught of affection and cuddling sometimes gets really overwhelming for him and he just needs to chill for a bit
D -> Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How good are they at cooking and cleaning?)
yuri’s never really thought about settling down. if you don’t want to settle down, he won’t either. if you do, he’ll consider it. to him, his work in the abyss never ends. he doesn’t want to “settle”, because to him, settling down means that his work is done.
E -> Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)
unfortunately, yuri would pull some shit out of his ass like he did in the ashen wolves route. he’d come up with some lie as to why he’s breaking up with you and make you hate him so that it’s a little easier for him. newsflash, it’s never easier
F -> Fiancé(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quickly would they want to get married?)
yuri is definitely not going to jump at the chance of marriage, but he’d be willing to sit down and talk with you about it. after you’d been together for a long time, of course
he’s good with commitment, like exceptionally good, which is why i don’t think that he believes marriage is necessary. what’s the point other than earning a new last name? you love him and he loves you, he doesn’t think that there needs to be some big ceremony to know that
but if you’re adamant about it, he won’t be against it. as long as the wedding ceremony isn’t too big
G -> Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)
physically, yuri is very gentle. he’s kind of awkward at first, not knowing what to do, so he’s lowkey kind of scared of doing the wrong thing. everything he does is done with precision and care to make sure that you’re comfortable and happy
emotionally, it takes him a while to be a little less... closed off. yuri is blunt and brutally honest, preferring not to sugar coat things or get caught up in sweet pleasantries. he has to realize that sometimes, those things can be taken as mean and the last thing he wants to do is be mean to you. showing you his soft side comes slowly, but it’s worth it when he does.
H -> Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)
hugs are reserved for the small, fleeting private moments that the two of you get alone
they’re loose, with his arms draped around your waist and yours resting on his shoulders as he smiles down at you, talking sweet nothings in a hushed voice
I -> I Love You (How fast do they say the L-word?)
yuri’s love language is definitely not words of affirmation
it’s acts of service but that’s not what this letter is about
yuri doesn’t say i love you often. you’re the one to say it first, and even then, it’s a little hard for him to get out. it’s not that he doesn’t love you, because trust me, he does, it’s just that it’s such a vulnerable thing that caught him completely off guard when you said it.
he does say it back, though, muffled into the crown of your hair as he holds you in the middle of the night
J -> Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)
to get yuri jealous is to accomplish the impossible
to even consider you as his s/o, yuri has to have an enormous amount of trust in you. he has faith that you won’t ever betray him
but if he does, somehow, get jealous, it’s kind of funny to watch. he’ll just casually walk up to whoever you’re talking to and join in on the conversation, making sure to butt in and interrupt the guy. he just wants to make the dude super duper frustrated, and it works.
K -> Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)
super fiery and possessive, and yet unsure at the same time. yuri’s so passionate about you and loves you a lot, but he’s always on the cautious side, making sure that you’re comfy and okay
he love love love loves to kiss the crown of your head, especially as he’s holding you against his chest. it makes him feel like he’s protecting you
kiss his neck and chest!! please! he absolutely melts, even if it’s just cute lil loving sfw kisses
L -> Little Ones (How are they around children?)
yuri is very very good with kids. he’s like a hero to the children in the abyss, so he’s got a lot of practice. he loves to sit with them and tell them stories. his most popular is about a robin hood-esque character who somehow managed to get the most beautiful, sweetest person in the world to fall in love with him. that story makes you blush every time.
M -> Mornings (How are mornings spent with them?)
mornings together aren’t too often, but they’re not as scarce as they would be with felix. yuri’s day starts bright and early and he’d like it if yours did too. he’d love to wake up and spend like five minutes with you, but if you’re not an early bird he’d understand
if you’re still asleep by the time he wakes up, he’ll lay on his side and just admire you for a bit, running his fingers through your hair and just looking at you before giving you a kiss on the forehead and getting up to start his day.
N -> Nights (How are nights spent with them?)
nights with yuri kind of depend on his mood
as said in earlier headcanons, there are times when yuri just doesn’t want to be touched. those nights, you both just lay side by side and talk about different things
on nights that he’s comfortable with cuddling, he often will lay facing you and will hold you to his chest, his chin resting on your head as he rubs small circles into your back, still talking about the day and future plans
O -> Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything at once or wait to reveal things slowly?)
even years into your relationship with yuri, you’re still learning things. it’s usually menial things that he doesn’t deem necessary for someone to know, but you’re still learning.
it’s not that yuri doesn’t trust you, because he does, it’s just that he’s not an open person. he doesn’t find talking about his past beneficial for anyone, so he just doesn’t do it.
he will confide in you about his real name right after you get together, though, asking you to never use it again after that.
P -> Patience (How easily angered are they?)
yuri is very slow to anger. sure, he gets frustrated at times, but he’s never one to show such negative emotions. if someone sees that they’re getting to him, that’s a weakness that he just doesn’t want people to see.
he wouldn’t really ever get mad at you, i wish i could elaborate more on that but yuri’s just really tolerant and you don’t really do anything to make him mad anyways??
Q -> Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)
yuri remembers big things like your birthday or other significant facts, but sometimes he has to be reminded of smaller things like your mother’s father’s dog’s cousin’s name. he remembers most things is what i’m trying to say
R -> Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)
yuri likes to remember the day he realized that you were the one. he was very stressed that day because the abyssians were getting nervous about rumors of an impending attack from thieves and he was struggling calming them all down
you jumped right into the chaos when you saw what was happening and quickly began soothing the abyssians as well, rallying them up and improving their morale just in case they actually would have to defend their home again
yuri’s heart swelled as he realized that you truly cared about his people and his home as much as he did
S -> Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)
yuri’s quite protective, but in a secretive way. he’s not really... out there. he chooses to watch you from the corner of his eye when you’re in the same room or fight close to you when you’re in battle, only swooping in to save the day when you absolutely need it.
that’s how he’d prefer to be “protected” as well, just don’t call it protected because the great yuri leclerc does NOT need protection according to him. don’t be overbearing, let him handle things and only really come in when he absolutely needs it.
T -> Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, etc?)
yuri would definitely try to make special days special, but he wouldn’t do much in terms of physical gifts. instead, he’d make you take a day off from duties and treat you to a tea party or a trip to the sauna and such
U -> Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)
yuri will always always always struggle with leaning on you for support. he’s used to being the big, lone wolf leader who doesn’t need anybody and that won’t change easily.
V -> Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks? Do your looks bother them?)
yuri is naturally a beauty, so he doesn’t really try with his looks. even if he doesn’t really think he’s that much of a catch, he doesn’t bother to make himself one either.
your looks don’t bother him at all. he likes you for your personality, loyalty, strength, and all those things. it’s just a plus that you’re exceedingly attractive
W -> Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)
i’m sorry, reader, but if he did feel incomplete without you, he sure as hell would be good at showing it. yuri’s spent his life only being close to three other people while everyone else has betrayed or left him. he’s got walls up for a reason and if you left, he’d easily be able to shut those feelings out and put the walls back up again
X -> Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)
yuri snorts when he laughs too hard it’s just a proven fact. he gets super embarrassed when he does and makes you swear not to tell anyone, but it’s so cute and funny and makes you both laugh ten times harder
Y -> Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, in general or in a partner?)
if you don’t care about the abyss or are really selfish, that’s a no. yuri has two number one priorities; you and the abyss. he’d appreciate it if you at least just cared a little about it, yk? that’s his home
Z -> Zzz (What’s a sleep habit of theirs? Does it change around a partner?)
in addition to snorting when he laughs, yuri also makes little noises when he sleeps. they’re usually just small hums or little mumbles, but once you had a conversation with him while he was dead asleep

Running with the Wolves [4]
masterlist ; << | >>
-> Pairing: Yuri Leclarc x Fem!Reader
-> Modern!Au | Gang!Au | Enemies to Friends to Lovers
-> Word Count: ~1.3k
-> Warnings: Cursing, Inappropriate Jokes
-> Summary: You were just a normal college student, trying to find her way in a new place. You didn't mean to get caught up in the wrong crowd. You just wanted coffee, but now you're running with the wolves.
a/n: i actually lost my taglist and idk if the people on the previous chapters still want to be on it! so please, please, please, if you were on the original taglist and still want to be notified- or if you’re new and want to be notified of new chapters- send me an ask, a message, or a reply! these are the only two i can remember who wanted to be on it.
Tumblr media
You were never a morning person. The idea of waking up before 9 was a nightmare to you- even 9 was a little too early for your liking.
When you woke up early for classes, you were grumpy. You had an attitude with everyone who approached you, even Ellie. Everyone knew not to mess with you in the mornings.
But here, standing in Yuri's bedroom at 7:30am, you had no place to get an attitude.
Hapi was knelt at the bedside, carefully helping her injured leader sit up. He winced slightly with every movement, obviously not wanting to show weakness in front of his teammates. Unfortunately for Yuri, though, his members weren't idiots. Even you could see the flinches and tight breaths that he harbored in his chest every time he had to move and quite frankly, it was pitiful.
Hiram's eyes hadn't left you from the moment you entered Yuri's room where they all had congregated. Hapi insisted on wrapping Yuri's bandage first to reach you what do you. You were thankful- you'd never played nurse before. Especially not to a gunshot wound.
The room was quiet. Tense. You could feel everyone's weariness as Yuri slowly laid back in the bed, once more hiding his pain. Hapi patted the blankets and stood up, facing you.
"If the wound starts bleeding again, reinforce it with some dry bandages. Don't take it off if it's not bleeding. If it is, don't take it off until it's done bleeding. Yuri's had enough wounds, unfortunately, so he can help you gauge those things. We cleaned the dirt and shit out last night, so you shouldn't have to worry too much about cleaning it. Just- don't run off again. Please."
You heard the exasperation in her voice and nodded. Rhys held his hand out to you- in it, a small flip phone. You took it cautiously, still not forgetting how the silent man sliced you yesterday, and fiddled with the piece of technology.
"It's a burner phone. We'll call you after visiting both the Blue Lions and Golden Deer to give an update. Afterwards, destroy it. If you need to contact us, there's one number in the contacts list. Text it and just say the code "9653". We'll call back on a public phone. Do not use any specific words that could give away anything. Be subtle in case someone's listening. I'm smart enough to figure out what you're saying." Hiram explained.
Sensing how you absolutely refused to look at, or even acknowledge, Hiram's presence, Hapi continued. "We're about to leave. This is your last chance to redeem yourself, so we hope that you'll make the right decision. Remember, Y/N, we're not going to hurt you."
You nodded, eyes flickering to Yuri's frame. He seemed almost child-like laying in the large king bed, his eyes half-lidded as he listened to his members speak. He met your gaze and you quickly looked away, watching as the Wolves filed out of the room.
Hapi placed her hand on your shoulder. "Yuri's a little difficult to get along with, but he has good intentions. Take care of him."
"Yeah!" Hiram cackled from the hallway, "Make it up to him. Make him some breakfast, give him some head- OW!"
Hapi shook her head. "There's plenty of food in the fridge. Don't order take-out, don't have any form of outside communication besides us. Don't go looking for your phone either, Hiram destroyed it."
"Wait- he what?!" You called out, but they were gone. The house was silent after Hapi had locked the doors completely. You turned to Yuri, who was still glaring at you. "Do you want breakfast?"
"I'd like to be with my team."
Your lips pulled into a tight line and you sighed, sitting on the edge of the bed. "Alright, I'm sorry." When he quirked an eyebrow, you explained. "I- I didn't mean to shoot you. I was scared, and I meant for it to be just a warning shot. My hands were shaking and I didn't even aim. I didn't want to hit anyone."
Yuri stayed quiet, still analyzing your form as you played with your fingers. He looked rather cute, laying there with the soft comforter stopping just below his nose. Only his eyes and the top of his head peaked out, making him seem like a pouting child. A pouting child with a gun and years of combat experience, but a child nonetheless.
"I want pancakes."
☆ ☆ ☆
Hapi was right- there were an abundance of ingredients in the kitchen of the house, ready for you to use. But there was just one problem.
You had no clue how to make pancakes.
Flour, eggs, butter, and baking powder sat on the counter, untouched by your hands as you wracked your brain. You didn't have a phone to look up a recipe. Hiram would probably kill you if you used one of his computers. The flip phone was for emergencies only, and definitely didn't have any pancake recipes hidden in the notes section.
You sighed, deciding to grab a few measuring cups. Then, you stared at the ingredients again. While lost in your thoughts, you failed to notice a certain purple-haired asshole limping into the kitchen and plopping himself down at the table. He watched you for a moment.
"You know you actually have to cook, right? Pancakes don't just make themselves while you watch."
"Fuck-" You jumped and whipped around, the measuring cup flying out of your grip and landing on the floor. "What are you doing up? You need to be resting."
"Do you even know how to make pancakes?"
Your eye twitched. He was ignoring your questions. "I- Of course I do! Now go back to bed before your wound reopens. How did you even get up, anyways? Not even twenty minutes ago you were struggling to sit up."
"I'm a miracle boy. Now, make pancakes."
You huffed and faced your mess again. In a wild guess, you grabbed the measuring cup once more and reached for the milk carton. Two cups should be okay, right?
"You're doing liquids first? Interesting. That's not how my mother taught."
"Then tell me, Yuri, how did your mother make pancakes?" You seethed through your teeth.
The man only grinned and leaned his cheek against his palm. "I'm glad you asked. There's no harm in admitting you're clueless. First, do the dry ingredients. Flour, baking powder, all of that."
You're a dry ingredient, you bit back from saying. Yuri might not be in good shape to fight if you launched yourself at him from across the kitchen, but you didn't miss the glint of the handgun that rested against his hip. The same one you had used to shoot him.
“Now put in the eggs and milk and shit.” Yuri gave you more measurements and ingredients and soon enough, you had pancakes on a plate and were serving them to the charity case that sat across from you at the table. He was quiet as he ate, and to you the tense silence was unbearable. You had to break it.
“These are good- you said your mom taught you how to make them like this? What was she like?” You flinched at the look Yuri gave you, immediately regretting asking.
“She was the one person in my life who I could just be myself around. Not Yuri, the leader of the Ashen Wolves, not Yuri, the man who’s killed more than his members combined, just Yuri, her son. My mom was the best woman to ever exist.” He spoke intensely, and you could see just how much he loved her.
“Was?”
“She- she’s missing.” Yuri closed his eyes and placed his fork down, standing up. “I’m going back to bed. Uh, thanks.”
You nodded and began gathering the plates together, bringing them to the sink to wash them. You were fully aware that Yuri had stopped in the doorway and was observing you as you cleaned. He cleared his throat.
“And Y/N. Just so you know, none of us chose this life. We’re all in the Wolves for a reason. We’ve all got our own goals and plans. Don’t be quick to judge.”

EUNNNN I LOVE YOU IT'S BEEN SO LONG SINCE WE LAST TALKED SO I HAD TO REMIND YOU 💖💖💖💖 also can I request hcs of Yuri and Sylvain with a reader who's energetic and happy-go-lucky? You're doing awesome!!
happy-go-lucky [yuri • sylvain]
a/n: gender neutral yall 😘
ʕ•̫͡•ʕ•̫͡•ʔ•̫͡•ʔ•̫͡•ʕ•̫͡•ʔ•̫͡•ʕ•̫͡•ʕ•̫͡•ʔ•̫͡•ʔ•̫͡•ʕ•̫͡•ʔ•̫͡•ʔ
yuri
being with a person like you really made yuri realize how different yet same you two were
he's so constantly hyperaware and alert of everything--it's his trademark that he doesn't go in bouts he has a chance of losing in
yet here you were, living life to the fullest and taking any chance or bet because why not
it taught both of you to be carefree and be alert respectively, growing positively together
after all, life in itself is a game of balance
and nothing really balances better than complete opposites (in a good way)
also, you really give him bursts of energy he really needs
yuri may seem fine on the outside, but he's tired. really tired.
protecting abyss is one of the most difficult jobs with no actual pay, yet yuri is dedicating his everything to it
you being so energetic and happy and supportive really lets him get through the day easier
and multiplies his ever growing love for you and only you
sylvain
sylvain first saw you as an easy target to dump later--famous fucking last words LMAO
you knew what kind of shit you were going into, and when sylvain suddenly shifted into a very distant person, you expected as much
you decided to take your chances, and it's time to face the crap that came along
it surprised the living shit out of sylvain seeing you treating him absolutely normally, and being your beautiful, energetic self
then, it hit him
that you knew that this was going to happen, yet you let it happen anyway and enjoyed the brief bliss to the fullest
which made him fall head over heels for you
in a relationship, he'd reflect your energy right back at you, and be even happier
and there are more difficult days where sylvain breaks his usual flirty façade and becomes his true self
and even then, you remained the same--the brightest star in his night sky that gave him hope wherever he went
and he will for sure cherish it for the rest of his days

"Fuck- She's losing too much blood, Boss, she's not gonna make it!"
"No, no. She's going to make it- I'll make sure of it. Stay alive!"
Your vision was dark and blurry- you couldn't quite see anything. You could only make out a few silhouettes hovering above you, each one rushing around and yelling frantically. You couldn't count how many were there. Your vision kept doubling and it was hard to discern one person from three. Focusing just caused things to get worse.
"Someone put pressure on the damn wound! She certainly won't make it if you all keep messing around."
It was only now that you noticed a sharp pain radiating from your chest, right below your ribs. You gasped loudly and coughed. It hurt worse than the throbbing that already coursed through your head. Your body burned.
Trying to look down, you saw a rag soaked in blood. Hands with bright nails pressed down on your wound to slow the flow, but it didn't seem to be helping. You started feeling dizzy and laid back again, clenching your eyes tight as nausea engulfed you.
"No, keep your eyes open, Y/N, dammit! Wake up!"
Slowly, the pain began fading, as did your view of the people above you and their voices. You could still barely hear the voice crying, sobbing out your name. Whoever they were, they were crushed.
"Wake up!"
Was that voice finally fading away too?
"Wake up!"
No- it was getting louder.
"Wake up!"
"Ellie, what the fuck do you want?" You groaned, rolling over on your bed.
Your roommate bounced on her knees, making your bed creak loudly. "What do you mean? It's like 10am, your class is at 11. Don’t talk to me with that tone of voice."
"Fuck me."
"Absolutely not, baby." Ellie smacked a pillow beside you and got up. "Get ready!" She went to her own room, leaving you to your own devices.
When you applied for an apartment roommate, Ellie was certainly not the one you were expecting. You would've preferred a chill, laid-back, person. Instead, Eleonora Yumizuru walked into your life (and apartment) and practically made herself at home. She didn't judge you from transferring so far away from your old home for your last year of college, claiming that "home roots don't mean shit when it comes to making it in the real world".
She had the right to say such a thing, having moved to Fodlan from another country in her youth. She was able to understand the occasional homesickness and help you cope as you adjusted to Fodlan life. She understood you like the back of her hand from the moment you met and you did the same for her.
Really, you had to let her move in. She’d probably have stayed even if you rejected her.
She was the complete opposite of what you were looking for- overconfident, stubborn, loud- but she grew on you and easily became your best friend. There was just something about the bubbly, blue-eyed, blonde-bobbed bitch that hooked you.
She had certainly hooked other people as well, but thank God her bedroom is on the other side of the apartment. Her social skills and magnetic personality worked for platonic friends and acquaintances as well. Ellie was constantly bringing over friends, allowing you to expand your own circle. She was heaven-sent for a newbie like you.
You sat up from your bed, yawning and stretching. Trudging to your bathroom, you rolled your eyes as the infamous Taylor Swift blared through Ellie's speakers, "Shake it Off" shaking the entire apartment. Nothing against T. Swift, but sometimes she was not the first thing you want to hear when you wake up. At least not at max volume. Ignoring the song switching to "You Belong With Me" -another banger from Swift herself, but really "Teardrops on My Guitar” was your favorite- you finished getting ready and lazed into Ellie's room.
"I've got class 'till late today." You sat on her bed. "Do you want me to pick up dinner? It’ll let me explore the area."
"Oh, please do. You need to get out more. But where?"
You shrugged. "There's really only like two good food places here. Golden Pizza and Blue Lion Buffet. Your choice."
Ellie thought for a moment. "I went to the buffet with my little friend Touma the other day... so pizza! I just can't choose a side in their little spat."
"Spat?" You tilted your head.
"Goodness, Y/N! I know you're a little new here, but you haven't even heard of the shit that goes on between those restaurant owners?"
Shaking your head, you stayed silent for her to continue.
"The owners of Blue Lion Buffet, Eagle's Freezery, and Golden Pizza are all huge rivals. I heard they were all close, but went their separate ways. All the owners' kids are our age, too. They go to Fodlan Uni, but I don't know who they are." She smiled. "I am an esteemed woman with an upcoming high status. Who would I be to take sides? I prefer to cater to them all."
You could only nod, hiding a smirk at Ellie’s infatuation of fame. A huge restaurant rivalry. How funny. "What about that little cafe on the corner? What's it called? Café des Loups?"
"They're pretty neutral, just some college dropouts trying to make some money. I think they’re gonna get involved eventually- every restaurant’s been dragged into their drama at least once."
You nodded, standing up and messing with your apartment keys. "I'll keep that in mind. Bye, Ellie!"
"Bye! I better see some pizza later!" She called as you made your way out of the apartment, now playing "I Knew You Were Trouble".

College was honestly a scam.
You sat in the classes for two hours at a time, for what? You were paying thousands of dollars to be talked at by old dusty men who made you fall asleep faster than trying to read their overpriced textbooks. You paid thousands to nap at a desk.
Unfortunately for you, though, your thousand dollar desk nap was interrupted by a tapping on the surface. You huffed and looked up, coming face to face with a pair of soft, orange eyes. They radiated kindness and just looking into them seemed to lift your mood immediately.
"Hey, you need to wake up for this part. The professor said there's gonna be a quiz on this section tomorrow."
You shot up, looking back at your professor. Blushing embarrassedly, you smiled at the boy. "Thank you..."
"Ferdinand." He drew his bottom lip in between his teeth, as if to conceal his smile, before giving up and returning yours just as brightly.
As you faced forward to Professor Hanneman, as you were pretty sure his name was- or was it Ham Man? You didn’t care enough to know- you were now struggling with two distractions. One, the weight of your eyelids as they threatened to pull you back into dreamland. Two, Ferdinand.
You kept glancing at him, taking in his complexion. He must have come to class late, since you didn't see him before. Or maybe he was on time- you did fall asleep quite early into the lecture.
You were eyeing his carefully sculpted jawline, dotted with subtle stubble that connected to sideburns and led up to clean, silky, orange hair. You wished to run your fingers through it-
"Y/N, this is the second time I've seen you not paying attention." You jumped nearly three feet in the air. "Next time, I'll have to ask you to leave my class since you are obviously taking it as a joke."
"I-I'm not joking! Sorry!" You stuttered, finally finding a reason to keep your attention on the lecture. You did look away once, just to glare at Ferdinand, who only winked and chuckled at your misfortune.
Class was eventually over and you sighed, finally loosening up from forcing yourself to pay attention. You packed your notebook and laptop and swung your backpack on, getting ready to leave the room before a voice called to you.
You turned back. "Ferdinand?"
"I was simply wondering where your next class was. I can walk you to it, if you'd like." Said boy walked quickly towards you, holding himself with a nearly-perfect posture. You felt anxious- he was trying to make himself seem like a gentleman, but you still felt a little unnerved.
"Oh, um, sure! It's not for another fifteen minutes, but it is across campus."
Ferdinand's grin seemed to get larger, making his eyes crinkle at the edges. "How wonderful! That little café is down there and I've been meaning to check it out anyways. It works out perfectly."
"Uh, yeah." You laughed nervously. This was the first time a boy had taken interest in you- or was he really interested? Maybe he's just being nice-
"Also, before I forget. May I get your number? I'd like to talk to such a gorgeous woman like you a little more."
Oh, he was so interested. You had to make yourself breathe again as you handed him your phone to let him put his number in. He gave it back to you and you noticed a heart and a smiley face emoticon next to his contact name. Your heart fluttered at the sight of the emojis and you felt your cheeks heat up a bit. Ferdinand gave you a sweet smile before holding the door open for you, letting you lead the way to your next class.
On the way to the building, Ferdinand spent the time asking you questions and getting to know you better. He had scratched basically the entire surface of you, save for the secrets that new people shouldn't know, and the same could be said for you. Ferdinand was definitely a polished and refined man. He made quite the impression on you.
"What are you doing after classes?" You asked, hoping to invite him for pizza at your apartment.
"Ah, I've got work!" He smiled sheepishly. He definitely caught onto your hopes...
"Really? Where? Maybe after, you could stop by for some Golden Pizza-"
"Actually, I work at the Eagles Freezery." He was tense, suddenly. "So I really shouldn't. Rivalry and all of that, you know?"
You were a little confused, actually. "Why would that prevent you from hanging out for a bit? You didn't buy it, I did. Plus I thought the rivalry was only between the buffet and the pizza place?”
"It's- it's a loyalty thing. It’s between all three of us.”
"It's a restaurant. How loyal could you possibly be to a dumb little ice cream parlor-"
"It's more than that!" Ferdinand snapped his mouth closed, suddenly making himself quiet after his angry outburst. "Listen, I cannot and will not eat there, look at it, talk about it, or do literally anything about it. Please, just understand that."
"Uh, yeah." You nervously readjusted your backpack on your shoulder. "I- I should get to class now. I'll see you later, Ferdinand."
"Goodbye, I'll message you after work!" With that, he sent you a wink and a smile and turned, going about his own day with the most carefree pep in his step. As if nothing ever happened. You, on the other hand, could not have been more confused. Ferdinand seemed unpredictable when it came to his moods. He was comforting and kind, yet was so… upset when you insulted the parlor. It was a restaurant. Why did he get so worked up about it? Maybe Ellie was right about it being such a big deal.
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
“I just ordered! Go, go, I’m starving!”
Not even five minutes after you got out of your last class, Ellie was calling to remind you about dinner. You were still slightly unnerved from your encounter with Ferdinand, but you agreed to pick it up and would never hear the end of it if you didn’t do something as simple as takeout.
Golden Pizza was only about two blocks away and you stayed on the phone with your roommate the entire time, only saying goodbye as you walked in the establishment. The restaurant was very nice, the honey yellow walls and the glow of the wood-fired oven making the ambience warm and welcoming. You didn’t wait long in the line, soon coming up to meet a boy about your age with a glimmering emerald gaze and a smile just as bright at the front counter.
“Hi!” The boy- Claude, according to his nametag- greeted, “How can I help you?”
“I’m just picking up an order for Eleonora Yumizuru.”
Claude nodded and typed a few things into a computer at the counter. “I know Ellie! She and I had Stats together before she dropped out to pursue her acting career. She’s certainly something.”
“Oh, definitely. I’m her roommate.” Speaking of the devil, your phone vibrated in your pocket. It was a message from her. “She actually just messaged me. Wants me to bring her a dumb little lemonade from that cafe.”
Claude laughed, “You can go and get it now, if you’d like. Your pizza will be a few more minutes. Ellie set the time for your pickup for later, so you’re actually ten minutes early.”
You thanked him and left, walking to the cafe. You took your time, observing the shops around you. Across the street from Golden Pizza stood the Blue Lion Buffet. You smiled to yourself- what a cliche to have rivals across from each other. Beside the pizza parlor was another food shop, the Eagles Freezery. You thought about Ferdinand- he said he was working today. Maybe you could drop by and- No. No, Y/N. Go get your lemonade and go.
A soft bell chimed as you opened the door. You saw four people in cafe uniforms, going about their day as you approached the register.
“Welcome to our humble abode!”
“Constance, that’s only used for a home.”
You shyly waved at the so-called Constance and the pink-haired girl who corrected her. Cafe des Loups- or Cafe of Wolves- was a quaint place, quiet and not crowded, kind of like an off-brand Starbucks. Dim lights adorned the high black ceiling, illuminating the shop just enough for a comforting ambience. There was a mural of a rainforest painted on the wall to the opposite of the counter with comfortable tables and lounging areas. If you could, you’d probably waste the day away lounging around. It was the perfect environment for an introvert like you.
At this shop, a large dark-haired man controlled the register instead of Claude. As you approached the register, you noticed that he wasn’t wearing a nametag, but you had a small urge to call him Bigfoot.
“Hey! What can I get ‘cha?”
You scoured the menu. “Just two pink lemonades is fine-”
“Oh! Good choice!” Constance interrupted you, coming to stand beside the man. “Yuri-bird over there makes the best sweet lemonades!”
You followed her gaze over to a man who was sitting on a stool, slouched down and leaning his head on his hand. He stretched and stood up. “Thank God, we haven’t had many customers all day. I was starting to think we lost our appeal.”
“Of course we have not!” Constance replied. She turned to you, but you couldn’t tell whether she was still talking to Yuri or you. Maybe it was neither. “Not when someone as handsome as Yuri is making the drinks and my attractive self is greeting the customers!”
“Hey! I’m just as much of a visual as the boss-man.” The taller man joined in after taking your money. “We’re all pretty nice looking. Especially this little lady ordering~”
You blushed a bit. “Oh, please, I’m nothing special-”
“Nothing special?” Constance laid her hand against her chest. “You’re wonderful! Almost on the same level as me. Isn’t that right, Yuri-birdie?”
Yuri looked up from making your drinks, his analytical eyes seemingly boring holes into you. You shuddered, feeling like he could tell your deepest and darkest secrets from just looking at you. He shrugged, going back to the lemonades.
“She’s alright, I suppose.”
“You suppose? Yuri, that’s rude-”
Hapi was midway through lecturing the purple-haired man when the door to the shop chimed open and a rather large group came in. Yuri looked up and suddenly stood alert, as did the other three workers. In the group, you saw a familiar head of orange hair and orange eyes met yours. Your face screwed up into confusion.
“Ferdinand?”
“Don’t say anything.” The leader of the group, a short, white-haired girl snarled. “Are you a new… worker here?”
“Wh- you just told me not to say anything.”
Slowly, Yuri and the other three came up beside you, standing slightly in front. Your heart nearly stopped- you were in the middle of something you definitely weren’t supposed to be in and your sass had gotten on their bad side already. The white-haired girl scrutinized the five of you, her lavender eyes piercing holes through whatever facade of confidence you had tried to put up. You could feel yourself literally wither under her gaze, even more than you did when Yuri looked at you.
“What do you want, Edelgard?” Yuri put his hands on his hip, one fiddling with something under his shirt.
“I want your loyalty.”
Yuri snorted. “You aren’t in charge.”
“I’m not? Hm. Tell that to my father after he stepped down. I’m the leader now- the emperor, if you will.” Edelgard sighed heavily. “I have no time for more conversation if you won’t comply. Hubert, deal with them.”
The terrifying man who you assumed was Hubert suddenly reached in his coat and pulled out a handgun, aiming it at the five of you. Yuri quickly retaliated and pulled one of his own, throwing it at Constance before grabbing your wrist and running to the back. A loud gunshot rang through the air as you and Yuri continued to run. You both dodged around coffee shop equipment and he dragged you through a labyrinth that they considered the back of the store.
As you were running, Yuri pulled you to a sharp right turn and your arm scraped against a metal machine in your way. You hissed in pain and looked down at it, seeing a large wound going down your shoulder to your elbow. It was starting to bleed rather quickly, but you had no time to worry about it. You’d have time to tend to it if you survived.
“What’s happening?”
“No time to explain. Quick, hide!”
Yuri pushed you against the wall in between two larger cabinets and stood in front, grabbing yet another gun from his other hip. He cocked it, listening for the ruckus of the fight in the main room to make its way towards your location. You were shaking like a leaf, grabbing tightly onto your wounded arm and smearing blood all over your fingers and your clothes. You breathed heavily, trying to calm yourself at least a little- was this why Ferdinand had been so defensive over the Eagles Freezery? What kind of restaurant rivalry would constitute attempted murder? And wasn’t this cafe uninvolved anyways? You didn't have time to ponder any more questions as a loud crash echoed through the room. Yuri lifted his gun and began to speak lowly, not taking his eyes off of the door.
“When I say run, go out the back door and get in the black car back there. Don’t go home- one of them will find you.”
A gunshot rang through the air and Constance, Balthus, and Hapi burst through the doors, running towards you all. Yuri turned to you as the three of them caught up to him, pulling out their own weapons again as Edelgard began yelling.
“Run!”

-> A/N: hi i’m back hello this took me a little bit to do because after the action scene i simply lost motivation but it’s back i know what i want to do and i WILL do it. also, just an fyi, i, as a writer, do not condone anything that my character, Hiram Chapelle, says or does. Hiram is meant to be an ass and for gods sake he’s quite literally a psychopath. That’s how he’s written. I’m just saying for future reference because Hiram is a shitty person and I plan on keeping him that way LOL

If someone had told you, months ago, that when you moved to Fodlan, you’d be accidentally caught up in gang activity, you’d laugh in their faces.
What a silly notion, You’d nearly cry out of laughter, Fodlan is safe. Nothing happens there.
What a fool you were. Everything was too easy. Life was too simple for there not to be a catch. That’s the funny thing about the universe and her strange ways. There’s always a catch.
Your mother had said that God always tests you. That you’d know in hard times, He was just challenging you. The only thing you knew at this moment was that if God really was real, you’d like to have a few choice words with him.
Your test was only getting more difficult with each step you took. Each limp, actually. The frigid night air numbed nearly every part of your body, except for your ankle. Instead, it burned with a fiery intensity. Your shoe was tight enough to prevent a bit of the swelling, but you needed medical attention soon.
You laughed bitterly- you’d been saying that you needed help for a while now. Your arm, your ankle, and now probably a therapist. Physical and mental help were on your to-do list.
Biting back another shiver, you fumbled with your phone. The screen was black, only showing a little red battery in the middle of it. Dead.
The window you’d jumped through was in the back of the house, facing a patch of woods. In your rush, you didn’t think to run another way to get out, only pushing forward until you had no clue where you’d come from and where to go. Everything was forest. Everything was dark.
Until it wasn’t.
A flash of light shined from behind you and you gasped, running to your left and trying to hide behind a larger tree. The flashlights came closer and you held your breath.
“What doesn’t she fucking understand about you can’t leave?”
“Well, boss, you were a little rude about it-“
“She’s in danger! And she doesn’t even realize it- the seriousness of this situation. I don’t care if I’m rude or not, she’s risking her own life being this stupid.”
You resisted the urge to scoff. Yuri was definitely a rude individual from what you’ve interacted with, but of course he didn’t care.
The lights were getting even closer now. You stepped back and started to run again, ignoring the pain. You’d get help when you were safe. You tried to stay light on your feet, but couldn’t help but crush the fallen leaves under your feet as you ran.
“I hear something that way!” Constance shouted and every light flashed in your direction before the group began chasing after you.
Your heart caught in your throat as you willed your legs to work faster and faster. You’d be okay- you’ll get help when you’re safe. Lungs burning, you surged forwards still and tried to take different turns to make them lose your trail. It didn’t work.
“Y/N, stop!” Hapi yelled out.
You didn’t answer, still running. Suddenly, you were airborne. Your feet flew off the ground and you landed two feet in front of a tree root, sticking up from the ground. You were hyperventilating- they had caught up with you.
Before they could reach you, Yuri also stumbled over the root. His flashlight and handgun both flew out of his hands, skidding to a stop in a puddle of mud in front of you. You lurched forward, grabbing the gun and pointing it at the group. It was just Balthus, Hapi, Constance, and Yuri, but you still felt helpless. They could easily overpower you, but you weren’t giving up without a fight.
“Stay back!” You cried, your finger sitting shakily on the trigger, “Don’t come any closer!”
Hapi put her hands up. “We don’t want to hurt you- we want to keep you safe!”
“Keep me safe? By making me some bad guy in a gang that I never even asked to be a part of?”
Yuri scoffed and tried to step closer, but you quickly aimed the gun at him. “You think we did?”
“No more. Don’t come close, I’m warning you.” You could only utter a few words.
The leader of the Wolves ignored this, putting his hands out in front of him, “Drop the gun and this will be okay-“
“STAY AWAY!” You were screaming at this point. Everyone tried to shush you, but you couldn’t stop. Hysteria did such cruel things.
“Y/N-“
“NO!”
You closed your eyes and pulled the trigger, your arm injury hurting slightly from the recoil. Constance yelled out, grabbing onto Yuri, who seemed to fall in slow motion. Your head was spinning. Stars seemed to twinkle in the trees and bushes in front of you instead of staying in the sky like they should.
You swayed for a moment, watching the three try to help their leader. Blood seeped out of the right side of his abdomen. You tried to stay awake, but soon the gun fell out of your hand and you went limp beside it.
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
Your mind was awake before your body. You could feel the velvet sheets beneath your fingertips and smell the comforting french vanilla aroma that wafted through the Wolves’s house. It was warm- almost too warm for your comfort. Or maybe it was the fever you were running from stress.
You tried to smack your lips together, cringing when the inside of your mouth resembled that of a desert. You needed water.
Peeling your eyes open, you groaned. The lamp beside the bed was too bright, contrasting greatly against the still-dark sky. How long were you out?
You sat up on the bed, feeling sore, but brushed it off and trudged towards the door. You opened it and headed towards the stairs when you heard voices in a room across from you, two doors down.
“She’s already caused too much harm. I say we let her go and let natural selection take its course.”
You scoffed. Typical Hiram- rude ass.
“No- no. We brought her into this, the universe has basically ordered us to keep her safe. If any Eagles see her on the street, she’s done for.” Hapi reasoned.
“That might be a good thing-“
“Hiram-“
“She shot Yuri! He’s not waking up because of her!”
The silence that followed his outburst made your heart clench. You didn’t mean to actually hit him- you just meant it as a warning shot. Hell, you didn’t even know your aim was that good.
“He’s going to be fine. In the meantime, we need to contact Claude or Dimitri and see what’s happening.”
Claude? Claude, the boy at the pizza shop? You rolled your eyes. Of course he’d be a part of this- whatever this is.
“What if they’re siding with her?” Constance asked worriedly.
“Trust me, if it’s anything that Claude’s against, it’s an imbalance of power. As for Dimitri, I’m not sure.”
Your hands began to shake again and you blinked rapidly, trying to push away the looming realization that no, this wasn’t a joke, and yes, these college kids are in a fucking gang. You supposed a part of you didn’t want to believe it until now, but it crashed onto you like a bag of bricks.
These people have hurt others. Killed them. You hurt someone too- you shot a man. A man who apparently is trying to keep you safe.
Continuing to blink, this time biting back tears, you walked down the stairs into the kitchen. Grabbing a glass from the counter, you filled it up in the sink and began chugging.
One glass.
Two.
Maybe if it was alcohol, you’d feel a little better. But it wasn’t. And you didn’t.
More footsteps resounded from the stairs, making their way through the living room and into the kitchen. Hapi entered first, followed by the other four. She gave you a tight smile, choosing to mess with some papers that still rested on the kitchen table.
The papers were frenzied and unorganized- they must have really rushed out once they realized that you’d left.
Hiram walked past and bumped your shoulder rather harshly, making you spill your third glass of water down the front of your shirt. You hissed, wanting nothing more than to yank out those snowy locks of his, but he was definitely armed and no doubt dangerous. You valued your life a little too much to mess with the little man.
Eventually, the group sat down at the table and Hapi patted her hand on the wood, pointing to the empty chair across from her. “Please, Y/N, sit.”
You did so, awkwardly, clasping your hands and putting them in your lap. You didn’t want to look up, already feeling the five intense stares burn into your form.
“It seems our first little talk wasn’t as… effective as it needed to be.” The redheaded girl began. “You were seen with us in the cafe when Edelgard attacked. You let your mouth run, disrespecting her. And I can assure you right now, that the Eagles have all the details on you. Especially since one of their own seemed to recognize you. Like it or not, you’re in this now.”
Hiram snorted, leaning back on his chair and nonchalantly checking his nails. “You’re stuck with this, toots. If you didn’t want to be, you should’ve stuck behind everyone like a good little coward and let the big dogs fight over the bone. You could’ve easily been seen as a citizen and an innocent bystander, but no. Something in you said ‘hey, let’s be a bitch to these people who suddenly barged in here with guns’. If I didn’t know any better, it would seem to me like you were practically,” He leaned forward, his icy eyes boring into your own, “asking for it.”
You furrowed your eyebrows, but still kept shut. He wasn’t necessarily wrong, you could’ve easily decided to let the obviously-more-experienced people deal with it, but in your defense, you didn’t know at the time! You didn’t even think your 5 second long conversation with this Edelgard chick was as negative as they made it out to be.
Crossing your arms, you willed your face to remain stoic. “I just don’t see why she’d have it out for me. I didn’t even do anything that bad.”
“Look, look at my face.” Hiram pointed to the bridge of his nose, where a deep, pale pink scar contrasted against his skin. “Rhys and I used to be… involved with them. Her little lap dog- Ferdinand- did this. Because I made some ill-timed joke.”
You couldn’t help but glance over at Rhys, whose eyes had darkened at the mention of his past. The mention of Ferdinand’s name and his affiliation with the Eagles made you wonder about everyone’s past- how exactly did all of these people get involved with such a deadly life? You didn’t have much time to dwell on it before Balthus spoke up.
“Listen, little one, just stay here and chill out until we can a hundred percent confirm that the Eagles aren’t associating you with us. If they’re not, you’re free to go.”
“And if I am?”
“We’ll burn that bridge when we get to it.”
Everyone at the table gasped and turned around to the kitchen entrance, where the strained voice had come from. Yuri was leaned up against the door frame, holding onto his side still. His torso was bare, but the skin was covered by bandages and gauze.
The Wolves shot up out of their seats, rushing over to their leader.
“Yuri!”
“Why are you up?”
“You need rest.”
Yuri just chuckled at them, hiding a wince as his stomach contracted with the laugh. “I’m fine, I’m fine, everything’s cool. Not the first time.”
You still sat at the table, watching as they helped him sit in his place at the head before going back to their own seats. The Wolves really seemed to care about each other, you noticed, and felt a small pang of guilt for causing them so many problems already.
“So, Yuri-Bird, I was explaining to everyone earlier that our best choice of action is to contact Dimitri and Claude and see what’s happening in their little sectors of the world.” Hapi folded her hands on the table, “I know with about a 90% certainty that Claude will be against whatever Edelgard’s doing. Dimitri, I’m not so sure.”
Yuri nodded, taking in the information. “We need stronger people going to Dimitri, then, just in case he sided with her.”
“Which is why I decided that it would be best for all of us to go together. Dimitri has that one assassin with him- the Black Cat or whatever his alias is.”
“It’s Felix. I wouldn't forget the name of such a hunk of a man.” Hiram practically swooned.
Hapi rolled her eyes. “...Right. So, we start with Claude and then move on to Dimitri.”
Rhys raised his hand for a moment, making Hiram shush everyone. He said nothing, only jutting a thumb at you as if asking ‘what do we do about this chick?’ The room was quiet for a moment, then Constance clapped her hands together.
“She can stay and take care of Yuri!”
“What?” You and the previously mentioned man cried out.
He turned and glared at you. “You lot are going to entrust my healing to the same bitch that shot me? No. I’m coming with you all.”
Balthus shook his head. “She’s right, Boss. You could barely walk down here. You need to rest before you get back in the game.”
“Yeah,” Hiram began to laugh, “I’m sure Miss Girl will fix you right up. Maybe she’s better at caretaking than she is running away.”
You returned Yuri’s glare, but quickly switched it to Hiram. He lost his smile and quirked up an eyebrow, as if challenging you to say something. You didn’t.
“We leave tomorrow morning at 8 o’clock. Yuri, you sleep in. Y/N, be up early to change his bandages.”
Hapi stood and stretched, letting out a large yawn before walking out of the kitchen.
The rest of the group followed, Yuri lagging behind as Balthus helped him walk. His lavender eyes pierced into you, obviously extremely angry at you. You shuddered. You absolutely did not want to be alone with him tomorrow.
Dreading morning, you went to your room and tucked yourself back under the velvet sheets, watching the hall light turn off and listening to Hiram’s annoying voice echo throughout the walls.
“Goodnight y’all! Sweet dreams- except for the Princess, of course.”

“Run.”
In that second, Yuri began firing shots at your pursuers again. Hapi gave her gun to Balthus, who began using both his and her pistols to keep them back as well. She turned and grabbed your arm- the same one that was bleeding before recoiling.
“Who hurt you?”
“Yuri dragging me around.”
Hapi scoffed and reached for the other arm, leading you out the back door and into a small white car. She cranked the engine and backed out before you could even get buckled, narrowly missing a larger black van parked beside it. You held onto the door frame, your fingers turning white as Hapi whipped the car down a smaller, empty street.
“Why are you driving like a fucking lunatic?”
“They could easily follow us! Look behind, do you see anything?”
You turned as well as you could as Hapi made another sharp turn. “No, there’s nothing behind us.”
She slowed the car just a little bit. “Keep checking. We don’t need someone knowing where we’re going.”
You stayed turned in your seat, heart jumping out of anxiety every time you saw a random car or person pass by. “My home is the other way.”
“Wh- Oh, honey, no. They think you’re a part of us, you can’t go home.”
“What? Why not? I could just explain to them what I was doing- they’ll understand-“
“No, they won’t.” The redhead leaned her head back against the seat and bit back a sigh before mumbling to herself. “We weren’t even involved in their little spats with the other places. Why the hell would Edelgard come after us?”
You checked back one more time. “Didn't she say something about how ‘she’s the boss now’? Whatever it’s about, it’s because she’s apparently in charge or whatever. I- I just want to go home.” Your nose burned as tears filled your eyes, but you willed them to not fall. Hapi would definitely be the kind to make fun of you.
You thought back to the others- Yuri, Balthus, and Constance. Ellie had said that they were just some random college kids, making money to get by. Obviously they were more than that.
“What about the others? We just left them there.”
“They’ll be fine. They’ve had their fair share of fights. We’ll meet them back at the house.”
You could only nod and try to soothe your shaking body. Your arm still burned from the wound, but you didn’t want to look at it. Knowing the severity of it would only make it hurt worse.
Eventually, Hapi pulled into a normal looking house. It seemed inconspicuous, with a fraternity sign hanging out front to complete the “normal college kids live here” look. You shuddered. Things are not as they seem with these people, and their house for sure isn’t a normal one as well. Hapi got out of the car and scouted around it, searching the entire car before once again muttering to herself.
“... Can’t believe I forgot to look for a tracker-“
“Look who’s finally home! Hapis and- who’s this?”
Suddenly a loud, annoying voice shouted from the front door of the house. You looked up to see a new man, slowly putting down his waving hand as he saw you. From the top of the brick stairs, he looked quite tall, but as you continued to ascend, the shorter and shorter he became until he was scarcely a few inches taller than you.
“Hiram, this is Y/N. She was, uh, put in an unfortunate circumstance and had to come with us.”
His white eyebrows furrowed and he looked at Hapi confusedly before nodding. “Uh, yeah, okay. Come on in, then. Rhys is out getting takeout. What’s the circumstance?”
“Edelgard attacked the café.”
Hiram was still confused, but it was cut short as the same black van you saw earlier pulled into the open garage. Hapi motioned for the two of you to come inside, saying that Yuri would explain everything.
The house was more normal than you expected. The living room walls were painted a light blue with a couch surrounding the fireplace and a TV on top of it. The colors of that room contrasted greatly against the honey yellow walls of the kitchen, where everyone had gathered and sat at the table. You squeezed yourself between Hapi and Constance, the only other girls there.
“We should wait for Rhys-“
“There's no time.” Yuri scoffed at Hiram and leaned back on his chair. “Somehow, Edelgard took power from her father and is now the leader of the Black Eagles. I’ve yet to figure out what her plans are- attacking us, out of everyone possible- but I’m sure they aren’t good.”
You sighed and leaned against your arm, but stopped. You really, really needed medical attention for your arm. You also really, really needed to go home. You stood up.
“Okay, well, have fun with that. I’m out.”
Yuri laughed. “No, you’re not. Sit down.”
You whipped around to face him, your cheeks burning in anger. “I am! I’m going to leave this house, go to a hospital, fix my arm, and go home. I have no business here.”
You moved to leave again, but a pair of pale arms wrapped around you. One arm gripped your waist tightly as the other flicked out a knife, holding it against your neck. You tried to struggle, but the person- a tall man- tightened his hold even further. Yuri rolled his eyes.
“Easy with her, Rhys. You started having business here the minute you decided to open your stupid little mouth. Hasn’t anyone ever taught you to shut up? To think rationally in the face of danger? Did you even realize the danger you were in, or are you really just that dense?” He sneered, walking towards you. “You, Princess, have gotten yourself into a Hell of a lot of trouble. You’re right, you shouldn’t be here, but now it’s time to reap what you sow.”
You grimaced at Yuri’s close proximity and spat at him, making him stumble back and wipe his face in disgust. This caused Rhys to lift your chin with the knife, pressing down enough to leave a small cut. A trail of blood dripped down to your collarbone.
“I suggest you learn to keep your mouth shut.” Hiram laughed almost maniacally from the table. “Rhysie’s silent but deadly. Don’t mess with us.”
Said man finally let you go, pushing you back to your seat, which you took with a huff. Constance handed you a tissue from the small pocketbook she carried and you thanked her, smiling wearily.
Hapi, who had stayed silent the entire time, coughed awkwardly. “So, what’s our next move?”
Yuri shrugged. “We’re no longer neutral, obviously. But we don’t know if the Golden Deer or the Blue Lions are on our side either. Edelgard had to have had a plan when she attacked us.”
The six others sat in thought for a minute while you, on the other hand, had never been more confused. “Wait, what’s even going on? Why do restaurants kill each other?”
Hiram giggled and plucked the bloody tissue out of your hand, beginning to mess with it and look at the new stains. “You’re tellin’ me that you really thought this was just some dumb restaurant rivalry? Hah! Sweetheart, we’re gangs. Y’know. Drugs. Illegal trades. Turf wars. The usual.”
You tried to put more pieces together. “So, Edelgard’s gang is the bad guys?”
“Exactly-“
“We’re not good. None of the gangs are. Our sins are irredeemable- we’re not the good guys. Edelgard’s people aren’t the bad guys. We don’t know what’s going on right now.” Hapi cut off Hiram.
Said man snorted and ran a hand through his ponytail. “Hey, Rhys, say fuck for me.”
Rhys’s freckled skin flushed a bright red and he avoided the eye contact of everyone around. “...I can’t.” He mumbled.
“See? Rhysie’s good.”
Hapi closed her eyes and suppressed a sigh again, and you wondered what was up with her and sighing. “The next move is to wait. Maybe do a little digging in their computers and communication, but that’s Hiram’s job.”
“We’ve got to figure out something for the rat to do.She can’t just sit here and be in the way.” Yuri mused. “Housekeeping, perhaps?”
“I am not a rat!” You hissed, “You are!”
The purple haired boy only smirked. “Whatever you say, Princess. Go upstairs to the first room on the left. There’s a big stack of manila folders with profiles on the desk. Bring them back down here.”
You rolled your eyes and stood up from your seat, practically stomping your way to the wooden stairs. Opening the first door on the left, you found the folders Yuri was talking about. You reached for them, but hesitated and looked out of the window beside the desk.
It would be so easy to leave, you thought, but jumping from this height would definitely lead to a broken bone.
You committed this room to memory and grabbed the folders, taking your time down the stairs to plan an escape route if needed. You were going home, whether they liked it or not, you decided. You were close to the bottom of the steps when a paper slid out from one of the folders. It was a profile with a rather familiar looking face on it.
Yuri Leclarc, It read, Age 24. Affiliation: Ashen Wolves. Family: Father (unknown), Mother (missing).
You heard footsteps walk through the living room and you quickly snatched up the paper, stuffing it in a folder before you finished reading it all. Hiram became visible, one hand carrying a large laptop and the other, a basket of cables and other equipment. He didn’t say anything to you. Instead, he barely spared you a glance as he walked back into the kitchen. You followed.
“Here.” You huffed and slammed down the folders. Hiram was busy plugging up different cords and routers to the computer, still completely ignoring your presence.
Yuri nodded and stood, sifting through the papers before landing on one labeled “Black Eagles”. He pushed the other folders to the side and opened that one. He laid out 8 profiles, all of people around your age. You could’ve sworn you’d seen some of them around campus, but you nearly vomited as your eyes caught one certain profile.
Ferdinand von Aegir.
“It’s up and running!” Hiram’s voice knocked you out of your stupor. “A piece of art, truly!”
Constance snorted. “A piece of shit, actually.”
Hiram ignored her comment and grinned, placing his hands on his hips proudly. “I call it the Computer of Chaos. COC for short.”
The silence in the kitchen was practically screaming.
Yuri looked up from the profiles. “The what?”
“The Cock, Yuri-bird. Didn't you hear him correctly?” Balthus nearly choked trying to hold in his laugh.
“Exactly! And it works for everyone here, you just have to say your name and it’ll unlock for you.” Hiram motioned for someone to give it a try.
Yuri still looked at the computer quizzically, but walked towards it nonetheless. He leaned down and said, “Yuri Leclarc.”
“Access Denied.”
“What?” Hapi questioned, pulling the computer toward herself. “Hapi.”
“Access Denied.”
“Ohhh, that’s right.” Hiram’s grin turned mischievous. “It only answers to the nicknames I gave you all.”
If looks could kill, Yuri would have committed a murder. He sighed heavily and violently moved the computer back to him. “Yuris.”
“Permission Granted.”
“Go die.” He growled at Hiram, who only laughed.
“What nicknames?” You had to ask, but regretted it once Hiram’s smile was directed at you.
“I add an -is to the end of everyone’s names! Yuris, Hapis, Constis, Balis, but I call Rhys ‘Rhysie’, he doesn’t tell me not to~”
Yuri rolled his eyes. “He doesn’t fucking talk, that’s why.”
“Can I have a nickname?” If you were going to be stuck here, you may as well make friends.
“Hmm,” Hiram pondered, “No.”
“Wh-“
So much for making friends.
Yuri interrupted the awkward moment by slamming his hand down on COC, making Hiram gasp in protest. “Fucking- Hiram, try to find something- anything- to find out Edelgard’s intentions. We had a neutrality pact, she shouldn’t have broken it.”
Your head was starting to hurt from the events today. Rubbing your temples, you stood up, making everyone look at you.
“Listen, I’m tired. I’m stressed. Is there like, anywhere I can sleep? I can’t do much more.”
Constance nodded. “I’ll take you up to the spare room!”
She led you up the stairs and past the room you had gone into earlier. Opening the door to one of the bedrooms, she gestured for you to enter.
“I’ll have to lock you in, but I’m sure you won’t mind. You’ll be sleeping, after all!” Constance smiled, “Goodnight!”
You waved back at her and waited for the click of the lock before turning on the lamp and peeling your sleeve away from your arm. You grimaced- blood had dried and caked around the wound, which was still slightly bleeding. You needed medical attention, but you didn’t blame the Wolves for not thinking about it.
They certainly were stressed- being previously neutral and suddenly attacked. They’ve got enemies now and you suspected that was something they haven’t had in quite a while. And then there was you, the epitome of ‘wrong place, wrong time’. Who would’ve thought that you’d end up accidentally in the middle of a gang war when you moved here? Certainly not you.
Guilt tugged at your stomach. These people were different from you. You didn’t belong here and you needed to get out of their hair. Yuri made it obvious that you stuck out like a sore thumb, unaware of what to do like they did.
You glanced at the window in the bedroom and stood up, making your way towards it. You could easily unlock it and risk an ankle injury. You’d already hurt your arm, it would be fine.
Your two choices were to try to survive a mob that wanted to kill you all, or get a foot injury while escaping and get back to your normal life.
Unlocking the latch on the window, and sitting on the edge, you had already made your decision. You jumped down and ignored a loud crack that resounded in your ankle, slipping into the depths of night.

50 Wordless Ways to Say I Love You: Giving them a tight hug that makes them lose their breath
-> Pairing: Yuri x Female!Reader
-> Warnings: Cursing, Violence, MAJOR CINDERED SHADOWS SPOILERS
-> Genre: One-Shot (1.3k), Some Fluff, Mostly Angst
-> A/N: This is like as canon-compliant as I could make it with the addition of the reader idk, I’m sorry it’s not quite “original” as much as it’s me rewriting the scene
Tumblr media
“Finally, you’re all awake. Good morning, sleepyheads. Or is it a good evening?”
Yuri’s voice pierced through your skull, making your head throb. You heard the other Wolves talking to him- they sounded angry- but you were too weak to even open your eyes.
“You- you scoundrel!” Constance yelled, “You are unfit to speak with us, liar that you are!”
Yuri waved her off, seemingly uncaring about whatever the hell he was doing. You tried to keep quiet, fighting off a groan of actual pain, as you opened your eyes and peered up. Yuri was standing tall above the four of you, his sword in his hand. You, Constance, Balthus, and Hapi were tied up, lying on the ground in a chamber. What the fuck?
“What exactly are you trying to do here?” Balthus pressed.
“Aelfric intends to reenact the Rite of Rising.” Yuri sighs, then explains. “By offering up the blood of the four Apostles, you can bring someone to life. Saint Seiros attempted the ritual 995 years ago, but not enough blood was given, so the ritual was a bust. And now, through extreme persistence, Aelfric has found and gathered the four of us, with our Crests.”
“Okay, but what does that have to do with Y/N? She doesn’t even have a crest.” Hapi asked.
You were more awake now, gently sitting up as memories came to you. That’s right- Yuri had betrayed everyone. The Wolves, the professor, you… Your eyes burned with tears. The little bird certainly was only a rat. Yuri looked at you, a bit too long to mean nothing, and walked to the side, twirling his sword.
“She’s simply too strong. To have her go free is to risk too much. Aelfric can’t let this ritual fail. He spent his years raising us in the Ashen Wolf house all to ensure that the Rite of Rising was successful.”
“You mean to say that he intends to drain our blood? To kill us?!” Constance’s voice raised.
“Yeah, no, count me out.” Hapi joined in, “Wait- the number four includes you too, right? You’re gonna die too?”
“Yep. That’s the idea.”
You’d had enough of this talk. Yuri- Yuri wasn’t like this. You refused to believe it. He had been nothing but sweet to you, was it all really just a lie? Struggling to find your voice, you finally cried out.
“I can’t believe you!” Everyone’s head snapped towards you. “You- you filthy liar! You’re risking your life and everyone else’s for what? Some dead bitch? You’ve spent your whole life with these people to stab them in the back?”
“Y/N-” Yuri opened his mouth, but you cut him off.
“No, no! Fuck you, Yuri Leclarc. Or are you lying about your name too? I can’t believe I trusted you- or any of us. You took advantage of everyone’s kindness and now you’re throwing everyone’s life away.” You spat at him. If you weren’t avoiding his gaze now, you would’ve seen hurt flash in his eyes.
That hurt hardened quickly as he saw Aelfric watching from the corner. “Shut it. I've lived through Hell and worse. After clawing my way here, you really think I wanna die?”
“Then why throw your life away for the likes of Aelfric?” Asked Balthus.
“Some things are more important than my own life.” Yuri’s eyes shifted back to you for a moment, “Some things are worth protecting.”
“You’re not making any damned sense-”
“It would seem that you want to be punished severely, Yuri.”
Suddenly, Aelfric revealed himself, walking to Yuri with a threatening aura. Yuri only scoffed, defiantly speaking back to him. You couldn’t understand much, now, your vision was spotty with your migraine. You felt like throwing up, but that didn’t seem quite appropriate right now.
“-If I must, I will kill your mother alongside your dear people.” Aelfric finished his little speech as you focused on soothing your nausea. You kept blacking in and out between the conversation, missing bits of it. To focus on staying awake, you tried to grab the dagger that was strapped to your waist in order to cut yourself free.
“The whole ‘evil villain’ outlook doesn’t look good on someone as pious as you, Aelfric.” Yuri laughed. You paused, wondering why he would insult his boss.
“Yuri-bird, I could-”
“Not yet,” He hissed at Hapi. You continued to fidget, getting your ropes to the blade and beginning to saw through them.
You were about halfway through when three figures, coated in masks and dark outfits came forth and took hold of the three downed Wolves. A fourth walked in front of you, raising his hand to knock you out once more. You flinched back, awaiting for the impact, but it never came. Opening your eyes, you saw Yuri holding the man’s wrist.
“You will not touch her.” He threatened, “Or else.”
The figure left and you could only sit back and watch as Aelfric sliced the four Wolves, spewing some goddess-awful monologue to Yuri. Bells chimed and Aelfric began to look panicked, much like you were. You said you hated Yuri, but that was far from the truth.
In the past time that you had gotten to know him, his sly, cunning antics had begun to grow on you. A lot. Before you knew it, you had found yourself becoming quite fond of the house leader, wanting to fight alongside him and spend your time conspiring with him. With as big of a crush that you had on the boy, it was only normal that you would feel so betrayed by him. Hell, you weren’t even going to die (yet, probably), and yet you were still just as upset as the other wolves.
“Oh, and just so you know, I’ve been working for Lady Rhea since before I ever began working for you.”
Your utter surprise at Yuri’s words made you snap the last bit of rope that you had to cut. So, he was on your side the whole time?
“It matters no longer. The ritual is almost done. Just a little bit longer…” Aelfric tried to reason- with Yuri or himself, you couldn’t tell.
Yuri scoffed and you began to stand up, drawing your weapon. “Don’t think for a moment-”
“That I’ll let anything happen to them!” You yelled, suddenly charging towards the man. Your fist collided with Aelfric’s jaw, knocking him to the ground as the other Wolves stood up.
“Seriously, Boss, did you have to tie us up so tight?” Balthus complained, rubbing his wrist.
“Sorry, Balthus,” Yuri laughed, “I figured those little tears would be enough for you to break through the rope.”
“I hate to interrupt the relief party,” You walked up to the group and shoved the blade of your weapon against Yuri’s throat. “But I’m still quite angry, and I’d like to take it out on some people I actually can beat up.”
Yuri gave you a watery smile and gently pushed down the blade, tilting his head at you. “I’m sorry.”
You scrutinized Yuri for a moment before dropping your weapon and rushing towards him, knocking him back a few steps as your arms wrapped around him. You heard him grunt a little and you smile, squeezing him even tighter. Yuri eventually relaxes and wraps his arms around you as well, resting his head on top of yours. “Don’t fucking do that again.”
“Do you still hate me? I think you do, because you’re squeezing me so tight I can’t breathe. Not complaining, though.”
You looked up at him, ignoring the professor and the other knights as they filed into the chamber, ready to fight. “No, I could never. Even if you really had betrayed us…” You looked away from his gaze, but he tilted your chin back up.
“I couldn’t betray you all. That would mean never getting a bone-crushing hug from you again and now that it’s started, I don’t want it to stop.”
You laughed and tip-toed up, pressing a light kiss against his cheek. “Whatever, you sap. Let’s go kick some ass.”

songbird. | yuri
You stomped your foot and hurried to collect your music, mumbling under your breath the whole time. “That asshole…”
The ballroom was too large for one person to occupy. Yet there you were, alone, seated at the grand piano in the corner of the golden room. Chords rang throughout the hall, echoing angelically as if you were playing for an actual audience rather than the stars that watched through the large windows.
The last note sustained for its last counts and you finally relaxed, breathing as you completed the piece. The tranquil silence after finishing a song was always a relief to you- it gave you a break as you turned the pages of your songbook for the next song.
You took a deep breath and readied your hands to play again.
“Fancy seeing you here.”
Startled hands slammed on the keys. “And why are you here?”
“I heard music and saw both Dorothea and Manuela in the dining hall, so I wondered who could possibly have any musical talent other than them?”
You scoffed. “Curiosity killed the cat, Yuri.”
“But satisfaction brought it back, and quite frankly, I’m pretty satisfied.” Yuri moved closer to the piano and motioned for you to scoot over, which you begrudgingly did. He sifted through your music carefully and eventually put a song on the stand in front of you. “Play this one. It has… sentimental value to me.”
You nodded. You may think of Yuri as a cheeky, annoying little shit, but you had a soft spot for the boy. If he said the song meant something to him, then you’d play this song as damn well as you possibly could and you’d take the snarky comments because he’d be smiling as he made them.
You started the first notes softly, slowly getting into the music and forgetting about Yuri’s presence. You were unaware of the boy watching you with fond eyes, smiling as you played.
You only came back to reality as you heard a soft humming next to you. Out of the corner of your eyes, you saw Yuri softly singing along to the song. His voice was a velvety tenor- calming and soft with a beautiful, clear tone. You knew it would be a gorgeous sound if he sang louder, but he was in his own world, so you just continued to play. Your hands shook a little as you opened your own mouth, singing along with him and adding in a few harmonies here and there.
Yuri opened his eyes now, smiling and singing a bit louder. He was still looking away from you for the most part, sometimes side-eyeing you only to look away again. Cute.
You finished the song and sat there for a moment before turning to Yuri. He faced you too, a glimmer in his eyes. He laughed and shook his head, unruly bangs falling in front of his face.
“Well, songbird, I loved that.” He grinned.
“Songbird? That’s not a nickname I’ve heard before.”
“Hm, really? Must be because I save it for really special people.”
“Have you called anyone else ‘songbird’?” You reached a hand out and brushed his hair out of the way. He caught your wrist and held it against his cheek. He was warm.
“No. It’s a cute little thing, hm? Yuri-bird and his songbird.”
His songbird? That didn’t sound half bad.
Your thumb began rubbing against his cheek, as if trying to soothe his flushed complexion. “I like it.”
Yuri suddenly lurched forward, capturing your lips with his. You quickly reciprocated, your other hand finding his shoulder as his own pressed against your waist. Your heart thumped quickly- advancing past the slow tempo of the song played earlier. He tilted his head to deepen the kiss and practically pulled you into his lap, flushing you against him tightly.
You had to pull away first, out of breath from your second duet of the evening with him.
Yuri grinned slyly. “The songbird is a little eager to sing again, aren’t you?”
You blushed and stood up, brushing off your clothes. “Shut up.”
Yuri followed you and stood behind you, placing his hands on your waist again before pressing his lips against your ear. “Careful what you wish for. I’ll leave you be, now, but if you’d like to sing again, you know where to find me.”
He smirked and kissed your cheek, twirling you around before walking out of the ballroom and leaving you alone.

dancing. | yuri
SORRY this is purely self indulgent
It’s also the longest thing I’ve ever written but I’m on mobile so I’ll put a “keep reading” thing later love y’all
Also, I’d like to remind everyone that requests are, in fact, closed. Your request will be deleted, sorry!
When Yuri was forced to compete in the White Heron Cup, you’d think his life was over. The way he groaned and moaned and moped around the day the professor asked was on another level. You’d never complain about Hilda’s whining ever again.
However, today the pink haired girl was quiet as you sat with her and the professor, watching Yuri stumble over his feet as Byleth clapped the 1-2-3 rhythm of a waltz. Hilda was holding her hand over her mouth, trying to keep her giggles silent every time Yuri messed up.
You, on the other hand, couldn’t take your eyes off of him. You were a dancer back home, but you’d used the Monastery as an opportunity to stray from that class and instead found yourself loving archery. To you, Yuri actually wasn’t doing bad. At all.
Sure, he had a few hiccups, but that was expected from anyone who was just learning the routine.
Byleth eyed you as she continued to conduct, making eye contact with Hilda from over your head. Hilda only smirked.
“Hey, Y/N, how about you practice with him a little? You are a dancer, after all.” The pink bitch laughed.
Yuri suddenly scoffed. “You’re a dancer? Then pray tell, why am I doing this and not her?” He asked Byleth.
Byleth only shrugged. “You were making fun of everyone who wanted to compete. I thought I’d put you in your place.” She looked back at you, motioning for you to join him.
“Oh, no, I haven’t danced in ages-“
“Bold of you to assume I’m giving you a choice,” She cut you off. You only groaned and got up, walking towards Yuri.
He raised an eyebrow flirtily- or was he just being cocky?- and held out his hand. Once you took it, he led you to your starting position, bowing and kissing your hand. Your eyebrows furrowed.
That wasn’t a part of a waltz…
You brushed it off and linked your hand with his again, resting your other on his arm that was placed strategically around your waist. He took a step forward, you took a step back. A few measures of the invisible music later, Yuri released your waist and spun you, latching back on- a little too stiffly.
“Loosen up a bit,” You whispered, “You look constipated.”
“Maybe I am.” He joked.
“Yeah, emotionally.” You rolled your eyes.
“I feel like you’re taking a jab at me.”
“Me? Of course not. Why would I? I have no reason.” You feigned innocence. You most definitely had a reason.
Ever since the Ashen Wolves had joined the Golden Deer class, you had been infatuated with the purple haired boy. Yeah, he was cocky, and crass, and rude, and sneaky, but he was also kind, and thoughtful, and gorgeous. He was the perfect mix and you wanted to dive right in.
You started by simply asking him questions- about homework, sparing, Abyss, anything you could. You’d pick back up the conversation quickly if you’d gone too far and caused him to shut down. Quite frankly, you considered him as a friend. Maybe one day he’d be more-
“Ow! You little shit!” You exclaimed.
“Language!” Byleth scolded.
Yuri snickered out an apology, his smirk only growing wider when you glared at him.
“You did that on purpose.” You pouted
“And if I did?” He tilted his head closer to yours, your noses barely brushing. “It’s not like you’re gonna do anything about it.”
You flushed and shoved at his chest, making distance. “Break time!”
— — —
The day of the White Heron Cup was stressful for everyone involved.
Many wanted to pull Yuri aside, wishing him the best of luck. He’d thank them and awkwardly make an excuse to leave, not comfortable with the attention.
Overwhelmed, he made his way into the men’s quarters of Abyss. He had two hours until the competition started and despite claiming that he “couldn’t care less about winning”, he was a little nervous.
Scratch that, he was very nervous.
Yuri stood in the quarters, his arms around an invisible partner, and began muttering a soft “1, 2, 3” to pace himself.
An hour passed and he was only getting more and more frustrated. The more he worked, the more he messed up. That’s not how practice was supposed to go, right?
Was it left foot first? Or right? After what cue did he dip his partner? He had to win this. He’d be an embarrassment if not. But he was forgetting how to dance-
“Yuri?”
Was that an angel? Coming to save him from this hell?
No, it was just you.
Same thing, Yuri thought to himself. He turned around to face you, slightly out of breath from practicing.
“Professor sent me to check up on you. You’ve got an hour to go- are you okay?” You stepped into the room, making him take a small step back.
He’d hoped you hadn’t noticed, but you did.
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.” Yuri turned away from you. “Nothing’s wrong.”
He had hoped that you’d stop the subject, but you only stepped further. “Are you nervous?”
“Nervous? For what,” he laughed. “I do not care about this. One bit. It’s a waste of time.”
“For someone who doesn’t seem to care, you sure were practicing a lot just now.” You looked around for a minute as Yuri didn’t reply. “Do you want me to practice with you one more time?”
The boy looked at you over his shoulder, his lavender eyes softening a little. “Sure.”
You walked over to him, curtsying. Yuri grabbed your hand and pressed his lips to it again before bringing you to his chest, his hand going to rest on your waist. You were slightly confused.
“You know the proper form is to have your hand on my shoulder blade, correct? And you shouldn't kiss your partner’s hand.” You tried to correct him.
He only tutted. “Yes, I’m aware, but you’re more than just a dance partner.”
You flushed a little, but stayed silent. You let Yuri guide you this time, trusting in his judgement and movements. Besides his hand placement, he was doing everything correctly. You had no clue what he was nervous about- he was practically perfect.
Unlike you.
You tripped over your feet again and again. Your body was shaking and you couldn’t tell if it was from your rusty dance skills or the fact that Yuri just made you so.. damn.. flustered. You’d accidentally stepped on his foot for the third time before you decided to stop.
“Goddess, Yuri, I’m so sorry.” You shook your head. “I’m not the best practice partner-“
“You’re wonderful.” Yuri cut you off. He hadn’t let go of your waist, instead letting his other hand release itself from yours and drag its fingers across your cheek. “You’ve helped me so much already.”
“I wish I could’ve done more,” You sighed, leaning into his touch a little. Maybe he returned your feelings? Or was he just being Yuri?
“Stop, stop degrading yourself.” He laughed. His eyes held… adoration? “You’re exceptional. I wish there was some way to repay you.” Yuri thought for a moment, and then snapped his fingers before brushing the same hand through your hair, bringing your forehead to touch his. “Actually, I know how I can repay you.”
“You do?” Your eyes were half lidded now.
Yuri only nodded. You closed your eyes, preparing yourself for a lovely kiss, but only felt a light pressure on your cheek. You opened them angrily.
“That’s for your tutelage.” He smirked. “I’ll give you the real thing if I win.”
He pressed another kiss to your cheek and walked out of the quarters. You stood there for a few seconds, praying to the Goddess that Yuri would win.
He did.

shy s/o headcanons. | yuri
sorry for the shitposting earlier i'm so hyper
firstly i'm sorry i posted this early and had to delete it
when yuri meets you, it's when you first came down to abyss with byleth and the other students
he's not too interested in you at the start
he sees you speaking easily with your friends and yet you struggle to even look in the ashen wolves' direction
at first he thinks it's because you're repulsed by them
he's meet his fair share of people who dislike Abyssians, so it's normal for him to assume such
eventually, your silence gets him slightly annoyed and he decides to confront you about it.
"oh, i didn't mean to ignore you!" you'd wave your hands, cheeks flushing, "i just didn't know how to talk to you guys. you're, uh, you're a little intimidating"
"intimidating? no, i try not to be." yuri's slightly glad that you don't hate him.
you shrug and fiddle with your fingers before yuri takes your wrist and drags you to the Wilting Rose Inn and sitting you down before talking to a man behind the counter
you can't look him in the eyes as he comes back and places a cup of water in front of you before trying to ease you into talking
it takes a little while but you eventually warm up to him and let your walls down, but yuri loves every minute of it
if he's not falling for you already, he is now
when he finally gets the nerve to ask you out, you are a flustered MESS but you say yes
yuri's really accepting and completely willing to go slow with everything. he understands that you may need time to warm up and often times he does too
you're his first relationship too, after all
he starts off holding your hand slowly- he'll link pinkies, then two fingers, then the rest of your hand
kisses are very slow as well
he'll ask every time
but yuri, being the trickster he is, will not pass up an opportunity to tease you
cheek kisses in public happen very often just to fluster you because you'll face him and hide in his chest and he loves it
hes gotta tease you just a little. your mad face is just the cutest to him

Headcanons about how Yuri would make his s/o happy after a tough week
i was gonna do these tomorrow but i needed to do this one tonight cause it's really relating to me rn :)
sorry this is short and kinda bad 🥴
comforting headcanons. | yuri
sweet boy
sweet babie boy who i love so much
just does not know what to do
if you were anyone else he'd tell them to suck it up because it'll get better
but it's you!! he wants you to be happy immediately
i think a lot of his actions depend on how he finds out that you're not doing good
if you just tell him like, "hey this weeks been bad", he'd probably like take you on a picnic or give you flowers
something to just put a lil smile on your face
if he opens your door one day and sees you crying, that's a whole different story
hes pulling you into his arms immediately
will sit on the floor with you and just rock you gently for as long as you need
he won't talk until you talk first because sometimes words aren't needed
he won't ask you what's wrong unless you're really really breaking down and stuff because he believes in respecting boundaries
but will give you a little questioning look that makes you open up 9/10 times

YES! YES! F×*K YEAH! Yuri x clumsy reader! The reader is terrible with lots of things; cooking, sewing, and even with directions, but she is an insanely powerful fighter! She accidentally wanders into Abyss and Yuri creeps up and tries to sweet talk her. As he starts to pull out his dagger, the reader freaks and JUDO FLIPS him before getting out of there. The next few times the reader keeps wandering in Abyss and once beat Balthus before Yuri FINALLY talks to her properly without a fight.
a/n | i had to google how to get out of a knife attack so at least now i know how to defend myself from knives and i deviated a tiny bit from the request because i didn't wanna make it too long!
also this is to make up for the dumb shit i posted earlier
flirt or fight. | yuri
you carefully walked down the stone steps, watching your feet as you went. you didn't want to trip- the ground seemed a little too dirty here for your liking. you waved to a guard who stood at the entrance of Abyss before walking a little further to explore.
yuri watched you from a little ways away. you hadn't noticed him or the other ashen wolves hanging out against the wall and from the looks of it, he was pretty sure you never would. your eyes were trained on things around you- you were being pretty cautious.
"i'm gonna go speak with her." yuri announced, a little quietly as to not draw your attention.
"i dunno," hapi replied, "she's a little skittish. you'd probably scare the poor thing to death."
"and? i'd like to know what business she has down here."
yuri pushed off the wall and took small steps towards you, his hand on his dagger. if he was going to talk to you, he was going to do it the Abyssian way. sneaking up behind you, he suddenly unsheathed his dagger and placed it against your neck, his face close to your ear.
"why hello there." he bit back a laugh as the other three wolves looked at him worriedly. he was just having a little fun.
suddenly, you reached up and grabbed yuri's hand that was holding the knife and ducked down, releasing yourself from his hold. you swept your leg around and kicked his knees out from under him, making him fall against the stone floor. you held his arm behind his back as you took the dagger from him before jumping up and running out of Abyss, tripping a little on the first step.
yuri stood up, rubbing his back and watching you retreat back to the surface. the ashen wolves were laughing loudly behind him.
"seems like she wasn't too interested, yuri-bird." hapi snorted.
"i'll get her."
--- --- ---
the next time you ventured down to Abyss, it was with byleth. she held steadily onto your arm as you two walked towards the ashen wolves classroom, to make sure you didn't fall.
you'd told her about your previous encounter. she brushed it off as a small thief since you couldn't give her much information about your attacker. he was behind you, after all.
at least you defended yourself, you'd shrugged.
you had accompanied byleth to abyss to talk to constance about her rather ... peculiar problem with the sun. coping mechanisms, byleth had explained. so you sat at a desk in the underground classroom talking to hapi and balthus.
your two companions went silent for a moment, looking behind you, but you were already ahead of them.
you swung your hand behind you, hitting a hard surface that gripped onto your wrist. you got off the bench and kicked your attackers legs, once again planting him on the ground as you held his arm behind him.
"yuri!" the three wolves gasped.
"nngh.. alright alright you win." the purple haired boy murmured into the ground.
you let go and stood up, facing the wolves. "who is this chick?"
"chick? chick?" yuri's eyebrows furrowed. "i’m no chick-"
"yuri-birds a boy!" constance laughed, "i know he doesn't look like it, but..."
you whipped back to face yuri, stumbling on your feet in the process. a little embarrassing, but you brushed it off. "why were you even sneaking up on me? are you trying to get killed?"
"i was trying to see if you were worthy of our time."
"worthy?" it was your turn to be offended. "what if i don't care if i’m worthy or not?"
yuri rolled his eyes. "well the test's over now, so there's no need to be mad-"
"i’m not mad. i don't care. talk to me when you finally get some sense, bird brain." with that, you promptly walked out of the classroom. but not before hitting your elbow on the doorframe.
yuri looked at the entrance where you had just left as balthus sat back down with his head in his hand.
"well, you suck at flirting."

ngl bro i miss seeing you write yuri, so i’m gonna go ahead and request a yuri x reader lol. it could be a modern au or after the war, whatever you choose. but maybe something in which they find a place and move in together, and then they try to buy furniture and decor to make it all nice and pretty. you don’t have to do it if you don’t feel like it, btw. you’re doing great, mate! stay vibing.
Interior Designers
-> Pairing: Yuri x Reader | Modern!AU
-> Warnings: Cursing
-> Genre: Headcanons, Crack, Fluff
-> A/N: The request didn’t say headcanons but that’s what i’m doing lmao. I also made this a modern au because i believe post-war, Yuri is still going to stay in Abyss and wouldn’t really move out. I also just have no clue where this story is going
One more thing, Cy, i miss being and writing modern yuri sm but you know what i got in store for that man so DW it’ll be soon
Tumblr media
When you first move in with Yuri, he’s already absolutely disgusted by the lack of ~taste~ in the small house
You’re not as bothered, but yeah, it could use some updating
He suggests you go to Ikea, you get nervous because God those things are hard to assemble
You both definitely get lost in Ikea but “It’s fine, Y/N, I know where we are.” -Yuri
“I don’t know where we are.” -Yuri, five minutes later
Yuri really enjoys more modern, black and white decor and he’ll stand by his opinion
You can disagree with him all you want but at the end of the day at least the living room is modern
How could you say no to Yuri, really?
There’s really only one splash of color in the living room, and it’s Yuri’s favorite lavender blanket draped across the back of the white leather couch
He doesn’t really care what else happens to the house, he just wants the places where guests will often be to be nice. He’d rather not have the other Wolves tease him about a mess or some weird stylistic choice
But Yuri also will compromise. He’s not an asshole, sometimes.
Setting things up takes a long time because you definitely keep distracting him
“Y/N, darling, I’m trying to work.”
“Just one kiss.”
“... Fine. Whatever.”
Two hours later and you’re both curled on the floor napping on the blanket
Not getting things done frustrates Yuri so much but he really can’t be mad at you so it’s fine
Once everything is completed, it’s absolute heaven to lay down in the bed together and just... revel in the fact that the two of you have taken such a big step in your relationship
Like, moving in with someone? That’s huge. I could never.
But you’re not really scared of the big steps anymore because Yuri loves you and is 100% ready to live his days with you by his side
He hopes to tell you that soon as well, but with the ring hidden in the newly-built nightstand

Hey! Can I request Yuri x someone who doesn’t like abyss and the dark please? Thank ya!
an s/o who doesn't like abyss/the dark. | yuri
i hate to say it but
this is a total red flag for yuri
not the dark part, but not liking abyss
that's his home. that's his safe space
he'd originally take your disliking for it as one of those prejudiced opinions like he'd always heard about abyss
you'd tried to explain that you didn't like it because it was dark but he kinda wouldn't listen
i think he'd have a really hard time accepting the fact that his s/o wouldn't want to visit his lil sanctuary
he might not even accept it at all because that's a big thing to him
but if you two truly loved each other, compromises would be made
you wouldn't have to come there often like yuri would want, but when you do there will be more lanterns and torches put in place to lighten it up
he still wouldn't be too happy about it but that was the compromise that had to be made
after all, you weren't too happy about going down there
you'd both try really hard to make each other happy and i think as time went on, going down there would get easier and easier
so you'd be open to doing it more often after you learn that it is a safe place, especially as yuri's s/o
which would make him so so so incredibly happy
like i said, abyss is his life. we all know how much it all really means to him
to not be able to share that with someone he loves hurts
but you'd work it out
it'll be okay eventually

Tumblr media
"Wait for me."
Those were the last words Yuri whispered in your ear before vanishing from your sight.
Yuri is a man who would never stop for anything until your safety was guaranteed. He made a painful decision in order to preserve your future; Yuri wasn't going to let your name touch his small notebook for a long time.
He lost so many friends and loved ones--however, you were a special someone he couldn't afford to lose. While the flirtarious and sweet letters helped ease the pain, it still couldn't beat the loneliness that was inside of both of you.
Yuri's hands gripped tighter on his horse's reins, his purple irises gazing at the just barely visible monastery. The sun just started to peek out, its light overflowing and coating the horizon.
It's been months since he last saw you; but now that your safety was assured for at least a while, he can finally return to you and be a part of your future once more.
He hopped off his horse, quietly leading them to the stables. Yuri quickly took his luggage and items off the horse, before glancing at the towering walls of the monastery.
It was now early morning. Knowing you, Yuri assumed you were awake. Even so, he stepped qu ietly towards your quarters, being careful to not make too much noise. When Yuri was finally a step away from your door, he decided to pause and close his eyes for a bit.
He's finally home.
After standing there for a couple more minutes, the door let out a creak as he pushed the wood that was separating him and you. Yuri felt his eyebrow quirk at the sight of mint green hair poking out of the heavy bedsheets.
"You're still asleep, huh," He drops his supplies at a clean corner of the room and walked towards the bed. "Never knew you were capable to sleep in--"
Stirring at the sudden noise from Yuri, your eyes blearily opened, though you were facing away from him. "Mm...?"
You sat up and slowly looked around. As soon as you saw Yuri standing right next to the mattress, as beautiful and handsome as ever, your eyes widened as you threw your arms around him.
"Oh, goddess--Yuri--" You felt like you were about to cry feeling him again. It's been far too long. Yuri reciprocated the surprise hug, quickly taking off his gloves as he combed through your hair and slinking an arm around your waist.
"Now, now, I know I'm always astonishing to see, but there's no need to get so breathless over it," Yuri whispers. He felt himself slightly wince, feeling your fist lightly punching his back.
You were exactly the same. Perhaps you've gotten a little bit thinner or lost a pound or two of muscle, but you still looked exactly like the girl he saw months ago.
The same girl that he loved so much.
Something did feel a bit strange; your stomach area felt a bit bloated. Yuri slowly pulled away from the hug to see what felt out of the ordinary. Ironically, he felt himself lose his breath over it.
"...how many months?"
"Oh, about... eight? I was confirmed one month a couple of weeks after you left."
Yuri blinked. "Oh." There was a comfortable silence between the two of you; his lips was resting on the crown of your head, while your face was tucked in the comforting crook of his neck.
You squeezed him tighter. "Welcome home, Yuri."
The guilt started to slowly melt away. It was all worth it. Not only did he protect one person, but he protected his home.
His sweet home.
