(John) Veteran? Nah. I only know as much from m’son. Intermediate’s more like it!

Back when I’as a young Yungoos, we didn’t get snow. So i didn’t get to experience that much in my childhood. I kinda want to make up my childhood now that I’m used to this icy crud.

It took me about 6 years livin’ in Galar t’finally get used to the crud, and before I knew it, I had a baby Skwovet I had t’feed. Now when that kid turned 5, the kid got the hang of picking up snow and compacting it into balls.

Before that, he’d jam it in his cheeks, sometimes his tail thinking it wouldn’t melt on’im, but eventually he realized, “Hey, I can throw the stuff. Maybe I can knock the glasses off my old man’s head and laugh as he goes lookin’ for them!”

I asked’im what he did, he taught me, and then I pranked my wife of then 10 years by wailing a firm one at the back of her head. SHE WAS SO ANGRY, and all Nick and I could do was laugh our tails off. But then she hit me with a snowball of her own, and well that really did it. It was me and my son against my own wife.

Me and the missus have been hitched fer 20 years now, and m’boy is a full grown Greedent just like my wife now. Even bigger, at that. Where does the time go?

John sighed deeply, wiping a single tear from his eye, longing for the days of yesteryear.

Sorry about that. I had a real trip there. NOW, if you still want to throw. I will be willing to take your challenge up. I’ll have to do it alone since my wife isn’t into that kind of stuff, but if you want a snow fort, I bet I could make a half decent one. Even if it’s not as big as yours this’ll still be fun.

The cyan colored canine tilted their head upon spotting the lone being in the field. Seeing that they were alone, he laid down beside them to keep watch. It was a beautiful night and he'd hate to disturb their slumber or let anyone else disturb their sleep.

[??? The Zorua @ Pollux] An odd looking Zorua comes trotting up to the Lycanroc carrying some kind of metal object, looking like an old sword of some kind. "Hey, Mr. Book guy.. can you help me figure out what this thing is that I found?" They ask, ears lowering meekly as they gaze up at Pollux. "I.. can't read too well..."

Pollux immediately took interest in the sword the Zorua was carrying, examining the ancient text and looking closely before nodding to himself.

“Well ... I’m certainly not really fluent in ancient languages but I can help do some research on that object.”

He gestures toward a nearby set of bookshelves.

“I have quite the collection of literature about ancient orthography that we can both look through.”

The large canine was pacing along the top of the wall, trying to find some kind of reason for its existence along with wondering what was going on inside its walls, when he spotted the leafy creature. He set down his sword for a moment after hopping down to speak. "You guard against corruption? What kind of corruption are you fighting?"

Yarrow pauses a moment. “The corruption... the corrupted... are like a disease, a parasite, but crystal-born by Balesfi. This corruption that spread so wildly takes the mind and body of the victim, and turns to mercilessly attacking anything.”

They sigh. “If we don’t try to fight the corruption, there could be nothing left... and I want to see home again.”
