Finally got the release date for RAINCODE: Detective Archives
June 30th, 2023.
Three Games Announced I am Buying, and One I am Skipping
On September 13th, 2022, Nintendo held a Nintendo Direct Showcase that alluded to some of the games that are planned to release next year! On that note, here are my top three anticipated games, and one I am going to skip out on.
youtube
First up is Octopath Traveler 2. Eight more travelers go on a journey to find themselves. Following the response of one of the most popular Nintendo Switch (and arguably Square Enix) games, Octopath Traveler, this sequel was welcomed with open arms, with a fun battle system and an engaging narrative, this game would be hard for me to pass, especially since I loved the first one. The story I am looking forward to the most has to be Agnea's. I love a good drama and Agneas' story to become the best performer in the land sounds like its going to deliver.
Release Date: February 24th, 2023.
Ports: Nintendo Switch, Play Station 4 and 5, Windows via Steam.
Price: $59.99 USD
youtube
Second up is going to have to be Enigma Archives: Raincode. This game is a detective game where the main premise is climbing the detectives guild by solving murder cases gone cold. Also, this game was made by the same development team and creator of the iconic Danganronpa, a separate series that is still intensely popular to this day, despite the last mainline release being in 2017. I personally hope that there are homages to Kirigiri and/or Shuuichi, as they were detectives in the Danganronpa series.
Release Date: Q2 2023 (Spring).
Port(s): Nintendo Switch.
Price: TBA
youtube
Lastly, but never the least, is Just Dance 2023 Edition. I never really had friends to play with, at least in person, but now that they have an online versus mode, I am willing to check it out, also this game has gotten very popular with streamers so I am willing to check that out! (Also, can't wait for my personal recommendations to be filled with K-pop music for the most part either LOL!).
Release Date: November 22nd, 2022.
Port(s): Nintendo Switch, Playstation 5, X Box Series X/S.
Price: $59.99 USD (if this is too expensive, I anticipate a sale, as it's very easy to find the 'Just Dance' games at almost half price)
youtube
And now, for the skip. Also a Square Enix title, is Harvestella. I love a good farming game, and the main premise sounds so interesting (‘surviving the season of death' goes so hard), but when I played the demo, I personally could NOT get past the blurry in game graphics, which many other players had also noticed while playing the demo. Even with great art and an inclusive main character, I want to enjoy the season of death, not lose to it cause it strained my eyes too hard. If they fix the blurriness then yay, I would buy it, but with Square Enix' s track record it doesn't seem likely, so unfortunately I will skip Harvestella for now.
Release Date: November 4th, 2022.
Port(s): Nintendo Switch, Windows Via Steam.
Price: $59.99 USD
What were your thoughts on this list? Have any other games you'd think should have been added? Comment Below!
PS: Fire Emblem Engage is also a game I am looking forward to as well, and quite frankly, may be the push I need to pre order the special edition, or at least ask for it as a birthday present as the game itself releases nine days before my birthday so there's that!

Gamer Gifts to buy this Holiday Season
The holidays are around the corner, so if you have a friend or someone special you need to buy a present for and/or are just looking for something to treat yourself to this gifting season, then look no further than here. Also, a disclaimer that no part of this post is sponsored.
Geekshare for Console Accessories
Geekshare is a company that specializes in gaming accessories, they have products for the Nintendo Consoles, PlayStation 4/5, and XBOX. With a cute aesthetic for the most part when it comes to their selections, the main offerings are the following: Thumb grip covers, protective shell cases, controller covers, carrying cases for traveling. Geekshare has also broadened their store to include other options for tablets as well as desk accessories such as mousepads and charger adapters and even crossbody bags. (There is this cute plush cat one I saw that I want to buy myself now lol). There is both a personal website as well as an Amazon storefront linked below.
BenQ Screen Bar for Late Nights
Yes, this product is on the more expensive side ($109 USD), but the ways you could use this screen bar are quite versatile. It hooks up onto your monitor or laptop (via USB), but you can use this to be a regular desk light as well as this product has quite the range as well to help with those light nights of working or reading books; for aspiring streamers, it could also be their ring light as well! BenQ products are also certified as Eco-Friendly as well so if you want to shop with environmental consciousness in mind BenQ is a good place to start for tech related goods.
Hagibis Cleaning Kit for Tidiness
If you have some dusty and dirty electronics? Look no further than this 5-in-1 cleaning kit that does not only help with you keyboard and mouse but also other electronics such as ear buds and even for your scale figures. This product is revered by many and especially so on Tik Tok subgenre Tech Tok for its affordability as well as its versatility beyond tech goods. Currently this product is only available on Amazon, which is also linked below.
Cooluli Mini-Fridge for Snacktime
Something I have seen for a while across all my social platforms as of late is the trend of personal minifridges, whether it be for storing skin care, drinks, snacks, subscriptions, etc. While I personally do not understand the phenomenon of them it is something I can get down with, I mean who wouldn't want one to have their favorite snacks and drinks ready. I myself would personally use one for skincare though, what about you?
Yes, there is way more ideas out there (You should tell me all about them lol), such as the Wishlist buy as most games and websites let you buy for others such as Steam Wishlist’s and even in-game cosmetics such as League of Legends and Wildrift to name an example, but if this helps anyone, it is a solid win for me. As always, thank you for reading!

4 Tabletop Games on Kickstarter you NEED to check out!
Tabletop games are a guilty pleasure of mine, and it is a darn shame I do not play too many of them as often as I can, but I was scrolling through Kickstarter after one of my friends sent a link, so down the rabbit hole I went! Anyways, here are four of the ones that piqued my interest!
1. Familiars and Foes by Horrible Adorables
Tumblr media

Is this Project Funded? Not fully, but very close! This project is an all or nothing one as well, meaning it might get scrapped completely if not fully funded.
Pledge Amount Needed for the game itself: $49.00 USD.

Is this Project Funded? Not quite but it’s a little over halfway there. Just like the previous entry, it is also an All or Nothing.

3. Starsworn: Compendium Adventure by Michael Low
Tumblr media

In this choose your own adventure, you take the reins on your own story and only you can determine what happens next. This child friendly game also serves as a learning experience on characterization, writing, and reading as well as the art of storytelling. A great introduction to roleplaying for the kids as well.

Four Single Player Videogames to play this Spooky Season (faint of heart edition)
Don't like horror? Me neither! (Unless it's those cheesy horror flicks like Paranormal Activity or games like FNAF). You can count me out of playing games like Mortuary Assistant, Madison, Soma, and depending on the day, even Backrooms. So I bring this list of single player games for your playing pleasure that are in festive theme but won't give you nightmares.
1. Bayonetta 1
Tumblr media
The first installment of an extremely popular series, heavily referred to as one of the greatest games developed of all time, with a rocking’ OST to boot. Here, you play as the titular Bayonetta, an amnesiac Umbra Witch; The only thing that she knows about herself is that she has the left eye of “The Eyes of the World, a deeply desired artifact pair that are sought for by Umbra Witches and Lumen Sages alike (they are opposing factions that want absolutely nothing to do with the other). In the very first installment, help her in finding the right eye, as well as regain her lost memories.
Price: $19.99 USD (BUT until October 13th, it is on a 75% discount and can be yours for only $4.99 USD)
Platforms: Windows/MAC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox.
2. NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD
Tumblr media
Take on the manager role for your friend, an up-and-coming live streamer, and social media personality named Kawaii Angel Chan, who likes you a little too much. Watch her slowly gain followers and subscribers while also managing her personal life as well. In this game, it depends on how you respond to both her as a content creator, as well as her real self-offline. With endings that could be good, like becoming her romantic partner, or even bad endings like Angel being cancelled online and her career being ended for good.
Price: $15.99 USD.
Platform(s): Windows/MAC via Steam, Nintendo Switch (upcoming).
3. Little Witch in the Woods
Tumblr media
Nothing says faint of heart like a good old’ fashioned farming simulator. Play as Ellie, a Witch in training, who looks to help people with the power of magic. Forage ingredients for potions, fish, and (of course) talk to cats, in addition to the townspeople and form friendships and the bond of a lifetime. Explore the world far and wide, and you could also uncover the secrets of said world as well. If you liked Stardew Valley, you would like this game for sure!
Price: $15.99 USD (Disclaimer: this game is currently in Early Access, so in its current version, it is playable, but still in development).
Platforms: Windows/Mac via Steam, Xbox/ Xbox Cloud.
4. Sucker for Love: First Date
Tumblr media
One day you, the main character (who happens to be obsessed with the Occult and likewise topics such as H.P. Lovecraft Mythos) decide to do a summoning ritual thinking nothing would come out of it, just for you to be proven wrong, but in the good way. In this dating simulator, charm three heroines, who all happen to be Lovecraftian creatures, each with their own unique routes and personalities to boot. Romance one of the girls or die trying in this light hearted and comedic story!
Price: $9.99 USD.
Platforms: Windows/MAC via Steam.
Anyways, thank you for taking the time to read this, and if you do end up trying one of these games, tell me what you think, or if you have any recommendations that I missed, definitely leave them in the comments! HAPPY HALLOWEEN SEASON 😺!!!

You Should Check Out: The Silent Kingdom
Hello readers, let me tell you about ‘The Silent Kingdom’, a up and coming Indie Dark Fantasy Otome as well as an Adventure RPG !
youtube
Let me start by saying that one of the things I adore as a long-time fan of the Dating Simulator genre (Alternatively known as Otome Games) is the variety of the stories, the portability, and premises of the games themselves, and the ability to truly make any standalone genre into a dating simulator as well as how the heroine is as a character.
Which takes us here! On one lone day I had seen this game on the Steam equivalent of a “For you Page” and I became enamored by the beautiful art, and especially so of the main heroine, Princess Erinys. Looking further into the page, this games’ premise also hooked me in, a dark fantasy story with a morally gray heroine who is molded into whatever you make of her, whether it be for good or for evil? SIGN ME UP! I genuinely see and hear the market for Dark Fantasy Otome games in both a studio and an indie developer, with a small, yet loud community of Otome gamers on various website forums asking for and dreaming of darker and more mature Otome games, I can confidently say that based off of what I have seen so far in-game, I am able to confidently say that ‘The Silent Kingdom’ is more than capable of being an answer to the market demand.
Though what is this game about? In short, Princess Erinys’ kingdom has fallen to a curse, completely ruining what used to be her world. It is our, the players, job as Princess to save our kingdom from the curse or fall to the curse in this emotional, choose you own adventure RPG with choices that determine the fate of everyone, even yourself. With a planned release suggested to be in 2024, I look very much forward to playing ‘The Silent Kingdom’ , which you, the reader, can do… RIGHT NOW!
Linked below is a demo (available on both Steam and Itch.io), which contains the prologue of the game, which is approximately one (1)  hour and twenty (20) minutes.
The game itself is currently playable in both English as well as Spanish-Spain with releases planned for both Windows via Steam, and Nintendo Switch (portability…YAY!) . Also linked is the Kickstarter page as well as the twitter page for the game developer herself, Lucky Cat.
