I am sick of morally grey characters/love interests who are just cranky, serious, or tend to be misogynistic with the extreme possessiveness. Why can't we have more Kaz "she belongs to no one" Brekker who respects Inej as her own person? Why can't we have more Percy "I didn't want to be a demigod" Jackson who has a sense of humor, and despite his bitterness, he cares about those he loves deeply? I love morally gray characters, but can we please have more than "possessive creeps with traumatic backstories"?
