routine things i did today:
brushed my teeth in the morning and before bed
did the dishes while waiting for my toast to be ready in the morning
started my final project report, bc my advisor said i can start to work on the intro and methods
studied with my friends a bit in the afternoon, but we were so tired we eventually just gave up lol
worked on my java project (with my friend bc he's my work partner)
📵 today's screen time: 2h44😌
📺 watching: Fushigiboshi no☆Futagohime Gyu!
so, devilman crybaby ep1 was too weird for me, so i just gave up (pls dont kill me if you love it). so i was just looking over my anime site, and this one looked cute. Im just watching a random ep, probably won't ever watch it again, but i was needing some cozy vibes

30 DAYS OF ROUTINE: DAY 18!!!!!!!!!!

i did very few tasks but i was soooooo productive!!! im so so so happy!!! <3 also i remade my dopamenu!!! im very happy about this too ^___^
according to my dopamenu, one of my way to relax is watching animation series or anime. today i finished watching scott pilgrim takes off! i liked it & i liked the idea that this anime promotes :] ramona flowers is my fav character!!!
usually i set a timer for 60 minutes when i do homework, but i realized that at the 50th minute i start to feel like a squeezed lemon. today i tried to set a timer on 50 minutes and its working better!
also today i set up notifications for starting to do homework, hair washing & going to sleep! & they're really working!!! im going to sleep now!!! good night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

30 Days of Routine
This is technically still a studyblr, so why not (also you can skip this post if you want - it's long and tedious):
I have several routines that I need to maintain to make sure I don't return to a pile of mush which - between a very, very hot summer, moving house, uni going back, grandad passing, and just general stress - are at about 30% maintenance (yes i made that number up). So, instead of doing the 30 Days of productivity challenge, I'm going to do 30 Days of routine to get them locked in again.
What are the routines?
Having a lie down after lunch for 30 mins
Listening to a Smiling Mind track at least once a day
Doing my OT and physio exercises
Doing my stretch routine
Smiling Mind will probably be the hardest - and most important - because after having it locked in for over a year, I just stopped using it. I'm not sure why - maybe when my health started to improve, I started making excuses for skipping it? Idk. I used to listen to one in the first half of my nap (because naps are incredibly boring), and/or before bed. I haven't decided where to re-establish it yet, so I'll experiment with it a bit.
My OT and physio exercises tend to fall by the wayside whenever I've had an exhausting day (which is, y'know, often), but whenever I do maintain them I tend to do better during the day - which is the point of them, duh, so it's important I get back into the routine of them. My physio gave me SO MANY to do, so I've been adding them one at a time. I haven't added a new one since before New Year's so an additional goal for this is to add another one by the end (maybe even a sitting up one - gasp!).
Stretch routine should be easier, because I tend to do it after my exercises, and I already am very familiar with it from when I used to go running (rip :,) ).
An important thing of this challenge is I don't have to do EVERYTHING. That is the goal, but if not doing one is going to make it easier doing another, then that's okay. Also, sometimes I can't do them - e.g. today I start work at 12pm, and I can't really have a nap in the middle of the shift. As long as I at least do one of them.
I probably shouldn't count yesterday because it was before I made this post, but I'm going to anyway because a) yesterday was the first of the month and that's a nice number to start with, b) I did everything yesterday, c) I came up with the idea yesterday, I just couldn't be bothered writing it up before bed, and d) it's my challenge and I can do whatever I want.
I haven't done something like this since undergrad, and that was for studying, not something like this, so wish me luck!

🎀30 Day Glow Up Challenge 🎀 - day ten
♡ Mindset : when I dress amazing I feel amazinggg and that’s how I felt today and I felt so confident. I unplugged from my phone and really enjoyed my spa day with my friend. I wanted to be in the moment and forget my responsibility and stressors and it made the day even better.
♡ Health : I practiced 80/20 eating today I ate a very good breakfast because I knew I’d be eating out. I ate sushi and noodle combo for lunch at the spa it was so goodddd I loved the taste and portion size it was enough not to much not to little. The only sad part is I did not enjoy the hot pot. The scent was throwing me off and the flavor of the food. The food looked amazing and my friend enjoyed it but I feel my period threw me off the scent and flavor of the food. I ended up ordering out once I got home because I didn’t eat anything at the hot pot and I ordered halal ate some and got full fast so I gave the rest of my food to my brother. The only thing I would have fixed is ordering out because it is so late.
♡ Self Care : today was my self care dayyyy!!!! I had such an amazing time. It was so relaxing and I got the body scrub my skin feels so soft! I used the saunas and it felt so good and peaceful I had great conversation with my friend and women who were also at the spa. The food was good. The only think I didn’t like was that it’s somewhat of a nude spa and that was uncomfortable for me and the spa is smaller I rated it a 6.5/10
♡ Experience : I felt so social today I spoke to random women in the spa they were so nice. I’m learning to be more vulnerable with people and my friend and I had an amazing conversation and it was a little frightening but pushing myself out of my comfort zone was worth it.

i’m home for a few days and have a long list of tiny project i want to pursue:
crochet a leaf sprout for my bf
complete a html basics course
finish my clinical psych notes
finish a book (ideally the art quake one but i started four so whatever i feel like)
figure out this documenting thing i’m doing on tumblr n how it mixes with my physical journaling
i also want to: go out w my friends at least two other times (doing it this evening!), visit my grandparents (x2), journal about my birthday, revisit and share my writing
main things today: get back into the morning routine of yoga+journal, read, htlm course, notes

30 days of productivity ✨
it's not the beginning of the month, but i'm so excited for myself, i don't want to delay! 🤩 so i've arranged my activities into a 30-day productivity challenge that i can start right away! ☺️
while my resolutions are (and imo, need to be) ambitious, i know that my monthly/daily plans need to be reasonably made in the context of the fact that i still have many other responsibilities, otherwise i run the risk of never following through.
note to self 💌: differentiate between failing to follow through due to my own mismanagement versus something out of my control coming up. 할수있어요! (trans: you can do it!)
health goals 🥰
3 physiotherapy exercises twice daily
MWF (each for 1m): squats, glute bridge, leg lift
TTh: run (3-4 mins)
Saturday: arm workout (2-3 mins)
Sunday: rowing (3-4 mins)
Weekly physiotherapy appointment
language learning goals 🙊
Korean, Japanese, Chinese: 2 lessons daily each
Korean: Watch one video from this channel every other day (watch twice for retention)
Japanese: Watch one video from this channel weekly (watch/practice vocabulary once a day for review, their videos are content-heavy!)
Chinese: Watch Mandarin learning videos from this channel to inform self-study plan

^accurate description of me yesterday. I forgot to post, bc i stayed up to finish reading the Dragon Republic (and having a consequent mental breakdown about it), so today i'm writing both updates.
Routine things I did:
🏵️ Im like 99% sure that my body is finally used to my new sleep schedule, it would just be helpfull if it weren't so dark oustide at 6:30... bc sometimes im awake but just lying in bed bc of how cold and dark it is 🏵️ Im watching a show with my mom, which is a routine thing bc i want to have more activities i do with her 🏵️ i studied a lot today (yesterday not that much, i was feeling a bit down) 🏵️ helped around the house 🏵️ took some time off to myself, bc i was feeling really overwhelmed this week 🏵️ managed to read every night before going to bed. Im really happy about that

weekend is a part of the challenge which i was afraid of at first bc on the weekend my screentime is getting bigger & i hardly do my homework 🥲 also i used to think that i cant live according to a very strict schedule bc i just need like... a right of choice?.. so i tried to create a more flexible schedule! at first everything went fine but at one point i found myself reading random articles about internet culture... i think that i need to set notifications that will remind me to do homework or to go to bed!
i go to sleep so late... again 🥲

🧸 i went sleeping earlier than usual bc i dont need to go anywhere today so i slept 7h 50min! thats not 6hrs already so im happy!
⏳ my screen time was 11h 37min (+ 1h 23min this night), of which 2h 54min i spent on tiktok! im not proud of myself, i really need to set a timer
📓 i did 25% of my homework! (4/16 tasks) (+ i made a plan for a big creative task but i didn't count it)

So, rough week. Had two nights where it just took me more than 2 hours to fall asleep (Tuesday night it took me FOUR hours!). Realising the more stressed I am, the less likely I am to do the quiet things (lie down, and Smiling Mind). Not sure how to fix that, but at least it's something I'm aware of now.
Three days left, and it's the easter weekend and I have an assignment due tonight and one that is STILL not finished. It's going some sort of way - not sure if it's well lol.
Did get to have a good chat on Wednesday with the lecturer who told me a few weeks ago I was a good student - no one else turned up for the last class so we went through the content and just ended up having a good chat. Turns out a) she originally started out in music before switching to english! b) LOVES musical theatre; c) agrees with my vocal teacher without having met him that if I ever get tired of teacher I would thrive in arts management because I seem very organised; d) said she thought I would make a good teacher because I 'have a very interesting mind,' which I think is a compliment?
Singing lesson yesterday was just us picking out new rep (I suggested My Grand Plan from Lightning Thief, which I knew he would hate but did give a starting point for better songs). Ive had such a stressful time, it was a really good way to reset. Also! I have finally figured out to activate my throat properly - now I just need to sustain the shape while singing and break a lifetime of poor structural habits lol
