Hero Radio OFFTiME! On our program, you can hear top heroes spill a little bit about their private lives. Today's hosts are Deku and Red Riot! What kinds of things will they talk about? Let's see!

Midoriya: Man, you must be tired! You came here straight after a night shift, right? Are you feeling alright?

Kirishima: All good! Besides, you've been working ten days in a row, right? Good on you!

Anyone else have those fandoms where you have your otp that you go absolutely feral for. And you get so obsessed with it that when you come across a different ship, you get whiplash for a second before being like, "Oh yeah, I remember this ship." And then your heart does a thing at something cute they did, and you're like, "Oh yeah, I actually seriously ship this. Just in, you know, a slightly more sane way."

To me, it's just the difference between:

'I NEED CONTENT OF THESE TWO LOVING EACH OTHER RIGHT NOW OR I WILL EXPLODE!!!!!!!!" *aggressively smooches them together*

And:

"I just think they're neat." *tucks them in together nice and cozy, kisses them on the head, and turns out the light for them.*

summary: midoriya is not nearly as innocent as the others think he is.

a/n: i actually had a fic planned out for this but i lost motivation for it and ended up deleting it and writing this in a few hours so its not my best work. for the prompt ‘anticipation’!

[this is a sfw tickle fic!]

“Midoriya.”

“Hm?”

“What are you doing.”

“‘fraid I don’t know what you mean,” says Midoriya, head pressing into the back of Todoroki’s shoulder. This is, of course, a lie. He absolutely knows what he’s doing.

“Move.”

Todoroki can’t see it, but he can tell Midoriya is pouting. “You don’t want me hugging you?”

Todoroki corrects, “Move your hands.”

Midoriya wiggles his fingers. “What’s wrong with where they are?”

Todoroki flinches violently, making the others in the room turn to look at them. “You know exactly what, Midoriya,” he hisses once they turn away.

Midoriya curls his arms tighter around Todoroki’s stomach. “I’m comfortable.”

“Then stop tickling me!” he exclaims; quietly, so he doesn’t draw any more attention to them.

“Okay.”

Todoroki freezes—metaphorically, of course. If anything, he’s rather warm. “Okay?”

Midoriya shrugs. “Okay.”

…He did not expect that answer.

While Midoriya does not move his hands, and he doesn’t even keep them still, he does carefully avoid all of Todoroki’s particularly sensitive spots that he probably knows by heart now. It’s relieving and somehow disappointing all at the same time; Todoroki isn’t a fan of being embarrassed in front of people, but Midoriya manages to bring him out of his shell more often than not, making him feel almost playful, and he’s found he doesn’t exactly hate when Midoriya does this.

Well—he doesn’t hate the tickling. He’s not a fan of anticipation. He’s not always a very patient person, especially when it comes to this. Midoriya knows, of course, and only does it for the purpose of messing with him.

He’s half tempted to grab Midoriya’s arm and pull him to his room so they can be alone, but he can hear the rhythmic sound of Bakugou chopping things in the kitchen, so it would be pointless to leave when they’ll be called back for dinner not long after.

So, Todoroki resigns himself to waiting until after dinner.

It’s horrible. Midoriya sits next to him, placing his hand on his knee under the table to make him tense up, poking extremely close to his ticklish spots, giving him bright smiles when Todoroki turns to confront him and turning those same smiles to the others when they aim a questioning look their way. Midoriya is not as innocent as they all think he is. He’s terrible and leading them all on.

Once they finish eating, Todoroki thinks he’s finally free. He is not. Ashido calls for a movie night, and he knows he’d be dragged into it even if he wanted to leave, so he doesn’t even try to escape.

Once again, Midoriya sits by him, and once again, he’s a huge asshole. Tokoyami even asks if he’s alright at some point, mentioning that his face looks a bit red, which makes Todoroki want to sink into the ground as Midoriya laughs softly at him. The worst part is that the movie isn’t very interesting at all, so it doesn’t even distract him in the slightest.

“I’m tired,” he stands up to announce as soon as the end credits show. As he starts to walk away he can hear Midoriya excusing himself as well, saying that he’s still exhausted from training earlier before he runs to catch up.

“Are you alright?” Midoriya asks once they’re sitting on Todoroki’s bed. “You were fidgeting a lot earlier.” So sweet. So innocent.

“You,” Todoroki hisses, “are the worst.”

Midoriya tilts his head, grinning. “I did what you asked.”

And Todoroki can’t argue with that, because it’s true, but Midoriya is still being unfair. “I take it back,” he grumbles.

“Take what back?”

“You know what.”

“I just want to be sure.”

Todoroki is not going to ask for it.

Midoriya seems content to wait however long he needs to.

Fuck. “What I said earlier. You can—” The words catch in his throat. He’s going to kill Midoriya, if Midoriya doesn’t kill him first. “You can tickle me. I don’t care,” he adds on, trying to save his last shreds of dignity.

Midoriya shrugs. “Well, if you don’t care either way, I don’t see any point in—”

“Midoriya!”

That finally pulls a laugh out of the freckled boy. “Sorry, sorry!” he says, not sounding sorry at all. He wraps Todoroki in a hug, moving so his hands are on his sides. “Are you sure—”

“I’m going to kick you out,” says Todoroki, moments before Midoriya begins squeezing his sides and he’s being broken down into laughter.

“Good luck doing that now,” teases Midoriya, hugging him sweetly like he hasn’t been torturing him all day—like he isn’t still doing it. “I’d be surprised if you could do much now that you’re all giggly.”

“Sh-uhut up,” huffs Todoroki. He’s not giggly, but he’s definitely on the right track to get there, especially if Midoriya doesn’t move spots, because this is slowly becoming unbearable.

“You’ll have to be quiet,” Midoriya tells him. “Some people will be going to bed soon. Don’t wanna ruin your image.”

“I’ll kihihill you.”

15: “Shouldn’t you be with him/her?”

Shoto's eyes glance over his classmates, looking for a familiar head of green hair so he can ask him to be his sparring partner. However, when he finally spots Midoriya, his heart falls and he swallows thickly.

He's already paired with Uraraka, again.

And, Shoto thinks bitterly, isn't that the perfect microcosm for his entire relationship with his best friend? He'll yearn from afar, for someone he'll never really have, because Midoriya's untouchable and it's clear he belongs to someone else; someone who isn't broken and unlovable. While it breaks his heart though, part of Shoto is glad, because the people who love him only ever get hurt - he wouldn't want to wish that on Midoriya.

So, masking his disappointment, Shoto quickly looks away to avoid staring, but now he doesn’t quite know what to do with himself, shuffling awkwardly, until Iida comes barrelling towards him with a request to pair up.

'Sure.'

He's in a foul mood for the rest of the day - through no fault of Iida, he’s just thinking about earlier. He knows he shouldn't dwell on Midoriya and Uraraka's relationship. They're good together; they raise each other up and inspire each other. They get along well and both deserve happiness.

Shoto just wishes it wouldn't be at his expense, as selfish as that sounds. It’s not like they know about his feelings, anyway.

As he excuses himself after classes finish, however, he's stopped by the very object of his affections, who's directing that beaming smile at Shoto, and it hurts. Midoriya must notice he's upset though, because that smile soon drops and his eyes become concerned.

'Todoroki-kun, are you okay?' He tilts his head to the side slightly. 'I just asked if you wanted to walk back to the dorms together? We don't have to, I just thought-'

'No, no, it's okay. I'm fine.' Shoto lies, pinching his brow and shaking his head. He needs to get a hold of himself. 'I just thought... shouldn't you be with Uraraka?'

Midoriya frowned at that, eyes scanning Shoto as if searching.

'Why would you think that?'

Shoto squeezes his eyes shut, before realising how weird that looks and reluctantly opening them again. Still, he can't bring himself to look at Midoriya as he answers him, so he turns his head and rubs the back of his neck.

'Because you're together... You like each other.' The words grate at his throat, but he refuses to show it. He's aware of Midoriya staring at him; he can't give any indication of his feelings.

'We're... we're not together?'

Despite himself, Shoto suddenly finds himself meeting confused, verdant eyes, and his crush uses that as his cue to continue. 'I mean, I like her, but only as a friend. We both... like other people anyway, so we're not-' He pauses, as if realising something. 'Is this what's been bothering you lately?'

'No.' Shoto replies way too quickly, infinitely glad they're the only ones left in the classroom at this point. In an attempt to divert the attention away from whatever that was, Shoto clears his throat, crosses his arms and tries to sound casual. 'Anyway, who's this person you like? Do I know them?'

Midoriya doesn't respond straight away - observing Shoto in a way that’s almost unnerving - but gradually, a small smile replaces the tight-lipped concern; he looks almost amused.

'You know, all this time, Uraraka's been telling me I'm oblivious as hell for not noticing how absolutely obvious you are.' Izuku's smile widens when Shoto freezes in shock. 'I told her she didn't know what she was talking about. After all, there's no way Todoroki-kun could ever like someone like me, but it seems I was wrong. That was...’ He snorts back a giggle. ‘That was really obvious.'

Shoto's heart is pounding with anxiety at having been caught; his breathing quickens and he scans the room for exits. He can't believe Midoriya knows - Midoriya, who has a crush on someone else - and now Shoto's ruined their friendship with his stupid feelings and now he’s being laughed at and-

His thoughts come to a complete halt when a calloused hand reaches out to take his own. He's shaking - they both are - and Midoriya's hand is sweaty and crooked, but it's nice and Shoto finds himself squeezing back, even though he's not entirely sure what's happening.

'Midoriya?'

'It's you, you dummy.' His best friend admits, quietly. There's a flush dusting his freckled cheeks and the tips of his ears. 'It's you that I like, not Uraraka or anyone else. She was trying to help me confess, that's why we've been spending a lot more time together recently. She's actually gonna be so annoyed that I didn't stick to her plan, but you just looked so upset and when I realised the reason why, I couldn't just let you continue to think that, and I'm rambling again, but you're still listening because you're you, so I'm gonna say it again. I like you, Todoroki-kun, so no, I shouldn't be with anyone else, okay?'

Shoto's lip wobbles as he processes the multitude of information thrown at him, but one thing stands out above the rest: Midoriya likes him... Him. His stomach hurts and he feels lightheaded, but he also feels... giddy, which isn't something he ever thought possible, but if anyone is going to be responsible for that, it's Midoriya.

Midoriya, who just admitted he also likes Shoto.

He smiles at that, his cheeks straining, but he doesn't care - he never wants to stop. Instead, he swallows heavily and nods his head frantically.

'Okay.'

I know there's probably a whole bunch of folks who've already made Tododeku proposal stuff, but here's my take on it lol

Izuku: ...hey, Shoto?

Shoto: Yes? *Sort of distracted, staring at something.*

Izuku: So, I keep remembering that you don't like your last name very much.

Shoto: *Turning around, ready to laugh* Yeah, what tipped you o-

Izuku: *Down on one knee, holding a ring, sweating bullets.*

Izuku: ...do you happen to like Midoriya any better?

Shoto: *Stunned silence, then he just grins like an idiot and nods. Words have failed him.*

Izuku: So then... Shoto possibly-soon-to-be-Midoriya... Will you marry me?

Shoto: *Tearing up* I think I could do that.

I think Shoto would be the one to originally confess, but Izuku would be the one to propose. And when Shoto confessed, it would be either a beautiful confession at exactly the wrong time(Like, one or both of them might die in 2 minutes level bad timing), or just completely out of the blue and by accident.

Like, two options:

Shoto: Izuku... In case this doesn't go well, I just need to know that you're more than a friend to me. I love you more than I could possibly express, and I hope that you feel the same way.

Izuku: *Covered in battle wounds, panting heavily, just got them to shelter from another barrage* Okay, I feel the same way, but this is very much not the time!

OK, so thinking about a Sanlu au where Luffy is a Pirate King who gets so many marriage requests but does not want to get married. And so he instead insists that he gets to choose his partner through a contest where all the princes and princesses of like the countries around them or other pirates can like bring him a meal and if he likes it, you get married. The problem is that whenever people bring him food he'll just eat it and move on.

And so obviously the vinsmokes are like. Oh s***, we should get in on that. New Ally? And so they try with some of Sanji's others brothers, but none of them like work because they just made their cooks make their meals and everything.

Then eventually sanji, who wants to escape hears about this. And he knows that he can cook so he makes this amazing meat dish He is ready to present his meal towards the Prince in hopes of like maybe escaping his country and living there with Luffy. But like as he's on the way there, there's like this little girl who's starving, and so he gives her the meal instead. It was a one in a million shot anyway.

Anyway, either Luffy sees him doing this or if this was like the true test for kindness for all his partners, and sanji passes the test. Luffy's like get bring this man to me! So sanji goes before him, and luffy asks if he has a meal for him. All sanji has is like, this old sandwhich that he made for himself for the journey here, and sanji tells luffy that. Luffy tells him to bring it to him anyway, and after a lot of protests, he does. Luffy finally eats it and says that its delicious. He and sanji definitely get married.

Sorry for dumping this on you, but your artwork made me literally fall in love with sanlu so I wanted to share this middle of the night idea with you lol.

Luffy's one requirement for a spouse being that they have to cook well is SO on brand for him tbh. I feel like that's something that would be canon too. (Thinks about a situation like that in canon where Luffy's like well nobody can cook better than Sanji so I'll just marry Sanji! And Sanji double takes like wait what hold on a second--)

Even funnier would be if Luffy just met Sanji's brothers and was like. I don't like their vibes they seem mean. And all three of them being SO offended at that lmao

ALSO YES THE CALLBACK TO WCI with Sanji's little lunch basket...the food is a total mess it's been rained on and dropped and looks awful but Luffy eats it anyway and says it's delicious...and Sanji's like oh oh oh I think I'm in love with him. Uh-oh.

DON'T APOLOGIZE THIS IS SOOO ADORABLE I'm so glad I got you hooked on Sanlu they are so underrated!!! Going slightly off topic here but I think it's really funny how predictable I am when it comes to getting into new media. Step 1 I watch a show and slowly discover who my Favorites are. Step 2 I end up shipping those favorites together. Step 3 I make that everybody else's problem. Also that ship almost always ends up being the less popular one for some reason?? Which is SO funny to me. Looks at Trustedpartner/Diode, Yujikiri and Tododeku as the most obvious examples of this along with Sanlu
