You once were bitter.
You once said atrocious things.
You once pushed away someone you should have kept close.
With each step taken on the soft duvet of the snow, its audible crunch noise fusing with your ragged breath to fill the dead surrounding silence, your mind inaudibly traveled down the memories it contained.
Donquixote Rosinante.
The way he suddenly joined the marines. How his smile at first made him look like an incompetent fool. A fool who was ridiculously clumsy. Constantly slipping at the worst opportune moments, yet somehow managing to produce results. Much to your annoyment. A fool who left you no choice but to keep an eye on him. Not because you cared. But because sparing yourself from the earful of superiors was a must. Had knowledge of how this personal involvement with him would evolve reached your ears, you would’ve recoiled and kept to yourself. With each moment sown in the passing of time, intriguing sides of his personality weaved itself to your conscience. His kindness. His attempt at positivity. Even his smile seemed to make him less of a fool.
Well shit.
A fool had embroidered an assemblage of feelings into your heart. Each stitch tugged at your heartstrings until your whole body became a puppet of the troublesome sensation. Stomach churning, face reddening and eyes swaying. Thankfully the fool also had the same condition. Reciprocating feelings with his large grin and an embrace so wide it left you floating in his arms.
Then came the happiness. The stolen moments during work. The modest time together at marine bases. The planned day offs. The prude holding of hands. The flashing of his heartwarming smile. The meeting of impatient lips. The running of love hungry bodies. The promises of a shared future.
The news of his upcoming undercover mission.
It had broken the spell casted upon you by the clumsy fool. The threads around your heart had grown so thick through the passage of time. So elaborate. So delicate. So intricate. Yet ever so fragile. No matter how sturdy embroidery was, it still remained vulnerable to sharpness. It was all that easy to cut a thread. After all, all it took was knowing that the one who weaved the pattern one day decided to halt the continuation of the project. Therefore making it hard for the person who had once been patternless to comply.
“Why would you propose to do such a dangerous mission?” Bitter words flowed from your lips while your gaze held resentment and betrayal.
Rosinante stood on the other end of the sitting room, leaning against the window, glancing at your restless form that paced around. “Because he’s my brother and I know what he’s capable of. Doflamingo must be put down.”
“That doesn’t mean you have to be the one to do it!” Your hands extended towards him before lowering in a fist.
Rosinante avoided your gaze. “He’ll be more inclined to let his guard down because I’m his blood brother.”
“He’s a madman!” You exclaimed without regard for your lover's feelings. “He wouldn’t be swayed by some brotherhood bond. If it was so easy, he wouldn’t have parted ways with you in the first place.”
“That’s because I was a different person as a child.” His lips curved downward at  the mention of the past.
A sigh escaped your lips. “Rosinante, please reconsider this.” The two of you had been content together. And now you found yourself desperately grasping that reality.
Sending a warm smile to ease any concern, Rosinante took on a softer tone. “I promise to write to you and call occasionally when I can,” he tilted his head in a way that he knew usually made you fold.
However it served as fuel to the rage that boiled inside of you. “Is that supposed to make me feel better?! While you’re out there pretending to be mute in the lion’s den, I’m supposed to nod and smile in relief through every one of your life signals?!”
His eyes widened at the backlash, while his hands raised in a defensive manner. “You don’t have to put it that way.”
“You’re right, because it sounds ridiculous!” You exhaled through your nose, momentarily halting your pacing. How could he act so dismissively towards the situation when his life was on the line?
“I swear I’ll be alright.” Rosinante put a hand on his chest, forming a thumbs up with the other while his grin flashed towards you.
Truthfully, your blood boiled more and more with his every word, but you decided to take a deep breath to make your point. “I don’t care how many promises, pacts or pledges you make, this is not a great idea. You will be exposed to constant dangers and you cannot guarantee your safety.”
Living with the knowledge that the man who had permanently changed the state of your heart lived everyday with a foot in both death and life would be the start of countless worries and anxiety.
“Dangers are part of the life of a marine. We’ve both experienced it.” Rosinante pointed out with a shrug.
“Except our missions aren’t expected to drag for many years. We’re not some kind of secret agents. Nor were we trained for it.” A hand ran through your hair in desperation.
With  the smile now long gone from his features, Rosinante spoke more seriously. “But this is what I want to do. Something I have decided for myself.”
“Without any regards for me whatsoever.” The words came bolting like an accusation. You didn't mean to, but felt too sweet up to dismiss it as a slip of the tongue.
“That’s not true. You know you mean a great deal to me.” He shook his head, leaving behind his leaning stance against the window to emphasize his claim. He had even taken a step towards you as though it was to contain all of his sentimentality.
Your body took a step back in response while your chest grew heavy, your gaze wavered and your voice lost its edge. “If so then why do I feel like I don’t have a say in the matter? Why do I feel like I’m the one being unreasonable right now? Why do I feel like I’m the only one who’s trying to protect us?!”
“I understand and hear your worries. But you must trust in me saying that I will come back to you.” Rosinante tried closing the distance by taking strides in your direction but froze when he saw you moving further back.
“I do not trust in a man that throws his life away.” You sternly affirmed, holding your gaze with his before lowering it.
A stream of sorrow drenched Rosinante's features at your sight. At your words. “It pains me to hear you say you have such little faith in me.” His voice mirrored the desolation of his emotions.
One of your hands grabbed your opposite arm, clutching the skin while your lips took on a dejected pout. “It pains me more to be the only one constantly trying to fight for what we have.”
“I put in just as much effort.” Rosinante expressed, slightly upset that his actions were being shoved under the rug.
But you were dead set in your pettiness. “Yes, when you weren’t obsessively buttering yourself up as a marine no matter how much I worried seeing you overexert yourself, until you eventually made it in the good books of Rengoku and smiled at me like nothing happened.”
“I already apologized for this.” Rosinante said with patience.
“And will you apologize in the future for this too if you don’t come back to me as a corpse?” Your eyes met his, and this time he looked away.
A silence reigned. Thick and heavy. Leaving behind a trail of uneasiness.
“You know you did this to me,” you almost inaudibly said.
“What exactly?” Rosinante asked with furrowed eyebrows.
“This whole feeling and falling in love thing. It was never what I sought when I joined the marines. I even surprised myself thinking of maybe quitting this dangerous lifestyle in the hopes of having a more stable future with you.” The confession came with the increase of your heartbeat and the burning of your cheeks.
Rosinante remained silent for a moment. “Right.” He slowly nodded. “I’m sorry I brought this upon you.”
“Excuse me?”
An underhanded move on your part but why was he apologizing?
“I’m sorry I made your job more complicated for you. I’m sorry you’ve fallen in love with me only for our goals to differ in the end.”
The words came hammering at your chest and accelerating your already speeding heart. With his innuendo, you found yourself lightheaded. “I-ls that it?” You asked, almost baffled.
Rosinante slid his hands in his pockets. “It depends on you. My feelings still and will continue to remain, but my mind has been made about infiltrating the Donquixote family and whether or not you wish to walk alongside me through this path is up to you.”
You found yourself able to breathe more easily. “If I do agree then what will happen?”
“We will start considering our mutual future together in seriousness once I return.” He gave a look both serious and earnest that seemed to speak more of his convictions than his words.
It slightly unsettled you. And in all honesty, you almost fell prey to it if not for your original desire to not let him go. “Why later and not now? Why waste more time when we can do it now.”
“My brother is a threat and no future can be entertained as long as he remains with the power to ruin it all. I don’t want to see you hurt.”
How could someone be so stubborn about walking to their impending doom.
“Rosinante, if your brother cares about you enough to let you join his crew, surely he’ll be considerate enough to leave both of us alone!” You were losing patience from this back and forth.
Rosinante shook his head. “It’s not just about us, but also the countless other people who will be hurt if he stays on the loose.”
Marines and their goddamn sense of justice.
“For god’s sake, can you stop being so considerate and learn to be selfish? This is about our future! Our happiness!” You almost rolled your eyes.
“I can’t!” Hearing him raise his voice startled you. “I cannot think of either as long as he remains.” He finished on a quieter note.
He had told you of his past. Bleak, gruesome and cruel. No child would get out unscathed. A heap of trauma was to be expected and yet you couldn't help but add, “you mean you cannot do anything until you get closure. Not done by anyone else but by you specifically.”
Thankfully Rosinante was good natured enough not to send daggers to you through a glare as his gaze remained serious yet not without affection. “Then you realize why I must stop him.”
“So you won’t deny it? Wanting closure?” You arched one eyebrow.
“No. I do desire to put an end to him for my own sake too,” he admitted in a hushed tone.
“This is ridiculous,” you mumbled.
“Do you… understand now?” Rosinante took the opportunity to take careful little steps towards you.
“Yes. I understand perfectly well that there is no hope in you putting us first.” Your words, accompanied by your cold gaze, froze him.
And silence fell. One in which both of you replayed the memories of years together like a lifetime flashing before one's eye before death. It held the reality of the situation on a silver platter.
“Is that your choice?” Rosinante asked, his lips forming a thin line.
“Yes.”
The crisp air of the winter island tingled your cheeks, violently brushing past them. Your lungs inhaled a trail of frost that propagated in your entire body, chilling its temperature until even your coat failed to warm you. Selfishly you had asked to be transferred under vice admiral Tsuru who was known to desperately sail after the Donquixote family. And through those similar self interested measures did you ask to venture the island for a proper assessment of the damages left done, promising to bring in a report afterwards. As such your steps led you in search of someone who had rendered you a crying mess one too many times over the past years.
You weren’t walking to be forgiven. The slow pace that led you upwards the island weren’t about to run asking for intimate threads to be weaved again. Your irregular breaths who faltered under the pressure of the weather did not desire to reunite with a familiar taste. Your eyes that struggled to discern one thing from another wouldn’t hunt for a glimpse of approval. You desired nothing. Such behavior would only be embarrassing. The decision that had been yours made everything slip out of your grasp. Embroidery wasn’t a one person thing. It was a forged bond between its weaver and the threads. Working together. The threads had already thinned through the unaccommodating passage of time and the weaver had long since been gone. There was nothing left to salvage. Starting over wouldn’t be the same. No pieces were exactly the same.
Simply, it was that wrenching, skin peeling sensation, burning down your gut which turned your stomach upside down that egged you forward. Further and further ahead until you noticed a familiar figure draped in a black feathered mess laying about in the snow. A splatter of blood surrounding it.
Ignoring the mess that surrounded the area, you rushed onwards. Your breathing growing into a wheeze. Your heart racing until it amounted to nothing but a pound in your head. Your ears ringing, preventing noise from reaching by mirroring the dull silence of snow. And your body temperature that had once been chilled found itself rising into such a burning mess that it left sweat running down as an aftermath.
The closer you got, the weaker your legs became. Until finally your knees found themselves unable to support you anymore. With this forced crawling position, the reality presented itself bare at the level of your vision.
The foolish smile hidden behind an unknown tattoo made it too evident that it was him.
A blur came to seize your eyes. Inaudible sounds and lamentation failed to exit your trembling open mouth. Your entire body shook under its weight, crashing like a boulder on the still form that gathered snow now that the pristine color had recognized it as a part of the land. While your hands clutched unfamiliar fabric and your cheek robbed against what should have been warmth, the wails and sobs found their way into the world. Blazing your throat in their passage to fill the silence with absolute terror. The tears that streamed found themselves exchanging their heat with a foreign cold, burning themselves deeper and deeper into the fabric like a healing spell.
You now are broken.
You now said your farewells.
You now clutched someone so tightly, regretting not having tried harder to keep them close.

 The cold crimson snow below Cora was nothing compared to the fierce warmth he felt in his heart. His mission to stop his brother may have failed, but at least one of his goals was achieved. Gotta live a little bit longer. His breaths were becoming shorter and shorter as he clung onto his last strand of life. I can’t let my power wear off, not yet.
 His eyes flutter in a battle to stay  conscious. Not yet, not until Law is free… Despite his best efforts his eyes closed, but before he could slip into the afterlife a sharp pain blossomed in his right forearm. The pain was enough for him to reopen his eyes. Y/N.. With his remaining life force he used his left hand to pull up his sleeve revealing the sentence on his right arm. “Hey blondie, what time is it and why are you on fire?” A weak smile forms on his  lips, remembering the first time he heard those words.
(Flashback)
 “Do you think I have enough time to get one last smoke in before this starts?” Rosinante dug through his pockets, looking for his trusty fix.
 “You do, Commander, just be quick about it.” A sense of pride swelled in Rosi’s chest, hearing his soon to be new title come from the very man he looked up to. He nodded and started walking out but was stopped when a large hand rested on his shoulder.. “Rosinante..” The dark haired man smiled. “ I just wanted to tell you how proud I am of you, son.”
 “I’m honored. Thank you Fleet Admiral Sengoku.” The blonde had to suppress a huge smile as his father figure praised him.
 “You're welcome, and you better get going if you want that smoke.” Sengoku motioned to the large stage where high ranking Navy officers were gathering.
 “Right, I’ll be quick.”
 Rosinante walked outside of the Navy’s banquet hall with a cigarette hanging loosely between his lips as he tried to find a secluded place to smoke. Eventually he found an empty balcony that had a perfect view of the city below. Flames erupted from the lighter as he took a deep inhale of smoke. The nicotine instantly soothed his built up nerves.
 He knew being promoted to a commander meant more work and even more responsibility. But it also gave him more power and more control, two things he was going to need if he wanted to reach his end goal. Taking his older brother, Doflamingo, down.
 He took a deep inhale of smoke as his fathers last moments and words echo his mind. He was only 8 years old when Doflamingo shot and killed their father. It was in that moment bloodshed he realized just how far gone his brother was. And judging from the recent reports surrounding his evil doings  and his bounty that increases almost daily, Doflamingo was completely irredeemable at this point.
 The cigarette in between his lips had reached its end and considering the stress thinking about his brother caused, a second one was well deserved. “I still have a few years to plan, until then stay cool.” He brought the lighter up to the fresh cigarette. “I better hurry or Sengoku will kill m-”
 Rosi tensed up as he noticed a flash of violet in the distance.What the hell was that? He had never seen anything like it before. Maybe in a different situation he would find it mesmerizing or even cool. But it was heading straight for the navy banquet hall, more specifically it looked like it was coming straight at him and fast. Too fast for him to react.
 The sparking ball of violet was closing in and he couldn’t make his body move a muscle. It was so close he could hear the strange almost electrical noise it emitted. Are we under attack? The anomaly was now floating in the air a few feet away from the balcony's edge. The breath in his throat hitched as the ball shot up ever so slightly into the air, the electrical noise it made was much louder and it appeared to be getting bigger.
 Rosi snapped out of his trance and took a defensive position, only to find himself back in a trace as the ball of violet sparks turned into the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Her (H/C) hair fluttered behind her as she gracefully descended from the air and onto the balcony’s railing. All the worry in him disappeared seeing the familiar outfit she wore..
 “Hey blondie, what time is it and why are you on fire?” His forearm began to tingle. She’s..
 “You're an angel…” The words left Rosi’s mouth before he could process  what she said. A small gasp left the girl as she looked down at her left wrist.
 “Your..” Her (E/C) eyes met his red ones. She held up her wrist to show the words he had just spoken, tattooed into her skin. “You're my soulmate….. And you're still on fire.” The girl jumped from the railing, taking her navy coat off in the process. She gave him a sweet, innocent smile before wacking the fire out with her coat, doing so with such a brute force it sent Rosi to the ground. “There we go, crisis averted.” She bent down slightly and offered her hand to him.
 “I appreciate the gesture, but I’m tall and hea- '' His words were lost in his throat as the girl took the hand he was waving in the air and pulled him up almost effortlessly.
 “Tall yes.” She took a moment to look up at him. “Heavy no, or at least not for a woman as strong as me.” For a few moments they just stared at each other smiling without a care in the world. That is until Rosi remembered he had somewhere to be.
 “Can we meet up and talk later? I’m about to get promoted at the ceremony.”
 “You are?” His soulmate jumped a little in excitement causing a blush to form on Rosi’s face. She is so cute. “That makes two of us! We better hurry!” She grabbed his hand and started to run towards the banquet hall.
 Once the pair reached the venue, they had to go their separate way thanks to the seating arrangement. But that didn’t stop Rosi from keeping an eye on her in admiration. She was a couple seats away sitting next to vice admiral Garp. Rosinante leaned back in his chair a little more to see she had the same idea as him. She smiled at him and was about to mouth something to him, that was until Vice Admiral Garp leaned back, stretching his bulking body. Damn that old man.
 “The ceremony will be starting now.” Vice Admiral Tsuru stood at the stage's podium. “First we will be naming the new Commanders.” One by one she called the men and women up to the stage until.. “Donquixote Rosinante.” Rosi nervously walked onto the stage (Cautiously so he didn't trip and embarrass himself in front of his new found soul mate.) “On behalf of the Navy, we congratulate you and thank you for your continued service.” He bent down so Tsuru could place a pin onto his navy uniform, making him officially a commander. He looked to the crowd to see his soulmate standing up and clapping with a smile that made his heart swell. He gave her a sheepish wave before finding his seat.
 “Up next we will be naming the new vice admiral who will be taking over our G-7 unit.” Tsuru announced. “L/N F/N, please come to the stage.” Rosi watched in Awe as his soulmate, who he now knows as Y/N, walked up to the stage with power in each of her steps. “All of navy HQ would like to congratulate you on your promotion and continued service.”  Rosi had stars in his eyes as she was given the white overcoat reserved only for the vice admirals..
 “THAT’S MY GIRL.” A gruff voice yelled out. Rosi turned to see Garp hysterically crying. “If only my son would have been smart like her.” He mumbled out the last part.
 “That concludes today's ceremony. Good luck to you all in your new positions.” Tsuru walked away from the stage and people began to file out of the room. He looked up to see Y/N walking towards him with a smile on her face.
 “Are you okay?” Y/N looked down at her soulmate who had fallen back in his chair thanks to the shock.
 “I am.” He smiled up at her. “I am more than okay.I just can’t believe my soulmate is someone so cool.”
 “Thanks.” A blush formed on her cheeks at Rosi’s complement.
 “So.. Umm.. We have a lot to talk about huh?” Rosinante stood up and ran a hand through his blonde locks in an attempt to calm down.
 “That we do.” She shook her head in agreement. “I know just the place we can go!” She grabbed his hand  and led him out of the banquet hall.
 ~~~~
 “This is it!” Y/N fell back onto the field of flowers that overlooked the sea. “What do you think, Rosinante?”
 “It’s beautiful.” Rosi sat down beside her. But It doesn't compare to you. “ And you can just call me Rosi.”
 “Rosi it is.” She smiled before moving her head to rest in his lap. “So question. Just how tall are you?”
 “Nine foot seven..” Her eyes widened hearing how tall her soulmate was. “And a half.”
 “And a half!” Rosi laughed at her shocked face. “You have me beat, I’m (Height).”
 “I do. But I think you may have me beat in strength, little Miss Vice Admiral.” His hands dug through his jacket until he pulled out his cigarettes. “Do you mind?”
 “Not at all, actually here.” Y/N brought her hand up to the end of his cigarette. A familiar violet colored spark came from her fingertip, lighting his cigarette. “You’ll never have to buy a lighter again as long as I’m around.” She said proudly.
 “Thank you.” He took a deep drag and exhaled the smoke away from her. “I’ve been meaning to ask what that power was. Is it a devil fruit?”
 “It sure is.” She stood up from the flower field. “I ate the Plasma-Plasma fruit, making me a plasma woman.” She jumped into the air before turning into the same ball of sparks that had him freaking out hours earlier. He watched as Y/N displayed her powers to him. Seeing her pop up out of nowhere only to turn into a ball of plasma a second later had him in awe. After a few minutes of zipping through the sky she landed right into his lap. Fierce heat traveled to both of their cheeks. “I’m sorry, sometimes I don’t stick the landing.” She gave him a sheepish grin before attempting to crawl away from him.
 “It’s okay..” Rosi brought his arm around her body, urging Y/N closer. “Having you close feels nice.”
 “I couldn't agree with you more.” She brought her head down to rest on his abs. “So question…why were you on fire earlier?”
 “I’m a smoker who Is also really clumsy.” The moment the words left his mouth Y/N jumped  away from his lap. “Y/N are you okay?” She raised an eyebrow at him before motioning to the lit cigarette in his mouth. “OH.” He took the cigarette out of his mouth and waited for it to go out. “You can come back now.” He laughed nervously with an outreached hand, which Y/N gladly took. “But I’m clumsy in other ways too, less dangerous ways.”
 “Like falling over in your chair?” Y/N looked up at him with a smirk on her face.
 “Bingo.” Rosi wrapped both arms around her before pulling the both of them back to lay on the flower field. “So you know my fun little fact. So tell me one about you?”
 “Have you ever heard the rumor about the marine who killed a sea king while they were sleepwalking?”
 “Yes I have.” Rosi had heard plenty of rumors in his rookie years, but this one stood out. It was unforgettable. “Apparently it was a rookie who was on Garp’s fleet. They had a really bad sleep walking habit and from what I heard they sometimes tried to challenge Garp to a duel in that state.” Rosi recalls all of the lore surrounding the mysterious Marine. “But the story goes something like this I think. It was the middle of the night when a huge sea king came out of nowhere and started to attack the ship. Two rookies were on the night watch that night, so they panicked. They went to wake up the crew and met the sleepwalking Marine while doing so. The marine proceeded to walk right towards the towering sea king and looked at it with foggy eyes before knocking it across the ocean with a single kick.” Rosi laughed. “I wish I knew if it was real or not. If it was, I wonder who the guy was?”
 “It wasn’t a guy..”
 “Huh?”
 “It was a girl..”
 “Really? How do you know?”
 “I know because it was me!” Y/N’s cheery voice mixed with Rosi’s mental image of her taking down a sea king with a single kick. “Ever since that day I tie my foot to my bedpost with a shoe string. Just in case.”..... “Rosi?”...... “Rosi?”
 “Y/N.” Rosi lifted up from the flower field and rummaged around in his pockets. “Here it is!” He pulled out a marker. “Please sign my jacket!”
 “HUH?” Y/N gave him a confused look. “Sign your jacket? Why?”
 “Because you are the woman, the myth, no… the legend. My soulmate is..” Rosi grabbed her shoulder before lifting her up like she weighed nothing. “The sleepwalking sea king slayer!” He spun her around before they both toppled over laughing.
 “Am I really that popular?” She grabbed the marker that had fallen with them and pulled his coat open to the side. “To my biggest fan~” Y/N signed her name and drew a small doodle of a sea king getting kicked by her. “Here, it’s your turn.” She handed the confused Rosi a marker before laying down with her vice admiral jacket open. “You can draw something on mine too!”
 “Before I do this.” He smoothed the fabric down where he wanted to draw. “I’m not good at drawing. With that being said, any requests?” Y/N Shook her head.
 “Just draw what comes to heart.”
~Flashback end~
 “Y/N. I’m sorry.” Her name left his mouth like a guilty prayer. “Just know I love you so much and I ...” Blood spilled from his lips as he muttered his final words. “I did it. Law is finally free.”
 And with that, Donquixote Rosinante, the man known as Corazon, took his last breath.
~~~Somewhere out at sea on the G-7’s main ship.~~~
  Y/N sat at her desk filing paperwork and thinking about a certain blonde. She pulled the white coat off and looked at the fading doodle Rosi drew on it all those years ago. It was a simple heart with their initials in it. I miss him
 Y/N sighed playing with the silver chain around her neck. With a gentle tug on the chain she revealed the heart shaped locket he gifted her. She smiled seeing the engraving “You’re an angel.” Y/N clicked the locket open, her smile only grew wider seeing her and Rosinante’s wedding photos. On one side he was holding her up in his arms, and on the other side it was her holding him. A knock at her door pulled her from her romantic reminiscing.
 “Come in!” She tucked the locket back under her shirt before one of her men walked in.
 “Can you sign off on these documents for me? They are urgent.” The man walked up to the desk and held the stack of  papers out.
 “Can do!” Y/N reached out with her right arm and stopped when a searing pain formed in her forearm. “What the, FUCK.” She yelped while bringing her arm down on the table.
 “Vice admiral are you okay?!” The man watched as she was unable to form words, instead she slammed her head against the desk and pointed at her right arm. “I understand.” He slowly brought her sleeve up to reveal the cause of the tremendous pain she was in. What she didn’t know, it was only the start. “Vice admiral L/N, I. I think..”
 “What’s wrong?” She brought her head up from the desk and felt her body turn cold. At that moment she recalled something Tsuru had said to her many years ago. “There had been reports in the past of soulmates dying and their last words would show up on their partner in the spot where their first words were”  That explains why she is seeing the words on her right forearm.
 “Y/N, I’m sorry…… Just know I love you so much and I….I did it. Law is finally free.”
 “Leave.” The man nodded before shuffling out of the room. Y/N looked at the fresh words on her arm. “Rosi.” He can’t be. Her lips trembled as tears began to pour down her face. The pain she felt was beyond what words could describe. She had lost her soulmate, her home, her safety, her comfort, her Rosi. He was gone.
 Her cries could be heard all across the G-7 ship. The men and women aboard the ship held their heads low as their admiral mourned her lost lover. After a week  the cries had turned into sniffles, after a month it was silent. She never came out of the office, none of the food they sent her was ever eaten, and she never spoke more than a few words. She had become an empty shell.
~~~~
 “Wake up Y/N.” Her eyes opened to a bright blue sky. She slowly lifted off of the ground and looked around. It took her no time to know where she was. The flower field. “You know I fell in love with you that day you brought me here.”
 “Rosi?” She turned and saw nothing. “Rosi, where are you?” She got up and froze when two arms wrapped around her midsection from behind.
 “Y/N.” His grip tightened. “I am so sorry.” She felt something wet at the nape of her neck. “I’ve watched you go through all this torment and I could not take it any longer. .” Her body froze. “I don’t have much time.”
 “Rosi.” She tried to turn around to see him, but his arms kept her caged in.
 “Not yet love.” His voice was soft and comforting, just the way she remembered. “Y/N I love you and I will always watch over you.” Lips ghosted the crook of her neck. “But you can’t keep going on like this. You're alive but if you keep this up..” His voice cracked.. “Live Y/N, please. Promise me you will.”
 “How can I?” Tears started to stream down her face.
 “You can because that’s what I want… More than anything..” Y/N’s eyes widened. “There is a time and place for all of us to die, but your time is not now or anytime soon. So angel, would you do me the honors of letting me watch you live, even though I can’t be with you?”
 “It’s funny.” Y/N sniffled. “You're calling me an angel.”
 “I guess we are both angels now… Wait no.” The familiar clumsy panic in his tone brought a bittersweet smile to her face. “You are an angel metaphorically, I am a real angel.”
 “That you are.” A final tear rolled down her face. “But to answer your question I will.”
 “Good.” A large hand covered her right forearm. “I know this is selfish of me, but I want to kiss you one last time Y/N.”
 “If you're selfish, I’m selfish.” She turned around and jumped into her lover's arms to give him a final kiss. When she pulled back a bright light appeared behind him.
 “I have to go now.” He watched as the smile left Y/N lips. “I need another favor from you.”
 “Anything.”
 “When you think of me.” He grabbed her right arm and planted a kiss right next to his final words. “I want you to always have a smile on your face. Just like this.” Seeing the same goofy smile on his lips , the one  she fell in love caused one of her own to form.
 “I love you forever and always Rosi.”
 “I love you too.” He turned around and started to walk away from her. “I’ll be waiting for you, and you know I’m patient , so there is no need to rush okay?”
 “Okay.”
 “Goodbye for now, my angel.”
 ~~~~
 She woke up in a daze wondering if what happened was a dream or real. Her fingers hooked around her sleeve, gently pulling it up  to reveal Rosi’s final words to her. But that wasn’t the only thing. Out from the words was a smiley face, one that looked just like his, in the spot he had kissed.
 ~Bonus~
 “Captain Law.” Bepo came running up to his captain who sat on a cargo box. “A vice admiral's ship has been spotted on the other side of the island.”
 “Go find the others and let them know we are leaving immediately.” Law ordered.
 “Yes sir!” The white bear ran off as Law placed his chin in his hands. Just what I needed.
 “A vice admiral?” Law’s body tensed up. “That sounds serious.” Law slowly turned to his side to see a (H/C) woman sitting on the cargo box right next to one he was on. She was eating a bag of candy and didn’t seem to have a care in the world. “Want some?” She held the bag out to Law.
 “No.” Law raised his eyebrow. “Thanks?” Law got a better look at her and saw what she had on Dammit it all. His tattooed hand reached for his sword.
 “Don’t even think about it.” The woman smirked at Law. “Don’t you have any clue as to who I am?”
 “I don’t..” Law was sweating bullets at this point. “Want to give me a hint?”
 “Have you ever heard of the Marine who killed a sea king while sleep walking?”
 “I have. They called her the Sleepwalking Sea King Slayer.”
 “How did you know it was a ‘her’?”
 “What are you getting at?” Something shiny was thrown into Law’s lap. A locket? He clicked it opened. “Wait.” Law stood up and looked at the woman shocked.
 “To answer some of the questions I’m sure you have.” She stood up on the cargo box. “The woman you see before you is indeed the Sleepwalking sea king slayer.” Law looked up at her in shock. “And I’m also Rosi’s wife. Or should I say Cora’s wife.” Law was glad the rest of the crew was gone. A guilt he carried for well over 11 years had bubbled to the surface.
 “I’m sorry, it’s my fault he di-” The woman pulled the boy into a tight hug.
 “Don’t finish that sentence.” She gave him a few pats on the back before pulling away. “Just so I’m clear, I don’t in the slightest, blame you for what happened. And as you can see.” She pulled up her sleeve showing Law the Last words Cora said. “He died happy knowing you were free.” Law sniffled into the sleeve of his hoodie. “I see that you honor his legacy well.” She motioned to jolly Roger on the side of his submarine.
 “He meant everything to me.”
 “You meant just as much to him.” She smiled thinking of all the times he called her in secret to talk about how Law was doing. “I apologize for not coming to see you sooner. I say that like I’m supposed to see you at all.” She laughed. “Here take this. It’s the number to my personal transponder snail. Call me if you ever need to hear a funny story, because when it comes to Cora… Let’s just say I have a bunch.” Law took the paper from her hands and put it in his pocket.
 “Will do.” He smiled. “What’s your name?”
 “The sleepwalking sea king slayer, didn’t I tell you already?” Law rolled his eyes. “It’s Y/N.”
 “Will I ever see you again Y/N?”
 “Well..” She turned around to show the black letter on the jacket. “You better hope and pray you don’t.”
 “Fair enough.”
 “Well it’s been fun talking with you.” She threw Law the now empty candy bag in his hands before walking away. “One more thing.”
 “What’s that?”
“You need to smile more.” The woman gave him a toothy grin and then in the blink of a eye, disappeared.
“I’ll try.”

SILENCE (Law Trafalgar x Reader)
(You accidentally make something very dear to your captain)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Cora-San, i can't sleep," little Law yawned, sitting up, making sure his blanket was wrapped around him enough to keep him warm. Cora-San turned around and sat beside Law, "is it the noises that are keeping you awake?" He asked, and Law nodded. Cora-San smiled, "lay down" Law did, Cora-San placed a gentle hand on Law's head, "Calm," He said then again he removed his hand motioning it away he said, "silence!" The noises were gone, little Law giggled before placing his head back on the blanket and immediately fell asleep.
Law stared at his room wall blinking the memories away. Cora-San always made it easy for him to fall asleep now the rain was slamming on the window of his room and Law couldn't sleep at all.
Meanwhile you were in your work-room fixing a machine that you have been working on for months. "What are you doing up late?" You turned your head towards the door to find Bepo standing there rubbing his eyes, "Oh, sorry did I wake you up? I was being quiet." He shook his head, "No, I just woke up because of the rain." You nodded getting back to putting the last pieces of the small objects together, "yeah, the rain is very loud tonight, Captain doesn't it like it either. Do you want me to make you something to drink, Bepo?"
He shook his head again, "Nah, I'm fine just don't stay up late, you'll be tired in the morning, okay? Goodnight."
"Sleep well, Bepo." With that he left the room and you placed the last pieces together and stretched your arms up and walked a bit in the room. A huge smile on your face as you tested the machine and it worked! You were excited to show your captain the machine you made especially for him.
You knew he probably wasn't asleep when you walked to his room and gently knocked on the door, "come in." You heard Law's voice on the other side before you entered the room to find him now sitting on his chair with a book open on the table, "uhh, sorry for interrupting you this late captain but I need to show you something and it's a- I uh- it's very important and I'm sure you will like it."
Law stood up and walked towards you standing near, "what is it?" He asked and you forwarded your arms. He saw the small machine in your hands, "this? What is it?"
"Uh-" you scratched the back of your hair, "let me show you, you just push on this little red button here and..." You pushed the red button and a light blue covers the room, "Silence." You said with excitement. Law gasped at the sound of the rain hitting the window was nowhere to be heard, he looked at the window and could notice the raindrops still hitting the window but no sound was heard.
"...uh, it's a Silencing machine I made, it blocks all the sound within 20 meters from you so when you are trying to block the sound of the raindrops which you said that doesn't help with your sleep you can use it to Silence the whole room or it also can be helpful when you are trying to work and the crew is being lou-"
You didn't get to finish your rambling because you gasp at the sudden action of Law hugging you tight, he never did that. You just stood there confused but managed to hug him back tapping on his back for comfort, "Thank you so much, thank you so much for this." You smiled, "No problem, Captain." What you didn't know is that you unknowingly reminded him of his Cora-San with this small machine.

Patience is a virtue
Learning to trust isn't easy, especially when you're still picking up the pieces from the past. Even though the desire to get to know you is a nawing persistence, he values your boundaries. Whenever you decide to open up, he'll be waiting.
a/n: idk I just have a lot of feelings.
Sanji, Ace, Corazon
CW: SFW, gn!reader, angsty(maybe?), fluff, mutual feelings
Sanji: You'd grown quiet around him. The both of you had just been starting to chat a little more. It felt nice to hear your soft laughs as he told you jokes about what had happened that day. But then, the angelic laughter came to a hault, leaving him to question what he'd said to bring such sorrow to your lovely complexion. Even without knowing what he'd done to upset you, he apologized―pleading, in a way, to move past this and get back to seeing you smile.
You needed time though. You didn't have to say it ―it was written all over your face. Backing off was a choice made with much heartache, but he did so nonetheless: deciding that persuing you in the matter would only push you further away from him.
Distancing yourself wasn't something that you'd necessarily wanted to do. However, those buds of elation and adoration sprouting were also accompanied with the bitter cold of past rejection that stifled any pursuit of happiness you were hoping for.
The erosion of the hole in you was swallowing your very being, but when this had shown to be too troublesome for others, he was still there: he didn't pry, he never rushed you, just waited for your return to him.
This was someone worth pushing those doubts aside for. The next time you spoke to him, your heart lead the way, despite your fears trailing closely behind. His warmth helped melt the frost that'd been collecting over the years.
Ace: He was growing accustomed to you rather quickly. You were certainly kind-hearted and nice to have a laugh with, all of which made him start gravitating towards you whenever you were present. There was surely an interest in you, one that he had not fully become aware of. Just as he was discovering his feelings for you, you changed gears: avoiding him, reverting back into your shell. Despite how hurt he felt, he couldn't demand you to tell him the reason―it wouldn't be fair to you.
If you needed time away from him, he would give you that. He wasn't going to force his friendship on you. That being said, this time apart was good for him, as well. Thoughts of you came and went, but many of them stayed: something interesting or funny would happen and he wanted to tell you about it but felt like he couldn't.
This time away from each other only echoed your longing for companionship; you were left with nothing but the same loneliness that'd surrounded you each time prior. Tears brought on by thoughts of the flame lit between you eventually burning out stung your eyes. Even in solitude, fear of abandonment intruded on you.
There were small glances he threw your way, none of which were harboring resentment. Instead, they showed concern. Anticipation for a row that wouldn't come: you stood there wondering what made him different.
How can I learn to trust? Can you help me? Seeing you make your way to him was the remedy he needed for the flickering flame he'd worried was losing its luster in your eyes. However, you were both sure now that it'd never go out.
Corazon: Taking the leap of faith to reveal his secrets to you was terrifying: you were, in fact, different from the others, but something like this wasn't an easy choice to make. That being said, nothing could replace the memories you two were creating together. Each day that passed, regret for the secret he'd let you in on didn't come. The bond he was under the impression you two had been forming was faltering though. It wasn't important for him to know what he'd done exactly―he just knew he wanted to make it up to you.
Your body language did the talking for you: your sunny disposition had clouds rolling in and the gloom of a storm was on the horizon. Even though he longed to come to your aid, he understood that pushing you into a conversation wouldn't fair well for your blossoming relationship.
You wanted to shield this budding love from the harsh storm brewing within. Your frail body could only do so much though when caught in this hurricane. Gale force winds, rain that lashed at your skin: abrasions which came with each potential relationship.
No stranger to the torment this world had to offer, he could see the wear and tear of your inner termoil on your soft face. It took each bit of inner strength not to go to you and tell you everything would be alright. He wanted to give you the freedom to choose to share your burdens with him. In spite of the distance between the both of you, his eagerness to rescue you from yourself was unmistakable.
I can't carry on through this storm alone. Can you be the one I lean on? Finding your way back to him, he instinctively held our his arms to wrap you in the warmth you'd been in desperate need of, yet unable to secure it up till now. You were now fully prepared to take your own leap of faith.

Song Suggestion: “Wake Me Up” - Postmodern JukeBox
Tumblr media
The air carrying the tide towards your feet felt as thick and heavy as the encumbering weight on your heart. Frozen remnants of falling snow stuck to your cheeks, your eyelashes collecting a small amount of dust to coat your follicles in the crisp breeze. Aside from the peace found in momentary stasis, your mind was racing and your soul screaming for release.
Trafalgar D Water-Law was dying. The boy you took under your wing, the child you cared for, the adolescent who held your heart in his hands was dying. He was not going to make it without consuming the Op-Op Fruit, a cruel reality that had finally caught up with you.
You were so close. So unbelievably close to getting his cure - his fate balancing on the edge of a knife in the steely grasp of Donquixote Doflamingo. A cure like this was not something that would be gifted freely, both you and Rosinante knew this for a fact. There was no amount of convincing, scheming, bribing, groveling, or begging you could do to gather this cure for the sickly child you both loved. It needed to be claimed by force, and claimed now.
Finding solace in the small moment you carved aside, you allowed yourself the luxury of hot tears rolling down your cheeks: consumed by the grief in the dire situation you found yourself within. You were simply unable to carry the weight of these harsh and raw emotions any longer. What began as a small sniff through your nose quickly and quietly escalated into soft sobs. As the sorrow was released, you felt the weight grow heavier in your heart and expand to encumber your chest.
Drawing up your knees and cradling them against you, you turned your head away from the shack as your shoulders shook with each whimpered sob. You desperately hoped to any deity that was listening that you were far enough away from your home for the night to hold your sobs in silence, not alerting or disturbing your two companions as they lay in slumber.
Stalking slowly towards you, aided in silence by his devil-fruit abilities, Donquixote Rosinante was approaching you in your sorrow. His hand stuttered forward, wanting desperately to place it down on your shoulder and give it a gentle squeeze in consoling your release of your emotions.
He, himself, knew this feeling, and he knew this feeling well. Giving into his feelings a few weeks earlier, while drinking a vast amount of sake straight from the bottle. He felt helpless in the overwhelming devastation that currently held the three of you hostage. Desperate to provide you comfort, although not desiring to give you a touch you were not expecting, he halted his movement from descending upon your shoulders.
Retracting his extended hand away from you, he stumbled backwards towards the shack to check in on the sleeping Trafalgar Law. Clambering up the steps, he looked over the peaceful form of the boy nestled up in his blankets to keep warm in the cool night. Noticing the fluttering rise and fall in his chest, the subtle wheeze extending and catching in his throat, he felt the return of helplessness overcome his body.
Turning away from the child, his fingers absentmindedly brushed against the surface of the steely frame of his radio, flicking on the valve to wake its static call. He began turning the knobs, seeking out a whisper of a song to drown out his circulating devastation and distract himself with.
The rustling static did nothing to wake Law from his rest, but did alert you of the fact Rosinante was awake and skulking around. Hastily drying your tears with the inner sleeve on your wrist, you ensured you were the very picture of positivity should the leader of your expedition join you in the cool air outside the shack.
Your relationship with the younger Donquixote brother was complicated.
Pledging your undying loyalty under pain or death to Doflamingo in your youth, your proximity to the younger brother had you develop the swell of infatuation with him. Through the years, your heart always had a soft simmer threatening to rapidly boil towards the surface. He was quiet, he was calm, his skills as a fighter were a privilege to behold in battle, and it was an honor to fight beside him.
Under the orders of the older Donquixote brother, you had done  terrible things that required atonement to cleanse your hands of it. As you were both introduced to the young child who wished for death to claim him, you both became as hardened as the other to force the will to live upon him in repentance for your transgressions.
Watching Rosinante take the lead in Law’s care, your infatuation rose once again: a rise which prompted you to cast aside your loyalty to Doflamingo and aid ‘Corazon’ in the task of betraying him. You were in exile, hiding while searching for a cure for the boy that you only now learnt were in the clutches of the very hands you were attempting to flee from.
You loved him. You loved watching the lanky man fawning over the sickly boy. It had your heart soar and fly ever higher. The way he loved with his whole heart had a ripple effect, prompting you to open your own heart to love both of them even more. When Rosinante displayed his heart, it was worn on his sleeve and given unconditionally. And when you saw this love for others, it made you long to be a recipient of such devotion.
The rise in static volume prompted you to turn around, glancing at the looming figure exiting the door of the shack, a radio within his hands. He placed it on the wooden frame lining the porch and gestured for you to come over to him with a subtle sway of his hands. You offered him a soft, melancholy smile and rose to your feet from the cool sand beneath you.
No words were spoken as you approached him, keeping your head bowed from him as the static crackled and roared to life. A familiar tune from your youth rose in the speakers, your smile broadening as the lyrics shepherded you into a gentle sway.
Rosinante’s outstretched hand flitted fluidly down to you, a small bob in his head indicating for you to place your hand within his own. You returned this gesture with your eyes closed and shaking your head in disbelief at his invitation. He smiled, reaching forward his other hand down and claiming your unoccupied hand and began swaying you to the beat.
“What are you doing, Rosinante?” you slowly hummed your question up at him, brow twitching up in intrigue. His warm smile pulled you in, alongside the slow shimmied-shake of his arms with your own.
“We’re dancing,” he confessed with a rumbled chuckle, his toes accidentally colliding with your own: both flinching at the contact. He shook his head, adding to his answer, “I stand corrected: we’re trying.”
Although the mood was filled with sorrow, the sway of Rosinante’s awkward movements had your smile rising up your cheeks and eyes drying of their prior downpour. A small swell in your heart at his attempt to make you smile had your cheeks begin to pull upwards by the smallest smile you could muster.
Everything about the way he danced with you was stiff, awkward and rigid: a memory rising in both your minds of earlier in your youth springing forward.
“You remember when we first danced together?” Rosinante asked you, his painted lips attempting to hold back a toothy grin. You giggled at him, ushering his body to spin in your arms and gently twirled his body. The dark feathers tickled your skin, a sneeze rising in your nose in response to the subtle brush from the inky follicles.
“I remember it being about as ah-... ah-... ahh-...!” you sneezed, shaking your shoulders as you turned away from him to save him from the spray. He chuckled as you recovered from your sneeze, continuing, “-As awkward as this one. You didn’t have your feather coat then, either.”
“Oh, right!” Rosinante laughed, twirling his body away from yours and removing his feathered overcoat from its place on his shoulders, casting it over the wooden frame beside the speaker. “Alright now, where were we?” His pink shirt dipped in his chest, the subtle rise of his lungs and exposure of soft skin tempted a warm flush to rise in your cheeks. You shook your head to rid yourself of such thoughts about your friend, recovering enough to plaster a small smile on your face.
Swaying your hips and tapping your toes against the ground, you skillfully twirled your body to rejoin your hands within his. He gleefully laughed at your gesture, his own hips swaying to the beat and rocking his shoulders as the rhythm picked up. His knees were unpracticed and unskilled in this artform, but his enthusiasm overtook his inability to dance.
Twirling his body away from you, he clapped his hands and began stomping his feet lightly on the floorboards. He tapped twice more before kneeling himself down on one knee, his other leg arched into a deep lunge in front of him. He placed his right hand on his hip, rising his left above his head and brandished it with a playful flourish.
“Oh, we’re doing this one, are we?” your tone picked up, your brow arching on your forehead as you leant forward to claim his left hand within your right, “You remember how I tripped over your lanky legs when I did this last time,” you smiled, circling his body and hopping yourself over his calf lying flat behind him.
“I do,” he chuckled in return, following your movement with the lull of his head. His smile rose further as you playfully watched him from the corner of your eye. “You remember how we recovered, though? What we did to balance out the dance?”
“Yes, Corazon,” you half-laughed, half-sighed, as you recalled how the evening progressed, “We drowned ourselves in several bottles of sake and laughed at our own idiocy.” Rosinante shook his head, rising to his feet after releasing your hand from within his.
“No, mi amor,” he whispered, placing his hands on your hips and swaying you from behind, “I meant this.” He turned you within his arms, raking his hands over your hips, hands circling over your waist and holding you firmly against his torso. You hooked your arms over his shoulders behind your head, shepherding him to embrace you further while swaying to the rhythm.
Rosinante pressed his cheek against your own, your eyes instinctively fluttering closed as you felt the rise in his grin on your skin. His breath tickled the nape of your neck, you breathing along to his rhythmic pattern with each passing moment.
You felt all of your worries cast themselves aside each moment he held you in his arms, all anguish and melancholy passing from your body and reigned within his embrace. The pressure of his own sorrows fled from him and onto you, the sharing of the emotional labor departed each of you in this moment to simmer and smother between you.
“Why were we dancing again?” you whispered to him, your lips almost making contact with the shell of his ear. You felt him shudder against your touch, instinctively pressing your back further against his chest and nuzzling into your neck.
Spinning in his arms, his hands tugging at your shifting shirt as you turned to face him, his eyes widened as he sought out his answer to you. Humming thoughtfully, he finally located his answer in his memory.
“I think it was Doffy’s birthday, or celebrating a raid on some unfortunate-,” Rosinante began, halted by you pulling away and glancing into his eyes.
“-I mean now, mi corazon,” you floated your eyes between his, looking for rhyme or reason within his steely orbs, “Why are we dancing now?” He stuttered in his sway, freezing like a fainting goat being startled by a loud sound.
“Y-You called me-...” his breath caught in his throat, lips parting as he floated his gaze between your own eyes, briefly caught in gazing longingly against your lips. “You called me ‘mi corazon’, mi amor.” He held you in silence, his heart swelling and adrenaline urging his body against his will to surge forward.
The air was tense, the deafening silence being broken only by the smooth rise in melody from the radio beside you. His eyes softened more, wordlessly asking you a question with his lips quivering and eyes frantically darting between your own.
A small nod from him, answered by a nod of your own was all the answer he needed to join his lips with yours, softly molding himself to your lips and breathing in your air.
The world came crashing down around you, the realms of unanswered questions from your youth were retorted by the soft lips of Donquixote Rosinante’s pressed against your own. You squeaked against his lips, eyes wide and watching as, his were closed with his brows furrowing in deepest concentration. He hissed in a breath through his nose, turning his head by the angle of his chin to deepen the embrace.
Raking his hands up from your hips, he claimed fistfuls of your shirt in his needy grasp. He whimpered against your lips, prompting you to reciprocate his passionate kiss. You felt his heart, his spirit and his worries pass from his body into yours further. This intimate and wordless confession had your heart racing at the impossibilities that brought you here.
Slowly pulling your hands from his shoulders, you slid them down his neck and grasped the embroidered pink collar of his shirt and pushed him back towards the railing. As his beck hit the hard, wooden pillar, he gasped into your mouth and desperately clawed at you to hold you firmer. Angling his head away, he pressed lengthy kiss after kiss against your lips, cheeks and chin: a trail marked by his pink lip-paint.
“I want you,” he whispered against your lips, hovering them above your own before pressing his own against yours twice more, “I want us. I want all of us-.” He peppered your cheeks with lengthy kisses, the smear of his lip paint rubbing against your skin and tinting your flesh. “-The three of us. I want to be our own family: go where we want to go, wherever our hearts take us. I want to forge a life with you and that kid.”
“What are you saying-?” you whimpered for him, your hands claiming his cheeks within them and ushering his face away from yours. He groaned, leaning forward and claiming your lips beneath his own before fully allowing you to push him away.
“I want to adopt Law,” he continued, his hand rising to your hair and caressing your scalp, “You already mother him, fawn over him and treat him like your own.” Your hand flew to his hair as he pressed a long kiss against your neck, “I want to do this, and I want to do this with you, mi amor. I want to marry you, to be yours and you to be mine.”
“I want us to be happy, mi amor,” he concluded, a melancholy smile finding his cheeks as he dipped his brow down to seek out your eyes, “I will have you smile again: a smile mirrored between the three of us.” He pressed a gentle kiss against your brow, adding a muffled, “Three against the world.”
The shock of it all happening at once held you in momentary silence. Feeling the pull to confess your own adoration and wants for the future onto him, your lips formed words before you could withhold them in your throat.
“When this nightmare is all over,” you gasped, tugging at his blond locks to subtly weave him away from your neck to look in your eyes. “When we wake up from the darkness,” you slowly caressed his cheek, your thumb finding his bottom lip and attempting to press the paint within the boundaries of his lip line, “I want all of that with you, mi corazon.”
At your confession, Donquixote Rosinante’s heart soared for you and his tears began to prick at the corners of his eyes. He truly didn’t know those words were needed to grace his ears and soothe his mind, but so thankful you formed them.
He loved you from the moment he met you all those years ago. The urge to protect you from the evil his brother ushered into the world was so strong, he nearly broke the mask he made while infiltrating the crew. Seeing you hold your own against them, your skill in combat ushering a swift death to those who opposed you with mercy had him swooning at your kindness amongst the brutality.
“Te amo, mi corazon,” you whispered, your lips again hovering over his own, “I always have, and I should’ve acted on it sooner. I just got caught up with the mission, with loving our child. You are doing such a good job with him, I want you to know that.” You soothed over his blond hair, brushing your nose against his while confessing your admiration further, “I love you, and I love Law so, so much-.”
Surging forwards, the contact he made with your lips was wet: the stale aftertaste of his last cigarette was eclipsed by the salty tears falling over his lips. He didn’t know when his tears started to fall, nor did you grasp when your own intertwined with his against your lips. You laughed against his lips, feeling the lingering tingle of affection spark and ignite in your chest. He swooned for you, raking desperately at your body to hold you as close as he could without breaking through the material of your clothes.
You broke away from his lips, gazing into his eyes with nothing but pure adoration and love. His own unspoken confession lingered in the air, the atmosphere tense and swollen with the lust-stricken adrenaline. The spark of the adoration tinting your eyes surged his confession forward, his words clumsily jumbled over his lips.
“Mi tesoro, mi amor, mi familia,” he whimpered for you, his voice stuttering and stumbling over his words as he stooped down to you, “Te amo-... I-I love you. I love everything about you, and I should’ve told you sooner. I wanted to tell you from the day I first met you. I swooned for you when you danced with me all those years ago. My heart beats for you, and propels me to complete this task all the sooner to start this adventure with you and Law.”
He pressed his forehead against your own, the feeling of hot tears rolling down his cheeks at the confession had you both sobbing and laughing at yourselves. Sniffling and collecting your own tears on your wrist, and he with his, you both glanced up at each other and allowed your smiles to rise.
“We will get this done, Donquixote Rosinante,” you hardened your resolve, nodding through every word, “And when it’s all over, we will be una familia- a family, mi corazon. The three of us. Together.” You held each other close on the deck of the small shack: swaying between kisses as the darkness plaguing your journey was eclipsed by the light rising between you.
Hanging on your every word, a small sob hitched at the crack in the door, Trafalgar Law’s hand clasping over his lips to mask his presence. Law had never witnessed so much love pouring from one person to another. The fact that you both held such love for him too had him openly sobbing at the interaction.
He wanted this too.
He wanted to be a family with both of you: two absolute idiots that loved both him and each other unconditionally. Two complete idiots who were hardened fighters, pirates, and war criminals. His idiots.
He wanted this so desperately.
He wants his imperfect, perfect family.
Tumblr media
But some things were not meant to be.
Law would call on this memory often. Each time that melody played over his personal radio, his heart would both consequently swell and shatter as tears threatened to pour down his face. He wanted to wake up, for it to all be some horrific nightmare and still be searching with you and Cora-san for a cure for his illness. Your love was real, and he was thankful to play his part in it.
However small a time it was, it was his. His perfect, imperfect family.

Hello...
Well, could you do a scenario where the S/O should take care of some drunk OC and they declare their love to her or something...? Well, actually that would be cool with a Fem!Reader, but do as you wish, it's your choice!🫠💕 Btw I would also admire if in Part 1 you could include Sabo and Corazon in particular, I would really like to see them in this situation lmao😵‍💫

SABO (Being the user of Mera Mera no Mi🔥)
Tumblr media
• You are a high-ranking officer in the Revolutionary Army, Sabo's right-hand. After a successful mission of the two of you in Dressrosa, he decided to invite you to drink something in a bar, which was located on an island nearby. You accepted.
• You're not a big fan of alcohol, but Sabo didn't know that. The blonde guy, on the other hand, was a big fan of alcoholic drinks, and used to consume it whenever he was successful in his missions (which is quite often).
• He sat at the counter bar after you two comes there, and you did the same. Sabo called for a waiter who came immediately. He placed his order, which was beer, and asked you to order yours.
“I'll have a non-alcoholic strawberry cocktail with condensed milk, please.” You talk while the waiter writes it down on his pad of paper.
“Alright, ma'am and sir. I will bring your order soon.” He speaks after withdrawing from there.
Sabo looked at you in a somewhat strange way. “You don’t drink alcohol?”
“No, I like sweet drinks more.” You speak while he stares at you seriously, but he soon opens a smile. “Cutie.” He smiles like a know-it-all.
You looked at him strangely, and he immediately retaliated. “I meant, you look like a cute little girl acting like that.” He makes fun of your face a little.
“Sabo...” You look at him with hate and you were ready to attack him. But the waiter interrupts them.
“Your order is almost ready. In the meantime, would you like to fill out this survey?” He asks while handing over a sheet with some questions.
“What is it about?” You ask. “Can't you read, little girl?” Sabo laughs and makes fun of your face some more. “It's a survey about couples, and here it also says that couples who respond will get a discount of up to 50% on the amount spent at the bar.” He says with his knowing smile.
“But we're not a cou...” Before you can finish your sentence, Sabo puts his hand over your mouth, preventing you from speaking. “Will we really get that discount?” He asks the waiter, with his usual smile.
“Of course, sir. Just complete the survey with your girlfriend, and you'll get 50% off. It's a data collection survey for an article that will be released on Valentine's Day, in the island's local newspaper.”
“I understand. I'll do it as soon as possible then.” Sabo speaks enthusiastically to the waiter who leaves. The blondie starts marking off some answers on the survey, like we're really dating.
You had already understood that Sabo was a cheapskate and didn't like to spend money on others. So you decided to just leave it down.
He finished marking the answers, and shortly after that, your drinks arrived.
You two started drinking, but Sabo got too carried away. He ordered more and more glasses of beer, one after another. Maybe he was thinking that 50% off could become 100%...
And when you least realized it, he was out of his mind. “Y/N, let's go home soon” he grumble drunkenly, collapsing on top of you.
His sleepy voice showed just how much alcohol had already knocked him out. You saw no option but to take him for home.
“Okay, just let me pay the bill first” Apparently, the account is left for you. But thinking on the bright side, at least a discount you would have.
Sabo couldn't even pay attention to what you said. You then placed him gently propped up in the chair, and got up to go pay the bill.
After that, you put him on your shoulders and left the bar with him.
“How heavy he is...” You complain while carrying he with difficulties.
He had a stupid smile on his face, he looked like a retard. You looked at him strangely.
“What it is?” You asked arching your eyebrow. Sabo acted strange after your question, he turned red and sparks started to come out of his logia body.
He smirks again, his cheeks getting redder.
“Y/N, I love you…” His stupid smile gave it all away. You were in shock and ended up letting go of him, letting him fall to the ground.
“AAUGH!” he lets out a groan of pain as he strokes his own head. “Hmph. Y/N, why are you so mean to me?” he says this as he gets up, and his drunken body begins to stagger.
“I'm sorry, Sabo...” You say as you help him up. “Y-you… Are you serious?” you widen your eyes.
“Y/N, I want to sleep with you today and always...” he closed his eyes and was about to fall asleep. You leaned against a bench, pulling Sabo with you, and make a phone call for Dragon, who went to get you and took you to your house.
You two went to your rooms, and you went to sleep thoughtfully.
The next day you woke up and went to the kitchen for breakfast, bumping into Sabo, who blushed violently when he saw you. But now, in an embarrassed way.
“H-hello, I-I'm sorry about what happened yesterday...” He speaks awkwardly. “It's okay, Sabo-kun...” You smile sweetly.
You two was in a compelling silent for a while. Until he decides to say something. “I think we need to talk… I need to clear something up.”
“Sure, what is it?” You looked fine on the outside, but on the inside, your heart was beating hard with fear of what he might say to you.
“Dragon told me everything. I know what I say to you in yesterday night, and about that... I need to tell you that it's really true.” Now he was staring at you. And again, sparks were shooting out of his body, his face was red and he was probably really fear of what you might say too.
“Sabo-kun...” You murmur.
“Okay, I understand that you might not feel the same about me. But I would like you to know that, although.” He says as him leave the kitchen, but you pull him by the arm.
“S-Sabo...” You look deep into his eyes, and he looks into yours. Your bright eyes never stopped looking at each other. “I love you too.” You said as you approached him. The blondie approached you too, shifting his gaze between your eyes and your lips.
He placed his big hand on your face, and kissed you passionately but calmly. Your lips glued to each other, were making your bodies approach too, and in a matter of moments, you and Sabo were glued and your kiss was getting even more intense and passionate.
“I am the happiest man in the world to know that, my little girl.” He speaks after parting with you, stroking your hair and smiling cutely at you. “But I love you more...”
Finally you could understand, that he didn't do the couple survey to get a discount, but because he loves you and, in fact, wanted you like his girlfriend.

CORAZON ♠️
Tumblr media
• You were part of the Donquixote Pirates, led by the infamous Doflamingo. While you were still living in Spider Miles, the whole family was gathered at the table and having dinner, when you felt someone poke you under the table.
• You looked to the side, seeing Corazon's serene face disguise as he lit a cigarette. He had left a note on top of your thighs.
• You pocketed the note and politely left the table, getting Doflamingo's permission. You went to your room and read the note. On it was written “You said you wanted to get to know me better. We're going out to eat today, I know of a wonderful restaurant nearby. I hope you isn't full yet.” You opened a silly smile when you read the note, and ran to change your clothes, and soon to meet him discreetly outside. You climbed out your bedroom window and left, going to meet Corazon.
He was leaning against the wall outside the house. As always in silence, lighting his cigarette. When he realized you were there, he stared fixedly at you, and let his cigarette go out carelessly.
“Wh-what is?” You asked embarrassed as you crossed your legs because of your momentary shyness.
“Nothing” He answered coldly and walked away, and you followed him. You felt honored that you were the only person who knew Corazon could speak. It was like you were special.
You two finally arrived at the restaurant, beautifully decorated with artifacts of dragons and other ancient legends creatures. The food smelled divine.
“Hmm” You mutter at that delicious smell. “Maybe you really were right when you said this restaurant is wonderful, Corazon” You say smiling.
“You can be sure I don't make mistakes when it comes to food” He replied confidently and sat down at a table in the corner of the restaurant, with your company.
The waiter came to serve us with a menu in hand. “Good night, sir and ma'am. What will you want for today? Our menu is full of original and exclusive recipes only from here, but we also have traditional ones” He says as he places the menu on the table.
“I'll have the dragon meat in white sauce, with vegetables and all the extras. For a drink, I would like a red wine and a white wine” Corazon spoke without even thinking twice, making you speechless.
“Right, sir” The waiter takes your order. “And Ma'am, what will you want?” he asks you, while Corazon looks at you waiting for your answer.
“T-the same as him. But instead of wine, I would like a melon juice” You say with a little embarrassment, for not ordering something fancier.
“Alright, your order will arrive within 30 minutes” The waiter speaks after bowing and leaving.
You felt Corazon's heavy gaze on you. “What do you want to know about me?” He asks suspicious.
You were intimidated by his look, but you answered him. “I just wanted a friend. Sometimes I feel really lonely around here... And looking at Doffy's face really isn't one of the best hobbies” He looked convinced by your answer. "I understand. In that case, I'm sorry to tell you, but I can't be a friend.”
“N-no? Why?” You ask incredulously.
He gives a blank look and then lights his cigarette. “It's complicated to explain to you, but it's better that way. We can’t have any kind of bond.”
You give him a sad and downcast look. “I see, it's okay.”
And so, you talk about friendship ends there, until you two talk about the crew matters, and the food finally arrives.
“Hmm, wow! It smells delicious. I've never tasted dragon meat before. I thought they were extinct...” You say looking appetizingly at the food.
“Dragons are just hard to find, but they never went extinct” Corazon is as serious as ever as he begins to cut his meat and eat it. You could see a bright in his eyes as he tasted the meat, and the same happens to you.
After a few minutes, you realized that Corazon was acting strange. He'd started to get tipsy after drinking so many glasses of wine, and he'd even had a little whiskey too.
He got up abruptly, you ran to hold him when you saw that he had almost fallen to the ground. “C-corazon! Are you okay?" You ask worriedly as you hold in his shoulders.
His eyes were small and bloodshot, probably from the drunken effect of alcohol. “Y/N... I...” He tries to say something with difficulty.
“Please don't do that again!” You scold him. “You almost fell, you know how worried I was?” You ask angrily and as you look at him, you see that he is staring at you with twinkling eyes. He approached you slowly, when he finally pressed his lips to yours.
“Y/N, I… love you” He whispers after breaking away from the kiss. “But we can't be together, only for your own good” Tears start to fall from his eyes.
“W-what? What are you talking about, Cora-san?” you ask incredulously. “D-do you love me?” Your eyes widen. “And why are you saying that? We can not be together? What...?"
He doesn't say anything for a few seconds as the tears fall down his face. Until Corazon finally says something...
“I... I CAN'T!” He screams while crying. “I'm on a suicide mission, I'm going to die. I'm cheating on Doffy, Y/N” He keeps crying “I love you so much, and I don't know if you feel the same, but...”
“Ya, Corazon! I feel the same, I love you too!” You grab his shirt with your fingernails and speak with desperation.
Gently, he removes your hands from his shirt, and squeezes it affectionately. “I'm sorry, Y/N” He speaks with a look filled with sadness. “But I can't risk losing you or hurting you. We can't be together, and you can't get attached to me. Please… Just forget about it” He asks while stroking your chin with his thumb.
You start crying uncontrollably.
“I'm going to die... It's just a matter of time” He whispers sadly, which makes you cry even more, and hug him tightly, not wanting to leave him never ever.
He gently separates you from the embrace.
“But know that I will always love you, my sweet Y/N” Corazon finally smiles, a smile so big as the love you feel for him.
You will never accept your parting words.

Thoughts and memories.
I drew this pencil drawing for my short fic at Winter Fandom Battle 2024 on AO3 as a member of the Corazon team.
This is my first attempt at writing after many years since I tried to write anything at all. Sorry for angst, heart pain and possible errors in translation into English.

The ghost of you part 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Part one
Law knows better than anyone what kind of secrets devil fruits hide - so when you reveal you can bring him to the realm of the dead, there is no going back.
Tumblr media
All the echoes in my mind cry; There’s blood on your lies
Pairing: Trafalgar Law x gn! reader
Word count: 2,5K
Content warnings: angst, grief, extreme survivor’s guilt, mention of death, Law’s never-ending list of mental health issues and trauma, Law asks a lot of questions
Tumblr media
Weeks went by with Law chasing the cold spots in the submarine, a content smile decorating his lips whenever he made contact. But it didn’t take long before he came to you wanting to know more about your power. And for another… selfish reason. He knew better than anyone how devil fruits hold secrets no one could ever comprehend.
“What more is there?”
The question caught you off guard when you laid in bed together in his dark room almost asleep, his hand soothing down your arm as you were snuggled up against him.
“What do you mean?” your voice was riddled with sleep, your fingers lazily tracing the tattoos on his chest by memory.
Law kept quiet for a moment, before his hand stopped, “Devil fruit powers hold more than one function”.
Your silence was enough for him to continue. “How long have you had your ability? Why didn’t you tell me about it sooner?”
They were fair questions to ask, hiding such an anchor from the crew, but the other side to your ability was one you dreaded sharing. When a cold breeze fanned over your skin as blue hue illuminated the room, you turned to see the ghost that finally had a name look at you. He was a curious one, his eyes expectant for an answer.
Law saw you looking beside the bed, realizing you weren’t alone.
“Is Cora here again?”
You chuckled lightly before nodding, making Corazon smile while he looked at Law’s eyes frantically searching the room.
“He’s around often, checking up on you”
Law’s heartbeat increased and you could hear him swallow a deep gulp, “I see…”.
A deep sigh passed your lips before you told him about your power, knowing there would be no way back.
“I can travel to the realm of the dead,” you kept your gaze at Corazon, whose eyes widened at the news, “but then it’s like I become a ghost, they can’t see or hear me”.
Silence filled the room once more, Law’s hand fidgeting against your skin as he processed the information. And knowing him, he had already figured out the next part of your reveal.
“I can also bring people with me”
What harm could letting Law see Corazon in the ghosts’ realm do? It was useless to fall asleep once the words had fallen past your lips, a flame suddenly lit alive in Law’s heart.
I can see him again?
Law had dreaded sharing something with you, but now that he finally had a chance to fix it, he told you. He could barely remember the face of his savior. He could only remember flashes of Corazon, like patches of cloth sewn together, but when it’s finished it’s just not right. His smile was the only thing stuck whenever he tried to imagine his face. You had never heard him admit anything with such shame, knowing the ghost of Corazon was listening as well. He tried to hide his hurt, but he’d lie if he said he was shocked. Being dead for 13 years, with no picture left behind for the boy he saved, he wouldn’t expect the memory of him to remain. With his smile plastered everywhere, a tribute only for him, he couldn’t have asked for more. Was he happy Law lived the life of a pirate? No, how could he possibly ever be comfortable with such a fact? But he was alive, nonetheless, surrounded by friends. What greater life could he have?
With a swift slide of your hands, a strong light shone from your palms creating a thin turquoise veil covering Law’s room. Law gasped when he saw you were translucent, noticing how the ground and walls looked like debris swaying in the wind, slowly drifting away into nothingness. The submarine didn’t seem to be underwater any longer, the darkness outside of the portholes swallowing all sources of light. However, there was life out there. Or… movement at least, of things that belonged only to the past. Law gawked at the translucent fish and sharks swimming past the portholes, some missing fins and chunks of their bodies. A small shiver ran through him at the realization; cause of death would be visible. A reason for your discomfort of parading around in the world of the dead; when they visited you, they presented themselves when they were at their peak. But here, the truth of their demise was revealed.
“Remember, this is their realm, they can’t see or hear us, just like you don’t see or hear them when they visit our world”
Law felt a lump form in the back of his throat, suddenly feeling uneasy. Was he ready for this?
With legs no longer meeting ground you explored the dark, glowy hallway of the submarine in search of the gentle giant. And when a sudden burst of debris came shooting past the corner, Law froze. The years of sudden bursts of sand, snow and smoke shooting in his direction suddenly coming back to him. Tears pricked at his eyes, and you stopped when you noticed the distance between you increasing.
“Do you want to go back? We can do this another time,” your voice was small and sounded like an echo, the realm contorting your sounds.
Law was quiet for a second before taking a determined step forward, inhaling deeply, “No, I want to see him”.
And with a few more steps, Law tried to hide the trembling in his knees when he rounded the corner to see the large man sitting on the floor, dusting himself off. Once again, Law’s world stood still, just as it had done twice in his life. But this time something wasn’t taken from him. Like walking into a lost memory, bits and pieces of Law’s mind glued together the appearance of his savior. Law felt a hurt in his heart while his knees grew weak, betraying his suddenly heavy body.
Law remembered what he had witnessed when he peeked out of the treasure chest suddenly clear as day. Too much blood staining the snow red, white flakes dancing in the air before falling on the still warm body like nothing was wrong in the world, and the godawful sight of the shirt he had relentlessly bullied Corazon for. Why did the stupid shirt have to get filled with holes and stained with innocent blood just for his survival? Law’s eyes flickered over Corazon like he was expecting him to fly away with the debris. He wobbled closer, making dust of the past spread and it was then he saw the inspiration for his jolly roger. Corazon was smiling widely; he knew you were there.
Law’s eyebrows furrowed in worry, however, as he saw an incomplete smile. When had he lost a tooth? How much of his memory had withered? He instinctively reached out but only pushed through the ghost, a bitter reminder of the predicament they were in. Corazon seemed to feel him, his arms seeking out in different directions. The doctor fell to his knees and made sure Corazon sensed him while he looked at the ghost’s face, tears stinging his eyes. You expected him to wear a frown, to be tense - for his lips to show anything but a smile. But you were wrong. Law wore a smile; a painful, bittersweet smile.
“You can’t hear me, I know,” his voice was low, and you knew this wasn’t meant for your ears. Despite your own curiosity, this was not a boundary you could ever cross. Already trespassing on such a vulnerable part of Law’s life was too much, but hearing his innermost raw, unfiltered words? He deserved to do this alone without you hovering over his shoulders. So you walked away, letting your boyfriend pour whatever he needed out of his chest.
“And it might be bad that I don’t care, really…” Law whispered, his voice raw as his throat tightened, “I…I think about you every day, Cora”.
With a bowed head and his eyes shut tight, Law continued, his hands now digging into the ground, ignoring the pain in his fingers.
“Every day I question if your sacrifice was worth it, why you lied! You knew you were going to be killed! Why the hell would you- what made you do that for me?”
Small plops on the ground filled Law’s silence as he finally cried, heart clenching with pain, allowing him to say aloud what had burned in his heart for 13 years.
“I never wanted you to die! You left me, I-… you said we were going to travel the world together, and I believed you,” Law laughed tensely through the pain, voice harsh and low as he forced his words out, “When did you know you were doomed? Huh? How long did you know I would be the reason for your death?”.
Law looked up at Corazon, who was struggling to pinpoint Law’s exact whereabouts, so Law raised his shaky hands to the ghost’s cheeks, his fingers bloody and nails cracked. Corazon’s eyes widened, and held his own face, feeling the warmth radiating from Law. “But it was inevitable wasn’t it? With your luck and all”.
His laugh grew more loose, yet still full of pain, breath shaky as he talked.
“I miss you… god, I miss you,” Law gasped, tears melting down his cheeks and neck, “You- without you, I fear what I-”
Flashes of the other brother haunted Law’s mind then, causing shudders down his spine, “I didn’t realize until it was too late, but you saved me from becoming what I hated the most.”
Law thought back to the day he met the family, ready to blow himself up; how could a boy who's lived through hell ever find salvation? A boy so young should never have known such torment and agony, and he remembered why Doflamingo had favored him.
“A part of me thinks you saved me for some selfish reason,” Law pondered for a while, “you told me I couldn’t turn into a monster like your brother. Was your sole reason for saving me that I reminded you of him that much? Did you save me because you never got to save him? Though, if that was your reasoning, I can’t blame you too much.. it was my own goal after all”.
Law shook his head, eyes red and strained, his voice hoarse and shaky.
“However, that part of me is something I’ve wanted to shake off, ‘cause you taught me better. If you were doing it for a selfish reason, you would never have left me, right? If you were selfish, you would never have chased after the stupid fruit, would you? You never would-”
With a clenched jaw Law sucked in a harsh breath, his lips salty with tears, “If you were selfish you never would have saved me. There was never any reason for you to help me! So why, Cora, why did you trade your life for mine? I was never meant to live, I-I..”
Law was gasping for air through his words, sniffles and whimpers being caused by the sudden overwhelming monologue. Not able to carry himself anymore, he clutched his sides and curled into a ball, his forehead resting on the ground as he broke.
“You even cried for me, I- I should have thanked you then, I shouldn’t have pretended to sleep- fuck- I put a knife through you, and yet you cried for me. And I never got to thank you. I never got to say how much those six months meant to me. Even if they were painful, you never gave up. You carried a useless hope, and it cost you your life. I just- I just wanted the two of us to be together, I don’t care that I would’ve died eventually! I just wanted my last moments to be with you, I knew my time was running out, I was ready to die and watch the world burn as I left! I just didn’t expect for anyone- I… I never thought anyone could make me want to live anymore”.
Law had dreamt of the moment he got to spill these secrets, these confessions that harbored so much of his guilt. But in those dreams his words never fumbled over each other, they came out clear, precise and intelligent. Reality disappointed him, his thoughts coming out incoherent and in chunks almost unrelated, wanting to say so much more, his words only the tip above water of the hidden iceberg beneath. He wanted to say so much more, he wanted to sound mature. And he realized he wasn’t the one speaking; it was the little boy that was left all alone in the world 13 years ago.
“So many people have… so many people I have cared about are dead and I couldn’t do a damned thing to stop it…,” Law’s breath hitched as the face of his sister flashed in his mind, “I couldn’t even protect Lamy”.
Tears stained the haunted floor as Law kept his head down, “I’ve never been able to do a damn thing, your sacrifice- you should have lived, why the hell did you save me, Cora? Didn’t you have an entire country to save anyway? Then why, please, why did you waste your time on me? If you had left me alone, you’d still be alive!”.
Law whimpered, hugging himself tighter, “Why did you say that you loved me, only to abandon me?”.
Wandering the halls of the Polar Tang for a while, you decided to carefully thread your way back when it grew eerily quiet, the sight that greeted you melting your heart when you rounded the corner where you had abandoned them. Law was sleeping against the side of the ghost, like he could actually feel the feather coat. Corazon seemed to understand Law was still with him, sitting completely still. Your footsteps caused clouds of debris to catch Corazon’s attention, and although he looked in your direction with a smile, his wave missed you completely. Law looked peaceful, so you sat for a while, allowing him this well-needed rest even if his body would ache before the two of you eventually got back to your own realm. The tension in Law’s shoulders had become nearly non-existent after the visit, and every visit he had requested later. Law had calmed down tremendously, but he still craved a taste of vengeance; to bring Corazon’s mission to an end.
The ghost stayed for a while, still lingering over Law’s shoulders like a guardian angel; the merciful hand of salvation aiding him on his adventure. It wasn’t until Law needed help realizing the love he received was unconditional that the cold spots disappeared, Corazon’s soul finally put to rest, his voice chiming in Law’s ears one final time.
I love you

I NEED CORAZON X READER ANGSTTYYYYY
Think about it. Reader is Rosinante's s / o. They help raise Law and when Cora dies , they meet him later in life and joins him / helps him as a way to complete Rosinante's wish.
They were also part of the Donquixote family and went on missions with Corazon. They knew about Corazon's devil fruit and his ability to speak but never said anything. They dated for a long time and did everything together. Corazon even had a small , black fluffy coat made for the reader so they could match !
When Cora takes Law , the reader goes with them and helps them. Corazon and the reader raise Law like their own. Eventually , the reader and Corazon share a moment together. Before his mission to retrieve Law's devil fruit. He spends some of the night with the reader and gives them a kiss. The reader doesn't know that that kiss may have been their last.
The reader comes and finds Corazon injured. They tried to help , but he refused and told them that Law was getting help. When Vergo came , they both panicked. He ended up beating both of them.
When Cora places Law in the chest and uses his devil fruit to silence him , he does the same for the reader. The reader hides behind a building and watches everything go down. They watch Doflamingo kill Corazon , crying and screaming for him to stop (but no one could hear.)
When Doffy leaves , reader goes over to Corazon and speaks to him for the last time. He's barely alive but still managed to gargle a few words out to his lover. They exchange "I love you"'s and a final kiss before Rosinante takes his final breath. The reader doesn't know how long they've been there , cradling Cora's body and crying.
Eventually , Sengoku finds them and gives him a proper funeral. They're both crying and go their separate ways. The reader never takes off their coat (unless washing it) , in honor of Corazon. They also never date anyone again to honor him.
And a few years later , the reader hears the news about Law and Luffy starting an alliance. The reader assumed exactly what they were doing and headed for Dressrosa. When they got there , they saw Law. They reunited with him and joined them for whatever shenanigans they got into.
Even though the reader wanted to kill Doflamingo themself , they left it to Luffy to defeat him. They stayed with Law during the fight and tried to nurse him after his fight with Doffy.
When Luffy beats Doflamingo , the reader cries and hugs both Law and Luffy. Now , the reader has been traveling with them all throughout their journey together. When Luffy and Law separate , they go with Law. They're now watching over him and acting like a parent to him. They both share moments where they talk about Corazon , but they still enjoy each other's company.
