had the craziest friday of the term so far. i went to a class and was surprised to see none of my classmates and my professor in the room only to realize that i didn’t have any class on fridays (mind you, this term’ll be ending in a few weeks). instead, we had this in-campus fieldtrip of some sort which i thought would be tomorrow (bc i seriously thought it was thursday today) but lucky me, i made it just in time! aside from that, i really had a productive day and i am so proud of myself bc i was able to pick myself up after four days of breaking down and wallowing into self-destruction.

here’s what i was able to do:

• study korean again and finish the second half of lesson 13.

• finished re-writing/reviewing my notes (1/2)

• did half of a homework that is due on monday

• did three software exercises which are all due for tomorrow’s make-up class

Here’s a much awaited sneak peek of my study desk!! My softboard is festooned with BTS posters and my planner and positivity quotes ft. my cute little “S” monogram pen-stand.

I’ve been solving chemistry numericals for Bohr’s atomic model and I solved a whole 80 page practice module whoohoo

How do you get motivated to study? I always get distracted by something and never end up doing anything

i’m .not really the best person to ask bc most of my studying is fuelled by my general fear of failure + anxiety brought about by the inevitable due date (ahahah ha h) buuuut here are some more positive tips to get yourself to study !!

having a visual representation of your goals is always very good. it could be changing your phone lock screen, creating a vision board, or just a simple note saying ‘i want to ___’ on the desk really helps a lot to remember why you’re doing it in the first place.

i’ve recently started doing the infamous pomodoro method, which is basically “25-minute work 5-minute break cycle on repeat”, for my philosophy paper. it’s not the best method for me personally because my ‘focus cycles’ (or whatever they’re called) vary a Lot and i sometimes don’t need a single break in an hour, but it has helped me be productive for sure! i’ve also realised that timing your breaks really is crucial

beating distractions is super hard! having discipline is also something i struggle with very often. blocking websites for a certain time period or going to an isolated space (library, café, just not your bed or usual desk filled with other things to do) can also be quite helpful.

this may be a bit brutal but having a ticking clock on the desk can also be quite helpful at times, because you can see and hear how time is slipping away...

in the end, it’s all about focus and discipline. it’s not very easy, but just believe in yourself and never forget all the things that you gain from studying!

this may be a good place to say that i also have really helpful resources (by other studyblrs and myself) + studying inspo on my studyblr, @kantken ♡

week 01: 02/05 days of productivity.

112619, tuesday.

today’s a great day because my tuition is finally fully paid!! anyway, i have a quiz on thursday and i am so not prepared for it. my professor’s presentation about today’s discussion hasn’t been posted yet and it’s the most vital part of the exam like ???????? IM PANICKING. but guess who’s gonna stay up late and try to fit that lesson in just a day and a half UGH i hate my lyf.

also! i was finally able to finish the draft of my academic paper today. i really hope it could get published in a journal. that’d be so cool!

Day 9/30 days of productivity ⛄️

Studied at the most peaceful cafe with a pretty view of the boulevard! It was late in the evening and the ait smelt of caramel lattes and the sky swirled with mist. It was pretty chill (2 degree Celsius) and my nails went blue lmao

Chemistry is being nice to me lately and I’m revising as much as possible before tomorrow’s exam !!! Stress level: 1000000

Anyways, god, please make it warm again I literally can’t move out of my bed at any time of the day :< ❄️
