thoughts on endgame
if you haven’t seen endgame yet please turn away now because this is full of spoilers.
seriously spoiler nation here. turn back now while you still have the chance.
are you still here?
okay then.
here i go.
it’s gonna get long.
it’s been about seven hours since i got out of the movie theatre and overall? i’m upset. and i’m fucking pissed.
also, if you don’t know this by now, i’m a tony stan. my thoughts are biased. sue me.
listen. it’s not an awful movie. overall it’s an okay film. the shots were beautiful. the actors were all excellent. there was lots of fan service and there were tons of moments where it felt really fun. we laughed. we cried. we cheered. but as much as the filmmakers would like to insist that the film is satisfying, i just don’t agree, mainly because of how they decided to end the story.
the good and the mediocre
to start off, rdj’s acting is great. of course it is. it’s rdj. he did amazing with what he had to work with and most of my crying was because of him.
tony and nebula on the ship was great. he was already so fatherly with her, teaching her how to play paper football and encouraging her. and she was looking after him too. there was so much mutual care there that i loved, and i wish that we got more interaction between the two of them throughout the movie.
that little tear he shed when he closed his eyes to go to sleep on the benatar after recording his message for pepper killed me.
when joe russo said that the film was cathartic and evans said that it’s satisfying i can only apply these words to the one scene where tony finally gets to have his outburst and tell the others off for not believing him when he said a threat was coming. he deserved that moment. his anger was completely justified. and when he called steve out specifically, saying that he said that they’d lose together but they ended up not even doing that? when he called steve a liar? that was cathartic.
nat talking about how she used to have nothing and then she got this job, got this family. when she was crying over clint and what he was doing as ronin. that hurt.
MORGAN STARK. oh my god she is a cutie and all of her interactions with tony are just the best. this is the most valid part of the entire movie and that’s that on that. tony is so soft with her and it’s clear just how much he loves her and cherishes the family that he’s managed to have despite the tragedy that happened five years ago. this relationship is perfect and instead of the rest of the movie we should have just gotten three hours of tony and morgan’s father/daughter shenanigans.
tony being domestic and doing the dishes is all i ever wanted
doctor hulk was an interesting concept and i’m glad that bruce finally managed to find a balance between bruce and hulk and melded the two together. but there were times i do feel like he was played off as a joke too much.
the stevetony content is okay, i guess. i honestly wish we got more between steve and tony settling their differences beyond tony just handing the shield back and letting steve know that he figured out the issue with time travel that they’d been having. i wish we had more of them talking and working out their differences from the past. it jumped from tony telling steve that the trust is gone to him asking steve if he trusts him a little too soon without anything ever being discussed.
like really for a film that was marketed to basically be a stevetony event it didn’t really end up with that many interactions between them so it was disappointing.
i love that in the five years since the snap the remaining heroes managed to become friends. nebula and rhodey is an especially great one. and carol and rhodey’s brief interaction at the start of the film got my carolrhodey heart fluttering.
i do like the team interactions we got, even though there weren’t as many as i expected. it does feel like they’re finally seeing each other as a team again for the first time since the party scene in aou. i especially liked when they were working together to figure out when to travel back to in order to find the infinity stones, and that scene with tony, nat, and bruce together on the conference table. i wish we got more of the tony and nat friendship throughout the mcu.
the entire travel back to 2012 new york sequence was a trip. getting to see these characters interacting for the first time again was great. to see the aftermath of the battle was fun -- how they all got drinks from tony’s bar together. they seemed immediately comfortable with each other which was nice. all of them getting into the elevator together but telling the hulk to take the stairs. and speaking of hulk, bruce pretending to be 2012!hulk and smashing things halfheartedly was kinda hilarious.
the blatant ogling of steve’s ass. oh, sorry. america’s ass. that was great. thank you for servicing the stevetony shippers. and steve’s own comment about it after he got in a fistfight with his past self was funny too.
the excessive use of the word “shit” was a great callback to aou and i enjoyed it immensely.
mark 85 is sleek af and i love a shiny gold thotty boy
the cap scenes in 2012 were nice fan service. steve getting into that elevator with the strike team -- everyone thought it was going to be a reenactment of the scene from tws. but the fact that steve said “hail hydra” instead to throw them off was genius. he looked so proud of himself for that.
i like the rhodey and nebula team up. their dynamic is really great and rhodey has some of the best lines in the movie tbh. i love him.
i’m iffy on this but i don’t like that they validated howard stark’s shitty parenting. call him abusive and leave it at that. sure, he admitted that he didn’t want to turn out like his dad, but uhh i guess he did because look how his relationship with tony turned out. but i mean i’m happy for tony that he sort of got the closure he needed?? idk. i’m not sure about this.
it was really touching getting to see thor be able to talk to his mother again. i love frigga.
tony’s version of the gauntlet is fucking badass. it’s ten times sleeker than thanos’ gauntlet and just cool as hell. and dude! think about it. thanos had to travel to nidavellir to get a gauntlet made that could harness the power of the infinity stones. tony didn’t need to do that. he made his own gauntlet with his own tech and he didn’t need to go to any other planet for that. i love one genius.
steve wielding mjolnir was amazing in that moment. it was super cool, you know. he seemed so natural with it and he was even able to call lightning with it. awesome! but once we got to the ending i was like 😒 was he really that worthy. i’m really salty, okay.
the scene when all the undusted come back, and the other heroes scattered around the world join in, and they appear at the compound for that final battle -- it was incredible and very moving. thanos thought he was gonna win but nah!!! avengers assemble!! dope.
RESCUE. we waited so long and finally we were fed.
peter and tony’s hug got me bawling like a baby. i’m so distraught.
that scene with carol coming in and getting the gauntlet from peter, and all the women coming together and saying, “she has help”?? i nutted. that was amazing.
the bad and the ugly
THE SUPREME LACK OF TONY AND RHODEY CONTENT, WHAT THE FUCK. when they landed back on earth and rhodey didn’t get a chance to hug tony...hm. did not like that! let these best friends hug, ffs. and why didn’t we get to see rhodey interacting with morgan?? this is fake as hell.
it was kinda shitty that steve and co. had to show up right when tony was having a good time with his daughter to deliver the news about the quantum tunnel and time travel to tony. because of course tony would never sit idly by when there’s a problem he can solve. especially not when he’s reminded that he lost peter in that awful decimation five years ago. it’s not in his nature to not help. so that’s what he does. he solves a problem and he goes to suit up again because he would never forgive himself if he didn’t even try.
thor......they really turned him into a depressed alcoholic that’s just playing fortnite at home instead of a ruler looking after himself and the people he was supposed to protect.....they really just erased all his development from ragnarok huh. i’m mad.
also, a lack of tony and bruce interaction?? where are my science bro moments?? they were supposed to be the two biggest brains of the team working on mechanics of time travel but we really couldn’t have seen even a brief montage of them working together to science things out? wow fake!
also now that i think about it, where were dum-e and u?? where???? where were the best bots in the world?????
idk why clint and nat were the ones to go to vormir. definitely was not expecting this at all, but fuck. okay. this is where the anger really starts. okay. i get it. i get that nat sacrificed herself so that clint would have the chance to reunite with his family after this shitshow was all over. but nat had family too. she said it herself. she found her family with the avengers. but they really decided to throw another woman off the cliff to fuel more man pain. great! just great!!
seriously, nat deserved better.
they really. they really fucking killed off tony. they really did that and they had tony sacrifice himself. and all for what? shock factor? it wasn’t necessary. they didn’t need to kill him to end his arc. he could have been permanently injured instead, to the point where he wouldn’t be able to suit up again. he would have happily accepted this as his last mission. his priority was always to get home to his wife and daughter. despite the trauma he went through over the last ten years, the ptsd he came away with after sending a nuke through a wormhole, his team’s falling out, watching his best friend fall from the sky, being betrayed by someone he thought was a friend, getting stabbed by his own weapon on an alien planet, and losing a kid that he treated like his own, he managed to find a sliver of happiness with pepper and morgan. he had a happy ending. the happy ending he had wanted for the last several years. but the filmmakers took that away from him. they took away his happiness, and not just that. they took away a woman’s husband. they took away a little girl’s father. it was unnecessarily cruel and it sends a shitty message. it’s a disservice to tony, a disservice to the iron family, and a disservice to the fans that have stuck with the mcu from the very beginning, when iron man first came out and we decided to hop on for the ride.
tony deserved better.
also, rhodey should have been able to say something to tony before he drifted off for the last time. i was glad that he was the first to find tony, but they should have had their moment. this man had been with tony through thick and thin and he deserved to say his proper goodbyes.
or at the very least, they should have had a moment during tony’s funeral where the important people delivered their eulogies and spoke the words that needed to be said about tony. an explicit acknowledgement from the characters about how much tony had done, how integral he was to their success and survival, and how he made the ultimate sacrifice to get rid of their biggest threat so that the world could be put back together.
the only consolation i get from this is that tony made that sacrifice and died on the battlefield where the rest of the team could see. that the undusted and the living both are aware of how selfless tony is (and has always been), and he gave up his happy ending to make sure that the rest of them got theirs.
well his “i am iron man” was badass too so i’m glad he got to go out with that.
TONY DESERVED BETTER.
MORGAN DESERVED BETTER.
IRON FAMILY DESERVED BETTER.
(cheeseburgers broke me)
speaking of happy endings, lmfao what the fuck @ steve? i’m pissed at this ending. that was honestly the most selfish thing that steve could have done, all because the russos have always had a permanent boner for steve’s story with peggy. it’s just so sad. they won’t let him move on. his character development is stifled. it’s so backwards. peggy had a family and lived a full life without steve, but after seeing her for thirty seconds while he was in the past, he really decided that he needed to go back and spend the rest of his life with her. he threw away everything he worked for in the present -- his teammates, an unfrozen and recovered bucky, his running buddy and overall great guy sam -- for a relationship with a woman that he shared one single kiss with and that he knew for, what, like two or three years? jesus. let him move on! let him find happiness in the present! he never gave love another chance just because he thought he thought he met the love of his life 70 years ago. who’s to say he wouldn’t have found love in the present, huh??
they did him dirty. they did peggy dirty. and tbh they did sharon dirty from the very beginning. but that’s salt for another day.
so here we have tony, dead at 53 who really only experienced true happiness for five years with the woman he had been in love with for over a decade. then we have steve, who was on this earth for 105 years, then went back in time and got another 40 or so odd years of happiness with a woman he had only known for a few short years.
sure. that sounds fair. totally fair.
fuck no, it’s not. it’s a terrible fucking ending.
that’s just shit storytelling and if this was done all for the shock factor to make sure that we couldn’t guess what happens to these characters then it was a poor decision and it completely ruins tony and steve’s story arcs.
what kind of shit ending is this.
i didn’t like it.

Ummm Fluffy Stevetony headcanons maybe after Endgame?
So, let me start off by a few pre-Endgame HC’s, so the rest make sense.
First, Tony and Pepper split up sometime during the 5 years, because they realize that a marriage and kid don’t erase the problems they’ve always had in their relationship, so they parted as friends and co-parents.
During the 5 years, Steve, Tony, Thor, Bruce, Rhodey, Nat, Nebula, Rocket, they all stayed in contact, they worked through their issues, they hung out, became the family they always could have been.
Morgan grew up with all the living heroes as Aunts/Uncles (Big sister in Nebula’s case).
Tony and Steve started repairing their relationship, learned to work through their issues and communicate like actual leaders.
They also started flirting and testing the waters about maybe more, once they put in the work. Though nothing happens, because as their something starts to evolve, that’s Scott shows up with the answers they needed on how to reverse the Snap.
After Endgame HC’s:
After they get Tony back from the hospital, and before he, Rhodey, Shuri and Peter design and build him a new arm, Steve moves into the lack house to help Tony out, and help keep an eye on Morgan.
Though he and Morgan have already bonded -they both enjoy drawing and painting- they get closer the longer Steve stays.
It’s not all sunshine and roses, they have their good days and bad days, one especially when Tony wakes Steve one night from one of his common occurring horrific nightmares, can’t bite back the screams one night, cause Steve to break the door in his haste to get to Tony, who spends the night holding Tony, who cries and breaks.
Steve, spends the weeks and months following sleeping with Tony, waking him from nightmares, coaxing him with a gentle voice, reminding him whatever he’s seeing isn’t real, that he’s safe and alive and Morgan is safe and Peter is back.
And by Odin’s beard, their good days are so domestically blissful, it’s all they’ve ever wanted. Waking up together, cooking breakfast, teasing and cuddling and spending time with Morgan, when they get her for weekends (or more since Pepper’s responsibilities to SI have gone back to how they use to be).
After healing, most of his scars still pink and fresh, his new arm designed and built, Tony’s walking on eggshells because surely now Steve will leave, there’s no reason for him to stay since Tony’s back on his feet, has his working Iron Man prosthetic, so he’s just in this constant state of dread, waiting for Steve to announce he’s leaving, since Tony doesn’t need him anymore.
Because seriously, there’s nothing else keeping Steve there, because of course caring for Tony has surely dried up whatever feelings/attraction Steve might have carried for him.
While Steve is quietly freaking out because of course Tony’s about to kick him out since Steve’s no longer useful, so he announces he’s moving out, has Sam, Nat and Bucky over to help move him out.
They’re both so miserable it’s not even funny, none of their friends can enjoy good naturedly ragging on them they’re both just so pitiful. Morgan hates not getting to see Uncle Steve when she gets to stay with her daddy, and she hates seeing her dad put on fake smiles, trying to reassure her everything’s okay.
And they stay in this endless cycle for weeks, months, both putting on brave faces, acting like they’re doing okay.
Eventually Rhodey, Bucky, Nat and Pepper hit a breaking point and come together to set them up on a blind date…together.
It’s trouble trying to get Steve to agree to it, but Bucky pulls out a promise from 1938 that no one understands but has Steve agreeing quickly. Pepper, Rhodey and Happy basically have to corral Tony into getting dressed, into the car and than the restaurant until Morgan, who over heard her Aunt Nat and Mommy talking about it, used the puppy eyes Uncle Steve taught her to use, and got Tony to agree to it.
Steve and Tony never talk about the date but they start seriously dating shortly after, so no one ever asks.
(Except the fact everyone does because anytime anyone mentions the date, Tony flushes red and Steve gets this angry, possessive look in his eyes, and everyone is SO CURIOUS ON WHAT HAPPENED!)
And, uh, I owe you some fluffier head canons cause this got.....a little more in depth and angstier than I was originally gonna go for.

Different Roads... Same Destination: Prologue
Tumblr media
Pairing: Steve Rogers x Reader (established)
Summary: When the Avengers went back in time to get the Infinity Stones, new timelines were created. By not delivering them back to their exact same spots, you and Steve created major changes in those timelines. What happened? (Non-American!Reader)
This is a sequel to “Be Your Own Hero”. I highly recommend you read it first, since it features many major changes in canon that are addressed here.
Notes: Y/N = your (first) name; Y/Co = your home country; Y/Ci = your home city; Y/N/L = your native language (to be ignored in case you speak English).
Masterlist
Prologue
2024
You and Steve have been married for six months, and things couldn’t be better. Your relationship was based on mutual love, respect and admiration, which led to few fights, all resolved quickly. Never go to bed without speaking to each other was one of the first rules you two agreed upon; you heard enough of marriages that ended due to lack of communication to know how big of an issue that could be.
You had finished your residency program not long ago, and were thriving as a psychiatrist. Many people contacted you thanks to your past as ‘honorary Avenger’ (a title coined by Stark and made popular by Romanov). Steve also made good money as artist; the online marketing courses you did together helped a lot.
You would visit the Avengers every now and then, usually using Strange and Wong’s portals. The Stark family moved back to New York and settled in the Avengers compound; Morgan seemed to be as smart as her parents. Natasha had tried living with the Bartons, but soon realized she was a urban person and went back to NY, becoming Morgan’s ‘Aunt Tasha’. Bruce became a college professor, teaching regularly at Columbia and giving lectures across US. Clint retired for good, but stayed working as a professional archer, training young people who aspired to get in the Olympics.
Thor married Sif, passed the crown to Loki and Valkyrie, and left Earth with the Guardians of the Galaxy. The couple often visited, though, usually with Nebula, who was still Morgan’s favorite aunt. Carol settled in New Orleans, but often left for missions when the Guardians call her. Rhodey stayed on military service, and Sam kept running VA meetings. Wakanda was prospering, as always, and Princess Shuri often went to NYC to work with Tony on projects. Strange and Wong often got busy training new wizards, though Strange went back to medical practice to earn more money for the Sanctum.
Bucky officially joined the Avengers, and stayed at the compound with the Starks, Natasha, Wanda, the newly-rebuilt Vision, Rhodey, Sam and Peter Parker (who favored Columbia over MIT for college). Nick Fury and Maria Hill also lived there, where they started rebuilding SHIELD. Morgan was beyond excited to have so many people in her new home.
Scott, your first ally in US, married Hope shortly before you married Steve, and was going to be a father again. He went to New York for a baby shower at the compound, and, of course, you and Steve went too.
Somehow, while talking with Bucky and Natasha, the subject of time travel was brought up - more specifically, the fact that Steve went to 1945 to rescue his other self from the ice. “I wonder what that other punk did with his life”, Bucky said.
“I wonder that too”, Steve replied. “I gave him a lot of instructions. Wouldn’t be surprised if he missed something.”
“Do you think we can see it? Like, go to that timeline and see what he did?”
Steve glanced at you. Oh, right. You were the one who knew most about time travel. “It’s a possibility. We’d have to ask Strange and Wong, though. I have no practice in the Mystic Arts, only theoretical knowledge.” As much as the Master in Y/Ci offered to give you formal training, you declined, having no interest in becoming a sorcerer. You still remembered most of your studies from 2020-2021, though.
Without saying a word, Natasha stood up from the couch and approached Strange, who was having a drink. After a brief exchange, she whistled and clapped, getting everyone’s attention. “Movie time, guys! And you will love our picks for today!”
Strange rolled his eyes and sighed, but you smiled anyway. Everyone gathered around the couch you were sitting on, assuming the movie would play on TV. Instead, Strange came to their view and explained.
“Some people here”, he started, looking pointedly at the four of you, “wanted to know what happened in the alternate timelines that were created in the quest to retrieve the Infinity Stones. Although I got considerably weaker after the physical destruction of the Time Stone, Wong and I still have enough power to fulfill such a request.” Then he properly turned to you. “How many timelines?”
You and Steve exchanged glances. After a couple seconds, he answered, “Five.”
Behind you, many voiced their excitement over the prospect of watching the timelines. Sighing, Strange called Wong and sat on the floor. After some silent meditation of their part, something similar to a portal opened, but, instead of showing another place, it showed another time period.
“That’s 2012″, Steve whispered. You leaned forward.
~~
Hey, I’m back! This story has been growing on me
If you don’t know or don’t remember what timelines the Avengers are going to see, here’s a recap:
Mind and Space Stones were retrieved in 2012, right after the Battle of New York, by Steve, Natasha, Clint and Scott. Steve and Reader delivered the Tesseract back, but hid the Mind Stone;
Time Stone was retrieved in 2017, from Strange, by Tony and Rhodey. Steve and Reader gave it back safely;
Soul and Reality Stones were retrieved in 2018, by Carol, Thor and Valkyrie, who battled Thanos in Titan. Steve and Reader left both Stones in Vormir, fully aware that the Reality Stone would no be acquired by whatever sacrifice made to get the Soul Stone (whose return prompted Gamora’s revival);
Power Stone was retrieved in 2014 at Morag by Nebula and Reader. It was buried under the sand at the same planet;
Last, but not least, as mentioned above, Steve went back to 1945 and rescued his past self, giving him instructions to change many canon events in order to create a happier timeline for everyone.
Next parts will mostly feature a narration of these timelines, with brief intermissions. See you soon!

The Stark Kids and where they went in life (my headcannon)
All 3 are Co-CEOs of Stark Indistries after Pepper retires at 65 (never remarried, and keeps her ring on every day until she dies)
MORGAN HOWARD STARK-POTTS
5-? years old: Lexi Rabe (I hope Lexi plays her as long as possible tbh, because to me she IS Morgan. But if not I have my fan cast for pre-teen and teen - adult Morgan here too)
Tumblr media
12-15 years old: Millie Bobby Brown (I got the idea from the new Godzilla, Idk I just like the idea of Millie playing an older Lexi, I think they look really similar)
Tumblr media
16 and older: Katherine Langford (I know some people don’t like this casting decision, which is fine, but it’s what seems to be the future and I think she’ll do great, she’s a good actress and I trust marvel with casting)
Tumblr media
Personality: Confident, Genius, very proud of who her parents are, Loving, if she’s quiet she’s either PISSED or so sad and/or anxious that she’s breaking down, has anxiety like her father did but handles it like a champ in most situations unless it’s overwhelming, professional like her mom, mannerisms are 55% Tony and 45% Pepper, family is most important thing to her, Tonys sence of humour, 25% little s*it, has her own Iron Woman suit like Pepper and helps Harley with his Iron Lad suits + Peters Spider-Man suits.
Idol(s): Mom And Dad without question
Best Friends: Shuri Udaku, Cassie Lang, Lila Barton, Cooper Barton, Nathaniel Barton, Monica Rambeau
Family: Virginia Stark-Potts (Mom), Anthony Stark-Potts (Dad), Peter Parker and Harley Keener (practically adoptive brothers), Uncles are all male avengers basically (but her favorites are Happy,Bruce, and Rhodey for obvious reasons), Aunts are all female avengers (but Carol Danvers , Hope Van Dyne, Nebula, And May Parker are her favorites) God mother: Natasha Romanoff, Grandparents: Maria And Howard Stark (she hates Howard after learning everything about how he treated Tony) and Peppers parents whoever they are 🤷🏻‍♀️, Sister in Law: Michelle Parker-Jones (Morgan has loved having her in the family since they met when Peter and Michelle started dating 😂 and Morgan was MJs maid of honor at their wedding)
She still vaguely remembers Tony. Occasionally watching the recording/ other videos of him and asking mom or her brothers or any of her aunts and uncles when she wants to learn more about him helps too...she’s so proud of who he was, but sometimes can’t help but feel like something great was ripped away from her. Like an almost perfect puzzle just missing one peice, her dad. (This is her favorite video of him btw ⬇️ 😂)
Tumblr media
HARLEY KEENER
Ty Simpkins is Harley no matter what (obvi 😂)
He’s 12 in Iron Man 3 And 17 when the Decimation happened ( he probably got dusted in 2018 so he’s still that @ the funeral)
Tumblr media
Personality hasn’t changed much, he’s still kind of a little s*it and loves science. He meets Peter and Morgan at the funeral and they are “The Stark Kids tm” from then on because they realize THEY are Tonys legacy, what he left for the world
Him and Tony had kept in contact since 2013, Harley started being invited for Thanksgiving and Christmas among other holidays in 2014 and has gone every year. He lives with his mom and his sister is off at college...once Tony died he started hanging out more with Pepper, Peter, and Morgan because he knew they needed support. And him and Peter knew they needed to make sure that Morgan knows who her dad was and what he did. It got to the point where he would spend a week with his mom, then a week at the stark lake house until he got his own house at 20, and then becomes Iron Lad with the help of his new found brother and sister Peter and Morgan, and some of Tonys old files and information about the suits. He helps keep things in order at SI and around the world. His mom and actual sister come visit every week. And Pepper, Peter And Morgan with all of the other avengers are his other family. He found a new family and purpose thanks to Tony and he’s forever grateful for it.
PETER BENJAMIN PARKER
Tom Holland IS Peter Parker period, end of discussion
Tumblr media
We’re still unfolding his story in the MCU, so this will be a little bit harder, but I have my ideas.
He was hurting bad for about two months after it all happened. Especially after her figures out why Tony invented time travel and his reason for helping the rest of the avengers...to get him back. He blames himself, for Morgan not growing up with her dad, and for Tony not getting the happy ending he deserved. That’s why he vowed to himself to protect Morgan until the day he dies and never let her forget how amazing her father was. But he learns over the years that Tony is still with him, and he’ll see him again someday. The experience of losing Tony and his run in with Mysterio matured him a lot
He went from this
Tumblr media
To this
Tumblr media
And it is (1) because of the emotional taxation of dealing with the death of his third father figure. The one he thought he would have for at least longer than Ben, but that didn’t work out.
this is the moment he goes from being a happy-go- lucky teenager to a strong, brave, man. Not because he wants too, but because he has experienced enough pain in his 16 years of living that the child-like feeling of euphoria “nothing can possibly go wrong” kids and teens usually have has faded
⬇️
Tumblr media
(2) He also matures because of the betrayal of Mysterio, the villain that hurt him the most mentally, that paranoia of him looms over peter in the future too...whenever something he feels is “too good” happens, ( graduates high school, marries MJ, etc.) he can’t relax because he wonders if quinten is still alive and tricking him. He still is positive, and the purest bean there ever was, no one can take that away. But he just takes his duties as a hero more seriously. He does the same thing as Harley, a week with May and a week with Pepper and his new older brother and little sister along with the avengers. He marries Michelle after 3 years of dating and after being married for a year they have two girls that are two years apart my headcannon names are Abigail Franklin Parker-Jones (Michelles grandmas name and you gotta keep Benjamin Franklin in the family since him, his dad, and his uncle have either Benjamin or Franklin as their middle name so Franklin is her middle name) and Riley Edward Parker-Jones (Tonys middle name in honor of him) and Miles comes in after Abigail but before Riley. Peter and Miles have practically a Carbon copy relationship to the one Peter and Tony had and Miles reminds him so much of himself at that age, being a surrogate father AND a real father too makes him appreciate what Tony Stark and Ben and Richard Parker did for him ten times more 😂 he’s convinced those three men are his guardian angels
Tonys legacies are these three...and he could NOT be prouder

Avengers: Endgame spoilers under the cut.
I’ll start this by saying that the movie is about a 8.5 or 9 out of 10 for me, personally, and only one thing really hit it down from being a 10/10. I got in to Marvel about nine or ten years ago, and the first Avengers movie really lured me in for life. I’ve met so many friends through these characters. These characters all mean so much to me because the early parts of this decade were probably my hardest (I hope) in dealing with depression and anxiety, and watching and reading and writing through these various characters’ struggles and victories made my own struggles more bearable. And while I know Marvel movies aren’t ending, for the majority of the characters I’ve come to know and love, their stories on film have come to an end. It’s difficult to not be emotional over it or feel passionate one way or another in how their stories have come to a close. Mostly, I’m just really grateful that someone convinced me to watch Iron Man all those years ago, because I think my life and the people I know and care about would all be very, very different.
With all that being said, here are my not-very-sorted thoughts after two viewings of the film.
What I liked:
That cold open. Man. Chilling.
Nebula and Tony playing that little game in the ship. It showcased really well Tony’s parental aspects and also something Nebula desperately needed (no manipulations, no tricks, just bonding time). I wish we got to see more of those two.
Movie luring you into a false sense of security with Tony and Steve seemingly making amends right after his rescue but then Tony has that mental breakdown and lashes out at Steve. That was raw and painful and so, so good. A quality scene tbh.
Steve leading a survivor’s therapy group. Really trying to live on in Sam’s spirit, I feel.
Steve offering to cook for Natasha.
Scott Lang arriving at the New Avengers compound.
The small, human interactions with Natasha. The scene where she, Tony, and Bruce are lounging around brainstorming and she's like, "if we pick the right time, there's three stones on Earth" and the two smartest Avengers are like :0 whoa she’s right.
On that note, we get to see a vulnerability to Natasha that hasn’t been explored too much. She cries. We learn something about her on Vormir ("Natasha, daughter of Ivan", and then going on to reveal that she never knew her father). We haven't gotten this much personal exploration of her character since Winter Soldier and it was great.
Hulk offering one of his tacos to Scott after he lost his. It was just a small sweet moment.
Testing out time travel. Steve’s deadpan “that’s a baby” really got me.
TIME TRAVEL! When it jumps to that huge ass 2012 text logo my heart of soaring.
Was not expecting that Rumlow and Pierce cameo! That was wild to witness especially because Avengers and Winter Soldier are two very tonally different movies. We get to see the aftermath of Avengers in small, cool ways and it really serves to fill in the gaps. Bonus points for Tony tug-of-warring over the Tesseract with Pierce that was hilarious and reminded me a lot of his demeanor during Iron Man 2 during his hearing with Senator Stern (“You want my property? You can’t have it.”)
Loki mocking Steve and prompting Thor to put the muzzle on him was A+
The nod to the elevator scene (the elevator noise is the exact same as the elevator noise in Winter Soldier; I know this bc I’ve seen the movie 15 times and I’m basically Pavlov’s Dog for CA:TWS). The “hail hydra” moment was awesome, and Steve leaving the elevator with that smirk was so satisfying, but I have questions about that timeline*.
Cap v. Cap. “I can do this all day.”  “--I know!”
“America’s ass”. The Avengers just all 100% being on board to Hit That is the team solidarity we need in these dark times.
The sense of utter dread I felt when past!Thanos caught on to their plan. I’ve never felt dread that way before in a movie, maybe not even with Infinity War.
I really wasn’t expecting Natasha’s death. I love/hate how you know from the moment that Natasha and Clint are going to retrieve the soul stone that one of them isn’t making it back. It’s a weird feeling; I’ve felt the feeling of the audience knowing something the characters don’t before, but never quite like this. Clint and Natasha’s struggle over who was to be sacrificed was painful and emotional. It’s also a really good contrast to the scene with Thanos and Gamora in Infinity War. Clint and Natasha’s struggle was truly born out of love (and how cool is it that we got to see the power of the love of friendship so blatantly and barbarically put on show?; “I owe him a debt.”). I really thought Clint was going to die, but was surprised when it was Natasha. Her death is really painful for me and I wish there was a way she didn’t have to die, but she laid down her life for everyone else’s; it’s an honorable death.**
The brief moment post-Hulk!snap. The birds singing. Clint’s wife calling him. It brought a tear to my eye.
Thor, Steve, and Tony all standing together again after four years of being apart or, in some cases, resenting one another. I felt whole again. All of them being in agreement that as long as Thanos is alone, they’re all down to kill him. Thor’s eyes lighting up. The three of them walking towards Thanos. They mean business. What a great moment.
Every time Steve’s shield broke apart piece by piece my anxiety increased by 100%. War flashbacks to Tony’s vision from Age of Ultron; the shield was literally broken apart the exact same way.
That shot of Steve being the last man standing against Thanos and his army was beautiful. I want that as a poster.
I’ve never cried tears of relief the way I did than in the moment I heard Sam’s voice and the portals started opening up. I was 100% sure Steve was going to die just before that and I WAS SPARED. The hope/relief I felt in that moment made me cry so much, and I don’t think that’s something I’ve ever experienced before in any form of media, so that’s a unique experience that’s pretty awesome.
THAT. BATTLE.
"Avengers... assemble." Steve Rogers marry me.
STEVE WIELDING THE HAMMER. Thor: I knew it! Me: bitch me too!
Seeing all those badass Marvel women fall in formation with Carol was awesome, though it hurt a lot to not see Natasha among them. She was the first of all of them (the first we were introduced to, at least).
Valkyrie’s Pegasus!
WANDA! “I don’t even know who you are.”  “You will.”  And then Thanos telling his army to rain fire because he literally can’t fend off Wanda. Amazing.
Nebula’s story arc was really well done.
“I am inevitable.” [empty metal snap] "And I...am...Iron Man."
I sincerely was not expecting to be as affected by Tony’s death as I was. I still very much so like Tony, but everyone and their mom knows that I reside very happily in Cap’s camp. But holy shit. I was not expecting for Tony to wield the gauntlet, but that’s an amazing moment from the comic books brought to film and I’m so glad they did. The aftermath was horrifically sad, watching Rhodey, Peter, and Pepper gather round him, plus the other Avengers-- Pepper telling him he can rest now and the camera just lingers on his face. I was trying not to hyperventilate cry in the theater the first time, and still cried like a baby the second time. Iron Man was the first Marvel movie I ever saw and the first Avenger I was really a diehard fan of. Tony Stark wielded the infinity gauntlet and saved everyone. From Infinity War; “I hope they remember you.” They will.
Watching Thanos get dusted was so satisfying.
Everyone gathered at Tony’s funeral.
Sam!Cap
The cast roll with the signatures of the main cast touched me quite a bit. Also it’s kind of a nice send off because it literally feels like they’re signing off on their ending contracts.
Literally so much else, but these are what stood out the most to me.
What I didn’t like:
They didn't have to do that to Thor. Does it make sense that Thor would spiral into an alcoholic depression? Yes, absolutely. Did he have to be the butt of every joke because of it? No, not at all. At times he felt like he was plucked out of an SNL skit. I just wished they would have handled that better instead of having him serve as a comic relief device so that the first hour of the film isn't too depressing. Like, how do you go from Thor’s entrance into Wakanda in Infinity War to...Endgame!Thor? It was easier to watch the second time around, but regardless, I wish there were just less jokes about him.
What was the point of Ronin? We got five minutes of seeing him in the Ronin suit and doing Ronin things for what purpose? I get that he’s suffering with the loss of his family and it’s meant to illustrate how much he’s been damaged by it, but it kind of seemed pointless overall. Otherwise no complaints about Clint.***
Rhodey taking care of Morgan Stark at the end of Tony’s funeral instead of Happy would have been a nice touch. I’m not very bothered by this one tbh, I’m cool with it, but that’s his best friend.
Steve going back in time to be with Peggy. I really don’t like it. It felt like such obvious fanservice to Steve/Peggy fans and it’s just like...let Peggy go. On second viewing it does seem like Bucky knows from the very start what Steve might do, or that they even discussed it beforehand, but I also feel like Bucky would have told him to not be a damn idiot and come back to them. He also literally bounces right after his friend’s funeral, after a conversation about how Hulk really misses Natasha/how he tried to bring her back with the snap, to which Steve says “I do too/I know”...then....peaces out. Also, I’m not going to sit here and say that Age of Ultron did too much for Steve’s character, but we danced this dance before and learned that it’s the Avengers that are Steve’s family and future. And it’s not just in Age of Ultron that this is hammered home; the conflict in Civil War works because the Avengers are his family. Saving Bucky at the expense of losing his found family wouldn’t matter if this wasn’t the case. It feels regressive to attempt to say otherwise in this movie, especially one where some of Steve’s best development was done by the same directors.
Asterisks/Questions Unanswered/Misc.:
* So in this timeline, Steve fought himself. He told his 2012 self that Bucky was still alive, he made himself seem affiliated with Hydra during the elevator scene in order to get the Tesseract. This isn’t the timeline in which the team gets their hands on the Tesseract, so...this universe still exists because they botched it. When Steve goes back in time to return the stones to their proper timelines, it’s returned to the 1970s, not 2012. So what happens to this universe as a result of that fumble? This would be cool to explore.
** When Steve has to return all the infinity stones to their proper places in time, what happens when you seek to return the soul stone instead of take it? Could Natasha have been brought back this way? I have so many questions. Also, I’d be curious to see Steve’s reaction to seeing the Red Skull as the gatekeeper of the soul stone.
On that note, why was there such an emphasis placed on the soul stone in Infinity War? Saying there’s a certain wisdom to it compared to the other infinity stones. What was that weird soft red void Thanos was in with younger Gamora right after the snap? Why wasn’t any of this followed up on in Endgame?
*** What was the point of the Ronin situation if not to incriminate him enough that it would have been right to allow Clint to sacrifice himself on Vormir?
Can you imagine that your significant other got snapped and 5 years go by and you’ve moved on and perhaps fallen in love with someone else...and then your dead wife/husband returns? Awkward. There has to be some sort of reality TV show in the MCU universe that deals with that. I’d watch that.
The Fornite scene with Thor & co. truly establishes a depressing future where all the game developers got snapped and now all we have is Fornite.

BIOGRAPHY
Born on Lumin, Liv was the youngest of 6 kids & spent her early years honing her shapeshifting & solar abilities. Her father died in war when she was young & her mother was left to raise the kids on her own. This became too much, however, & each child would be sent off to a different planet where they would have to fight for themselves. Liv would be sent to Earth in the late 1700s & she used her shapeshifting, solar powers, & agility to partake in carnivals & circuses. However, once the circus business died out, she was left with nothing. She would eventually be found by Nick Fury & recruited as part of S.H.I.E.L.D. to be one of their first secret agents. She joins the Avenger Initiative following the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D. & remains one of Fury’s secret weapons. She’s on Tony’s side in Civil War but stays out of the battle. She spends the following years lying low & correcting the mistakes she’s made in the past. During Infinity War, she joins Tony in the battle on Titan & is left stranded in space following the snap. When they’re rescued by Captain Marvel, Liv spends the next 5 years in a deep depression & lives off the radar. By the time they come up with the time travel idea, Liv has already given up hope on getting Fury & Maria Hill back. She still helps them, joining Rhodey & Nebula in their trip to the past. She’s able to return safely with Rhodey & is wounded in the final battle with Thanos. Following the final events of Endgame, Liv returns to life by Fury’s side & continues to fight any extraterrestrial enemies that come to Earth.

Hey, I just wanted to say I really love your blog! It's nice to see a fellow Tony stan! I had a question though- Recently I really want to write something Marvel related, preferably with Tony, but I don't really have any ideas. Do you have any suggestions?
Aww! thank you!!! I mean Tony deserves all the stans tbh!
Oh well, that depends on what kind of story do you want to write, fluff, angst, slow buit, etc? tbh I’m always a fan of good ole’ angst! but let’s see, these are some random ideas that just came to my head:
One where after IW Tony becomes really close to Nebula and they start being really good friends. After they get the people resurected, Tony is awkward with the team and Nebula persuades him into joining the Guardians and going on adventures to space.
5times Tony threw a party for an Avenger and 1 time the avengers threw one for Tony.
5 times Tony had an intervention and 1 time he didn’t need one.
After IW Tony goes back to Earth to Find that Harley is gone too.
I’ve seen some fanart around where Yinsen comes back to life after they resurect the people from the soul stone, so I’ve been dying to read something similar. Or one where Yinsen didn’t died and made it out of the cave and became a friend/advisor of Tony.
Anything Science Bros. I miss them.
Tony and May being super co-parenting bff who fight the pta moms (throw Pepper and Rhodey and Happy in the mix)
“Room” Au with Tony and Peter. (Don’t really know how it would work out, but I really love that movie and tbh I love Iron dad)
Anything Iron Dad, really.
De-aging! Maybe after the team gets back together and things are still awkward between them, Tony got de-aged by the baddy of the week and the avengers have to take care of him (With Rhodey coming in later and being Tony’s absolute favorite). Could be Tony slowly growing up and staying a certain age for a few days until he reaches his original age, or could be just a kid. Idk, I’m a succer for de-aged fics. Also baby!Tony would be the cutest thing ever.
I hope this could kinda help, If you do end up writing any of them let me know! I would love to read it!

It's been 4 years since the Civil War and Tony is in a much better place now, with new teammates, friends, and even a relationship.
But with the arrival of Thanos, things change, specially when Team Cap gets brought back to fight.
Steve and co, delusional as ever, think the can get to Tony and get him to fix everything for them. What they don't know, is that the New Avengers are a united front, and will show the Rouges that they are never getting to Tony again.
