The French Frontlines, early 1918: It's WWI and 21 year old Reese St. John is an Ambulance driver for the English Army.

She is also one of Cedric St. John's eight bastard children. Found and favored by her responsible Uncle Stephen, Reese carries out her uncle's wish that she track down and reunite with all of her missing siblings.

Part historic drama, part family epic with twists of mystery and romance; The 8 Bastards of Cedric St. John is an experimental writing project inspired in part the Modernist movement. The story will jump around in time and shift in perspective between the various characters to slowly unfold the whole story of Cedric's many children in 20th century England and beyond.

All names used in this project are not based on any real people living or dead. This is all my imagination. No one in this story was ever a real living person.

There's a new DBD villian out so here are your periodical reminders because im already seeing people refer to the new enemy as both "wend!g0es" & "sk*nwalker" & getting them mixed up:

The DBD team has already said that the new enemy wouldnt have anything to do with Native American mythology

Wend!g0es & sk*walkers are from Native American mythology, they are NOT "cryptids" (Algonquian & Navajo respectively)

Therefore, the new enemy is neither of those things

The whole "monster that mimics human speech & humans calling for help" thing was completely made up about ice cannibals by Stephen King in Pet Semetary iirc. This is not an original or even popular part of the "lore" or definitions of ice cannibals. Ice cannibals don't and cannot speak, let alone mimic human speech.

A sk*walker is NOT a "monster that wears human skin", or an animal wearing human skin, or a monster that looks like a "weird looking" animal, it is a human who utilizes ANIMAL SKINS, and as far as I know, they also don't do the "mimicking humans to lure them in" thing, they don't have to because they can already talk and are human.

These two beings from our cultures are not the same thing and have been heavily appropriated & bastardized & amalgamated by both the media & by moniyaws online.

Leave our spirits alone and stop calling the new DBD enemy these things because it's not anything close to what these spirits actually are.

she didn't exactly think this was how her senior year would go. not getting accepted in MIT, finding two other peter parker's and discovering five new villians in the past week.

to say she was shocked was an understatement.

y/n, mj and ned were all watching from above as peter grabbed the green goblin's glider, getting ready for the final hit. luckily peter two knelt down in front of him, the two of them having sort of a staring contest, which somehow magically made y/n's peter realize it wasn't worth it.

y/n, ned and mj all sat down on the makeshift roof top they were on, the trio not believing what had just happened.

y/n's peter on the other hand was talking with the other two peter's, before their conversation got interrupted by giant purple gaps filling the sky. the outlines of many people could be seen inside of them.

"uh ned, y/n, you two are seeing this too right? i'm not crazy?" mj asks her friends, in panic she's just seeing things.

ned and y/n calm mj down when they say they both see what's happening too.

while the three non superheros try to figure out what the hell's happening, peter leaves the other two multiverse peter's on the giant copper captain america sheild, as he swings up to talk to doctor strange who's trying to fix everything the boy has created.

"doctor strange, what is all of this?" peter asks, looking around at the people starting to come through the purple portals.

"all of these people know peter parker in some way, they're all trying to get to you," doctor strange explains, as he tries his hardest to close all the portals.

realization hits peter like a semi-truck.

"what if everyone forgot who i was?"

"what?" the question completely throws doctor strange off gaurd.

"you can use the spell so everyone forgets who i am, it's okay."

doctor strange looks at the teenager confused, "kid that means i'll forget who you are. everyone who knows peter parker will never remember you."

peter nods in confirmation, "that's okay."

doctor strange immediately removes his hands from the sky, as he starts recasting the spell peter ruined five times earlier that week.

"you might want to go say your goodbye's kid."

peter nods again, "thank you, sir."

"call me stephen," doctor strange smiles.

peter returns a small smile, before swinging away, "thank you, stephen."

first peter goes down to the other two peter's and awkwardly thanks them for everything they did to help. the trio share a hug, making y/n's peters' heart full.

then peter went to where his best friends and girlfriend were.

"peter, oh my god you're okay!" y/n exclaims, giving him the tightest hug she's ever given him. mj and ned both give him hugs just as tight after.

peter looks between his three best friends.

"you're all going to forget who i am."

confusion fills all three of their faces. "what?" mj asks, "what do you mean we're going to forget you?"

"peter what did you do?" ned asks.

"you guys it's okay, i promise. i promise i'll come find you and- and tell you everything and make you remember who i am," peter explains.

y/n hasn't said a word, still not believing she just has to forget the boy she's fallen in love with over the past four years.

peter walks over to the girl and holds her face in his hands, "hey, are you okay?" he whispers, pointing to the small cut on her forehead.

y/n nods, "yeah, yeah i'm okay."

peter sighs, "i'm glad."

y/n looks peter in the eyes, her bottom lip trembling, " i don't want to forget you peter. you promised you wouldn't leave me"

"hey, it's alright, i'm going to come find you, and i'll make sure you remember me."

"i'm holding you to that parker," y/n states, before laughing the slightest bit.

peter nods, before leaning in to kiss y/n.

Meleanor overblot theory (?)

From my understanding, when the group left to go catch up with Lilia and Baul. They notice the same thorns that Malleus use when he began to overblot. Thinking that she might have overblot, but will never know as they run to help Lilia and Baul. Other theorists believe that Meleanor might have overblot. If that were the case, then wouldn't we get to see a difference?

For example, the OB boy's phantoms have ink bottle heads, but with Meleanor's dragon form does not. maybe it's because the group can't see it or wasn't presented (tho we can't be separate from the person dream or else will fall to the "darkness"). Even during the battle, the difference was the smoke coming out. So perhaps she did overblot it's just that neither Lilia nor any one of the group knew if she did or not. Then again, this was way back then, so the overblot might have a different look compared to the OB gang.

What we know is Lilia and baul can't sense Meleanor's magic anymore, meaning she's gone. (NOOOOo!!!!)

The Senate

I thought they were some sort of faes, turns out there just a...idk voices? One thing I do know is that I hate them. They remind me so much like the most evil government. They trash talk of how Lilia wasn't strong enough to protect Meleanor, and worse, ungrateful. It was Lilia who managed to hatch Malleus once he knew parental love, and yet they still hate him because?!?!?!

This is might come to the future chapter, the senate are the real villians, the masterminds. Which if this is true, if Crowley turned out to be Levan is real, Malleus missing father, then that's his whole reason he is in his villain arc and still in line at a grocery store to get the milk (jk)

Levan wanting for faes and humans to live in harmony, but someone didn't wanted to happen so they might of separated Levan from Briar Valley, where he can't return if he wanted to or not (referancing to the lion king movie, where Simba ran away from home and couldn't return back). If Meleanor is somehow alive and part of her is still in the dark mirror, Crowley/Levan would need overblot crystals for to bring her back. If he did, why did he let Grim eat the blot crystals?

Simple, a powerful weapon that not even magic or technology could stop it.

Its similar to other's theories where Levan is Meleanor's eyes and wings. Referencing to the Maleficent movie where King Stephen locked away her wings in a cage. If this theory is somehow correct, perhaps Levan is still alive, just hidding away, waiting for the right moment to strike back.

What's next in the upcoming Book 7, chapter 7?

Silver, Sebek, Grim, and Yuu manage to wake up Lilia at last. Lilia buying some time, so the group left and meet up with telegram Ortho saying they'll meet up later as they landed in Idia's dream.

Finally, the shroud brothers doing their part as they were the recent overblot and need to defeat the current overblot, which is none other than the Malleus Draconia. So Ortho managed to break in Malleus dream barrier and it seems he also waked up Idia, too. Come to think of it, it might of been sad that Idia realized his brother is a humanoid cyborg and not a fully human.

So in the next chapter, Ortho might go to the other's dreams and tried to wake them up. With the previous theory that we all thought that Idia and Leona might team up together was because of the art where the housewardens in their coffins, the only ones who are out are Idia and Leona and Malleus as well being in the center. We might get close as Ortho might bring not only the regular students or the teachers, but the OB gang, or maybe the ones who are smarter to think this was an illusion. Which is why I think Leona might help out as well as the students who overblot too. In order for Malleus not let his overblot info be know to the world, but it will be different and will be consequences of his actions.

And lastly, when is the next chapter coming? I've been keeping on track on the dates, so maybe February or March. Perhaps more later in 2024 as I been watching Gasmask translate video saying the next chapter might come way later than the regular two/three months. A hiatus break? Who knows?

What I'm sad about is we didn't even get a glimpse of grandma Maleficia. not even a shadow figure. There probably will be a twst event where we get to go to Brair Valley. Will just have to wait and see.

Ok i love wanda i really do but in MoM i just couldn't sympathise with her at all like i did in wandavision her problems in Wandavision seemed i guess more real that i can understand why she created the hex unlike MoM that uses that exact reason of 'well she lost everybody' except now what she lost is not real at all her children were never there and idk using the same reason twice to justify her actions just doesn't work her problems now feel artificial to make her seem sympathetic but instead she comes off as the villian in both MoM and wandavision

They could have fixed her character in MoM by showing her corruption on-screen + a few scenes where she fights against the hold the book has on her. Think, Loki in The Avengers: Whedon gave us a few moments where Loki doesn't seem to be alright (The Other accessing his mind, the sceptre messing with the team, etc) so that we can understand there's something else going on.

But Waldron had Wanda go evil off-screen and she tells Stephen the worst part of Westview was "lying", as if she had been in control and aware of the whole thing the entire time - he basically retconned everything that happened in her series with that line (and he did that because he never saw it, he and Raimi only watched the post-credit scene).

And at the end of the movie she's not redeemed, no matter what the writer or the director claim. She only changes her mind once she sees her kids afraid of her. What of the power the Darkhold had on her? Do we ever see her breaking free from that? We don't.

Waldron just wanted his evil witch in the story and he ruined Wanda in the process. Frankly, the only one to blame here is Feige, he should be the one protecting these characters... but instead of that he hires Waldron to write the next Avengers movie 🤦‍♀️

The Wanda in MoM is not Wanda, it's a heavily ooc woman who looks like her. The real Wanda is in WandaVision.

Dr Strange

Yes this is out of order. It was my friends birthday yesterday and because i can't buy them a real present i decided to review their favorite marvel movie. I only realized while watching the movie ruthlessly ripping into one of their favorite movies was a bad idea.

in this review i will avoid the normal politics and only talk about the story, i will do a second review when i reach this in the timeline and talk about mads Mikkelsen, tilda swinton, and the weird asian mysticism in this but for now just the story.

Dr Strange feels like a magical kung fu movie, granted i have not seen a lot of kung fu movies. Stephen strange is an arrogant and intelligent man who loses his job as a neuro surgeon after having severe nerve damage done to his hands. When he tries to repair his hands through magic he is thrown into a magical war and eventually solves everything. The beginning of the movie sets up strange very well, it gives you the impression strange is a man who reluctantly cares about other people. He is arrogant, rude, and cares to much about status and money. The film does not cover stranges full arc into selflessness and humility but this is only the start of his character and at least ends in a better place than he was at the beginning.

The side characters don't have much character besides mordo. Mordo is set up very well as an eventual villain and is played very well by Chiwetel Ejiofor. His motivations and mysterious backstory are amazing, and he feels like a magical cop. Wong is funny but doesn't have much of a character. The ancient one will be saved for the second political review. Christina feels more like a plot device to push steven to be better rather than an actual character. Her only interest seems to be in steven. Kaecilius is a fine villain as just a puppet of dormammu. He serves as an interesting threat to the villians and has fine enough motivation.

The tone is my only real issue with this movie. It's constant jokes cut through its more dramatic story. The jokes are quite funny on first watch through but feel awkward on rewatches. I feel like the writers and director was forced to add jokes to better fit the marvel formula. It should have just sticked to a serious tone and cut most of the jokes.

The last thing i want to praise is the makeup, stunts, and vfk departments. The makeup for cuts, bruises, stitches, and injuries feels so much better in this movie than past movies and i have no idea why because i don't know shit about makeup. The stunts and the fight scenes are creative and fluid and should win the stunts oscar. Oh, wait. The vfx departments executes the magic and touches up the fights so well. It feels fantastical and very real.

Overall dr strange is a well executed marvel movie with good drama and misplaced jokes. It is a good movie and i'm not just saying that cause my friend likes it. Y'all better say happy birthday to them.
