I has a dilema because I wanted to have an actual invasive spiecies and also the classic red-withe mushroom, but turns out that Amanita Muscaria is also invasive. The more you know.
I made this little 1vs1 game about tentacle monsters catching mortals across a board to play with my dad on a plane. You only need pen and paper to play, so you can give it a try anywhere.
I want to improve my game design skills so I might make more of this between projects, this has been fun.
I'm doing my first Steam Next Fest Live next week!
Hiiii
I'm participating in the upcoming Steam Next Fest next week with Mycelium Heaven and I have to do a broadcast. It's my first time streaming and my first time in a fest like this one so I'm ads8fpiñojudsofiyhauikjg
I'm doing a Q&A playing the demo and chatting, so if you can come and say hi. If you come from here, cast me a cool spell when entering or something, that would be cool.
This weekend has been the GGJ24 and I went to a presential site for the weekend.
Here is the game if you want to check it out:
It's a cute local co-op game about two frog jesters who have to make their king laugh by playing instruments while they are chained. Both players have to use the same controller and coordinate to perform well.
Devlog / Idk I just want to share my experience
The game has some bugs that make it impossible to play well after the first game, so you have to close and open. We couldn't polish it as much as we would have liked but I had a ton of fun and I learnt a lot.
I went as a 3D and Tech artist, and I loved doing that part. I loved making the cute little frog (it also has a cute ass). And I enjoyed a lot making the shaders and particles for the game.
We had to change the main mechanic mid jam. Originally, you had to hold a sitck with fire, and throw it it the right moment so you don't burn, but it was being a bit complicated to make in engine, so we dithed it and added a falling bird. That's why the game feels a bit empty. Maybe if we have time we can add something to round it up a little bit (that's what every person that finishes a jam says but never does. But who knows, the game I'm going to publish came from the last edition of this jam).
Anyway, the weekend was great, I had fun and talked to a lot of great people. Now time to go back to studying and working on Mycelium Heaven.
