Professor Layton and The New World of Steam will launch for Switch in 2025, LEVEL-5 announced.

Here is an overview of the game, via its official website:

Story

This game depicts the world one year after the events of Professor Layton and the Unwound Future. The story takes place in Steam Bison, America. There, the power of highly advanced steam engines has ushered in a new world, greatly surpassing even London’s technological development. Due to a mysterious incident in Steam Bison, a new adventure for Professor Layton and Luke begins.

Characters

Professor Layton – Hershel Layton, Professor of Archeology at Gressenheller University. On the side, as an authority on riddles, he has worked with Luke to unravel mysteries all around the world. Since Luke has left for America, he has been acting on his own.

Luke – Luke Triton, Professor Layton’s self-proclaimed first apprentice. Due to family reasons, he is living in the United States. His love of riddles remains unchanged, and thanks to his innate creativity, he keeps solving everyday mysteries around town. He has gained some popularity as “Detective Luke.”

A selection of artwork I did for the Adventure Games Board Game for Kosmos Publishing. This one was a special treat for me since I've been listening to the audioplays of "The Three Investigators" for many years - being part of an official product for the series was a lot of fun!

The story follows the Three Investigators Justus, Peter and Bob on their adventure solving their newest case.

The style was supposed to be a little different from the previous games I illustrated, more heavy on linework to reflect existing artwork of the IP.

There was a really freaky puzzle game where you played as a cartoon fish, and it's sequel where you play as the main character's child and his 2 friends that had a big emphasis on juice. I don't remember the plot of either, just that they were freaky

Awesome idea

Co-op puzzle game where player 1 controls the main character and player 2 is their tail maw and you've gotta work together to solve puzzles.

Obviously the tail maw has reach and flexibility, maybe it can get bigger to lift heavy objects! But the main character obviously has the legs for moving, but also two hands that are more dextrous than the maw, so they're needed for interacting with certain objects.

Maybe there's even some items where you need the maw and hands to maneuver it properly!

This is a good idea I think

I love indie games, so when I play one I really enjoy I just have to share it. I just finished playing Chants of Sennaar on switch (also available on pc, xbox, and playstation) and it was beautiful!

Chants of Sennaar is a puzzle game where you translate various languages through context. You talk to locals, read signs, solve puzzles, complete stealth sections, and slowly piece together whole languages.

The way its laid out was incredibly well done, and each language had unique gramatic structures that made translating between languages an extra fun challenge.

It was $20 on the switch, and I got about 10 hours of gameplay from it. I highly recommend it 👍👍
