it's so hard being young and queer in this generation. Maybe not for all, but at least for me. I don't see myself reflected enough in the media, and maybe gay marriage is legal, and there is less hate towards the LGBTQ+ community, but there's always some. I walk through my school and people use the word gay as an insult. Most of the queer adults I know personally have stories of being hate crimed or facing homophobia by everyone, including those close to them. And they say 2023 is supposed to be better. Well, only a little bit. I don't feel respected by everyone, and I'm still scared of coming out to certain ppl. And still, some people don't understand how hard it is. How if I don't come out, I feel like I'm hiding something from them. After joining the community two years ago, I've noticed a lot of support but also hate towards LGBTQ+ people in general.
