Hey everyone! I am super excited to announce that we are launching a crowdfunding campaign to release our neoclassical album ‘X’ as a Vinyl. It's been a labor of love for a while now, and we can't wait to share it with all of you. It also gave me a great opportunity to work with Australian composer @mirla_sounds on our track “Crepuscule”. For those of you who don't know about the album, it was designed by the label Little Symphony Records @littlesymphonyrecords to promote collaboration not based on proximity or acquaintance but rather by exploring uncharted territory and push creative boundaries: 28 musicians, spanning Canada, Germany, the USA, Austria, Japan, the UK, France, Brazil, The Netherlands, Vietnam, Australia, and Italy, were split into pairs. I have long waited to produce this song - the theme came up to me a few years ago when I was improvising violin in the studios. I was deep into reading Joseph Campbell and wanting to convey the hero's journey - the one we experience when we go through our inner battles, especially after I witnessed some close friends overcoming depression. Quite at the opposite sonic end of the spectrum compared to my latest much softer productions, here are a few extracts from my first ever violin metal recordings I did 8 years ago. I just had my first 5-strings electric violin, bought at the Canberra folk music festival from Australian maker David Guscott. I didn’t know how to produce a track then, but enjoyed creating loops and jamming on top of it with my Boss GT-10. If I remember correctly this must be the first track I ever created on my Logic Pro / Apogee Duet setup (and yes the drums were just borrowed from the standard Logic Pro loops!).
