Somewhere along the way the term snowflake became derogatory in nature. Well, I say we reclaim it for good and positive things. I think a snowflake is one of the most beautiful reminders of God‘s love. Snowflakes are all completely original, incredibly intricate, yet fragile, not unlike us. I’m sitting here in South Florida—but a Michigan girl at heart—I so enjoying all the pictures of people catching snowflakes on their tongues, children making snowmen, and people having a white Christmas. Last night was the longest night of the year in a year that has felt like the longest year in a while. It amazes me that on that dark night we had an incredible convergence that allowed us to see something no one has seen in 800 years. As a woman of faith I want to see God’s plan in everything. Often I cannot. Last night was not one of those nights… Last night was another opportunity for me to marvel. Light shines in the darkness. Hate may be loud but love is more resilient. I see beauty in the ability for a starfish to regenerate when broken. Aren’t we like that as humans? We have an ability to heal too. So@estimes we have to choose to heal, but we do have the ability. Whether it is physical, mental emotional or spiritual. We can heal. When there is darkness there’s always light.
