My Durge is done ! The bg3 brainrot is real-

His name is Secure, he's a tiefling and an oath breaker paladin. He took his oath of vengeance twice because of the dark urges and finally gave up on it by becoming an oath breaker, since it was the best compromise between acting on his urges, and his will to not get consumed by Bhaal's malice. He's his own person, thank you very much~ The "resist the urge" arc is sooo well written (especially when romancing Astarion-)

Image that has been playing in my head the past few days: Crono shows Magus around the fair during some downtime between side quests. Show him what normal person leisure activities are like. Stops by a carnival game, one of those throw a baseball at a tower of glass bottles to win a plushie things, tries to show off.

Crono scores a direct hit on the bottom-middle bottle, but plinks off harmlessly. Remaining two tries, same thing. He turns about as red as his hair, stammering excuses as Magus brushes Crono aside and takes up a ball himself.

The first ball smashes straight through the bottom-middle bottle, glass exploding out the back, yet the tower still stands; the base and neck unmoved, the bottles above and to either side standing as rigid as ever.

Magus pitches methodically, smashing through each bottle on the bottom tier one-by-one. By the time one single bottle remains, the tower leans precariously, the glue holding the bottles together barely supporting their weight.

The terrified clerk, unsure now if he's more afraid of the knights who will surely soon bust his crooked business or this weirdo who beat his game, shakily hands over the only plushie won from his stand; a floppy stuffed cat with the biggest, saddest possible eyes.

Magus hands it off to Crono. That's what you're supposed to do with these things, right?

Magus didn't know why he kept staring at his eyes. Intimacy was a cruel curse, softening him to the point of stupidity. But he just couldn't look away from the golden gaze.

Glenn moved, both fast and slow, as if his mind didn't agree with the gesture of his hand. An hesitant touch, barely caressing Magus' face with the most precautions.

As if I was precious.

He knew he wasn't. But for as long as Glenn's hand brushed against his skin, he allowed himself to hope. A second, too quickly spent.

"Good night," he read on Glenn's lips as the man withdrawed his hand before turning away from him.

Magus couldn't bring himself to say it back. In the dark, he continued to stare at the broad scarred shoulders in front of him. They were tense – as they should have, he thought. Like mine. I would like...

He stopped himself there, shaken by what he mused, and finally closed his eyes. It wasn't enough.

I would like him to embrace me so bad.

Glenn looked at him, a breath stuck in his throat, lips barely open with want.

No, Magus thought, he needs it. But he doesn't want it the slightest.

He hates it.

A sly grin grew on his face as he moved forward, his nose almost touching Glenn's. He could feel the erratic heartbeat pounding at the end of the trembling finger tips against his cheek. Even better.

Magus could not have bared being wanted. Loathing was all he knew ; of others, of himself. In hatred, he found the most comfort.

Glenn closed the gap between them. The softness of his touch first startled Magus. His lips hesitantly moving against his, enamoured with the discovery of what it meant to give in.

And then, as if Glenn suddenly remembered who Magus was, pain.

The hand on his neck bruised his throat by forcibly grasping his hair. Magus groaned, kissed him harder, pulled him closer, his hold too tight on Glenn's waist.

A need, not a want, tried to remember Magus. He doesn't want me.

Deep inside him, the slight feeling of disappointment he felt tried to make himself disappear quickly, in fear of what he could mean.
