Even in the US, I was so scared about going to the con yesterday, but after all the compliments from strangers and amazing meet up with other Doctor Who fans in positive vibes, also see how may people coming to see Jodie, I feel a bit relieved and really enjoyed it 🥹! (Not to say she still has a lot of guy fans!!! Really, I do think there was half half in yesterday’s Emerald City Comic Con) I can totally understand and agreed with this.
That's why I hope one day fans of the Thirteenth Doctor will set up conventions just for Chibs era. We're clearly not welcome elsewhere and it really hurts going to cons only to be surrounded by bullies and loudmouth who compulsively shit on the era/13/Jodie, its made me not want to go to anymore fan events because I'm sick of it.
Yeah, and I often wonder those Doctor Who clubs around the world how many new members have they gotten in the last 6 years? Because if your a fan of the 13 era and especially if that’s how you got into the show, because the point of every new Doctor is to help pull in new and diverse audiences, why on earth would you join these clubs just to be apart of something where everyone tells you the thing you like is shit. Clubs wont survive if all they do is keep shitting on current eras of the show.
It’s funny at the panel yesterday Chris was saying he thinks the Doctor appeals to people because he’s an outside and a large part of the Doctor Who base identify with that, of being an outsider… so all these fans who love the show because they feel like outsiders and so come together with their love for the show have literally taken a section of the fandom and gone we’re going to make you outsiders. And boy do they like to act superior and like condescending.
Because let’s be real if you’re a 13era fan you are definitely the real outsider. It’s ironic that they themselves selves love the show because the world made them feel like an outcast and then they do the same thing to a subsection of fans. I get 13s fans do generally seem to be a different demographic to the fan base as a whole but the fact people who don’t feel like they ever fit in properly then tell a section of the fandom you don’t fit in here is pretty ironic.
Finally met one of my favorite doctors in Doctor Who as a Whovian❤️👀
Jodie is absolutely amazing and lovely! We met her and did a photo Op with her☺️ She is so full of positive vibes and such an adorable person. I’m glad we were able to make it to her 1 hour panel even though we didn’t have a seat!! I really appreciate the staff was trying to squish everyone as much as they can 🥹 (She’s just sdfffgh sooo cute!!)
There was also a panel about the interstellar space program and project SETI related one. It was absolutely fascinating and intriguing. Also the audiences’ question were just mind blowing and very detailed the deep thought, the panelists from the field are awesome and there were some intriguing answers!💡
Also… experienced how big the convention would be!—And a lot of hidden Whovians and some cosplaying whovians <3 (Kind of make some friends and everyone was having fun when we were all in line waiting for the panels and photo Ops xD)
I’m still wondering who will be coming for next ECCC 😏
Hello Anon, 👋🏻
Personally, I ship Five with Viktor/Vanya. Hmm, not sure how to put this…I mean I enjoy their dynamic, even though you didn't see them interact much, but you can still tell from some scenes that they are really close to each other and care about each other, even have deep trust towards each other. Also, you can also tell that they had been closed since they were kids. Even though Five went into the future, Viktor/Vanya still thinks that he would come back and make his favorite marshmallow peanut butter sandwich every day. On the other hand, I think Five was the only one who really read the book that Viktor/Vanya wrote. It may not be a popular opinion, but it is just my thought. Thank you for asking.
😊🏵️
Anyway, I sketched one of my fave UA characters/duos and might draw another from a different fandom. 💜
I wanted to thank everyone who followed, liked, and reblogged my posts, despite the fact that I'm not very active on social media, and most of us are into different fandoms. It's a huge help in my daily life for me.
My wish for you in advanced is that this Christmas season and always will be is that the pleasure of the season permeates your house and heart.
