i have no clue what the NATLA haters are talking about, the show is perfectly fine. is it as good as the original? no ofc not. but it’s not nearly as terrible as they’re making it seem.

all the complaints i’ve seen are these minor petty differences or things i just don’t see at all. people are so dedicated to hating this show that they refuse to really watch it for what it is.

the avatar fandom always does this, people were so toxic about Korra too. it makes me wonder wether these people actually like Avatar or just like the idea of it. cause they certainly don’t like seeing anything new added to the universe

current favorite consequence of the ever shifting dc timeline to accommodate new characters without aging old ones is that Jon is technically kons older brother

like if jon is like 12-13(no i will not acknowledge the age up) and damian is like 14 with Tim being around 5-6 years older than him that means tim is 19-20ish and met kon pretty soon post de-tubing

so kon had about 5-6 years of lived experience, making jon twice his age

originally kon was a totally individual character, his existence created a conundrum for superman that was really interesting but with the more recent addition of jon as a preteen that implies that for all of the conflict about superman being unsure what to do about being cloned and whether that means clark is a father, Clark was ALREADY a father, it’s just becomes so much more fucked up

so much angst potential
