The full moon hung heavy in the sky, and they slept. The light shone through their window, eerily bright, and James pulled Remus closer. The moon forced its way between branches and past mountains, refused the pull of the horizon, and Remus curled tight in James' embrace. And they slept.

"Don't you dare, that's too much like goodbye. Your last words to me will not be goodbye. Don't make me cry."

"Okay. Come here."

In the end, no last words were spoken, only a final embrace. Never enough, so much easier than goodbye.

Welcome to HP Microfic!

From our passion for fanfic about our favorite witches and wizards, we’ve decided to set up Tumblr dedicated to prompting fans of HP to write microfic and reblogging their works so everyone can appreciate it.

Anyone can join—from the most seasoned fic author to the first-time fandom writer!

What is a microfic?

It’s a story that can fit into 50 words. However, you’re welcome to make it longer or expand it into a full-length story if you want. We are here to help you get creative!

How does this all work?

It's pretty easy! A prompt will be posted on weekdays, and you use the prompt however you see fit. You can try to incorporate it into your story, or simply let it inspire you - the choice is yours. Then, tag us directly using @hpmicrofic. We will then reblog your microfic so that others can admire your work! Please make sure you are trigger warning (by signposting at the top of your post before your fic) and tagging your posts accordingly.

What is your NSFW policy?

HP Microfic is an 18+ space. However, since this is the internet and anyone can stumble across posts, we ask that you clearly label any NSFW content (by tagging AND signposting at the top of your microfic) to make sure that everyone’s microfic (and Tumblr!) experience is safe and enjoyable.

Can I submit a prompt?

Yes! We appreciate any submissions. Simply submit your prompt via ask and we'll credit you when it is posted.

May I publish my microfics elsewhere?

Of course! You’re welcome to post you microfic wherever you please, but if you post it here on Tumblr and tag us, we’ll be able to reblog your post.

Why didn’t you reblog my microfic?

Either we haven’t seen it yet (we’re only human, after all), or your fic was not trigger warned/tagged correctly.
