The Darkling sketches

I don't even grasp how tf I drew his face for the first time; if you scroll and find a little older (same art style) first Darkling concepts, I drew him to interestingly and for some reason now I couldn't grasp it. Maybe because I forgot my sketchbook and couldn't look back. But I like these too.

Mal concept(s)

While I was at making Alina and Darkling concept art/sketches, I tried to add more and more characters, one of them being Mal.

Now, I know, I know; he looks a lot like the show Mal but I can't help but love the show cast; I think they were very well casted. And, sorry again, I can't imagine Mal, a soldier, not having a sort of a buzzcut.

Also a bit of sad Mal because the last 100 pages of the first book made me sob at 2AM.

Alina sketches + Persona (Ingrid)

I forgot my sketchbook at home so I had to use random papers I found in my notebooks during class.

Idk why I started enjoying just drawing and drawing like I used to, because normally I'd just be concentrated on something else and then draw; when I was a kid, I just drew without even knowing what. And now I started to do it again, and I'm so confused but actually also happy!

Also before anybody thinks this is Alina slander or something; NUH UH. I love Alina, perhaps that's why I enjoy drawing her as much.

The bottom drawing is related to my persona's lore, which is pretty complicated, but in short; Ingrid is talking about living amplifiers, since she is one as well, and often called the amplifiers (such as the stag, etc) 'friends'.

I remembered and old game I tried to work on back in 2021 (?), because I had plenty of time and new ideas; new hobbies. It was a simple, kind of DDLC inspired, game. But since quarantine fell off, I haven't even looked at the code. I decided to redesign the two MCs because their old designs were kind of meh and at the same time interesting.

Alina concept(s)

While I was at drawing the Darkling, I also tried to draw how I'd imagine Alina.

I was actually surprised when I found out that Alina isn't half Shu in the books (yes, I discovered the adaptation first). So when I was doing my concept sketches, I still wanted to give her that lil part in, because I believe it was pretty good decision from the writers of the Show; to make her half Shu. It explained a little deeper why she'd feel like an outcast, why is there so much mystery behind her background, etc.
