I love the way Larian's Faerun is Bisexual. I love how the majority of the characters are Bi or Pan and no one is fucking weird or prejudiced about it.

i did not spend 6 years before that series finale analyzing this character front to back and thinking “he’s done so much for his brother and for everyone he cares about, he deserves retirement. he deserves to be with his family. he’s had such insane character development, this is the only thing that makes sense at this point” and watch EVEN THE CHARACTER HIMSELF say how he wants them all to go on a vacation and how he needs them all to be okay and to be a family.

only for him to be killed in the shittiest way possible (not even fighting the big bad of the season/show) before the second commercial break 2 episodes after watching his best friend be taken from him.

the series finale is bullshit and i hope no one watches it if they decide to start SPN.

I suggest ending at s15 ep 19, at the very most.

last night i watched the first episode in supernatural and within 10 minutes i put it on pause because in NO way, through the 15 seasons, should anyone be happy with how dean's story ends with him dying whilst hunting

because in the 10 minutes that ive learnt about him is that he's spent his entire life fighting, and he dies FIGHTING

no satisfying narrative ends like that, especially not for one thats run for 15 years

i simply just ignore it. on rewatches i go until 15x19, or stop right after 15x18 if i want, and i simply pretend it doesn’t exist.

as devastating as Cas’ death to me is, watching my comfort character of 6 years atp die in one if the most unoriginal ways imaginable broke me. so i refuse to do it again and will live in blissful ignorance that he is still alive and happy.

How did YOU guys cope with the spn finale? Bc let me tell you, i wrote like. 5 essays and 4 fanfics and it’s 3 years later and i still feel a gaping hole in my heart.

something ive heard about the baby au stuff is that it’s a way for fans to see Jack being happy, and like that’s nice and I want him to be happy too, but it’s still very weird to me that the fandom’s idea of his peak happiness is him being a baby. cuz not only is it weird to think about when you consider that they’re autistic, but it’s also just straight up wrong???? Like there has never once been any implication in the show of them wanting to be a baby or an actual kid or of that being the pinnacle of their happiness, and in fact he would literally fucking hate that because he literally hates being weak and helpless. (Not to mention how his entire character struggles with autonomy in the show already??, so why the hell would he want to lose something he’s been fighting to have his whole life). He rapidly aged himself in the first place because of Kelly telling him the world was dangerous and literally tells Michael that he isn’t a child. They decided to be a young adult.

Its shown numerous times that he wants to be strong and capable of protecting his loved ones, and that that their true happiness is just being with his fathers, and I think that part is where it gets misconstrued. Somehow, Jack expressing that he’s done being a teenage messiah/perpetual time bomb of evil and that he wants to enjoy simple human things got turned into “he wants to be a widdle baby with cute domestic gay dads” Which is also just wrong and weird. Like what form of scientific phenomena is it that so many people are all collectively able to envision the true happiness of an autistic person as 1) being an infant, or 2) being an infant that’s really just a prop for domestic deancas but nobody wants to admit that.

What’s the deal with literally nobody understanding his character, even as fans of him. Y’all can write whole college theses about how much Dean and Cas want each other carnally but can’t manage to make heads or tails of Jack wanting to be a capable protector and living a human/hunting life with their family. You can’t see any single complexity or flaws in his character, and if you do, you just throw it out the window to make him a helpless baby with none of his actual personality and shove him into the swaddling arms of Dean or Cas (or Sam if you even bother including him as the estranged uncle).

y’all are just very very weird about him on many many levels that are both the “just generally annoying and frustrating” kind of weird, and the “borderline if not blatantly inadvertently ableist” kind of weird. And it is six long years overdue that we start addressing it.
