Hi all! Sorry for neglecting this blog. I have been trying to find a job (unsuccesfully, this country is in a recession) and studying on my own (korean writing system for now).

I should start working on the applying for PhD mayhem in september. I'm excited and also stressed! But this is something i've wanted to do for a long time, so i'll try my best. I'll be applying to the literature program, and my study keywords are: posthumanism, feminism, decolonialization, old literature, horror stories, 1800s, gothic literature.

I'm also gonna start really working on my language side (norwegian to make me actually be not scared of speaking it since i know enough already to do so) and korean (help me!!! Help meeeee). I'm really slow learning languages so it's gonna be a whole thing but i'm up for it.

I've been reading a lot and trying to keep my brain active. I feel so bored and disconnected out from uni.. so i wanna get back.

🦇other hobbies: being in nature, going to metal/punk/goth events, being tired at home

🦇 trying to find a "normal" job so i can then study in peace without money stress

Distant future studt plans:

🦇 languages i want to learn: ukrainian, old norse, church slavic, polish, german (revisiting), spanish

🦇 fields of study i'm interested in: decolonial study, literature, art history, history (medieval, iron age, non-european/western) feminism, posthumanism, philosphy, violence studies (basically "why are some people violent/do crimes and how it can be prevented")

Gonna see the Cluny tapestries today 🤍🤍 5 very famous medieval tapestries called the Lady and the Unicorn series. I have been waiting to see them for so long, medieval history student needs to see them!

Visited Louvre, Versailles, Chartres cathedral, X amount of smaller gothic churches and i'm soo happy. Paris is a history student's dream <3

I have just graduated but the studying won't stop 👽👽👽 i'm too curious to stop reading academic research

Of my major was/is literature but history + feminist societal studies were my very much loved minor subjects.

I turned my thesis in today. I feel empty and tired and wrecked. Also it probs still has some errors or something but i just wanna be done. + i gave it my best so.

So i'm done with master's thesis. Next up: thesis review and paperwork for graduating.

I'm feeling depression blues. I took a shower and now i feel a bit more human. I want to go back to sleep. I'm so tired and confused: what will i do now, when graduating is just a couple of weeks business?

I want to get a job that i can manage. Maybe secretary, office, library work or something like that. I have started to look for jobs already, but taking the step and actually applying for them seems too anxiety-giving. But at least i now know if there's new interesting jobs available. I get email notifs if something comes up.

Thesis wise i'm waiting for my professor to give her final comments and then i can edit a little bit and then turn it in, finally. Then i gotta wait for the review/grade and then i can start asking for my graduation papers. Master of literature. Sounds fucking cool.

I wanna go to the people's uni (like cheap courses for different subjects) and start working on my german and norwegian. I wish i could learn korean at some point too. So studying won't end even tho i graduate :)

Thesis is doing good! Managed to write the entire structure and "research plan paper" has been turned in last week. I got the thesis class when i get other people's opinions about it tomorrow. I think it will go well or at least i will get a lot of helpful comments.

It's so weird to think that i will graduate next summer and then i'm on my own in the scary adult world! I want to continue to a Doctorate later but i gotta work first a bit, my savings are running low..

I finally got myself unstuck with my thesis. I’ve been having multiple anxiety attacks and all about the thing. Not knowing what i’m doing and how. Now i do. Feels so nice. I mean i got 2 more days until i gotta return the “thesis outline” or “thesis plan”.

I’m also having anxiety because i have no idea what to do after i graduate so i have been mentally putting graduation further away with not doing the thesis.

So now i will just suck it up, stop crying about it and do the thing.

Trying to get back to study habit. I got only my Master's thesis left for uni. Then i am done and graduate. It's a surreal thought. I don't know what to feel about it really.

Today's plans:

🦇 Reading "Anthropocene feminism" for 1h with notes

🦇 Writing down my quick notes to the actual Master's thesis word document

🦇 Forming new ideas for the Thesis

🦇 Reading Dracula for 100 pages (i'm doing a vampires themed Thesis once again & being a goth stereotype)

I gotta have my Thesis outline (8-15 pages) done by next week's tuesday, so far i have 2 pages so it will be study mayhem weekend

Only 4 pages left for my native american literature portfolio! Currently on page 19. Also i have started the modern ecocritical essay as well and the Faulkner one is still in the vast realm of vague ideas. I think i could actually survive this workload. Actually. I got 2-3 weeks left.
