Steve Rogers x Natasha Romanoff (part 7)
Steve reached his bedroom shortly after he managed to escape his arguing teammates and as soon as he sat on his bed he let out a breath he didn’t even know he was holding.
“What a mess…” he mumbled to himself as his back hit the mattress, his feet still pressed to the ground.
He stared at the ceiling, the voices from the hallway just barely reaching him. Millions of questions were swirling in his head, though he wasn’t sure whether he truly knew the answer to any of them, nor if he actually wanted to know. But somehow, despite his best efforts to brush them off, they just kept coming back to him stubbornly. Was Tony right about his feelings after all? And if so, would he really be willing to help him out or did he just see this as a new opportunity to mock him? What about Clint?
His train of thought was interrupted by a knock on the door.
Steve closed his eyes feeling the annoyance slowly taking over his body, his mind coming up with various ways to murder the insufferable billionaire.
He was about 2 seconds away from calling Tony all the names under the sun when the door slowly opened, revealing the figure standing in the doorway.
Relief washed over Steve and his anger subsided when he was met with the sight of a young brunette with a sheepish look on her face rather than the one of the know-it-all genius he had been dreading. He smiled and motioned her to come inside. She hesitated for a second longer before closing the door behind her and sitting next to him.
“Are you okay?” Wanda asked, her voice laced with concern.
“Yeah, just a bit cranky” Steve chuckled trying to brush it off. “Didn’t really get enough sleep last night”
Wanda just stared at him for a long moment and he felt so exposed under her thoughtful gaze. It was almost as if she knew what he was thinking, what he was feeling. She averted her gaze to her lap where she was fiddling with her fingers, frowning slightly.
“You know you can talk to me, Steve”
The soldier sighed, admitting defeat almost instantly. He knew that there was no point in trying to put up a front for her because he knew she could read all of them like an open book. And after all, this conversation was bound to happen at some point, so they might as well get it over with.
“I know, but… I’m still a bit confused about my own feelings and I just… I don’t know where to start.” He said truthfully and ran his fingers through his hair in frustration.
“Maybe start by explaining what happened in the kitchen? With Tony…?” she suggested and Steve took a deep breath before telling her everything that happened these last few days: from the first time he felt that foreign feeling in his chest while they were watching movies, to his outburst this morning and lastly: what Tony had to do with any of it.
“And what do you say about Tony’s idea?” Wanda asked him, a glint in her eye as she studied him.
“I…” Steve stopped and thought about his last conversation with Tony.
“Maybe if you weren’t so damn stubborn you would’ve just accepted your feelings for Nat and tried to figure out a way to tell her instead of acting like a child”
Then another image appeared in his head. Fiery red hair, a confident smirk playing on perfect, soft lips and finally the slightly daring look in those piercing green eyes. And just like that, the answer became clear as day. He felt heat creeping up his neck, his face turning a deep shade of pink. “I think he might be right.”
It took everything in Wanda to suppress the smile threatening to break out on her face. Needless to say, the fangirl inside of her was doing a little victory dance while screaming in joy.
“Do you think…” Steve paused and sat upright, fidgeting nervously. It was quite an endearing sight, seeing a man his age, reputation and physique being so antsy because of a crush. “Do you think there’s a chance that she likes me back?”
Wanda’s eyes softened and she reached out to put her soft hand on top of his and squeezed it ever so slightly. She opened her mouth to reassure him, to say that yes, of course Nat likes him back. But she stopped herself when she remembered the scene she had witnessed just before leaving the kitchen: Natasha and Bucky engulfed in a conversation, their faces much too close for a casual talk and a hint of disappointment covering Natasha’s features when he pulled away. Wanda’s inner struggle must’ve been showing on her face because Steve looked at her questioningly.
“I’ll try to find out” she forced a smile, hoping it didn’t look as fake as it felt. He studied her face for a second before smiling back at her genuinely.
“Thank you, Wanda” he said gratefully as he pulled her into a side-hug. She leaned into him, her thumb gently rubbing circles on his hand. When she looked up at his pure blue eyes, she prayed to anyone who would hear her that her eyes had deceived her this morning, that her assumption was wrong.
He doesn’t deserve heartbreak. Especially not the one as cruel as that. She thought to herself, her heart twisting painfully in her chest at the mere thought of that possibility.
Just then, the door swung open and Clint walked in without knocking (a really annoying habit of his if you ask any of the other residents of the tower).
”Wanda, you-” his voice died in his throat as he caught sight of the two of them. He stood there for a few seconds, an unreadable expression on his face, before Steve cleared his throat and snapped him out of his thoughts.
“Sorry… Bruce called. You. To, umm… come out. I mean, he, uh… ” Clint fumbled over his words and the pair watched him in utter confusion. He took a deep breath and seemingly gathered his thoughts, because the next words that came out of him mouth were more coherent. “Bruce sent me to tell you that he’s waiting for you in the lab and that he needs your help with something.”
The look of realization flashed over Wanda’s face and she jumped to her feet.
“Oh God, I totally forgot about that. Thank you Clint” she patted his shoulder as she passed him and rushed to the door, but stopped just before exiting and turned to Steve once again.
“I’ll talk to you later”
They shared a small smile before she slipped out and he was left alone with the archer.
“So…” Clint started, rubbing the back of his neck. He looked like the embodiment of discomfort and everything from his posture to the look on his face screamed awkward but Steve couldn’t tell why for the life of him.
Steve gave him a questioning look which Clint didn’t catch because his refused to meet his gaze. Not knowing what else to do, he stood up and walked over to his comrade, putting a steady hand on his shoulder.
“Are you okay?”
“I should be the one asking you that” Clint laughed dryly. “Though you seem to be in a better mood now.”
“Yeah, I actually am.” Steve smiled to himself, thinking of his conversation with Wanda from mere minutes ago.
“Look, Steve” Clint said as he finally looked the soldier in the eye, a sudden seriousness washing over his features. “Tony told me about certain problems you’ve been having concerning you love life and although he took his time beating around the bush he managed to get his point across. And I-”
He stopped himself and took a deep breath. It was evident that he was distraught and struggling to put his thoughts into words, but in all honesty his friend was in no better condition. Steve felt his stomach drop at Clint’s words and color drained from his face in horror.
Clint knew. Tony freaking told him and Clint knew and now he’s here to confront him and if Steve ever gets out of here alive (both physically and mentally) their team will be consisting of one less member by the end of the day.
“Clint, I-”
“No, Steve” the other cut him off with determined voice, but he seemed less stern now and more concerned. “Just listen, okay? I’m sure that Tony has tortured you enough already and I have no intention of doing that. It’s just that… Are you sure? ”
The question threw him off.
“What do you mean?”
“I mean, are you sure that you like her?”
“Of course I do” he responded quickly, feeling slightly offended. Why would Clint ask such a preposterous question? What was there not to like about Natasha? Clint of all people should know just how likable she was considering the amount of time he spends with her. Despite still feeling a bit defensive, Steve realized that in reality he himself actually came to terms with his feelings only recently. He sighed and added a bit more calmly: “I mean, now I’m sure of it. It took me some time to figure it out, but now that I think about it, I feel like there’s a chance I’ve always felt that way towards her. I just hadn’t realized it.”
They stared at each other in silence for a few moments, Steve’s face painted with newfound determination and certainty while Clint studied him intently. Then, his expression changed into a more relaxed one, corners of his lips turning up slightly as a small smile replaced his frown.
“I trust you Cap. I really do.” He said with a genuine voice. “I just wanted to check if you were serious about this. About her.”
He put his hand on Steve’s shoulder and gave it one firm squeeze which somehow felt both like a reassurance and a warning. “She’s like family to me. Don’t break her heart.”
With those words, he turned around and left the room, closing the door behind him. Steve couldn’t bring himself to move even after Clint’s footsteps could no longer be heard from the hall. The conversation took a really unexpected turn and he kept replaying it in his head, trying to let it sink in.
Did Clint really just tell him that he doesn’t have romantic feelings for Natasha, while also giving him a blessing to try to win her over?

Steve Rogers x Natasha Romanoff (part 6)
Steve was on his way to his room with a clear plan in mind. He was going to lock himself, read a book or something and pretend he doesn't exist until hopefully everyone forgets whatever the fuck just happened. He's already spent more than 60 years in ice, what's a few more in his room, right?
"Hey Cap", a voice called out from behind him.
"God damn it", Steve mumbled under his breath. Of course the universe wasn't going to make this any easier for him.
"What's up with you and cursing lately?", Tony chuckled. "I thought you were the one wh-"
"Oh shut it Stark this is all your freaking fault!" Steve cut him off harshly as he turned around to face him.
"How the hell am I the one to blame in this situation?!" the genious exclaimed with a biwildered expression.
Steve could feel the anger boiling up inside of him. How is it humanly possible for a person to be this obnoxious? "Don't play dumb with me, you know exactly what you did! If you hadn't put those stupid ideas into my head before, none of this would've happened!"
"Or maybe if you weren't so damn stubborn you would've just accepted your feelings for Nat and tried to figure out a way to tell her instead of acting like a child"
"There's nothing to tell Tony! That's the whole point!" the supersoldier ran his hand through his hair in frustration.
Is there? He thought to himself, trying to ignore how his heart fluttered slightly at the mention of Natasha.
"Yeah, keep telling yourself that. Look where that got you."
An exaspirated sigh escaped Steve's lips. "Can you just pleas-"
"Hey, what's going on?" Clint asked as he caught up to them, a confused expression on his face.
Tony sighed. That idiot just had to be his usual nosy self and tag along, now didn't he? "We're trying to have a conversation here, Birdbrain. Very serious matters involved. So why don't you just fly away somewhere, huh?"
Clint just made a face at him, clearly unamused. "I see your nickname-giving skills are still at their lowest. And can you stop harassing Steve? He clearly doesn't wanna have this "serious conversation" with you right now, and I'm pretty sure you did enough damage back in the kitchen."
"Thank you Clint", Steve muttered, a spark of hope lighting up his chest. He might actually have a chance to avoid this conversation. Maybe they'll just let him go. Maybe Tony will drop it, just this once...
His relief was pretty short-lived, as Tony burst out laughing. "Oh I made damage in the kitchen? Wow, am I the only one here who has a grip on reality? What is wrong with you people?"
"Geez, how many coffees have you had this morning? The gibberish coming out of your mouth makes even less sense than usual", Clint chuckled.
"Okay I'll just be blunt with you. You are the reason our delicate little friend here got upset"
At this point Steve really had to restrain himself from facepalming.
"Bullshit", Clint laughed, but then turned to Steve warily. "Right?"
"Um... yeah, no, Clint you... didn't do anything wrong." Oh God, how Steve wished that ground would just open up and swallow him right then and there.
Getting confirmation of his innocence from Steve seemed to encourage Clint to argue with Tony some more. "Told ya. You can't even take responsibility for your own actions"
"Seriously Barton, just let us finish the goddamn conversation, this doesn't concern you."
"You just said it was my fault!?"
I seriously cannot believe this is happening right now.. Steve thought to himself, shaking his head in disbelief. He slowly began losing hope of escaping this very awkward situation anytime soon, when two figures turned the corner and walked up to them.
"Jesus, guys, we heard you from across the hallway.. what's all the fuss about?" Bruce asked, though not entirely sure if he wanted to know the answer to that question (it's Tony and Clint we're talking about here after all).
"Birdman here was being nosy and when I decided to actually give him the explanation he wanted, he got mad."
"Oh yeah, that "its your fault"-talk really cleared things up for me. Great freaking job Tony, I'm an enlightened man now!"
As Clint and Tony continued to argue and Wanda and Bruce seemed to try their best to make sense of their shouts, Steve saw this as a perfect opportunity to escape and he slipped away as quietly as possible.
However, unbeknownst to him, that action didn't go unnoticed by a certain brunette.

Steve Rogers x Natasha Romanoff (part 5)
As Steve rushed out of the room followed by Tony and Clint, the rest of the team stayed silent for quite some time, trying to take in everything that's happened.
Bruce cleared his throat awkwardly.
"Well that was... ", he trailed off, not really knowing how to put it into words.
"Yeah..." Sam mumbled as he found himself at a loss for words probably for the first time ever.
Bucky was sitting with a frown on his face, lost in thought. Even though this situation was extremely confusing for everyone else, Bucky knew exactly what made his best friend lose his temper. He's known Steve for as long as he can remember and he had witnessed quite a few of his jealous outbursts. However, it was all before they joined the army and Steve was given the Super-Soldier serum, so in those rare moments his pal looked a lot like a child throwing a tantrum because it couldn't get the toy it wanted. A small smile crept across his face as he realized that even though Steve has matured a lot, deep down he was still that little clueless kid when it comes to girls.
"What are you smiling about?"
Bucky looked up and saw Natasha taking a seat next to him with a cup of coffee in her hands.
"Nothing. I just... remembered something." He kept his eyes on her, trying to figure out whether or not he should somehow imply his friend's feelings for her.
"Oh come on James, I know something's up. You never smile." She teased him, a playful glint in her eyes.
Bucky scoffed at her. "Look who's talking!"
Natasha suppressed a laugh and gasped in mock hurt. "I smile!"
"When you're trying to seduce a target during a mission, yeah"
"Ah, minor details." she rolled her eyes at him and took a sip of her coffee.
Bucky stared at her a second longer and finally made up his mind. "On a serious note, I do have something I want to talk to you about Natalia." He said as he leaned a bit toward her.
"Oh", she said surprised. She wasn't exactly close with the soldier, but the fact that they both went through similar hell in the past connected them on a different level, even though they've never talked about it. "Okay, go on."
Bucky opened his mouth to speak, but remembered their surroundings. "Not here. Not now." He leaned back in his chair and continued eating his breakfast in silence. That conversation is gonna have to wait for another time, when they would have more privacy.
Natasha frowned at him, but decided not to push the subject. She knew Bucky was never the one to initiate a conversation, so she didn't want to pressure him and make him uncomfortable. She can wait.
Wanda's POV
I couldn't help but feel bad for Steve. Tony really knows how to push someone's buttons. I looked at Natasha, curious to see her reaction to this whole mess. She stared at the door for a few moments, a confused expression written on her face, before brushing it off and taking a seat next to Bucky.
Jesus, clueless much?! It honestly couldn't have been more obvious that he got jealous and she just acts like nothing happened! Damn, that's cold Natasha. Even for you.
I let out a frustrated sigh and started massaging my temples.
I need to figure out a way to get them together soon! All those little glances when no one's watching and how he sometimes stares at her with that loving look in his eyes and the way she smiles at him and how they would literal-
"Hey Wanda", a deep voice suddenly interrupted my fangirling thoughts and I shrieked.
"Oh my... um, sorry. I didn't mean to startle you", I turned around and saw Bruce standing there with an apologetic look, his hands up in surrender.
"It's okay, my mind just wandered off a bit", I laughed nervously and scratched the back of my neck. "You were saying...?"
"I wanted to ask if you're free now because I need your help in the lab. I'm working on a new project and your powers would be quite useful."
"Oh, yeah. Sure", I got up and followed him to the door. Just before I walked out, I glanced at Natasha one last time and saw Bucky's face a bit closer to hers than necessary for a regular conversation. Then he suddenly pulled away and she frowned at him, clearly displeased with his action.
Since when are they so cozy with each other? I wandered as Bruce and I walked towards the elevator at the end of the hallway, from where a sound of bickering could be heard.

Steve Rogers x Natasha Romanoff (part 4)
The next morning, the Avengers were slowly gathering in the kitchen: some preparing breakfast, others sipping their first cup of coffee for the day. Steve was the last one to arrive, which was more than unusual considering he was always the first one up. That's why all eyes were on him when he slowly walked into the kitchen, rubbing his eyes sleepily. Tony was the first one to recover from the shock and speak up. ,,Whoa! Is this for real? Or am I still asleep? Are you guys seeing this? Somebody pinch me." Steve just glared at him and let out an annoyed groan. ,,Hmm.. that bad, huh? Damn, Rogers you look really bad. Like, REALLY bad. Did you sleep at all? Or did you have something on your mind that kept you awake?", Tony smirked knowing exactly why Steve wasn't able to fall asleep last night. ,,That's enough Tony", Steve growled at the billionaire while putting a few pancakes on his plate and taking a glass of milk. Meanwhile, the rest of the team was watching their little argument silently, feeling quite confused. Steve was well aware of their curious stares, especially the one coming from a certain female spy, but there wasn't really much more he could do at this point than to hope Tony would drop the subject.
Seeing that the little bickering was over, the Avengers carried on with what they were doing. Natasha stood up and walked to the cupboard to get some more coffee, however it was on the shelf at the very top, just out of her reach. She sighed and hopped swiftly on a chair, grabbing the jar of instant coffee, when she suddenly lost balance. She closed her eyes and braced herself for the impact, but... it never came. Instead, a rather muscular pair of arms was now holding her gently, yet firmly. She opened her eyes and found Clint softly staring down at her, their face inches apart. ,,I guess you finally fell for me~", he teased, a huge smirk playing on his lips. Natasha rolled her eyes and playfully hit him. ,,Idiot", she snorted and smiled at him.
At this point, Steve just couldn't take it anymore. He slammed his fists on the table, got up and stormed out of the room, leaving his commerades in complete shock. They shared confused glances, not really knowing what to do since this outburst was very out of character for their sweet and calm friend. Tony sighed and pulled a hand through his hair, feeling bad for teasing Steve.
"He still can't handle his own feelings... It's such a shame."
"I'm gonna go check on him. We really shouldn't leave him by himself in this state." Tony said as he headed towards the door.
"You really think that's a good idea, Tony?" Clint spoke up just before Tony walked out causing him to stop in his tracks, his back still facing the rest of the team. He kept silent, waiting for him to continue.
"I mean, after all, you are the one that made him upset in the first place".
The genius faced the archer and searched his face for something, however found nothing but confusion and sincere worry. "You really don't get it, do you Legolas?", he shook his head sending a sad smile and walked out.
"The fuck is he talking about?" Clint furrowed his eyebrows and mumbled to himself. After a few seconds of debating whether or not he should go after his upset friend and possibly even find out the meaning behind Tony's words, curiosity got the best of him and he headed out. The team watched him silently, nobody making an effort to stop him.

my favourite thing is probably the scientific name of the Grizzly bear.
It’s Ursus arctos horribilis. “ursus” meaning bear in Latin and “arctos”, bear in Greek.
so essentially a grizzly is a “horrible bear bear.”

Steve Rogers x Natasha Romanoff (part 3)
Steve ran out of the lab with very flushed cheeks, his thoughts a complete mess. He had to let it all out, or else he would go insane. He knew he could talk to Wanda about it; after all, she did say that she was willing to listen to him and help as much as she can. But he wasn’t ready. Not yet. He had to figure everything out first. By himself. That’s why he headed to “his spot” - the place where he always found himself whenever he needed some time alone to clear his thoughts, make sense of everything. That place was the gym. In a few swift movements he put the hand wraps and started punching the bag mercilessly.
,,Damn it! How stupid can I get?! Asking TONY STARK for advice?! What the hell was I thinking?“ Steve growled in between the blows.
The punches were getting more and more intense with each passing second, yet Steve barely noticed. All he could think about was "nonsense” Tony was talking about. Suddenly an image flashed through his head. Clint’s arm over Natasha’s shoulder and a slight smirk on her lips. His mind went blank and he blew one last punch which sent the bag flying across the room.
He was breathing heavily, his head hanging low, sweat dripping from his forehead. All of his muscles were still tense, both of his fists clenched tightly, his knuckels white. After a few minutes, when he finally calmed down, he slowly unwraped his hands and dropped down on a bench. He put his head between his hands and closed his eyes, letting his mind drift off..
He remembered it all very clearly, as if it was yesterday. The day he first met the infamous Black Widow. He had to admit that he was extremely intiminated by her from the moment he saw her. He saw confidence, but also great elegance in the way she walked. Her piercing green eyes sent a clear message: she was not someone to mess with, and anyone in their right mind would know better than to do otherwise. And the way her fiery red curls flowed perfectly down past her shoulders just mesmerised him even more.
Then, Steve’s mind wandered off in an other direction.. this time, he remembered their missions, all the things they’ve been through, how they grew close during the whole “Winter Soldier situation”, when they stayed at Sam’s place for a while… He could still see it clearly; the moment she asked him if he would trust her to save his life, anticipation and anxiety evident in her exhausted eyes. She asked him to be honest. And honest he was. After all they’ve been through, how could have she possibly thought that he wouldn’t trust her with his life?
And then, there was the kiss. He knew very well that it was for the sole purpose of distraction, to let them get away unnoticed. But now that he thinks about it, god, how he wishes it meant more.
Flashback
Steve and Natasha were going down the escalator, which was moving way too slow for their liking. They needed to get out of there as soon as possible, since they were being hunted by Rumlow and his team and time was running out. It was just the matter of time when some agent would notice them and then all hell would break loose. Suddenly Natasha noticed Rumlow going up in their direction, looking around for them. She quickly turned around, facing Steve, a look of slight panic on her face.
,,Kiss me" she whispered, hurry and determination in her voice.
,,What?“ was all Steve could say, as her words caught him completely off guard.
,,Public displays of affection make people very uncomfortable” she talked as fast as she could, knowing that their time was almost out.
,,Yes, they do…“ Steve started, unsure of where Natasha was going with this. She realised that if she didn’t take matters into her own hands it would be too late, so she quickly cupped his cheeks and crashed her lips against his.
The moment their lips connected, Steve’s heart skipped a beat. He was completely startled by her actions, the warm feeling of her soft lips against his sending shivers down his spine. Despite the shock, he found himself instinctively putting his hand gently on her waist.
After a few seconds, Natasha slowly pulled away, leaving Steve standing there dumbfounded.
,,You still uncomfortable?” Natasha asked, walking away.
It took him a few moments to recover from his daze and realize that she was talking to him.
,,It’s not exactly the word I would use.“ he said, resisting the urge to touch his lips that were tingling ever so slightly.
End of flashback
Even at the bare memory of that event, Steve’s heart fluttered in his chest, a giddy feeling inside his stomach. He pulled his hand through his hair and let out a shaky sigh.
,,What are you doing to me Nat…” he breathed gently, his voice barely above whisper.

Steve Rogers x Natasha Romanoff (part 2)
Third person’s POV
,,Hey Capsicle" Tony greeted the super soldier without looking up from his work.
Steve let out an annoyed sigh at the nickname Tony gave him long time ago and wasn’t planning to let go of any time soon.
,,Hello to you too Tony"
,,So, what brings you here?“
,,Well, actually… I came here to ask for your help… advice, to be more precise”
This caught Tony’s attention. He turned around in his chair with a surprised look on his face.
,,Oh really? Help with what?“ his full attention was now on Steve, since he hardly ever asked the billionaire for anything, especially for any kind of advice.
,,I’ve felt this strange emotion earlier… when I saw Clint hug Natash-”
At that moment Tony spit his coffee and started choking.
,,What?! Wait, you’ve gotta be kidding me Cap. You can’t be serious" Tony said when he finally managed to catch his breath.
,,What? No, Tony. I’m not joking. Why do you say that? Is it something bad?“ Steve said concerned.
Tony bit his lip trying to contain himself from bursting into laughter. ,,No, no. Not necessarily. Could you describe that feeling to me? Just to make sure that my assumption was correct.”
,,It was something like anger, or hatred… sadness maybe… I just don’t understand…“ Steve furrowed his eyebrows in confusion and frustration. It was really starting to bother him that he couldn’t figure out what the heck was happening to him. ,,Why would I be angry at them? They didn’t do anything wrong.”
At this point, Tony couldn’t take it anymore so he started laughing his ass off.
,,I knew this was a bad idea..“ murmured Steve who was feeling very uncomfortable because of Tony’s sudden outburst.
Bruce was just watching them from behind some papers that were piled up on his desk, with an amused smile on his face.
,,Oh my god, Cap” Tony said as he whipped tears from his eyes. ,,Sorry, I just… wow… I did not see that coming"
,,What Tony? Come on! Just tell me what is it already!“ the anticipation was starting to drive him crazy.
,,It’s quite simple, really” Tony teased getting on Steve’s nerves with a smug grin on his face. ,,You were jealous"
,,What? Wait, no. Tony, that doesn’t make any sense. Why would I be jealous of them? They are both my great friends an-“ Steve started rambling before Tony cut him off.
,,Because you have a little crush on Red~” he said in a sing-song voice, a huge smirk plastered on his face.
,,Umm… I have a… what?“ Steve asked feeling even more confused than he already was.
Tony let out a frustrated sigh.
,,Oh my god! Old people these days… You are in love with Nat!”
,,N-no! Tony, that’s not true! I-“
,,Jesus… Cap, do I have to draw everything to you?!“ Tony groaned and took a piece of paper and started drawing stickmen. ,,See? You… Love…Natash-”
,,Stop it! It can’t be true.. S-she… I’m..” he stuttered feeling the heat rise to his cheeks. ,,God damn it Tony!“ he growled as he stormed out of the lab.
,,Language Rogers!” Tony shouted after him and let out a satisfied sigh.
,,Now that’s something you don’t get to see every day" Bruce chuckled before turning his attention back to his work.

Steve Rogers x Natasha Romanoff (part 1)
It was a nice winter day in New York. Everyone in the Avengers tower was relaxing and taking advantage of the free time they had, as it was very rare for such an event to occur. The Avengers were all peacefully laying around in the living room, watching a movie.
Well, almost everyone was peaceful.
,,Clint give me the god damn popcorn", Tony shouted for the 10th time in the last 2 minutes. ,,Dream on Tony", Clint smirked satisfied that he was driving the famous billionaire crazy.
,,Last time I checked, this was MY tower Legolas. MY tower MY bloody popcorn" Tony growled as he glared at his fellow Avenger.
,,Zip it” Natasha hissed and looked at both of them coldly, immeadiately making them shut up.
,,Oh come on Nat, you know you love me~“ Clint cooed and scooted closer to her putting an arm around her shoulder.
,,I will break your spine unless you shut up in the next 2 seconds” she snickered and smirked slightly, but didn’t make an effort to move away from him.
Unknown to the two assassins, a certain soldier was secretly looking at them, his eyes full of an emotion he was very unfamiliar with.
Jealousy.
Steve’s POV
We were watching a movie when Clint and Tony started arguing and being obnoxiously loud. I sighed and looked at Nat who was sitting in the couch with a small smirk on her face while Clint was putting his arm around her shoulder. Suddenly I felt this strange feeling in my chest. I clenched my fists and looked away before looking back at them when I heard Nat snicker.
What is this feeling? It feels like I hate them, like I’m angry at them… Clint particularly… But why? They are both my comrades, dear friends of mine… Why am I feeling like this?
,,Hey Steve?“
I jumped a little startled, when a concerned female voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I turned and looked at Wanda.
,,H-huh? Yes, Wanda?”
,,What’s wrong? You seem distracted.. and quite tense if I may add.“ she said smiling sympathetically while looking at my tightly clenched fists.
,,It’s just… nothing. Nothing important. Really, I’m fine.” I forced a smile and pretended to watch the movie in order to avoid further questioning from the young telekinetic brunette, but at that moment the closing credits started rolling.
,,Great…“ I murmured under my breath.I noticed that everyone slowly started heading their own way, so I got up as well and started walking away. But I stopped when I felt Wanda grab my hand. I turned around to face her and raised my eyebrow in confusion.
,,Steve, I know that something’s bothering you. I can sense it.” she said, her voice full of empathy.
I looked away and frowned a bit. I was never a person to lie. I heard her sigh and returned my gaze to her eyes.
,,Look. I’m not going to push you to tell me. But if you need someone to talk to, just know that I’m there for you. That’s the least I can do.“ she smiled kindly.
,,Thank you, Wanda. I’ll keep that in mind” I smiled squeezing her shoulder lightly and then headed to the lab to find Tony.
As much as I hated asking him for advice, I felt like this time he could help me figure out what this strange feeling was.
