MJ is best girl and Romita MJ is best MJ. Stock assets for the background this time. CSP coming in the clutch. Fun Fact: The blue is meant to be reminiscent of the sleeve for Judith O'Brien's second Mary Jane novel. Yes, I have read those. Multiple times.

After the huge effort that was my Scarlet Spider piece, I wanted something simple to close out yesterday’s stream, and I couldn't resist vector tracing it on the spot.

It's way too big for the scanner, but I was jazzed to finish this Scarlet Spider piece on yesterday's stream. I've wanted to do something big with him for a while, because I'm actually named after him. A friend started calling me Ben in college, joking that I was the secret genetic clone of Tobey Maguire. (Admittedly, I do kinda dance like him.)

Closed out my Twitch stream today vector tracing this bad boy, which I guess is pretty appropriate, considering No Way Home is opening tomorrow. My mom called this “simple, compared to your usual attention to detail.” Clearly she’s never tried to draw the cobweb pattern on Spider-Man’s suit.

I used three of these Terminator 2 themed emoji heads as the design for some hand drawn wrapping paper, but I couldn't go on without completing the set.

This little love bear was based on one of (many) Rilakkuma plushes.  Didn't expect him to be such a pain to make symmetrical, but it was worth it. He's a good boy.

Drew this guy for my BRB screen on Twitch. Didn't expect to love him as much as I do. I'd let him infiltrate the human race any day.

"I crack myself up."
The cracks in this piece were straight up traced from the cracks in my screen protector. With every cloud, right? The mask itself is heavily inspired by the one worn by Jerry Hall as Alicia Hunt in Tim Burton's Batman.

The grieving angel from the Ribaudo family tomb in italy, as seen on the 12" release of Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart." One of my favorite tunes as of late.

I have no interest in that Ravens book Tumblr keeps pressuring me to pre-order, but I do like the design of the enamel pin it comes with. I'm a woman with a thing for black birds.
(Still rocking the Samsung Galaxy Tab. I'm starting to get the hang of it. Hoping to get a new graphics tablet by the end of the month, though.)

A little experiment with negative space. This was originally done in MSPaint. What you see here is a tracing done in ArtFlow on my Samsung Tab. It's currently subbing for my dear, departed Wacom.

My Wacom is no more. Gone, but not forgotten. In its memory, here is a piece from earlier this year that I kind of like a lot.

And now for something completely different!
(By which I mean "more of the same Peachkid, but it's traditional art this time.")
I honestly can't remember the last time I did a piece traditionally from start to finish. Usually I'll go digital for inks and colors. But, as that phone chilling in the bottom hopefully makes clear, this was a little too big to scan. Y'know, just a little. I've never done a project of this literal scale before. I hope to actually hang it somewhere eventually, buuut I'd kind of like to frame it first. Can't risk that water damage :|

Wanted to experiment with a style waaaay out of my comfort zone. This is what you get when you make a Sim of an OC and then do a semi-realistic mock watercolor based on that Sim. Aesthetic Telephone, if you will. Up top we've got Genesis Kaiba, who somehow came out looking like the Les Miz poster? I don't even know. And under her is Yumiko Muto. Credit where it's due, this experiment has helped me figure out how her hair works better than a near decade of drawing it. I am grateful, but slightly ashamed.

Gonna watch The Little Mermaid Live tonight. It was my favorite Disney movie as a kid. Glad no one is gonna be around to hear my poor Sebastian imitation as I sing along.

These pieces were a commission from @msbeastlyeevee of their next-gen OC Tabia Mutou, daughter of Yugi and Ishizu and older sister to Nora. I had a real blast working with both sisters, so I took it upon myself to make a quick card mat and sleeve set with some CSP materials.
