Masterlist
It was late. You were close to drifting off but the buzz of your phone ringing had awoken you from your hazy state.
“I shouldn’t be telling you this. But it’s about Wanda.”
You felt your heart drop as you learned the events of the past week.
You allowed the tears you were harboring from the second you heard her name to finally fall as you disconnected the phone.
A sob escaped you as you thought about the girl you considered a best friend and how she was hurting.
“And then she just left. You know her better than anybody, do you have any idea where she might’ve went?”
It was true, you did know her better than anyone. You knew the immense love she felt for Vision, the way Pietro’s death would haunt her until the end of time. And you for damn sure knew that she would never willingly hurt anybody, let alone the innocent residents of Westview, New Jersey.
But you had no fucking clue where she could have went.
Maybe there was something you could have done. Maybe if you weren’t such a coward, you wouldn’t have left.
After the battle in Germany, you felt as if something in you had died. The only family you had ever known had been destroyed.
Even though Nat had let you, Bucky and Steve go, there was still so much at stake. Your friendship with Clint and Rhodey. Most importantly with Tony, who you had considered a father figure. Everything had changed and it was hard for you to grasp the fact that things would never go back to what they once were.
You stayed in Wakanda with Bucky, crying into Steves chest as they put him into ice. You two had been through so much together and you knew better than anybody that he deserved a chance to be free from his own mind. They were attempting to cure his trigger-word brainwashing and as empty as the idea of life with Bucky in cryogenic stasis sounded, you knew it needed to be done.
And sure enough, Shuri’s work was successful. You were there when he woke up. You spent countless nights awake with him, talking him through the nightmares and the suffering he was enduring now that his mind was free.
The two of you had always been close, but in Wakanda something changed.
You felt at peace there. It was like everything that had happened outside of Wakanda didn’t matter, didn’t exist. It was just you and Bucky.
For once, life had felt normal.
But you didn’t have time to address the shift in you and Bucky’s relationship before Thanos happened. And suddenly, there you were again. Fighting for your lives and the rest of the world.
And for a second there, you had hope. Hope that you would win. Hope that maybe after this was all over, everything would go back to how it was.
And as soon as you had gotten comfortable with the idea, you had been defeated.
Vision was dead. You felt sick to your stomach, knowing only the worst was about to happen.
Pietro was gone and now so was Vision.
You held Wanda’s crying body in your arms, stroking her hair as your own tears began to fall at the sight before you.
You watched as Thanos snapped his fingers, time standing still for a second.
“Steve?”
You looked up at the sound of his voice, but almost wish you hadn't, as you watched his body disintegrate before your eyes.
Your mouth fell in horror.
“W-what’s happening- Wanda!” You cried as she faded away in your arms, slipping from your fingertips.
You were almost thankful you were next, as watching the two most important people in your life disappear was too much to bare.
That was all you remembered.
For once, the heroes had lost. And when you came back from the blip, everything had changed instantly.
Nat was dead. Nobody had to tell you. You could feel her absence on the battlefield without having to look. It sent shivers down your spine.
Tony had died, sacrificing himself. Steve had left, passing on the shield to Sam.
How were you just supposed to move on with life, act like everything was normal, when the three of them were gone.
You had to leave. You were making up for five years worth of emotions, and it was overwhelming. You had never felt like this before.
You knew it was wrong, Wanda and Bucky needed you. Vision was dead and Steve was gone. The two most important people in your life were hurting, but how could you help them them when you didn't even know how to help yourself? So you did what you do best, leave when things get hard.
You were in love with Bucky. You had known that for a while. But the pain was unbearable. The grief you felt every time you opened your eyes was unlike anything you had ever experienced before. You needed to be alone.
So you left. You slipped away during Tony’s funeral, excusing yourself to the “bathroom”. It was the oldest trick in the book, but as soon as you Peppers broken face, and her and Tony’s beautiful five year old daughter who would have to grow up without a father, you knew you had to leave.
And then you were gone. Gone without saying anything to Bucky or Wanda.
But ignoring your problems and feelings could only get you so far. So here you were. Crying in bed at 1AM over something that you possibly could have prevented if you weren’t such a coward.
Your emotions had finally caught up with you. As you cried a months worth of tears that you had bottled up, you knew who you needed to call.
You shakily grabbed your phone in your hands, unlocking it with blurred vision. You dialed the one number that you could recite in your sleep.
It rang twice.
“Hey, stranger.”
Your heart stopped at his voice.
“Hey-“
“It’s been a month.” he said, his voice dripping with betrayal. He was angry. He had every right to be.
“Bucky
” you started.
“Surprised you even remember my name.” He laughed dryly. You expected this, honestly. After everything you too had been through, he deserved an explanation, a goodbye even.
You let out a shaky breath, as tears spilled down your cheeks. You didn’t even know what to say.
“I
”
“You know, I should really hang up-“
“Bucky, I-I need you.” You choked out. He could hear you were crying now. And suddenly all the anger he was feeling suddenly faded as he heard your soft sobs on the other end of the line.
There was a pause.
“I’ll text you the address.”
-
It took you about forty-five minutes to arrive at his apartment. The thought of him being back in Brooklyn would have made you smile under different circumstances.
Finally you arrived at his door. You knocked softly. A part of you wished he had fallen asleep during those forty five minutes, but you knew he hadn’t. There was a pit in your stomach, maybe this was a bad idea?
It had only been a month, but a month without Bucky felt like a lifetime.
You heard the lock click and your stomach churned.
You looked like a mess. You probably still had bedhead from the countless hours you spent in bed, feeling empty. Your face was puffy and there were tears already threatening to spill and you hadn’t even seen him yet.
You gripped your bag that rested underneath your arm, desperately needing to hold on to something.
And then the door opened. He was clad in grey sweatpants and a black t-shirt. The lamp in his living room was on, the only light coming from inside his apartment.
You met his eyes. They were sad, disappointed even. But they were also concerned.
“Bucky
” You whispered as your hand met your cheek, trying to discard of the tears escaping.
Before you could get the words out, he’s wrapping you in his arms. The warmth radiating from his chest and the smell of his cologne only makes you cry harder as you think about how long you’ve gone without this and how its your fault.
You grip the back of his shirt as you hold him tight, sobs racking your body.
He lets you cry as he presses a kiss onto the top of your head, your face buried in his chest.
He brings his hands down to your face and caresses both your cheeks, pulling back to look at you.
“Let’s go inside, Doll.”
You nod slowly as you both walk in, Bucky shutting the door behind you. He leads you to the couch, sitting down next to you. He turns to the coffee table and picks up the mug that sits in front of you, passing it over.
A laugh escapes your lips as you look down at the mug in your hands.
“World’s best grandpa
” you read. “I remember when I got you this.” Your eyes were still wet with tears but you couldn’t help but let out a small smile.
“That was one of our first Christmas’ spent together.” He chuckled, as he watched you take a sip of the probably now cold tea.
“That was a good day.” You said quietly. There was a silence as you both recalled the memory. Your smile faded as you were brought back to reality. You would never have a Christmas like that again. The whole team together, alive, smiling and being carefree.
You glanced around his apartment. The decorations were bare and there was a gray and black theme going on. You thought back to the days in Wakanda when you would talk about how you were planning on redecorating your living room once you settled down and decided to live a normal life.
You remembered when you promised that once you were both back you would help him decorate his also, knowing that he didn’t have an eye for those types of things. But of course, things didn’t really go as planned and you broke that promise.
You noticed a small pillow on the floor, accompanied by two blankets and your heart broke a little. He must of not been sleeping well. How could he be? Who was here to even help him through his nightmares? You certainly weren't.
“What happened, Y/N?” Bucky asked, breaking the silence.
Your bottom lip quivered as you dropped your head.
“It’s Wanda. Nobody knows where she is.”
“What do you mean?”
“She was in New Jersey
” You started, playing with the loose strings on the bottom of your sweater. “Apparently she created some sort of alternate reality and
 s-she was
she was hurting them and she-“ you were tripping over your words now.
“I don’t-“ Bucky started, clearly confused.
“I don’t understand either, I wasn’t told the details b-but they think she’s a terrorist
 a villain
” you cried, shaking your head. You couldn’t even believe the words that were coming out of your mouth. “She’s just hurting and she's... confused, she would never do something like this.”
Bucky put his hand on your knee, giving it a small squeeze, urging you to continue.
“I-I should’ve been there
” you whispered, shaking your head. “Maybe I could’ve done something
 helped her through it
But I was selfish and I was scared
and I ran. I’m a terrible friend.” You put your head in your hands, feeling ashamed.
If this had been anybody else you would have probably felt embarrassed or scared that they would think you were looking for pity. But this was Bucky.
“You’re not a terrible friend, Y/N. This has been hard on all of us
we just deal with it in different ways,” he said, the last part coming out sadder than he wanted it to.
You looked back up at him. You opened your mouth to say something, but nothing came out.
“I know you were scared and I know you’re so used to running
 but
I know we could have figured it out together.”
Your heart broke at his words.
“Bucky, I
 I am so sorry-“
“I-I know and its okay. I was just disappointed
” he began, looking down at his hands. “I just thought we meant more to each other than that.”
There was silence before he continued.
“That I meant more to you than that
”
You placed your hand on his cheek, gently caressing his face and forcing him to look up at you.
“God, Bucky
you do mean more to me than that-“
“Steve left but I at least thought I had you,” he whispered.
Your throat tightened as you pulled him into a hug, pressing your body against his. You ran your fingers through his hair as a tear trickled down your cheek, whispering, “You do
 Bucky, you do
”
You pulled back, your hands resting on his forearms. He lifted one to wipe the tear from your cheek.
“I promise, I’m never leaving again.”
He smiled softly and you pressed your lips to his. You gripped on to the bottom of his shirt as he gently slipped his tongue into your mouth. You kiss him with passion, saying ‘i’m sorry’ in all the ways your words couldn’t.
He pulled away, pupils dilated, as he stared into your eyes. His thumb brushes across your lower lip and you feel a shiver shoot down your spine.
“I know how much she means to you, Doll. We’ll find her.”
You nod softly as Bucky pulls you into his lap, and you melt into him, just wanting to feel his warmth, just wanting to be closer to him. His touch puts you at ease and you feel foolish for trying to run from it for so long. This was home.
“We’ll find her together. I love you.”
“I love you too, Buck.”

After the long and tiresome last couple of months you, Sam and Bucky had endured, being invited back to Louisiana for the Wilson’s cookout was the best and only way you could’ve imagined celebrating your victory.
The food was delicious, the laughter and happiness that filled the atmosphere was infectious and to have a moment of joy without the lingering fear of disaster was all you could have asked for.
You sat on one of the picnic tables by the water, the slight wind ruffling your hair, but you didn’t mind. Turning your head slightly to the right, your gaze fell upon Sam and the smile that took up most as his face as he posed for the camera with an older man who looked ecstatic to be in presence.
You were happy for Sam, truly. He deserved that shield. You watched as the others continued to smother the new Captain America with affection, taking pictures with funny faces and poses. You made a mental note to go over later and get a few pictures with him of your own.
You giggled to yourself as one of the women went on to kiss his cheek and as you turned your head, your eyes met a certain super soldier who was busy letting some of the kids hang off his metal arm. You couldn’t help the smile that spread across your face.
The kids adored him. They were fascinated by the stories he told and his metal arm and you were happy to see him so carefree with them. You smiled at the idea of him being a dad. You knew he would be a good one.
You and Bucky had a strange relationship. You had been there with Steve, Natasha and Sam when it was first discovered he was the Winter Soldier. Steve had told you countless stories about his best friend growing up in Brooklyn, who he had presumed to be dead.
However, you and the Super Soldier didn’t quite get along at first, after you had finally been formally introduced. Bucky was threatened by your relationship with Steve and would take it out on you any chance he got.
Steve would refer to you both as an, “old married couple,” as most of your interactions were quickly turned into arguments and bickering over the smallest things. You both just couldn’t seem to get along.
However, Steve leaving had turned both of your worlds upside down, more than you could have ever imagined.
Living life without Steve had been difficult to adjust to. You had both looked up to him and depended on him in so many different ways and for a while, without him, you felt lost.
As difficult as it was, you put your differences aside and discovered the comfort you found in Steve in each other. Steve could never be replaced obviously, but having somebody that mutually understood the pain was a start.
Bucky was a good friend. You liked to joke around with each other and of course the bickering would probably never die but at the end of the day you had helped each other cope with the loss of somebody you both cared about deeply.
And as the months went on, you and Bucky grew to confide in each other about things other than Steve.
You had been the one Bucky called during his 3AM sleepless nights, talking him through the nightmares. He would tell you the things he couldn’t tell Dr. Raynor, and the guilt he felt from his past, no matter how much he tried to fix it.
Bucky gave you a shoulder to cry on when you found out about Wanda and her current missing status. You felt gutted when you heard the news, another person you had loved so deeply out of your life. Wanda was young, she was confused and she was hurting. You so badly wanted to find her but you felt helpless. She was off the radar for good. Bucky listened to you cry for hours, offered to even help in your search for her.
But then, the Flag Smashers happened. John Walker happened. You were reunited with Sam again. You had missed him greatly but you wished the rekindling could have been under different circumstances.
The time you and Bucky spent together over the past couple of months had made you only grow closer as old feelings and emotions returned. Watching Walker pretend to be even half the man Steve was wasn't easy. But you got through it together. You kept each other grounded and reminded each other to stay calm when all you wanted to do was punch the sly smile right off of Walker’s face.
But still, Bucky was a good friend. Just a good friend.
The kids dangling off of his arm giggled and one of them even attempted to do some pull ups, ultimately failing. As you followed Bucky’s eyes, you realized his gaze was set upon Sam’s sister, Sarah, and for some reason, your face fell flat.
Sarah was beautiful and truly the kindest person you had ever met. Her smile was infectious and you had adored her from the second you met her. From the little time you had known each other, her presence comforted you in the same way Sam’s did. She made you feel just like family and you couldn’t thank her enough for her generosity and hospitality.
You didn’t know what it was, but lately, Bucky had been on your last fucking nerve.
It had started around his date with Leah, the woman that the sweet elder man, Yori, had set him up with.
—
You were miserable. It had been weeks and with no sign of Wanda, you were feeling more hopeless by the day.
It had become ritual for you to go over to Bucky’s whenever you felt like this. You would sit on his couch and either cry, rant or drown your miseries by helping yourself to his snack collection and watching shitty reality TV on his couch.
It was an unspoken sort of thing, coming unannounced and all, and it didn’t really matter because you would usually end up being there to comfort him from his nightmares which was way easier in person than on the phone. It was basically a win-win.
You felt nice tonight, and decided to give him a heads up that you were coming. However, when you called, the line went straight to voicemail.
“Hey, this is Bucky. Leave a message
 or don’t, I really don’t care.”
You rolled your eyes and headed over to his place anyway. It wasn’t the first time you had let yourself in while he was running errands or seeing Dr. Raynor. You knew he enjoyed your company whether he liked to admit it or not.
You unlocked his door using the key he had given you for “emergency purposes only,” and locked it behind you, kicking off your shoes. “Hello?” you called out, only to be met with silence. Wherever he was, you figured he would be back soon.
You noticed a couple of different flower bouquets spread across his kitchen table. Who the hell was sending Bucky flowers? You nosily looked for a note, but there was nothing. Brushing it off you walked over to his couch, got comfortable and put on the TV.
About forty-five minutes later, you heard the lock rattle and soon enough your one hundred and six year old friend was walking through the door.
“Figured it was you, I could hear the Love Island theme song all the way down the hall.” He smirked, taking his jacket off as he waltzed over to the kitchen, filling a glass of water. “Remind me how you win that show again.”
“Buck, how many times do I have to tell you that’s not how it works- you know what? Never mind.”
“Okay, grumpy. I’m guessing no news on Wanda?”
You turned the volume down and propped yourself off the couch, following his direction to the kitchen.
“Yeah, still no lead. It just... sucks. I feel useless,” you pulled back a chair and took a seat, giving him a defeated smile.
“I’m sorry, Doll. Do you wanna talk about it?”
“No, no it’s fine. Theres nothing to really even talk about honestly, thats basically the problem.” You sighed.
“Theres gonna be something soon, okay? I promise.” He put his free hand over yours which was laying on the counter. “If anybody is gonna get through to her, it’s gonna be you.” He knew how deeply you cared about her and how badly her being gone was affecting you.
You smiled, feeling the tears welling up as you gave his hand a small squeeze. You couldn't help but be emotional, Wanda was a soft spot.
You removed your hand from his and quickly fanned your eyes. “Enough about that...” you began, “What I do wanna talk about is who is giving you all these flowers!” You laughed, gesturing to the scattered rose and sunflowers bouquets on the table.
Bucky let out a nervous laugh before scratching the back of his neck. “Actually, more like who I was giving flowers to,” he turned around putting the now empty glass in the sink. “I had a date and couldn’t really decide which flowers to get her.”
You were glad his back was facing you, because you were quickly taken aback.
“A-a date?”
He turned to you. “Yes, a date. Why? Is that so hard to believe?” He rolled his eyes.
“With who?!”
“Leah. She works at that restaurant down the street. She’s a nice girl, Yori actually set it up.” He crossed his arms nonchalantly. “We played Battleship.”
The thought of Bucky nervously deciding over which bouquet of flowers to give this Leah girl made your heart sink for some reason. You couldn’t recall a time a man had ever bought you flowers, let alone stressing over which you would like best.
The silence was filling the room quickly and you felt the atmosphere becoming uncomfortable as he stared at you, with his eyebrow raised, waiting for a response. You didn’t even know why you were speechless to begin with.
“Well
w-why didn’t you tell me?!” You spit out, flaring your hands out for dramatic effect.
He shrugged. “I don’t know. Wasn’t a big deal.”
“Not a big deal?! I mean
what did you guys talk about? Do you plan on seeing her again?” You asked, nervously running a hand through your hair. “Who even won the game of battleship
?”
He shrugged again. “Like I said, not a big deal.” He walked around the counter and walked towards the couch. “What does it even matter?”
“I mean it clearly must matter if you were nervous about what kind of flowers to give her! You must really like her if you wanted to make a good impression on her.” You exclaimed, turning around to face him.
“It was fun, okay? I had a good time, she’s a nice girl! Why do you even care anyway?”
You didn’t care, you were just confused. You didn’t understand why he wouldn’t tell you about it or at least call you for help on which flowers you thought were best. Not only were you probably his closest friend, but you were a girl and you thought he valued your opinion. Yeah, I mean, maybe you hadn’t been on a date yourself in
god knows how long, but you liked to think you knew a thing or two about what a girl likes.
Bucky just didn’t see you like that, you guessed. You were just a good friend. A good friend who he doesn’t think about going on dates with. A good friend who he isn’t attracted to and doesn’t associate with flowers. You tried to ignore the disappointment that flooded your body at that thought.
Whatever. The bottom line is you thought you two were closer than that. You thought he was comfortable enough to confide in you about these types of things. After all, if he could tell you about his haunting past and nightmares, what was a little dating advice?
“I-I don’t, you’re right
”
He looked up at you, there was silence once again. He opened his mouth as if to say something, but before he could you changed the subject.
“Wanna order food or something? I’m starving.”
—
Yeah. There was that.
But then there was the shameless flirting with Sarah to go along with that. It came out of nowhere.
You understood why he would want to flirt with her, she was gorgeous, so incredibly kind and an amazing mother. You didn’t blame him, what was there not to like about her?
But despite all those things, your heart still sunk.
No matter how close the two of you had gotten or the secrets you had shared or the nights you had spent crying and being so honest and open... it just didn't matter. You couldn't help but wonder if he would tell Steve about his rendezvous with Leah. Or the crush he was harboring on Sam’s sister.
At the rate you two were going, you had practically told Bucky more than you had ever told Steve. You were foolish to think he would ever trust you nearly as much as you trusted him.
“Take a picture, it’ll last longer.”
You jumped, as Sam came from behind you, interrupting your thoughts. He laughed at your reaction as he took a seat next to you.
“Shut up! I’m just watching the kids. They’re cute.” You rolled your eyes, playfully smacking his arm.
“Yeah
you’re defiantly not watching the one hundred and six year old tin man that they happen to be using as their personal monkey bar
” It was his turn to roll his eyes.
“Oh, give it a rest, will you? Plus, even if I was he wouldn’t notice. He’s too busy giving bedroom eyes to your sister.” You laughed as he grimaced, purposely bringing it up knowing it would make him uncomfortable.
“One, don’t ever say that again. Two, someone sounds jealous
” He sang, pointing his finger at you.
“I am not!”
“You so are!”
“I’m not jealous, Sam. We’re just friends.” You defended, pushing his finger down. “I just thought that maybe if he was into Sarah, he would tell me
I don’t know? I guess I just thought we were closer than that
” You turned back to watch the pair a couple of tables down as they laughed about something. “After everything we’ve been through, I guess I just thought things were different.”
“You know I love you, so you know I mean this respectfully,” he began, resting his hand on your shoulder, “but for one of the world’s highest trained spies, you are oblivious.”
“What are you talking about?”
“You are so obviously in love with Bucky.” He smirked. “And what makes you even more oblivious is that you don’t even realize that he feels the exact same way.”
“Sam
” You cautioned. This wasn't the first time he had tried to say something like this. You usually just shut him down right away and he stops knowing you don't want to hear it. Because theres no way Bucky would ever think of you as more than a friend, if he even thinks of you as that.
“Y/N, when are you gonna figure out that you’re not upset that Bucky doesn’t confide in you, instead you’re just jealous that you aren’t the girls he’s flirting with or taking out on dates!” He elaborated, as he followed your gaze to where Bucky and his sister were sitting.
You looked over at Sam, realization flooding your features.
“And maybe you would be the girl he does those things with if you would just stop being so clueless and finally come to terms with the fact that you’re in love with him and you have been for a while now.” Sam smirked.
And just like that, you realized he was right. You so badly wanted to be the girl that had Bucky pacing around his living room, stressed out about which flowers were your favorite.
“But if he loved me too he wouldn’t be sitting here flirting with somebody else-“ You started before Sam cut you off.
“Please, it’s harmless flirting! It doesn’t mean anything! Sarah already told me that every conversation they have he always finds a way to bring your name up somehow anyway.” He laughed, before swinging his legs over the side of the seat, standing up. “The man’s whipped! And he has been for a while but he just thinks you don't feel the same way. Now please go confess your love to him before he continues flirting with my sister and I have to kill his cyborg ass.”
You couldn’t help the smile that spread across your face and as you looked back over at your good friend who you just happened to be madly in love with for months, he was already looking at you.
—
Desert was being brought out and you watched as the people dancing to the music stopped and eagerly formed a line behind the cake.
“Hey, you.”
You turned around to be met with the same captivating blue eyes you hadn’t even realized became your home over the past couple of months.
“Hey, Buck.” You breathed.
“Where have you been? I feel like I haven’t seen you all day
” he put his hand behind your back and ushered you to stand by the edge of the dock, away from the music and people. “I missed you.” He uttered.
You smiled sheepishly. This wasn’t the first time he had said he missed you by any means, but after your revelation earlier, this time it gave you butterflies.
“I was just with some of the kids for a while and then I was with Sam
” you started, turning to look at the water before you, a sense of nervousness creeping up on you. “He was, uh, helping me realize something.”
“Yeah?” He questioned. “Like what?”
“Like how I’m in love with you.” You whispered. You didn’t want to look up at him and see his reaction but the silence was deafening.
Slowly meeting his eyes you continued. “I-I’m in love with you.” His mouth was slightly agape and his eyes were wide. “Bucky, I’m in love with you and this whole time I figured that I was just upset because I thought you didn’t value our friendship as much as I did and you didn’t trust me
b-but I was wrong. I’m in love with you and for some reason it takes you going on dates and flirting with Sarah to realize It was just jealousy all along-“
“Y/N-“
“You’re the first person I want to talk to when I’m upset but you’re also the first person I want to tell all my good news to- even if there’s not a lot of that lately. But you’re also the person I want to watch crappy reality TV with, even though I have to explain it to you every five seconds because you don’t understand it.”
His shocked expression soon became replaced with a soft smile and he lifted his hand to caress your face.
You instantly melted at his touch and whispered, “This past year has sucked
 so bad
but I want to spend all my bad days with you
because just being with you makes the bad days not so bad
”
You couldn’t help the tears that streamed down your face as you expressed your love for him. The way you felt had been bottled up for so long, because not only were you trying to hide it from him, you were trying to hide it from yourself.
He wiped your tears with his thumb as he leaned in, pressing a soft, but tender kiss to your lips.
“I-I love you. I’m in love with you and I have been for a while now, Doll.” The adoration that he looked down at you with made your face heat up, and if you weren’t so happy you would be angry at yourself for not seeing it for so long.
He brought his other hand up to caress your face, his metal one, the cool texture sending a chill down your spine. Speaking of which, was not clad in a jacket which only made you smile harder. The fact he was able to finally be comfortable enough to not hide his vibranium brought you joy.
“I just feel so stupid that I didn’t realize it sooner
”
He pulled you in for another kiss.
“Yeah you’re pretty oblivious for being one of the worlds highest trained spies-“ He laughed.
“Hey-“ You yelped, slapping his chest.
“Thats what I said!”
You jumped before both of your heads turned to see none other than Sam WIlson standing not too far behind the two of you. God only knows how long he had been there.
“Sam!” You both whined, rolling your eyes.
“I’m very happy for you two, but please enough with the PDA! Theres kids here!” He groaned.
You and Bucky just laughed melting into each others touch more, as he wrapped his arms around your waist and peppered your face with kisses.
This was how you wanted to remember your days as, pure bliss.

The One With Will and JJ’s Wedding - Part 3
Tumblr media
Summary: Based off of 8.02 and 8.03 of Friends. You finally decide to tell Spencer the news.
Pairing: Spencer Reid x Fem!Reader
Word Count: 1.6k
A/N: This is the final part, yay! Thanks for all the love and kind feedback! :) Request some more friends eps and maybe I’ll do those next. I have some ideas! Enjoy!
Masterlist - Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3
The following day, you waltzed into the apartment to say goodbye to JJ and Will as they were soon leaving for their honeymoon.
Emily, Penelope and Derek were already sprawled out on the couches. JJ was scrubbing the surface of the kitchen counter while you could see Will’s outline in the bedroom packing clothes into a suitcase.
“Yay! You’re still here!” You smiled. “I just wanted to tell you to have a good honeymoon.”
You wrapped the blonde in a hug, giving her a tight squeeze as she thanked you.
“Also, I just wanted to let you guys know that I am telling the father today.”
You looked around at their faces as nobody said anything. Derek was looking up, trying not to meet your eyes. JJ scratched her head awkwardly. Penelope and Emily were attempting to cover their huge smiles.
“What?”
There was a moment of silence before Derek finally jumped up from the couch, not being able to hold his excitement in any longer. “We know it’s Reid!”
Your jaw dropped as he reached your side, the rest of the girls following. “What? How do you guys know?!” You asked.
“It was his sweater!” Penelope gushed.
“Wow, I so wanted Spencer to know first but I am so relieved that you guys know!” You beamed, resting a hand on Derek’s shoulder.
“So, have you figured out how you’re gonna tell him yet?”
“Well, I was gonna tell him that I’m gonna have the baby and he can be as involved as he wants.” You shrugged.
“That sounds good.” Emily nodded.
“Yeah, but, you know, how do I start?” you questioned. “I mean, what’s the first thing that I say?”
Another moment of silence had passed, none of them knowing how you should change Spencer’s life forever.
“Okay! Great, guys! Thanks!” You laughed as you started to walk towards the door.
“Good luck!” JJ cheered shooting you an encouraging smile.
And with that, you left.
-
JJ and Will had finally gone to the airport, bidding their farewells to the group. Penelope and Derek had migrated across the hall to watch a movie.
“You know,” Derek began. “JJ and Will are married. Y/N and Spencer are gonna have a baby. Maybe you and I should do something.”
Penelope laughed, grabbing his face. “All in good time, my love. All in good time.”
A couple of minutes later, Spencer walked through the door. “Hey, you guys.”
The two looked at each other with excitement.
“Hey, did Y/N find you?” Penelope asked, trying to keep her smile at bay.
“No, why?”
“Oh, she was looking for you.” Penelope shrugged.
Spencer nodded. “Oh, well, I guess I’ll just catch up with her later.” He walked over towards the couch where they were sitting. “What are you guys watching-“
“She really wanted to talk to you now.” Derek interjected.
Penelope turned to look at Spencer. “Yeah, it seemed pretty important!” She added.
Spencer looked at the two of them for a second and before he could get a word out, the two of them stood and walked over to him, forcing him to stand up.
“I think you should go like
 right now!” Penelope gulped.
“Yeah, right now sounds good!” Derek urged lightly pushing him towards the door.
Spencer rolled his eyes, clearly getting the hint. “Okay! Okay, I’ll go find her! It was nice seeing you guys too!” He closed the door behind him, the pair letting out a huge sigh of relief, but still on edge knowing he had no idea what was to come.
-
Spencer hurried over to his apartment, figuring he would find you there. As he rounded the corner, just as he expected, you were sat outside his door, flipping through a magazine. He couldn’t help but stare at you for a moment, not wanting to disturb your calm state. You were lightly humming a song, your bottom lip between your teeth and your hair so perfectly framing your face.
He cleared his throat, “Hey.” Grabbing your attention, you looked up, a smile spreading over your lips. “Hi!”
He held his hand out, helping you stand. “I think there’s something we really need to talk about.” You said softly.
“So I’ve heard
 why don’t we go inside?”
You nodded and followed him as he opened the door. It was pretty obvious to almost everyone that no matter what happened, the spark between you two would always linger. Spencer had still believed that at the end of the day you would both end up together. He secretly hoped that maybe what you had to tell him was that you wanted to start things back up again.
With that being said, what had happened a month ago had crushed him. While he of course missed you and the sex was great, it was clear it wouldn’t be anything more. He knew that he couldn’t put himself through it again with you; meaningless sex and then going on with life as if it meant nothing.
“Okay
Spence, you might wanna sit down
” You said, grabbing his hand and leading him to couch. He sat down and looked up at your pacing figure.
“Y/N, what is it?”
Now he was completely lost, you wouldn’t be freaking out so much about asking to get back together, and if you were you certainly wouldn’t in front of him.
“Spence
”
You paused and took a seat next to him on the couch.
“I’m pregnant.”
He said nothing, but he didn’t have to. His face said it all as his eyes widened.
Spencer was in absolute shock to say the least. How could you be pregnant?! His mind was racing and he no words were coming out.
“And you’re the father, by the way
But I think you already know-“ You cringed, cutting yourself off before you said anything else that wouldn’t be helpful. He just stared back at you, trying to comprehend what was going on. His silence was making this so much worse.
“Spence, listen. There is no pressure on you at all-“
“No, I-I uh
 I just don’t understand
 how this happened
” He dryly laughed in disbelief. “I mean we used a condom.”
“I know, I know. But condoms only work like 97% of the time-“
“Wh-What?!” He jumped up, running a hand through his hair. “Well, they should put that on the box!”
“They do!” You insisted.
“No, they don’t!” He shouted as he ran into his bedroom, emerging with the black box in his hand. “Well, they should put it in huge block letters!”
“Spencer!” You whined, standing up to meet him. “Let’s just forget about the condoms-“
“Oh, well, I may as well have!”
“You know what, I’ll just come back later-“
“N-No, Y/N! Wait!” He walked over, before you could run out the door. “I’m sorry
 this is just so-“
“I know
I know.” You nodded quickly, understanding. You couldn’t blame him for his reaction. You felt tears well up in your eyes, suddenly feeling overwhelmed. “I get it, I’m freaked out too-“ You choked out, putting your head down in an effort to hide the pathetic tears racing down your cheeks.
“Hey,” he whispered, grabbing your chin and lifting your head to meet his eyes. You were now suddenly aware of how close the two of you were. “I’m gonna be here every step of the way-“
“Spence, you don’t-“ you sniffled.
“No, I am. I want this
” He trailed off. “I-I want this and I want it with you.” He whispered.
Your shoulders were shaking and your vision was blurry but you couldn’t help the smile that spread across your face. She felt her heart skip a beat as he slowly leaned in, your lips meeting. The kiss spoke a thousand words, all the feelings you had both kept bottled up for the past month.
You pulled away, needing to breathe and were met with Spencer’s soft eyes and dumbstruck smile, which you were almost positive you were mirroring.
Your smile faltered for a second, “I’m scared, Spence.”
His hands were still tangled in your hair, and with his right hand he stroked the back of your head in a reassuring manner.
“So am I. But knowing that I’m doing it with you makes it all a little less scary.”
-
“So you guys are really gonna do this?” Garcia asked the pair in front of her in awe.
“Yeah
yeah we are.” Spencer smiled, putting his arm around you and rubbing your shoulder reassuringly. You leaned into his touch and smiled up at him. “We’re gonna have a baby.” You said softly.
“Oh, you guys! I’m so happy for you!” Emily gushed.
“This is so exciting, I call dibs on godfather!” Derek insisted.
You smiled at the both of them. Having your best friends approval and excitement made the entire situation less scary.
“I mean, yeah, we were both scared at first- we still are!” You laughed. “It took us about ten minutes to actually have the conversation because I had to teach Spencer that condoms are only 97% effective-“
“What?” Derek gulped.
You both ignored him as Spencer laughed, “Hey, in my defense-“
Derek interrupted again. “Hold on- are you serious?!” He sputtered, eyes bulging out of his head. “So like 3% of the time they don’t even work?!”
You all just stared at him, you should’ve expected this.
“They should put that on the box!”
“They do!” Emily huffed.
“What?” He yelped, pulling a strip of them out of his pocket and examining it.
The trio started to bicker but you ignored them, looking up at Spencer who was laughing at the sight in front of him. You couldn’t imagine having to go through the next nine months with anyone else. You were the luckiest girl alive.

The One With Will and JJ’s Wedding - Part 2
Tumblr media
Summary: Based off of 7.24 and 8.01 of Friends! During Will and JJ’s wedding, the group finds out who is actually pregnant and try to figure out who the father is, a mysterious red sweater being their only clue.
Pairing: Spencer Reid x Fem!Reader (eventually lol)
Word Count: 4.1k
A/N: Hey! Thanks for the love on the last chapter! I apologize that there is barely any Spence and Reader rn but it’ll def pick up in the next chapter! Keep sending responses and requests! I love to hear from you guys! And yes, I picked this gif on purpose. Enjoy!
Masterlist - Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3
While the guests of the evening went on to party and get plastered, you, Spencer, Emily, Hotch, Penelope, Derek and Rossi had stayed to take pictures with the newly weds.
You, Emily and Penelope sat and watched while JJ and Will took photos with the men.
While the cameraman changed film, Morgan leaned over to JJ and whispered, “Okay, I-I know, I’m not supposed to know but I do and I am so excited for you!”
Clearly not being as low as he thought he was being, Spencer’s head perked up, “Wait, what’s going on?”
Before JJ could even respond, Morgan cheered, “JJ’s pregnant!”
Hotch and Rossi’s heads immediately turned at the news and they broke out in huge smiles.
“Oh my God, JJ!” Spencer smiled, pulling her into a hug.
Will just laughed to himself as Rossi followed with two kisses to the cheek and Hotch gasped with a, “This is great news!”
“Thank you guys, but I’m not pregnant!”
“Oh, slow swimmers?” Rossi asked Will who gave him a bewildered look.
“W-what?! What do you mean, you’re not pregnant?” Morgan clearly confused.
JJ pinched the bridge of her nose, “Derek, you didn’t tell anyone I was, did you?”
“No
” he paused. “I’ll be right back.”
While Derek scurried away to go correct the mess he had made, JJ turned to Spencer, ushering him to go after the man and make sure he didn’t make the situation any worse. As he left, the cameraman told Rossi and Hotch they were free to leave and it was now turn for the pictures with the bridesmaids.
Waltzing up to the pair, Penelope asked, “JJ, why’d you tell the guys you weren’t pregnant?”
“Because I’m not!” She replied, clearly fed up with having to go through this so many times.
Emily rolled her eyes, “We found your test in the garbage, I mean, if you’re not pregnant than-“
You looked up and stared at Emily with desperate eyes, hoping she would understand what you were trying to tell her. Her mouth flew open for only a split second as she caught on, “It’s because I am.”
JJ and Will looked at each other in shock as the cameraman continued to snap pictures of the conversation beforehand. You wanted to tell him to stop and that this was something you never wanted to remember.
Before the two could even get a word out, Penelope shrieked, “What are you talking about?!”
“I-It’s true. Um, I am with child. I just didn’t want to say anything because it’s your day!” Emily explained and you prayed they were buying it. “I didn’t wanna steal your thunder!”
JJ’s hand flew to her forehead as she tried to comprehend this. “Wait a minute, so you thought telling people I was pregnant was a better idea?”
“Emily, who’s the father?” Will asked.
“I-I can’t say.”
-
While JJ and Will were having their first dance, Emily found it as the perfect opportunity to interrogate you.
“Y/N, what the hell!?” she scream whispered, taking the seat next to yours.
“Thank you for doing that, Em. I just can’t deal with the stress right now of telling everyone,” you sighed, grabbing her hand and giving her a soft smile.
Emily’s harsh expression fell and she squeezed your hand back. “God, Y/N/N, why didn’t you just tell me? You didn’t have to pretend JJ was the pregnant one!”
“I mean technically you said she was, I just didn’t disagree with you!”
“Sneaky!” she gasped.
“Listen, I wanna talk about it
but I’m just not ready yet,” you sighed, hoping she would understand.
“Yeah, yeah! Of course
”
There was a pause.
“Are you ready to talk about it now?”
“Em, no.”
She nodded and there was another pause.
“Now?”
“No!”
“Okay, fine! We’ll talk about something else!” she said defensively throwing her hands in the air. You nodded, silently thanking her for her long awaited cooperation.
“So, who’s the father?”
You rolled your eyes, flicking her in the head which earned you an ‘Ow!’.
“Look, I haven’t told him yet so until I do, I don’t think I should tell anybody else,” you whispered.
“No, yeah. That’s fair, I understand
 Is it Hotch?”
Your eyes nearly bugged out of your head as you scolded her, “Emily, no!”
“Fine, I’ll stop!” She apologized. “It’s Reid, isn’t it?”
You groaned, putting your face in your hands.
She gasped before whispering, “Oh God, don’t tell me it’s Derek’s!”
She continued to guess as you ignored her and drowned her out, your eyes focusing on him just across the room. He was laughing at something Rossi had said and you couldn’t help the guilt you felt flooding through your chest, knowing you were holding in information that would soon flip his entire world upside down.
The guests broke out into cheers and applause as JJ and Will concluded they’re dance, sharing a kiss before they parted. You kicked Emily in the shin as you noticed JJ walking towards your table, begging her to stop listening off names of men that could possibly be your baby daddy.
“Hello, my beautiful best friends and bridesmaids!” She gushed hugging you both from the back.
You smiled back up at her as she took a seat next to you and noticed Derek and Garcia making their way to your table next.
Grinning, Derek held out his hand to Emily and said, “Come on, Prentiss, I know you’re dying to move that thing out on the dance floor!”
She laughed grabbing his hand and letting him lead her to the crowd of dancing friends and family while Penelope took her seat.
“She better be having all the fun she can right now, pretty soon she’s gonna be all miserable and in pain with a baby inside of her, making life hell.” Penelope laughed, watching her two best friends make a fool of themselves dancing provocatively.
You nervously laughed, breaking off a piece of bread from the bowl infront of you.
JJ shook her head, “I can’t believe it, you guys! I mean, how dumb do you have to be to get pregnant?”
You snapped your head up at the bride, “Hey, you know, sometimes you can do everything right, everyone can wear what they’re supposed to wear and one of those little guys just gets through!”
JJ met your eyes and furrowed her brows at your defensive tone. Before she could respond, Garcia asked, “How?”
“Ugh, I don’t know! Maybe they have tools!” You sighed, defeated.
“Listen, I talked to her, and she said she’s having this baby. She said she’s gonna raise it all on her own
” JJ shrugged, smoothing down her dress.
“Well
maybe that’s really brave of her
” you started to say, a wave of nausea hitting you for the third time that day.
“I just hope she realizes how hard it’s gonna be. How is she gonna handle this financially? How is she gonna juggle work? I mean, does she realize she’s not gonna have a date again for the next 18 years?” Penelope sighed, putting her chin in her hand, watching her poor knocked up friend on the dance floor.
At Penelope’s words, suddenly tears were threatening to spill and you felt JJ’s eyes on you. You knew it wouldn’t be easy of course, but the girls were making some valid points that had never even crossed your mind. Your thoughts were interrupted by the waiter behind you, “Champagne?”
“Oh yes, please!” Penelope cheered taking two and passing one to you. JJ had taken one and politely thanked the waiter as he left.
You let out a sigh of relief, desperately needing something to take the edge off as you brought the lovely beige liquid up to your lips and took a sip. You had then realized what you were doing and stopped in your tracks, eyes wide. Looking down slowly, you spit the contents back into your glass, hoping the girls didn’t notice.
“Oh, th-that’s actually how the French drink it
” you stammered as you looked up at the girls who’s eyes were about to pop out of their heads.
JJ raised her finger and pointed at you as Penelope draped her hand over her mouth.
“O-Oh my-“
Before she could get out the words, Emily waltzed back over to the table, “Well I sure hope this baby gets my dancing genes because let me tell you, this ass doesn’t quit!” She took a seat next to Penelope, completely oblivious to what was just realized.
JJ rolled her eyes before saying, “Oh, give it up! Y/N’s really the one who’s pregnant?!”
“What?!” Emily shouted, pretending to be in shock.
She was met with eyes of unamusement.
“Oh, why bother?” She sighed, giving up the act.
“Y/N/N, how do you feel?” Penelope asked, concern washing over her face.
“I don’t know
I don’t know how I feel. This is all happening so fast and I have to make all these decisions that I don’t want to make!” You whined, bringing the champagne to your lips again, quickly spitting it out as you remembered you were with child. “Oh, someone just take this away from me!”
JJ grabbed it from your hands and set it down as Emily came to a realization, “You know, maybe you’re not even pregnant! Theres false positives all the time!”
Penelope nodded in agreement, “Yeah! Are you sure you peed on the stick right?”
“How many ways are there to do that?”
“Just relax, okay? Don’t freak out until you’re 100% sure.” Penelope said, giving your hand a gentle squeeze.
“Yeah
you’re right. I’ll take another one when I get home.”
“What? Come on! You gotta take it now! It could be your wedding present to me!” JJ begged.
You nodded, agreeing that you would do it.
Penelope cheered, “Ooh! Yay, I’ll run out and go get you one!”
“Wait-“ JJ gasped, stopping Penelope in her tracks. “Who’s the father?!”
Emily rolled her eyes, “Oh, please. I’ve been trying all day. She won’t say.”
“It’s my wedding! Come on, you gotta tell me! That could be my present!”
“Hey, I just gave you peeing on a stick as your present!”
-
“How much longer?” You asked, pacing the bathroom floor.
“Thirty seconds.” Penelope replied, holding the little stick in her hands.
JJ barged through the door, “Did I miss it?”
Emily shook her head, as she tried to calm you down, rubbing small circles on your back. You were so scared, as if the responsibility of being a mother wasn’t enough, you still had to tell the father too.
JJ walked over to you, grabbing your hands. “Y/N/N, I want you to know that if it’s positive
we’re- we’re gonna-“ She couldn’t even finish her sentence, but she didn’t need to.
“I know
” You smiled, tears threatening to spill. You knew that no matter what the results were, you had your girls.
“It’s time.”
You dropped JJ’s hands and walked over to Garcia, who was handing you the test.
You held it in your hands as Garcia put a comforting hand on your shoulder. “I-I can’t look at it. Someone else look at it for me, please?”
Emily nodded understanding your apprehension and took it gently from you, also picking up the little instruction book to decipher what the lines meant. JJ and Garcia both waited in anticipation.
There was a pause.
“It’s negative.”
You turned, meeting her eyes. “What?”
“It’s negative.” She repeated.
“Oh
” You frowned, tears back at the surface. “Would you look at that?” You forced out a laugh. “That is, that’s great. That is really great, great news.” You stammered.
“You know cause the whole
not being ready and the financial aspects.” You continued. “Wow, this is just so the way this is supposed to be.” While your words may have sounded convincing, the look on your face gave it all away. You sighed as JJ walked over to you, “Well then, thats great
” she whispered, trying to read your emotions.
Tears had started to fall and Garcia went and grabbed tissues handing them to you at an alarmingly fast rate. “This is so stupid!” You choked out, dabbing at your eyes. “How could I be upset over something I never had?” As the words left your mouth, JJ wrapped you in a hug, Garcia quick to follow.
As you clung to them, you looked up once more and looked up at Emily who was still standing in the same spot. “God, it’s really negative?”
“No, it’s positive.” She smiled.
JJ and Penelope turned around and looked at her, their jaws dropped. You let out a gasp, your hand covering your mouth. “What?!”
“I-I lied
 It’s positive.”
JJ turned to you in shock, wiping at the tears that had formed around her own eyes.
“Oh my God
” Garcia cried as Emily passed you the test to look for yourself.
“Now you know how you really feel about it!” Emily smiled.
“Oh, thats a risky little game!”
JJ’s smile was radiant as she stood beside you to also get a look at the little stick in your hand. “Are you really gonna do this?”
“Yeah
” You muttered, eyes still leaking with tears. “I’m gonna have a baby
”
“I’m gonna have a baby!” You cheered as you were met with three pairs of open arms. You all wept in happiness together before Garcia pulled back and asked, “With who?”
“It’s still not the time!”
-
The wedding had finally ended and the following day, you, Emily and Penelope were all sitting around in JJ and Will’s apartment, like usual.
As the conversation about the previous day had died down, you had decided to finally speak up.
“Guy’s, today I’m gonna tell the father of the baby.”
The girls cheered in excitement, not being able to wait any longer for the big reveal.
“It is so weird! I mean, you’re gonna tell this guy today and he has no idea what’s gonna happen!” JJ pointed out, taking a sip from the coffee mug in her hands.
“Yeah, you’re just gonna knock on his door and change his life forever!” Emily added.
“Yeah
I guess it is pretty big news
” you sighed, taking a seat next to JJ on the couch.
“Pretty big? It’s huge! God this guy doesn’t have a clue. He’s just walking down the street thinking, ‘I had sex with Y/N Y/L/N! I rock!’ Then bam!” Penelope clapped her hands. “Now he’s a father, everything’s different.
“Well it’s only gonna be different if he wants it to be. I mean, I’m not gonna ask him for anything
” You defended, anxiously running your hands through your hair.
“Well, he still has this huge decision to make. Now he’s walking around thinking, ‘Do I want to be a dad?’ and then, bam!” Penelope exclaimed clapping her hands again, never finishing her sentence.
“What was that bam?” JJ asked.
“I don’t know. H-he’s hit by a bus or something.”
Before you had time to process Penelope’s words, Morgan walked through the door, immediately sauntering over to the fridge.
“Hey, Derek, what would you do if someone that you slept with told you she was pregnant?” You asked, craving a guy’s perspective.
Slamming the fridge door he looked up at you wide eyed. “Who called here?!”
The girls rolled their eyes as his panicked expression only continued. “Did she sound blonde? Did she have an accent?! I gotta make a call-“ He began to run towards the door.
“Derek! Derek, it’s not you! You didn’t get anybody pregnant!” You called out to him, making him stop in his tracks.
He let out a sigh of relief, clutching his chest. “Why would you scare me like that?! What the hell’s going on?”
There was a long silence as Derek made his way over to the living room, raising a finger. “Is somebody pregnant?”
You scoffed, trying to play off your nervousness, before you turned to Emily, giving her those same desperate eyes from the night before.
“Oh, yeah! That’s me!” Emily laughed awkwardly.
“Oh my God! Em! You’re gonna have a baby?” He gasped, walking towards her.
“Yes, yes I am.” She said smiling as he walked up and pulled her into a hug.
Derek was so excited for her he almost forgot to ask the most important question. “Wait- who’s the father?”
“You don’t know him. It’s not important. He wants nothing to do with me or the baby.”
Derek’s jaw was on the floor. “Who is this guy?! Huh? Cause I will track him down and kick his ass!”
Emily was at a loss for words as Penelope spoke up, “I know she doesn’t want to say it
but his name is Kevin Lynch!”
That was all Derek had to hear as he angrily turned away and stormed out of the apartment, muttering the name ‘Kevin Lynch’ under his breath.
As the door slammed shut, all three of you turned your heads to Garcia.
“Pen, who’s Kevin Lynch?”
“Oh, some guy from work. He’s a little annoying.” She shrugged.
-
A couple of hours later, you found yourself sitting alone in O’Keefes, nursing a cup of tea with a racing mind. You had played the conversation from earlier in your head a million times, you were so scared to drop this bomb on him. You didn’t want to make him feel obligated to care for you and the baby.
While you freaked out, Emily, and Penelope stayed in the apartment trying to stop JJ from opening up all the wedding presents without Will.
Derek had quickly barged through the door. “Um, Emily
”
“Yeah, what is it?”
“Alright, sit down. I have something I wanna say!” Emily obliged and took the seat, not without clutching her stomach and giving her non existent baby a small pat. “It’s a scary world out there, especially for a single mother.”
JJ and Penelope listened intently, having no idea where this was going. “Now, I’ve always felt you and me have had this special connection, a special bond
” He had crouched down, getting on one knee, pulling a box from his back pocket. The girls gasped.
“Emily Prentiss
 will you marry me?”
Emily was in awe looking between Derek and the ring.
“Oh my God!” JJ exclaimed, rolling her eyes.
“Derek, what about me? I thought we promised that if we both weren’t married within the next ten years, we were each others backup plan!” Garcia croaked.
“Derek-” JJ started walking towards the two but was cut off by Emily excitedly putting the ring on her finger. “Hell yeah I’ll marry you!”
“Em, you can’t marry him-“
“Hey, lady, your day’s over. It’s my turn!” She retorted, grinning down at the hand.
“Hey! Why can’t she marry me?”
Penelope stood up this time. “Because she’s not pregnant! It’s Y/N! Y/N’s pregnant!”
“Hey!” Emily whined.
“I think he would notice when you didn’t have a baby in nine months!”
“Oh please, it’s Derek!” Emily complained. There was really no arguing with that.
“Wait so if Y/N’s pregnant, who’s the father?” Derek asked in shock.
“That’s the thing, we don’t know.”
There was a silence before Derek was struck with realization. “You know
about a month ago, this guy spent the night with Y/N
now I didn’t see who it was, but
” and just like that he walked out.
“Was that story over?” Garcia asked as the trio followed him out to his apartment across the hall.
Derek emerged from his room holding a bright red sweater. The girl’s gasped as Penelope took it from Derek’s hands.
“Oh my God, I know who the father is!”
-
The next morning, you and Penelope began to walk to O’Keefes. Before you could open the door, she reached out to stop you.
“I have a surprise for you!”
“Pen
what is it?” You asked reluctantly.
“I called the father for you!” She said smiling.
“You what?! How did you even know-“ You stopped as she showed you the bright red sweater you had been pulling off just a month ago. You gasped.
“I believe this belongs to the father of your baby!” She gushed, holding it up.
“Oh, God
 he’s in there right now?”
“Yep! You got this, Pretty Girl. Just go in there and rip the bandaid off!” And with that she pushed you inside and you were met with the eyes of your ex, Luke Alvez. Honestly you were surprised Penelope had even called him, she had genuinely never liked the guy.
“L-Luke?” You managed to choke out as you sat in the chair across from him.
Penelope followed you to the table, already rolling her eyes at the man in front of her. “Y/N has something to tell you.” She pulled the sweater from behind her back. “I believe this belongs to you.”
Luke gave a confused look as he began to pull down the zipper of his jacket. “Actually, no. This is my red sweater.”
You immediately put your head in your hands as Penelope’s jaw dropped.
“Oh no
” She stuttered. It was silent. “Can I get anyone a coffee
or a poison? No? Just for me? Oh, okay!” And with that she ran away, knowing she had messed up big time.
“So, what’s up, Y/N?” He asked, smiling at you.
“I’m sorry, Luke. But Pen made a mistake-“
“You know I’m actually glad she called. I’ve been meaning to reach out and see if maybe you’d be interested in getting drinks sometime soon. I really miss
us.” He confessed, grabbing your hand.
“This isn’t a great time
” you trailed off.
“Trust me, it is. I’m ready to be fully committed and mature this time around, Y/N.”
“Luke-“
“Come on, let’s give us another try.”
“Luke, I’m having a baby.” You gulped, him dropping your hand at the speed of light.
There was a long pause.
“You can go.” He didn’t even think twice before running out of O’Keefes at the speed of light.
-
You and Penelope walked back to JJ’s in silence. You weren’t mad at her, you knew she was only trying to help. You were more mad at yourself for not having the courage to just tell the actual father the truth.
You walked in the door, placing the red sweater and your bag on the kitchen table. Derek was the first person to speak up.
“How did Luke take it?”
“One, Luke isn’t the father!” You huffed. “And two, who told Derek?!”
You looked around at JJ and Emily’s guilty faces as Derek interjected. “Y/N
I am so happy for you.” He pulled you into a hug, being careful not to squeeze you too hard, and you couldn’t help but smile.
“Oh, wow, you didn’t even try to unhook my bra this time!” You exclaimed as he pulled back. He laughed before he got down on one knee in front of you. You looked behind you at the girls in shock as they rolled their eyes.
He shook his head and grabbed your hand. “Listen, it’s a scary world out there, especially for a single mom. I’ve always thought that you and I have this special bond, you know? So, Y/N Y/L/N
” He smiled softly up at you. “Will you marry me?”
“What?” you sputtered along with JJ and Emily and Garcia who let out an, “Again?!”
“Emily! Give me the ring back!” He whispered, never breaking eye contact with you.
“No!”
“Oh, Derek! You’re so sweet! But I’m not looking for a husband.” You sighed, ushering him to stand up.
He frowned and nodded, “It’s fine
 I understand.”
You smiled softly as you gathered your belongings. “Now, if you will, excuse me I’m gonna go and lie down.” You left the room with a wave to the rest of the girls, promising to see them later. There was a lot on your mind and you just needed a second to breathe.
As the door closed, Emily walked up to Derek, shaking her head. “I can’t say that didn’t hurt.” JJ pinched the bridge of her nose, not believing this was still going on. “But I’ll take you back Derek Morgan.”
“Um, Em
About that-“ Saved by the bell, Spencer and Hotch walked in the room, greeting everybody with a wave.
Morgan jumped up, trying to distract Emily from the previous conversation, “Look everybody! Spencer’s here!” He chuckled nervously. Hotch rolled his eyes and raised his hands up, clearly offended by being ignored.
Spencer looked around confused before just deciding to ignore Morgan’s strange behavior that he was so used to.
“Anyway, you guys ready to go to that movie-“ He began to feel around his pockets, groaning as he realized he had forgotten something. “Hold that thought, I forgot my wallet.” He began to walk out but was immediately stopped short as he noticed something on the table.
“Hey! My sweater-“ He spoke, walking over to where it was laying, picking it up and examining it.
“I’ve been looking for this, for like, a month!” He laughed, before walking out.
JJ, Emily and Penelope all looked around, mouths dangling open.
“Oh my God!”
“No way!”
“It’s Reid!”
Morgan looked at the girls with a puzzled expression. They just started back at him waiting for the realization to come, which hit five seconds later.
“Oh my God!” He yelled, pointing to where Spencer had just left.
Hotch looked around confused.
“Did I miss something?”

Masterlist - Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3
“Do you guys realize that this is the last time we’re all going to be here in O’Keefes as all single people?” JJ sighed, fiddling with her thumbs. You smiled at this, leaning on the arm of the couch, JJ sitting to your right. Emily sat on the couch also, squeezed in next to Garcia. Reid nursed a cup of coffee on the love seat to the left, while Hotch, Rossi and Morgan sat around the small table listening intently to their friend.
“Why, what’s happening to O’Keefes?” Garcia questioned, not understanding what JJ was trying to say.
Everyone just stared at her, used to this kind of behavior, and waited for the lightbulb.
“Ohhh! Right!”
“I cant believe in just two days I’ll be Mrs. LaMontagne. God, it’s just- we’ve been waiting for so long and now the day is finally here,” JJ smiled to herself, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.
“I’m so excited for you, Jaje,” you smiled, resting your hand on her knee and giving it a light squeeze. She placed her hand over yours, “I just can’t help but be nervous, you know?”
“Of course, that’s normal! But actually, it’s been statistically proven that men are more nervous about marriage than woman. About 60% of men get cold feet-“
The sentence was cut short with a yelp as you kicked Spencer in the shin, urging him to stop.
Morgan cleared his throat as JJ laughed nervously. “But that’s not gonna happen... right?”
“Hey, don’t look at me...” Rossi chuckled.
“N-no of course not!” You stammered, trying to calm the bride to be’s nerves. “Spence, what are the statistics of couples that actually end up happy together?”
“Well actually about 50% to 60% of marriages end in divorce, but that doesn’t count factors such as death-“ he started.
“Well would you look at the time, we gotta go!” Garcia said, putting an end to this conversation before it could get any worse.
“Where are you guys going?” Hotch asked, taking a sip of his drink.
“We’re going to pick up the wedding dress and then go have lunch with my Mom,” JJ exclaimed as the girls all stood up to gather their belongings. Morgan got up with them, leaving Spencer, Rossi and Hotch to exchange questioning looks.
“Derek, you’re having lunch with JJ’s mom?” Rossi asked, furrowing his eyebrows.
“No... I just heard lunch...”
-
After lunch, the girls sat around the apartment as JJ went over her list of things that still needed to be done in order for her big day.
“So what else do you have on that list?” Emily asked as she delicately applied a second coat of polish to her right hand.
“Oh, this is a different list. This is my list of all the things that could go wrong at the wedding,” she said as she wrote a couple more notes on the paper before her.
As she was met with silence she continued on, “You know, that way I could be prepared.”
“...Well, what do you have so far?” Garcia chimed in.
“So far I have, my bridesmaids dresses won’t get picked up, my veil gets lost or I don’t have my something blue-“
“Hey! Those are all the things I’m responsible for!” You interrupted, putting your coffee mug down.
“I had to do with the odds, Y/N/N!”
Before you could interject again, Will waltzed through the door. You all greeted him with a smile as he stood behind JJ’s chair, placing a  kiss on the top of her head.
“What are you guys up to?” He asked, his hands finding their way to JJ’s shoulders.
“Just finishing my list of all the things that could go wrong at the wedding. You can never be too sure,” she shrugged, making a couple of more notes.
Will shook his head laughing, “Oh, relax! Everything will be perfectly fine.”
“Yeah!” You chimed in. “Stop looking for things to go wrong, you don’t want to jinx it!”
“Exactly!” He agreed, walking over to the fridge to grab a beer. “So, who’s excited for 7:00 tonight?”
You all just stared at him as Garcia walked behind JJ, tearing the page off the notepad. “You might want to start a, ‘What Could Go Wrong at the Rehearsal Dinner’ list. One: Will forgets the time.”
“Will! I told you a thousand times it’s 6:30!” JJ huffed immediately scribbling down on her new paper. You grab the notepad and clutch it to your chest. “Will you stop it? He’s just messing with you! He knows it’s at 6:30!” You turn around at his wide eyed figure. “Right?”
“Uh- yeah! I knew it was 7:00 I was just kidding-“
“6:30!” You all yelled in unison.
“That’s what I meant!”
“You’re killing me here, Will!” You whispered before turning back around to your best friend. “Jaje, everything will be perfectly fine! Everything is going to go as planned!”
“She’s right! You need to stop worrying!” Emily laughed, blowing on her nails.
JJ nodded, “Yeah, you guys are right...” She stood up walking to her fiancĂ©, “Can you believe that tomorrow we’re gonna be married?!” He smiled at her before giving her a quick peck on the lips. “Yes, and I’m so excited for you to finally be Mrs. LaMontagne.”
You all smiled at the interaction, none of you could be happier for the pair in front of you.
“I just cant believe we made it!” She swooned, grabbing his hands in hers.
“Well, you don’t have to sound so surprised!” Will scoffed.
“It’s just- never mind.” She started, walking to put some dishes in the sink.
“What?” Will laughed, following her as she walked.
“Well... honestly,” she started, “... ever since we’ve gotten engaged I’ve been waiting for something to... you know, flip you out.”
You all giggled, silently agreeing. It was no question that Will loved JJ, but he had a tendency to overthink.
“Honestly, me too... I keep waiting for something stupid to come up that’ll make me freak out and go all... Will. But nothing has.”
She turned around and smiled at him, caressing his face. “I’m so glad. Thank you so much for staying so calm during all of this.” She placed another kiss to his lips before slipping into the bathroom.
You all sat in comfortable silence for a moment before the phone started ringing. Before anyone could volunteer to answer it, it had stopped, automatically going to voicemail.
“Hi! If you’re calling before Saturday, you’ve reached JJ and Will! But if you’re calling after Saturday, you’ve reached Mr and Mrs. LaMontagne! Please leave a message for the LaMontagnes!”
The girls all giggled, having been there when JJ recorded it, assuming Will had heard it already. You all continued what you were doing and missed the look of panic that was only being discussed not too long ago. Will started to sweat profusely and loosen his tie a bit, feeling he was being choked to death.
The LaMontagnes.
-
The rehearsal dinner had gone smoothly for the most part, nobody realizing the panic that had been struck into Will just hours before.
Before they knew it, the night had ended and their big day had begun. The girls had been sitting around like they were the previous day, eating breakfast and chatting, excited for what was ahead. JJ was prancing around the apartment, nervously fluffing pillows and moving magazines in a straight line, she had so much adrenaline and didn’t know what to do with it.
Little did she know that across the hall, Spencer and Derek were tearing the apartment apart looking for the groom to be. Will had been staying with them the night before, being that JJ wanted the wedding day to be as traditional as possible, which meant they were not to see each other until she was walking down the aisle.
“Will! Come on, buddy. Time to wake up!” Morgan huffed, knocking on the door.
After no answer, Spencer called, “Will...”
No answer again. The men exchanged questioning looks as came to agreement their next move was to just walk in. Opening the door, they were met with a neatly tucked bed. They looked at each other confused. Derek walked in going to see if there was an trace of where he went as Spencer walked towards the kitchen.
He stopped in his tracks as his eyes met with a piece of yellow paper sitting on the counter. “Morgan...” He started, walking over to read what it said.
“What is it, Pretty Boy?” Derek asked his, standing next to Reid.
“Oh no.”
The boys ran across the hall, knocking feverishly on the door in front of them. They were met with your smile, “What’s up, you guys?”
Your smile quickly faded as you saw their worried faces.
“Is JJ in here?” Morgan asked in a hushed tone.
“She’s steaming her dress, why?” Garcia answered coming behind you.
The boys walked in the door a little further. Spencer looked up at you, pulling the paper out of his pocket. “I think Will’s gone...”
You reluctantly took the paper out of Spencer’s hands, Garcia looking down to read it with you.
“Tell JJ I’m sorry.”
You met Spencer’s eyes with disbelief of what was in front of you. The group had soon enough caught Emily’s attention and she walked over.
“What’s up?” She asked as you placed the note in her hands.
“Tell JJ I’m sorry,” she read aloud. She looked up at Morgan, shoving the note in his hands, “Tell her yourself!”
You pinched the bridge of your nose as she attempted to walk away, grabbing her by the forearm and pushing everybody outside the door.
“Oh my God! Will just left her?” You cried, running your hands through your hair.
“Okay, yeah! But maybe it’s not what we think! Maybe it’s, ‘Tell JJ I’m sorry... I drank the last of the milk!” Morgan said, desperately trying to convince himself also.
“Oh!” Garcia nodded excitedly, “Or maybe h- he was writing to tell her that he’s changed his name, you know! Uh- Tell JJ I’m ‘Sorry.’”
You and Spencer looked at each other in annoyance before Spencer whisper shouted, “I think it means he freaked out and left!”
“Don’t he so negative! God, isn’t it possible ‘Sorry’ is sitting in there right now!” Garcia whisper shouted back at Reid.
Spencer put his head in his hands and before it could escalate any further you put your hand on Garcia’s shoulder and said, “Okay, I-I think Spencer is right. What are we gonna do?”
Spencer sighed, “Well, me and Derek are gonna have to go find him and bring him back.” You all nodded in agreement.
“You guys make sure JJ doesn’t find out, okay?” Morgan added, clearly stressed.
You all started to go your separate ways as you noticed Garcia following you and Emily back into the apartment.
“Oh! No you don’t!” Emily started, blocking the door with her arm.
“W-what-“ Garcia stammered confused.
You called back to the boys who were walking out of their apartment again, jackets  and phones in hand, “She’s coming with you guys.”
“Good call,” Spencer laughed.
“What are you talking about?!” Garcia huffed looking back and forth between the group.
“Pen, we need JJ to not find out! You’d blow our cover in seconds!” You said nudging her towards the guys.
“Oh, come on! That’s not fair-“
“Babygirl, you know you can’t keep secrets-“
“Oh, fine!” She rolled her eyes, walking away with them.
You and Emily walked back into the apartment as JJ excitedly ran out of her room with wet hair and a robe clinging to her body. “I’m getting married today!” The sentence ended with a yelp as she fell to the floor, you and Emily running to her aid but quickly coming to a halt as she picked herself up, not even phased.
“Think I just cracked a rib...” she started, her smile still intact. “But I don’t care because today’s my wedding day! My day is finally here! I’m gonna start getting ready!” She ran back into the room clapping and squealing.
“You know... she might not even notice he’s gone,” Emily shrugged, attempting to lighten the mood.
Tears prickled at your eyes and you put your head in your hands. “She cant start getting ready! This is too awful!”
“Shh!”
“She’ll be in the gown, and then he won’t show up! And she’s gonna have to take off the gown! It’s gonna be so awful-“ You started, panic running through your veins.
“Y/N, stop it! You cant do this out here!” Emily rolled her eyes, pulling you into the bathroom.
“I’m sorry! I’m sorry! It’s just so sad!” You cried, gripping the sink and shaking your head.
“You have got to pull yourself together! JJ cant see you like this or else she’ll know something is wrong!” Emily urged rubbing your shoulder in an effort to calm you down.
“I know, I’m sorry. God, there’s no tissue!” You groaned looking around the sink, “Can you grab me some toilet paper?”
There was no toilet paper either, Emily looked down into the trash can. “Oh... I found some...” She hesitantly reached into the can, pulling out some crumpled toilet paper and handing it to you.
“Thank you, Em,” you sniffled, wiping away your tears, “Can I have another one?”
Emily scratched the back of her head, cringing as she looked down at the trash can again. “Sure...”
She pulled the sleeve of her shirt up before reaching in again, pulling out some more. “Need some floss?” She suggested, shaking it in front of you with her hand.
You ignored her as you continued with your tears, “I just cant imagine what is going to happen if Will doesn’t show up.”
Emily continued to look through the can.
“I mean, she’s gonna be at the wedding waiting for him! And people are gonna be whispering, ‘Oh, that poor girl!’ You know! And then she’ll have to come back here and live all alone,” you shook your head, turning to face the previously steamed wedding dress hanging up on the shower rod.
“Oh my God.”
“What?” you asked, eyes never leaving the beautiful dress that you hoped to see your best friend in later that day.
“There was a pregnancy test in the garbage and it’s positive.”
Your eyes widened as you turned to face Emily and the little stick in her hands.
“JJ’s pregnant.”
Your hand instantly shot up to your mouth.
Emily sighed, “So I guess she won’t be totally alone.”
“Oh my God,” you whispered.
“Can you believe it? JJ’s gonna have a baby!” Emily said in disbelief, “Hey, can this count as her something new?”
You were at a loss for words, this was bad.
“Do you think this is why Will took off?”
You shook your head, biting your nails, “No, she had to of just taken this test. I took out the trash last night.”
Emily looked back down at the little stick, “This is turning into the worst wedding day ever! The bride is pregnant, the groom is missing... and I’m still holding this!” She shuddered as she dropped it back into the trash.
“Em...” you started, meeting her eyes, “we cannot tell anyone about this.”
“Right... yeah. Okay,” she nodded standing up from her spot on the toilet seat, you following her movement to the door.
“Wait do you know what kind’ve birth control she was using?”
“No, why?” you asked.
“Just for the future, this is hardly a commercial for it!” You tried to laugh but nothing came out, you were screwed.
-
“Anything?” You asked as you walked into Spencer and Morgan’s apartment.
“Nothing! And we looked everywhere!” Garcia groaned from her spot on the couch.
You all shook your head in disbelief, this was a nightmare.
“I am going to kick his ass when I see him! I’m starting to think we don’t really even know this guy! I mean think about it, does anybody else ever really understand him when he’s speaking?” Morgan huffed, looking around for an answer.
You rolled your eyes, “Shut up, Derek! He’s just freaking out! We should’ve known this was gonna happen sooner or later!”
Reid sighed in a agreement as he met your eyes, “This is bad, you guys. I don’t know where else we should look.”
You ran your hands through your hair, “We’re gonna have to just tell her that he’s gone!” you said as you turned around to walk towards the door.
Spencer jumped up from his seat, “Y/N, no! We can’t!”
“Spence, she’s gonna start getting ready soon!”
“Cant you at least stall her a little?” He pleaded, walking over towards you. “We can go back to some of the places we went last night!”
You looked up at him, he was grabbing your forearm lightly. You could never say no to those eyes.
“Alright,” you sighed, “...how much time do you need?”
“How much time until she absolutely has to start getting ready?” Derek interrupted.
“One hour.”
“Okay, give us two,” he replied, gathering his things from the counter.
You rolled your eyes in annoyance, “Then why do you even ask?!”
You all started to walk towards the door. Emily decided to join them, being that they needed all the help they could get. Hotch and Rossi were now in on the plan too and they agreed they should all split up in groups.
“Y/N! There you are!” JJ giggled as she excitedly walked towards you as you entered the apartment. With her cosmetic bag in hand, she sat down at the kitchen table, already spilling out the contents, “So I thought we’d start with my makeup and then do my hair!”
“Okay... uh...” you stammered, “before we do that... I-I need you to talk to me...”
“About what?”
“Um...” you were already cringing at the words about to come out of your mouth.
“I’m never going to get married!” You cried, placing a hand over your face.
JJ rolled her eyes and looked up at you, “Yeah, you will! The right guy is just around the corner... Okay, are we done with that?” she said quickly and continued to look through her makeup bag.
“JJ, I’m serious! Maybe I should just forget about it! I’ll become a lesbian or something...” you rambled on, faking more tears and sitting down next to her, trying to get her attention again.
However, it didn’t work. JJ didn’t even look up at you when she scoffed, “Any woman would be lucky to have you.”
You mentally face palmed. This was getting pathetic, and you couldn’t believe what you were about to say next.
“Maybe it would make me feel better if I just slept with Derek.”
JJ immediately stopped what she was doing and put a hand on your shoulder with wide eyes and a concerned face. “Oh my God, Y/N, are you okay?”
You shook your head quickly and stuffed your face in her shoulder, letting out fake cries.
-
“What are you doing, man?” Derek huffed as he stood besides Hotch and Penelope in front of Will’s desk at the station.
“I cant believe you guys found me! I knew I should have hid somewhere more secretive!”
Penelope rolled her eyes, “Will! What the hell are you doing?
Will shakily ran a hand through his hair, “Panicking...” he pointed to laptop opened in front of him, “Also trying to prove on the internet that I’m related to JJ.”
The trio was unamused.
Will got the hint quickly and asked, “How is she?”
“She’s fine. She doesn’t know you’re gone,” Hotch spoke up, getting closer to the desk, “and she doesn’t have to know, okay?”
Derek nodded in agreement, “Yeah, come on. We’re going back home-“
“I-I can’t! If I go back, we’re gonna become the LaMontagnes!” Will cut him off, shaking his head, “I can’t be the LaMontagnes!”
“What’s wrong with being the LaMontagnes?” Garcia questioned, clearly not following.
“The LaMontagnes have horrible marriages! All they do is yell and fight, and it never ends up well!”
Hotch, Penelope and Derek looked back at Will, finally understanding. He didn’t talk about it much, but Will and his parents were not close, he was too scarred from what they had put him through growing up to ever reconstruct their relationship.
“Man...” Derek began in an effort to calm him down, “You are nothing like either of your parents! You and JJ would never put each other through anything like that!”
Will thought about it for a second before saying, “I mean, look at Rossi! It’s just been divorce after divorce-“
“Will! Listen to me!” Penelope interrupted walking over to the side of the desk, “Right now, no one has a lower opinion of you than I do... but I totally believe you can do this!”
Will looked at his hands before saying, “I want to. I love her so much. But I’m afraid... this is... too huge.”
“You’re right, it is huge,” Hotch chimed in. He remembered when he was the one getting married and started to sympathize with the nerves of the man in front of him. “Just take it one step at a time. Forget getting married right now, can you just come home and take a shower?”
Morgan nodded in agreement, “Yeah, that’s not scary, right?”
Will slowly started to stand up in agreement and the trio in front of him couldn’t help but smile.
-
“The nights are the hardest...” you cried, looking down at your hands. JJ rolled her eyes. “But then the day comes... and that’s every bit as hard as the night. Then the night comes again-“
“I get it, okay? The days and nights are both hard!” JJ snapped in frustration. “Look, Y/N, I’m sorry but I have to start getting ready. I am getting married today,” she emphasized.
“I know... at dusk. That’s such a hard time for me.”
JJ stood up, not being able to take anymore of your pity party. “Okay. I’m gonna go put my makeup on. We have to be at the hotel in an hour.”
As she started to walk towards the bathroom you jumped up, “W-wait! Let’s go to lunch!”
“I can’t go to lunch!” She shrieked, running into the bathroom.
You were starting to run out of ideas. Throwing yourself to the floor you yelled, “Oh  good God, I’ve fallen down!”
JJ stormed out of the bathroom, crossing her arms and looked at you sprawled out on the floor. “What the hell is going on?”
“Alright, JJ, listen...” you said standing up, feeling the tears ready to spill. “When I tell you what I’m about to tell you I need you to remember we’re all here for you and we all love you.”
JJ’s gaze softened, “Y/N/N, you’re really starting to freak me out...”
You looked down at your shaking hands as you whispered, “We can’t find Will...”
And just like that the door opened to reveal a smiling Emily Prentiss holding two big thumbs up.
“...s vest. We cant find Will’s vest-“
“How can that be are you serious?!” JJ cried.
Emily caught on and shut the door walking towards you two, “Found the vest! Well I mean we have to keep an eye on it. You know, to make sure we don’t lose it again!”
JJ instantly relaxed and started laughing, “Oh, thank God! Don’t scare me like that, okay?”
You both started nervously laughing as she started to walk towards the bathroom to finally do her makeup.
“For a minute there I was like, ‘Oh my God, the worst has happened!’ Phew!”
You and Emily both looked at each other with a sigh of relief.
-
Derek stood behind Will in the mirror, smoothing down his tux. “See, that wasn’t so scary was it? You put on a tuxedo!”
Will laughed nervously, looking at his reflection, “No... I guess not.”
Spencer smiled, “See, just a little bit at a time.”
“So what‘s the next little bit?”
Derek and Spencer looked nervously at each other, knowing they had to choose their next words very carefully.
“Just uh,” Derek stammered, “Getting married-“
Will let out a girl-like shriek, putting his head in his hands.
“W-woah, relax! You can do it! Just like you’ve done everything else!”
He lifted his head, nodding at Spencer’s words. “You’re right... I can do it. Just excuse me for a minute,” he sighed walking towards the door.
The men shared a skeptical look before Will added, “I’m not gonna run away again! I just need some fresh air.”
The boys reluctantly let Will out of the door and he paced the halls, trying to let all the nerves out. Hearing familiar voices around the corner, Will walked into one of the empty rooms on his left, trying not to be seen. The last thing he needed was to run into JJ in her dress before they were married and ruin this day even more than he almost already did. He soon recognized the voices as Y/N and Emily.
“I just cant believe JJ is pregnant! We gotta make sure we don’t say that too loud in here, you know they frown on that,” Emily said, referring to the church.
Pregnant?! How could it be? They used protection every single time?
All Will could hear was your humorless chuckles and wordless responses to what Emily was saying.
When your voices were gone, he popped his panicked head out of the door and started pacing the other way.
-
“Hey...” Derek nervously laughed as he entered the bridal suite. He was met with the eyes of JJ’s family members and gave them all a quick wave. “Have any of you seen Will?”
Penelope was fixing her hair in the mirror and quickly turned around, “I thought he was with you!”
Suddenly everyone’s attention was on Derek. “Well... he was,” he awkwardly looked around. “We’re playing a game of hide and seek.”
Penelope’s shoulders relaxed, “Well you can’t ask us, Chocolate Thunder! That’s cheating!” She turned back around scoffing, to continue pulling at little pieces of hair to frame her face. The rest of the room was clearly uncomfortable.
Derek gritted his teeth, “You’re right. Thanks for keeping me honest, Babygirl...” he smiled at the rest of JJ’s family, trying to make sure they didn’t suspect anything.
Walking towards Penelope to tell her Will was actually missing, he immediately came to a halt as JJ and Emily walked in the room.
“JJ, you look beautiful,” he smiled, giving her a hug.
She hugged him tightly and thanked him before asking, “How’s Will?”
Derek paused.
“Great. He’s doing great. Don’t you worry about Will!” he nervously chuckled before turning his attention back to the other side of the room. “Penelope, Emily, will you help me with something outside?”
The girls nodded and followed him out, Penelope closing the door behind them.
“Will is gone again!”
“Oh my God!” Penelope cried, “Why would you play hide and seek with someone you know is a flight risk!”
Derek rolled his eyes before turning his head and seeing the man of the hour walking with a small gift bag.
“Hey- There he is!”
“What-“
Without thinking Derek sprinted towards the man, tackling him on the floor. “You’re not getting away this time-“
“What are you talking about- I’m not trying to leave! I-I know about JJ.” He groaned, pushing Morgan off of him and standing up.
“You know?” Emily asked in disbelief.
“Know what?” Garcia chimed in, matching Derek’s expression of confusion.
“I heard you and Y/N talking...” Will answered.
“Talking about what?” questioned Derek, looking around confusingly.
“Oh my God... You know.” Emily whispered.
“Can someone tell us what the hell is going on right now-“ Penelope exclaimed.
“JJ’s pregnant.”
The pair looked at each other in shock, and broke out in smiles as Will pulled out a tiny onesie.
“Anything this tiny can’t be so scary.”
-
The ceremony had begun and all the guests had taken their seats. Rossi took his rightful spot in the center, being that he would be the one to officiate the wedding. Will was accompanied by his parents down the aisle and one after the other, the bridesmaids and the groomsman met in the middle and followed. It went Emily and Hotch, Derek and Penelope and then it was time for you to meet Spencer. It was the first time you had seen each other dressed up. The day had been so hectic you hadn’t had the chance to run into one another. He looked handsome in his suit, his hair so perfectly messy, and it took everything in you to not sprint over to him and run your hands through it.
Spencer was speechless, He couldn’t help but smile at the sight of you walking towards him to meet in the aisle. You looked gorgeous in your light blue bridesmaid dress that hugged you perfectly. Your hair was pulled back on the sides, a few pieces hanging and your makeup was elegantly placed, highlighting all the features he loved.
“You look beautiful,” he whispered as you met up and linked arms. The blush spread through your cheeks like a wildfire and you prayed the camera couldn’t pick it up.
“Thank you,” you whispered back. “You don’t look too bad yourself.”
As it came time to part from him, you slowly unlinked your arms and walked to your respective sides, but not before giving his hand a gentle squeeze. He smiled at that.
JJ had walked out and tears were brought to not only Will’s eyes, but everyone else’s. She looked gorgeous and you couldn’t help but feel ecstatic for her as you knew she had been waiting for this moment her whole life.
Rossi had soon announced them husband and wife and everyone had cheered as they kissed one another. It was truly a moment of bliss.
“I love you,” Will whispered while cupping JJ’s cheek, “and I know about the baby too.”
“What baby?” JJ laughed.
“Our baby.”
“We have a baby?”
“Emily found your pregnancy test in the bathroom-“
JJ looked at him confused, “I didn’t take a pregnancy test...”
“Then who did?”
You, Emily and Penelope stared at the two in awe.
“Just look at them, they’re so happy.” Emily gushed.
“And they’re gonna have a baby!” Penelope smiled.
You nodded nervously, the wave of nausea hitting you like a ton of bricks.
“Wait- Penelope knows now too?!”

Hungry Eyes
Tumblr media
masterlist
Summary: Spencer is tired of hiding your relationship.
A/N: The idea for this fic came from a lovely anon that requested a fic based on She’s So Nice by Pink Guy. I also drew inspo from Hungry Eyes by Eric Carmen (strange mix, but stay with me here.) So basically, a lot of Dom!Spencer goodness. I’d like to say a huge thank you for almost 1k followers, because wow. I never imagined 5 people would actually want to read my writing. I love you all, and I hope you all enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. Let me know if you’d like to be tagged in future works!
Pairing: Spencer Reid x Fem! Reader
Warnings: swearing, jealousy, degradation, spitting, slapping, oral sex (male and female receiving), spanking, vaginal penetration, unprotected sex
Word Count: 5.5k
“That is one fine piece of ass. Don’t think I could get any work done with a sweet little thing like that prancing around my precinct,” mutters yet another sleezeball detective, beady eyes trained on you like a lion might study their prospective prey. It’s moments like these that Spencer has to remind himself that patience is a virtue – that he must bite his tongue because he’s at work and that means he has to act professional. Even if those around him don’t seem capable of affording him the same luxury.
So, it’s with a clenched jaw and all the self-restraint that he can muster that Spencer forces himself to focus on the task at hand. Because Spencer is a professional, and there are more pressing matters that demand his undivided attention. The detective could be dealt with later – in the form of a complaint to the higher ups. But for now, patience.
Usually, this wouldn’t be a problem. Years on the job had taught Spencer to remain level headed no matter the circumstance. Usually, Spencer could tune out the locker room talk in favor of immersing himself into the case. But when it came to you, or rather, people who dared to look upon you with eyes laden with lustful intentions, Spencer had a rather short fuse.
It happens often, and he supposes that he shouldn’t be surprised. You’d certainly turned his head the first time he was fortunate enough to lay eyes on you. He’d nearly broken his neck trying to steal another glimpse of you as you walked past him on your way to Emily’s office on your first day. No one would ever describe Spencer Reid as forward, but on that day, he was the most brazen he’d ever been.

this vast empty space
spencer reid x reader
request: I’ve had this idea floating in my head after watching some One Tree Hill and Criminal Minds one day👀 what if the reader and Spencer have a child together but things are getting a little rocky with reader and Spence and they’re arguing so Spencer spends a lot of time at JJ’s with his child and JJ’s kids and one day the reader doesn’t let her child do something so they get mad and say they wish JJ was their momđŸ„ș but somehow a fluffy ending? Idk🗿
warnings: angsty. panic attacks. me. its super duper long
um
depression symptoms
fighting
.thats all

.enjoy!
“You’re taking her over to JJ’s?”
There was this distance.
There was an impenetrable wall. It was standing between the two of them, blocking their eyes, blocking their bodies from ever touching, from ever looking at one another.
There was this wall.
It was stuck between them, stuck standing there keeping them from each other, stuck living next to them, living with them, breathing in their space.
This distance, this wall, this irritable thing standing between the two of them forcing them apart, forcing an uncomfortable feeling over their house, over their relationship, over their family.
It was unavoidable.
It was impossible to remove.

ALSO, the title is majorly stupid, but it was the title of the google doc, and i couldn’t think of anything else
