Yeah, this is probably the umpteenth fanart you'll see confronting Giorno and Jodio, but I finally got time to depict my headcanon using my own AU "Giorno has two dads", and I love it, lmao. I had a good laugh doing this.

In my AU, Jonathan is that kind of loving and caring father full of patience, but he transforms into Satan himself once he had enough bullshit. And Dio is the kind of parent who supports and motivates his offsprings, but by encouraging them to do... not so good stuff, lol.

LMAO, I'm already working on a new comic of my "Giorno has two dads" AU and I intend to publish it before the end of this week! It has nothing to do with mermaids, but it's hilarious.

I had nothing planned for mermay, but thinking about it has inspired me to try at least some simple illustration of... well, you'll see~

Jojo Monthly Redraw [4/9] - Diamond is Unbreakable

This is the 4th of a total of nine drawings I'll do throughout the year. I'll be redrawing one scene from each part of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, from Phantom Blood to The Jojolands.

I don't understand why Diamond is Unbreakable is so underrated among other people, because I love a good slice of life. And Yoshikage Kira is one of my favorite main antagonist from Jojo's, next to Valentine and Toru. He's a very well-built character. He's disgusting, but he has still some charm in him. I chose this scene because when I saw it the first time, it hit me in the worst possible way, and I wanted to draw not only funny scenes that I enjoy, but also scenes that make my skin crawl.

Next month is Golden Wind!

When I read chapter 13 of The Jojolands, I busted out laughing with that picture of Jodio at 11yo, like everyone else I suppose. That made me think about how bad and ugly is Araki art sometimes, and encourages me not to be so hard on my own art. Even with such ugly stuff, Araki is a very famous, admired and talented person, and he has gone on to exhibit his artwork at the Louvre! That thought of museums and bad art made me think of the Simpsons, and here I am with this nice crossover, lol.

Jojo Monthly Redraw [3/9] - Stardust Crusaders

This is the 3rd of a total of nine drawings I'll do throughout the year. I'll be redrawing one scene from each part of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, from Phantom Blood to The Jojolands.

I enjoyed watching Stardust Crusaders a lot, especially the more funny chapters. Yeah, of course I liked the introduction of stands in battles as everyone else, but I'm a sucker for comedy, lol. And although it's not my favorite part out of all of them, I can assure this chapter where Hol Horse and Boingo work together against the Crusaders is one of my top favorites! ... No, I'm not being ironic.

The lack of Handsome Jack in the Borderlands movie trailer has awakened a feeling that had been dormant in me for several years.

Other artists may draw themselves being smooched by their fav characters, but... I'm a realist and I know he wouldn't do that, lol.

Nine years have passed between the first drawing and the new one, and I'm still fucking obsessed with him. Handsome Jack best fictional villain ever. You cannot change my mind ψ(｀∇´)ψ

Not-Jojo content for a hot minute! Let's talk about the Borderlands movie...

First things first, I don't know if you know this, but my nickname comes from Borderlands. Although now I only talk and draw about Jojo's, I'm still a big fan of the Borderlands games.

When I played the first game, I loved the concept about sirens, and it was back then when I started using my actual nickname (circa 2010). Then, when Borderlands 2 came out, I was obsessed with Handsome Jack. And when I say obsessed, I mean OBSESSED with huge and bold capital letters. I consider Borderlands 2 the best Borderlands game of them all, and The Pre-Sequel is a close one just because of my full Jack obsession, lol.

Keep reading for my opinion about the trailer...

I don't remember when they announced that they were making a Borderlands movie, maybe 2017-ish??? I was extremely excited, thinking that they would adapt the story of the games (back then, I think Borderlands 3 wasn't even announced, but they could have started as a trilogy...). I even fantasized about the idea of Dameon Clarke, Handsome Jack's VA in English, being Jack in the movie as well. But that dream was long gone when I read that the film would not exactly follow up the story we all know. And the wait to see something about this movie was LONG.

I finally watched the trailer when they released it, and even it's not the story I was hoping to see... I kinda like it. I didn't feel the hype I expected being a huge Borderlands fan, but I think I can still enjoy it. Some stuff from the movie feels off (like Roland's personality... he doesn't feel like Roland at all... and where are Lilith siren tattoos!?!?!?), but other stuff feels total in the style of Borderlands (people bullying Claptrap in some way is a must). The movie has its flaws, but people on Reddit keep bitching about Lilith and Tannis being too old, Roland being too short... ugh, I don't fucking care about the cast not being aesthetically perfect (but I admit that I would have liked them to). If the actors and actresses do a good job interpreting their characters and the story fits the Borderlands' universe with good humor and action, I'll consider myself lucky.

That was my impression of the trailer in English, but I'm from Spain, so the next day I watched the trailer again, but dubbed in Spanish, and... it felt way funnier! At least Tina's phrases sounded funnier for me (instead of saying "it's in my mouth!" she says "I swallowed it" lmao), and some voices suit the characters better than the original ones. Usually, it's the other way around, lol!

I think the localization will improve the movie for me, and that gives me some hope to enjoy the movie besides all the bitching on Reddit. Seriously, guys, stop complaining about people's bodies... there are other things to be criticized...

To try to introduce myself into the mood, maybe I'll do a redraw of an old Borderlands fanart... it'll be coming soon!

In terms of shipping, I respect everyone choices (with the obvious exceptions of shipping blood relatives... c'mon guys...), and although I consider shipping Jolyne and Anasui perfectly understandable and valid, I prefer to ship Jolyne and Ermes.

This idea originated when I sent a meme to a friend about Anasui asking Jotaro's permission to marry Jolyne. Jotaro thoughtfully says he didn't know Jolyne was a lesbian, to what Anasui replies that he's a man, and then, Jotaro refuses in no time, lol.

I told my friend: "It would have been funny if it was canon that Jotaro had refused to let Anasui marry Jolyne, but then Ermes had asked 'what about me?' and Jotaro cheerfully agreed." My friend replied that it was a great idea for one of my comics, and I immediately got into it, heheh.

Thanks for your feedback, anon, but... they're kinda right there? I just drew his hair backwards to represent that he was running at full speed. IRL, when you run, your hair moves, right? I know that in the original scene, Joseph's hair is stiff, but I like to draw flowing hair. And I can tell you, it has been very difficult to adapt Joseph's hair to what I wanted :( It's a redraw in my own style, after all!

I hope it now makes sense! 😊 And if you still don't like it, that's okay! Respectful opinions are welcome here!
