know my place.
constant reflecting... my place is that golden throne above yet my mind lingers towards the depths below.
distracted by the familiar comforts; that warmth of another body draws me from the truest form of the depths.
betraying this pure heart of mine... honour in hand, I leap forth.
I let that warmth dissolve and encompass me.
every day the reflecting pool grows dull, a flutter of what was once... a swallow’s breathy wings echoes from the cold throne;
 abandoned.

Delicate.
I desire to be delicate to you. Like a doe resting in a grove of flowers.
Though this heart leads me to be cautious of you. I wield these harsh words like a dagger against your throat.
I dare you to underestimate my defences. The scarlet slash in your flesh is so vivid in my mind.
The desire to be delicate still lives in my mind, but these hands, this voice, these eyes of mine have lived a life unknown to delicacy.

temptation
As if death were on my fingertips,
I could only look from afar.
~
Your bud, sparkled, blooming,
My temptation wavered.
We broke in two.
~
I touched your soft petals,
Despite the cold death.
Wallowed in your withering warmth.
~
I could only look from afar,
As if life was glistening on your lips.

love you...
personal vent poem about a flashback. please do not read if you have abuse triggers or do not like seeing this kind of content.
i’d love to see you, he said
smell you,
touch you
hold your throat between my hands,
your breath mixing in mine,
life draining before me, because i am powerful.
suffocating much more than my lungs,
my heart, my mind, my life; everything felt so fogged and dark.
even though you can’t reach here anymore,
those hands still hold me
bind me,
constrict me.
wrapping and thickening; enveloping.
nothing can touch me, nothing can break this
i’d love to leave you
but you love to hurt me more.

lotus
the pond is so quiet now, where have all the butterflies gone?
where has the rain gone; your petals, once so lush and full, are now dry and burning
oh lonely lotus, the bed of lily pads are so cold.
was there not another lotus who kept you warm those nights?
who held you close, who made this lonesome pond of yours feel void of such gloom.
I don’t remember anymore, all the pain feels the same in time
take my hand lonely lotus,
take root in a new pond, you are still so lovely--
I couldn’t, whoever they may be, I await their return

I forget
I forget that these feelings come in waves; forgotten how they make me ache.
I’ve lost all train of thought, I’ve forgotten...
Forgotten how much it meant to hurt, and hurt, and hurt; hurting as if nothing could ever be more than the self inflicting suffering, no more.
Distracted by the sun, she’s so bright.
Forgotten about the black moon, she’s so chaotic.
I’ve forgotten, forgotten how to live without you.
