A dry December day in a boring area of my city. The water tower seen here is called the "Water Castle" and was built in 1905 by Hungarian State Railways (Magyar Államvasutak) and was used for filling up the steam engines. It had a crucial role during WW2 for the thousands of trains that needed to get in time to the frontline. Its capacity is 500 cubic meters and today the water is used for cooling some equipment and fire protection.
